Speaker 1 (00:00):
So I bet you've wondered why I gathered you all
here today that.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I honestly have no idea. I think I have to Benia.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
I am going to fragranta this conversation. We're going to
clear the room with fragmentation. I wait, you guys were
recording that whole time. Yeah, we're trying to get a
cold open with a cold open.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
So cold open is where like the talking you know
how he normally starts the episode with welcome back to
Mythical episode six, and then it starts the intro music. Well,
a cold open would be like we're all conversating kind
of talking and just like making sure like just we're
all having a conversation talking, and then all was in
the music cuts and then I'll start doing the music
and then welcome to miss blah blah blah. That's a

(00:39):
cold open.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I mean, I'll feel natural. You guys just need to
warm me. Hey, wash your mouth for this first part
of the recording, or or hey, we're recording this.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
You know, here's the Hey, stop saying outland of shit.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
That's pretty good advice. Welcome to Medical Misfits. I'm your
dungeon master. Dungeon Master Mike, give us a wrap up
of the last episode.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
I've got this.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
So we got to the to the to.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
The Thistle Branch lumber Camp. Camp was trying my heart.
It's not the same Ben at the cumber Badge, but
this branch, that's a fantastic name.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
I might use that. I was gonna saying I might
use it for like an.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
L or some this thistle Branch brand.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
Zach Brannigan.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Mean.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
So we got to the We got to the lumber
camp and we talked to a dude whose name I
can't remember, and then I left that gentleman to give
all the information to Kyle so that I could go
do doctor Grizay.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I failed the role on the doctor stuff. And then
we got into a fight.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
With two wolves.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I remember was it three, because.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
While he was fist fighting the other Yes, yes it
was three wolves, Zan leveled up as a man and
bare knuckle boxed one of them. It's the dumbest decision
I've ever I've ever seen anyone making a tabletop RBG.
But I've all for it. Real men are a little dumb.
And after fighting said.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Wolves, I Crome talked to his cousin.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Had to break the news.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
About what happened to the old.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Brangoldorf, poor Ja.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
And then uh forget for dr Oh yeah, crom called
his aunt because he felt bad and he needed a
reassuring voice. And then Chrome educated them on the leaf
phone plants. And then we proceeded to make our way
towards a two ruins.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Right, yeah, to ruins. Because you were looking for the
camp's hunter. She was saying around campus she thought she
saw someone in the woods that she knew, and then
when this sickness started growing in the woods, she said,
I'm gonna go check it out because I've heard rumors
of ruins in the area and everything seems to be
coming from that air you know that direction, So I'm

(02:56):
gonna go there. She disappeared. The camp was under attack
from wolves. You got rolled up and say it, and
now you're going to look for the hunter.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Zane's mind that I have a unibrow. I told him, no,
it's not true. And even though he said kidding, I
had to clarify that I do shave my uni brow.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Hold on, I'm gonna I'm gonna shift away from the
mic so I can look at you. If you could
do the same, so I can see you clearly don
does not have a unit brow. Yeah, because I shave it. Yeah, well,
proud of you, wax. I'm I'm happy that you're that
you're grooming. I cry once a week just from the
waxing cry more than once a week. I'm glad those

(03:31):
two are correlated. I was gonna be really concerned.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
We fade in to the crunching of leaves as the
weather begins to get colder. The air begins to bite
your skin as you walk through the woods a little
bit more than it did the day before. You've been
walking for a couple of hours. Tell me, did you
guys spend the night at the lumber camp or did

(03:55):
you just head straight out? I if I recall you
guys spent the night head out.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
In the morning. Yeah, okay, so who long rest.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
I think it's like your level times you're con something
like that. Yeah, actually, yeah, I'm pretty sure it is.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
It's our faded weakness math equations.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Oh yeah, you know.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
One of our best reels and TikTok videos is us
being bad at math. And I'm like, I'm one, I'm
embarrassed and proud of that because we get a lot
of exposure from that. But also like damn would dumb?
But that's okay.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
But you know why did so weltz because it's relatable.
It's not just us as suck dick at math. It's everybody.
We all suck when it comes on the spot math.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Hey, listener, I'm talking to you with the person who
thinks that you're good at math. I know you just
said in your head, I'm not. Yeah, you are all right.
We'll move forward.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
About that calculator, baby boy, don't kidding that.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Texas teen im that you used in sixth grade? Yeah,
you still use it, don't you.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
You did timestables, didn't you. I am uncomfortable, as am
I anyway, the.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
One that's uncomfortable, we're literally whispering in his ear.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
The less what oh no, please go ahead and speak
to you yours uh so in words of hunt prey.
I have to rehunt after a long rest. Can I
just announce that right now? I'm still hunting the hunter. No,
you never hunted the hunter.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
You asked if you could hunt the hunter, and I
said no, because you can't hunt off the tracks or
can you hunt?

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:13):
That's your whole that's what earlier. I can't get off
picture of a description. Yeah, I can't hunt off. But
then you guys found her tracks.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Okay, yeah, I remember now, but.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
That hasn't happened yet, technically correct, what I haven't found her.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Tracks the episode.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
I believe you did like this on this session. This session, Yes,
I would assume that you are continuing to follow her tracks.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Okay, so I'll just give that to you.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
You know, you guys like wake up in the morning
and you spend some time and be like, Okay, I
think she went this way. You know, I see some
broken branches, I see some uh, ferns pushed aside, et cetera,
et cetera.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Got it.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
You guys are walking as the leaves fall, as the
weather of Amath begins to get colder, heading into the
cooler season of winter. You walk for a while, and
then you see it. In between the trees, outlined by
rays of sunlight, what appears to be a stone structure,

(06:04):
an ancient temple, crumbling stone overtaken by vines and roots.
Moss grows freely across the surface of everything, and the
smell of wet earth fills your nostrils. With each breath.
There is a quiet stillness in the air. A vague
sense of something important and ancient emanates off of the
temple grounds. Trees, vines, and crumbling walls are thick, and

(06:28):
they make a passage almost impossible. But amid the dense
foliage entangled vegetation, a single archway remains partially clear, offering
only a narrow passageway into the temple. If there's anything
you guys would like to do to prepare before you
go in, go ahead and let me know now. Otherwise,
I assume you go into.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
The temple stuffing two bottles in each of their bags, right,
two bottles or what one?

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Alixir of life for you a Juggernaut Juggernaut mutagen a
moderate one, and for you a Quicksilver mutagen also moderate.
You also get an a.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Lex life as well.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
I would advise you. Uh, Kirby, you want to tell
them about the quicksilver, so you know how you do
the deck stuff. This is gonna help you make the
deck stuff better? Okay, Hell yeah, it's you have to
take damage. Right when you drink it, it hurts you. It's
kind of like, uh.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
When you drink it, it's like in the Witch you're
going to Yeah, yeah, damn.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
I love the Alchemist.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
When you drink it, you're going to uh take half
your no sorry, double your level in damage. So we're
like level four now, right.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
So level eight you said it's a modern Yes, you're
gonna take eight damage, but you're gonna get a plus
two circum no item bonus to uh to like deck
stuff like your stealth.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Your reflex. Yeah. Wow, that's really strong. Yep.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Yeah, that's that's what I wanted you to know because like,
if things get hairy, you should take that because that's
actually really good for your your.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Kid's Okay, So what's to manipulate and it's just oh,
it's just an activate okay, cool, Yeah, last ten minutes
really quickly before we go in. Can I just roll
survival to see if I know what kind of moss
this is or if it seems like it would cause
any sort of discomfort or injury? Yeah, if it were
to come in contact with us. Yeah, yeah, go ahead. Wow,
that's the first bat role I've hit in a while.
That's a five plus my modifier, which I don't know

(08:22):
what it is. As far as you can tell, it
looks like typical moss. Okay, then I'm just gonna take
a dagger and start shaving away at it.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Okay, So can I ready an action out of combat?
It depends what is it if we enter combat. I
drink the Juggernaut Meedi in.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
No.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
Ready in action usually is only in combat, especially because
that's going to give you a market advantage in combat.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Well yeah, no, well yeah, no advantage. I mean negative
too to my.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
If you were like, I want to ready in action
if I see a creature, I want to do a survival,
you know, like a recall knowledge like I would let that,
you know, but do a whole ass just kidding. Oh well,
you guys push your way in crum. You do fine, Lucas,
you gotta squeeze a little bit as the ferns and
the vines and the moss press up against us.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
You squeeze through.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Kyle, here we go. Yeah, you you have a bit
more of a trouble. Wide shoulders, thick padded armor.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I need to roll reflex.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
No, I don't need to your roll reflex. Do you
want to roll? Fine? Real roller reflex. I know he's
got a good plus nine.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Can you get slapped in the face by a wet fern?
Now you push your way through the small passageway.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
It opens.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
I'm sensing some DM bias to the sarcasm.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Uh, take it up with the council.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
You guys, push your way through, and the small archway
leads and opens up into a courtyard of sorts. However,
the courtyard is almost completely engulfed on the top by
trees that have been growing here for the for hundreds
of years. They're open enough for light to seep through,
but strangely enough, the ground is covered in the thick

(10:04):
layer of fog. Across the courtyard you see another archway
that leads to the next part of the temple. You're
not really sure where, but you can't see that it's open.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
What do you guys do?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
I'm gonna walk through it.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
I'm gonnak laugh from look right and left again and
begin walk in. Okay, I'm gonna let them lead the way. Okay,
well initiative. Damn, it's still it to say I would
want to stealth then huh yep, that's okay. I gotta
be more mindful of that, all right, guys, Today is
the day? Are all bad?

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Twenty five?

Speaker 3 (10:35):
That's a thirteen?

Speaker 5 (10:36):
I got an eight?

Speaker 3 (10:37):
A ouch, Kyle.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
As you walk into the room, the fog and the
mist that rests on the ground, the foot or two
off the floor. You see waves beginning in the midst
but you are first.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
What do you do well?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
First reaction, rolling, perception or initiative with temperate Okay, I'm raging,
So I'm going to first action, you know what, I'm
gonna ready an.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Action okay, and it takes two actions. Yes, it takes
two actions. The bonus action.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Rage right, well, free actions rage okay, free action rage,
now two action bone.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Use my first two actions, ready in action, and that
is something approaches me, I swing before it has an
opportunity to touch me.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Okay, And next I'm going to So just to be pedantic,
you have to ready in action as your last thing
you do. If I don't say that, there's going to
be a moment later in the campaign, you know, like
a dozen or so episodes later, well where that will
make a difference.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
So do your action first. Then ready move there, okay.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
And ready in action, which is the trigger is to
something approaches me. I'm going to swing it.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
So if I move there, use your first action to
stride deeper into the courtyard, covered and missed, and your
next two are going to be ready in action. If
something approaches you, you swing at it. The missed billows
around you and you don't know if it's just from
the errors from you moving, or if it's something else altogether.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Lily, No, it's just the lactose intolerance gas. Just blow
in the winter row.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Kyle's not lactose intolerant, but cromise.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
Well, let's all about buzziness.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Hey man, we have to inform the people. Oh all right,
what's your ac there, Kyle nineteen?

Speaker 4 (12:23):
All right, you feel something grip you and strike you,
and you feel this otherworldly style feeling as.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Don't I get to attack first since it approached me?

Speaker 3 (12:38):
No, you do not, because it rolled a critical stealth check.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
But ready in action. It's approaching me, it's made contact
with me.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
I would argue that there was no way for you
to tell that it approached you.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Wait, but did you roll perception because it's a private role, right,
so it would roll stealth and you would roll his perception. No,
I don't roll his perception. It does.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
It's stealth versus his perception. Oh, gotcha got his perception
number plus a ten. But it crip so oh so
it really doesn't matter. Yeah, rolled in that twenty that's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
So you feel this thing come up and hit you
for thirteen void damage, But.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Then shouldn't he attacked after the facts? Yes? Yeah, I
don't want to make sure it was like, do I
still get my redaction.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
That's resolve this first attack? Yeah, that's what creature will
do its last times.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Why I thought my ready action just void or no?
That's I was arguing.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
You feel something happened to you despite the fact that
there's not a lot of sunlight coming into you. There
is some rays of sun shine through. One ray of
light is hitting your back, casting a shadow in front
of you.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Under the mist.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
It dances around as the particulates of water dance around
in the air. But you notice that your shadow begins
to deform and get pulled toward the creature that attacked you.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
You are now enfeebled. One, that's a really cool creature.
Do I make a fort chuck first or no? All right,
now attack. I'll just say that's a wicked creature. That's nasty.
So with my reaction is to attack.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Not one.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Ah, dude.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
You swing your acts down into the mist and it
slices through the figure that you thought was there, but
the myst just swirls away. You guys see Kyle swinging
at the mist beneath him.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
What you see in there, Bud Kyle?

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Are you there?

Speaker 3 (14:32):
Hello? I think Kyle's fucking dead, don't you fucking You're
knock on a little right now?

Speaker 5 (14:43):
What the other bottle of the bottle?

Speaker 3 (14:46):
What's your perception, Lucas? Uh plus ten?

Speaker 4 (14:49):
You see the mist swirl up around you as well, Lucas,
you feel something grip at the shadow that lies in
front of you. Whole you take twenty two points of
void damage.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Good God. So I want to make it known that
if that hits to me, like one more time, I'm dead.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
You feel your like soul will almost be sucked out
of you. Is your shadow is pulled from you and
you are now enfeebled one?

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Okay, Wow, this thing is horrifying, Lucas, you're of things.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
You see a shadowy creature coalesce right in front of
you as its hands grip your shadow and it's trying
to consume it. Uh fun fact or not so fun?
Enfeebled reduces by one per hour.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
I shall have aided. I'd take three strides the no no, no, no,
I don't. I don't know what I would do in
this moment. I think, because do I lose movement speed correct?

Speaker 2 (15:48):
No? No, only strength based. So you lose, you gain
a negative penalty equal to the enfeeble value to strength
based roles in DC's including strength based melee attack roles,
strength based damage rolls, an athletic checks.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Oh okay, so here's what I'm gonna do. So I'm
gonna run past it before I can grab me again,
and then uh get myself tucked in that little corner
I I moved. There is there any light shining in
that area in general?

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Yeah, this is like daylight. You can see the whole area.
If you're asking for stealth.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Wise, No, no, i'm asking, I'm asking where's my shadow?

Speaker 4 (16:23):
There's not a specific direction. It's just kind of all
around you. Like you're not gonna be able to protect
your shadow from these things. M there's no direct, mechanical
like way to do that in the game. I was
gonna say, I don't come and grab the shadow at
your feet like there's.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
I was gonna ask if I could put my back
up against the wall, but that really wouldn't help anything. Yeah. Yeah,
I'm just gonna tack this one that's in front of Crome, Okay,
and then I'm gonna do my my hunter's aim because
that is two actions, and I unfortunately can't hunt prey
because I would lose the hunter. So I'm kind of
at a bit of a nerve right now. Wow, rolling
beloney today, gentlemen, that's a thirteen. That's a miss. Crown

(17:01):
your up.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
I'm going to make a dread ampuole and I'm gonna
chuck it at him.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Okay, which one the one right in front of you?

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (17:08):
All right?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
So I have a plus nine hits. Guys are not
gonna believe this? What twenty four?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
No?

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Nice?

Speaker 4 (17:15):
It hits give me damage and effects guys.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Yeah, thanks for reminding me.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
So will Ford dread ampule that sounds like really cool.
I know you've done it before, but I don't remember
the exact effects.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Well, he didn't hit last time, so.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Last night he was dule, you don't have the splash,
shut up, I say, ice. I also get a plus
one item bonus on amusing the bob. So it's twenty
five uh not crit but still hits. Damn it. It's
it's close to kred though he heard in his voice.
It's eleven damage okay, plus two h eleven mental damage
plus two mental splash damage and then on hit the

(17:49):
target becomes frightened.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
One. Oh, I like it.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
CROM's gonna freak out. So on my second action, I'm
going to stride. Can I see the one that's attacking Kyle? Yes,
when it attacked, it dropped. It's still okay. And then
for my last action, I'm going to quick bomber again.
I'm going to do a bottled lightning.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Well, describe the first one. You throw the dread ampule
and it flies through the creature's form, landing on the
ancient tiles beneath, splashing, and as it sprays up from
the splash, that seems to hit the black smoke that
this creature is made out of, and it sizzles and
you can hear a ghostly wail, it goes.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
Neat twelve.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
That is a miss, Kyle, you're up. Wait, that's it right?
That was all three splash Okay, what's the splash splashes?

Speaker 2 (18:38):
It's gonna be like two damage.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Hey, damage is damning.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
You miss, but it still seems to hit the seemingly
you know, immaterial creature.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
All right, Kyle, you are all right.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I'm I swinging the thing in front of me with
my great axe. Okay, that is a twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
That's a hit.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Give me damage that crick eighteen damage.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Ooh, very nicem.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Can you get my dice? I'm funny like soccer for
twenty three d twenty.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
So I just imagine hearing that on Mike and Croms
on the other side of the room.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Fancy dice is now stuffed.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Gives a character like baking holes.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
I don't want character. I want pretty dice.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Anyways, your axe wings down for the first attack, and
despite the fact that it seems to be made of
dark miss itself.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
You feel it impact.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
That's disturbing. I'm a swinging that is going to be
twenty that hits. Give you damage that is going to
be sixteen damage.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Sixteen damage. Very nice.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
You do it again, and as your axe swings through
it almost feels too light.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
This time.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
You think you might have missed. But what you do
instead is carve off a good chunk of the shadow.
That part does not rejoin the part that's still on
the ground. In said, it floats up and dissipates into
the air. The shadow that's left is pultry and puny
compared to what.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Was all right, And then third action, I'm gonna attack again,
not twenty.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
You don't miss murder, you don't miss.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
You don't even have to roll damage. You can if
you want to.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Because I want to see it. Okay, that is eleven
forty damage.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Lord, bless the sun, all all the sudden over.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Girl, to swing your acts down with great, great effort.
As it strikes the tile beneath and it cracks, sending
shards of tile and dirt into the air, and the
dark shadow.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Dissipates into nothing.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
The fog that did surround it also spreads out to
show the ancient floor beneath it's dead.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Keep doing that.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
He's gonna throw a storm on a monsters at I
don't care. I I took way too much damage from
that first attack, and he made me enfeebled, which is
not gonna go way until I take a long rest.
So I'm nerved for this entire entire episode.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
It goes away in one hour. You guys can take
a short rest like hanging out a while.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
No, we have to find this hunter, lady. I don't
believe in resting.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Well, what the fuck. You see the other shadow turn
into an a morphous blob as it darts straight fort
MorphOS blob. It's disgusted and it strikes be morphous. It
strikes and I don't know, I keep asking about your
AC nineteen. So it does not crit, but it does
hit you, doing fourteen points avoid damage for its second

(21:30):
action first attack, third action, second attack.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
It strikes again.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
It did not Criit isn't it that twenty It's the
only way it's a crity.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
Okay, Oh, you are a lucky son of a bitch.
So even with the CRID it's only sixteen.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Points boyd damage, it's still a lot of damage.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Yea, what the non crit was fourteen?

Speaker 2 (21:50):
I mean my crit was forty damage?

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Yeah, so it must Yeah, it rolled really low. So
you it attacks again and it forgot to do steel shadow,
so you know that was its third action.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
You're good. You're not going to increase your my uh
what was the damage? Fourteen?

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Fourteen for the first one, sixteen for the second one, Lucas,
you're up, well, same thing I did before. I'm a
stride further down.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Same same but different.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Same but different? Bye bah, same but different one dude.
Three four five, we're all the damage. God dammakn'll kidding
dirty twenty, Bubby, dirty twenty. Okay, I'm also using one
hundred name so covers negated good thing. You said that.

(22:39):
Yeah that's partial cover. No it doesn't doesn't meat. Yeah, dude,
you're huge. All right, give me damage. I believeing on
D eight and then I believe I'm in danger battle.
You haven't gotten touched yet. Nine damage, nine damage. Great.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
Okay, your arrow flies through, spreading the fog in a
way towards it, and it strikes the creature and actually
stops in mid air inside of the dark shadow for
a second before the arrow falls falls.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
To the ground. Okay, so never mind that. My apologies.
That arrow doesn't do damage, but I will instead shoot
at this turn. So it did do damage. No special arrow.
Antler arrows don't do damage.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Is that an antler arrow?

Speaker 3 (23:26):
That? So I didn't select antler arrow? But in my mind,
I was like, what if he were strain this thing,
that'd be so cool. But I realized that we already
role play that so time. Yeah you didn't say so
that was a normal on me, but it did hit it. Yeah,
so I'll just I'll just fire another regular arrow.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Again, and I will say, as his arrow falls out
of the shadow creature, a good chunk of the shadow
falls out with it.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
That's such a weird creature.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
He'd be Genie's ass creature.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
These things are fun, YEA, So are using anler normal
regular announce using arrow that hits.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Give me, give me damage? Two cramp.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
This arrow does similar to the last one, but there's
a small ball of shadow still floating there, barely holding.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Is it just the head with the eyes? Yes, that's cool,
crom background fire. Do it confirm your kill, buddy, alchemists?

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Fire missed?

Speaker 2 (24:29):
I know, actually no, because I'm a fire goblin. Three
flaming splash damage cool.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
You needed one, so you throw and it misses. Due
to the unknowing nature of how these shadows move inside
the mist covered chamber, it flies over it and lands
on the other side and splashes. Its flames puff out
and are quickly extinguished by the wet mist that hangs
in the air. Just enough touches the dark shadow and

(24:59):
you hear it sizzle away. We are now out of combat.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Thank god. Those are horrible monsters. Good monsters, but really
really strong. Not not unbelieve you know, like we handled it,
but if you had a couple more of those, we
would be dead. I I'm hurt. I feel like I'm
missing a part of myself.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Look my left picep it shrunk.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
I'm a help.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
I'm gonna the little battle metals.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
We're not in battle. You don't need to do battle messine.
You just need to do medicine. Battle medicine sounds cooler
than treat wounds.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Yeah, battle medicine.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
You can hurt me.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
I will treat ones. I can still hurt you. Yeah,
I too will accept this treatment. If you were offering
it to everyone, I will take the gamble. I trust
my friend.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
So I would like to say CROM's successful roles to
unsuccessful roles in this entire campaign are very split difference.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
The ratio is way off. Can I get a block
of cheese? I am ready? Oh it's Kyle Fer.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Yeah, there are tod you roll.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
He didn't hurt you.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
I have a plus eight in my medicine.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
I mean I'm doing pretty good. That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
That's actually pretty high. Yeah, it's not bad.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
So it's gonna be a four D eight plus ten healing.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Damn, what that is? What I mean pretty good. That
can almost like that's it could bring half your health back.
That can fix me right now, but little chills.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
Yes, Land doesn't strap the sun plus twice.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
Oh shit, are you looking for a new D twenty No,
I'm looking for two more D eights.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Oh can I borrow a D eight?

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Yeah? Wait crumb? Do you roll his health or a
different dight?

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (26:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Does you're the medic?

Speaker 5 (26:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I mean I mechanically, No, but role play. I'm gonna
leave it up to Kirby.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Kirby my rolling my healing.

Speaker 5 (26:55):
Are you I'm I'm rolling it because I'm the doctor.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
I am a surgeon.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Twenty three.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
That's really good.

Speaker 5 (27:05):
I'm filming in an hour on adolza.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
In an hour, he won't be enfeebled. So oh it'll
turn out.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
If you guys want to wait around for an hour,
let that hunter do what she does for now? Is
she okay? And she got my backpack?

Speaker 2 (27:19):
And at this point I don't care about that.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
If I die in the process saving the hunter, I
don't really care.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
We're resting for an hour.

Speaker 6 (27:26):
Out of close the eyes, all right, that's been nervous
when the looktop.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
I take my hat off and I look down and
close my eyes.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Y uncle, pray to the gods you roll listen.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
In that one maybe.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Critical success eighty eight.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
I should have taken that, you really should have.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
I just want you all to know, alright, that I
took forty three points of damage that fight.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Prey to the god.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
Of ordering, the verdant tyrant, the god of nature and survival.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Thirty three Health. Oh my, it's free health Estate.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Chrom pulls out his hand drawn PhD and kisses it.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
It just says the letters p h n D with
a bombinerneath it. Actually, yeah, but it doesn't say PhD.
It's just minus minus the bomb. It just it's just
white paper in cwn pH D.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
You know what, we shouldn't actually make that physically and
mail that to our first patron.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
I'm hella down, Yeah, I am as well.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Exclusive mythical misfits like paperwork such as CROM's pH D
describe to Patreon.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
There you go that honestly, that that's really funny.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
The only reason why I'm not doing it is because
he can make me one and I'm part of the cast.
How cool to be If you were first listener insert
name here.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
First patron would not only get Crome PhD, but a
shout out on the show, not first listener. Wow, first patron,
you said first patron, I said, first stener. Okay, so
you just like corrected yourself. Yeah, used to correct You'll
get Crumb's PhD and a shout out on the show
that would be neat every Episodeitch, keep track of you guys,

(29:18):
gotta track like your character sheets and you guys fuck
that up.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
I'm a crash out again.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
Don't crash out.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
He's actually right, I can'd not for real.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Yeah, So I come from the guy who can't remember
what his buffs are to his melee attacks, who can't
remember what kind of bonuses he gets per shot, and
who can't land as sot to save his life, and
has a consot look at him when he finally does
something because he never wears good enough.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
I'm not crashing on parking.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Yeah, we're gonna park here for an hour because I'm
men need him to battle medicine me again in.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
The meantime, lose bro I lost like forty points of
health so my max.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
So my max is sixty four and I had a
plus six, so I had seventy health I was down
to twenty seven.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Well the first one was like twenty two, and then
a fourteen and a sixteed.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
You got it, Donked Brod. These guys are cool.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
Oh, like I said as a dungeon master switching from
five E, like FIVEY has cool monsters. Sure, but the
monsters and Pathfinder, my god, I love them. They're like
having new toys.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
I am going to take the initiative real quick and
I'm going to scope ahead. I'm going to let you
guys know, I'm gonna Hey, I'm gonna walk through that arch.
I'm taking my equipment with me just in case. If
anything goes wrong, I'm whistling, they'll they'll throw something, pup. No,
I have no intention. I just I want to scope
out that next room because if we have enemies here,
I'd like to know if they're in the next room

(30:41):
as well.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Okay, So, like Lucas's voice got deeper as the episodes
went on, almost just.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
Fought that wall.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Yeah wow, I'm so self aware of that now, and
it makes me uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
You know.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
The funny thing is is, in real life, I just
have a sore throat. It's so sad, it's so sad,
but yeah, I have a slightly sore throat.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
You're you're heading into the next hallway alone.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Yes, okay, but I'm gonna stealth it. Okay, I roll stealth,
that's true. Yeah, I'm gonna roll my own stuff just
so I feel better about myself, no matter what's your
self modifier. I'm so glad you roll myself. I rolled
in that one. My stealth modifiers A plus nine. Okay,
damn you can intervene and take that in that one
right now? Know the fuck you can't. No, you can't

(31:31):
halts with nine bullshits? Alright. It makes me so sad
as you're whispering the mic, and that gives me context
clues into what I just rolled. And I'm so sad
you have no idea. I don't know what I just rolled,
but the fact're whispering, you.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Don't even know what I said. The listeners do it?
You don't got to wait till the episode drops, all right?

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:56):
In two weeks?

Speaker 4 (31:58):
When do you wait for them to heal? Do you
just go while they're healing? I just go while they're healing, so.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Before he does something stupid, can you hear me?

Speaker 7 (32:04):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Because you already kind of did something stupid.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
How's a better hour?

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Contact for time's sake?

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Yes, so I've been exploring for an hour. Oh it means,
oh so you how deep in do you go? Do
you just walk to the archway and look in? Or
do you know I'm in it?

Speaker 1 (32:19):
You?

Speaker 3 (32:20):
You walk in? But I'm going slow, taking my time
every like if there's a step, I look every step,
perception check if I have to.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
As you leave your teammates behind, as they continue to
rest and gain some health back, you walk into the
archway that leads to a hallway of sorts carved with
ancient stone, the stone begins to take shape.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
On it.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
You see murals. You see figures standing, and they go
in sequence. They start where it's one figure standing across
the field from many others. You step across the moss
covered soonne a few more feet and you see the
next one. Now that one figure has multiplied to two,

(33:09):
the two groups begin to run at each other further
down the hallway. The next mile shows that the two
has multiplied to four. A little farther down it happens again.
The four is multiplied to eight, and the two then
clash in battle. Beyond that the walls have crumbled far

(33:30):
too much to see what happens next. Farther down the hallway,
you see a closed door.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
In front of you. What do you do? I would
like to first off, I'd like to ask you how
far am I from my teammates? Probably about thirty to
forty feet, Okay, so I'm not four at all. Right,
I will stride back. I like to like jog really quickly,
and I'd be like, hey, there's a there's a door
down here, and a lot of weird murals, and I

(33:59):
describe the mirror as you did, Yo, Kyle, where's.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Theme from what lucas?

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Guys, there's a there's a guys, there's a serious for
two seconds. There's a door at the end of this hall.
Stop injecting him with ship.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Yeah, giving, come.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
On, there's a door at the end of the hallway.
I didn't look too far into it. I didn't want
to get too strung away from you guys. But there's
also a lot of murals depicting like what I assume
was a war because one side was originally one person,
the other side was a bunch of people, and then
the one side with only one person kept growing and
growing and growing while they were running at one another,
and then the walls are crumbled, so I can't quite

(34:42):
tell what else is there. But if you guys, if
you know, I'm just so you guys know, I'm gonna
go try and open that door, unless someone says.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Otherwise, you were gonna wait until Crumb is done stabbing
my arm, all the stabs for nothing.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
Okay, in that case, I'm not off from nothing.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
I'm not a leveling bolt out of Stiles.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
I'm gonna go now of a lightning bolt.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Well, the scar my Harry Potter is a Potter?

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Who's Harry? Is that one of Herb's friends.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Probably I'm gonna go ahead and taken alixir of life
because you failed.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
I'm back by the door, oh for healing.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
You go to the door, and it is as ancient
as the rest of the stone work in this ruins.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
There's no noticeable door handles or keyholes or anything. It's
just a flat door. Yeah, it's a I mean it's
it's a stone door that you can like push. Oh, okay, cool.
Can I just like perception and check it real fast?

Speaker 7 (35:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:38):
Absolutely? Or I was I was gonna ask if I
could tell like you know, is this some sort of
like ancient tribe or does this seem like something familiar?

Speaker 4 (35:49):
Like have I seen that would be the actions that
probably be a recall knowledge society. Yeah, okay, you can
also I would give you nature in case you have
knowledge of the societies that lived in.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
The This part of the four is the problem is
I've never had any experience in this for us. But
what I will do is I'll actually run back to
Kyle and I'll go, hey, can I pick your brain
with something? Can you come look at this door with me?

Speaker 2 (36:07):
I have lower warfare, but that works since the Murals
are depicted of a great war.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
Yeah, you can give that shot.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Going to roll that to help you out. So what
did you help with luggas?

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Uh? So there's there's a door that needs to be
pushed open before I touch it. I wanted to check
it out and see if maybe like we knew that
this group did or this you know, type of tribe
whatever like was commonly trapping stuff. Because I don't want
to die today.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
Okay, well, first let me take a look at the
Murals see if I can get any information from that.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
Yeah, and while you do that, I'm gonna go check
out that door and see if I can't tell what's
going on. Yeah, of course, dude, I thought you were
still packing up your medical equipment.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
Well I'm not.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
What do you mean what medical equipment? It's just a
rock and oh my god.

Speaker 5 (36:49):
Isn't that Isn't that what all doctors have?

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Um, you know what we will, we'll we'll flush out
your your medical kit when we get back to town.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Okay, all right, so warfair role.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Glad.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
I'm burning those now because I swear if that happens
again in combat, what you get kind of gnat one.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Oh, like's the long scoop.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
So the carvings are not intricate enough for you to
get any type of societal information off of them that
can remind you of any war that you are aware of.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
I rolled nature. That's a eighteen plus eight.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
So just flat perception. If you're just looking at.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
The door, like what like I'm trying to like invest Oh,
if you're just looking at it's flat perception, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:30):
Yeah, there's there's no nature check for the door. It's
just a stone door. Oh it appears to be a door,
I can say indeed, these are not natural.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
So you said the door's locked.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
I haven't even tried it. Yeah, I'm just gonna make
the executive Well, I didn't want to touch it because
you see, no, I know, I get what it's like, Okay,
because I imagine this place in my head. I'm like, this
place is eerie, dude, this place is like really creepy.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Yeah. I don't want to get in feebled too, just
for you know, touching a doorknob.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
You know what I I well, I mean, you guys
saw a big, spooky, my discovered courtyard and decided to, like,
you know, walk on in a little bit of step dance.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
I'm gonna take my scimitar. I'm gonna have my bow
in my left hand, my cemitar on my right hands.
I'm going to like lightly pushed door. When did you
get a skimmy? I've had it the whole time. I
just don't use it.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
You fist fought a wolf because.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
I got balls on me. Boy, open the door slides open.
I put the scimitar away. Can I see inside? Yeah?
You can.

Speaker 4 (38:28):
There seems to be some type of chamber with it
used to be in closed, but it's crumbled over time.
There's a few holes enough for some sunlight to shine
in to light the room, so it's not darkness, but
it isn't closed. In the center of the room, you
see three stone pedestals with objects on top.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Can I do an arcona check on those items and
the pedestals.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
You'd have to go into the room. I have a.

Speaker 6 (38:53):
Yeah, I had multiple like the hole of the water Bob,
but I thought it was stipid over time.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
That'd be a great time to have it.

Speaker 5 (39:03):
Huh, No, I don't have.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
We're going to talk about that later at our next
crown meeting. That's okay, No, No, We're gonna have a
crown meeting.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
I'm walking in the room very slowly.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
When I attempt to step, I put my hand on
his shoulder and I walk behind him with my Are
you stealthy?

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (39:20):
Okay, well with my hand touching all right?

Speaker 4 (39:23):
You walk into the room as quietly as you can,
sticking to the darker parts of the room that have
less of the reflections of the lights and that kind
of stuff.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
How far under you go? Can you give me like
a better idea of what the room looks like.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
It's a round room with a stone floor, stone walls.
There were spots for torches many years ago, but they've burned, burned,
and the wood is rotted. Three pedestals in them. Centering
on the other side of the room is another stone door.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Okay. What I'll do then, is I assume the walkway
doesn't just open up into this room, does It'm assume
there's like another hallway.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
Well, no, the door opens into the room.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
Oh okay. If that's the case, then doesn a swing
or out towards me into the room into the room?
Oh that's horrible. Okay. Then I'll just like peek my head.
I'll imagine my left shoulder still in the doorway, so
I peek around the left side real quick.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
Yeah, you don't see anything else?

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Okay. Then I'll like kind of carefully peek around behind
the door, make sure there's nothing behind it. Nope, I
guess the room's empty. I'm gonna continue to stick along
the edge and just like be super careful about it. Okay,
like super weirded out. You have to admit, like this
is creepy. The way you've described this is really really creepy,
Like even I getting goosebumps. This is weird.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
So you guys see Lucas slowly and carefully walk.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Into the room. What do you guys do, Am I
still following the hunter's trail? Am I still able to
track her presence in here?

Speaker 4 (40:44):
You get a bonus for survival checks for the person
you're hunting, right, yes, okay, give me a survival check.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
I might as well just try. That's nine. Let me
let me see what my other modifiers are real quick.

Speaker 7 (40:56):
Wow, that really.

Speaker 4 (40:57):
Hurts man a lot of ones tonight.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Yeah. Yeah, well, last session was a lot of twenties.

Speaker 4 (41:03):
That's really true that the dice gods do balance the
scales at the end of the day.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
So I get a plus two. So one plus is
it survival? Yeah? Right, okay, I believe so Yah, you're
a class so eleven.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
All right, so you are able to tell that the
footsteps that you have been following do enter into this room.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
That's good news.

Speaker 5 (41:26):
God, I didn't lose that, it's all.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
I guess. I approached the center of the room. Okay.

Speaker 4 (41:34):
You walk into the center of the room, and as
you do, you get a better look at the walls,
and on the walls are carvings. They're not exactly murals
because they're not full scenes. But what you do see
is a single figure, not detailed enough to see any
particular type of arm or anything, but you can tell
that it's a humanoid. You know, it's standing standing, full
straight up, head pointing up, arms out at a downward angle,

(41:58):
and there seems to be like rip of its exact
shape spreading out from the center figure. It kind it's
kind of reminiscent of the figure that was, you know,
multiplying in the murals of the hall statue.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Hey, Kyle, I got a really question. It's like carving.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Oh okay, I want to say, this is not.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
In front of us, Kyle and crom I got a
question for you guys. Didn't those creatures kind of look
like the ones that attack home? And now we're looking
at this really weird armored figure in like a culty room.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
Man, why are you gonna bring this up?

Speaker 3 (42:29):
Like?

Speaker 2 (42:30):
Well, no, I don't mean to well, no, no, I
get you.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
Like this mean he's really suspicious.

Speaker 4 (42:36):
He's like scratching his head to be completely real.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
It's it's hard to know exactly because it's just something
I've never seen before. But I I to be honest,
it could, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
It could.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
It does feel that way.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
What's on the pedestals.

Speaker 4 (42:49):
You look in on the pedestals as you get a
little bit closer, and on the face of each pedestal,
and the first one there's a two carved into it.
On the second pedestal there's a three, and on the
third pedestal there's the number four resting on top of them.
On the first pedestal is a water skin. The second
pedestal is a dagger, and then the third pedestal a

(43:10):
rope shuttles.

Speaker 5 (43:12):
That's a third red puzzle. I don't think I'm going to.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
What sucks is in real life puzzles like this my
uh notoriously bad act.

Speaker 3 (43:22):
Yeah, the same.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
It doesn't matter how simple it may be, so I overanalyze.
So there's a one.

Speaker 5 (43:30):
I thought it was a three four?

Speaker 1 (43:33):
Is it two?

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Three four? Sorry, Mike. Yes.

Speaker 4 (43:35):
On the front of the pedestals is a two, a three,
and a four.

Speaker 3 (43:44):
Hater up off me.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
It's just really fun to all the people that brought
it out the notebook, it's you.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
I don't no, I'll use my blood. Have a knife,
no knife, Jesus.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
My sweats today' got no knife.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
Crumb walks up to the to the pedestal, to the pedestals, waterskin, dagger, rope.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
We're missing one.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
That's the problem. We don't have the one. Yeah, no,
one have a pen, bro, We're all dying, idiot.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
So I do have a pen, it's in my car,
but I got a ride here.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
That doesn't help at all.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
You know, if the laptop that's in front of you
has this magical thing called a note pad, appen, a.

Speaker 5 (44:30):
Dogger, a rope, the numbers to throw far.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
But we're missing the number one.

Speaker 6 (44:38):
So it's up said about But I don't think that
was ever other than mention of life are broken the pedestal,
as they are broken pedestal, there is no.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
Maybe maybe the figure in the middle is the number.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
Guys. Figure guys, guys, guys, we are number one. Hey,
I thought you had something.

Speaker 5 (44:58):
So how how tall the pedestals?

Speaker 3 (45:02):
You can reach them?

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Cross job? He said how tall the pedestals? And he's like,
you can reach them?

Speaker 6 (45:10):
Crom Oh yeah, don't for the one that has the
dagger on it. All right, then I'm going to pull
the dagger off of the pedestal.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
The dagger's resting on top and you grab it and
nothing happens.

Speaker 2 (45:26):
Oh, I'm going to walk up to the pedestal with
the rope on it.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
Okay, I'm gonna grab the rope. You pick up the rope,
nothing happens.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
Crumb, Can I tie the rope around the dagger? So
we tie the rope around the dagger.

Speaker 3 (45:40):
I guess the water skin?

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Yeah, and then I want you to hold it up
like that.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
So you want me to put my limb at risk
whatever fuck or you're about to do. Yes, I trust you,
and I like shake that fearal quick and I hold
my arm out holding the waterskin. I have no clue what.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
I grabbed the rope with the now freshly tied down okay,
and I swirled around like a lasso.

Speaker 3 (46:03):
Oh sweet, oh my, oh Mike, what are you doing? Brother? Stop?

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Probably it's probably to my idea.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
What do you mean? We love that ideas?

Speaker 2 (46:10):
Do it?

Speaker 3 (46:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (46:11):
But if something happened, if we damage the water skin,
or if I damage you even worse.

Speaker 5 (46:16):
Have another so whatever to suffle all the around?

Speaker 3 (46:20):
Holy shit, he's right.

Speaker 2 (46:22):
Okay, So let's untie the dagger from the rope. How
about this, Let's put the dagger where the waterskin's at.
So sorry, Mike, put the water skin where the rope
was the rope and where the dagger was. What happens?

Speaker 6 (46:35):
Nothing, I'm gonna drop the dog and I'm gonna look
at the dot.

Speaker 5 (46:39):
I don't think the battle.

Speaker 4 (46:41):
No, it seems to be very very simple dagger.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Can I look at the waterskins skin?

Speaker 5 (46:47):
Don't even ask about the rope.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
Wait, I have a question, Mike. You said it's looking
upwards and its hands are pointed down. Are the hands
open or they fists? They're open like as if they
were beholding something.

Speaker 4 (47:03):
Uh No, they're just open up. Okay, crop's gonna look up.
It's just a stone ceiling, nothing special.

Speaker 3 (47:10):
I'm going to walk to the doors behind the statue
and open it. It's it's locked.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
If we put the dagger in one hand the water
skin in the other, and then tie the rope around
its neck.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
That that's kind of cool, though, bro, I am trying.
What if there's not a statue.

Speaker 4 (47:30):
It's just a carving on the wall. There's multiple carvings.
It's like around the room. It's just it's an artful motif. Bro,
I really thought, nothing statue. There's a statue? Said no,
it's not a statue. Sorry, I don't even know what
motif means.

Speaker 3 (47:44):
Okay, So if that's the case, then motive is there
anything on the ground in between these? No? No, I
feel like you're so disappointed right now. No I expected this. Okay,
you like a third grade pels in front of the answers.
No way, no, no oh, gont be bad at me

(48:06):
because you can figure out the puzzle. I was gonna say,
you might just want to pause the recording while we
bra We're gonna need I want to. You're gonna have
a two hour episode of nothing.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
Now we gotta go backwards.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (48:19):
Wherever you guys have the items, they disappear and reappear
on the pedestals.

Speaker 5 (48:24):
So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
I'm so doing a crown voice.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
I told you you are.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
Yeah, so like when we like shuffle them around and
just went back to their respective places.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
Okay, I really wish I had a pen right now.
I'm fucking stumped. Guys. Options we would.

Speaker 4 (48:43):
Guys have to decide collectively if you want to hint.
If you do, I'll give you one.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
I want to. I want to agree.

Speaker 3 (48:49):
You all have adventures packs.

Speaker 1 (48:52):
What I'm going to go into my adventures pack and
pull out a rope a water skin and probably like some.

Speaker 3 (48:59):
Crappy wood carving knife. Okay, what do you do with it?

Speaker 1 (49:03):
I'm going to place the rope on the rope, the
waterskin on the water skin, and the wood carving knife
on the dagger.

Speaker 4 (49:10):
When you set the water skin next to the water
to the other water skin, the two on the pillar
lights up. That was the fucking puzzle.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
Shut up, just shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up,
shut up, shut up, shut up.

Speaker 3 (49:23):
Rope Now, I talked to a bundle of rope off
the side of my bag, and I take my dagger
and I put it on the dagger.

Speaker 4 (49:31):
Okay, the second pedestal lights up. You guys, hear a
thunk behind locked door.

Speaker 5 (49:39):
We don't talk about this. The other bottle.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
No, no, was an elaborate puzzle. No, we don't mention
puzzle ever. Never even gotcha. I go behind us and
I close the door, close behind us.

Speaker 2 (49:51):
No one knows we were here. Crop Kyle shaking his
head and defeat and being beaten by a four years
old's puzzle. My go ahead and walk to that door
and open it.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
CRM pulls out his PhD and folds puts it in
the bottom part of this man.

Speaker 3 (50:09):
I wasn't raised on books. I was raised on dirt
and leaves and fish.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
I thought, you're raised in a fishery.

Speaker 4 (50:15):
You have, you guys answer in the hallway, what multiply?

Speaker 5 (50:25):
Why?

Speaker 3 (50:26):
Why?

Speaker 5 (50:27):
Crom walks through the new door.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
Can we take a break? Walks through the new door?

Speaker 2 (50:35):
I follow, Yeah, I'm already in. I don't know where
feet because because he said, I gave you guys the
answer as I said, oh yeah, the images seemed to
seemingly seen the multiply. I thought they were ghosts, multiplying
as ghosts do when they're being summoned.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
What is ghosts?

Speaker 2 (50:52):
We just bought spectral gals from hell.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
What's that have to do with the ancient figure carved
into the wall?

Speaker 3 (50:58):
I don't know. You said, the mural has had things
multiplying on them. It had one figure multiplying on them.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
Lucas is crime one figure multiplying into many to defeat
the opposing army. Anyways, all right, you guys walked through.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Yep, So no, Lucas had nothing to do with metal
fan just damn puzzle.

Speaker 5 (51:17):
I'm not gonna sorry.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
I thought, now we're depressed, stupid, and defeated.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
Let's just take a rest, guys, take a short rest.

Speaker 5 (51:30):
We'll never talk about.

Speaker 3 (51:33):
I think you need to take a breather. No, we
continue walking.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
Actually, crom, I would really appreciate if you could, if
we could rest another hour. How long were we doing
that puzzle for Chief DM?

Speaker 3 (51:47):
I don't know if twenty minutes?

Speaker 2 (51:49):
Oh god, can we rest for forty minutes so he
can so an hour could pass? So he came to you, guys,
I am at a third of my health.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
For context viewers, There's a bench press machine right next
to me, and I'm so tempted to hit that as punishment.
I feel like a fucking idiot right now. I might
go bang out. Ten'd be too hard on yourself.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
Crumb reluctantly sits on the ground and folds the hell
out of his arms.

Speaker 3 (52:16):
I would like to ask you, by the way, don't
feel too bad. It was a fucking matching puzzle. You
match objects. That's not even third grade. That is first grade.

Speaker 2 (52:28):
My three year old daughter's doing that.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Fuck dude, we're talking about it. We are all in
our This is supposed to be arrest. Shut up. Early
early thirties, late twenties. What early twenties? I no, late twenties.

Speaker 5 (52:45):
No, you were right the first time to shut up?

Speaker 2 (52:48):
Sorry, yeah, can we anymore?

Speaker 3 (52:52):
I need to get up.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
I'm really upset if any of you legitimately got that
before they did let us know in the comments.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
No no, no, no, no, no no, I don't want to
no no. He needs to know if his hints and
his giving of the answers are simple enough. Do you
guys wait? Yes, an I get up, and now you're
sitting down.

Speaker 3 (53:14):
You're waiting.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Last time you walked off by yourself, you walked into
a puzzle and none of us heard the explanation.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
Well what if this next one isn't the puzzle.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
I don't care sit down, but I want to walk.
I shut up.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
I walk around the room.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (53:26):
You're in the hallway. I just like walk. And I
bump my brim in my hat on the hallway.

Speaker 7 (53:31):
On the on the water roll battle medicine, and I
walked five What helled you at Kyle forty nine? Now
you have I got hit once for half of.

Speaker 6 (53:45):
That maxill My max houth is fun to Oh it's
better than I thought.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
I'm the tank. I don't want to hear it. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (53:56):
Such a thought that was, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
No, you're right.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
Well he isn't still standing, which is the tanks job.

Speaker 5 (54:03):
So you know, hold a lot.

Speaker 4 (54:05):
Put your calories into your muscles, not your brain. You
got this, buddy.

Speaker 3 (54:11):
You know Kurt Cobain had a point.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
Rest is over.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
We move forward onward. I fixed my brain and I
start walking down the hallway the long way. I walked
back towards the puzzle.

Speaker 5 (54:25):
Apples.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
I hit the closed door. I turned around and start
walking the other way like a fucking room.

Speaker 2 (54:34):
But I let them walk in front of me through
the door. Slam. The door shut behind me.

Speaker 7 (54:39):
You're already in the hallways, said, I walked back to
slam the door shut, okay, and then I walked back
to my team.

Speaker 4 (54:46):
If it makes you feel, it does, I don't care
about the door slam. There was probably about three thousand
ways that puzzle could have gone, So don't beat yourself
up too bad. So we had a first.

Speaker 3 (54:59):
We just discovered two thousand women's fine. So wait, you
mean to tell me.

Speaker 4 (55:03):
That no, I had one solution. But I'm saying finding
random objects on pedestals with unmatching numbers, like, I can
understand how there's there could be many ways.

Speaker 3 (55:12):
That could have gone. I fucking can't.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
My next step was to cut the rope into three
pieces and put the pedestal with the three on it.

Speaker 3 (55:20):
That would have worked. Are you serious? Are you serious?

Speaker 4 (55:25):
Well, if you would have done it on the pedestal
that was on with the four but yeah, that would
have worked because it would have been for anymore pieces,
And if you would have done that from the start,
it would have lit up.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
That was literally my first my first thing I wanted
to do, but I was like no.

Speaker 8 (55:39):
But every time we do a puzzle, I overcomplicated.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
I was.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
What's the what's this hallway? Like? What's down the hallway?
And Lucas has developed the drinking problem?

Speaker 4 (55:57):
Echoing down the hallway. You guys here, deep breaths, you
have asthma. It's getting cold outside.

Speaker 5 (56:08):
Hello, a little cow? Oh what happened? I've been hurt?

Speaker 3 (56:17):
You hear it echoed down the hallway?

Speaker 2 (56:19):
What?

Speaker 3 (56:21):
I'm not sure? It was a creature in the next one,
the next room over? Who are you?

Speaker 5 (56:29):
I'm crying?

Speaker 3 (56:31):
Can I roll survival? Well this is happening, Yeah, go ahead.
I don't believe this is a person eight. He's making
angry gestures or is that happy gestures?

Speaker 5 (56:42):
It's hard to tell me.

Speaker 3 (56:43):
Well, so the problem is is it literally stood like
this on the corner with the NAT twenty and then
it rolled over to a ten. So I wanted to
throw the fast but I got an eighteen anyways, which
is bad, but I was so excited to have an
at twenty. Sou'd be such a cool moment.

Speaker 4 (56:54):
It sounds like a humanoid, like, you know, an actual
physical person or being. Chram you hear back?

Speaker 3 (57:01):
Where do you hear?

Speaker 1 (57:02):
Chrome?

Speaker 5 (57:04):
How from a small fellow?

Speaker 6 (57:05):
Cala, what are you doing in the place like this?

Speaker 4 (57:11):
It's a It sounds like a female's voice, a woman's voice.

Speaker 5 (57:14):
I'm a trouser hunter.

Speaker 3 (57:16):
Are you gonna hurt me? Chrome?

Speaker 4 (57:18):
Now?

Speaker 5 (57:18):
I have a reasen so I don't.

Speaker 6 (57:19):
Know, come on here so I could see you just.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Offer out, don't Lucas Aerodron.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
I'm six foot one.

Speaker 5 (57:37):
I just realized, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (57:39):
I was gonna do fireman carrying on his shoulder.

Speaker 2 (57:41):
And anyways, I walk up with Cram on my shoulder, so.

Speaker 4 (57:46):
The howly kind of curves a little bit, and that's
where the voice was coming from.

Speaker 3 (57:49):
You continue to walk, You're on my stealth. Please yeah,
so you're trying to stick stay back and sell. Yeah,
I'm behind them stealthy. And you walk you do walk forward, right, k?

Speaker 9 (57:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (57:58):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (57:58):
You walk forward as you round the corner a little
bit and you see a figure sitting down on one
of the walls, the glint of an arrowhead pointed at you.
And you see a woman sitting down. She's breathing heavy.

Speaker 3 (58:16):
Crum. He didn't say someone was with you. Mask.

Speaker 4 (58:20):
Stop walking, okay, stop do stop?

Speaker 9 (58:23):
Wow, I just imagine you pull my.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
Yes, I stop walking with that.

Speaker 4 (58:38):
Okay, you stop walking, and you get a little bit
better look of her, and she seems to be older,
probably fifties, maybe sixties, but in good shape. She's got
pepper hair, black and white hair strands tied up in
a bun, and she is breathing heavily, sitting down, arrow

(58:59):
pointed at you.

Speaker 3 (58:59):
She goes, what's you all doing here? I'm a punk, guys.
What's the hunter's name? We're supposed to be following?

Speaker 5 (59:06):
I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (59:06):
I think this is it. I'm gonna yell out. I'm like,
I've been tracking you. We were told to come.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Save you by who some goblin?

Speaker 3 (59:18):
No we're being sorry. I come out of stealth and
I just approach normally.

Speaker 4 (59:23):
Do you walk past Kyle, yes, she's a stop it stop.

Speaker 3 (59:26):
Do you listen? Hands out? I have my hands out,
but I do keep watching goes slowly, you keep walking slowly. Stop. Okay,
then I stopped. But I'm in front of Kyle like
five ft. Want me that known? Okay? So I was sent.
We were sent by the Little Wood camp just passing by,
and they said that they lost you. I've been following
your tracks for as long as I possibly could.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
Hold on a second. Okay, because as soon as you
walk past Kyle, but something you hear a click and
something goes off a trap. As you hear the mechanism click,
something fired off, and you need to make a reflex
save twenty six, you're able to side step as a

(01:00:12):
handmade web kind of net hits the wall with force
right next to you, and she kind of like breathed hev.

Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
She goes, sorry, I didn't know who is who might
come up behind me. No, no, I get it. I
do the same thing. Actually, I use trip wires, though
I'm a little bit more of an amateur. Uh. Trip
wires tried and tested it. What was your name again?
I'm Lucas. Pleasure to meet you. My hands are still up.
You can know your hand Lucas Penn specifically, my name
is a low shadowside sound. How long you've been down here?

(01:00:44):
A couple of days?

Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
Well started up there and tried to make my way
to find the source of this this plague that's hitting
the woods around us, and I think I found it.
She kind of lifts up the leather vest that he
has on and you see crimson red covering her entire
Torso she goes, yes, I am gravely in fact, and

(01:01:09):
she takes a deep breath with a gurgle, and she goes,
I try to go into the next room and stop it,
but it didn't stop.

Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
What.

Speaker 4 (01:01:17):
So this this poison that's infecting the woods are out
of us?

Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Yes, I would love it. Please.

Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
Crom like kicks his feet into like Kyle's like clasicles.

Speaker 5 (01:01:31):
Forward the bottle top.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Sorry, my friends are strange.

Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
And she just looks very confused, and she looks at
you and she sees.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Your bow and she goes, you're a hunter as well. Yeah,
