Welcome everybody to another episode of the nsc A Wrestling
and Gaming Podcast. This is your host, Big Sea Man
oh Man. I tell you this was a great week
as far as watching wrestling went. We're gonna finish off
(01:26):
over the weekend here with Ring of Honor. It was
a new episode on Honor Club from Chicago, headlined by
the Men's TV Proving Ground Match. Reigning champion Nick Wayne
will take on Gringo Loco, where if Local can defeat
(01:49):
Wayne or take him to a draw, Local earns a
future title shot. We also have an action the Beast
mor TOAs taken on Serpentico, while the Popular Outrunners will
battle the work Horsemen. The card is rounded out by
Trish Adora an Action, while Blake Christian and Lee Johnson
(02:15):
take on David Ali and Isaiah Moore. In the opening bout,
we have the work Horsemen versus the Outrunners. Both of
these teams haven't been around Roag much in the last
few months. The five and Oh Outrunners have been all
(02:36):
over a e W and the work Horsemen have had
a series of injuries have put them on a shelf,
so it's nice to see them back in action. Henry
kicked off a code of honor from Magnum and the
two locked up. Henry hit a big slam but missed
(02:56):
on an elbow, given Magnum a chance to show off
his strength and tossed Henry around the ring. Drake tagged
in and called out the old one Turbo Floyd. Magnum
shrugged and tagged him in. Something of a poseown occurred,
but it if you've ever seen J. D. Drake, you
(03:21):
know it wasn't much of one. Floyd tried to pick
Drake up, but it was too much for him. Magnum
hopped back in with a drop kick, but the bigger,
bigger man Drake chopped him in the corner. Magnum chopped
(03:42):
back and the Outrunners double teamed the Workhorsemen with some
tandem punches into the corner. Drake went up to the
second rope for a Drake bomb, but Magnum dodged it
before he could get to Floyd, though Henry tagged in
and cut him off. Magnum counted a suplex and got
(04:03):
a hot tag to Floyd. Unfortunately, the ref was distracted
by Jake by Drake and didn't see the tag. Magnum
fought back against Henry and got a second hot tag
to Floyd. Floyd cleaned house, spamming body slams on Henry
(04:24):
until Drake clubbed him to the stop. Floyd finally got
Drake up for a body slam and he and Magnum
hit the double elbow. Magnum scooped up Henry and the
Outrunners slammed him to get the pin fall victory to start.
(04:45):
I love both these teams, but if someone had to win,
I'm glad it was the Outrunners. They got the crowd,
hot and Hopney, and while the Workhorsemen were solid in
action in their return, I was happy with the outcome.
The next match, we saw the Beast of Mortos versus Serpentaco.
(05:11):
This match was pretty much made for me. Bast Mortos
is really good. Serpentco is really good bist Mortos and
Serpentaco great. Mortos hasn't been around ro OH much, while
Serprico is an ROH mainstay. I cannot stress how into
(05:34):
this match I am as Mortose is in great shape.
The man is built like a Greek god and can
move like the wind. Mortos charged off the bell and
ran right over Cerproco. Serpentaco tripped him into the ropes
(05:54):
and followed through with a big elbow that just made
Mortos mad, and he threw Serproco into the corner. Serpentaco
tried a high kick and leaped from the top rope,
but Mortos dodged it and sent Sirpentaco reeling with some
stiff forearms. Mortos hit a spinning heel kick and started
(06:17):
powering up. He hoisted Serpentaco over his head, but Serpentaco
dropped out of it and stepped aside to avoid a
charge for Mortos. Mortos went through the ropes and to
the outside, and Serpentaco followed while Mortos caught him, tossing
him back into the ring. Serpentaco hit a baseball slide
(06:39):
and set up a dive, but Mortos hopped back into
the ring and stopped him cold. Mortos went for a
choke slamp or Serpentaco wiggled into a flatliner. Mortos hit
a spinning backbreaker followed by a spinning laria into a
pile driver and that was just too much for Serpentaco
as Mortos got the win. And this was a really
(07:02):
fun match. Sir Pentaco had a plan and it was
to run circles around Mortals. Mortals countered by hitting him
very very hard. What was great though, was at no
time was it a squash match. More like this and
(07:23):
the roch will be Soaring had a backstage segment with
the Dark Order as they cut a promo saying they're
going to make a promise They're going to show up,
kick ass and leave over and over because the Dark
(07:44):
Order is forever blake. Christian and Lee Johnson went up
against David Ali and Isaiah Moore. Christian and Johnson have
attitude of Space and are looking for someone to take
it out on. Aside from Christian's newish haircut, things haven't
(08:08):
been going great for these guys since they pair it up,
so this match would be a good chance for them
to start building toward a shot at some gold. Johnson
started things off against More and it was really impressive exchange.
We know Johnson has the goods, but More kept pace
(08:29):
with him. Christian tagged in just in time for Johnson
to leap over the top rope and take out Ali.
Christian slowed things down with a chin lock, raking the
eyes of More. He had a series of stiff elbows
to the back, but Moore was able to make a
tag to Ali. Ali came out swinging, but Christians suplexed him.
(08:54):
Into next week, Johnson made a quick tag and the
two double teamed Ali with a huge spead. Johnson put
Ali up on his shoulders and Christian double stomped him
to the map. That was about it for the challengers,
and Johnson made the pen and picked up the victory.
(09:18):
We then had Trish Adora versus Ali James. A Dora
has been making some waves and ROH since joining up
with a Shane Taylor promotion James. In her second ROH match,
Adorra had a definite size advantage on James, but James's
(09:38):
quickness was not to be underestimated. Adra locked in for
a tight arm barmber James flipped out of it. Unfortunately,
Adra caught her midair and threw her into the corner.
James tried her best, but our Dora easily hit a
backbreaker and kicked her while she was down. Dora continued
(10:01):
working the arm until getting bored and hoisting James up
into a submission hole before slamming her in the matt
face first. A Door tried a casual pin but James
kicked out, infuriating a Dora. She began kicking and stopping
A day's James, finishing with a split submission hold that
(10:23):
forced James in half. A Dora dragged her around the ring,
pulling James to her feet as James had head scissors
in the corner, followed by a bulldog. A Dora followed
up with a huge kick to taken troll again, landing
a big right cross to James job that put her
(10:44):
out and A Dora picked up the pinfall victory. There
was a pretty strong outing for a Dora joining the
Shane Taylor promotion has been good for her and James
worked well for a match when no stakes. It was
pretty dang good. Backstage, the premier athlete to cut a
(11:06):
promo on how they are still mad at the Sons
of Texas for kicking Mark Sterling in the Silver Balls
and they need to watch out for him. In the
main event, we had the proven ground match with the
Ring of Honor World TV champion Nick Wayne versus Gringo
(11:27):
Loco Nick Wayne Oh Nick Wayne, recently uncaged from the
Patriarch mostly Christian cage. Wayne is given a potential title
shot to a very large and scary gringo Logo. Loco
(11:53):
has the ability to move like Wayne, but with a
big size difference. Wayne seems to understand how proving ground
matches work, so this should be interesting to say the least.
Mother Wayne kick Saban stalked around the ring. As the
match kicked off. Wayne locked up with Local, who sent
(12:16):
him flying with an arm drag. Wayne seemed to take
Local more seriously after that, pounding on him in the corner.
Local caught Wayne in a charge and military pressed him.
He followed that with a sent on for a two count.
Wayne bailed from the ring and hid behind Mother Wayne,
(12:39):
throwing Local off, Wayne threw him into the steel steps
and then back into the ring for some fast paced punches.
Not concerned with time ticking away, Wayne put him in
a chin lock. Loco fought out and knocked Wayne over
with a drop kick. Two struggled to get to their feet,
(13:01):
with Loco hitting a pair of lariats. Local hit a
modified lethal injection but only got a two count. While
time was taken away, Local went up top for a
moon salt, but Wayne was able to get out from
underneath it. Wayne hit a kill switch and all things,
(13:27):
and this put Local down for good. I really do
like Nick Wayne as the Ring of Honor TV champion,
and Loco is fantastic, but they need to make these
proven ground matches a little more exciting. Put a timer
on the screen, had a few smaller rule changes kind
(13:49):
of could do for the pure division, but overall it
was another exciting Ring of Honor episode. We then had
AW Collision with two titles on the line and the
tag team tournament continues. This is again from the Byline
(14:12):
Bank in Oregon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois, where AW remains
in residence for the rest of the month, and unlike
the majority of Saturday Evening Collision broadcasts, this one was
actually live. It wasn't taped in advance. The two championships
(14:33):
will be on the line in Chicago to night. First
and foremost, Athena defends her Ring of Honor Women's Championship
that she has now held for a very impressive nine
hundred and fifty nine days, against relative aw newcomer Alex Windsor,
(14:54):
who interrupted Athena on Dynamite this past week when she
seemed likely to cash in on her world title contract
on Timeless Tony Storm. Windsor is an underdog, but there's
always a chance. Tony Khan wants to rowights women title
off Athena as she transitions to the main roster. If
(15:20):
Athena wins, she will have successfully defended the championship thirty
times since winning it back on December twenty twenty two.
In stark contrast, Dustin Rhodes makes his very first defense
(15:41):
of the AEWT and T Championship tonight after his surprise
went two weeks ago at all in Texas. His opponent
is Lee Moriarty, who has now held the Ring of
on a pure championship for exactly one year, who was
never faced roads in single action. Additionally, the ae W
(16:06):
Tag Title Number one Contenders Tournament continues tonight, with Brian
Keith and Big Bill taking on Austin Gunn and Juice
Robinson filling in for an injured Colting gun On behalf
of the recently returning Bang Bang Gang FTR becomes the
(16:29):
first team to advance after beaten jet Speed on Dynamite. Finally,
Collision will also see the trios debut of the newly
dubbed Triangle of Madness, which is Julia Hart, Sky Blue
and Tekla first up. In the opening match, we have
(16:52):
the A W, T and T Championship with champion Dustin
Rhodes taking on Lee Moriard. Rhodes comes out first with
all his title belts. Moriarty follows them, wearing the Ring
of Honor Pure Championship and being accompanied by Shane Taylor.
(17:15):
The crowd is firmly behind Dustin as the bell rings.
Dustin extends a hand, but Moriarty slaps it away. They
lock up, Roads applies a hammer lock. Moriarty escapes in
cocky fashion. Moriarty applies a hammer lock to Rhodes, who
reverses it into a wrist lock. Moriarty rows up Roads
(17:39):
for a one count and then applies a stretch on
the map. Rhodes reaches the ropes quickly and then gets
back to his feet and starts shoving at each other.
Moriarty bounces Rhodes off the ropes and gets leveled with
a shoulder tackle, then an arm drag. Roads close lines
(17:59):
both Lee and himself over the top rope and then
stands up and gets an ovation from the crowd. Moriarty
continues to try to work Rhodes's legs, but Rhodes kicks
him in the face and gets out of it. Roads
back to his feet, but Lee takes him back down again.
(18:23):
Roads fights back into it with a crowd support, but
Moriarty hits another dragon screw then soaks in the jeers
from the crowd. They fight back to their feet and
exchange punches. Then Lee hits a kick and an upper cut,
(18:44):
followed by a punch from Dustin in a neat drop,
hurting his own knee. Moriarty's looking for a bow and
arrow submission on Roads, but he can't get it, going
back to his right leg. Is back on his feet
and hits some punches. Then Lee comes off the ropes,
(19:06):
but Rhodes hits a Canadian destroyer out of nowhere. Roads
hits the crossroads and goes for the cover, but Moriardy
gets to his feet onto the bottom rope. Rhodes hits
some kind of move and hurts himself again, but also
(19:27):
Moriarty somehow not sure what that was supposed to be,
but he gets a two count. Rhodes tries to get
Lee up for a vertical souplex, but his knee gives out.
Moriarty hits a big kick to the head, only to
get a two count. Moriarty locks in an ankle lock
(19:50):
and Grape finds it. Roads nearly taps but keeps fighting
and reaches the bottom rope back to his feet. Moriordy
goes for a running kick, but Rhodes moves out and
League goes into the corner. Road sets up for the
(20:10):
Shattered Dreams, but the ref prevents him from doing it.
League comes out of the corner with a flying kick
but only gets a one count. Moriarty hits four arms,
but Rhodes shakes them off. Moriarty hits some kind of
driver but only gets a two. Moriarty's about to go
(20:34):
for the figure four, but Dustin rolls him up for
a three count to retain his championship. After the match,
Don Kallas comes out with Kyle Fletcher. The protostar. Callus
says Fletcher has something important to say. Fletcher says he
(20:56):
didn't come out to fight Dustin. He doesn't need to
take any cheap shots because look at the two of them.
Fletcher out classes Roads In every single way. As the
crowd chance shut the f up, Fletcher says the only
thing he needs is what he is owed, which is
(21:20):
a one on one shot at the TNE Championship. He
says he refuses to sit back and watch Dustin give
shots to anybody else, so Dustin should keep being a
fighting champion because he wants a shot. Next week, Rhodes
says he wants a shot after all that crap he
(21:43):
talked about his family last week. Rhodes asked if the
crowd if he should give him a shot. Rhodes then
says he'll give Fletcher a shot next Thursday, live on Collision,
Rhodes versus Fletcher in a Chicago street fight, and then
he says one more thing, I'm your Huckleberry. Tony Khan
(22:11):
tells the announcers it's official for next week. A video
package Air is featuring your promo by Juice Robinson and
Austin Gunn promoting the upcoming tournament match between the Bang
Bang Gang and Big Bill and Brian Keith Austin says,
you'll normally see Colton here, but when one brother goes down,
(22:36):
another brother stands up, and that's why Robinson is here
as usual. They have two words for you. Then we
had Tony Schavani taking a moment to remember the Fallen
Hulk Hogan, saying he took wrestling mainstream in the nineteen
(22:57):
eighties and ignited the Monday Night Wars in the nineteen
nineties on this very network. Shavanni says, if you've never
lost a family member, you can't know what the Hogan
family is going through. And the hearts of everyone all
Elite Wrestling go out to them, as Shavanni ends it
(23:20):
by saying, rest in peace, brother. This is the first
Census passing that a WROH mentioned the Fallen Icon. We
then have the aw tag team titled Number One Contenders
(23:41):
Tournament with Big Bill and Brian Keith versus the Bang
Bang Gang. Brian, Keith and Big Bill come out first,
followed by Gun and Juice. Juice and Keith started off.
Juice is being very serious these days and had some
confrontation with Keith. The crowd is behind him as he's
(24:05):
from the area. They lock up with Juice getting a
wrist lock before Keith counters one of his own. Juice
with a side held lock, comes off the ropes with
a shoulder tackle for not even a one count. He
then tags in Austin Gunn and they do a double
(24:26):
hip toss for a two count. Bill gets tagged in.
He starts working over Austin's legs, mocking his brother for
having a knee injury. Bill poses after driving Austin's knee
into the mat again. Bill grabs Austin's leg and lifts
(24:47):
him into the air into a basicly a knee bar.
Keith just ran into his own corner because Gun jumped
over him and is trying to make the hot tag
to Juice. Keith drags him away, but Gun hits a clothesline. However,
(25:11):
he can't follow it up and he's still down. Now
He's up and trying to crawl for Keith as he
makes a tag to Bill, who drives Juice off the apron.
Bill continues mocking Austin and his brother by limping and
slaps him. Juice comes in and punches with punches to
(25:37):
Keith and then another to Big Bill. On the apron.
Bill goes over the top rope to enter the ring,
but Juice yanks the top rope up and down to
sort of like crotch him, then knocks him to the outside.
Juice hits a rushing leg sweep on Keith and then
(26:00):
a back sent on Juice with a clothes line to
Keith in the corner, and then a cannonball he covers.
Keith only gets a two count. Ju just goes for
some kind of DDT, but Keith hangs on hangs him
over the top rope, and Big Bill hits him with
(26:21):
a boot to the face from the outside. Keith with
a snap souplex on Juice and goes for the cover,
but Gun dives in to break up the move. Bill
tags in and then hits a double team move that
involves Bill kicking Juice into Keith knockout knee. Gun breaks
(26:48):
it up one more time before the three count. Bill
taunting Juice and then goes for a double team move,
but Gun breaks it up and Juice hits a bunch.
Juice hits her corona from the top rope, but Keith
counters into a sunset power bomb, but Gun turns the
(27:13):
move over into a pin for Juice, who gets the
three counts. So it was another interesting match, you know,
especially with a Bang Bang Gang back into town. So
very good, very good. Tony Storm cuts one of her
(27:36):
typical naughty promos backstage for Lexionaire promoting the Athena versus
Alex Winsor match. Much later, a video airs for the Outrunners,
who will take on the Young Bucks on Wednesday's Dynamite.
(28:01):
Lexignaire's backstage with Shane Taylor, but before he can say anything,
he's confronted by Don Kallus, who says the Young Bucks
are going to beat the Outrunners this Wednesday, but the
Outrunners might not make it to that match because they're
teaming up tonight with Don Callous and the Shane Taylor
(28:24):
guys beating up everyone else and splitting the money. We
then have the Max Caster Open Challenge. He comes out
to the ring and starts doing his usual thing. He
then puts a five minute on the time clock. The
(28:44):
opponent is his former partner of the acclaimed the five
tol Player and the Pride of Pro Wrestling, Anthony Bowens
with Billy gunn aka dad Yass. Bowenes immediately starts pounding
on Castor with punches. The ref drags him away, but
(29:07):
Bones comes back with chops. The crowd is chanting for Castor,
which makes Bowes upset. Bowenes continues to attack Castor to
jeers from the crowd. As Bone drives Castor down again,
Bowen breaks Caster's best wrestler alive, Patten over his knee.
(29:30):
He yells that Castor is nothing without him, then his
almost a low blow, followed by a famouser, a superkick,
and a rolling body wop elbow, which gets him the
three counts. After the bell, Bowen's conkiuse attacking Caster as
(29:56):
Billy Gunn drags Bowen's off and checks on Castor. Bowens
now stands a mechanic uh uh medicingly behind gun and
then shakes his head and angrily stalks out of the ring,
yelling about being the pride of pro wrestling. Gun stays
(30:20):
in the ring with Castor while Bowenes walks away, jawing
at himself. Backstage again, we see Lexi there and she's
asking if there's still the patriarchy. Mother Wayne says not
(30:41):
now never again. Nick Wayne starts talking, but then ar
Fox interrupts. Fox says he came to Chicago for a fight,
so he wants to fight with Wayne. And kept sabing
along with a mystery partner. Then we have the man
(31:01):
tag match featuring the don Kallis family and we have
our first lance Archer, and then Callous introduces his clients
from Mexico who was better than El Santo and Milmascaris
(31:26):
as a new group, and Sirio the man in question
enters the ring, followed by the infantry. Then the Babyfaced
Teams comes out with the Outrunners and Ishi being joined
(31:47):
by Hologram. Charlie, Bravo and Nishi start to match in
the ring, as Bravo with chops to Ishi in the
corner but is unaffected. Is She now chops Bravo back.
Bravo ducks a strike but gets ran over. Then is
(32:08):
She tags in Hologram, who hits some big moves, but
Bravo dives Hologram into the heels corner, where hence Rio
comes in and does some fancy roll up on Hologram.
Ba Hologram does a spinning arm drag and gets the
(32:30):
crowd to his feet. Archer is tagged in and he's
cleaning house. The murder Hock hits a choke sname on Hologram,
then a vertical suplex on is she.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Is.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
She tries to counter into his own suplex. Hen Sorio
goes for the legs BA Hologram hits some kicks on
henser Rio and goes for the top rope, then hits
a double stomp on hens a Rio. Sean Dene kicks
Hologram and gets up for a double team infantry move.
(33:10):
Hologram floats out of it for a back suplex and
tags in Floyd, who takes down the infantry. Floyd hits
a scoop slam on both members of the infantry and
then down down them with a clothesline bulldog combination for
(33:30):
a two count. Floyd hits a body slam on Dean
and then he and Magnum do their double team taunt
into the elbow drop. Archer shoves them both into the corner,
but they team up and drive him over the top rope.
(33:51):
Callous is off the announced desk. Now there's no ref
and for any reason, and now Pair is also here.
They run off the Shane Taylor promotion, but the infantry
goes for a big double team move on the outrunners,
only for them to hit their finisher and eventually get
(34:14):
the win. The ref was out of position and the
crowd counted the seven by the time the three count hits.
So your winners are the outrunners Hologram and e Shi.
We didn't see a video package for Hangman Adam Page
(34:35):
and his upcoming title match with former champ John Moxley.
Then we have the Triangles of Madness versus Maserati, Lanny
Luck and Rachel Ullering. The Triangles of Madness and their
(34:59):
opponents are making their way down to the ring. Heart
starts to match and gets caught in her wrist lock
by Luck, but Heart fights out of and gets her
own wrist lock climb into the second rope with it applied.
Heart walks the top rope in old school style and
(35:22):
then drops down with a strike from above. Heart tags
in Blue, who hits a running strike before tagging in
Theckla Tecla continues beating on Luck and pins her for
a two count. She then drives Luck into the heel
(35:43):
corner and tags Blue, who hits a cartwheel slab. Heart
tags in and drops Luck. Then his then hits a
moon saal, but Luck is able to tag in Ellering.
Ellring gets a momentum and hits a sentan on Heart.
(36:05):
Then some chops Ellering hits a Fisherman's suplex on Heart
for a two count. As Blue breaks it up. Tekla
speaks luck on the outside his Maserati, Ti tags in
a heart, kicks out and tags Blue. They hit a
big double team slam on Maserati. Then Tekla tags In,
(36:31):
hits a stomp and gets the pinfall victory. After the match, though,
Queen Almanana comes down with a steel chair in hand
and goes after the three members of the Triangle, running
them out of the ring. The megasus Megan Bean is
not in the ring and levels Almanata from behind. Being
(36:55):
hits a massive running paraboma amanata before leaving the ring.
The Triangle re enters and poses over the falling Almenada. Backstage,
Luxei Naire's interviewing Stoke, who says it's pathetic that Adam
(37:17):
Copeland had to hire goons to do his dirty work
instead of fighting his own battles and picking on someone
his own size. Just then to hurt Synde Kit attacked
FTR after a grueling match, and they still tools. They
still stood tall. Imagine what will happen when FTR wins.
(37:42):
The tournament goes to London and becomes the new aw
Tag team champions. Stokeley then switches to Gunnan Robinson, trying
to divide them via Colton. He then gestures with his
arms that supposedly injured and on a crutch. He simply
(38:10):
stares Lexi down and leaves when she points this out, Yeah,
this is a becoming quite the ae W collision segment.
Next up, we have the Athena the Athena match, and
(38:41):
it was pretty good going against a very newcomer, Alex Windsor.
Alex Windsor comes out for the first main event, followed
(39:01):
by Athena, who's accompanied by Billy Starks. Athena gives Windsor
a limp handshake. They lock up and Athena drives Windsor
around the ring into the ropes. Windsor gets the upper
hand at one point and Athena shouts and slaps her.
They do some technical wrestling exchange on the mat, but
(39:25):
the exchange ends with Athena punching Windsor in the face
and posing. Athena hits Windsor again, then throws her across
the ring, but Windsor hits a pair of arm drags
and a roll through dropkick. They're exchanging counters again, and
(39:49):
Windsor hits a big headbutt that sends both women out
of the ring to the mat. They slowly get to
their feet and the opposite corners. Athena runs at Windsor
and she dodges whips Athena across the ring and hits
her with the clothesline in a corner. Windsor with a
(40:12):
leaping clothesline off the rope and a kip up. Windsor
picks up Athena and drops her with a brushing leg sweep,
but the only gets a two count. Athena kicks Windsor
off as she went for a submission. Athena goes for
(40:34):
a basement dropkick, but Windsor picks her up and drops
her face first onto the apron. Windsor with a wheelbarrow
slam on Athena is first to the apron and then
to the outside. Windsor rolls Athena back into the ring
and starks grabs Windsor's leg from behind the ref's back.
(41:01):
Windsor throws Billy into the ring steps, but Athena hits
a dive on Windsor on the outside and then throws
her into the ring post and hits a shockun dropkick
onto the outside of the barricade. Athena gets Windsor up
(41:22):
and onto the barricade and they're both standing up there.
They exchange punches as Windsor gets the advantage and Athena
falls off, but Athena keeps with her feet. She grabs
Windsor and drops her with a power bomb to the floor.
(41:44):
Athena then rules Windsor back into the ring and goes
for the top rope and nails an o face for
the three count. After the match, commentary puts over Athena's
thirty defense is over twenty six different challengers. Starks in
(42:07):
Athena then start attacking Windsor, but the timeless one comes
down to make the save. Storm drops Starks, rolls Athena
inside the ring and hits alouthes press with punches. She
goes wild for the crowd, then hits Athena with a
(42:28):
hip attack into the corner. She puts Athena into the
TCM chicken wing, but Stark's hits Storm with a vicious
shot from the steel chair. Another exciting, action packed collision.
(42:52):
Then we finish up with yesterday the LFG results. This
is the sixth episode this season two of the WWE
Legends of Future Greats, and this one here showed wrestlers
getting out of their comfort zone. Sean Michaels and the
Legends challenged the competitors to embrace change and to show
(43:15):
different sides of themselves. In the first match, we had
Summer Sorel versus Danny's. Secondly, the Legends wanted Sikelski to
get out of her comfort zone as a cheerleading babyface
by both working heel and donning a luchador mask. They
(43:37):
believe that this would force her to use more of
her body language to sell the match, rather than relying
on facial expressions. Summer Sirel has an omitted fear of
public speaking, so the Legends had her work as the
phase and then cut promost prior to their match. Sorel
(44:05):
was the first to enter. She grabbed a microphone after
getting into the ring and told the story about getting
to the performance center. cREL talked about her self, doubts,
her excitements working in front of the live crowds the
(44:26):
week before, and the motivation she received every week from
both her coach, Michelle McCool and her mother, who was
in the crowd for the match. She finishes the emotional
promo talking about her mother's battle with cancer and then
(44:51):
through tears how excited she was to have her there
to see her accomplish this uring. Sikelski comes to the ring,
announced by her Lucha Libre name, Shooting Star. The match
(45:12):
started with two quick pin attempts by Sirel. After dodging
a clothesline, Sikelski went low for a chop block too
Sorrel's left knee, which she would continue to focus on
numerous kicks and submission holds. Sikelski would drag Sorel to
(45:37):
the corner where she where she was slammed her knee
into the ring. Post Cirell gets back in the ring,
the cameras caught Celeski sneakily putting an object into the
forehand of her mask. She enters the ring, dodging two
(46:02):
closed lines before knocking out Sorel with a flying headbut
she pinned the unconscious Sorrel for the pinfall victory. The
two women started the episode strong with a well performed match.
Sorell showed a warna phon a billarity with her pre
(46:28):
match promos, winning over the crowd. Selensky was the star,
playing the heel well with her interactions with the sorel.
We then had second match with Chris Island versus BJ Ray.
(46:49):
The legends kept the change is simple for Chris Island
and bj Ray, as Island embraced being a heel and
Ray would work much of the match as a face.
Island comes from it comes out in MMA gear, while
Right embraced the crowds, even jumping into the top of
(47:11):
the barricade which his name was announced. Island would then
hit Roy Ray excuse me Ray with a suplex, but
Ray would reverse with a delayed suplex of his own.
(47:32):
Ray would run at Island, who caught him and hung
him up on the top rope, leading to another clothesline.
As Ray got back to his feet, he would block
a punch attempt by Island and hit him with his
own punches, albeit not clearly. He would slow the match
(47:56):
down with multiple shoulder tackles and a building of the ropes.
Roy then hit Island with a very slow, very awkward
elbow drop, where Ray ran the ropes on all four
(48:19):
sides of the ring as Ray turned away to celebrities
for the elbow drop, Island would hit him with a
soup a surprise roll up for the win. His match
was clunky for both wrestlers. Island started solid with a
(48:40):
surprise attack at the beginning, but the remainder of the
match did not make him look strong. Even on the
roll up victory, he forgot to do the classic heel
move and hold the tight. Ray has all the chrisma
in the world, but he's still need to work on
(49:01):
his moves and pace in the ring. Whenever he was
in control, the match seemed to move a heck of
a lot slower, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
Vern.
Speaker 3 (49:15):
For the third match, we have Hayes Jamison and P Nasty.
She gained that nickname throughout her first two seasons at LFG.
For this match, the Legends coined a new nickname for
her baby face altered ego, P Nicey. Hayes Jamison was
(49:38):
given an oddly specific goal by Bubba Ray Dudley for
this episode, go heal and dye your hair. Jamison surprised
all the judges Dudley included when she appeared with pink
hair during her entrance. They were equally as shocked when
(49:59):
P nice came out with her two bows in her
hair and a glitterally makeup job on her face. Jamison
embraced her new heel persona by insulting the crowd and
p Nicy as the bell rang. When p Nicey changed
(50:20):
charged at her, Jamison rolled out of the ring. She
walked around the ring complaining about the matches until anyone
willing to listen. Then Jamison goes back in the ring
and hits p Nicey with multiple corner elbows before stopping
(50:41):
and making fun of p Nicy and her bows. This
upset p Nicy, leading her to shoving Jamison. Jamison bailed
out of the ring again. A p Nicey followed, this
time as Jameis Homppack in the ring. She hit the robes,
(51:03):
but she was hit with a spear by p Nogacy,
leading to a three count in a victory. Both wrestlers
understood the assignment. P Nasty played the babyface pretty perfectly,
as Jamison relied too much on her talking and not
(51:25):
enough on her wrestling. However, she came off very well
as a funny, cowardly heel. Then we had the main event,
Elijah Holyfield versus Drake Moreau. There was no set heel
or babyface for the main event. The Legends needed holy
(51:50):
Field to amplify his personality to the point where people
stopped seeing him as Justy Vander Holyfield's son. Moreau's goal
was to ramp up his aggressiveness. The match was intense
and hard hitting from the beginning. After the lock was
(52:12):
pushed into the corner, Holyfield began landing body shots on Moreau.
He was pulled off by the refs, but he broke
away and continued again. Moreau broke away, climbed to the
top rope. He leaped onto the officials holding holy Field,
(52:37):
allowing the two to continue fighting. The intensity became too
much for the two of them. When they returned to
the locker room, both of them began shoot fighting before
being separated for good. The short match was perfect to
(52:58):
set up an act. Aftermatch, Holyfield and Moreau showed new
levels of intensity that neither had shown to that point.
Both Undertaker and Bubbari dully stressed each of them the
importance of staying professional. Went back behind the curtain, but
(53:25):
approved of the leaps their characters have made so the
final grade for the females, p Nasty received three votes
to earn a point for Team McCool for the Males.
It was Moreau who received two votes and a point
(53:47):
for Team Undertaker.
