Where the reason why?

We own this sound until the final bell will hold brand.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Welcome everybody to another episode of the NSC Wrestling and
Gaming Podcast. This is your host, Big C. So it's
been two weeks since wwe LFG has been on, but
we were returning tonight. In the first match, we had
(01:30):
Anthony Luke versus Harlem Lewis. Anthony Luke and Harlem Lewis
struggled with agreeing on moves leading up to their match.
Continuous bickering and shouting during their walkthrough caused the judges
to worry if their disagreements would carry into the match.
(01:53):
The match started with a strong and lengthy tie up
that led to two competitors to fall through the middle rope.
Both competitors got up and tied up again onto the
floor and stayed tied up as they rolled back into
the ring. They finally broke the tie up once to
referee interjected. The two would exchange verbal jab before Luke
(02:18):
rushed Lewis into the corner. Lewis got out with a
strong form, but Luke gained the upper hand again with
a headlock into a shoulder tackle. Louis hit Luke with
a dropkick but missed a big boot, leading to a
chop block by Luke to Lewis's left knee. Luke would
(02:42):
focus on the knee for the remainder of the match.
After a power slam, Luke would hit Louis with a
leg drag into a pin attempt. Lewis would attempt to
backslide pin before reversing a power slam. Luke would again
chuck blocked the knee and he dragged Lewis into the
(03:03):
corner to slam his knee into it. After a closedline attempt,
Lewis dropped Luke on the top rope, leading to a
clothesline into a backdrop. Again, Louis again knocked Lewis down
by targeting.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
His left knee.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
On a power bomb attempt, Louis reversed it into a
roll up, causing the ropes to get the three count
and the victory. This match felt as though both wrestlers
wanted to look good and neither wanted to lose. This
resulted in a barrage of moves, not giving the audience
(03:48):
enough time to digest the match. You know, in this
wonderful sport, you've also have to sell. Not everybody can
win perfect example, Kurt Hawkins had a two hundred and
(04:10):
sixty nine losing streak in WWE two hundred and sixty nine,
so something's gotta give there, You gotta give and take. Anyways,
(04:31):
in the second match, we had Shiloh Hill versus Trill London.
This match was strong hitting from the get go, as
Shiloh Hill attack Trill London as London entered the ring,
he'll shoulder tackle London into the corner, but London ducked
a punch, allowing him to land his punches. He attempted
(04:54):
to get the upper hand again, but London used this
opportunity to hit her karana back into the corner. Hill
hit a clothesline and then he threw London into the
tree of woe. He then locked London into a cross base,
but London worked out of it through body shots. Hillary
(05:19):
gave the momentum with another Irish whip into the corner.
He put London for a corner bomb, but London reversed
it into a sunset roll up for a near fall.
London hit Hill with a flying leg drop, flipping over
the top rope to do so. This match ended with
(05:43):
a swantan bomb from London for the upset victory. Both
Hill and London played their characters well within the match.
Hill did a great job executing the power moves, while
London was able to show off his aerial of London
took most of his move set from Jeff Hardy, making
(06:06):
it challenging for him to stand out. Obviously, a lot
of wrestlers are inspired by their favorite wrestlers growing up. I,
for example, my favorite wrestler growing up was Macho Man,
(06:27):
and I tried to do the the top rope elbow
drop every time I had a chance, so I can't
really fault him for that, although you should try to
(06:50):
be creative if you want to stand out, which is
what everybody needs to do in order to get to
that next level. The third match was Sienna Lynton versus
Bailey Humphrey. This match was unfortunately shortened due to injury.
(07:15):
The two women began with a lockup, leading to Humphrey
tossing Linton. After another lockup and a toss, Lynton rolled
out of the ring. The two had a small comical
back and forth, mocking each other's poses. Humphrey dragged Lynton
back into the ring by her hair, but she was
(07:38):
able to work her way out of it. She climbed
the top turnbuckle, only to be grabbed by Humphrey put
into the fireman's carry. It was there that Humphrey gently
let down a limp Linton onto the mat.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
The referee threw.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Up the X, stopping this match. Afterwards, still dazed, Linton
said she had blacked out when she went to the
top rope. Booker t Linton's coach believed she hear her
head when she was shoved out of the lock up
(08:17):
at the beginning of the match, which is, as we
all know, in the wonderful support of professional wrestling, things happen.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
And you gotta call move sets on the fly.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Obviously, you never want to see anybody get injured, or
you're having a great match. You know you'd be the
only one to carry it due to some sort of
unfortunate instance, but it does happen. In the main event,
(08:58):
we had Pienna to La Pa versus Zenna.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Sterling started off with.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Tulapala and Sterling began with a lockup into a chain wrestling.
Sterling attempted a suplex, but Tulapala kept locking them, eventually
ramming Sterling into the corner. He locked up again, this
time to La Pa, pushing Sterling into the other corner.
(09:46):
Sterling tried to get out of the lockup by climbing
to the top rope, leading to Tulipala slamming her out
of the corner. Sterling was able to gain the upper
hand again with numerous upper cups. She attempted a body slam,
(10:07):
but once she realized she could not pick up to
the Polla, she chopped blocked her leg till Polla got
up and surprised Sterling with a spear and a pen attempt.
She lifted Sterling's shoulders after the second count, insinuating that
she was not done with her yet. Sterling gained momentum
(10:30):
through a series of uppercuts. She hit to the Polla
with a staggering number of chops. Sterling succeeded with a
body slam, which she turned into a stomp, leading her
to win the match. The main event of the match.
The main event was the match of the night. Tila
(10:54):
Pola continued to find herself as a character and in
the ring. Sterling is the best female wrestler on the show,
and it wasn't even close. She is entertaining. Her ring
presence is oppressive and she knows how to work the audience,
which is very important. You have to have that connection,
(11:20):
whether they cheer you or they boo you. You need
reactions and any reaction is a great reaction. So the
final word is for the women. Luke received two of
(11:42):
the four votes to earn a point for Team McCool.
For the men, it was Tulapala and the second point
of the night for Team McCool. After the vote, Bobbara
Dudley cut a promo on the Legends putting Sterling over
(12:07):
for being unfairly judged because she is too good. This
resulted in Dudley walking off the stage as the episode ended.
