Speaker 1 (00:00):
Over the last couple of days since the assassination of
Charlie Kirk, a lot has transpired. First of all, there's
been so much vitriol over the assassination that there's actually
been a lot of firings of people from their jobs
for openly and outwriting celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

(00:20):
I don't mind those firings only because if you're representing
a company and you put where you work on your
bio or timeline or whatever, you're then saying, yeah, your
own views, but they're also sort of attached to your
company because you work for them, and the company doesn't
want to have someone who's being vicious about it shooting

(00:44):
and the killing of a human being. On the other hand,
that I know that the words of Charlie Kirk are
coming out more and more since his assassination, and I mean,
I still feel like it's a duty here at one time,
like Alex, to at least give you a snippet of
what Erica Kirk said two days after his assassination. I mean,

(01:08):
from a human perspective, to build up the strength to
go up there and do a sixteen minute speech, let
alone a five minute speech is noteworthy, and so that's
why you're gonna hear about forty eight seconds of it,
because a lot of it was preachy, and a lot of.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
It I don't necessarily I don't know how to explain it,
but it's the martyrdom conversation has really been bothersome because
right now Charlie Kirk should be here, whether you'd.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Like his views or not, he should be on the
air this upcoming week, and he's not because Evil took
him out. That's the bottom line. Evil took him out.
And so I cannot buy into.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
This martyrdom scenario because I can't fathom that God will
want this plan for him. Evil does disrupt God's plans,
and I feel like this shooting brought that so.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Perspective so much to light for me anyways, that there's
no other way to describe it. Evil ruined the plans
for Charlie Kirk, whatever it might be. So this martyrdom
conversation I can't really involve myself with. But from the

(02:37):
human perspective, what Erica Kirk was talking about from the
studios of the Charlie Kirk Show, his love of the
Cubs and the Ducks, I just want to share that
because this seems to me with the behind the scenes
and again, when he debated people, there wasn't necessarily outright disrespect.

(02:58):
He seemed to debate respectful and his death does not
mean the public discourse should end. I'll say that again.
So I wanted to share this newsworthy moment of Erica
Kirk speaking about her husband, because that's what we do
here one Lego Balx News. As controversial as it may be,

(03:21):
you have to hear when a widow now with two kids,
who just lost her husband due to assassination speaks up.
It's noteworthy.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Two days ago, my husband Charlie went to see the
face of his Savior and his God. Charlie loved loved life.
He loved his life, He loved America. He loved nature,
which helps him always bring him closer to God. The

(04:00):
Chicago Cubs, and my goodness, did he love the Oregon Ducks.
Want me to say, go Ducks, So I have to
since they play on Saturday, So go Ducks. But most
of all, Charlie loved his children and he loved me

(04:23):
with all of his heart.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Now, if you want to listen to her whole, if
you want to listen to her whole speech. You can
find it Charlie Kirk's social media. But I felt called
to just share those a little behind the scenes. And
I had forgotten that he was born and raised in Chicago,
so of course there's a Cubs connection. But I think

(04:49):
it's perfectly fine to separate the viewpoints from the human
being in this moment. A human being was shut to death,
assassinated on Wednesday, and that's really all I can still

(05:11):
think about. People are talking about his views and this,
that and the other, and how controversial they were, but
we just cannot lose the scope of the fact that
human being was killed on Wednesday. And so I applaud
Erica Kirk for garnering the strength, getting the strength to

(05:35):
go up there and speak, because two days later, you'd
think she would be a mess and a half, but
she held it together, and maybe she tryed to hold
it together for the kids. I know there's a video
of her at Charlie's coffin breaking down and sobbing and crying,

(05:59):
and that's just horrible. But if you're cheering for this
kind of killing, then I think you need to evaluate
yourself whether you agree or disagree with someone an assassination,

(06:20):
a killing in cold blood and at the end of
the death should not be celebrated. And that's where I
land on it. Here I will look up with Alex
Garrett
