Speaker 1 (00:00):
Move on, Move on.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Moving on to the game of the night here the
Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Baltimore Ravens. Scroll down to
the end of my notes here, and guys, do Ravens
have officially locked in their playoff spots for the twenty
twenty four NFL playoffs?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Now?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
They still do have a chance to win the ASC
North with the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. But let's
not worry about the North ride now, Mark, Let's worry
about the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
How dangerous are the Baltimore Ravens in this year's playoffs?
Can they make an ASC championship game again? Or are
they a first round exit like the Houston Texans? Mark,
what are your initial thoughts?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I think they're gonna go far. I think the three
teams you gotta watch out for is always this Kansas City, Buffalo,
and the Ravens. Like those three teams, you never know
what they're gonna do once they get there. I see
all them going far, Like, but you never know. Lamar
doesn't have a good record in the playoffs, like you
always say, Like, I don't think you're a hater. I
think you're just stating facts that he's not good in
the playoffs, and all these people who love Lamar can't

(00:59):
see that. Until he actually wins some playoff games, then
we might put a crown on his head, you know.
But until then, I'm not gonna do that. So I
just think that you gotta watch out for all three
of those teams no matter what.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah, and many of those haters will say, oh, he
made the championship championshipship hip game last year.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
He won one playoff game. Let's just call it a
space of space. He won one playoff game last season.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
But when you look at the Baltimore Ravens, guys, they
are a team that is a very very powerful team.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Let's just be honest.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
They are a very very good offensive threat of team.
Their first overall in offense, their third and passing on
the offensive side, ah the ball, and their second in
rushing and Derrek Kenry what had like two hundred yards
to ted to day ran all over the Pittsburgh seel
It's fourth Ranke runs rush stopping defense right. The offense
is the real deal. The defense, however, mark for the

(01:52):
Baltimore Ravens have been the defense. The defense has been
the issue all season long, but the last few weeks
they have been stepping up and to they made some
timely turnovers. Right, the tackle with like with like Rush's
long run like thirty some yard run, Rush tried to come,
cut it back and get into the end zone, fumble

(02:12):
and then the pick six. Right, their defenses just mean,
it's not very good, but but it made some timely
turnovers today, which is key for the playoffs. When you
look at their defense, there are seventeenth ranked defense overall,
thirty first ranked pass defense, but they're the number one
ranked rush defense. And Mark, I know you mean, you
haven't done a show for very long, and you're you know,

(02:35):
you're like a part timer. But the keys to winning
a championship is to running the ball and playing defense.
If you cannot rush the ball versus a bad Baltimore
Ravens defense and they're running all over you, the Baltimore
Ravens could legit make a nice little run in the
playoffs despite Lamar Jackson's crappy play and the end of

(02:55):
the playoffs, they can legit upset the Houston Texans. It
would be an upset and in my eyes, because the
fourth place or the fifth fifth seeded team play in
the fourth sacate the team that is an upset and
then if everything holds face the Ravens would then come
to Arrowhead and play the Chiefs in in the divisional round.
And if they can beat the Kanca Chiefs at Arrowhead

(03:18):
by the playing the ball that they do, the Buffalo
Bills do not stand at Stan and stand a chance.
And the Ravens couldn't make a Super Bowl run if
they get past the Kansa Chiefs, So they are dangerous
if they can get past the divisional round.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Can they?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Though, that's the real question mark. Can the can the
Ravens get past the Kanca Chiefs in the divisional round
if they were to.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Play, That's the big question.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Man. I think out of all the years that Lamar
has gonna go up against Mahomes, I think this is
gonna be his best shot. Like him having Derrick Henry
to be that one two punch with him is killer,
like it kind of showed today against the Steelers. But
I think a lot of what today was I'm not
saying I'm not taking any credit away from the Ravens,

(04:03):
but I think the Steelers are on I never I've
always thought the Steelers are for gazy. I'm sorry, but
I think they are. I think Russe's vugze. He's really
showed his true colors. Like like I told you, like
if he doesn't have a run game, he can't do shit.
Sorry I shouldn't say that, but he can't do anything,
like he needs that to be successful, and like it
showed it here in Denver and that's why we got

(04:24):
rid of him. And the Steelers think that he can
be this savior there and he's not gonna be. So
the Ravens just took advantage over a team that's declining.
But I think Ravens are still really good. I just
think this was more about Steelers being bad and the
Ravens being good.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, just after your point there.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Uh, the Steelers defense, the secondary right now is very
very thin, right. They had Joey Porter Junior go down
with a caff or ankle injury early in that third
in that third quarter, so the the Baltimore Ravens were
really able to exploit that and that's kind of when
they started to I think that's when they gained the
lead and they extend into the lead to the thirty

(05:01):
one two was seventeen was the final score if I'm
not miss staken. However, I made a Facebook comment or
a Facebook post during that game, and I'm saying, sorry, guys,
but Lamar Jackson is not your MVP. And your boy,
our boy, Wayne G Is like, yeah, he is not
the MVP because he does not have a number one receiver.

(05:23):
And then me and Wayne and G started going back
and forth because you know, he loves Lamar.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
He he loves him some Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I'm the Lamar Jackson hater, right yeah, he and like
I have said this many many times, and people just
do not understand this, but people always have blames for
they have excuses of why Lamar Jackson loses.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Does it have a number one receiver? Keefens is not
very good, not a running round.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I don't even back this, this and this, But when
he wins, it is all Lamar Jackson, Lamar Jackson the
greatest thing since ever. He doesn't need a number one receiver.
He doesn't need this, this and this and this. So
when during mine and Wayne G's interaction, I said, but
the Ravens do have a number one receiver. Zay Flowers
is a number one receiver, and they're like and then

(06:13):
Wayne comes back and like he says that, well, he
is no Jamar Chase, he is no j J and
he is no Tyreek Hill. I'm like, well, pause, none
of those guys are. Those guys are complete outliers. Those
guys are complete crazy specimens.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Those guys are elite.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
But hear me out.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
If you put Jay Flowers with Joe Burrow, he's probably
putting up Jamar Chase no no, no, no, no, no no no, no,
no numbers. You you put Zay Flowers and a Kevin
Kevin O'Connor system in Minnesota, he's putting up jj no numbers.
So the question that I want to ask you, Mark,
is Zay Flowers the number one.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Receiver for them?

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Yes? I think, Like I said, dude, this is their
best their best roster that they've accumulated in, which was
really surprising that their defense is so bad because Ravens
have always been known for their defense, so it's really
weird that their team is totally switched now and it's
more of an offensive team than it's ever been a
defensive team. So maybe that's what they're thinking. It's gonna
help them win.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yes, I mean this is I mean, obviously the Ravens
are a good team. The defense is getting better, offense
is fantastic. Ravens, the Ravens are just not an elite
team yet, right because it's it's it's it's.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Kind of like what have you done? Not? Or sorry,
what can you do? Not?

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Of what have you done? And right now they are
just the fifth seed in the NFC team right. So
so guys, let me ask the question for the people
down there in the comments below. Are the Ravens a
dangerous team and the playoffs? And John says one word
simply put, extremely extremely dangerous. Okay, but then John wants

(07:54):
to preface this is dangerous with Derrick Henry, so us.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Like they did today. They got to feed him, dude,
Like the last few games before this they weren't doing that.
They needed then they need to use him to close
out games. That's what That's why they brought him in,
Like that's what will help them.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yeah, just to add to your point, in the games
that they have lost this season, Derrick Henry has touched
the ball zero won twice in one time in zero
times in those losses in the fourth quarter, So fresh
legs whatever, I don't care, use him and abuse him.
You brought him in there. So Mark, let me ask
you this question. People in the chat as well. We

(08:28):
don't wish injuries at all. I don't want to, Like
I gotn't want to wish that evil on anybody, Ricky, Bobby.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
But but don't you put that evil on me.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
If the Ravens do not have Derrick Henry in the postseason,
are they still dangerous?

Speaker 3 (08:43):
No? They need Derick Henry, dude. Like I feel like
a lot of their success this year was because of
Derrick Henry. And the reason I can say that is
because I've had him on my fantasy all year and
he's been killing it. So if you've been killing it
for me, he's been killing it for them. So it's
like he is. He is a huge piece to their success.
I said this last year that they should have traded
for him. I don't know why they didn't, and I

(09:04):
don't know why Dallas didn't try to trade for him.
That's like Anadian move by Jerry Jones, Like he could
be doing this in Dallas, Like why wouldn't even they
have done that. They made that move, So I'm really
glad to see that he's there. But like I said,
the only way they win is if they use him right,
and they feed him in the fourth quarter, and.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I'm want to take it one step further because obviously
you have Derrek Henry, you want to use him and
like abuse him. But the reason why the Ravens lost
to the Canca Sheets last year in the ANC Championship
Ship game wasn't because they didn't have Derrick Henry. It
was because they ran the ball twelve times. It was
because they passed the ball fifty some odd times. That

(09:43):
is not a recipe for winning for any team. I
don't care if it's the CANCA Chiefs or the Baltimore
Ravens or the New York freaking Jars.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
If you're passing the ball fifty plus times in a
game and rushing get under ten, you're not gonna win.
So you definitely just have to use Derek Kennry like
I get to use running backs period. But obviously having
Derrick Henry Mark does does help a lot, right Alpha
Robbin a beast? Yeah, yeah, he is what two hundred
yards a day? He just I don't know, just crazy,

(10:10):
my little my little man, he's four. We had a
basketball game earlier to touch two I day and uh,
he forgot to dribble the ball. He cuffs the basketball
like he's running the ball, and he takes like six kids.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
All right, see you.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
But so we're gonna be doing that now, all right.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
So no one we're watching Derrick Henry.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
But uh alpha alpha Alpha Rob says, the Bills will
beat Jackson and Mahomes and Allen will take his crown
and be the best ASC quarterback.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
That's what I've been saying.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I think Josh Allen already is the best quarterback in
the AFC.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I'm just but he needs the championship to prove it
to everybody else.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Why why do you think championships.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
It's all about you remember winners. You don't remember losers.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Bucket, Yeah, but I also remember a six six, two
hundred pound guy trucking linebackers as a quarterback. Like, come on,
Josh Allen is already the best quarterback in the AFC.
Uh Nacho says, I I never on the Ravens game
because you never know what you are going to get
from week to week bases, I think I think he's

(11:17):
trying to say I never bet on a Ravens game
because you never know what's going to get on a
week to week basis, which which is true right, which
is honestly which is true with with with with like
a lot of teams, the really the only staples from
weekend to week out so far this season have been
the Kansae Chiefs, the Detroit Lions, and the Buffalo Bills,
and and of course now the like the or since
like week week week week five, you know what you're

(11:40):
gonna get. You have to play up to up to
their standards or they're just gonna blow you out. So
it is what it is. Jim said, I've seen the
Ravens run game hitting today, But will Henry's fall off?
And but what but but will Henry's wheels take the beating?

Speaker 3 (11:59):
I mean, I think that why they didn't use him
so much the last few games. I think they're like
trying to rest him. They're like, Okay, we're gonna really
needed for the playoffs, so let's let him like chill out,
and then we're gonna ramp him up again. So MIT's
why they maybe they had he had a game today
like and now I'm afraid that because they got their
seed locked up, it's gonna kill my fantasy championship if
they if they rested him like I need Henry to
feed feed Henry. Please come on, give Henry the ball.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
So I think they're gonna feed Henry the ball because
I think they want that that AFC nor title, right,
I mean.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Honestly, let's just walk hard.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Let's just watch watch Hard Knocks on Tuesday and see
what the mindset is for the Ravens going into this
in the next week. But I but I think they're
they're definitely gonna try to win win that win that division.
W B s says the only two people who who
can stop the Ravens is John Harball and Andy Reid.

(12:50):
And honestly, I'm not for sure if the KNC Chiefs
could could legitimately stop the Ravens the way they played today.
I mean, yes, the Chiefs defense has has been pretty
top notch, except for the last two weeks have been
kind of coming back down to reality a little bit.
But the biggest achille heel for the Ravens is the

(13:12):
coaching staff, is the play calling is John Harball. You're
absolutely right, absolutely right, uh, Josh says. I think the
Ravens and Eagles were both equally great teams right right now,
and like Jim's and then Jim says, that's an eighty
mile super Bowl Ravens versus Eagles.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
That would be tough, wouldn't it. That would be a
good game. I think would be a good game.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
I think so too that that that's a matchup I
didn't even think of that.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Would that would That would be a hour and eight
minute super Bowl. So all those people that are buying
super Bowl ads will be like out of sol because
they don't have enough TV time to time. I'm outs
because it'll be rushing left, rushing right like I mean,
it would be a very very boring, uh super Bowl
for those average fans, right. Jedi says, all right, Texans

(14:00):
cry the rest wah wah wah exactly exactly. That is
what that That is what all our Facebook posts have
been saying, rest rest, rest, rest rests. Let's go ahead
and go down to rest. These comment see what the
people are gonna get. Nacho says, you never know what's
gonna go to get from from the Ravens. Uh exactly.
Jim says, do we really want someone like Flowers displaying

(14:21):
the servants type receivers who are so good and act
like Dennis Rodman means Zay Flowers did punch. It was
it the Kancy Chiefs player last year, and they got
the personal foul that kind of basically lost them the
game too.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I don't know, it's just it's just kind of.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
So justin Jefferson's Dennis Rodman. Is that Is that what
I'm getting?

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I'm not for sure. I don't know, but let's
