Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Well, a bit later today before Game five,
I'll be dropping the podcast with Lou Terminello Terminello's take
ahead of Game five, and we have a special guest,
Pag's Perspective, Ryan Pagano joining me and Lou as well
to talk about Game five, what the Knicks have done
right so far, and the reinstatement of Pete Rose by

(00:21):
Major League Baseball. He's off the bandleis what does that mean?
But right now I want to give a shout out
to Kiwan at JPA Concessions in Port Washington. Remember we've
had him on before. What's it mean to you that
you're able to do this because people do the other
coffee on their way in. I mean, listen, I'm a
people person, so I like for people to be happy.
People are happy that we are here, and you know

(00:44):
it helps them with their day. And you know, you
guys are expanding. I mean you're in Manhasset or another.
Have your worked at the other branches, haven't worked at
the other branches yet, but right now we have Manhassett
and we ad Linnbrook with the plans to expand. And
he mentioned expanding, well, actually his role has expanded as
he's now a franchising at Port Washington LR. So congratulations
Key and wishing you the best of luck as you

(01:07):
continue to grow at that concession stand. And Key one,
just let me know that there is a new deal
out five dollars for any muffin, croissant or cookie with
the off or tea. So there you go all together,
five dollars and it includes a muffin, a croissant, or
a cookie. So I just want to get that out there,

(01:29):
and again just tell them Alex Sentia from the one
that up network. Now, I've really been enthralled about how
the first few days of Pope Leo's PayPal c I
guess you'd call it is going because he's doing these
services in English and yes, Italian and Latin. I remember

(01:53):
he speaks for languages. But you know it was also
very impressed by the start of Pope Leo's run as
pope and also as an Italian American is newly sworn
in Council member Frank Morano. Congratulations Frank. And he's got
a petition out which I'm on to link below to

(02:14):
put the polemobile with Pope Leo down in the cane
of Heroes for a ticker tape parade as the first
ever American Pope. I love that, Councilman Morano or can
I call you Frank? So I don't know, but counselman.
Love that. And I feel really in good hands with
the fifty first council district in the hands of Frank Morano.

(02:35):
He does have a primary election coming up in June.
Maybe we'll get him on to talk about that. But
you are a councilman, Frank, and I'm so proud of you.
And I love this petition. I love it, and that's
why I'm sharing it with my audience today on their
here on the One Leg Up Network. And I'm also
going to drop the fact that there were stories over

(02:56):
the weekend that Cardinal Dolan did, in fact to have
a major hand in rallying support for Cardinal Prevost to
become the pope and the first American Pope. So yes,
it's it's confirmed New York City to have a hand
in electing the first American Pope literally through Cardinal Dolan.

(03:19):
I wrote about that on my WordPress. So a few
different links for you today on this brief brief update,
and then I want to tell you this for the
one leg Up on adapting and one like Up on news.
Because Center for Independence of Disabled New Yorkers is involved
in this, voting has started for the People's Money NYC
citywide participatory budgeting process. You can sign up and participate

(03:44):
at Participate dot nyc dot gov. Voting by June twenty
fifth to vote to fund last year New Yorker's voted
twenty expense projects for a total of three and a
half million dollars. What's see what they can do this
year with the People's Buddy. I love it. This is
a really good initiative by Mayor Adams and Participate dot

(04:04):
NYC dot gov is the place to go. Ceenter for
Independent Disabled New Yorkers is a great resource. I high
recommend them. And yesterday I started the Idea Spark program
with my alma mater, the Viscarti Center Back to School
with Viscardi. It feels good to say that, and we'll
be finding out ways to really bolster this podcast and

(04:25):
truly help it have One Leg Up in a lot
of different ways, So stay tuned as we go through
that course and exciting stuff here at the One Leg
Up Network. I'm Alex Garrett again. Visit Key one JPA
concessions in Port Washington, Long Island Railroad Station. Tell them
Alex Sanya and also help out my buddy, a counselman,

(04:48):
Frank Morano. Get that petition to full force so we
can get Pope Leo the fourteenth down the King of
Heroes for a tick or tape parade, and then check
out this people's money. New York City Participatory Budgeting Process
voting now in session. Terminal 's say coming up a
bit later before Game five Nicks Celtics. A lot going
