Speaker 1 (00:01):
Here's your host, Alex Garrett. All right, here's what's happened
this week on the one that up on news and
about socialists who wants everything free and who's anti Israel
by the way, and I've heard rumors he wants who
arrest Jewish people. I hope that's not true. But Zora
Mamdani upsetting the moderates on the Democratic ticket, one being

(00:28):
Andrew Cuomo. That's number one that happened this week. Operations
that led to the successful bombing of Irene's nuclear sites leaked.
More intel leaks going on at the Pentagon, and heg
Seth and Trump are trying to get to the bottom
of it, as is Pam Baldi. And oh, by the way,

(00:49):
some major Supreme court wins for Trump yesterday. And you
might not consider a win, but look, if a federal
judge does not have a power of the entire land,
and that's a win, Why are federal judges given so
much power? That to me is king you know what
they said, No, kings, that's kingdomship right there. When a

(01:11):
judge has ruled over the entire land, it shouldn't work
that way. The judicial system should not work that way.
So Trump got some big legal wins as well. But
you know what the number one thing that I saw
today that USA Today and other outlets are talking about,
how about the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos.
Give me a freaking break. New York City is on

(01:34):
the verge of electing someone that is so extreme and
to the left, and somehow all the Democrats are rallying around.
I don't understand that one, but to the left that
I'm sure even moderate Democrats will not put on the
Democrat ticket this year. We hope not anyway, New York

(01:57):
City just like to someone that's de Blasio two point,
I know and beyond. But the USA Today says, hey,
guess what Lord said as Jeff Bezos are married? Whooo
starts aunt an event? Who gives a shit? And I
will curse on the back because I can't. But who
gives a shit when we are about to elect a

(02:18):
freaking socialist to New York City? I don't give a crap.
What happened in Italy this week? Ooh mannequins mocking Jeff
Bezos floating in the venice. Who cares they could take
their gondolas and have Mamdani out there with them. I'm
dead serious. This is this is this is really bad

(02:41):
for New York. But us today, don't worry about us.
Don't worry about your headquartered city as well, you know,
because I know you got writers out here too. This
is all impacting us. And I love Curtis Lee. Well,
he's my radio mentor, and he is a man of
New York City with the Guarden Angels and just his

(03:03):
presence everywhere. I mean, you see him on Fifth Avenue
for all the parades, you see him on TV, hear
him on radio. He's the man of New York. But
in this context, even though we have an indicted mayor
that is now running again and Adams has his own

(03:24):
flaws too, Eric Adams needs to be the guy to
take on Mom Donnie, you cannot try Cuomo again. Cuomo
himself should know for the better of the city, this
was a vanity run. He wanted to see if he
can truly recover from what happened as governor. Everybody's highlighting

(03:45):
the sexual assault cases, but who really seems to care
that he also did these nursing gear home policies that
did kill a lot of people during COVID and he
made five billion dollars on a book, and he thought
he could resurrect his political career. And I was telling

(04:06):
people this week. I was telling people this week that him,
what's the conceding to Zora mam donnie, a proclaimed socialist,
a far leftist, is worse than him resigning as governor.

(04:29):
I think we can all hite him resigning. You know,
Wiener had his problems, Bill Clinton has problems. Cuomo had
his problems, but there were moderate Democrats. You just conceded
to a far left candidate. That is embarrassing that you,
in your common sense platform cannot overcome this far left

(04:51):
mum donnie. It's embarrassing Andrew Cuomo and Sliva. I admire
his guts. I admire his push to try and be elected.
You know, he ran in twenty one against Adams as well,
try and be elected against Adams. But something's got to
break here. You cannot have four candidates that and three

(05:15):
of them trying to stop mum donnie. That will split
a ticket. That will split the ticket. So I really
believe as the rumblings of Sliwa getting a job in
the White House to try and get him out of
the city mayor race. We know Sleeva won't take it

(05:36):
because he wants to try and beat Adams. M mum, Donnie.
But the strategy is the strategy here should be the
egos are put aside for the better of New York City.
Let me tell that one more time. The egos are

(05:57):
put aside for the better of New York City. Quota
should realize that he got embarrassed in the Democrat He
can't even win his own party's nomination. He's not beloved anymore.
I remember twenty twenty, he was the beloved darling if
you will have the Democrats, they loved him, They loved

(06:18):
every press conference. He won a freaking Emmy for those
press coverages five years ago. And then he had to
resign about a year later in disgrace, and it came
out that he would have find but a book about
how he quote unquote led the city. I still never

(06:38):
forget when the USNS hope was on the Hudson River
being unused. That was a waste of resources. But I'm
glad Trump send it here. But why didn't Quomo use it?
There were so many politics involved with the the COVID
crisis that we forgot that there was also some disgrace

(07:01):
to it too, that he made five billion dollars an
Emmy for his nursing home policies that kill people. And
so at the same time of that, I did not

(07:22):
hear Mom Donnie's reaction to what we did to Iran,
but I'm sure he, like AOC, thought it's an impeachable offense,
which it's not. It is not when we really save
the world, I think again by doing what we did
to Iran's nuclear facilities, further destabilizing them and obliterating a

(07:46):
few of them actually, but it wasn't enough to destabilize
and and really get a win. The media had to
then say all the operations and all the leaks that
went behind it, causing the Pentagon and Trump again to sputter,
and those leakers should be escorted out of the Pentagon.

(08:09):
I said that the last time. I'll say it again,
and I'll say it every time there are leakers there,
and I pray Defense Secretary of Hexath does that swiftly.
But we were on the verge of further involvement this
week after our smart, smart move to destabilize and obliterate

(08:36):
nuclear facilities from Iran, but no Sanchez Bezos Jeff Bezos
marriage is top billing because who cares about real life
situations and real life stories? Right? The Jeff Bezos Lauren
Sanchez Bezos wedding should not even be on anybody's top ten.

(08:59):
With everything we're going through this Big Beautiful Bill, do
you know that there were senators that we're talking about
what was actually in it? And I have with me here. See,
this is a long I've been doing, waiting to do
a one leg up on news. I just haven't had

(09:19):
a chance. I've been hoping to talk about this with
you because there was an intriguing op ed in the
New York Post this week by one of the senators
about Medicaid cuts and the scare tactics around them. And
I'll tell you that in one second. In an article

(09:40):
to the New York Post this week entitled don't buy
the lies about the GOP's plan for Medicaid, We're actually
strengthening it, I found this really interesting from Brett Guthrie,
who is the representative actually of Kentucky and chairman of

(10:12):
the House Energy Committee. So how is Representative Guthrie? And
he wrote fully that in the Big Beautiful Bill, they're
going to extend tax cuts for Americans, invest in our
military and border security, while cutting waste, fraud, and abuse

(10:32):
and entitlement spending. Here's the line of this article, which
I'm going to attach in the podcast that really struck
with me. He said he wants to refocus Medicaid to
better serve the most vulnerable, which I think we can
all applaud. He wrote. You may have heard misinformation that

(10:56):
work requirements are just really a sneaky way to take
away health care from hardworking America or even people with disabilities.
Let me set the record straight. Repcut three wrote, this
policy applies only to able bodied, unemployed adults who have
chosen not to work, and there's a lot of that.

(11:16):
There should be some restrictions on who can get Medicaid
if they're able bodied and can't work. I don't buy
the whole party line if you will that, and look,
we want to say funding, We want the funding to
be correct for those who need Medicaid in the exam community.

(11:38):
But I won't buy the fear mongering that goes on
during all these things. Do you know at the D
D and C Coalition event there were some that were
actually applauding the MAHA movement to help those disabilities. If
you could believe that some in the disabled community think
make America Healthy Again is working, that's impressive to me.

(12:07):
And while we do want the funding. Here's where he
outlines this bill. You are exempt if you're medically frail,
which includes anyone who's blind, disabled, battling the chronic substance
use disorder, or living with a serious or complex and
complex medical condition like cancer. So basically, you won't have

(12:35):
your aid taken away if you truly need it. If
you're a former foster youth requirement under twenty six, the
requirements don't apply, but the policy is targeting. There's a
subset of fully able adults who are voluntarily choosing not

(12:56):
to work or get back to their communities. Now I
understand there was something that was scrapped with this medicaid
portion of the bill anyway, which should allow for its passing.
By the way, I gotta say this, the big beautiful

(13:16):
bill is signed by July fourth. Is that like the
next Declaration of Independence two undred forty nine years later?
Is that what he's trying to maneuver here, Like the
signing of the declaration two hundred and forty nine years ago.
I feel like that's what he's tried to get out here,
which which I find interesting. So that's number number two,
and I guess number three as well, the Big Beautiful Bill.

(13:39):
But no, the Lauren Sanchez Jeff Bezos wedding is way
more important than this big beautiful bill, right, and then
this and then this. There are so many stories that
should be covered. Because I've said on here before, I'm
hoping the ice raids are very precise and that we're
actually targeting those who have truly committed a crime while

(14:03):
being here illegally, and I mean a violent crime, I
mean a violent crime. But the Cato Institute did some
very interesting research and found and found this was fascinating,

(14:23):
that the vast majority of ICE raids, as I pull
up the story here, are targeting those who committed and
rounding up those who have not committed a violent crime

(14:46):
or convicted of a violent crime, according to the new
data from the Cato Institute, as reported on by NBC
seven San Diego. As the story goes, if you could
believe this stat, ninety three percent of April detained by
ICE have no violent criminal conviction. President Trump, I understand

(15:12):
you want to get the violence out. So what is
going on here? Of the two hundred four this is
I did not know this too. Two hundred four thousand,
two hundred and ninety seven people booked into detention since
the fiscal year began, Ninety three percent were never convicted
of a violent offense and sixty five percent had no

(15:34):
criminal conviction whatsoever. So that being said, there should be
some changes going on here to tailor these raids so
that the stats are showing that these raids are doing
what he now peoples, I really promised to get out everybody,

(15:56):
and that seems to be what he's doing. And I
don't necessarily agree with everybody being deported and sent back.
I believe those are hard work getting committed to making
a better life yere. Should be given the option and
the ability and the financial ability to become legalized here.

(16:21):
Then if they refuse to do that, then I don't know.
They should not be here if they don't even want
to do that. But if they are given the option
to take it, yes they should be given that option.
But let me make this clear. I respect law enforcement
and ICE and what they're doing, and what I have
to believe is there's a list of people that they

(16:45):
are suspecting did commit something. And we should never stop
law enforcement from doing their job. So if you see
a localized agent rounding up someone, I would say, and

(17:06):
you might not ruin me on this, don't block them,
Let them do their job, Let the system and the
process work itself out. Then we'll find out about the
ninety three percent. But you don't know that unless these
people are unless these law enforcement agencies are allowed to

(17:28):
do their job, then you can debate after if that
was the right move or not, because I presume if
they're found to have done nothing, hopefully they'll be able
to go back to their communities. I do it Forno
of sure Shore Roads smear Bagel is allowed to go

(17:50):
back to that community. At Schmeer Bagel, it was an
interesting mood when I went there on Tuesday to check
out what's been going on and the defense updating all that,
and I'm sure we're getting a lot of that around
the country. So the stunning numbers of ninety three percent

(18:13):
is indeed stunning. But I do believe that ICE agents
should be allowed to do their job before and not
be attacked for doing their job. So media outlets that
like I saw with News twelve and the Bronx or Brooklyn,
and one of those News twelve outlets showed the detention

(18:34):
center where they're housing a lot of these ICE detainees.
Do these networks want ICE agents to be in trouble
by rabid protesters that are causing chaos and not even
protest rabid rioters that join the innocent protesters. Do they
want that? Because if they're ICE agents attacked at any

(18:56):
of these facilities because a network broadcasts that, that is
blood on that network's hand for talking about it, because
then you're gonna tip off those that yes, they're innocent protests.
We can agree there are peaceful protests, but then the
rioters come in and they want to do more damage

(19:17):
and harmonize agents. And I don't care what uniform a
law enforcement is wearing. Each one deserves respect to do
their job and to let the courts and the system
play it out. So networks, if you are advertising where
these intentions in it are, stop it. That's not helping

(19:40):
law enforcement or America have one leg up. Because they're
the same networks that think that Jeff Bezos and Lourd
Bezostras is so important it trumps everything. It doesn't on

(20:05):
the ground news and on the ground situations are more
important to talk about. And the safety of law enforcement
of people, disabilities of Israel, of the world from Iranian
nuclear activity. That's way more important than some stupid wedding

(20:34):
on some stupid you know, waterfront. I mean, it's beautiful
water front, but you know what I mean in the
context Bezos is old news networks. So let's not give

(20:55):
too much attention to that, and let's not take our
eye off the ball of what's really going on, and
let's work harder to have one leg up for Americans,
whether in media or whatever you might be in. That

(21:18):
should be the priority as we hit year two forty
nine of this very young United States of America.
