Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
This is Joseph Bonner and welcome to another amazing show
with us. On the program today we have author and
founder of Universe Poems, Carol Natasha da Vinni.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
She is here to talk to us about her upcoming
book as well as some international campaign.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
She is working on to really spread awareness on mental health,
as well as telling us exactly what she is doing
in twenty twenty two to build beneath of all of
you out there. So this give Carol a warm welcome
to the show.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Carol, welcome. How are you doing today?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Hi, Joseph, not too bad, thank you, But.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
We're super excited to have you on the program today.
We know it's super late where you are because you're
in London and we're in Cali over here, so we're
in a bit of a different time crunch here. We
appreciate you staying up late to do this interview, though you.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Are more the welcome looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Well, tell us a little bit about Universe Poems and
what your company is doing right now.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Well, twenty twenty two has been a very busy start
to the year for Universe Poems, but it's been very
enjoyable and very productive.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
At the beginning of.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
The year, I've actually devised the Poetry Bears Picnic, which
is an awareness day that will take place on the
twentieth of August, an International Awareness Day, and in order
for people to take part, all they have to do
is have a fun picnic and create some poetry. So
that's one of the new ventures of Universe Poems. The

(01:33):
second is the Poetry and Drama workshops, where we've crossed
over the arts with poetry and drama and that's been
very well received within England and London. I've also devised
the Miniscript writing service and that has also been very
well received. So we've got some great ventures there. All
information is on the website. But the highlight I would

(01:58):
say of creating and devising is something called mems Pose
and mems Pose I decided to devise and create this
because there is in society a very high prevalence and
deficit of men in terms of self expression, which leads

(02:23):
to high rates of suicide. Only recently has the Official
Office of Statistics in England undertaken some research and found
that over four eight hundred men compared to one three
hundred women are at.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
High risk of suicide.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Also, the Samaritan Charity, which is in England but also
has many connections internationally, has also recently done some research
and found that men between the ages of forty five
to forty nine there is a high trend of suicidal rate.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Well, that is some very staring statistics.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
So tell me a little about what you're doing with
men's poles, like what exactly is that and how are
you helping to you know, curb those statistics.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Well, Men's Pose is going to be an international day
of awareness that supports men to express themselves feeling good
and looking good. And the reason that this was created
was because there was a gentleman who created an authentic
pose through a photograph which clearly showed self expression, feeling good,

(03:37):
looking good, and encompass holistic health.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
It ignited those things in a sense the.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Photograph and that is where creating and devising Men's Post
came from. Memes also has a longstanding history in business
management but also now runs a family business which supports
and serves the community.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Okay, so for this international day, you know, this day
of awareness, what exactly are you going to be encouraging
men to do on this particular day, or how are
you encouraging them to express themselves on this day?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
On this particular day, in order to take part in
the International Men's Post Awareness Day, men will have to
undertake self expression in a positive way.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Now.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
That could be meeting up with some friends. It could
be having a conversation with family and friends. It could
be going for a walk. It could be an aromatherapy massage.
It could be something as simple as cooking your favorite
dinner or taking a break from your work and your
business management day.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
It sounds very healthy and it's very very needed with
everything going on in the world today. It sounds extremely necessary,
especially considering the times living and so I love to
hear that you're undertaking this. Do you have any idea
when this day is going to be?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Is it coming up?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I will be posting that information about when the day
will be.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
But we're looking for this to take place towards the
ending of September. I think when we come out of
summer and we all move into that autumn period, it
can be a time where people are feeling quite stressed,
quite low. It's moving into the transition of autumn then winter.
So at the ending of the day. That's why that
time was chosen because we feel it would be a

(05:31):
great time to inspire men to feel good, look good,
and to express themselves in order. And also, once people
have taken part, they can send us their photographs and
we will upload them to the Universe Pome's website and
post them out. But bear in mind if you do
send your photographs, you're giving a state a consent to
use them and we will send you a certificate of

(05:51):
participation of taking part in the day.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
I really like that.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
I like the concept, I love the I love the
purpose of the event as well, and you know, let
us know here what we can do to support you
on that.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
It's a fantastic initiative.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Not a lot of people are talking about mental health
as it relates to just men specifically, so I love
the fact that you're focusing on that.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
So fantastic.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And obviously, you guys can always keep up on everything
Universe Poems is doing by going to their website.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
That's Universe poems dot co dot uk. That's Universe Poems
dot co dot uk.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
And not to transition so much from this topic, but
I love what you're doing and I know that you
have a new book coming out, you know, can you
tell us a little about that.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Well, all I'm going to say in relation to the
book is it definitely encompasses nature. And I think you'll
have to wait and see because I don't want to
give too much away, but it definitely encompasses nature and
it's something very special.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
What we love that is, do we have a date
coming up where we can anticipate this drop?

Speaker 4 (07:01):
This is the very near futures. We're talking about a
week or two.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Oh wow, that's a very very near future exactly.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
A lot of work has gone into it. So yes,
very happy to be at this stage. Definitely, Joseph, it
is exciting.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
That is exciting, you know, especially that you put a
lot of your heart into your work and it shows
not only in what you're doing at Universe Poems, but
also what you're helping others to do.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
I really helping people to.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Just connect with themselves mentally and emotionally. So I really
love this and I'm actually excited to kind of see,
you know, what you're inspiring people to do now with nature.
So I'm really really curious. This is going to be exciting.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
It's definitely exciting.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
And another thing I wanted to let everyone else know,
is you actually have a cover feature coming out in
the Legend magazine. Now everybody knows Legend magazine.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
That's my baby.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
You know, we've come far since twenty fifteen and covered
everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Taylor Swear And it's so
excited Carol that you're now a part of this conglomerate
of a powerful women who have been raised on the cover. So,
first of all, huge congratulations. Can you tell us at
about what we can expect from that kind of it
from that interview? Now, obviously don't give us the details,

(08:15):
but this isn't exclusive, But you know, what are we
going to expect it for you to drop in that
interview there?

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Well, I think what you'll expect is to see somebody
who is very organized, somebody who is very meticulous, somebody
who's very passionate, somebody who is very inspiring to myself
and to other people, and somebody who encompasses nature into

(08:43):
their everyday life.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
But definitely a very strong woman.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Absolutely, well that that definitely definitely is the case. You
are definitely a powerful woman, and we're looking forward to
that interview dropping you guys. That is March fifteen, twenty
twenty two. Men, make sure you guys pick up the
latest copy of Legend magazine. Super excited to have you
in that, Carol. Now let's go on to our next
talking point before we let you go. Is we know

(09:09):
that Universe Poems has been dedicated and committed really to
empowering people internationally, but obviously they're specifically in London as
well to speaking.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
What's on their heart.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
But also you're also helping professionals craft and holne their
skills in the world of poetry as well. So can
you tell us what need your company is filling in
twenty twenty two, Well.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
The needs that Universe Poem Universe Poems is feeling in
twenty twenty two. Is that in twenty twenty, twenty twenty one,
and still presently in twenty twenty two, there is zero
percent of any other company or service that provides unique
poetry art that is authentic written Nelly every day and

(09:50):
post it out to inspire people. There's nothing of its
kind and this is demonstrated through interaction to the website.
It's also demonstrated in the success of the trending poetry
very regularly, and it's also demonstrated in the comments that
people make on the poetry in the work, but paramount

(10:11):
to that the views that the poetry gets on a
daily basis. We're not talking hundreds, we're talking thousands of
people internationally because the poetry is also on Hello Poetry,
which is American started by Elliot York many years ago,
and that is obviously open to the public, So the
poetry is viewed worldwide by thousands of people daily.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Well that's not a surprise to me because obviously you've
been known us for a while, so you're really good
at what you do what you do, and it's nice
to see that people are recognizing that in engaging with
your work as well. I'm definitely a professionals professional and
I love the fact that you're doing it in the
creative art world because I really feel that we need

(10:54):
more champions in the field of creative art to really
again help people to start connecting with them reconnecting with themselves.
And I love again what you're doing with men. Suppose
that day that's going to be very, very exciting, But
we always love having you on the show.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Carey.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
You are a breath of fresh air and inspiration and
I'm confident that as your interview drives and your book
comes out in a couple of weeks, it's going to
be again more inspiration. Can you tell us anything else
that you'd like to add before we let you know?

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Well, I just want to touch on a point that
you've just raised, Joseph. In terms of the arts, we've
got to remember poetry is one of the seven to
fine arts that's still historically present today, and it's very
important within our communities at the ending of the day
that we maintain diversity and equality across the field of

(11:46):
the arts and poetry. I feel before universe poems actually
get push to the side, it's seen us old fashioned
and always talking about poetry. Universe poems is the new
age of poetry in the twenty first century, and I
truly want.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
To see this.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
In our communities of people engaging although they are already
and realizing that poetry being one of the seven fine arts,
the benefits that they can actually and the rewards from
engaging or writing or reading the poetry that's actually produced.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I think that's fantastic, and I just this is just
a random question. I know, back in the days, there
used to be this website that I used to love
when I was younger. I was like around eighteen nineteen
years old. That was back in the days when I
used to write a lot of poetry and there was
this website where you could actually hop online and you
can like submit poems online and post your website a
poster palm rather online on this particular site. I can't

(12:47):
remember what the fit is card I forgot. I have
no idea where those poems are to this day, But
do you do something like that as well?

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Well?

Speaker 4 (12:55):
I always encourage people to make contact with Universe Poems
and to submit to anything they want to. We actually
have an expression writing template which I've devised and created
on the Universe Poems website, so people can actually express
themselves in any format tho. So choose whether that's a
single word, whether that's a line, or whether that's a
paragraph of poetry, and feel free to send it to us.

(13:17):
We are always open to receiving people's expression.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
I love in that way.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
So I think I will also say as well that
Hello Poetry is actually a fantastic writing community that's very inspirational,
and people can also post their work there, but also
you can send it to us directly.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Well, I think that's absolutely phenomenon.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
I think what you're doing is amazing and I think
you're right something as you said during the interview kind
of made me think because I do remember, you know,
twenty years ago poetry was a lot more common as
a form of expression than as a form of you know,
as a positive outlet, and it has become somewhat of
a taboo now. You know, you don't really hear too

(14:03):
much about it. So I really love that you're trying
to get people back to those those basics that fine
art again, as you said, So thank you again for
taking this initiative, and thank you for all you do
there at Universe Poems.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
You are needed, definitely, thank you. Well.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
We loved always having you as a guest on the show.
You know you are always welcome as a guest here
on the show. Please don't be a stranger. And before
we let you guys go at home here here is
a word from our partners.
