(00:00):
Oh care, what's up? I'mJohn, I'm Marley, and I'm MICHAELA.
And you're listening to on the playlistand I heart Radio New Music podcast.
This La Lapalooza lineup, I say, And of course you're not going,
so I don't know what you're talkingabout. But if I'm ever going

(00:21):
to skip work for the festival, this this is the line up. This
is the one. Literally had ticketsin my cart yesterday and I was texting
Mikayla. I was like, arewe pulling the trigger on this? Or
are we pull Yeah? So areyou saying you didn't pull the trigger because
I'm not in No, that's partof it. No, ye, it
is because you know what, becausewe are Marley, hotels are pricey Airbnb's

(00:46):
or whatever. So just give meme and Marley likes take it on Chicago,
which we could do. We couldlet me tell you the case that
we'd pay to go there between flights. Yeah, the cost of the ticket,
the hotel, we can freaking goon European excursion. Really cool.
You looked up the pre sale whatwere the cheapest prices for tickets for Lallapalooza
three nine? Hello? That seemedlike a lot. But it's also four

(01:11):
days, right, It's right. When you do the math, it's really
like one hundred and twenty dollars aday after fees and stuff like that,
which honestly isn't bad. And youthink about it, guys, it's not
John, it's not compared to othershows. Think about how many people you're
seeing in one day. That's true, that is true. This will be
the first festival if I do gothat I've known so many artists. I
honestly feel like the first five rowswere just like I almost knew every single

(01:34):
name. Yeah, and there arepeople in there I haven't seen before.
Yeah, I had them in mycart. I was going to do the
layaway plan. It's like, youknow, you pay X amount of dollars
for three installments, and you've paidfor your ticket, which is a lot
easier to digest than right up therein our group chat, after you told
us the price that is four hundreddollars. You told us the price of
the VIP package with the upgraded bathrooms. That was Mikayla. But yes,

(01:59):
yes, and you're like, oh, four hundred doesn't seem bad if you
look at it that way, Likethe way that you just have to justify
these takes looking up the one that'sour way through life, and that is
how I was doing. I respectwhat happened to Coachella, though, Like
just looking at that lineup compared toCoachella, it's it's bad there, I
say, embarrassing. It's so badwhat happened. I mean even like Hangout

(02:20):
Fest is that what it's called?Yeah, I want to go to that
so bad. Because random ass festivalsfrom around the country are having better lineups
than Coachella. What's up with that? I don't know. But the Golf
Shores one is is off the coastof Alabama, and honestly, last year
it was better, I thought,in my opinion because it's like Nightly and
the Bank Camino, but Knox Ison this one Dell Water Gap rename rap

(02:44):
Dominic, Fike All Time low Zach. Like that lineup is crazy. Yeah,
And also like, I honestly didn'tknow about that festival until this year.
But the fact that I'm learning abouta festival on the shores of Alabama,
I'm like, dude, perspectfully,it's crazy. Respect I mean,
no disrespect to Alement. I justdon't really because we're in California. I
feel like we get a lot ofthe biggest festival, so for a festival

(03:06):
from a different part of the countryto stand out, it's got to be
that good. And Coachella, dude, you could put that anywhere. I
don't think it would stand out tome. If it wasn't Coachella, I
would look past that line up intwo seconds. Yeah, no, I
agree. I also am so excitedthough four I'm so good, I'm gonna

(03:31):
play nothing else. Also, wait, when is that coming out? We
don't know. I've seen nothing abouta date, not a single. When
is stage Coach? That is theend of April? And both post Malone
and Morgan I swear if they dropthat or if they perform it, I'll
lose my mind. I feel like, because post Malone is doing an entire

(03:53):
set of country covers, the dude'sgot to just be bringing out people right
like it's post I feel like everyoneloves him. He's on He's so many
he's on a feature of so manydifferent songs. Yeah, I just I
hope. I have really high hopesfor his set. Honestly, are you
listening to it? Sorry? Great? Can you? Guys? I legit

(04:17):
like almost both the trip to haveus. After listening to this one clip
of the song, this is thesummer that Mikayla's going to start liking country
music. It is okay, Ilike pop country like this. Yeah,
I don't like the twang kind ofcountry. This is how it starts.
You just you like the pop countryfirst, and you're like, I could,
I could kind of mess with this, and then like you get a
little bit deeper and a little bitdeeper, and then all of a sudden

(04:39):
you're like you. That's how ithappens. That's how it happens. What
a year for country though. Wegot Beyonce's album coming out next week.
Post Malone is just full country. He's one hundred percent of his kind of
love that man so much, hereally is. He is the best.
I absolutely love that guy. Allright, Hey, welcome on the playlist.

(05:00):
My name is John, This isMikayla. Hello. Reason that time,
truly every time? How long havewe known each other? Literally since
twenty sixteen? Girls, Listen, both of your names start with the letter
M, and like both of youare referred to as McKay in some way
because Marley's last name is McKay,but I've been calling you McKay for the
longest time. I called you kaearlier today. That's a new nick name,
yah, and you shortened it exponentially. Did you hear that? So

(05:23):
it was in the room and Iwas like, oh, thanks, Kay.
I think he literally like shivered outof his skin for a second.
It was totally. That's like witnessedthe birth of a new nickname to one
of your friends. Just it's justas shocking. It's real birth, I
promise you. But hey, welcometo I'm back on the playlist. We're
going to talk about some new musicthis week because I think we got we
got lucky with another good week.I think we did two hm, so

(05:46):
let's talk about it. I wantto run down my top three favorite songs
of the week. Number three.Benson Boone is my guy, dude.
I love his voice. It's sogood. I am with him. Slow

(06:10):
it down, Benson Boone. Hecame in the studio the other week and
I was just like, I feltlike I was just fangirling on him.
I was like, I love yourmustache. It was such a nice handshake.
He's honestly so nice. Every timeI saw him in the hallway,
he waved. Yeah. Yeah.Every time I saw him, m I
was like, hey, what aguy. Know, he was so nice
and coming off of what was thelast song, it's bump blinking on it

(06:33):
right now, the beautiful beautiful Thingsthank You just my favorite song of the
year, absolutely top three. ThenSlow It Down comes out another absolute banger.
I don't know if you've seen muchof this on your for you pages
on TikTok, but oh yeah, there are a lot of people saying that
he's a Christian artist. Have youbeen seeing that. I've been seeing that
too, actually, which is interestingto me. A lot of people are
saying that, and I just Ithink there's a difference between mentioning God in

(06:57):
a song and like having it bea worship gospel track, you know what
I mean, Because like these lasttwo big songs that have come out have
both mentioned God or Jesus in someway. But I don't think it's like
it doesn't strike me as a Christiansong, you know, no, because
I think, like beautiful things,he's saying, God, please don't take
all these beautiful things that I got. But I think that's just acknowledging that

(07:19):
people say that all the time.Yeah, right, that's saying that every
song that just says the word Godlike makes your religious. Yeah, I
don't know. I didn't really takethat from it. But he did also
release that he's got a full albumcoming out in like a couple of weeks.
Dude, is he on tour rightnow too? He's about to start
it and the whole tour sold out. Okay, but we're going Yeah,

(07:45):
that's who I'm talking about. John'snot going to bail on this one.
No, I won't bail on analbum. It's called a I Believe Fireworks
and roller Blades kill a Rollerblader. And now I don't see a lot of
people good at that besides the usheron. Yeah, yes, he could
have been up there at the esherHalftimego it comes back, she says,
Rollerblades, Rollerblades are back in twentytwenty four. I will say about this

(08:09):
song, I loved the build.Yeah. I know that he was teasing
the open the opening to this song. You have like two different teasers and
it sounded like two different songs.Yeah, but I loved the slow build,
like the story that he like, you know, basically sets up before
the first chorus. Yeah, hewas saying that this song is essentially telling

(08:30):
him because how many times have youbeen in a point where you've had a
crush on somebody and you just speedthrough steps one through ten in your head,
you're thinking about the wedding on yourfirst day, and you're like,
I am all I can think aboutis this person. You got to remind
yourself slow it down. Yeah, you can't get ahead of yourself. That's
my friend right now. Really,Yeah, one day and she's they're already
talking about like this moving situation, like because he lives like two hours away.

(08:52):
No way, you need to takeit slow, please, dude,
Like, I get it. It'shard because when it's right, it just
it feels so right right, howcondition you're wrong exactly? Yeah, I
mean, and even for me,like when I'm in the beginning of a
relationship, I'm such like a inmy mind, I create a movie scenario
in my head that like this isI don't know, just basically the scene
out of a movie, and soI have to tell myself slow down,

(09:13):
son, hit the brakes. Dude, you're getting way too caught up.
Because so many times I've let myselfjust get way too caught up and it
ends up just like not meeting thosemovie expectations, you know what I mean.
Yeah, So anyway, Benson Boone, I love you. You're my
guy. I just like he's onlytony one, but I like just want
to be that crazy. You knowthat is kind of wild. I thought

(09:37):
he was older. Yeah, youngguy. So uh number two sending it
over to Hosier. I loved thisone so good. Those ears like Jesus

(10:03):
of the woods and I don't evenmiss Maybe his hair a little bit is
doing that for me, but likehe's got the voice of an angel diseased.
I saw this song TikTok that wascomparing this song, and it made
it more gut wrenching because he's sayingyou're too sweet for me. But then
you take all the words about howsweet his lover is in work song,

(10:28):
A sweet lover in work song. There's nothing sweeter in them, my babe,
I never once from the cherry tree. My baby sweet as can be.
She give me two figs just fromkissing me. Oh but my baby
is sweet as can be. Shegive me two thiches just from kissing me.
And then this next one that justcame out, he's saying, you're

(10:52):
too sweet for me. Yeah, crazy full Circle the work song I used
to play all the time when Iwas cleaning the studio at Orange. I
put it on the speakers when noone was in the studio and I met,
when I'd be like by myself, like mopping the floors when I didn't
know this era of you being thejanitor. We have like a midshift,
so I would like I would cleanthe studio in between the morning shift and

(11:15):
the afternoon shift. It doesn't matter, but but this was my song.
Oh man, I'm wondering if Ihave songs like that every place I've worked
before this obviously even this one arekind of on a playlist where you hear
the same songs like I remember itSubway. There was like a Subway playlist.
Worked it Subway. Yeah, thatwas one of my first job.

(11:35):
Say is sandwich Artists? Yeah? That was my title? What issue with
that? I haven't never heard ofmy life. Did you make it up?
Or is that official? No,that's official. It says that on
our little aprons. I think they'restill called that. They call them sandwich
artists. What it sounds done? You better make us the most beautiful sandwich
one day. It's pretty good.I competed in the what was your favorite

(11:56):
sandwich? To make spicy? No, to make tuna. It's the easiest.
Two scoops. You're done, Hegoes, Oh, I do love
tuna. I don't even know theyhad tuna at some point. Yeah,
and you know, like the goodsandwich artists, because like some people will
scoop that tuna and then they'll usethe knife and scrape off the top.
Come on, what are you doing? You know? We had this sandwich

(12:16):
artist competition though, where essentially, like you all meeted a subway, all
these different subway employees and subway likemanages this and you have to build a
sandwich accurately and the fastest, andthey have a competition on who is the
best and fastest sandwich? Maybe funI was top three in southern California,
so that's a big one. Sandwichartist days were real. How do you

(12:37):
get on this orange theory? That'sRIGHTERO? But yeah, dude, I
love this man, can do nowrong in my eyes. Number one release
though this week, I'm thinking it'sgod to be Olivia Rodriga. I'm so
obsessed with your ex. Oh no, she's been asleep almost of your bed.

(12:58):
And then I can feel it.I'm I am a grown ass man
and I love Olivia Rodrigo. Goddude, that song is a hit.

(13:20):
Yeah. And this one, dude, like, I feel like it fits
the album so well. It justhas got that like pop, like that
punk rock kind of feel to ittoo. We don't really have like artists
like her, like she's bringing backlike that paramoid yes rock band sound,
I mean yeah, so well, yeah, like there's other people that are
like a little bit smaller than herthat are just as good, but like

(13:41):
hers is like take it takes meback. Yeahah, And we were talking
about that build up with the BensonBoone song. This one has such an
awesome build up as well, exactly. And I'm I'm glad that you brought
up that last point because you weresaying that, like this was such a
good fit for the album. Iwas shocked that this song was not original
a part of the album, Yeah, because all of the other tracks on

(14:03):
the album I'm gonna be fully honestdidn't really do much for me. But
there's someone moving up there. Ohgood ghost but no, that's okay.
But yeah, I figured that thisone would have been a great addition to
Guts in general, but I'm soI'm intrigued that she put it why she

(14:24):
chose to put it as a Ithink you're one hundred to your point when
you're listening to some of the othersongs. Because So, she released five
new songs, four of them shewrote while writing Guts, but didn't really
come out with them. They weresprinkled on the physical vinyl albums. Yes,
that came out some of these priorto its release, and she's been
playing Obsessed every night of her tour. Fans have been expecting this one.

(14:46):
The only brand new song was SoAmerican. That's when she wrote after writing
Guts. But going back to yourpoint here, a lot of those other
songs are almost like acoustic sounding, and they don't really fit the album.
They don't like I see why sheto put those out, But this one
could have dropped within it the firsttime. Yeah, girl, I've always
been that one was the one thatstuck out to me out of the other

(15:07):
ones. It's it like, gaveme Sheryl Crow early two thousands acoustics.
You have change that thing you alwayssay, which is so different than what
Guts was. Yeah, So itwas just very interesting. It made sense
that those ones were bonus tracks.Yeah, but Obsessed I can't believe that

(15:31):
wasn't on the original track list.I was thinking the same exact thing.
What was the can't light to myguitar? I felt like that was so
cool that the concept of that song. Again, that's a slower one.
It didn't do as much for meas Obsessed it, but still I thought
it was such an interesting point ofher saying, yeah, I can lie
about my feelings to everybody, butwhen I sit there with my guitar,
like right, I can't lie tomy guitar, like it knows the truth

(15:52):
the whole time. And I waslike, dang, that's cool. But
Obsessed has very much that teenage ansvibe, like being obsessed with your ex
that's crazy to me, you know, not even your partners. Yeah,
like, what a wild concept.I feel like I don't know another song
that does that. You know.Megan Maroney kind of does that with one

(16:14):
of her songs from her album LuckyI'm blinking on the title of the name,
but it's like, is that theInstagram one where she's like, I
know you're checking up on my Instagram? Yeah, she does. That's a
very similar thing, but it's likethe other way around. I think that
do you guys look up people's exes? Like, if you're talking to somebody

(16:36):
or you're interested in someone, doyou make an effort to look up the
rex? I mean, if it'son their profile, I'll creep. But
if not, then no, becausehow am I gonna know? But not
really, I was always curious aboutthat. I just like, I don't
know. I think a lot ofguys I talked to we don't really care
about that. I think that's justI don't know if that was a guy
girl thing. I think it's moreof like you look up your ex's new
girlfriend. Now that's what it is. Yeah, yeah, I've looked up

(17:00):
all my exous new boyfriends at somepoint. Which that's the Megan Marony take.
Like that song is is more solike the ex creeping on. Yeah.
She's saying like, I know you'relooking me up? Yeah, So
like hey, like how is likedid you mean to double tap? That?
Spring Break throwback is one of thelines in her song So good all
right? So yeah, olive youright, we go? Dude bangers obsessed

(17:23):
this one right here, guys, sneaky banger. This is my sneaky banger
of the week. Okay, sneakybanger by an artist I think he goes
by Christopher not a lot of listens, a couple thousand listens tops on all
his music, But I saw atease for this on TikTok and I thought
it was so interesting and it's ait's a song for the d d's when
you're going out on the weekend.Wait for this draft to come in.

(17:55):
I don't need the alcohol to havea good night. I'll just I'll just
I'll just have a s all right, I absolutely need a d D banger.
It's the most John song he's Iwas just gonna say that that's so
John. I don't want alcohol tohave a good time. Oh no,
it's It was so cool. Andthis guy, like again I looked at

(18:22):
his other stuff. He like,he's an artist. That's just I don't
know if he's just starting out,but he hasn't really gotten a lot of
traction. And even the rest ofthe song, to be honest, didn't
really surprise me. But that droppedit. Sneaky banger. It just it
creeps up on you, and Iwas like, I want to hear the
song out on the weekend. Dude, that's it for me, though,
I'm taking out the ox. Inever put it in, but here comes
back, he goes, I neverput it in. All right, Michayla,
you want to go next? Sure, here you go. Take this

(18:44):
all right? I want to putthat in there. I'm so obsessed with
a banger. Hey, hey, amen, So you know I was just
looking through my New Music Friday playlist, you know, trying to see what
I can pick for today, andsomething caught my eye. Magnetic Okay,

(19:07):
it's there's a song by Joan calledMagnetic. I was like, let me
just give it a listen. Youknow, the title caught my attention.
Isn't that interesting Sometimes if it justshares a title with the song, you
like, you'll click it. Yep, so I clicked it. Banger.
Never heard of this band, wageWar. Not sure if you guys have,
but they've been around since twenty ten. Supposedly they're from Florida, and
you know me and my pop rockpunk, you know, ye? And

(19:30):
this is it? No? Oh? Like what it's kind of given?
Nickelback? Nickelback, That's what Iwas gonna say. Under took me back
to early two thousands. Nickelback forshort, Right, isn't it good?

(19:52):
Yeah? I liked that. Iplayed it like ten times. Yeah,
before I listen to other songs.I definitely is the very beginning. I
definitely heard nickel like that's a nickelBack. Yeah, first I thought it
was. I was like, watwhat? Yeah? Yeah, this song
is basically just like, you know, despite knowing what may be best for
like a relationship or whatever, something'sdrawing you to that person's stuff. You

(20:15):
know, magnetic dude, you hatethat the stuff you can't control. Man.
Yeah, Like whether it'subtraction or whatever, it's like you keep him pulled,
pulled back, you know. Ihate that. Yeah, keep being
pulled back to the you know it'sfine mode. Okay, And my next

(20:37):
song is actually from one of thesingers from the Vamps. Okay, so
they there's like four guys in theband, but three of them who are
kind of lead singers, backup singers. They just all released solo projects doing
solo tours. So the lead singer, Bradlee Simpson, just came out with
the song called Cry at the Moon. And what is interesting about this song

(20:57):
and why I picked it is becausethe Vamps have such a specific sound.
It's like that pop like it's poppop, pop rock, poppy vibe,
but also like there's a beat droplike you would like it John, And
this is so the opposite of that. I was so interesting. I didn't
know he was into this, andhe said that it's kind of bringing back

(21:18):
like the Queen vibe like other bandsfrom that inspired him to write this album
and this music. So it's calledCry at the Moon. It's a very
alternative, right, very different thantheir other stuff for sure, for sure.

(21:41):
And he's doing like some tour showsin London, LA New York and
they sold out during pre sale, completely sold out, so I couldn't even
get a ticket to try here.Wow, because they're the Vamps. Never
come to the US either, really, so where are they from? London?
So they are yeah, they areEuropean. Yeah, Yeah, there's
huge there, huge, but theykind of never broke the US. I

(22:03):
was gonna say, because when Isee them on social media, like all
their social media's popping. Yeah, they have like millions of followers, and
they played some pretty big festivals inconcerts here, but it's not to the
level that I would think matches whatI see on social Like I don't think
they've done it here since years ago, like before the pandemic, Like twenty
seventeen, they did Diheart Radio Festivalin Vegas on the daytime stage. Well

(22:25):
didn't they have that song with DemiLevado at the time or was that Yeah,
so she was a feature on it. Yeah, yeah, they did
them and shown Mendez. Actually,oh wow, Cecilia that song? Yeah,
why do I remember that? Yeah? You break amma? Huh yes,
crushing yeah, so very different. But I just love his voice and

(22:48):
I'm excited to hear more. Andhopefully we can go to the La show.
Maybe we'll have him in. Idon't know, dude, I know
you've been trying to make that onehappen. Well, yeah, that was
with Connor from the Vams. I'mactually close with him. How many of
them are there? There's four inthe band, got it? Yeah?
Three of them are going solo.Tell them we got a seat open,
all right, we have a seatopen for everybody on the show. Yeah,

(23:11):
but that's those are the shows. Those are my two for this week.
All right. You want to passthat over to Marley. Marley,
if you could just plug that in, please think, Thank you truly passing
this SOX is my favorite part ofthe podcast. It really is. I
gets out what's up dudes. Okay, So I wanted to talk today about

(23:34):
an EP that was released by BlakeRose. Do you guys know who Blake
Rose is? Yeah, it's familiar. I think I've played him before,
like I've listened to him before.Yeah, I got it. We had
to have talked about it because he'sin my release radar every every time he
comes out with the song. He'sgot a couple songs that came out I
don't know at this point, probablyyears ago, but like Gone and Lost

(23:55):
those are bangers. But he releasedthis EP and I thoroughly enjoyed all of
it. But Suddenly Okay is thename of the EP, and that's also
one of the songs on the tracksor listened in the tracks, and I
liked that one and it was actuallywritten by a Okay. But the one
that I did want to talk aboutthat I haven't heard yet until today was

(24:18):
never Let Go of One Man.If you want, you gotta says show
that could be the one she neverver let never never let could be Okay
tell me yes, Yeah, Ijust want to be like laying out in
the sunshine and just bopping around withmy friends, like we will be listening

(24:42):
to that next week on the beach. It's so good. And basically what
I interpreted from the song giving ina few listens is it's basically like the
start of a relationship where he's pursuingthis girl and the girls obviously like into
him, but she she has herguard way up, and he's like,

(25:02):
you know, we could have allof this if you just you know,
let go, let go, AndI would never let go on like all
that stuff. So anyway, Iloved it. The whole vibe of the
song is just so good. Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. I hadn't
listened to this one because I sawhim on my release radar, and for
whatever reason, I think I wasjust going through other songs I didn't listen
to it. Yeah, and thatI genuinely thought that was one of my
favorites of the day so far.Yeah. Well, and one of the

(25:23):
lyrics is like, you know,I'll leave my jacket in the back of
my back of your car so thatI have reason to see you again,
and like, you know, that'sthe whole vibe of the song, is
him pursuing this girl who's like herguard is so far up and he's like,
come on, just let go.Yeah. So anyway, I really
liked that one. And the lastone I want to talk about from the
EP Last Walk Home, It isit's pretty sad when you break it down,

(25:48):
but it's it's really good. BlockJason Well the figs, So what
is it so much? It's sogood? Just a tail end of it

(26:08):
was so good, and like it'sreally sad because the whole song is basically
talking about how this relationship that didn'tfeel like it was supposed to end needed
to end and they both knew it. And that's why that line is like
it didn't feel like we practiced becauseit's like they knew it was coming and

(26:30):
so and they were both on thesame page that it was gonna end,
and they knew it was the LastWalk Home, but it didn't feel like
you know what I mean. Likefor me, I've always thought that is
the most heartbreaking thing. It's likesomething bad doesn't really happen, and like
you don't think it's gonna end,but you both know it needs to,
but you don't. Yeah, itjust breaks my heart. Like there's this

(26:51):
one Chelsea colored line that she opensup. It's her song walking Away.
You look meant you like one ofus might know what else to do,
And it's just like looking at eachother knowing that it's over, but nothing
even really happened. You just knowit's headed that way. Yeah, that's
heartbreaking, I know. And that'swhat the whole gist of this song is
is like, you know, therewas nothing wrong about the relationship. Everything

(27:11):
was good. That last line islike, you know, it was beautiful
while it lasted. If you hadasked me again to do it all over,
I would like, I wouldn't changeit. But you know, it
doesn't feel like we practiced. Brokeme. I was like, oh,
that's so sad. I'm going backto bed, I know, like truly.
So anyway, I loved that. That Holy Pea is really good.

(27:32):
So Blake Rose coming out with Bangerstoday. Listen. He's also going on
tour, so we need to gosee him when May. I think he'll
be in Lost Comes. Okay,Blake, if you're listening, Just in
other news, in other news forall of my country lovers out there,
which I know are not all inthis room, but the Summer Bangers are

(27:52):
here. There came around, justcame up into a song today, Hunt
Sam Huntan Brown Fiddle in the Bandby Kane Brown. That's gonna grow on
everyone. I loved that it wasvery country, and I was shocked because
he's kind of like I thought, was leaning more towards the pop country ish.
Well, this is very country.I think the only reason it sounds

(28:15):
country country to you though, isbecause there's an actual fiddle playing the entire
south. But did you like it? It's kind of a banger. No,
it was good. I Likedane Browna lot. I loved that song.
I debated, you know, bringingup as one of my picks this
week, but I was I wasgoing back and forth as I had too

(28:36):
much going on in my head. But also the thing is I always leave
those to you. The country songs. I'm like, those are from Marley,
I got you a certified country countryrep over here. But yeah,
Fiddle in the band Kane Brown,Sam Hunt Brown Band and for my sad
cowgirls out there, We've got breakMine my brothers Osbourne and twenty eighth of
June by Megan Maroney also dropped today. She was saying too that they say

(29:00):
is the last, her last onewas a sad song. This one's gonna
be a sad song, but shesaid the next one is going to be
a country like fun banger, Socry why you can? I love her
her voice, her like raspy voice, is like, so oh, I
love it. I completely agree, completely a great I'm on board. But
that's all I got for you.Okay, we're last minute shoutouts, dude,
I want to shout out Porter Robinson. He is an EDM artist who

(29:22):
came out with the new song todaytowards his new album. It's called Cheerleader,
and he's playing with this like popkind of sound, which is new.
He's not really going fully DM rightnow. It's like kind of alternative
to a little bit familiar. Hehad a couple like crossover. That's why
I don't want to say back inthe day. It's obviously not back in

(29:45):
the day, but it kind ofwash. It's such an og But that
song was like in our radio system, so I was like, stations are
playing it, and I got soexcited about that. And then Remy Wolf
came out with Cinderella Marella. Thatone was on repeat this morning. Yeah,

(30:06):
that was another good one. Thelive horn section in there kind of
funky. I really liked that.Okay, let's take out the arts.
Hello, Hello, John Glitch glitch, he froze. I truly thought I
was in a movie. All Right, we'll be right back. Hello,

(30:30):
We're back. So we have thatthat Beyonce album that comes out next week,
except you guys aren't going to behere next week. We're not going
to be here next week. Mikaylais celebrating the Big three. But I
won't be thirty for another couple ofweeks. But this is pretty birthday celebrations
with my family. Thirty is knockingat the door. Oh good, things

(30:52):
are about to happen. But tothink about everything that I've done in my
twenties is wild. Yeah, turningtwenty one, drinking in college, college,
that's all part of your twenties.Like, that's wild, and that
chapter is about to close, andthat's it's so insane that like that's only
the first part of your twenties becauseit flies by fast. But at the
same time, when you do lookback at you turning twenty one, that

(31:12):
just light light time good. Isee pictures of myself turning twenty three,
Like because obviously my birthday was acouple of months ago, like I would
get all of the memories that popup from you know, birthdays past,
and even at twenty three, Iwas like, oh my god, I'm
a child. Yeah, I'm alittle baby at twenty three. Truly,
truly, no really, I sawthe TikTok that was like some guy welcoming

(31:36):
you to each new age and hewas like, oh twenty one, like
here's your first drink. And bythe time you drink and he's like,
oh, you're thirty. Now.By the way, wait, no,
really's how that happen. He goes, well, while you're thinking about it,
now you're forty. No, no, no, that literally happens.
When I think about a certain age. I feel like it jumps so much
faster. Yeah, like wild, you can't think about it. I can't,

(31:56):
you can't think about it. Iremember literally popping champagne on college dorm
room ceiling when I turned twenty one. And here I am popping it because
I'm not I'm dropping it because Ijust can't hold it. I remember the
first shot I ever turned car, first shot I ever took was yeager.
Really, oh, what was thefirst shot you ever took? Okay,

(32:17):
I that's a good question. Listento this. This is pretty cool.
Okay, Okay, you know thedrinking age in London is eighteen, right.
I went there for college when Iwas twenty, so I my first
time getting drunk, oh wow,and was in London at twenty on my
twenty birthday. I was like everyonearound you just able to hang and you
weren't. Oh, truly fell onthe streets of Kensington, truly crawling home.

(32:43):
There's no like Kensington, truly noubers. Like there's taxis. We
did getting at to get in ataxi and then Queen's guards carried me out
of the bike like the dudes. And then true, yes, but they
were off duty so they weren't inthose But I saw that photo. It's
it's an iconic moment for that isliterally the definition of an iconic birthday.
That felt like my twenty first Okay, I think my first shot was a

(33:07):
Svedka vodka, unflavored and not agood trist but I will say in the
moment it like tasted I could knowit tasted fine. Of course, it
was so easy. We were tolerantthen and then I remember I waited like
five minutes and I wasn't drunk yet, and I was like, this is
I could take a few more shots. So then I took like three more
five minutes later. I wasn't drunkyet and I didn't really know how this
works. So I was like, okay, well, I threw up all

(33:30):
night. And that was the firsttime I went to Subway hungover, throwing
up making people sandwiches. I ewAnd I called my mom yelling at her,
and I was like, Mom,you're supposed to be the cool mom.
You're supposed to warn me about this, and you didn't tell me what
this is going to do because Ididn't drink to college. No, me
too. And my first drink wasrecord a lig and that's the London drink.

(33:50):
And it's like a cider here nowlike what they had to add Ononda.
They used to sell it, butnot anymore really, but it's like
a Swedish cider. What's it?So? Is it? So it's a
cider. It's sweet, it's likeflavored. Yeah, but now we have
a bunch of those, like differentbut there's like strawberry and wild berry and
stuff, so those are my favorite. Still. We loved this fed pink
lemonade. Oh yeah, that's agood one. I really like the peach

(34:14):
I was a big fan of.I can't drink anything peach now because Michael
I can't. I can't have anythingwatermelon because watermelon smearing off. I had
at that's the worst one. That'ssuch a bad experience. So well,
next week, what are we drinkingon your birthday? What's the taken together?
So what are we taking together?I'm like an old lady now with

(34:36):
espresso martinis. Oh I love alsoreally does love a cider. I do
I currently have one, though, just because when I drink too many sweet
things. Just the next day, there are three drinks that MICHAELA will order
at the bar, a cider,an espresso martini, or a margarita.

(34:57):
Yes, I mean the margaritas havebeen hitten differently. I like that because
I'm marguerite, espresso martini or abeer. Okay, next week perfect,
