Speaker 3 (01:06):
Welcome everybody to another episode of the NSC Wrestling and
Gaming Podcast. I am your host, Big C, here to
talk to you about a bunch of things. First and foremost,
we had the passing of a legend. Now, whether you
like him or not, whether you agree with his personal views,
(01:29):
what he did for the wrestling world cannot be understated.
The man took the wrestling world from a regional promotion
to worldwide and that man is Whole Coogan. Now, obviously
(01:52):
he's under more scrutiny than most of the public people.
I myself have made many mister, and I'm sure that
if I was under a microscope like he was, I
would be the same situation. I have the saying tattooed
(02:14):
on me, and it states every sinner has a future
and every sint has a past, and I definitely agree
with that. Saying so, on that note, I just want
to say thank you to Hullkogan for making my childhood
(02:39):
as great as it was. Okay, enough of the mushy stuff. Now,
let's talk about the other big thing that was going
on San Diego Comic Con. Massive, so massive, three days
four days actually of just unveils. I mean pretty much
(03:05):
every toy manufacturer is at this showing off all new
products coming out in the future, and there's so much
that it would take a week of describing it all.
So as we get onto news, I will talk more
about that. So due to all of that and then
(03:27):
also getting ready for Summer Slam at the beginning of
the month, I've kind of been a little bit laxed,
so I do apologize, but I'm here to give you everything. Now.
We're gonna start off AW Dynamite from the Aragon Ballroom
(03:47):
in Chicago, Illinois. Wheeler Uda looks to seek some retribution
on behalf of former AW champion John Moxley as he
squares off with current AW World champ, an Arc rival
of the Death Riders Hangman Adam Page. The two men
(04:09):
met in the ring during last Wednesday's edition of Dynamite,
when Page, Mark Briscoe and the third of the reigning
AW Worlds Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs, emerged victorious against Udah
Oxley and their stablemate Claudio Castanoli in a six man
(04:35):
tag match as her ally Athena lurks in the shadows
with a contrast for a future shot at the AW
Women's World Championship. Thanks to her victory in the Women's
Casino Gauntlet match at AW All In, Billy Starks will
be returning to the action as she collides with the
(04:58):
reigning AW Women's World Champion Athena. This will mark Stark's
first match on Dynamite since being able to throne Mercedes
Monet on March nineteenth, as well as our first time
competing in the aw A ring since coming up short
(05:22):
against Jamie Hayter on the April twelfth episode of AW
Collision in a quarterfinals match for the twenty twenty five
Women's Own Art Cup tournament. We then see the current
AW World Champ hanging me In making his way to
(05:43):
the ring. Utah blind sides Page with a tope suicide
as he makes his way to the ring and delivers
a forum strike to him off the top. The bell
rings and Page fires off of his right hand on Judah.
(06:05):
He sends him crashing into the barricades and then sends
him crashing into another one of the barricades and dumps
him back into the ring. Page connects with a fallaway
slam on Judah and then follows it up with a
boot to his face and a death valley driver. He
delivered the buckshot layer to Udah for the wind. After
(06:30):
the match, Page spots the chain he brought with him
to the ring. He wraps a chain around his hand
and hits Udah with it, then reins down right hands
on him using the chain and chokes him out with
the chain. FTR and Stoke then make their way to
(06:53):
the ring while jet Speed follows the rings and FTR
wastes no time raining down right hands on Bailey and Knight.
Hardwood and Reeler send Knight crashing out of the ring
and then raining down some more right hands on. Bailey
(07:14):
then sets him up before the shadow machine on him.
Bailey escapes and pins Hardwood, but Hardwood kicks out Bailey
and Knight fly over the top rope to level ftr
on the outside, and Bailey dumps Hardwood back into the ring.
Hardwood responds with a chop to Bailey, then fires off
(07:37):
stops on him in the corner. Bailey and Hardwood exchange
right hands with one another, but Harwood levels Bailey with
a back elbow. Bailey lands a back body drop on
Hardwood and the bottom of the entrance ramp, and Knight
delivers one of his own to Wheeler. Knight and Bailey
(07:58):
double team on Hardwood into the ring. Knight delivers a
splash to Hardwood off the top inside the ring, and
Bailey delivers a moon salt off the ropes to level
Wheeler on the outside. Harwood sends Knight's knee bouncing off
the ring post twice, then rakes his face and cinches
(08:20):
in a figure eight leg lock using the ring post.
Bailey breaks up the submission by firing off rapid fire
kicks on Hardwood's chest, but Wheeler delivers a dragon screw
to Bailey. Harwood delivers a second dragon screw to Knight's
(08:40):
back in the ring and clinches in the sharpshooter as
Wheeler locks one under Bailey on the outside. Night and
Bailey escape but Harwood sits Knights up on the top
rope and joins him up there has Wheeler ascends to
the top and the other side of the Ringwood delivers
a superplex to Night, and Wheeler follows it up with
(09:03):
a crossbody. Billy delivers a shooting start pressed onto Hardwood,
then Knight pins Hardwood, but Harwood kicks out. Bailly slips
out of the way of ftr's path and delivers a
moon salt to them onto the outside over the top rope,
he delivers a pair of flipping knees to Hardwood's back
(09:26):
inside the ring, but Wheeler sends Bailey crashing into one
of the barricades. Bailey sends Wheeler flying over the barricade
and delivers a running crossbody to Lovelim. Back in the ring,
Knight sets up for the UFO splash on Hardwood. Harwood,
though it, gets his knees up and rolls up Night,
(09:49):
but Night kicks out. Hardwood lands a power bomb on Bailey,
but Knight rolls up Hardwood. Harwood kicks out, then pins
n as Hathaway extends him his crutch to hold onto
it for assistance and the win. After the match, Tony
(10:10):
Schavani joins FTR and Hathaway in the ring and says
everyone in ae W knows that he's not a wrestler
and Cope has no business putting his hands on him
last week. But Cope's music hits and makes his way out.
Hathaway reminds Cope that he can't get into the vicinity
(10:31):
of FTR, and Cope says he forgot about that. He
says he made a business deal with some gentlemen and
says they are willing to come to the ring and
do what he can't. He then reveals that the business
of the men he enlist is hurting people. The hurt
(10:55):
syndicates music hits and Bobby Lashley, Shelton, Benjamin MVP make
their way out. MVP shakes Cope's hands, Benjamin and Lashley
fire off right hands on Wheeler and Hartwood. Security and
other officials run down to the ring to try to
separate all four men, but are unsuccessful in doing so.
(11:19):
Lastly sends Wheeler crashing into one of the barricades, but
security finally breaks things up. Inside the ring, Cope looks
to deliver a spirit of Hathaway. Hathaway moves out of
the way and Cope accidentally hits a security guard. We
then see the aerial assassin Will Osprey make his way
(11:43):
to the ring. Chavani asked Osprey about the Death Riders
and Osprey says he wishes he was wrestling in front
of the Chicago crowd tonight. He says he has had
no idea he wasn't going to show up today and
asks for five minutes let everyone know what is going
(12:04):
on with him. He then says he's been struggling with
his neck for about ten months, and while usually medical
staff would have put a stop to things right away,
he's been keeping everyone and everything a secret to get
over the finish line. He says he's made promises to
(12:24):
swear of Strickland, Adam Page and the fans to get
back the AW World Championship. He then says after the
Death Riders attacked him, he found out he had two
herd needed discs that have gotten into his final cord,
but it is treatable. He says he hopefully should be
(12:46):
back before a w and the New Japan Pro Wrestling
Forbidden Door in London, England, and puts the Death Rids
on notice. Strickland then joins as on the entrance ramp
and raises his hand. We then head backstage, where MJF
(13:08):
confronts the Hurt Syndicate about leaving him behind earlier tonight
and not half in his back against Adam Page. Bobby
Lashley goes after MJF and tells them that he wants
him out of the Hurt Syndicate and storms off. Shelton
Benjamin and MVP both shake their heads and leave the
(13:29):

Billy Starks follows and Athena watches on the action from
the balconies with her contract in hand. This is for
the AW World's Women's Championship eliminator match. The bell rings

into a pin of her own. Storm kicks out, but

a Swantan Bomb gets her knees up and clinches in
(15:03):
a sleeper on Starks to tap her out. After the match,
Starks in Storm with the EEW World Championship and tells
Athena to join her in the ring. Athena does so,
but the referee tries to stop Starks. Starks dumps the
(15:26):
referee out of the ring and Athena joins her inside.
She hits Storm with her contract and sends her head
repeatedly bouncing off the ring steps, then lands a running
knee on her and dumps her back into the ring.
Athena hits Storm with a contract once again, and Stark
(15:47):
dumps the referee back into the ring. Athena looks to
cash in her contract, but Alex Windsor's music hits and
she runs down to the ring she rains down rights
on Athena and level starts with a forearm. We then
(16:07):
have swerved Strickland with Prince Nana versus Hencerio with Don Kallas.
The bell rings and the two lock up. Henceria lands
a flapjack on Strickland. Hencerio lands a knee strike on
Strickland into the corner and sends him crashing to the map.
(16:29):
Strickland responds with a forearm too. Hen Serrio off of
the middle rope, then delivers a four to fifty splash
to him and goes for the pit. Hencerio kicks out,
then cinches in a fujiwar arm bar on Strickland and
counters into a pinfall, but Strickland kicks out and hen
(16:52):
Cerio sends Strickland crashing to the map with a Jurgnari.
Strickland ascends to the top rope, but Lance Archer pushes
Nana out of the way and pushes Strickland off the
top rope to cause the disqualification. After the match, Hencerio
an Archer look to continue to beat down Strickland as
(17:16):
the walking weapon. Josh Alexander watches from ringside, but Bandido
and Brody King come to Strickland's aid and brawl with
hen Serrio an archer to the back. Kazusha Okada sneaks
up behind Strickland and hits him with a chair across
the spine, then looks to send him crashing onto it.
(17:38):
Strickland escapes and sends Okada crashing onto the chair with
a headbut then places the chair around his neck. Alexander
and Callous help Okada get out of the ring before
Strickland can do anything else. MJF makes his way to
the ring and says he doesn't need Bobby lash need
(18:00):
to get back the AW World Championship and puts Adam
Page on notice, but Mark Briscoe's music hits and he
makes his way out. He says he wants to face
MJF in the ring and challenges him to a match
next week, but MJF says no and tells Mark that
he has no love lost for him. He continues to
(18:22):
rag on Mark and invokes j Briscoe's name, promoting Mark
to run down to the ring and MJF to subsequently retreat.
We then have Claudio Castanole versus Mark Briscoe the Bell
rings in a two lock up Castanole fires off uppercuts
(18:46):
on Mark, but Mark levels Castanoli with a chop before
he puts him out of the ring over the top rope.
CASTANOLEI responds by sending Mark crashing to the sides of
one of the barricade with a modified version of the swing.
Darby Allen appears in the crowd. Castanoli spots him, opening
(19:10):
the door for Mark to fire off chops on Castanoli
and level him with a back elbow. He follows it
up with an insiguri and a suplex. He then sends
him crashing out of the ring and through the middle
rope with a big boot to him. He then flies
and leaves Mark on the outside and lands a flipping
(19:33):
neck breaker on him off one of the barricades. He
then dumps him back into the ring and it sends
it a top rope. He lands a flying elbow on
Castanole and pins him, but Castanoli kicks out. Castanoli takes

doesn't want the AW World Championship. He says he wants
to make sure no one at AW gets too comfortable.
(20:19):
Page makes his way to the ring and says Moxley
was lying when he said Page doesn't want a Texas deathmatch.
He says Moxley is wrong in saying Page doesn't want
the AW World Championship despite believing it himself. He offers
(20:40):
to put the AW World Championship on the line against
Moxley next week on the condition that everyone is banned
from ringside. Page heads to the back as a death
riders leave through the crowd as the show goes off

as the cameras settles inside the building, Santino Morella's theme
hits and the TNA Director of Authority emerges to get
the show started. Santino addresses the top male and female
(22:55):
titles and TNA being held by NXT stars. He says,
so let me tell you something, brothers and sisters, as
he says it in a clear, not so subtle tip
of the cap to the late Holkster. As he continues
to talk, the entrance tune for Masha Slamovich hits and
(23:18):
the former TNA Knockouts champion makes your way out. Slamovich
settles in the ring and gets on the mic, telling
Santino that she's not out here to thank him or
whatever for his pep talk. She's out here to get
what's rightfully hers. She says, jac Jane stole what should
(23:39):
be here at TNA slam Aiversary. She demands her contractual
obligated rematch next week. Santano green lights it. No off.
She goes as Santino formally announces that Masha Slamovich will
go against Jesse Jane for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
(24:07):
We then see The System Trick Williams and First Class
for Order Ready for War. As Slamovich is headed to
the back, the theme for the System hits and brings
out Moose, JDC, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards and Alicia Edwards.
(24:32):
Eddie shakes hands with Santino and begins first on the microphone.
Eddie says the System fights for what they believe in.
He claims a TNA slam Aniversary they were representing the system.
They are representing the locker room and TNA as a whole.
(24:56):
He says they sent Dark State packing back to the
ww NXT. The crowd cheers and breaks out into another
TNA chant. Eddie talks about doing everything he can for
a long time to help this company. He says there
(25:18):
was a time he held the company down selfishly, but
those days are over. He vows not to let any
outsiders disrespect them. Brian Myers, the most professional wrestler, continues
saying the three letters t NA mean everything to the system.
(25:41):
He says TNA isn't a little pit stop in their
wrestling careers, it's their home. JDC gets a turn on
the stick. Next, he tells Santino if TNA is going
to war, they'll be their soldiers. He hands the mic
(26:01):
to Moose, who brings up accompanying accomplishing almost everything there
is in TNA. At this point in his career, it's
not about titles, it's about building a legacy that makes
his name synonymous with TNA, just like the phenomenal AJ styles.
(26:25):
Moose goes on to give Leons later props once again
for earning the right to call himself the youngest TNA
X Division Champion in the company history. He sees him
taking the division to new heights. He says that brings
him to his next point, the TNA World Championship. He says,
(26:48):
other than calling themselves the face of TNA, and he's
seen many people come and go just like Eddie Edwards
Hash have said the same exact thing, He says. Eddie
is the heart and soul of TNA. He says, they've
(27:09):
been waving the TNA flag and carrying the company on
their backs through thick and thin. Moo says he knows
what he must now do next, as it's easy as
three words. Whoop that trick right on? Cue the drum
(27:31):
roll hits and the theme for the TNA World Champion
Hits outcomes. WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams, accompanied by first Class.
Trick goes on to call out Moose for mumbling his words.
While trying to call him out, he says, to be clear,
(27:56):
this is his house now, I'm the man who took
out the average Joe, He boasts, being the same man
who's also taken out Mike Santana and brought TNA the
largest attendance of all time. He goes on and states
(28:17):
that this is now Trick Na. He tells Moose he
doesn't care if he's on a mission repping the System
or playing for the Detroit Pistons. He can't mess with Trick.
Let's talk about it. Moose tells Trick to wobble his
(28:39):
ass down to the ring with Uncle Phil and Pink
and his System will show them how they do things
in TNA. On that note, the entrance tune for Order
four hits and now it comes Mustafa Ali, Tasha Steeles
(29:02):
and the Great Hands Duel of John Schuyler and Jason Hodge.
Ali tells mister Williams that he shouldn't talk about it
he mentioned burying his ass like the name is the Undertaker.
As he in the fore Order walk past him, Ali
(29:25):
demands the citizens of TNA in the Impact zone rise
and give him his proper applause. As he finishes his statement.
While entering the ring, he in Order for are attacked
by the System. The two groups brawl as Trick and
(29:48):
First Class are shown laughing and enjoying it on stage.
Santino Marilla is backstage with the System when the complete
match Cardona walks up. He talks about a faction warfare
with three groups and says they have to settle this.
(30:13):
We then see the Elegance Brand versus The Inspiration and
Mara Sadi Inside the Impact Zone, George Iceman talks some
trash on the mic to the crowd before propersonally introducing
the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions. The Elegance Brand out
(30:38):
comes the entire trio of Ash, Heather, and m From there,
the Inspiration duo of Cassie Lee and Jessea McKay make
their way out. They settle in the ring as the
crowd and commentary team await the arrival of their mystery partner.
The theme for Mara Sadi formerly known as Jakari Jackson
(31:02):
hits and she comes out. The brawl between all six
kickoff as the Elegance Brand settles into the early offensive
lead Ash and the rest of the Elegance Brand are
keeping Lee isolated on their side of the ring. Eventually,
Lee makes a much needed tag. This leads to mar
(31:26):
Slade helping out and Rope to The Inspiration hitting their
double team Idolizer finisher for the pinfall victory. The three
celebrate together after the match. Backstage, Mike Santana avoids questions
about coming up short at TNA Slam Reversary, and Indy
(31:49):
Hartwell is interviewed. When Victoria Crawford and Danny Luna get
involved in the mix and the match is suggested. Crawford,
calling herself Hartwell's mentor, goes off and fighting Santino to
make this said match, as Hartwell insists Crawford is not
(32:12):
her mentor. Eric Young wants to cleanse the TNA with
the Northern Armory, talking like a crazy man about doing
what's necessary. Tam Hannafan questions what in the world could
that mean? As we see inside the Impact Zone, the
(32:39):
youngest TNA X Division champion of all time, Leon Slater,
is introduced. He makes his way to the ring as
highlights of aj style singing his praise at TNA sam
Aiversary are shown. He settles in a ring and gets
on the Mica tells fans a chanting his name and
(33:03):
you deserve it, that they are far too kind. He
talks about making history and how he respects Moose for
how he has handled things. He vows to bring the
TNA X Division championship to New Heights. He asks the
Hardies to come out they oblige. Matt Hardy talks about
(33:26):
there being a special energy in the building tonight and
in TNA in general. He seems the praises of Leon Slater,
and then Jeff Hardy does the same bulletproof Steve Macklin's
theme hits and how he comes. Maclin talks about being
(33:48):
ready for war after Outsiders infiltrate TNA regularly. He then
praises Slater for being the future and calls the Hardy
his peers and mentors and the greatest tag team of
all time. And then well you got me. They claim
(34:13):
that the four of them are ready to represent TNA
in war. From there they will hold all their respective
titles up in the air together. To end that segment,
we then have the no disqualification match with the Southern
(34:35):
psychopath Mance Warner with his Heater Stuff the Lander versus
Jake Something inside the Impact zone. As Man's Warner's theme
song plays out, he comes accompanied by Steph the Lander
for the advertised no disqualification match against Jake Something. He
(34:57):
then settles in the ring, imposes music for Something plays,
and Something runs down the ramp. He is met by
Warner in the aisle and the two immediately get after it.
In the ring, Warner takes over and begins beating something
(35:19):
down with a steel chair and a trash can lid.
SDL continues feeding chairs and other weapons inside the ring.
Something wax Warner with one of them that knocks him
to the floor. He builds up a full head of
steam and sprints to the rope for a dive, but
(35:41):
dives right into a chair shot from Warner. As Matthew
Reinholt points out, the lander feeds Warner a sledgehammer and
a smooch as the action resumes in the ring. He
misses on the former, however, leading to something blasting Warner.
(36:03):
Something's arm appears to be in a bothering. It's hurting
him pretty badly regardless. Something heads out after Warner to
the floor, stopping to pull out a black stack of
a black sack full of thumbtacks. He pours them all
(36:25):
over the ringside area and on the floor. He looks
for a choke slam, but Warner fights his way free.
Something hits a back suplex on them. Something is up first,
because one hundred tax in your body doesn't hurt as
(36:46):
much when you initiate the slam onto them. Back in
the ring, Something hits a follow up black Hole slam
and gets to win to put an end to the violence.
(37:07):
We then hear the sounds of TNA Knockouts Champ and
NXT Women's World Champ. J C. Jane, the double Women's
Champion makes her way out with both titles. She cuts
a quick promo about making history and raising the bar.
(37:30):
She mentions her contractual obligation rematch against Masha Slamovich on
next week's show, then tells everyone to take a picture
of perfection. We then have the Great Hands with Gustafa
(37:51):
Ali and Tasha Steeles versus Mac Cardona and Brian Myers,
with the Edwards A little bit of major players. I
guess you could say the Sounds of the Order four
theme song comes out of Mustafa Ali and Tasha Steeles
(38:16):
with the Secret Service guys in suits lining the aisles
as the Great Hands team of John Skuyler and Jason
Hodge make their way to the ring for the tag
team action. Out next are their opponents, the Complete Matt
Cardona and the most professional wrestler, the System's own, Brian Myers,
(38:41):
accompanied by Alicia Edwards. The bells sounds and they're off
we go. Cardona and Myers take it to hotch early on,
as Myer settles into the offensive lead. As the action continues,
Ali tries to get involved but is stopped. Steel tries
to get involved, but Alicia stops her. A giant member
(39:05):
of the Secret Service for Ali hits the ring. The
massive man choked slams his way into an assisted victory
as the Great Hands follow up with a pin Mike
Santana versus Joe Hendry. This is the main event this
(39:33):
week's post Slammiversary episode of TNA Impact in Kingston, Rhode Island.
Before they can do whatever, however, they are joined by
an unwelcome guest in the form of the self proclaimed
King of TNA, Frankie Kazarian. Security ends up coming out
(39:56):
and escorting him to the back when he is ejected.
Before anything could happen, Mike Santana's theme hits and offers
a quick glance at a backstage. In his gear. Pacing
side to side, he begins his walk through the crowd
and to the ring. He settles inside to a good
(40:20):
reaction from the Rhode Island crowd. The viral smash hit
I believe Joe Henry is the next thing to hit
the house speakers as former TNA champ Joe Hendry himself
emerges and makes his way to the ring. A side
to side wave led crowd interaction is followed by the
(40:46):
soap opera style dramatic turn to close out his fan
friendly ring walk, Frankie Kazarian. This happened during the Frankie
Kazarian tries building his way back out, but he is
stopped by Hendry and one side of the floor. He
(41:13):
tries walking around on the other side, but Santana stops
him after security runs down and forces him to the
back again. The show returns and the bell sounds to
get things officially off and running. The match starts off
with Henry attempting a sportsmanlike shake of hands to Santana
(41:39):
before deciding and afterwards it to finally get after it.
Santana starts off strong, but it isn't long before Henry
takes over and settles into a prolonged ground of offensive control.
Henry is dominating but can't find his way to finish
off Santana. As the action continues, Henry is blasting Santana
(42:05):
the European uppercuts, but Santana explodes off the ropes with
a clothesline to shift the momentum. Santana goes for the
rolling buck fifty, but Henry avoids it and seconds later
catches Santana with a picture perfect cutter. Both guys are
down down in a slow cover as the referee begins
(42:29):
a double count out. Hendriy hits an Olympic slam for
a close to count. After the two each tryler finishers
and an insane amount of back and forth pen attempts
and roll ups, it is Santana who pulls things off
after avoiding a razor's edge from Hendry. As he picks
(42:52):
up the one, two three and the win. He and
Henry go Noda nos and henri Share takes his hand
and walks off. Santana celebrates his Hanaffin takes the show
off the air. Next week's card, You're Gonna Have j C.
(43:13):
Jane TNA World Champ versus Masha Slamovich for the TNA
Knockouts title. Moose, Eddie Edwards and JDC versus Trick Williams
