Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Well, you know I've been with Saleing Media
for twelve years and here the one Lookout Network.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I just have to say, there are.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Moments in this career where I feel like God's had
me behind the board when he needed me there the most. Yes,
I love filling in on the occasion with the Joe
Piscopo Show, and of course Arthur out every Wednesday and
other days and whatnot. But filling in this past Monday

(00:32):
for Eric Hanson, who was with Mike Gallagher down in Phoenix,
was very uh.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Spiritual to me.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Because what Mike did on Monday following the Charlie Kirk
memorial by meticulously playing a SoundBite of everybody's speech that spoke,
and the way he did it, it just felt like
a very spiritual moving experience to be part of behind

(01:07):
the board in a moment like that, I felt it
was so necessary to have every element hit right on time,
right on queue, to make sure no breaks from this,
to make.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Sure no uh clips were cut off.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
It just had to flow perfectly, and by God's grace
it did, and by God's grace it did. So I'm
going to drop the link to the entire three hour
memorial recap or special if you will, because I think
you should listen to how Mike Gallagher honored his Salem

(01:46):
radio colleague. And I think personally it was fitting that
I was behind the board for that. It was a
moment where I feel like, yes, I'm meant to be
behind the board for this. My hand was supposed said
guy fly the plane, as Mike would say, an engineer
all the way through, and it's a show in a

(02:09):
moment I won't ever forget. And I think personally I
had this feeling of, Hey, we're honoring Charlie Kirk today,
we're honoring a colleague, and as Jen Kelly has said,
a radio brother, we are honoring someone I would share
the airwaves with. I've said this before, and to honor

(02:32):
someone you have to make it perfect. And I'm not
saying I don't want every show to be perfect. I do,
but this one stood out to me. Remembering someone who
should still be alive today and hearing the words of

(02:56):
everybody that spoke, from President Trump to Erica Kirk to
Andrew Covid, his best friend as.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
An executive producer, was moving.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
It was moving, and I really want to applaud Mike
here for taking that moment to.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Thoroughly give listeners.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
That much needed recap, that much need recap, because you
may not.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Have caught the whole thing on the Sunday.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
And I believe that with the help of Tracy and
Christian and Eric, he designed a perfect memorial show for
Charlie Kirk that I don't think anybody else could pull off.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
It was quite a way to honor or falling.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Now, I just want to say, as I started this
whole thing, to be there felt right. To be there,
felt spiritual, to be there, felt godly. Behind the board,
I felt.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
A sort of spiritual movement in that studio.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
With every clip we played, I felt his presence too,
that yes, we were honoring Charlie Kirk the right way.
And I don't care if you have a problemly saying honoring,
because we did honor Charliekirker, and we should honor him

(04:50):
because a wife lost husband, daughters lost a father, and.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Youth lost a mentor. The youth lost a mentor.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
And in any debate clips I've seen, I have not
heard one bad thing Charlie Kirk has said. I'm in
a very upfront about that I'm under one bad thing
Charlie Kirk said, and you know, the measure of how
good a person is is the way he spoke about
Adam Memorial and Boyl Boy. There was an outpouring of

(05:34):
love and the fact he was missed by everyone on
that dais.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
That you could tell he was beloved, that he was.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Respected, and I just think that he Mike took that
time for his show and honored Charlie the right way.
And I am very honored to have been part of
all of that behind the board on Monday, September twenty second.

(06:17):
And again, the entire link of the show is found
in the description below, and I gotta also shout out
Arthur riy Dalla. He did a great show as well
with Dave sant Trella and Phil Boyce and Mike himself
honoring Charlie Kirk, which I also happen to be.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Behind the board for.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
And so sometimes in the day to day life can
get frustrating, but these moments of being there when it
counts is what tells me God has me where he's
wanting me to be, and honoring Charlie Kirk is where
I was needed that day, and helping Mike honor Charlie

(07:02):
Kirk is where I was needed that day, and I'm
thankful I was, because I felt very moved by what
transpired those three hours, with the meticulousness that Mike had
gone through to honor Charlie Kirk salor Medium Missus Charlie.

(07:31):
I did not get to meet him. I text him
a couple of times over the years, and I was
just always impressed when I saw how he would debate
the opposition, all by setting up a table and saying,

(07:58):
let's talk, all by setting up a table. And now
I understand that table will be occupied by many more
as the College Canvas tours will continue.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
But to be at the front row of this radio
journey since Charlie was assassinated is a very spiritual thing
for me, and.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It reminds me God has me right where he has
where he needs me to be, and I can say
amen to that. You're on the one Leg Up Network.
