Speaker 1 (00:00):
Shocked everybody Wednesday night because late Wednesday night, the Jacksonville
Jaguars and the Cleveland brown swap quarterbacks in a move
that caught most people off the guard. Let's just be honest.
Tyson Campbell is heading to Cleveland and Greg Newsom the
second is heading to Jacksonville, with some late round twenty
twenty six picks thrown into even out the deal. So

(00:21):
let's break this one down because this trade actually says
a lot about where both of these franchises are headed
in the twenty twenty five NFL season.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
So here's how it went down.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
The Jaguars sent Tyson Campbell in a twenty twenty six
seventh round pick that they originally got from the Eagles
to the Browns in exchanged for Greg Newsom to the
second or twenty twenty six sixth round pick originally from the.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
New York Football Jets.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Sample enough on paper, right, but this move goes way
way deeper than just a player swap. Greg Newsom is
a twenty twenty one first round pick. This is the
final year of his rookie year, playing on that thirteen
point three to eight million dollars fifth year option. Meanwhile,
Campbell just a four year, seventy six point five minutillion
dollars extension this past offseason with fifty three of a

(01:05):
million dollars of it guaranteed guaranteed does Joe. So that
right there tells you everything you need to know. Jacksonville
wanted to shed a future franchise burden and get a
player who fists their new defense and identity under Anthony Cappanelli.
From the jag side, this trade was sategic. I see

(01:26):
that right, strategic. Campbell has battled injuries over the last
couple of seasons, hands, string, shoulder, thigh, and even when
he's inhealthy, he's been struggling to return that twenty twenty
two Pro Bowl Cali reform. Now the jack GM James
Gladstone said this wasn't a retal move. He made it
clear we think Greg knew some hellss win football games
right now. This tells me, guys, the Jacksonville Jaguars are

(01:48):
in a win now mode. They think they can win
the AC South. They think they can go to the
Super Bowl right now.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
With that being said, they are leaving the AFC South
right now. Their defense has been strong but in insistent
as of late and now They added guy k Newsom,
who plays with more vision and fits better than that
zone heavy look. They shed Campbell's big deal, free of
some calf flexibility down the road, and get a corner
who's hungry to prove himself in a new system. But

(02:15):
now let's look at the Cleveland Browns side. The Browns
have been aggressive this past week. They traded Joe Flacco
to the Bengals woop. We talked about hear that in
a little bit again, added left tackle cam Er Roberson,
and now bringing in Tyson Campbell. This move makes sense
for a couple of seasons. They're betting on talent, simple
as that Campbell is twenty five and at his best
he is a true number one corner. Cleveland believes in

(02:38):
his believe that in Jim Schwartz defense, where corners are
trusted to play press and attack routes, Campbell can return
to his twenty and ty two Pro Bowl form. Newsom
was also set to be a free agent after the season.
Instead of losing him for nothing, they flipped him for
a guy already under contract through twenty twenty eight. So
both teams got what they wanted. The Jaguars get a
cheaper scheme, scheme fit guy with upside. The Browns got

(03:00):
long term piece with the premium position. This is actually
the second trade between these two teams in six months.
We remember when Jacksonville Jaguars moved up to moved moved
moved up with Cleveland back in April to grab Travis
hundred and second overall pick.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
There's clearly a strong lot of.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Communication between these two front offices and both seems that
to be in the mindset we're not winning around. Gladstone
even said this might be the jaguars last move before
or may not be the last movie with the Jaguars
before November four Tradeline and I believe them. Jacksonville was
pushing to lock up the AC South early, while Cleveland
is trying to stay alive in a brutal ac North

(03:35):
that beating each other up weekly. So, guys, here's my
Hono's take. For the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is a smart
football move. They save money, they approve scheme fit, and
they stay aggressive in a season where they look like
they're legit AOC contenders. Now for the Browns, this is
a pure gamble. Campbell has talent, no doubt about it,

(03:57):
but his health has been an issue and losing a
verse just tell a guy like Greg Newsom, especially when
you're already shorthanded in the secondary, could bite them in
the butt early and often. But I'll say this, both
teams made food that fit their current direction. Jacksonville is
viliting for a playoff push and Cleveland is retooling on
the fry. So I'm gonna throw this to you, guys,
man our nation. Who won this trade? Jacksonville Jaguars or

(04:21):
the Cleveland Browns? Was it the Jaguars getting a cleaner scheme,
cheaper fit in Greg Newsom or the Browns locking in
long term corner in Tyson Campbell. Guys, start your thoughts
in the comics down below. This is live and after show.

Thursday at nine pm East Coast time right here at
YouTube dot com. Now, let's get into the comments and
let's discuss your thoughts.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Baby.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
First things first, as Will's says, the Chiefs are winning
on Sunday and a Half football. I want to agree
with you. But we'll talk about the later, Michael Mike Melo.
Mike says, be real, the Texas and lost games to
the team they should have beaten in years past, just Titans, Falcons, Panthers.
Those two weeks, we did not what we were supposed
to dominate inferior teams.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Not wrong, Mello.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Mike says, the best part of Domico turn play calling
over to Matt Burke was a CEO coach, pre stat
piloties and game manager. It has improved. We're not talking
about the Texas anymore. We talked about them yesterday. A
lot Jackquires have faded when jumped out into the early division.
Indy hasn't faced a legit defense, texting our team you
wanted to play early while they figure things out. Titans,

(05:38):
nobody remembers them, true. Will Lolson said the Jags defense
has the most takeaways in the league with fourteen. Will,
You are exactly right, Matt. Matter of fact, I think
in the first five games so far this season, this
is the first team ever to have multiple takeaways in
the first five games of the regular NFL season.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
That is tough. That is tough. That is tough. That
is tough.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
James Frank says, Hmmm, I like Greg, but I'm all
right with Campbell coming over. He can be nice with
Denzel Ward. Listen, the Browns defense could be very, very nice.
Yet again, they could be very because we've seen him
play decent football. James Verst thegree By Packers back to

(06:30):
what week three? Right? Week three or week four? Whatever
whatever it was? They have a when they play well,
the Browns are a pretty good team. I like the change, However,
can they afford it long term because they're gonna have
to move around a lot of salary cap to really
makes his work because they're already over the cap as is.

(06:50):
Miles Garrett's way overpaid. Let's just be honest, bister. I
want out, but oh money's here. Okay, I'll stay here,
Push you'll have a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Mellon.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Mike says Gladstone is the GM on that chat GPT bullshit,
not wrong, not wrong, I guess Mela. Mike says Newsom
is better than Campbell. Jags won the deal. I think
Greg Newsom has a lot to prove, right. Greg Newsom
is that type of player that is on a contract year.

(07:23):
And when players are on contract years, they like to
ball out. They like to show no mercy, show no
uh uh, what's the world. I'm looking for pain and
at like they are out there. However, what I'm worried
about as my chair starts to break, I need to
get a new one, damn it. As we see a
lot of these players that get paid. When they get

(07:47):
paid ja Jerius Need is one of them, their performance
goes down really really quick. They start working hard, right,
They're like, I got that deal, I got those done
out of bills, y'all. But then they're like, I'm not
gonna try so hard. Ostin'sn't work out, not so much. Oh,
this injuryies a little bit worse than I thought it was.
That is what I'm worried about with great Newsiman and

(08:08):
the Jacksonville Jaguars, Right, Greg Newsom the second, That's what
I'm worried about, And James says, do it's gonna get
mad at newsom celebrations after a QB clearly overthrows the
wide receivers and he thinks he did something. Hey, James,
I will never ever be mad at a defensive player

(08:30):
celebrating offense as miscues when an offensive quarterback overthrows you
by fifteen yards and great newsm is locking him down,
kicking the door, whatever he's gonna do. Celebrate that, baby.
Let the offense knows that they suck. Let him know
that this suck over and over and over again. Because
when you have a concrete defense and you pick up

(08:54):
my man west Sexton from elite concrete foundation and he
lays that concrete floor for you and it is a
solid concrete and you celebrate it, let him know, Let
him know, let him know, Let him know, especially, let
him know that Buck shins you take something.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Let the bills Joe oh Man rivers in the chat.
Pig skin gets what up old man.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
River, It says met of Mike, think about this. Campbell
was traded to justify the Travis Hunter pick. Newsom is
a slot corner. Hunter is a new cornerback. One didn't
earn that job. I will concur with you on this.
I think Travis Hunter, Travis Hunter is a better defensive

(09:39):
player than offense. And I think by justifying this move
for a slot corner that great new something. Those are
your words, not mine. I don't know if he's really
a slot corner. He's just kind of a the guy, right,
But if you want to call him a slot corner. Yes,
justify it. I think Travis Hunter would cant be elite

(10:00):
if he chooses one side of the ball, or I
mean not if he chooses one side. If the coazy
staff in Jacksonville makes him choose one side of the ball,
he's gonna be receiver, he's gonna be quarterback. Then he
can be elite. But right now he's just gonna be
in the middle of the pack. Average player. That's just
what it is.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
What it is, what it is. James Frak says, Newsom
will get gets torched a lot. Trust me, the seasons
He's played all right, but still gives up a lot. James,
higher risk Kyrie Ward, baby, high risk hy reward. If
I'm going for the ball and I miss it, that's
what you party naked. But when I go get that

(10:36):
ball and I've taken from you and then I lock
you down, that's game changing.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Baby. So what do you want? Do you want to
be good or you want to be average, or do
you want to be great in elite?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Think about that. I want to be great and elite.
I want Greg Newsom to those highri risk Kyrie Ward plays.
Hell yeah, Brandon says, helloel Mike, you here too. Listen, Brandon,
welcome back. I think you were here yesterday, right, Welcome back, Melo.
Mike is here when he wants to talk to about

(11:10):
the Houston Texans. He should have been here yesterday, but
he is everywhere. He says, he is everywhere, and Brandon says,
no way. The Jazz can play their guys now. Trevion Walker,
Devin Lloyd Newsome, Anton Harrison, Strange all need to get paid, baby,

(11:30):
They do need to get paid. However, there are three
teams that had over one hundred million dollars in castpaces
before the NFL season started. That was the Jacksonville Jaguars,
that was the Las Vegas Raiders, and I believe it
was the Seattle Seahawks if I'm not mistaken. I don't
have the numbers right in front of me, but there
were three teams that had over that one hundred million
dollar cast base. Jaguars got room to pay some players.

(11:53):
Trevor Lawsy just should go off the pot time, as
simple as that, because he's not gonna get paid if
he keeps playing this average ball off he played like
he did on Monday night, baby.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
We coming. He going in the moon, Babby. But they
got money, They got money.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
All Members says Jaguars may take over the division Texans
of they keep playing like this. Guys, you understand that
the Cults are the cream with a carp Right now,
you understand the cultu are sitting at four and one.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Right now, you understand the Colts are going to the
super Bowl, Babby.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Right now, you gotta overtake yourselves before you even think
about first place, because once you get second place, you do.
They used to look up to the Colts like coats.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Daddy. Can I come up there and hang out with
you kessing on the couch with your daddy.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
As you guys know, I'm dog in the Inneapolis Colts
because last night I said they're not a super Bowl team.
They're gonna fall off the face of their coming coming
very very soon, brad It says Heinz, Allen and Lawrence
were already paid. Lawrence was paid what two years ago?
Right three years ago? His contra is coming up, His
contract's coming up, hines Allen. I'm not for sure what

(13:04):
his contract's at, but if I'm a betman, heins Alan
better get paid for Trevor Lawris does again for the
second time around. I'm not for sure what Trevor Lawres's
contract is. I think he's on his thirty year right,
fourth year. I'm not for sure after being extended, So
correct me if I'm wrong, Because I had not been
following Jack Jaguars as closely the last couple of years.

(13:27):
But since their talking about news right and that was
great Newsome, we got talking about him. Bellow Mike says. However,
the JAG's paid over for Hansen imitation at quarterback Oom
Bob bombob. They did Google's Daniel Jones. You can google

(13:47):
Danie Jones all you want. Daniel Jones earned his out
of out of Bill Jell. He earned that money. It's
not his fault that Johns are like, we don't need
Sha Kwan Barkley, we don't even we don't need a defense.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
That's not his fault.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
That it's not his fault that he played at an
MVP level and then got it done down. The Bill
Jones and the teams like, oh, we don't need anybody

Speaker 2 (14:08):
But a player that
