Speaker 1 (00:00):
In other words, it's Trustmas time. Who goes off Bob's
for boils Girls, that's Trustmas all right.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
That was the audio test for crom Dumb give me
audio test.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Trying uh testing one two test tests one two. This
is a mic test from Kyle whose voice just sounds
like dominic because it's true. Yeah, I didn't feel like
doing a voice. I tried. I literally came here the
day we started the show, the first ever recording session
that got scrapped like the other three after that, and
I was like, yeah, I'm gonna do a voice. I'm
gonna do an accent, and then we just started talking

(00:44):
as Kyle and I was like, well, I forgot to
do my accent, so I'm just not even gonna try anymore.
And then we scrapped four episodes, so it's like I
still could have but didn't think about it.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I think he's salty about that. He mentioned it twice
and forty seconds.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
No no, no, no, no, no no. It's not that
I'm not sulty about that at all, because I'm on
they all sucked compared to the first episode we released. Yeah,
I agree, let's be completely real on all of our parts.
They all sucked.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, okay, and we're gonna start. Sorry, this is Dungeon

(01:34):
Master Mike for Mythical Misfits. Welcome everybody to episode seven.
That's probably where I'm gonna put the intro song. All right,
who wants to recap? No, this happened the last time
he started singing, and then we made him recap.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
So let's recap.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I have the memory of a tortoise.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Michael the Actually, DM, you haven't done a recap for
us since the first episode. The second episode scrapped. If
you guys rolled bad, I didn't. We actually did not
roll on every episode. Last episode, crom rolled amazing, I
rolled decent, and he sniped like a king.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
All right, So last episode, you guys went to the
cave to try and find the magical artifact that was
out of the village of Willow Shade I believe it was,
and you were approached by a gentleman named lug Nug
and he thought you were the contact. You guys lied
to him, it was very immoral, and went in there

(02:35):
and he was telling you that something was wrong with
his boss. You guys went in to find out that
he was being affected by something that he was holding
with you correctly assumed to be the artifact. After a
a you know, a nice combat, you guys were able
to dispatch the boss, who had been turned into some

(02:57):
type of fiery beast thanks to the artifact, to find
out that it was a spoon, a little wooden spoon.
You guys gave a lot of life advice to slug
Nug and that was generally the entire episode.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Don't forget about that creepy mass figure who had enough face.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
You're right, yeah, I forgot so he came in afterwards
the actual contact. You guys then skirmished rather quickly dispatching him,
and uh, that was the end of that. So today
we're going to begin the episode by fading in. A
blacksmith's hammer, gripped by swollen arm, bulging with muscle and

(03:34):
glistening with sweat, comes crashing down onto the broadside of
an unusually large axe. The metallic clang reverberates through the air,
and as the hammer is lifted away, it reveals a
circular piece of strange metal, glowing orange, the heat quickly dissipating.

(03:54):
Engraved onto the metal is a mysterious roune that pulses
with a surge of power, shooting tendrils of energy into
the rest of the axe. Herb, standing nearby, gestures silently
to Kyle to retrieve his axe from the blacksmith's anvil.
Kyle steps away from the bellows where he was helping

(04:15):
the blacksmith and picks his axe up. The weapon now
hums faintly with a newfound potency. As Kyle hefts the axe,
Herb hands a blacksmith a small pouch, its jingle suggesting payment.
The blacksmith accepts it with a curt nod, a silent
agreement passing between the three without a word. Herb and

(04:37):
Kyle pull up the hoods to their cloaks, the fabric
catching faint droplets as the rain begins to patter against
the smithy's roof. Together, the two step out into the
rainy evening, their silhouettes fading into the night. A couple
of days pass, you guys are milling about the rowdy

(05:02):
raven when you hear Herb yelling behind the bar to Jack.
He's back there, screams.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
He's like, I know she's right here.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Let's just try a good spice to get bye, trying
to ship it out, and you hear Jack trying to
calm him down. He's like, Herb just it's all right, man, No,
you don't calm down.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
You have no proof.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I don't need proof. He screams, and spittle flies out
of his mouth. What are you guys doing.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Looking at my great acts? Because I'm still admiring in
awe of what the blacksmith did to it. And when
Herb starts yelling, I just look up and I'm just
like an he possibly yelling at this beautiful day.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
You hear him screaming, she took my pears. I know
she did, say tell her says, store the paper, just
shim it. She took your pair. Herb looks over to you,
He's like, oh, she took my pears. She's about the
last ship it at the market. I was gonna get
over and she no, I was gonna get a special
side and ie brow this time of every every year.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Up Lucas is sitting at the bartop like no bag,
no weapon, no nothing, It's all in the in the
room and he's just like sitting there.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
You see, Jack is just exasperated. It's just like I
feel that buddy, you know, is he sobering now? It
doesn't seem like it everyone. What do you mean that's
I've never tested my supplies.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I'm fighting.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
It's Oh, I gotta tell you I never told her
about my says, She's across the street, says that to
get me Jackson Herbs, she's not, Yes, yes she is.
He runs the ash and album at a restaurant. She
had been out to get me, Ever said, shame moved,
and I said, and just provide better product. It's not hard.

(06:49):
I provide the best product on this side of the
damn river. She stowed out to get me, and I
can prove it. Jack's like, you haven't been able to
prove it for ten years.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Herb.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
It's like, well, oh, I probably one of these days
and I'll get arrassed, arrested.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
By the guard.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Lucas gets up and lets Jack handle that, and he's
gonna go to the room and get his equipment.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Okay, what's doing?

Speaker 6 (07:10):
Crom is like outside, like next door in an alley,
laying on the ground next to a feral cat.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
He's just again occasionally he.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Would just like he'll he'll look over to the cat
and then.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Oh you gotta go like disclose, Yeah, yeah, there you
go much better. Okay, They no more karate shop distance anymore. Yeah,
it's this is gonna be a lot easier for editing
it for this close. Gotcha is but a yeah, yeah,
we're good. Okay.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
So he's just laying on the ground like next door
in an alleyway, next to a feral cat, and then
like occasionally he'll just like look up, look up at
the sky, and then then he'll turn to look at
the cat, and I'll say.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Ever, wonder what happens when you're dial.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
The cat finishes looking at privates and looks at you thoughtfully, mayam,
I thought so? And it saunters off, and your eyes
follow the cat's path, wondering where it's off to today,
and it catches movement down the alleyway. You see a
cloaked figure approach the side door to the tavern, and

(08:18):
it knocks under the door of the tavern, the same
one that Jack brings the deliveries in. And Kyle, you're
still in the main room of the rowdy Raven. Yep, Okay,
it's a pretty busy day, you know. In fact, Jack
is like trying to serve people while trying to calm
herb down. Did you hear the knocks and Herbert's like, oh,
I bet that's her.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Herb. Her check I'll check it out. I'll go kyl, Yes.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
It's her got her head off, sure, thank you, Sure.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Save check it. That's how you take out of it.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Jack's like, I get off my barstool, sheathe my axe,
and I walk over to the back door. She is
still a knock yeah, okay, I knock back.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
You hear that, and you see the figure just kind
of like knock again.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
Crom gets up and goes and just pushes the door open.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
You walk up to the figure like, and he kind
of looks at you. And as you walk up to him,
she's got kind of pale skin. Let's see. I think
he's got green eyes, black hair, and he she just
walk up to the door and open it. And the
door opens and you see Crom standing next to this figure.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
I'm looking at the figure. I don't see Crom. I
think the figure open the.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Door okay, and he's looking at you and.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
He goes, hello, all right, how can I help you?

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Is a herb here?

Speaker 3 (09:47):
I turned back and I listened to see if Herb's
still yelling, and Jackie he is, yeah, yeah, he's here.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Would you would you get him full of me.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Yeah, sure, I turn and I'd like to imagine Kyle
still doesn't know crumbs there and he accidently kicks him.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I don't know crumb? Does that? Do you dodge out
of the way. I mean, I'll side step. It is nothing.
And the man looks down at you and he goes, sorry, man,
a good day. I'm doing fine.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Town.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Why do you need Why do.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
You ask how temple?

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (10:30):
Yes, absolutely, this town, as I believe one. I'm not
much of a praying man myself. The south side of town,
as far as I know.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
By her you're got company?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Do you run off?

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Okay? And you hear in the background before he sat
trying to pass next session, she got sand a raspberry
what And you hear from rustling and herb comes around
the or into the black burg sir. And he comes
around the corner really fast, and he's got a daggers
like oh. As soon as he sees the figure, he goes,

(11:09):
stands up stre He goes, oh, guy, why are you
lying to me?

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Funny?

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Now, there's not the time to joke. Boy puts a
dagger away. He says, come in place, you take your pair. Seriously,
don't you, of course I do. I take everything in
this tavern saiously like guests. And he gives a slight
nod to the man, who then nods and steps inside,
closing the door behind him. And he's looking expectantly between
you and Herb, and he goes, Herb, but where where

(11:37):
do we discuss? And Herb looks at you and he goes,
would you mind die checking on Jackie for a while?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah? Yeah, you know I have been worried about him.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Right right, Yeah, give me a perception check.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
That is a ten.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
It's not a one.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Wait, no, that's a nine plus eight. It looks like
a two nine plus eight, So that's that. That's seventeen.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Yeah, okay, So you are able to get a decent
look at him, and you do see the sigil of
the crown on his chest piece under the cloak.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Like on crown.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yeah okay, and uh that's it. You know, you get
a good size. He seems to be a half elf.
You know he'll skin noted. Yeah, and then do you
just head out from there?

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah? Okay, yay, and you help me with the horses.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
And Jack's like not really, uh you know, full bar.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
I'm the only one to hear, okay, I'll come help you.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
All right, thanks, and you go out front. A few
minutes pass, and you guys are you know? Jackie's like,
all right, he's gonna.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Want that one. Oh can you can you ripe?

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Wa? Those down?

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (13:01):
That table needs to be messed. Hey? Where are the
other guys?

Speaker 3 (13:05):
I don't know? Kyle has one arm pouring pooring an ale,
one leg wiping the counter, and the other one trying
to like pick up another mug.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
What's Lucas doing? I'm upstairs trying to craft Antler arrows? Okay,
all right, I don't know what the check? Would that
for be? Would that be? My goodness? Alright? So give
me a crafting check? Oh good lord? One second, let
me pull my modifier. We'll see you. How good I am?

(13:35):
I crafting right now? Excuse you? Yeah, excuse you? All right? Crafting?
Where's crafting? Cool?

Speaker 5 (13:45):
That is A seven plus six.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Thirteen? Well I set the DC to twelve. Oh cool?
So well me a D six. You get a D
six plus one of Antler areas arrows. That's four. Okay,
you have five Antler arrows. Yep? Nice cool? So special, ammo?
I will make your track okay, so write that down
somewhere normal, ammo, I don't make your track because that's boring.

(14:13):
Checks out.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Also, that Blacksmith event was what we talked about earlier, right, Yes,
so I have my potents here in my axe. How
do I add that on here?

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Uh? You're on Foundry right, yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
No, I'm on Foundry.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Sorry. Okay, I was gonna say, because I know sometimes
use path Builder listener. If you don't know what path
Builder is yet. Know we've mentioned a couple of times.
It's a three pathfinder two character creator and tracker. It
is amazing imagine D and D Beyond but even better.
And in some ways it doesn't look as good, so
the first time you look at it, it might look a
little weird, but trust me, when you start using it,

(14:46):
everything makes sense. Anyways, we will go to your character sheep,
and we will go to your inventory. We're gonna go
to great Acts and then go to your Axe. Go
to edit under details. You're gonna have a section four
potency room. There you go simply said it to weapon

(15:06):
potency plus one, wet and potenty. All right, done and dusted. Okay,
Now we fade in to the city streets of Willesden
with our goblin friend running along? What are you doing
looking for that temple? Okay? So I'd imagine you have

(15:30):
to ask people, you know, a couple like, you know, hey,
where's that temple? And they'll they'll send.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
You to it.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
So you are directed to a temple to Nisara known
as the Whispering Flame, the domain of Secrets, knowledge and magic.
You go up there and it is a small, unassuming temple,
clearly built by probably actual practitioners, which is not uncommon
for temples. But it's not the kind of temple well actually,

(15:58):
would Crome have ever been to a large city now?
Then this is the most impressive temple you've ever seen
so far. It is nicely made, well kept, made of
like light stone. But also you notice that all the
fabrics that are hung in there are dark, you know, blacks,
dark brown's, dark blues. And you see a mural on

(16:21):
the wall as a shadowy figure with a flickering flame
for a face, and there's a couple of people in there,
lighting candles and offering prayers. It's whispered and quiet.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
What do you do?

Speaker 6 (16:36):
I'll walk up the center aisle, I just looking for
someone to talk to.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
And as you do, a figure approaches you. It seems
to be an older woman, probably fifties or sixties, and
she's a halfling. She approaches you and asks, is this
something I can help you with?

Speaker 4 (16:58):
What happens after that?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
And she kind of like laughs a little and goes,
what is your name?

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Crumb?

Speaker 7 (17:07):
It is nice to meet you, Crumb. What happens after
you die is kind of a grand mystery at all
of us. Unfortunately, even the great Nasarah has not revealed
that to us.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
Why do you wonder, because I've been throwing up a
lot of ulduals adventures with my friends. Well, the thought
of more does time of truth? I don't want my
friends to die.

Speaker 7 (17:34):
Well that's that is quite a noble thing for you
to want. However, you might have found your way to
the right place. Is Nasara is the goddess of secrets
and knowledge? And perhaps she will reveal.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
It to you.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Does knowledge include bombs?

Speaker 2 (17:54):
I'm not really sure, young friend. She kind of looks
around and then looks down at her neckline, and she
goes here, she takes a necklace off and hands it
to you, and it's a single open eye with a
flame in the pupil and she goes praying to Nasara,

(18:15):
and perhaps she will grant you knowledge on the questions
that you seek.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Okaw, the prow.

Speaker 7 (18:22):
You close your eyes and feel in your heart. I
know who you wish to speak to and talk and
if you're lucky you we'll get your answers back.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
One way or the other, like out loud or you
can do either one. Okah, curl yes, is there any
other questions or anything else I can help you with?

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Not that about? Oh have you as well? Is that
her Mamma Nasara?

Speaker 7 (18:51):
Yes, Nasara Nasara, or the whispering flame, You may also
find yourself.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Kind of She gestures to the candles that are being lit.

Speaker 7 (19:01):
Whenever you are around flame and a moment of peace,
you can offer your prayers there. Some believe and I
do that the prayers make their way to her even better.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Through the flames.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
H huh.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Okay. I wish you luck on your endeavors.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Good lot to tump on last on her?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Oh, thank you very much. We we try our best.
Have a good day.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
I'll goodbye, And.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
She just kind of shakes your head with a smile
and goes back to the things that she was working
on before you came.

Speaker 6 (19:36):
In and then like Crom will make his way back
to the tavern. Along the way, Crom will find like
a tree and he'll kind of like kick it and
then realize he's not strong enough to make leaves fall
from a tree, so he'll like head butt it three times,
and then he'll grab a couple of leaves and then
and then start making its way back to the to

(19:56):
the tavern.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
All right. By the time.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Now CROM's done this ate.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Like a lot.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
Okay, this man blows himself up on the regular.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
I mean the first thing he did when he had
a gauntlet was literally smack a table and explode himself
across the room.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
Like it doesn't do that, but I thought it'd be
funny if it did.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
I mean, why not? Right? All right, you make your
way back to the Rowdy Raven, and when you walk in,
you see Jack and Kyle scrambling to try and get
the impatient drunkard patrons satisfied. You see Lucas coming down
the stairs. I'm assuming unless there's something else you'd like
to do.

Speaker 5 (20:30):
I would say I'm sitting at the bottom, just out
of ice sight of the bar because I don't want
to get called to work.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
With them.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Okay, I'm sitting there like examining my arrows to make
sure they actually made them properly.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
From the entrance, you could see Lucas kind of like
squished up on the side of the stairs, you know,
out of ice kick from the bar top basically yeah, okay,
and do you guys see and then you see herb
come out and he's like and then kind of helps
you guys for a quick moment until things start to
calm down, and he's like, uh, Bush, can uh can

(21:04):
you come here? Anybody that where.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Loca sayss have you been there the whole time?

Speaker 5 (21:14):
No, I just came down. I just finished crafting my.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Arrows to the wrap.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
I don't know there was island.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
I was.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
I just came down. Can you come to the back
room place?

Speaker 3 (21:26):
We got some business and story out crome? How long?
How long would you walk in the door?

Speaker 4 (21:30):
I'm not up.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
All right, I'm wearing in the back room and her
before her walks in the back room, he looks at
Jackie goes, do your contest for a minute.

Speaker 7 (21:43):
He goes, yeah, her I does.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
I'm sorry about earlier and walks into the back room.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
Chrome will walk up to Jackie if the havel trouple
list and then.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Give him a bottle of Balconis fire.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
He goes, okay, it's a volatile, so it's powerful. Just
hold it up and just just spread some little enough
about the calms out works up for the time. Mess
with her up and touch the knife and just us
up a little nut.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
And then I have a knife, Jackie, And no here
I had my back knife.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
I was. And the drunken guy comes up to the bar.
He's like, hey, can I get sees the bartender holding
a bomb and a knife. Heures never mind and then
turns around and walks away.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
We know we have a new one called fair Rappie.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
He just walks off. He goes. Jackie just kind of
puts the things on the shelf underneath the bar. He's like, sir,
come back, it's right, I could serve you, and kind
of walks off to help the serve the patrons of
the bar.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
That's sound, it's gonna go far, you know what I A.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
I kind of agree.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
All right, you guys joined herb in the back room
and herbs in there, and he's kind of like organizing things.
She's all three of you finally joined him and go, Okay, uh,
I got I got a favor assignment. I got something
that did you guys to do? I need you to
go to a local logging camp up north and share

(23:12):
what's going on. But having some issues with attack from
creatures or something?

Speaker 3 (23:19):
Okay, yeah, all.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Right, taxes like the trittles are attacked tax outta no problem.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
But honestly they probably should be paying taxes.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
I'll not talking about taxes rush as monsols.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
We don't do the petases.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
You're a humanoid goblin, you're a humanoid. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
That's some pedt taxes.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Yeah, I don't vote for him, five crumb. You guys,
you don't vote for a king.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
He's having some troubles, do I notice? Then as I
look at him, starts like, have a mental break down?

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Are you wearing the amulet? Didn't you?

Speaker 3 (24:04):
I'm not all right.

Speaker 5 (24:05):
I don't know what that is, but I just that's
a cool.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
That's a cool amulet.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
That's mine. That's wrong.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
I don't want an elpisode.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
It cool. Hostile crumb talk about taxes and getting oppressed
and you're violent.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Now it's okay.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
He gave Jackie that.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
If you need anything, let us know.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
The outside, I'm good on the outside. I'm tormented.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Guy man.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Anyways, can you guess more information on this task you need.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Us to do?

Speaker 2 (24:33):
He kind of looks at Crumb, not really sure what
the how to process that, and he goes, yeah, sure,
I was called that Fisher branch loggin' camp.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
This branch logging camp.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Yeah, got about a day or two walk up. No
did at first? As you start to approach the mountains,
and uh, we got some word that they know they're
having some problems. Weird stuff just coming out of the
woods given them problems.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Did your kingdom friend give you that information? Your kingdom friend,
the friend that came not an owl. I don't know
what I'm talking about. There wasn't anybody here.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
I slap a map on the ground that I'm like scribbling.
Does that look accurate in distance from us to this
what's it called?

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Again?

Speaker 5 (25:19):
I need to write the name down this whole branch
logging cam.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Does that look?

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Does that look ample distance to make a relatively accurate map?

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Mountains in the middle. It's probably a little bit more
this way, but yeah, pretty close, gotcha?

Speaker 5 (25:31):
I like draw a big X.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
We don't have erasers yet.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
Yeah, I haven't found an eraser yet there, so I
just like, I just like start scribbling in a new town, in.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
That treasure of the Ulfa spot.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
You know, I'm maybe, I'm sure we'll find something out there.
There's all sorts of cool stuff in the woods.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
But anyways, I have a sneaking suspension that might be
really had to attempted in magical. So if you guys
should take a look at it, and you know, give
him a hand and if some type of going on,
then maybe if it's related to a ntterfect bring it back.
Actually heard. I have a question for you.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Has magic always been this prominent in the world, because
in no, in Metal Fin we never saw magic.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
There was none, even even our healer.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
That's for the look in a mirror.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
You are having your face right now, and I can.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Tell are you feeling yourself?

Speaker 3 (26:33):
He's bad like a little ambulet, your little little gold
chain on your neck and you're.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
On one of the customers at the bar that's over
that I should let have more proud of myself and
doesn't have a little bit too much produ No, no.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
No, no, not too much. So this is just new
for us. We're used to you being like pretty self
deprecating one to blow yourself up all the time.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
So, oh, that's still he just turned his swag on,
that's all.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Yeah, she's turned on the charm. Swag is like style.
It's style when always man, you took the acronym from me.
I didn't hear you because you talked over me.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Wait what is what are you saying?

Speaker 3 (27:07):
I can't say it now? I forgot because I'm sad.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
What's what's the character? Super wild and great?

Speaker 4 (27:13):
I love super wild?

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Groat say?

Speaker 5 (27:17):
Anyways, you say swag and the crown voice?

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Yeah, he just did. But I don't know why you
called it the cronvice because it is a huge he's
been practicing his human voice. I think I think he
did that, didn't There was one night?

Speaker 5 (27:38):
Hold on, hold on, you gotta be real quiet, hands off,
go Sally.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
So she's right right, it's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
It's not bad. Anyways. Are we talking.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
About the brass copper browser branch logging camp shot?

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Anyways? Is there anything we should be prepared for when
we go out there? I don't know.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
It's a forest, so you know, Oh, it's my job
to know what we should be Oh, ship, guys, we're
going into a forest a.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Lot of stuff.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
I know, right, I have no clue what I'm doing.
Oh my, I know what I'm doing. It's just element way.
It's new to me. This is new.

Speaker 5 (28:32):
This is a new environment. I've never been in this source.
This source is different. We just walked through a chrono camp.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
But I remembered you asked about magic. No, magic has
always been around, but normally it's it's like the greatest
magic users of the Kingdom. But like Sumon, a little
bit of fire in her head.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
A little both other than some of the bunts with a.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Bomb crom I'm talking right now. So no, something happened.
I don't really know. And the things that would boom
are like there's a whole magic together. And then that's
that's kind of why we do what we do. It
seems like a lot of random stuff just kind of,
you know, started being dangerous and like this boone you

(29:20):
got that's right to turn the man into the torch,
the living torch. So yeah, that's kind of what we've
been doing, is grabbing all the random ship that turned
magical after things went down, But stand really sure why
it went down.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
The balance with you, Lucas was spaced out that entire time. Oh,
did not hear a thing? He's he's staring off into
the distance.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Just does he do that often?

Speaker 4 (29:47):
All right? So so so dials grab him, mascal atoms, Yes,
shut the so down, the doll the throat our villains.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Well, we're grabbing magical items. But yeah, we're kind of
got the sense that there are other people are such
in form tool. We're not really sure why.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Uh across that brout a right to the to the thistle,
brous lumber top.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Branch, lumber loge, got it?

Speaker 5 (30:22):
What?

Speaker 2 (30:22):
No?

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Oh at l that's a lumber the bomb. What did
you take? I've got a bad guy?

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Are you talking about it?

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Take crom herb.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
I don't get what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
A fine crime. I'm not mad at you. Ok.

Speaker 5 (30:46):
The Lucas, like, hey, plotting course on the map, right,
I'd be like, you know, we can always stop.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Here anyways, give it ever surprise you guys need that.
I gotta I got a badgint a check And he
kind of like hobbles over to one of the bear
rolls and like pops the lid off and smells it
not enough cardamom and starts rustling through some bags and
goes about his business.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
I'm gonna doobs.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
We gotta go prep my herrows.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
I'm gonna drink a beer.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
All right, So you guys then set off to the
Thistle Branch logging camp. As you're walking, lucas you get
familiar with your surroundings, you take a look at everything
around you. You start just doing what you would do

(31:41):
out in the forest around Meadow Fin. But since this
is a brand new area, you know, you realize that
there's so much more for you to learn here, and
so much information to gather in herbs, not herbs, herbs
back in home herbs to gather and and catalog and
learn about and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Looking from the trail under my feet to the canopy above,
everything in between, patterns of the trees, what grows here,
what doesn't, what looks like it's dying, and why everything?

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Specifically, You notice that all the plants that you see
around in this area are very healthy. You know, this
part of the woods are kind of under what's I
think it's called the rain shadow or something like that.
The part of the mountain side, I don't know if
you guys know it's but on mountains typically there's a
dry side and the wet side due to you know,
as air rises up, it does something with the moisture

(32:36):
and then all the moisture gets stumped on the other side.
Wellllurion is on the wet side. So basically, verdant forests
cover almost the entire kingdom versus the other side of
the mountains, which is a completely different kingdom that is desert,
but here plants are healthy and lush. You guys travel
for a couple of days without any issues, and you

(32:56):
make your way there to the thistle Brack, this one
ranch logging camp. At first, you don't realize you're even
there because everything's made out of you know, wood, It's
made out of the trees that they cut down. It's
a temporary logging camp. So as you guys get there,
you notice a little bit later than you normally would, oh, hey,
there's buildings right in front of us, but you don't

(33:18):
see anybody walking around. You guys are currently about one
or two hundred feet out side of the camp. What
do you do?

Speaker 5 (33:27):
I do what I always do, roll that secret check.
I'm just like, well, they're walking up. I'm just gonna
be like, well, okay, I'm gonna curve off to the left, and.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
What's your stealth again? Good question. I actually don't remember.

Speaker 5 (33:40):
By the look on your face, you rolled poorly, so
it doesn't matter. You do not have a good poker face.
By the way, it's going to be a nine because.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
It has a wonderful poker face.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
All right, So you curve off into the woods. Kyle Crumb,
how do you guys approach?

Speaker 3 (34:02):
I just walk up normal. I don't see any reason
to be hiding your secretive myself.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
You walk up normally and an arrow lands in the
dirt right in front of you. That's why would you
be secret if it's stealthy? You say that out loud, Yeah, okay,
And then you see a figure come out from beside
the building holding an arrow or in a bow, pointed
right at you, and they look at you and they
go huh sorry, and they lower the bow.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
As he's saying that, I grab my grain axe and
I hold it in front of my face and do
a barrel to the side.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Okay. He's like, oh, no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I
didn't mean to. I didn't know. I didn't know you
were a person. Oh, so what are you doing here?

Speaker 3 (34:41):
We were told there were monsters. Yeah, we're here to
kill them.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Oh, we thought you were one of them. That's why
I shot at you.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
I might be ugly, but I am not a monster.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Sir man, I apologize. Get in here and you He
looks at you, crumb. I'm assuming you're next to Kyle. Yeah, okay,
he's like, oh, Boster, all right, you guys, come on,
welcome in. Sorry, my name is Garrett. You can call
me Griz. Yeah, who said you? Where'd you come from?

Speaker 3 (35:07):
How'd you mean here came from?

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (35:11):
I want to call it not willow Shaded, It's not Wellowshed.
There's the other town, wills Willsden. So many w's came
from Wilsden.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Oh okay, yeah, yeah yeah. And as you get closer,
you see is a burly, middle aged man, thick salt
and pepper beard, weathered skin, dressed in heavy flannel, thick boots,
got a chipped axe that hang from his belt, chewing
on a stick right now. And he goes, oh, all right, yeah, sorry,
sorry about that. You're fine, said, we've been under attack
and these I don't know, weird things. First we thought

(35:40):
there were wolves, but I don't know wolves. Yeah, normally.
I don't know if you guys spent much time out
in the woods, but wolves don't normally attack encampments like this,
you know. No.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
Wolves usually keep to themselves and they packing packs, but
only if they feel threatened, exactly.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Yeah, that's why we're all really confused out here.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
I miss my pet wolf.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
And you see a few other people kind of kind
of come out of that out of some buildings, and
you know, some people are like in the middle of
doing some things. But in general, you notice it as
a logging camp. The activity is very low. There's not
a lot of things going on, a lot of logging
going on, exactly. And Lucas will go back to you.
You sneak off into the woods and you see that,
you see the arrow get fired, and they're having a moment.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
Then when I hear that arrow get let go, I
already have my own arrow drawn and I dropped through
a knee and I'm like prepared behind a tree for
whatever's coming. But then when I hear like the commotion
and like the the friendly banter, I'm like, okay, well
arrow is still knocked. And I watched them walk into
like a building of the sort, right, are there any windows.
Is it open at all or is it just solid?

(36:39):
There are windows, but they're not glass windows. They're just
you know, they're just square windows that they had, like
the hatch that they lower at night. You know, it's
it's a very put together, quickly logging camp airbones. Yeah,
opening right now. Yeah, Yeah, they're open right now, so
I can see them walking in.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Yeah, but then they didn't go into the building. There's
some people in the building, but they're kind of just
standing out front chatting.

Speaker 5 (37:02):
Okay, do you spify roller perception just for general awareness?

Speaker 2 (37:05):
What's going on? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (37:07):
That's eleven plus.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Ten, so twenty one. Okay, all right, and you just
stay in the woods for now.

Speaker 5 (37:16):
Yeah, I'm just watching from a distance, Okay. And then
I also want to mention I have the lip reading feet. Oh,
so as I'm doing that, I'm I'm literally dissecting the
entire environment person by person by person as quickly as
I can.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
And I'm okay, So with that perception role and with
the lip reading feet, you see a woman walk out
of the building and she's wiping her hands off with
a rag, and she turns into the building and says something,
and you're able to take a glance at her lips,
and she says, tell me if the wound opens back

(37:52):
up and turns to face the other two that join
the camp. You two see a woman and walk out,
a petite woman, long sun bleached blonde hair tied into
a messy braid. She got a patch leather apron over
her tunic and it's stained with various you're not really sure,
just it's not exactly blood, but there is fresh blood

(38:15):
on it. And she kind of looks at you all,
and she goes, did they send you with medical supplies?

Speaker 6 (38:23):
I have a.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
We all have heal?

Speaker 7 (38:27):
Yeah, all right, well we have a few hurt people
that were hurting the last attack by the wolves, so
we don't.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
She kind of looks at Grizz. We don't really know
what's going on.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
I'm tired of a doctor.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
He has a PhD, doctor cron PhD.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
All right, And she kind of looks at you up
and down. And most people have never seen a gobblin doctor.
You know, tinkerers, laborers maybe, but like a goblin doctor's
kind of unheard of, at least in this part of Lourion.
And she just she's like, okay, come on in, and
when you go into the building. You see a man
who is lying on kind of a makeshift bed and

(39:14):
he's got a large wound in his thigh that's been
patched up, it's still got fresh blood on it.

Speaker 7 (39:20):
And she's like, he was attacked by the wolf things
that came at us.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
And I know he didn't do too well.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
How lot of I was attacked.

Speaker 7 (39:29):
He was attacked last night, actually late last night. So
we did the best. We couldn't stop the bleeding, but
I don't know. These these things are nasty. All been
helm best as best as it can.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
She kind of wipes her hands on her apron again.
She's like, out here, you know, I mean, logos get hurt.
We have some medical supplies, but we kind of used
them all up. We've been under attack for almost a week.
At first we thought it was just like a you know,
a pack of wolves that got too close.

Speaker 7 (39:59):
Maybe they were out hungry and couldn't find nothing for
a while, so they thought we were good pickings. But
we killed one of them and it doesn't look normal.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
Okay, well, I'll I'm uncled, I'm all on promos and
should Bill relent some mile over?

Speaker 2 (40:18):
She goes all right, all right, thank you very much,
and she has back outside outside, you are with Kyle,
you are with Grizz and he's scratching his stick beard
and he's like, uh, yeah, so I'm glad you guys
are here, but we I don't know what to tell you.
They just seem to attack at random. And it just
started a little while ago, and the only person that

(40:39):
we had that can help us left. So, yeah, we
had a camp hunter who would keep us fed. And
I don't know, she said that. Past couple of days,
she's been talking about how she thinks she's seen someone
out in the woods, and yeah, she started asking around and.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
She have any I know, it's probably difficult to any descriptors,
hair color, what they might.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
Have been wearing, the hunter or the person the person.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
I think she never.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Told us about what the person looked like. She thought
she knew him though. And then that with she said that,
I don't know, she got this idea in her head
that an old temple in the area might be the
cause for messing up these wolves. Old temple, Yeah, there's
old temple in the woods, according to her, I don't know, man,
can you.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
I pull out a piece of paper, like, can you
sketch out real quick, like if I put an X
right here, here's where we're at, here's the lodge. Yeah,
can you mark on the map, like which direction we
should go?

Speaker 2 (41:41):
H He kind of looks down and he goes, yeah,
she went north.

Speaker 3 (41:47):
North, Okay, north.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
I'm sorry, I don't got more than she just kind
of left. I don't know if she thought. I guess
she thought she could just take care of him. She
was out of your own Yeah, I have a question
for you. Yeah, And this is kind of DM ruling.

Speaker 5 (42:00):
So with hunt Prey, I just have to see the
target or hear the target. There has to be no
other components to it. Would seeing something related to her
or seeing like no, you're fine, would like I know,
this is kind of bullshitting, but by words, seeing a
picture of her.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
No, no, no, that's what I thought. Yeah, that Hunt
Prey is like kind of your bread and butter. So yeah. Yeah. Also,
I'm still like off out there somewhere, which is good
because you hear rustling in the woods next to you.
Oh great, I love this. I guess I turned her around. Yeah.
You turn and you look over and you see movement

(42:39):
between some foliage. At first you think oh hey, you
know it's probably the wind. And then you notice the
movement is black fur. A crouching wolf like creature is
slowly making its way towards camp, towards camp. Towards camp. Yep,
not towards me, not towards you.

Speaker 5 (42:59):
I've outstell the fucking wolf. Guys, that's next level ship.
I stay still. If this does the wolf even notice
me as it goes by? No, wow, Okay, either he
doesn't give a shit about me, or I really rolled.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
Good hands up, Mike Witch, thank you, high five. I'm
trying to think what i'll do. You know what I'll do.

Speaker 5 (43:27):
I will I'll whistle, okay, I'll whistle too quick with
song that we all know. No, i'll whistle too quick,
whistles just.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Okay, you whistle and its head turns directly towards you
because it heard the noise. And that is where I'm
gonna have everybody roll initiative. I hope everyone else heard that. Really?
All right, give me your initiatives. Actually, don't tell them

(44:01):
to me yet. I gotta get it set up on foundry.
I got a double did you Yes? I did.

Speaker 5 (44:09):
On the roll or on the plus modifier both boundary.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
Won't damn be our sponsor? Why because they told us
they don't really sponsor people. It's not what they do.
And they only do it to Glass Cannon because it's
a special case.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
It's okay, what if we don't know? What if we
don't seek monetization from them, like money, but like they
just like shout us out that we use them, don't
We don't have always have to have money. Exposures always
good money too.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
They don't shout out they pay glass Cannon, which I mean,
it's cool, you know.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
Glass cans.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Yeah, I'm recording this glass Cannon. Well, glass Cannon was
the penultimate path Phone or two the actual play, so
I totally understand.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
My opinion is myself.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
But if you don't want to pay, albart Rodeo is
free and amazing. Bear is this ship it is, It's
it's really cool.

Speaker 5 (44:57):
Also shouts Nethis, shout out and it this all.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Pathfinder Ruling is free online. All mechanics, even brand new
expansions to get released. All the mechanics are released on
death This completely for free.

Speaker 5 (45:13):
Also shout out Voodo Rangers. I don't like Juice Forces,
but now they me and I do kind of like them.

Speaker 6 (45:19):
That's the that's the golden goal right there, getting sponsored.

Speaker 3 (45:23):
By a Voodoo Ranger.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
Shoot, maybe I should like, if you sponsor.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
Us, oh, I will religiously only drink a Voodoo Ranger.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
You know, I'm a lightweight.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
It's the rest of my life. I will take Voota
Rangers with me to the bar.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
Has been trying to get was it high noons? And uh,
you know, maybe Voodo Rangers Like, come on, man, I'll
put a villain in the you know in the game
that's of the Voodranger, the food Ranger.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
He's a Druid Ranger alchemist.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
Co producer and editor Josh put a note in, let's
start reaching out to Voodoo Ranger and see if they
can sponsor us, because that would be badass.

Speaker 5 (46:04):
You know what if they were like, we need you
guys to do something to promote us. Honestly, I think
you guys put two juice forces in front of me,
and it's how fucked up I.

Speaker 6 (46:11):
Get No, that's terrible tall pack of juice force to
put it in front his an slamm it im a shotgun. Now,
I think I'd be like, have a one shot. We're
like or like a twelve pack of juice. Force is
just a MacGuffin that saves the day.

Speaker 5 (46:28):
You're gonna find me upside down behind the couch. Okay,
give me your guys in eighteen okay, twenty five.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
Okay, Lucas two. Okay, Kyle, you hear the whistle out
in the woods, and I'm gonna say for the basics
of initiative. You know that that's from Lucas saying something's
gonna go down.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
You start first, Oh man, Okay, I can't see the
map yet.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Oh right, I should probably move you guys in here.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
And I'm positive from ghost rolling.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
That's one star. Why are you rolling?

Speaker 5 (47:08):
Because I want to see if the dice is Okay,
it's not.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
It's sad, all right, Kyle, you're up?

Speaker 3 (47:14):
Okay, where's that wolf at? I can't zoom out because
my mouse wheel doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
Yeah, I don't really know why zoom out on your
mouse pad? Man, two fingers, it helps. I'm keeping quiet.

Speaker 3 (47:40):
I am so far away from that wolf.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Well, keeping in in character. You don't see the wolf.
You just heard the whistle. Keep that in mind.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
Okay, So I'm actually since its rolled initiative free action
Activate rate, because what is the barbarian that doesn't rage
and grizz.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
I'll be clear. The NPCs here, they're not fighters. They're lumbers, lumberjacks,
you know that kind of stuff. So they're not gonna
be in.

Speaker 3 (48:16):
The fight fires. Can you stop singing the Jeopardes theme please?

Speaker 2 (48:36):
I can try. What do you have in trouble with you? Please?

Speaker 3 (48:42):
I'm trying to find my rage.

Speaker 5 (48:44):
I'm just living it up, not giving a fuck in
the fast lane because it's okay, sorry you had to
some biscuit in the cut was too much. I feel
like I should be wearing like chunky DC shoes and
how fox howk is?

Speaker 2 (49:01):
What bro do you mean?

Speaker 5 (49:04):
Faux hawk fox hawk whatever it means?

Speaker 3 (49:07):
Crombolehawk level four not three.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
That's because I'm using my phone.

Speaker 3 (49:13):
I know. But Maeric found to be updateds we have
accurate health all right?

Speaker 2 (49:16):
All right, yeah that's a good point. Well lovely are
you guys? By the way?

Speaker 4 (49:19):
Four four?

Speaker 2 (49:20):
Okay, everybody should be four that that me and my
sent were like three ride oh like sub like that
ye the banger meme.

Speaker 3 (49:30):
Okay, so rage is activated and I'm going to move
towards where I saw Lucas walk out. So that is
gonna be I have twenty five feet of movement.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
One first section, stride as he's moving towards Luke.

Speaker 3 (49:51):
Second action, going to ready in action. What are you
ready my trigger? I'm gonna ready a great act swing. Actually,
I can ready any of my actions, huh.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
As long as it's a one action action.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
Oh never mind, I'm going to ready just uh my
great acts attack for if attacks. The were wolf comes
towards me.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Okay, so it gets close enough to swing?

Speaker 3 (50:24):
Well yeah, whatever comes near me to swing.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
Okay, got it, and that's needed. Your turn, all right, Lucas,
you're up. You see the wolf like creature turned its
head towards you and snarl.

Speaker 6 (50:36):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (50:37):
Okay, so first action, put away the long bow. Second action, Wait,
that's actually not an action. Instead, will ready an action
and I'm gonna put my fists up. Yeah, that's like
my only option right now because my long bow does
not work this close.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
Okay, So put the bow away.

Speaker 5 (50:59):
First action, ready action. If this guy comes at me,
if this wolf comes at me, I'm swinging.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
I will say. I'll give this advice just a little bit.
Since we're kind of new, you can use one action
to stride away from the wolf and then shoot him
if you want.

Speaker 5 (51:17):
You know what, that's crazy, play play chestnut Checkers.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
There you go, moron, dude that.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
I'm pretty sick though to see Lucas grapp Yes, you.

Speaker 5 (51:27):
Know what, just because I'm sticking with my original plan. Okay,
so ready at or you know what what am I doing?

Speaker 3 (51:32):
Ready?

Speaker 4 (51:33):
In action?

Speaker 5 (51:34):
Put the bow away, stride up to it, and just
start hitting it.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
Okay? Action one? I can interact with the weapon.

Speaker 6 (51:44):
Yes I can't.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
I run into the bush and I swing. Okay.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
I'd like to notate all Kyle's.

Speaker 2 (51:51):
Natural twenty I want to start this fight off with.
Is a natural twenties? That's a thirty to hit? Give
me damage?

Speaker 4 (51:58):
Was that is that a?

Speaker 1 (52:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (52:00):
It's a crit yeah field double damage? There's no like
big damage?

Speaker 3 (52:06):
Was double is not?

Speaker 2 (52:09):
I'm an idiot.

Speaker 5 (52:10):
I should have hunted prey, but I didn't because then
I would have done my my my precision.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
No oh wait, no it only works with your boat.
Does it work with i'm strikes?

Speaker 2 (52:19):
That's true? Huh? What I'm striked is only Yeah, it's
a D four, but you got a Chris, so give
me D.

Speaker 3 (52:26):
Four and you can the lost roles to damage.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
Four damage total. Okay, what's your strength? My strength?

Speaker 3 (52:35):
Let me find that, right, you got a strength modified
to that, don't you.

Speaker 2 (52:38):
You run up to it and clock it right in
its face? How do you? How do you find your strength?

Speaker 3 (52:44):
Sorry, so double click your character and then your strength
will be there.

Speaker 5 (52:50):
Oh oh I was looking at the wrong spot. My
strength is plus zero. I'm a deck stacker.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
Yeah. So yeah, you suck right in the face and
he just kind of like doesn't even yell. Yeah, that's
gonna say.

Speaker 5 (53:06):
I just imagine just like what crumb you're inside. Let's
retroactively go back.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
A little bit. And you wanted to do a medicine check,
is that right? Yeah, treat wounds on the injured man.
This is before things go down. So I'm gonna give
you the option to treat wounds and then action will
start up. So plus eight, that's a twelve. Wait, hold on,

(53:40):
that's ad that success. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (53:44):
I think it's a fail because I think the base.
I think the base save us like fifteen. Yeah, we
can count it as a fail. I'm a double check though.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
All right, how about we'll do this. You start to
treat wounds, and right as you begin to examine the wound,
the action starts, so you're not able to help, but
we will go and then that's where we are.

Speaker 6 (54:10):
Okay, Right, So I'm going to uh take two interm
three interact actions, one to pull out the h the
alchemists gaunlet, one to pull it out an alchemist fire,
and then the last to load the alchemist fire into
the gauntlet.

Speaker 3 (54:27):
That'll be my turn, Beautiful, you're not just always wearing
the gatlet.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
I thought about it. Well, he already said it.

Speaker 6 (54:36):
But all right, people are already off put by me
being in the town and already knowing that I have bombs,
so it's like me walking around with melee bomb gauntlet.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Hey, in their defense, so far, Wilson hasn't been species.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
That's fair.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Yeah, all right. The creature, the mutated type wolf in
front of you, Lucas. As you get kind of a
closer look to it, it looks like a wolf, but
it has pulsating black veins that come out of its
eyes and out of it's the pink flesh of its mouth.
As it they spiral along its flesh and it bites
you inger. Uh, oh, it's gonna be a twenty seven

(55:17):
that does hit what's the what's the crit No? Okay,
so it does eleven points of piercing damage.

Speaker 5 (55:27):
Okay, so fifty six minus that's forty five six minus eleven. Yeah,
that's forty five all right, And then let's see that's
the first thing that's I've taken all show.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
I hate you. So as it grabs onto your leg,
it bites down, you need to make it forty two
check fortitude? Yep, rodre that captain? Wait, no, hold on,
you attempt to grab.

Speaker 5 (55:54):
So I want to make it known I don't give
a shit what you tell me a roll because I
told a second NAT twenty Someone want to spot check
me on that dead serious? And one want to look, well,
it doesn't matter because I got that wrong. Oh the
creature rolls against your fortitude, so that's my bad. Well
but that congrats something that twenty Yeah, I'll just go
fuck myself. It's been a great one, guys.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
That's fine. You know, it's okay. It's a nice little particular.
So it makes an athletics check against your forte what
is your fortitude? My four plus ten?

Speaker 5 (56:22):
Okay, man, I'm really sad right now, I know that
I don't care what you tell me to roll.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
Well the good things you're not rolling.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
I gotta be like nice trap baba. So you are
now let's see you are grabbed. It's jaws clamp down
on you and you you can tell you're now held
in place. I'm not stuck here with you. You're stuck

(56:50):
here with me.

Speaker 5 (56:53):
It's a mixture of both. Let me have my moment.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
You know, it's uh, it's not going to do anything
for its third because it's holding on to you. That's
the end of its turn.

Speaker 5 (57:05):
I have a question if it This is just not
asking about some abilities, but this is more asking about
like the combat system. If it were to take an action,
does it technically have to let me go because it's
only weapending on the mouth. Like let's say, let's say
it wanted to run off.

Speaker 2 (57:21):
It can't just take me with it? Can Yes, it can?
It can? Yeah jesus yeah. Like if I recall, it
has a reduced movement, but they can pull you with it,
so it doesn't matter prone then or with you you're grabbed,
which means you like you have difficulty moving and various
actions are kind of restrained, but it's not there's one

(57:42):
level above grabbed. I think it's restrained or something like that,
to where you literally can't move. Yeah, you're not at
that point yet. It's just clapped down on your leg
so you can't run away, but you can still attack.
You can still stab. You drag it with me. I
think you can try. I'd have to check, but it
doesn't matter because it's but runs up to you, comes
out of the woods. Another one runs up and goes

(58:04):
and goes to try and bite you. So now you
are grabbed, which to make sure it might leave, my
phone's with me because I might need that second character.
That's why I was shocked. But you are off guard.
Oh great, so if you attempt, so if you attempt
and manipulate action while grabbed, you must succeed a DC
five flat check. So like if you, you know, try

(58:27):
and like pull it off you something like that DC five.
But anyways, okay, so this other one goes to bite
at you, and what's your AC twenty or eighteen? Right now?

Speaker 6 (58:36):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Why am I see go down? Because because you're because
you're grabbed. Oh okay eighteen? Yeah, foundary automatically does.

Speaker 3 (58:42):
That all right?

Speaker 2 (58:43):
Uh, that doesn't matter it's eighteen miss so goes a
snap at you, and you're so busy flailing with this
first one. It misses its first, so it's third action,
second attack. It's going to bite you, attempt to bite you,
and that's gonna be a It's going to be hit
with the twenty five, doing only six damage. So it

(59:06):
snaps at you, piercing your skin a little bit, but
that's the end of its turn.

Speaker 5 (59:12):
Good news, I'm still alive. Bad news, we're about halfway down.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
Yeah, I could see your health far. Not thrilled.

Speaker 2 (59:25):
I'm only a quarter of the way. We're golden. I'm fine. Sorry,
I was doing the math in my head. If you
can't tell us how much frocks.

Speaker 6 (59:33):
You.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
Hear rustling in the woods, come from behind or beside you,
and you see another one of these wolf like creatures
running towards you. But it is your turn, ready action
huh oh, Yeah, that's just that's that's.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
A free action. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (59:47):
Give me an attack, mean attack, roll roll murder.

Speaker 3 (59:52):
That is going to be a seventeen.

Speaker 2 (59:56):
Barely met it beats it meets, it beats it, all right,
give me damage, alright, where.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
Is my deadly D twelve at he's the great one.
Great One's always done good for me.

Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Wait why is it deadly?

Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Mm hmm No, I'm just saying no, just my d
tens are always good.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Because deadly's a modifier. So I thought that's what you're saying.

Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
All right, twenty damage. Wait, let me hold on, let
me crack that real quick before hold on, let me
get the calcul it's twenty damage.

Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
Okay, your axe comes down onto it and cleaves deep
into its flesh as it yelps out in pain. It's
not dead, but you heard it quite badly. Now that
was a readied action. Yep, since that triggered on its
movement and we started initiative all over.

Speaker 4 (01:00:42):
I get action.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Yes, your full three actions.

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
So I see this thing run up for me like
a like a special Uh, little little little Wolfie.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Doesn't have two more actions.

Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
No, that was in its turned to strike towards me.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
It was all three actions to strike. It was really
far away.

Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
Yeah, so I'm one wolf It's dumb, you know, it's
well know twenty that is going to be a twenty four?

Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Give me damage?

Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
Is that a crit No? That is nine to nineteen?

Speaker 5 (01:01:12):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
How does it die?

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
So I'd like to imagine. I see it run up
on me, and I take a swing over overhead down
onto the center of its skull, and I see its
head just start to like kind of split like concave
in the middle. So I double up on that and
swing down and finish the job by splitting its skull
in half.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Okay, it is now dead and that was your first action,
my first action. Okay, you got two more. Now I
can see that other wolf pinned down.

Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
I'm going to sudden charge, which I was going to
stride twice and attack, and that is fifty feet or
forty five feet, so that's yeah, barely you know, I
measured it. Don't worry. So I stride twice.

Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
My ass has been saved.

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
There's actually only forty feet away, not forty five total,
was forty Like if I go on him and I'm
going to attack again with a plus six, All right,
give me damage or not damage?

Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
Give me your roll.

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
That is a twenty give me damage.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Is this the one that's pinning me or not? No?

Speaker 3 (01:02:15):
No, that is fourteen damage.

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Okay, is he technically flanked?

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
Yep? He is?

Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
Uh he is? Yes? Actually, good good point. Thanks for
pointing that out. It's still hit anyways, but I'm gonna
mark him as off guard.

Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
Well technically because if it's flanked, you might be able
to create. Because what'd you roll?

Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
I rolled a?

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
Oh yeah, good point. It was nineteen nineteen. Wait no, no, no, no,
you rolled higher than that. It was because the AC
seven was.

Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Plus six and I rolled fourteen, So twenty YEA was twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
No, it's still not great, but I'm glad you pointed
that out because that is to keep it tracking math
and everything out of my head as I go. Absolutely,
I like to keep it up your math. All right,
So what was the damage? It was fourteen? Okay, yeah,
all right, we got that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
That was that was all my actions.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
Alrighty, lucas you are up, you are grabbed still, but
you know Kyle has come over and put a nice
good chunk of damage into this thing. What do you do?

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
So I first action I hunt prey the.

Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Way I would like to know. Since you are grabbed,
you can roll at flat DC five to escape the grapple.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Well, you can do a flat DC five to manipulate.
I want to double check to make sure.

Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
So grabbed it so you're off guard and im mobilize if.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
You attempt to manipulate action while grabbed, you may succeed
or it's a loss. We'll check after spending an action,
but before the effects are applied. Let me let's look
up all right, audience, because I've actually gotten some do
this live. I was gonna say, I got some feedback
and how some people love how we actually go over
all the rules because it's helping them learn Pathfinder, which

(01:03:51):
was one of our goals. So let me see my
nip you late, and.

Speaker 5 (01:03:59):
While you do that, I want to counteract what you
said earlier about precision being only for bow attacks.

Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
It says nowhere in the description.

Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
You can use hunt prey then, just like you know.

Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
Manipulate, which is predicated by grabbed, So manipulate is not escaping.
That's if you're trying to manipulate an item or make
gestures to use an action, So manipulate is not what
you would use to escape. That is like basically like
if you're grabbed and you're trying to pull a lever,
you have to make a really small check to make

(01:04:35):
sure you can do it. I know I said earlier
like if you try to push them off, I was
wrong on that, so I'm glad we cleared that up
right now.

Speaker 5 (01:04:43):
Also, I don't know if you heard that mic, but
earlier we were talking about how precision is only for
range attacks. It is not say range attacks. It only
says your first attack in your turn applies the D eight,
including my fists. It only says you're targeting vitals and
and like things of importance. On four, Hunt prey for precision,
for precision, because I'm the precision subclass, which allows me

(01:05:06):
out of D eight to my first attack.

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
So I should have done it last turn, but you can't.
Now I can now.

Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
Yeah, that's my first action, Hunt prey, okay, okay, and
then I just take two strikes. Now these are my
Hunt Prey. So nineteen plus ten that hits. Uh that's
a crazy wow. Yeah yeah, give me four roll your
damage and double.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
It four that wow, I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:05:32):
Okay, that's it. So three on the die, so three
on the dice. That's six. So six plus D eight five,
So that's eleven damage for your first strike.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
Eleven. But I thought you doubled the D eight.

Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
No, no, you don't double dight.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
No, you don't double just the first die. So you
you punch them and it seemed like you can hear
a cracker ribe.

Speaker 3 (01:05:56):
That's a nasty that was a really good dog getting
beat sound.

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
I'm rolling like a madman right now.

Speaker 5 (01:06:02):
That's an eighteen plus plus six.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
That's twenty not qriit, but it hits give me damage
twenty four.

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
I'm so glad.

Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
I'm going ups.

Speaker 5 (01:06:13):
That's a one, an easily one damage late. You tickle
its ear and it doesn't like it all right, I
just imagine it has me a bit at this point.
I just like grab it by like the nape and
I'm just like fam.

Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Or fisting it right now. I'm like, I'm not leaving this.
Let go all right, cram me you're up.

Speaker 4 (01:06:31):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:06:31):
Did I see Kyle like run by from the from
the window. I would say so, yeah, okay, because that would.

Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
Help me out immensely.

Speaker 6 (01:06:41):
Okay, So I'm going to do a stride. Just double
check my movement twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
Alright.

Speaker 6 (01:06:49):
So it's gonna be five ten fifteen twenty twenty five,
and I'm gonna do another one five ten fifteen twenty
twenty five. Then I'm going to quick bomber. I'm gonna
pull out an alchemist fired. I'm gonna launch it at

(01:07:10):
this one here.

Speaker 5 (01:07:13):
Yes, for context viewer, we are like all up inside
of a tree right now according to the map. Or
is that a really just like a early big bush. No,
it's a tree, but you mean you guys are under
the under the leaves.

Speaker 2 (01:07:27):
Okay, so plus nine that is a dirty twenty hey
hit that hits. That is not a crit but that
hits give me damage.

Speaker 6 (01:07:42):
So last session I was severely nerving myself because I
didn't realize that my bombs upgraded.

Speaker 4 (01:07:48):
I was doing one D eight when I should have
been doing two.

Speaker 3 (01:07:51):
Ooo.

Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
That's a fun realization, ocky dook.

Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
So that is going to be nine fire damn.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Nine fire beauty beauty. Okay. So it's good. Bursts onto
the fur of the creature and it begins to burn.
You get the nasty smell of burnt hair and the
additional stench of the black icher that you know is
bleeding out of its mouth, also sizzling in the flames.

(01:08:26):
Is that all three? Yes, it was two strides and
a bomb. Okay. Now, Lucas the one that had you grabbed,
let's go and goes to bite with a nineteen heads. Okay,
that's going to be a twelve damage piercing damage. It's

(01:08:48):
not going to try and grab you. It's gonna bite again.
For wait, hold on before you do that.

Speaker 5 (01:08:57):
If he lets go, my AC goes back up to
twenty correct.

Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
Yeah, okay, so you can write, click a character, click
conditions and unclicked grabbed or on the top right you
can see grab and you can right click the little
symbol there you go. Hell yeah, okay. So the first
one was when I say twelve damage. Second misses. It's
gonna go for a third one because it's just an animal.

(01:09:22):
It's gonna miss. Hey, we're alive. Um, the one you cut.
Kyle turns and goes to chomp on you, and it
is you know, big gash in its side completely misses.
Who goes to bite again, and that misses as well.

(01:09:45):
You know, let's see what's its passive. Let me see. Nope,
that doesn't count. It's gonna attack again. It's gonna miss.
All right. He goes to chomp at you and you're
just too fast. All right, Kyle, you're up.

Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
This thing's dead. Go ahead and swing my great axe.

Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
Sorry, listeners, just smacked the ship on my mic.

Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
That is gonna be a twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
Oh oh yeah, good God give me damage.

Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
Good for that's a great song. Forty damage.

Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
Please explain how you decimate this thing much damage? Because
you did, you did over double of what it had left.
So please.

Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
So I take the axe and I see it's trying
to buy it. Can't see straight. It's one eyes looking
to the left, the other one's looking straight down at
the ground. Steve, I take the axe and.

Speaker 1 (01:10:55):
Go on.

Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
Sorry, they made a reference that we all understood, and
it was kind of funny.

Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
The listeners do too.

Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
Yeah, just you don't never mind, be nice. God, how
do I want to do this? You know what? I'm
gonna take the flat end of my axe and I'm
going so I turn, not not slice, and turn it
so it's like flat, yeah, and I'm going to swing ittrike, Yeah,
smack it down on this wolf's head and from the

(01:11:23):
sheer force and impact with my barbarians rage just the
now incredibly potent, but the potency room I have on the.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
The axe.

Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
It's just I have this immense power behind me for
some ungodly reason, and the wolf explodes.

Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
You smash it down, and it's just because you're carrying
a giant's axe. Yeah, it's literally like right, it's like
my size of a round shield, but it's an axe
and you bring that all that metal down right on
top of it, and it's like a pancake. Blood splatters
across the grass.

Speaker 5 (01:11:58):
Imagine like the ship post on effect to like the
pan hitting someone's head a dunk.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
All right? Was this your first action?

Speaker 4 (01:12:04):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
All right?

Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
Second second action because only because you know there's really
not what using sudden.

Speaker 2 (01:12:10):
Charge, stride and smack. I want to fist fight this one.

Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
Okay, good, look, I'm gonna move right there, stride once
to get it there?

Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
You go.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
No, it's off guard. I like it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
I'm taking it as a threat if I If I don't,
if I don't attack, I lose my my rage. Sorry,
second attack not twenty?

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
What was a fist fight? Alright? Alright?

Speaker 4 (01:12:34):
What good?

Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
Give me damage, but you're probably gonna kill it. Yeah,
you're in forty damage again.

Speaker 3 (01:12:43):
I'm a god.

Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
How do you kill this one?

Speaker 8 (01:12:48):
My helt?

Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
Oh, I'm not gonna smash this one because I want
to cape. I run up and I'm dragging the acts
behind me, and I run up behind it and as
I turn to slash, I slice it right in half
the top part with the sheer force. But yes, the
leg it's just like maybe like the stomach and the
legs are left on the ground and the top part
does flying up in the air.

Speaker 4 (01:13:12):
That fucker into the.

Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
And I look at the legs and I kick them
over and then the top part goes back down.

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
Oh man, all right, it dies instantly.

Speaker 6 (01:13:24):
Geez, thanks for doing that, because I just realized that
I missed out on additional damage on my one attack
that I landed damage, oh you know, like my splash
and the persistent burn, you know, and then by by
plus one from from you know, being a fire goblin.

Speaker 3 (01:13:44):

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):

Speaker 5 (01:14:23):

because it's been now on multiple times.

Speaker 4 (01:14:34):

Speaker 3 (01:14:38):

Speaker 2 (01:14:42):

out of fifty six. It was a pretty good bite,
so it bucked me up. They don't have like lasting effects,

or anything like that. That's an impairmid movement. No, no, okay, cool,
I hild you from max, which would be sixteen.

Speaker 4 (01:15:02):

Speaker 3 (01:18:43):
Any supplies at all that we might be able to borrow,

anything like that.

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):

Speaker 5 (01:18:53):

Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
Okay you are a fire starter. But what if we
don't have you? I can't rely on you all the time.
I don't want to use you to make sure that

Like surviving long anywacine runs off crying.

Speaker 3 (01:19:08):

it because welcome to the club, buddy might pick him

(01:21:04):
up off the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
I don't like this club. I'm hiding in the bushes.
What are you doing?

Speaker 6 (01:21:12):
So Crome will take the leaves that he got from
the tree from from Willsden after leaving the temple, and
he's gonna draw a circle on the ground with a finger,
and he's gonna place two of the leaves onto the ground,
and he's gonna sit and he's gonna hold the leaf.

Speaker 5 (01:23:36):
Chin still on chest and pure amazement and confusion. Wait,
so do you mean to tell me that we've ptendally
discovered a way for us to communicate silently with one
another without other people knowing how to trace us down?

Speaker 3 (01:23:52):
How does one acquire a leaf number? Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:23:54):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:23:55):
Do you like apply for somewhere that a lot to
talk to a bunch of crusts. It's a long process,
That's that's I thought at once. I'm not done. Only
I don't want to go through that process.

Speaker 5 (01:24:05):
Aga in all seriousness, like, I'm going to hold this together.

Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
Man, I can't keep doing this. It's always something. Now
