A sus 16 años y por motivos de seguridad Angélica Martínez emigró con su madre a Roma en calidad de asiladas políticas. Lo que se suponía que serían 5 años sin poder salir de Italia se convirtieron en 12 años; debido a la burocracia y la ineficiencia de los procesos en ese país. Para Angélica eso ha significado mucho, no solo verse obligada a reconstruirse en plena adolescencia; sino vivir pensando cómo sería su vida en Colombia, un amor que aún no ha sido posible. Han pasado 22 años desde que salió de Bogotá, ha vivido en 6 países diferentes y ha aprendido 4 idiomas nuevos, pero Colombia sigue siendo un interrogante en su vida.
