Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, you guys, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
This is Joseph Vonner and welcome to another amazing show. Now,
you guys already know that I'm the one who brings
you the inspiring interviews.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Now with us.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Today we got the one, the only, Isaiah Carter, and
he is the CEO and founder of Isaiah Carter Insurance
Services and he's represented American National. We'd like to give
him a nice warm welcome to the show, mister Carter.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Welcome. How you doing today?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Hey, I'm doing great, Wen, thank you for having me
on your show. I find this as a great honor.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, we're super excited to have you. Now, I'm super
excited to talk to you because you know, it's COVID nineteen.
We're dealing with that World War three might be.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
On the horizon. So all right, the world's going crazy
right now?

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Yes it is.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
However, despite all that we who are you know, holding
it down at home and in our jobs, we still
need to make sure that we're taking care of ourselves.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Need to be protected, our cars need to be protected.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
We want to make sure that our children are taking
care of you know, God forbid something happen to us
and so we need to make sure that we're setting
up things in our life to make sure that we are.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Okay in the event that things transpire.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
And so I think this is one of the reasons
why I'm so excited to have you on today's show, Isaiah,
is because people really need to know how to keep
themselves protected and exactly how you can help them do that.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Wow, well, thank you. One of the best ways that
we can stay protected is by insurance. I mean by
getting insurance on your home. With your business, you need
insurance and you need also need it for your car
at all all, I mean most of them are are
you have to have it by law as far as
your home and auto and everything. But I mean the

(01:50):
insurance for your life is something that some people kind
of miss out on it and they don't really think
it's I don't know if they don't think it's important
or they think they have time to get it. But
there's certain things about life insurance that people really need
to understand. One is, as you get older, it gets
more expensive. The other thing is that it also can
provide a savings for yourself if you get something like

(02:12):
an IU L an IUL policy and if you do that,
then it kind of builds up a savings for you.
We can't use the word investment, but it's something that
can help you down the line either if you especially,
like I really would like for more young people, more
young people of color, especially to look into IU L's

(02:33):
and to be able to have something set up for
you for your college fund. You can have it for
if you get it, like you, or you can use
it for a college front and also for when you're
ready to buy a house you have that savings set aside.
I mean, there's a lot of financial benefits of having insurance,
you know.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
One of the things I always say is heartbreaking is
you know, and this happens not only to just us
us regular people. What happens to celebrities too, where there's
like an untimely death and everybody runs to go fund
me to do a campaign. And I'm not saying that
it's a great service, you know, I appreciate that the platforms.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I'd use it for other people who needed support and help.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
But right I'm that kind of person to be honest
with you, Isaiah, like I don't want to go fund
me when I died, Like I'm you know, I want
everything taking care of.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I don't want nobody saying, oh, we had to do that.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
No, you ain't had to do with me, right right,
I mean exactly like for me.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Unfortunately, my mom passed away in two thousand and eight,
and I'm a mama's boy. I was devastated. The good
thing is is that my sister got a policy for
my mother. So when we were dealing with the devastation
of losing our mother she died in her sixties because
she wasn't even that old. And so we went to

(03:53):
of course to make the arrangements and everything was taken
care of.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Wow. And it made that situation just so much much better, easier,
not as stressful.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
And I think, I think that's what we as young,
especially as in the younger and I think younger.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I'm almost forty, you guys, but I'm myself young, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
But us you know, us forty years old and in
our twenty year old is what I really think.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
It's something that we should start taking more seriously. Now.
You know, money's tight for all of.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Us because you know, we were trying to, you know,
save our little change and everything. But it's how affordable
is life insurance Isaiah.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Life insurance is incredibly affordable and what you hit on
is right on target. A lot of people think that
it's that it's you know, too expensive that they can't
afford it, but especially if you get it when you're young,
it's so affordable. Twenty bucks maybe some less than that
a month, not that much. We spend more than that
on coffee. We spend more than that even now, you know,

(04:55):
way more. So it's something that is affordable and it's
something that also to me, it shows that you really
love and care about your family because you're not leaving
them with the burden. And it's U side, Well, I
won't be here, so you guys have to deal with it.
You know, you don't want to do that to your family, right,
So I think that it is something that you got
to make sure that you get to show that you

(05:17):
love yourself and you love your family. And like I said,
you can do like if you do like a term
policy that is really that's the one that's probably more affordable.
And I would say, if you didn't have a lot
of money, get a term policy that you can change
into a whole life policy. A lot of them you
can easily get turned into a whole life or like

(05:38):
I said, and I u O is an indexed universal
life policy.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
What does that mean?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
An index universal life? It means that it's tied into
the index the stock market, and it's actually like real safe.
It's safe because you can't lose the money that you
put in there. It's like a it's safer than a
new or even like your four oh one K. Yeah,
but it does grow though, and especially the I won't

(06:09):
say max out because that's but it after twenty years,
it will leave you a substantial amount of money, Okay,
and then if you even it even longer than that,
if you do want to use it for retirement, you
can easily retire with a nice amount of money. I
don't want to say different amounts. But if when I
talk to people individually, and if your audience is ready

(06:32):
to ever talk to me about it or want to
know more about it, then I would definitely be happy
to go over the numbers.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
But I think it's brilliant. I think it's a brilliant idea.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
And yeah, you clearly know what you're talking about, so
I mean I would recommend that they would come to you,
not someone else.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Thank you, Thank you, and I think here's my here's.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
My question too, because you know, some of us who.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Own our own companies, and you know, we're entrepreneurs, and
maybe we're kind of dimbling dobb into that. You know,
it'd be nice. Is there a place where we can
go and kind of get it all? You know, like
when I go to McDonald's, I can get it all.
I can get a burger, I can get some ice cream,
I can get a little solid if I'm feeling healthy,
you know, whatever, I get it all. You know, is
there a place where we can go where we can
kind of get you know, bundle of auto insurance, home insurance,

(07:15):
business insurance, life insurance. Is there like a little bundle,
like a little you know, McDonald's package we can.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Do with that? I love that?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
And yes, yes, we can definitely bubble it all together
and make a nice package where we can have it.
And the cool thing too about doing that is the
more that you do that, the more money you save. Okay, see,
so it's not only it's not only something that's helpful
to have everything in one place, but you're gonna save
money for doing it. But I was gonna give you,

(07:43):
like a little money back they're gonna keep all your money.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
You know that you get some of that back.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Now, so we can go to you for that, right,
So like we're looking at, say I need to I'm
looking for this, this and this. You know you can
bring all that together.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
For I definitely can't. Yes, the home auto business, you
want to stay for the entrepreneurs. You want to go
to someone that you know, you could trust, that cares
about you. Let's try to do something to help you.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Come on with you, bro, Like I never trusted that
guy whoed lizard, I really didn't you know something about lizards?

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Yo, I don't know I know that little guy. Yeah, yeah,
I won't send that. I won't say it, I will
say it, but yes.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I could say it. You know.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
I'm sorry I'm messing with Isaiah Carter y'all. Like I'd
rather know. I'd rather go to my brother. Isaika's gonna
hook us up. He's gonna make sure we're taken care of.
I trust you over the lizard any day. That's all
I gotta say. I want you guys to really make
sure that you guys are really paying attention to what
he's saying though, is because like it's best if you
can just get it all bundled, right, I mean, if
you're already you got to get insurance on your car,

(08:51):
you got to get you know, home insurance if you.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Got home right, Yeah, we do renters too.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Richard's insurance. That's right. If you've written out there, thank
you said that. That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
So, like we're trying to say, right now, everybody's trying
to count their change. You know you might if you
can save by bundling everything up. It just it's just
it just makes it especially right now we're in twenty
twenty two.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
It's expensive right now, you guys. And here's the reality is.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
You know it's going to get more expensive, even if
gas prices get dropped down low and as as they're
anticipating it to be, life is not getting more cheaper.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
You know, Rint's going up, Food's going up.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
So if you can say, especially on something as important
and vitalized insurance, you make that call, like you really
got to take this seriously, stop wasting your money on
all these extra fees and all these extra vendors, where
you can just go straight to the source and get
it done and.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Get taken care of.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
That makes definitely Isaiah Tell us a little about why
how you got into your insurance.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Tell us your story.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Ooh, okay, how much time do I got? How much
time do I got?

Speaker 4 (09:58):
You?

Speaker 1 (09:59):
As digest version, you guys know what I'm.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Talking about, all right.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Well, I have a background and and movie and television.
I got out of that, and then I was looking
for something that I can do because I love business
where I can make money and help people at the
same time. So I started out in life insurance and

(10:24):
I got with the company that and I won't say
their name, that was just all about making money and
they didn't care about the customer.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
And I just had a hard time with that.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I mean, I like making money, don't get me wrong,
but I want to make sure that I do something good.
And I heard someone say before, I don't know where
it came from, but I want to leave this place
better than I found it. Yeah, And so I started
looking for ways that I can do that and the
tools I could use. And I came across American National
and I loved their way. They thought the same way.

(10:56):
They constantly talked about taking care of your customer. They
gave me away and the opportunity to set up my
own insurance company and of course use their their product
and so it was just a match made in heaven. Yeah,
every day, I'm so thankful that I actually that I
joined with them and I'm partnered with them. I also
like the opportunity to work with nonprofits and people in

(11:19):
the community, so I'm very active in the community.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Well, thank you so much for not only embarking on
this journey to make your own life better, but also
to help make those around you and in the community better.
I think insurance is one of those topics. And I
was telling you before the show started, is that we
don't hear this talk about enough. We really don't know
and I don't even bring on guests about you know,
on this topic enough to be honest.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Yeah, I'm glad you're about to let me come on.
I'm glad I got an opportunity to come on.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
So I'm so appreciative that you're that you're here as well,
and I want my audience to really walk away from
the show knowing that you guys have options.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
You have options.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
You don't gotta and I'll say it again, you don't
gotta go to Guy Coo. You don't gotta go to
Flow Progress you know, flow, she don't know. Okay, I'm
gonna say it, she don't flow don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
But Isaiah Carter like it really did?

Speaker 3 (12:15):
You know?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Reach out to him? You guys, Isaiah, what's your website?
How they how can they get in touch with you?

Speaker 3 (12:20):
In touch with me through my website? And I'm pulling
that up. Let's see, he's.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Gonna pull up the website, you guys, he is. Remember
he is with American.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
National Isaiah Isaiah Carter dot my home, HQ dot biz.

Speaker 2 (12:38):

description of that in the link soever wherever you're listening
to this show, just go to the description of the show,
and you guys can actually click on the link to
his website where you guys can actually reach out to
him directly. So I definitely want to encourage you guys
to do that as well. And and with everything going
on in the crazy world, you know, make sure that

(12:59):
you're taking care of yourself, slow down enough to make
sure that you and your family are well provided for.
And that does mean giving some forethought. And that's where
insurance comes into play. And that is where Isaiah Carter
insurance comes into play as well. So, Isaiah Carter Insurance Services.
That is the official name of the business. Can you

(13:20):
give us that website one more time, mister Carter.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
It is Isaiah Carter dot my home biz. I mean
my home HQ dot biz. I apologize my home HQ
dot biz.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
All right, So Isaiah Carter dot my home.

Speaker 4 (13:39):

you are making a difference. Please, mister Carter, continue to
do what you're doing by providing these services. We really

I think that's a great way to end the show.
Before we let you guys go, here is a word
