Speaker 1 (00:02):
Here's your host, Alex Garrett. All Right, Well, after taking
time to gather my thoughts here on the Lonelangup Network
about what's transpire between Israel and Iran, I want to
take a little bit of time to talk about this
conflict because I originally believe that, you know, Israel was

(00:25):
acting on its own. We didn't really support Israel. But
as facts have come out and things have been said,
it seems like yes, the US was supporting Israel, even
if not officially, but by providing the resources needed because
they knew this strike was going to happen. In other words,
I've come to the conclusion Israel did not act on

(00:46):
its own like say a Russia, who did act on
its own against Ukraine. By the way, I believe the
Iranian regime deserves to be wiped off the planet. The
country of Iran is made of good Iranian I mean,
there are good people in Iran that want to be
as free as you know, Israel wants to be from

(01:06):
the violence, from the threats of violence that the Iranian
government axon. And I have comfort knowing that the Israeli
government dig coordinate and consult with the US in one
way or the other. In fact, you could see that

(01:26):
when they were helping Israel stop the missiles. Also, did
anybody complain that Iran we're shooting missiles out of nowhere?
Last year? I mean, like, oh, this out of nowhere,
This is unbelievable. How surprising is it? Though? Israel Is
has been playing this for a while, and I think
they might have thought an attack was coming, and then

(01:48):
this earlier today the G seven summit, Donald Trump, President
Trump said this about the Israeli Iran conflict?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
What have you heard?

Speaker 1 (01:58):
What you heard from the Iran?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
They'd like to talk, but they should have done that before.
I had sixty days and they had sixty days. And
on the sixty first day, we don't have a deal.
They have to make a deal, and it's painful for
both parties. But I'd say Iran is not winning this
war and they should talk, and they should talk immediately

(02:21):
before it's too late.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
And what would you say, in your opinion, what would
it take for the US to get involved in this
conflict militarily.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I don't want to talk about it, and you don't
think on day sixty one Israel felt they had the
green light to do what they did the other day now,
of course, I'm worried about Jewish Americans here because there
are rabid, rabid anti Israel folks who will tear down
any Jewish person despite the facts. And I pray that

(02:52):
the Jewish population is once again protected after these attacks
against Iran, because, for God's sake, we just saw two
embassy staffers, two embassy staffers for Israel shot to death
in cold blood. We don't want any more of that.
We don't need any more of that. So I'm going
to voice that concern here on the one le Up network.

(03:15):
But on day sixty one of them not coming to
the table and agreeing to a deal with the United States,
you don't think Israel felt they had the green light.
I think they did. And here's what also gives me
hope for Jewish Americans and Israel and really God's handedness.

(03:39):
Listen to this story of a hero Jewish firefighter who
happened to rescue a torah from one of the local
synagogue's fires this morning.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
A Jewish firefighter and says he's no hero despite running
into a burning Long Island synagogue to rescue a sacred
Torus scroll from the flames as petrified, hungregants watched from
outside while praying for a miracle. That hero firefighter Michael
Farka joins us, Now, what an incredible story. And obviously

(04:11):
the picture of you after you rescued the torah has
sort of shot all the way all around the internet.
Tell us about that moment.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
The moment of the picture was well into an operation,
and you know, we don't really think about it in moments,
but you wake up in the morning, you have a
cup of coffee, and the alarm goes off and you
just respond. You know, we get onto a scene and
you see heavy smoke coming from a building and all
you can think is, Okay, how are we going to

(04:42):
attack this. As part of the truck team, which is
second do truck on the scene, we were in charge
of access, opening doors, making sure we have ventilation ladders,
egress things like that. We attacking the fire on the
first floor from the outside and we make our way

(05:04):
inside to do some searches on the second floor. We
cleared out that first floor, which is really more of
an entryway, and into the lobby. Once all that was done,
i mean we're talking about a half hour into the operation.
Once that picture was taken and we went into the
basement and was instructed to take a door that was
locked because you need to search for fire, and that's
what we're doing. There were reports of fire in the area,

(05:28):
heavy smoke, and we had trouble taking that door at first.
But most people call me a little stubborn, and I
didn't want to give up on that door. There's really
no signage. We had no idea that there was a
synagogue inside. You know, this is a taxpayer building, seven
or eight stores that are there, and you know, we're
just going in. It's a beauty salon, a jewelry store.

(05:48):
We don't know what's going on in that basement.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
J you immediately recognized at that point, once you got through
that door that this was a synagogue.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
Absolutely, So this is great Orthodox community. You know, Ross
and Synagogue is you know, my temple, and you know
you recognize it right away. You see the pews, I
see the arc and my instinct really was just to
you know, open that arc seat there was a tora inside,
and sure enough it was, and you know, I kind

(06:17):
of clutched that grabbed that in and took it out.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Obviously incredibly meaningful for that community. Great heroism by you.
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
For sharing your story with us, Michael, We really appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Good to have a Jewish firefighter who knew exactly what
to do in that moment.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Awesome stuff.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Thank you, Thank you.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
I went on Brian kill Me.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
That was on Fox and Friends eight days ago. Pretty
miraculous moment. And thank God for that firefighter to save
that Torah. Now over the weekend we had a variety
of things happening. I want to first shout out this
moment in the military parade honoring twohundred fifty years I'm

(06:55):
the military on Flag Day June fourteenth, where President Trump
and did a new group into our United States Army
as a president first r nord the boarding for duty.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Sir, ready to commence the ceremony as.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Directed, I state your name, do solemnly swear that I
will support and defend the Constitution of the United States
of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That I

(07:40):
will bear true faith.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
An allegiance to the same, and that.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I will obey the orders of the President of the
United States.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
And the orders.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations, lessons,
and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God, Congratulations, congratulations,

(08:24):
welcome to the United States Army and have a great life.
Thank you very much, have a great life.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Now, I bet you didn't hear that anywhere else on
the mainstream media. That's why I want to play right
here on the Walling Up Network. And to wrap up today,
I have to say New York City exercise their First
Amendment right better than the West Coast. The East Coast
edited better than the West Coast this weekend. Because if
you were one of the many in the No King protests,

(09:00):
and whatever you feel about that protest, we do have
a right to exercise our voices if we're displeased. And
for those that felt it and felt called to protest
and did it peacefully, I commend you here on the
One Leg Up Network. You truly showed we have one
leg up over LA when it comes to peaceful protesting,

(09:22):
and god dang it, I want to have one leg
up over LA and everything, whether it's peaceful protesting or sports,
I want to have one leg up over them. It's time.
So maybe that's a good start to show how we
can peacefully voice our upset, our descent. And I say
our as a people, not personally, because you know, I

(09:46):
do think, I do think that the kings of today
are really the federal judges who have rule over the
whole land. How does one federal rogue ruling dictate what
goes on in the entire land. The no king's protests
should have really also been directed at the judges that

(10:07):
get to have say over the whole land. One judge,
one judge says everything for the land. That's not judicial,
that's dictatorial. If we're going to raid against those who
are violent illegals, let me clarify that violent illegals. We
need to get those people off the streets. And we

(10:28):
have an import Washington with the man who overstated his visa.
I have to say this, My heart is with smear
bagels this weekend because right in Port Washington's backyard Fernando
Mahea swept up and taken in by ice. And I

(10:52):
believe if you overstay a visa, you should be able
to wrect that and not be swept up in a
raid that is meant for violent illegals. I want to
believe that's many for violent illegals, not those who simply
overstay a visa while trying to make a better life.

(11:15):
But where I can sympathize with Fernando. It's not only
because we've met him personally, but we we also have
to have it where fees to become Americans are not
exorbitant but literally affordable. That's where we can make a
difference here. Instead of sweeping up and doing all the

(11:38):
dramatics and all the flair, just make it affordable, because
I believe Fernando here is a hard working, you know, immigrant,
and you might tag the word illegal on there, As
far as I'm gonna he's an immigrant that provides for
his family, is great in the community. And I hope

(12:01):
there's justice for Fernando, and I hope they can help
him rectify this situation. And you know, bureaucracy is so
crazy it could be a paperwork issue too, So I
hope that after all the theatrics are done, they can
help him get his affairs in order and that he

(12:26):
can easily remain here and be part of the Port
Washington community. And it's funny because I don't often say
those who overstay should stay, but this is a different
situation because when you know someone, it hits differently, and

(12:53):
I think we should help Fernando have one leg up
instead of trying to port him back because he's great
for the community, great for Shmeir, and the justice of
the world would be to have him back at Schmeir
as a store manager, because then that would show this
administration is only after the violent illegals, not those who

(13:18):
do commit a crime of a sort by overstaying, but
can easily fix it. They need to be helped, not harmed,
to have one leg up for their community.
