Speaker 1 (00:02):
Here's your host, Alex Garrett. All right, well, on the
one look up Alex news side of things today, I
have to say we're gonna give it a breather on
the Epstein files. I want to see them released. The
House is supposed to approve them. The release of them.
Then I'll react here because all this is right now speculation.
(00:23):
Just show us what's in the files. Then I'll react
with hardcore evidence. But here's the thing that's fascinating me
right now. All one, look up, Alex News. Hey, did
you know the UN Security Council approved Trump's peace plan
for Gaza. That's right, the UN Security Council, which I
thought should have been abolished so to be honest, actually
(00:47):
said let's adopt the peace plan for Gaza, and we're
gonna keep an eye on that as that unfolds. But
the other story that I think is interesting is this
two thousand dollars dividend. As you may know by now
you're on one look a Balax and elsewhere the UH
(01:08):
the country was promised two thousand dollars tariff dividends as
a way to offset the costs the tariffs have done
to the goods and services to the foods to the groceries.
But the question was when, And this weekend we got
an answer from the mastermind of this idea, President Donald
(01:28):
Trump himself.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
It's a chucker outside the American see those times will
be in time for Christinas all the South. Were got
to know that for this year.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
It'll be next year.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
So do you haven't time for sometime during the year
next year. It's a lot of money, but we've taken
in a lot of money from teriffs. The tariffs allow
us to give a dividend if we want to do that. Now,
we're going to do a dividend, and we're also going
to be reducing it. We have because of fighting and others.
We have thirty seven So we're going to be doing
(02:02):
a dividend because people.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Will to enjoy and spend and do what they want.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
But we're also going to be reducing deadly. Now.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
The interesting thing is about this is there's no actual
proposal on the table. It's just an idea. Trump's been
floating to do the two thousand dollars dividend. I don't
see why the Supreme Court would block it, but I
do see how a two thousand dollars difendend check in
twenty twenty six would be so impactful for people, and
(02:34):
I think that he needs to go through with this.
I think that these dividends would pay dividends for the
Americans that have been struggling because of all these cost
tikes due to the tariffs. There's no doubt there have
been cost tikes. And the other idea was going to
(02:54):
be maybe doing it a different way. It could be
in the form of tax cuts such as no tax
on tips or overtime or potentially direct payments. And that's
because economists are saying tariffs could increase by two thousand dollars,
increase cost of goods for the average house by two
(03:17):
thousand dollars, so this would be offsetting those costs. Look
I like the idea. I like the idea, and can
we just put the Epsteine Files drama aside and say, well,
there's something positive to look forward to. Trump tax cuts.
Trump cuts through the form of a tax dividend of
through a tariff dividend of two thousand dollars. Honestly, who
(03:42):
would you want that? Who wouldn't want that? And I
want to go back and cover the one leg U
award of the day. Yesterday was the runner of the
five K. Today it is the United States, the United
Nations Security Council. Do you want to know why, Because,
(04:06):
as I mentioned earlier, they're approving Trump's twenty point police
peace plan for Gaza, which turns the plan into an
international mandate, allowing securities to stall, security and reconstruction for
measures to move forward. And it's a major victory for administration.
(04:32):
Diplomacy rates the New York Post as it struggles to
implement its blueprint for what Trump has said would be
a new down for them. At least provides a legal
mandate for key parts of the plan, including persuading other
countries to provide troops for an international security force that
will take over security in half of Gaza, from which
Israel has withdrawn, and a statement after the vote, US
(04:56):
Ambassador of the UN Michael Waltz expressed thanks to the members
for joining us in charting a new course in the
Middle East for Israelis and Palestinians and all people in
the region. The fifteen Council members had remained unclear during
a week of tense negotiations, with many demanding more clarity
(05:18):
on the peace plan. Trump introduced this past September, if
you remember, including an early role for the Palestinian authority
in rebuilding Gaza and a firmer commitment to an eventual
Palestinian state. That's what was in the plan. Interesting several
countries have voted in favor, said in remarks following that
(05:40):
the vote the vote that they still sought those commitments
and would be watching carefully to see progress. Hamas and
his statement said the resolution does not make the level
of Palestinian political and humanitarian demands. How are you to
talk about humanitarian demands? Amas, shut the FOP, man, shut
(06:03):
the FOP. Really, we should blow you out of the water.
Humanitarian demands? Who were you to talk about humanitarian demands?
But the turning in the weapons as part of the
police plan demands Hamas must remain an internal national manner.
(06:29):
So they're not going anywhere anytime soon. We knew that.
But hopefully the UN Security Council can approve this. Since
there it's approval, it can move forward and we can
disarm Hamas, and we can make it a better region
than Gods, and we can make it livable. That's why
this approval gives me hope and gives me hope that
the UN isn't too far gone and too far into
(06:52):
Semitic because that plan benefits Israel too. So good on
the UN Security Council for approving this measure, and you
get the one Lagup Award of the Day presented by
one Lega Ballots for November eighteenth, twenty twenty five.
