Speaker 1 (00:01):
Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Turns out the digital footprint
that I've been talking about here sometimes is deeper than
I think. I mean, I went on a rabbit hole
after I saw the Bob Costas, as AI put it,
Sports broadcaster Bob Costas was a guest on One Look
(00:25):
Up Alex Garrett's podcast. That's what AI said, and I
was a little taken Aback. I'm like, man, AI knows
how much we're keeping the show updated and who's joining.
And then I decided to go further into all of this,
and there's AI overview on Terminello's tape and Ryan Gano
Pegg's perspective. It even says Alex Garrett don't have along
(00:49):
the line as one ing up Alex is engaged to
Gabriella Pisani. I mean, the digital footprint is out there.
It knows my mom is lawyer's super Rocquay, and I
know it's because I've written about her and had her
on my show and then also talk about my dad
and it actually is John Garrett, Alex Garrett's father, which
(01:13):
is just kind of weird to me. How good point
they are. But here's the one very interesting thing that
I notice of all this AI overview stuff. Alex Gartt
is an adaptive athlete who connects with guests to share
stories that he feels deserve more attention. And that's true,
(01:36):
but the I don't want to say validation, but the
acknowledgement that I'm an adaptive athlete is out there and
that means a lot. Because I do try and be
athletic and am athletic. I just don't play as much
as I want to. But for that to get recognition
(01:56):
means a lot. All this to say, if there's ever
day you wonder if you matter, you wonder if you're
making an impact, Just look up your social media handle
and you'll see that you, too, are making a digital footprints.
And now that I know all of this and how
(02:17):
they're tracking what we're saying on our podcast and all
that other stuff, it makes me want to just talk
more positivity into the world and not so much bashing
anybody or hardcore criticizing anybody, because we want to leave
the world and we want to put out in the
(02:39):
world some more positivity rather than negativity. So I would
save you're a podcaster and you do have a footprint,
just be mindful of what you say it's out there.
Gemini or whoever's doing AI is tracking what you're saying.
And so speak goodness, speak positivity, speak even kindness into
(03:10):
the world. And that's how you have a positive digital
foot print, a positive digital imprint. You know. I aiied
James call me and Alex Garrett because had done this
piece podcast in May about how arresting Colly would help
America have one like up. It's almost like I called it,
(03:33):
and I still say, this isn't bashing, this isn't being negative.
But he stepped in it when he made a threat
to the President of the United States when he said
eighty six forty seven, and four months later, here we are.
He is the first FBI director arrested. And it's funny
(03:56):
because they had said Jay Huiger Hoover was not a
nice guy or there was some odd with him, and
of course all the directors over the years. Comy is
the first. Comy is the first that says a lot
about his demeanor as character. And I said this before.
(04:18):
It should have been with the memo leaks that he
was arrested four years ago. He used his position of
authority to leak to the media to undermine I think
(04:39):
the American people in a way and to certainly throw
off elections. And I'm not a Hillary fan, but how
do you after clearing her on July fifth, twenty sixteen,
then write a letter saying, oh, by the way, we
found some stuff on the laptop and though it's not
(05:01):
prosecutable that you should know about this type of thing
that threw the election off into Trump's favor one way
or the other. He was just incompetent, but he was
doing it unlawfully, and as his indictment show, and maybe
we'll prove call me is getting what he deserves. But
(05:29):
it shouldn't have taken a threat to the President of
the United States in such a tumultuous time for us
to get here. Of all the leaders in Washington, I
think he was the biggest one to abuse his power
of authority. I think you could say this is political revenge.
(05:51):
And I think I did mention that this stuff Trump's
tided to get back at him for the stupid dossier
and for the collusion. But that's all philosophical. I mean
the practical stuff he did. It was an injustice that
(06:13):
on July fifth, twenty sixteen, he cleared Hillary Clinton of
all charges. It felt like an injustice and a surprise move.
It was an injustice that while he was doing all
of this clearing of Hillary and trying to get after Trump,
he missed the tips on the Marjorie Stone Douglas shooting.
(06:37):
I mean, the FBI got tip after tip and nothing
got done about it. And then the biggest thing that
gets to me is he leaked to the media through
his friend or I guess he hired someone to do it. Craven.
He even sounds craven every time he talks. And so
(07:03):
I'm tying this in now because I do want it
on record and the digital footprint that I think, indeed,
arresting James call me will help America will look up
if he had made that. If he didn't make the threat,
this wouldn't be an issue because you know, I guess
maybe they viewed it as Washington as usual corruption and politics.
(07:25):
But I got really pissed when he leaked to the
media like that. He just shouldn't have been allowed to
say and do all the things he was able to
do with no repercussion, with no repercussion. And I hope
(07:51):
that even if he's not using in jail time, that
something happens, because yes, he can't just be allowed to
speak un with me like that firstly, but he should
(08:12):
be set an example should be set of how the
FBI should be run, and leaking to the media is
not how the FBI should be run. And of all
the things you could take him to task for, that's
the one I do, I want to and I'm glad
he's finally facing the music on this. It took a
(08:36):
dumb threat, a threat nonetheless to finally act. But just
four months after I said arresting him would help America
have one leg up boom Cash were telling the FBI,
make the case, and they arrest him and indict him.
(09:03):
And that is how you holne. Someone responsible for leaving
a very harmful and negative footprint like James Goley is
clearly left in this nation, and it should be a
warning sign that if you use the digital footprint that
(09:26):
you have in a negative way, you will be held accountable.
I saw Scott Jennings this week. He is sure as
hell reported Keith Oberman for that threat, and I'm glad
(09:47):
he did. But Oberman another example of a negative way
to use your digital footprint. And I hope and pray
that the threats that do come into the FBI and
that they do monitor continue to be foiled. Even those
(10:14):
that think they're in an ivory tower because oh my god,
they're Keith Overen. Oh oh my god, there James calling me.
They're untouchable right now, They're very touchable. They're human beings,
and they shouldn't think because they have high standing in
society it's okay to post stupid threats in a time
(10:36):
like this, a negative digital footprint should hold consequence. And
so in those two examples, those are two men that
chose to use their digital footprint and their impact on
the world in a negative way, in a very harmful way.
(10:56):
Let's be better than them. Let's think positive, Let's think prayer,
and let's think unity not division here on the one
like a Balox network,
