Ms. Johnson is an advocate for abuse and domestic violence and a paralegal with West Tennessee Legal Services. If you know someone in a situation of domestic violence or abuse, they need your support – and that may mean just being an ear to listen and not judge them if they continue to stay. While it can be frustrating, your understanding or friendship may be what is getting them through the day. If your loved one’s life is in danger, you must intervene and call the local authorities.
