and Gaming Podcast. I am your host, Big Sea. We're
gonna talk about SummerSlam, So myself and the other host,
the Director of Chaos, gave our predictions on Friday of
(01:27):
both Night one and Night two. This was an exciting event.
You know. We had a heck of a weekend going on.
We had Wrestle Cohn Friday Saturday. We also had the
(01:49):
Superstore at American Dream Maul in East Rothiper, New Jersey,
a lot of meat and greets there. We had the
Superstore and the Memorabilia belt Store. So much stuff going on.
And then we had a Night one of Summer Slam.

But before that, we had a wonderful tailgate party with
the Busted Open podcast boys, you know ECW Legend, Tommy Dreamer,
w W Hall of Famer, Mark Henry w W Hall
of Famer, Bully Ray and of course the Podfather Dave Legreca.

And then we had Night one and then today Sunday,
we went back over to the WWE Superstore for some
more signings. Then we took a trip down to Lafayette,
New Jersey at Piandora's Box. They had a couple signings there,
(03:00):
you know, the Hardy Boys and Jeredy King Lawler checked
out some figs, picked up some few things. Then we
headed back for another tailgate, and then on Night two
wrapped up and here we are, so Night one. Now
(03:21):
this is gonna be broken down in full detail on
the recap show with the Director of Chaos and the
newly minted Golden Spike or Golden Saint, excuse me, the
Golden Saint Gaves Bellini. So I'm just gonna give you
a quick recamp of what happened, and then my record

for predictions. In the first match, we had to tag
with Roman and Jay versus the Double.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
B's Bronson and Brown Breaker.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
The highlight were that Roman took the spear for Jay
from Bron and then Jay with the USOS blash to
Bronson for the pinfall win. My prediction was the Double B's,
although I do believe I stated that this match to
me had no effect at all due to the fact

that there really wasn't like why was it there? But anyways,
of the Brenner and Teaming match, and.

Then we had the tag match.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
We had the champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez of
the Judgment Day versus Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. I
dubbed them the Blonde Bombshells. We have new tag jams, yes,

we do. Blistan Flair, the Bliss picking up the win
with his sister Abigail on Rock sam I predicted that
Bliss and Flair would dethrone the Judgment Day. And then
we had Sammy Zane versus Carrying Cross with Scarlett. Sammy
(05:24):
won by pinfall via the Halluva kick to Cross. After
Scarlett gave him a weapon to prove the point, he
threw the weapon down and took matters in his own hand.
I got this one wrong. I predicted that Carrying Cross
(05:48):
with Wind this this the man needs a win, though
you know what I mean. Sammy also needs a win.
But I kind of figured that Sammy would lose Acknowledge
Cross and then turn heel and maybe a you know
team with somebody to go after the tag team titles.

But yeah, Cross lost, and then we had the fourth match,
the Women's championship match, with champion Tiffany Stratton taken on
Jade Cargill. Tiffy time still reigns as she defeated Jay

with the prettiest moonsalt ever to retain her Women's championship.
I did get this one wrong, as I predicted that
Jade Cargill would become champion. I just can't get the
put behind Tiffy. I don't know what it is. I

don't know if it's a squeaky voice. I don't know
if it's because she put a jinx on my New
York Mets baseball team. But she threw out the pitch
and it was horrible, worse than fifty cents. I don't
know what it is. Jade. You know, she held the
TBS champion ship over at AEW for like five hundred

plus days, and I figured it was time for her
to get a strap of her own besides the tag title.
You know, a singles, run and be good with it.
Maybe there's something in the work which we'll get into
that a little bit. So right now I am two

and two. Then in the fifth match, we had Drew
McIntyre and Logan Paul going against the Viper Randy Orton
and Jelly Roll. I dub these two the viper role.
So that's my little niche on that one there. Anyways,

McIntyre and Paul beat up on Jelly Roll and the Viper,
with Paul getting the pin on jelly Roll via the splash.
Viper Roll did a lot better than expected, and it
definitely looked like Jelly Roll put in some major work
(08:36):
in the reading. Let's see where this storyline goes from here,
Like I was saying, you know, the payoff, where was it?
You know, the feud only going on a couple of weeks.
You need a payoff, you need a build up. The
build up is here and I think it's gonna happen
at Survivor series. Jelly Roll did look amazing though, like
(08:59):
he he he put in some work, Like his move
set was pretty crisp. It wasn't huge, but it was good.
It was really good. And of course you know with
future Hall of Famer Randy Orton. You know, he's able
to carry a match. And then you have the very

athletic logan Paul. You know, great heel. He came from
an entertainment background, a TikTok I believe it was, or
the Vine or whatever use young ThunderCats use for social media.

He's been putting in work. He's a full time wrestler.
You know, he looks amazing. And then Drew macintired, a
Scottish psychopath, former world champion. You know, also another one
could carry a match, so I'm really excited to see
hear that one. There goes. And then the main event

of Night one. Oh, let's backtrack this a little bit here.
I did predict that McIntyre and Paul would win, so
right now I am three and two. And then the
main event of Night one, w W champion Gunter versus
the best in the world, see him Punk. This match
(10:28):
really went Gunter's way for most of it. Punk was
getting slapped and chopped and just brutalized, but he wouldn't quit.
Punk came the upper hand after he had gone through
with a flapjack on the announcement on the announcers desk,
which caused Gun through the bleed profusely. He threw him
(10:52):
back in the ring and then after two consecutive gts's,
Punk won the title and became the new world heavyweight Champion.
But after the celebration was going on a little over
five minutes in him in the ring, what did we hear.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Burn it down?
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Yes, folks, Seth freakin Rollins showed up with the wise
man Paul Hayman, briefcase in hand, crutches under his arms,
brace on his leg on the entrance way. He stared
(11:45):
down at the ring at Punk and then turned around.
That was all a ploy. He threw down his crutches,
took off his walking cast ran down to the ring
and beat the living hell out of seam Punk with
(12:09):
that briefcase. Cast it in a stomp later and South
Freaking Rollins is your new world heavyweight Champion. I also
said that I believe right to point that Punk was
(12:30):
gonna win and then Seth was gonna cast it. So
overall four night one I was four and two On
Tonight two started off with another blast. Triple H came out,
you know, addressed a WW universe and it's always good
(12:53):
to see trips out there you know. The man's also
a legend Hall of Famer did so much, especially for
a lot of us childhoods. Started off for the triple
threat match for the Women's World Championship with champion Naomi
(13:15):
going against Ria Bloody Ripley and the Genius of the
Sky Eo Sky. This was a really, really good match.
Started off with both Ria and EO teaming up to
(13:37):
take down Naomi, who I might add had her song
played by her father which was really cool. But anyways,
it was pretty much back and forth match all the
way till the end, with Nao on me retaining. After
(14:02):
Ria hit EO with a top rope riptide, Naomi comes
in rolls up Ria holding her tights to keep her title.
I predicted this also, so right now I am one
to zero. Then we had the tag team title match,
(14:27):
the TLC the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. Prior to
the match, it was nice to see some video footage
of people who created this match and made it famous,
as in the crowd. We had the Dudley Boys both
Divon and Bubble Ray and the Hardy Boys Matt and Jeff.

It was an amazing six pack challenge. So many high spots,
crazy things happening.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
We had some run ins, some surprise run ins.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Anyways, Like I said, it's gonna get more in details
tomorrow with the Golden Saints and the Director of Chaos.
But the Wyaots retained their title very much deserved and
right now I am two and zero. Next we had

the Women's Intercontinental Championship match with champion Becky Lynch going
against former champ Lyra Valkyria. Becky Lynch has new entrance
music and it is fire, absolutely amazing. It got me
(15:54):
pumped up. Anyways, Becky Lytch retained her title after Bailey
return and accidentally struck Lyra. Becky then hit the man
handled slam for the pinfall victory and the win. I
(16:20):
got this one wrong. I figured that Lyra would beat Becky,
Becky would take a little bit of time off and
then come back. And then as soon as I heard
the new music, I said, son of a be, there's
no way they're gonna put all this time and money
(16:40):
into a new music just to have her take a break,
right right, So shame on me, Shame on Big c.
So right now I'm two and one for night two.
Then we had the Steel Cage match for the US
title with champion Solo Sokoa going against the Samoan Werewolf
(17:07):
Jacob Fatu. Solo had his entire MFT behind him during
this match. They surrounded the ring Tala j C Tama
surrounding the ring. But who comes out oohso Jimmy Uso
(17:36):
comes out to trying to help even the odds. Although
he was very outnumbered, MFT was way too much. The
numbers game played a factor and Solo retained his US title.
(17:58):
But after the match, Jimmy laid a whoop but on
j C. Mateo and Tomatanga threw them in this cage
and fed him to the werewolf, who did a moon
salt from the top of the cage onto both j C.

And Toma.

I predicted that Jacob was going to win, So right
now I am two and two. I guess fifty percent
is better than twenty five or zero.

But you know, I try to be I like to
be the best.

I have that hunger not to be wrong.

It doesn't work out for me today though, folks, because
the next match is the IC Championship match with a
champion Dirty Domasterio going against the phenomenal one, AJ Styles.
Dirty Dom retained his title after hitting the frog splash

onto AJ Styles. I don't get it. I don't get
why the push is happening so hard for Dom. I mean,
is he a great heel, Yes, he truly is. But
AJ hasn't really had nothing going on for a minute. Now.

You know, what are they doing with Aj? Where are
they going to go with this? I mean, for Cripe's sake,
he was being a janitor. Where's the payoff? What is
the future for this future Hall of famer? Where are

they going to go with him? Are they going to
have another match? I don't know. Don really ducked him
for a long time. You know, oh medical issues, blah
blah blah blah blah. I mean what, I call him
(20:36):
the greatest Intercontinental of all time, the greatest lutrador of
all time. No I will say though the man is
one heck of a playboy. I mean his track record
is proven.

So as of right now, for Night two, I am
two and three.

Unbelievable. Next up is what we all wanted to see
the main event, WWE champion, the greatest of all time,
John Cena versus former champ the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

Interesting to note that during this pay per view, it
was the first time in many weeks that John Cena
had both music and a video package playing. Very good
to see that happening. Being the heel it was. It
(21:56):
was good. Cody Rhodes comes out, of course, a huge
popular crowd, you know, seeing his entry music. Whoa you know,
the whole nine yards is a bang, you know for
this street fight match. The thing that was interesting was
as the match was excellent, Cody was booed throughout the match.

I mean for the perfect face to get the heel treatment.
While the heel was getting the face treatment, something had
to change, right absolutely. But it was a brutal match.
I mean in the crowd, out, the crowd tables, I
(22:47):
mean foreign objects. It was when they said a street fight,
that's exactly what it was, a pure street fight. After
so many false finishes, Cody Rhodes defeats John Cena to
(23:12):
win the WWE Championship. Happy for Cody. Where does it go?
After the match? They shook, hugged, said pleasant trees, Cody
walked away. Sina was in the ring doing the good
(23:36):
stuff that Sina does because even as a heel. He
wasn't truly a heel. He was like a stone cold heel.
You know, stone Cold was supposed to be a heel.
He was a fan favorite. They loved the anti authority figure.
(23:57):
Sina spoke from his heart and if you guys remember
correctly after Elimination Chamber where he turned right that following
night on Raw, he came out and cut a promo
which was excellent. Cody Rhodes comes out and says that

you know he wants to fight the scene out that
you know that he grew up and loved not the
one that did this. And Sena said during his promo,
you know, Cody, these fans out here that you've been
giving your life to are gonna turn on you. They're
gonna boo you after everything you've done.

And he was right.

The fans booed, of course, you know. So where's this
gonna put Cody. It's hard to say, but after the match,
as Sena was sitting in the ring, what did we hear?

the Beast incarnate brock Lesnar returned looking just as bad,

just as big, just as ruthless as we remember him
from two years ago. He walked down to that ring,
took off his cowboy hat, took off his jacket, slid

in and ft five John Cena.

Pop. That was also a predict should We predicted that.
We've had that prediction for two and a half weeks
and it came up true. Everybody was saying, no, it's
going to be Ron blah blah blah. They're not going

in the stands to stay seated. It's going to happen,
and it did so. Overall for night two, I was
three and three.

overall four night one I was four and two On
Tonight two started off with another blast. Triple H came out,
you know, addressed a WW universe and it's always good

to see trips out there you know. The man's also
a legend Hall of Famer did so much, especially for
a lot of us childhoods. Started off for the triple
threat match for the Women's World Championship with champion Naomi
(13:15):
going against Ria Bloody Ripley and the Genius of the
Sky Eo Sky. This was a really, really good match.
Started off with both Ria and EO teaming up to
(13:37):
take down Naomi, who I might add had her song
played by her father which was really cool. But anyways,
it was pretty much back and forth match all the
way till the end, with Nao on me retaining. After
(14:02):
Ria hit EO with a top rope riptide, Naomi comes
in rolls up Ria holding her tights to keep her title.
I predicted this also, so right now I am one
to zero. Then we had the tag team title match,
(14:27):
the TLC the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. Prior to
the match, it was nice to see some video footage
of people who created this match and made it famous,
as in the crowd. We had the Dudley Boys both
Divon and Bubble Ray and the Hardy Boys Matt and Jeff.

It was an amazing six pack challenge. So many high spots,
crazy things happening.

We had some run ins, some surprise run ins.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Anyways, Like I said, it's gonna get more in details
tomorrow with the Golden Saints and the Director of Chaos.
But the Wyaots retained their title very much deserved and
right now I am two and zero. Next we had

the Women's Intercontinental Championship match with champion Becky Lynch going
against former champ Lyra Valkyria. Becky Lynch has new entrance
music and it is fire, absolutely amazing. It got me
(15:54):
pumped up. Anyways, Becky Lytch retained her title after Bailey
return and accidentally struck Lyra. Becky then hit the man
handled slam for the pinfall victory and the win. I
(16:20):
got this one wrong. I figured that Lyra would beat Becky,
Becky would take a little bit of time off and
then come back. And then as soon as I heard
the new music, I said, son of a be, there's
no way they're gonna put all this time and money
(16:40):
into a new music just to have her take a break,
right right, So shame on me, Shame on Big c.
So right now I'm two and one for night two.
Then we had the Steel Cage match for the US
title with champion Solo Sokoa going against the Samoan Werewolf

Jacob Fatu. Solo had his entire MFT behind him during
this match. They surrounded the ring Tala j C Tama
surrounding the ring. But who comes out oohso Jimmy Uso
(17:36):
comes out to trying to help even the odds. Although
he was very outnumbered, MFT was way too much. The
numbers game played a factor and Solo retained his US title.
(17:58):
But after the match, Jimmy laid a whoop but on
j C. Mateo and Tomatanga threw them in this cage
and fed him to the werewolf, who did a moon
salt from the top of the cage onto both j C.

And Toma.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
I predicted that Jacob was going to win, So right
now I am two and two. I guess fifty percent
is better than twenty five or zero.

But you know, I try to be I like to

I have that hunger not to be wrong.

It doesn't work out for me today though, folks, because
the next match is the IC Championship match with a
champion Dirty Domasterio going against the phenomenal one, AJ Styles.
Dirty Dom retained his title after hitting the frog splash

onto AJ Styles. I don't get it. I don't get
why the push is happening so hard for Dom. I mean,
is he a great heel, Yes, he truly is. But
AJ hasn't really had nothing going on for a minute. Now.

You know, what are they doing with Aj? Where are
they going to go with this? I mean, for Cripe's sake,
he was being a janitor. Where's the payoff? What is
the future for this future Hall of famer? Where are

they going to go with him? Are they going to
have another match? I don't know. Don really ducked him
for a long time. You know, oh medical issues, blah
blah blah blah blah. I mean what, I call him

the greatest Intercontinental of all time, the greatest lutrador of
all time. No I will say though the man is
one heck of a playboy. I mean his track record
is proven.

So as of right now, for Night two, I am

Unbelievable. Next up is what we all wanted to see
the main event, WWE champion, the greatest of all time,
John Cena versus former champ the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

Interesting to note that during this pay per view, it
was the first time in many weeks that John Cena
had both music and a video package playing. Very good
to see that happening. Being the heel it was. It
(21:56):
was good. Cody Rhodes comes out, of course, a huge
popular crowd, you know, seeing his entry music. Whoa you know,
the whole nine yards is a bang, you know for
this street fight match. The thing that was interesting was
as the match was excellent, Cody was booed throughout the match.

I mean for the perfect face to get the heel treatment.
While the heel was getting the face treatment, something had
to change, right absolutely. But it was a brutal match.
I mean in the crowd, out, the crowd tables, I
(22:47):
mean foreign objects. It was when they said a street fight,
that's exactly what it was, a pure street fight. After
so many false finishes, Cody Rhodes defeats John Cena to
(23:12):
win the WWE Championship. Happy for Cody. Where does it go?
After the match? They shook, hugged, said pleasant trees, Cody
walked away. Sina was in the ring doing the good
(23:36):
stuff that Sina does because even as a heel. He
wasn't truly a heel. He was like a stone cold heel.
You know, stone Cold was supposed to be a heel.
He was a fan favorite. They loved the anti authority figure.
(23:57):
Sina spoke from his heart and if you guys remember
correctly after Elimination Chamber where he turned right that following
night on Raw, he came out and cut a promo
which was excellent. Cody Rhodes comes out and says that

you know he wants to fight the scene out that
you know that he grew up and loved not the
one that did this. And Sena said during his promo,
you know, Cody, these fans out here that you've been
giving your life to are gonna turn on you. They're
gonna boo you after everything you've done.

And he was right.

The fans booed, of course, you know. So where's this
gonna put Cody. It's hard to say, but after the match,
as Sena was sitting in the ring, what did we hear?

the Beast incarnate brock Lesnar returned looking just as bad,

just as big, just as ruthless as we remember him
from two years ago. He walked down to that ring,
took off his cowboy hat, took off his jacket, slid

in and ft five John Cena.

Pop. That was also a predict should We predicted that.
We've had that prediction for two and a half weeks
and it came up true. Everybody was saying, no, it's
going to be Ron blah blah blah. They're not going

in the stands to stay seated. It's going to happen,
and it did so. Overall for night two, I was
