Speaker 1 (00:01):
Here's your host, Alex Garrett.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
All Right, well, I had some breaking news crossed my wire,
and it's not the newsy kind you'd think. It's actually
a follow up to a conversation I had just a
couple of weeks ago about, you know, making sure your
kidneys are okay and how to live through kidney disease
and the fight, the heroic fight Nick Mangled had with

(00:30):
it since two thousand and five. Six and good RX
came out with this story today, The five best drinks
if you have bad kidneys, and a few to avoid.
The five drinks and juices that can help your kidneys
function at your best. Water, as I only drink one
or two bottles, my doctor actually coming to five or six.

(00:52):
But about sixty to seventy percent of your body is water,
and your kidneys rely on water to make urine, that's
what they write, and it just keeps everything flowing. So
water's number one. Number two is low fat milk. I'm
lactose intolerant. Maybe you can enjoy milk as for yourself.

(01:15):
But here's the one that I found interesting because, as
people know around these parts, I drink a lot of coffee.
Now I'm sure they mean the very black coffee with nothing,
no additives, nothing in there. But they say the third
best drink to have is coffee. Participants who drank one
or more cups of coffee daily had a lower risk

(01:35):
of death from kidney disease compared to people who never
drink coffee.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
So Ryan, I'll be around for a while. That's good about.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Another study found that people who drink three cups of
coffee a day had even a lower risk of disease.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Now why am I bringing this up?

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Because I do have one kidney and you can google
Gemini and sure enough, Gemini writes that in their AI
description of my disability. I guess I've talked about it
a few times. But they do say avoid. Yeah, avoid
excessive amounts of coffee, drink plain black coffee, or even

(02:12):
consider drinking decaf. They say green tea is good for
you too, because green tea contains the kettekin epigaluctin three galley.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Which may be helped for some people with kidney disease.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
E G O G and then and then unsweetened cranberry juice.
You may have heard cranberry juice is good for the kidneys.
Cranberries are rich in flavonoids another type of antioxidant. So
there's your top five to drink according to good RX.
And I'd love to get a sponsorship with them. Maybe
we can pitch them and say, hey, I just covered

(02:47):
one of your stories, Send me more and I'll keep
promoting the good RX news of the day if you will,
for the adapting crowd and the health crowd. And this
was written by doctor Cherylyn Davis in NYC and edited
by doctor Kittie Golden. So I didn't really see the

(03:13):
bad ones, although they say carbonated water is not bad
for your kidneys, but other ingredients incarbinated beverages may be harmful.
Lemon water with regular water fresh lemons in there is
good for the kidneys.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
And beet juice. I'm not a big fan of beet juice,
but they're not bad for your kidneys either.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
The bottom line, they write, when it comes to keeping
your kidneys healthy, what you drink makes a difference. To
help protect your kidneys, drink beverages like plain water, coffee
with low fat milk, and.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
On sweetened cranberry juice.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
And of course they say the research is always evolving,
but I just found it interesting on a day where
I just downed another iced coffee, like another Tuesday, well Thursday,
if you get my drift. But it's like another day
in the life of me. It's interesting to know that
moderate amount of coffee is fine. Maybe less sugars and

(04:10):
flavors would be helpful, but anyway.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I'm hopeful.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I'm hopeful with this news that I can be inspired
to take better care of my renal, the one kidney
function I have. The doctor always says there's another one,
but we don't know if it's functional or not, so
there are technically two, but one's just really not just
sitting there.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I do think it helps a little bit.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
But anyway, in my case, I need to see this.
And I know God places these stories in my inbox
for a reason, and that's why I want to share
with you here on a Thursday, December fourth. And you know,
it's a good time to mention this because people are
gonna go out have their fun. Just be mindful during
the Christmas holiday season, Honika season to drink what's good

(04:55):
for you. And you know, I'm not touched an actual
alcoholic drink since May of twenty twenty four, and.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
I think that's kept me going here.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
In the long run, and now this story adding to that,
I'll keep it in mind, I'll put it in a practice.
I'll let you know how it goes, and you let
me know how it goes for you if you do
have some kidney issues, if some of these studies that
they show are inspiring you to get your health back
on track. Now there is one new bit that I
really want to talk about today. It's not the narco terrorist,

(05:29):
because that's what it is. But this was an interesting
story from the New York Post, and there's going the
one like a alex News feature of the day. Two.
Apparently to the New York Post, a Chinese agent is
saying Governor Hokeel is much more obedient than.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Now this story comes out in what's about to be
a heated election year. Accused Chinese agent Linda's son boasted
that Governor Hokell is much more obedient than Andrew Cuomo.
The former top state official who allegedly served as a
Chinese agent once and I remember the story, once bragged

(06:12):
that Kathie Holkle was much more obedient than lieutenant governor
than Governor Cuomo. Remember she was lieutenant governor of Di
Cuomo Sun had convinced Hockel, who served as the Lieutenant governor,
to film a lunar New Year video touting China's New
York consulate. When she made the shocking comment, the accused

(06:36):
Beijing mole wrote to China Councilor official Liua Lee in
twenty twenty one, she is much more obedient than the governor.
I'm sorry, Governor Hokele, You're now being shown to sympathize
and to sand with a socialist who just won in
New York City, and now you're being called obedient to China,

(07:00):
at least to Phonic. I hope you jump on this story.
In fact, I'm gonna tag you on this because you
need to jump on this story that Governor Hokeel is
being touted as obedient to one of our enemies, to Chida.
I'm telling you her political downfall's coming, if not in

(07:23):
the primary, hopefully in November. But the Chinese officials asked
Cuomo to film the video, but Sun told them she
could likely get Hoco.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
To particpate instead. Where she's right, the LG can probably
do it. I didn't like.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Cuomo the way into the pandemic, but I will tell
you against all our enemies. He does sound more common
sense than Hokeel and Mom Donnie put together. Now, I
wonder what hok is gonna have to say about this report.
I hope someone puts it on her desk and says, hey,
did you see this?

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Because this isn't good.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
And this goes along the line of obedient to donors.
Look how many kickbacks she got for the Buffalo Bills,
stadium and other things that's been going on, and they don't.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Endure her campaign. She's obedient to people that.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
And now apparently in China, but to people who just
elevate her rise through the government through kickbacks. So just
I guess add this a list, but make it a
top of the priority. Note eleast to Phonic that Governor
Hokeel is known to be obedient, obedient to China more

(08:50):
so than Governor Cuomo. That's not a red flag heading
into twenty twenty six for her.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Then, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
I don't know why we keep voting all these people,
and Lee's Ellen were in a hell of a campaign.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
I think Stefana could do the same. But if the
city folks can.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Just watch how all these people they elect, they elect
are here to backslide us or down down, downgrade us,
regress us, then we be better off because if we
get actual people in here that want to help the
city grow, you know, this is a bad mark.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
This is a bad mark.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
And so here she is standing with Mom Donnie. Now
she's being called obedience China, and I one more thought.
Last night was the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting, God blessed mayor.
Mayor like Mom Donnie, you better keep that I went
last night in case it was the last Rockefeller tree
lighting four years.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Because this guy.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Has his eye on eliminiting a lot of things like parades,
like traditions that are the fab work of New York City.
Just don't don't elemente all that a mare like Mum Donnie.
And whatever you do, do not be obedient to anyone
but the City of New York. And most importantly, I

(10:16):
guess I should start where I ended. Be obedient to
your health, be obedient to your kidneys like I have
to be.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
I won't keep debating and blabbering on.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
But we don't do it if we don't say obedient
to our health, not to China.
