Going to "rest"

Well, folks a surprise. They did not know what was
going to happen. Neighbors is going off the air again.
I'll come to the Neighbors after show. I'm James U Junior,
your Neighbors fan in America. And they made the announcement
today on their pages. I want to read what they
said and how they called it resting interesting, but they're

(00:26):
going off the air again. And I and I as
an American fan, I was getting into it. And because
of the Daytime Emmys last year, the nominations, and because
they were on Amazon Free V and now Amazon Prime,
they made it so easy for me to get into it.
And the show, the way it was shot, the way
it lugged at, the different storylines to actors, it's a

(00:48):
really good show. As an outsider perspective from just in America.
And so folks said sort to make characters left, so
it wasn't the same. But for me, they were all
new to me so and there was some really I
get to interview three of them when I first started
on this show. It was kind of kind of fun.
But here's there. Here's their notice from Neighbors, and I quote,

we are sad to announce that Neighbors will be resting
from December twenty twenty five. New episodes of the fortieth
anniversary season, just like east Enders is doing their fortieth
right now, will continue to air Amazon Prime in ten
four times a week until the end of the year,
with all the big, silky twists and turns that our
viewers love. Jason Herbison, Neighbors is thinking, producers said, quote,

Audiences all around the world have loved and embraced Neighbors
for four decades, and we are very proud of the
huge success over the last two years, including often appearing
as one of the top ten titles in the UK

Daytime Series in twenty twenty four. As this chapter closes,

we appreciate you, think Amazon MGM Studios for all they
have done for Neighbors, bringing this iconic much love series
to new audiences globally. We value how much the fans
love Neighbors, and we believe there are more stories of
the residents, Ramsey event of Ramsey Street to tell in
the future. End quote. That's what's so interesting right as

we have a new soap in America debut next week
with Beyond the Gates sophere in the world is going
out of business, and I was like, I actually really enjoyed. Well,
I guess it could be up for Emmys this year too.
I guess the nominations come out. I really enjoyed that
it broke through the ceiling of our daytime Emmys Drama

(02:38):
section and really got people going, wait a minute, what's
going on? Because there are these other great subs South
Side of America, But this is about neighbors, and they
were my neighbors for a short year this year, last year,
and I'll be sad to see it go. And which
because this show goes now, this is the last show,

(03:00):
because I'm going to probably do a couple of episodes
till it ends. You know, I'll do a show. I'll
do it. I'll do an ending show for sure for
the end of the end of the year, so you
won't see that many Neighbors episodes of this after show.
I'll do it when I feel like I need to
do them. They're a giant Sapye twist On might do one,
and I might try to reach out and get some

interviews if I can some more. And but I just
want to wish everybody on that cast and crew congratulations
for all the hard work you did. You brought the
show back and hopefully as will five jobs after this.
There's other stuff out there. I don't want people out
