Speaker 1 (00:02):
Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Well, as I'm watching the
news today, it all makes sense why the National Guard
was deployed in DC. See once again President Trump playing
chess while everybody's scrambling trying to play checkers with him.
Everybody criticized why DC was being cracked down on, when
(00:26):
we all know now this is probably why you're telling
me the Zelenski meeting that's happening today was cooked up
overnight after the Alaska summit with Putin. You're telling me
that you're on the one leg up network. No, I
think this was planned, and I think the crackdown in
DC on the homeless, on everything going on through the
(00:49):
National Guard was in preparation for these European leaders. Do
you know who's gonna be there today all day at
the White House in Washington. Political put this out earlier today,
you're ready for this. French President Emmanuel mccrohn, UK Prime
(01:10):
Minister Kara Sturmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Mehers, Finished President Alexander Stubb,
Italian Prime Minister Georgia Maloney and NATO Secretary General Mark
Rout and European Commission President Ursula vonder Land. President Jrump
last week called the capital basically an embarrassment, and now
(01:33):
we know why because of this high stakes meeting following
the Alaska summit. It all makes sense now, and I'm
gonna come back after the summit to talk about this
because this is a huge deal. We are on the
precipice of something very important happening with the breakup of
(01:57):
this war, with the ending of this war, and we
will cover it here on one leg up with Alex Grrett,
because we are taxpayers. In addition to being adaptive athletes
or athletes or people disabilities, or celebrities or pop stars,
we're also taxpayers. And this right here is what our
tax paying dollars are paying for. A clean DC for
(02:20):
not only taurusts, but but foreign leaders. It's better than
when Obama put net yahu in through the back door
through the garbage disposal area. I remember there, you get
to walk through bag of the trash. It's much nicer
this way with the crackdown. So it all makes sense
(02:43):
now in the pre show to this major meeting, why
Trump wanted the crackdown, why he deployed the National Guard,
It just makes sense. And what I will say, what
I will say, is there so many other news I
(03:05):
want to get to before the summit really kicks off,
But I had to hit home this point that it
all makes sense why President Trump called it a national guard,
doesn't it. You have all these European foreign dignitaries who
were there to support Zelenski and maybe save them from himself. Look,
I know it is a very bad White House meeting
(03:26):
in February. We all saw it. We saw the back
and forth. But Dolenzki didn't help himself either, And so
maybe all of this being a joint effort to try
and stop the war is better? Is better? But now
on August eighteenth, twenty twenty five, it all makes sense.
(03:52):
But before the summit, I wanted to play this because
in April of twenty nineteen, I said this about Zelensky.
So imagine a comedian wins in the Ukraine. That would
be crazy. What's crazy is it actually happened. He became
president and he's had to lead Ukraine through this disastrous war.
(04:13):
And I do agree when Biden said minor incursion. We
talked about this a long time ago. That should have
been the stopping of the war, but it wasn't. It
really wasn't. Now, I don't think Trump should have called
him the boss. He could have said your boss, but
he's not the boss. He's a dictator. But he's not
wrong to blame Biden for the allowance of the small
(04:35):
incursion which has now turned into a war that, by
the way, is three years plus plus a few months old.
So this is all making sense now why he cracked
down on the DC crime, on the DC homelessness, and
he should not be faulted for that. Do you know
in New York City President at President Mayor Deblasio cleared
(04:57):
out the homeless for photo ops. Did you hear about
that story a few years ago? This is exactly what
this is about, clearing out DC to make it look
respectable for foreign leaders that are coming into the city
of DC, to our capital. That's what this was all about.
It makes sense now, It makes a total sense what
(05:21):
Trump was doing. And I'm going to bring it up
because it's died down a little bit, but now it
all makes sense why he didn't want our capital looking
embarrassing to foreign leaders in a high stakes meeting with Zelensky,
and I don't blame him one bit, And he has
(05:43):
a chance to do what other presidents have done. I'm
thinking of Reagan with Gorbachev, he has a changed to
broker piece once again, and that would be a major win.
He already should be nominated for the Noble Spies, but
that would be an amazing win if he were able
to negotiate this the right way and not count out
(06:09):
to Putin and everything that while he's putting a lot
of pressure on Zelenski. Well, Zelenski's rightfully or not rightfully,
gotten a lot of money and the war's still going on,
and I think we all hoped the war will be
squashed with all the funding we supplied Ukraine. There is
(06:29):
no doubt about it. That money was supposed to give
Ukraine one leg up in the Russian War, and it
has not totally done that yet. But I think once
this is done, you will see him also negotiate peace
with Israel and Palestine. There I said it, this is
a blueprint. If he can do this, he can also
(06:54):
navigate a true piece between Israel and Palestine and Humus
once and for all, it can happen. I think he's
using this as a blueprint for that and other conflicts
that we have to deal with. But this is going
(07:15):
to be powerful today. European leaders coming to the White House,
coming to the United of America. Whether you say, to
make sure Trump doesn't bully him, that's kind of my feeling,
but also to support the efforts of hopefully both Zelensky
and Trump. Here. It's really a hey, we're on your
(07:37):
side kind of moment, and it's time for Zelensky to
truly say, hey, we I'm going to agree to this
and in the war. That's what's got to happen here.
It's three years of a war too long. There were
so many other news. I mean, the one thing that
I was going to think of before this summit gets
(07:58):
underway is what's happening Governor hokel So, I don't know.
Just the news picked up on this story that Hochel
and even the Times has admitted this. Hochel pardoned an
illegal who was convicted of manslaughter as a teenager, as
(08:22):
reported on by the New York Times, and Homeland Security
took to X this weekend to criticize her. Rightfully so,
and I actually got a list of all the clemencies
that she offered this weekend. But the Department of Homeland
(08:47):
Security said Governor Kathy Hochel, your shameful secret is out.
Rather than putting New York to New Yorkers first, you're
protecting a criminal illegal alien their words, killer with a
rap sheet including convictions for manslaughter and criminal possession of
a firearm according to The New York Times. But New
York Times Hlkal parted an illegal who was convicted of
(09:11):
manslaughter as a teenager and now fifty two, he was partoned.
Just last month, some chiff Vadevang said that he was
shooting in self defense in a pool hall in Brooklyn.
(09:37):
He got pardoned. And it's not the only person that
got pardoned. By the way, there were thirteen individuals. Now,
some of them I could see being pardoned, like I
can live with Theodore Goodman forty three, convicted of criminal
possession of controlled substance in the fifth degree in two
(09:59):
thousand and three. A lot of these were criminal possessions
of controlled substances or criminal sales of controlled substances with
weed being legal. Can I can deal with this? But
she also let someone go who was committed of arson
(10:20):
in the fourth degree in two thousand and eight. You
gave clemency to someone who committed arson burned down an
establishment or a home and that guy gets clemency. Well,
if people will burned down buildings are allowed to be
(10:43):
clement granting clemency. Governor Hockle, you run the MTA, people
disabilities should be allowed to run, to ride the rails,
and ride the MTA subways for free. Because if you're
gonna allow a killer and an arsonist to be free,
(11:03):
why are the disabled having to pay their way. It
doesn't make sense. We are contributing to society. We shouldn't
be punished for that. While killers and arsenists are set
free in New York State, I cannot wait for the
(11:25):
LR and I have these proposed changes where the ADA
fares all day. I would love that. I think all
of us would love that, But for now we have
to deal with a thirteen dollars fare because if someone
wrote to me from the LR, we only thought the
disabled go out for medical purposes at leisure. We're also
working a working class. People's disabilities are working class. So
(11:50):
if an arsonist and a killer can be set free
by the governor who also runs the MTA, the MTA
should just let the doors open for people's disabilities. No
questionquestions asked, no questions asked. That's the way we make
it right because in this weekend alone an artist, a killer,
(12:11):
we're two of thirteen let out giving clemency, pardoned, but
keep locking the ADA door because we're the real threat here, right. Nonsense.
So I'm glad I read through that because just a
couple names in and I'm already fired up about who
(12:33):
was given clemency because it's disgusting attempted robbery. Let go
Giovannio Duniez, let go given pardons assault in the third degree.
(12:55):
Let go Susannah Morgan Thomas clemency, and then Sammy van
and Avang fifty two, convicted of manslaughter in the first
degree in nineteen ninety a legal criminal or not. You
let a murderer out, you gave them a pardon. So
(13:18):
part of me when I say people with disabilities should
now have free ride because you just let out a killer,
an arsonist, and robbers and assaulters. But we, the people
with disabilities, are a real threat. Right. Think again, Governor Hochel,
(13:40):
Think again.
