the universe. So I had tobuy a stage coach car camping pass right

because I'm car camping the past thatI found super good deal. Some guy
to drive to Narnia for picked itup, though he would only sell it
if I bought an extra stage coachwristband. And then now I have to
sell that wristband because I needed tobuy it. So I have a wristband

to know is I want to knowhow Coachella compares to all of these other

huge festivals now because there are somany all over the country. It's like,
maybe that's kind of the reason thatCoachella has lost some of its glamor.
It's just like another one in amillion festivals. Well. Also,
I feel like Coachella, to yourpoint, did lose its glamour also because
there's this stigma around it that's nolonger about the music. It's about what
you're wearing and who you're there withand you know, branding. It's like

very and I feel like that's avery hot take, but also not a
hot take. But I think therewas I think there was a time that
that definitely peaked, like maybe thetwenty sixteen to eighteen era. I feel
like it was very Instagram centered,it felt like, and like Revolve is
another it's in that like its ownfestival there that seems like it's for the
influencer. That's not to knock anyonewho actually goes because they do like the

like it has it had that glamourfor a lot, for a long period

sudden, I'm going, wow,that's insane. How is how is thirty?

saying thirty that many times in arow sounds wild. Three days into my

thirties and it's you feel different alittle bit, I think, And I
think it's a little bit over hypedin the beginning. You don't really feel
it. It's just like the strikeof being saying it. Saying it is
the worst part. Yeah, Ithink it's just weird to know that I
have friends that are thirty, butlike I'm twenty nine, so like I'm
you know, it's thinking it there, yeah, but it like feels weird.

It's like, oh, yeah,you know, Mikayla just turned thirty,
John's thirty. I'm like, oh, it's so weird that, like
I was there, I feel thatmyself and my friends are in our young
twenties until I see real young twentyyear olds. Yeah, for the most

college still whatever, and I thinkI'm that age. Until I see that,
I'm like, oh man, andyou're like, wow, they're really
they're really young. Yeah. No, I agree, like I're still like

I'm twenty one, but I'm not. Because when I hang out with twe
one year olds are twenty five yearold, I'm like, I feel old.
I feel old, but my coworkersare are in you know, they're
twenty three to twenty five range,and even sometimes with them, I'm like,
oh my god, I'm old.I feel old. Yeah, But
when I was, when we wereyounger, early twenties, I just thought
thirty was so far away, soold, like, and I just want

to say it's not. I'm soproud of us, guys, because when
we did too. I went outfor Michayla's birthday a couple of weeks back,
the pre birthday. We stayed outtill like twelve fifteen. I'm so
proud of us. I think Iwas in bed by twelve fifteen, and
I was like, wait a second, I really at eleven thirty, I
kind of like going on it andthirty and coming home. That's that's the

way to do it. That's theway to do it. I would so
much rather like go get dinner andthen maybe go out, and then if
we do go out, we're likeout until like maybe eleven thirty, and
then we're home by midnight. Itfeels like we've been out all night.
Yeah, and then I still geta full night sleep. And the bar
like started to get really cracking oncewe started leaving, and I was like,
Wow, we're seeing the night crowdright now. This is so cool,

which is so interesting because I rememberlike going out to the bars in
college and then sometimes going to thatbar in the daytime and I didn't even
recognize the bar. I was like, oh, they have paintings like that
on the wall, like that John'snever paid attention to. Yeah, I
just would have never known. Butthat's the opposite side of that. How
wild. The highlight of that night, though, was the corn dogs.
Oh my god, I've never reacheduese dog and that was one of the

most delicious things. So we wentout in Newport Beach, California, and
there's this there's this corn dog placeright next to the pier where all the
bars are, and it's open tolike two am. And my roommate had
a few drinks and walked into thisplace and says, I'm gonna get corn
dogs for everyone. And he said, yeah, sure. He says,
I'm gonna walk out with a hundredJohn was trying to leave. John's like,

okay, if anyone wanted one,all of us said no, And
then all of a sudden, he'slike, go back to have one.
I just paid over one hundred dollars. John, y a platter full of
John Dogs. You can't wait.I just bought one hundred dollars worth of
corn dogs. Why, He's like, I'm not kidding. I did no.
I thought he was messing with me. And he walks out with that
platter like he was going to feeda shelter, and I was like,

I know, I have to stayin an hour. We have these corn
dogs. It was worth it.It was worth that I was sick.
Yeah. John loves hanging out withus, No, I really do.
When the hours start to get later, stay out later than the biggest the
difference between us and John is Johnacts thirty when we go out. It's
true you're still twenty nine, butwe I'm still acting like I'm twenty five.

Yeah, I'm starting to think thatI'm all talk, honestly, because
I feel like maybe you're just nowstarting Why I feel outside of the going
out scene, like I'm the youngestone, and then we actually when it's
time to like put your money whereyour mouth is and go out and have
a good time, then I'm theone trying to go home first. Yeah,
I would be worry embarrassed to myself. Yeah. I think it's because,

like I truly love mornings, right, like I work on the morning
radio show, but even on theweekends, Like I love having my mornings.
I love being up at seven andhaving my coffee, getting some emails
done. And I think that whenI sleep, and oh god, I'm
making it worse. Old checking getemails on a Saturday. I like,
no. The sad part is Iwas saying that not even thinking that that

sounded old. That sounded really mymind. And I didn't mean. I
didn't mean to bring it down sofast, but I was just like,
it's like, you are not provenanyone anyone's point. I do like morning,
so I don't like to sleep theday away. I don't either if
I wake up land either, Ifeel like I've wasted my weekend. Yeah,
we're you gonna work by that time, like our show's over. I
can't even sleep in past eight thirtyanymore. Yeah, that's the latest second.

You get up early. Yeah youwent and got your hair down a
like seven am after that night.Yeah. But Marley, even if we
go to bed at two or three, she's up at eight. So I
can't. I can't sleep past inthe morning like I just I'm awake.
I can lay in bed for hours. Don't get me wrong. I'm I'm
up at eight eight thirty. AndI just feel like after going out as
productive as you want to be,Like your head just says, nope,

we're not doing that. You know, which, You're allowed to have those
days of once in a while.Drawn no one's asking you to do it
every weekend. It's just scary.It's not scary. I think my body

wow, I probably wouldn't have noticedthat song before, but I was
like, oh shit, Boozy,I recognize him from the Beyonce album.

a bang. And I looked throughhis other stuff. He's got great country
music and a lot of these otherartists that were on her album too,
like Britney Spencer Tanner Adell came outwith a new song this week called Whiskey
Blues, and these are artists that, like, I'm paying extra attention to
honestly because Beyonce and like credits areher for doing that. I feel like

so many of these like black countryartists are killing it right now and it's
so cool. I feel like,you know, there's some hate online between
like country and pop country that I'vebeen kind of seeing. I think when
an artist comes out with pop countrymusic, even post Malone, some like
diehard country fans are like, no, this is not real country, this
is this is pop country. AndI always feel like that's like who cares,

you know, Like, who areyou to gate keep music? Like
I don't think you have to necessarilylove every version of your genre of music.
But like, if anything, itjust improves the genre, Like it
makes more people like country, andthen it makes more artists get into country,
and then it makes more country music. I feel like expanding the genre
is just to win for everybody.Well that's like jelly Roll. I mean,
jelly Roll is like he's one oflike he's up on that stage coach

lineup. Yeah, but he's alsogot hits on alternative radio, and you
know, all his sound goes inmultiple different genres and that's what they kind
of like highlight him for being ableto have the different sound for different genres.
Like why why should genres matter somuch? Like I feel like genres
only serve as a way to classifymusic that you like, just to make

it easy to identify it, Like, oh, I really like electronic sounds.
I like EDM, you know whatI mean. But I don't think
it needs to be such like astrong structured wall to where like things have
to fit into this genre like inorder. I don't know, like that
bothers me, you know, andyou see that in every genre, like
even for example, like EDM,like it's not my number one favorite style
of music. But I'm always goingto have like a firm place in my

heart for that kind of music.I've liked it for over ten years now.
I've been going to so many EDMfestivals. I still love pop DM
like I love Z you know,And if you go to like there's so
many hardcore DM heads that are like, that's not EDM, that's pop DM,
and like it is, but likeso what like there you can still
have your kind of music, butlike the Chainsmokers are still tight for whatever

they do. So yeah, Idon't know that bugs me speaking of EDM.
That kind of brings me to mynext song, Marley. This was

I don't think they know how tomiss no no, I really don't
know. I truly believe Noted areliterally some of the most underrated music producers,
not even in just DM but inmusic period. Yeah. Every time
they come out with a song,I'm like, God, I love this
and this one just like this oneput me in my feels if that's weird
to say it. It doesn't seemlike one that would do that, but

it kind of did. Like they'reessentially the song is about like that first
time you discover that you want totell someone that you love them, like
those feelings that you have for them, but you're so scared of what that
would sound like out loud and howthey might judge you. So like in

I just maybe that's because I'm someonewho like try to closet a lot of
those feelings at first, and ittakes me a long time to let that

stages of just thinking that over andover in your head, Like you want
