awesome anime that's been going on this summer season. Uh
San Diego comic Cohn Well, I guess let's start with
new San Diego Comic Con is going down right now.

I don't have any anime news from from San Diego
Comic Con. I just wanted to say it because I
felt like it needed to be said. But I have
no news. I apologize, I have nothing new, but maybe
hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Oh yeah
it did. It was announced that creator uh Makoto Shinkai,

he announced his new UH sus a spin off, which
is probably gonna have the same color scheme and similar
character you know background, Yeah, like he does. But he's
an awesome director and I love his work. There will
be an announcement on August first for under Unlock. More

than likely it's gonna involved season two. That's what we're anticipating.
But that got announced by Anime TV, so look out
for that on Friday. Let's see what other news do
we have, Chris, do you have any of the news

It's very brittish, which it should be.

pick up on the events of the Worm Snake Colt

is going off.

with Gig which that was a pretty awesome fight. Like
the episode prior to them fighting, I thought, I thought

it was really dope. They finally pretty much wrapped it
up and they went back to Momo. So Momo has
to deal with everybody on the outside and everything is
going to ship. Everything is falling, volcanos exploding. But she
ends up using her powers to get the worm and like,
you know, I'm gonna turn it at this giant just

chasing sus and she grasped. She grasps the giant worm.
She turns into small water holes and she starts putting
out the fire, like putting out the fire. But all
of a sudden, she's surrounded. She's getting jumped left and right.
Everybody's coming out. The world work to stop her, and
next thing you know, Gei, who's possessed, comes out and

things about to get very real bad. Uh which shot
me and uh Mancy Shrimp and thumbs out of nowhere
and Mancy Shrimp. Just as far as boxing, No, my
favorite part of the entire episode was his son singing.
Everybody got background music, everybody gets fight music, everybody gets
background music. His son is singing in the ship, just singing,

everyone gets you know the songs he did for Sakoh
for Granny. Granny theme song was so awesome. She's out
there floating on tarrow, just floating down like the silver Surfer,
just floating, you know, just coming down with the bat
and she's about to jump in. She was like, okay,
we got to handle Gigi. She was like, I like

how she kind of looks at her like why is
it taking so long? Like why are you playing.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
The shrine owner that Mama went to back in season one?
Is the Granny's apprentice? Yes, and he joins in on
the flight they did. They did a really good job
with the choreography or this whole like fight seasons they did.

They've been laying way more second uh in the second
part of this season then they did the first part.

I think they just a sci fi Alliance series things
like that, and you gave a little bit of the romance.
But this one has really been like go hold. I
was how quickly things got wrapped up. But then when
you think about it, like Granny really is like she's
a professional, Like she really is like the real deal,
Like I'm not gonna play with you. I came here

to kick ass and you Bubblegum on Out of Bubble
Gum is like she has a plan using Taru to
uh do encapsulate Gigi so with the seals so he
can't move so they can get his body back and
kind of like figure out how to get him to
harness the evil Lie, which I mean that's a given.

assuming everybody gets to control of their power, so I'm
assuming he has to learn how to do it somehow.

I will not comment, but in Dead I will say
that after the fight is over, the the manchestrip Son
takes over Momo's job of putting out the fires with
the Yeah with a giant Worm, which leaves Momo to

go run off with the Manchion Strip to try and
find Ken, who's still trapped in the underground cavern that's
now submerged in lava.

Yeah It's things are looking bad for him and Turbo
Granny Lucky Turbo Granny. But her look, that's the one
thing I took away from that whole thing she said
in the previous episode. She was like, look, my look
is indiscriminated, Like anybody around here is going to get
part of my good luck. So don't think just because

you know, like like, don't think you're gonna benefit from
my good luck all the time. Somebody else might benefit
from the good luck. So when he said we got
if I went to go rescue Turbo Granny and I
got stuck in the stomach goof, and if I wouldn't
have got basically got stuck in the giant turd. It's like,
if we would have got stuck in the intestines in
this turd, I would have got burnt. Nobody lava. That's

the only reason we survived. And I thought about it
after it happened. I'm like, ah, that was because of
Turnerbow Granny's luck, like just super that was just luck.
Nothing about that was like it's just like, look, if
you or anything else like you, they would have died.
So I thought that was I thought that was really cool.

Yeah, it was a episode.

Great, Yeah, pretty good episode. Pretty good episode.

I wish we got this like as a two cores yeah,
instead of just any like at the beginning of the arc.

I feel the same. It's one of those like I
feel like a lot of shows suffered because they don't
do back to back course they split the seasons. Wind
Breaker is very infamous for not needing to be two
separate seasons, but that's another conversation. But dona don I mean,
I think the pause gave us a reason to breathe
and it made me excited again. But it really does

feel like this It could have just kept going. But
this was a great episode. This was This was a
great episode. There is no way I can see this
anime not falling within the top five of the season
unless they dropped the ball. But so far they've hit
the ground running. I think the advantage they have was
being able to pick up where they left off, so

there is no downtime. So this first art that they
opened up with phenomena are really appreciated. I don't get
fours for episodes unless you do a five out of five.
I usually just don't call it out unless you do,
like a five out of five, But that's the flawless
episode if it's a five out of five. You caught

a total badass when he's not an incompetent, like like,
I don't know what you call someone who just blows
all their money home on Amazon and never leaves their room.
It's just like, uh, except the kick ass.

But he's a part time uh uh uh shut it.

Right, He's he's probably like a super introver. It's like, bro,
I don't like meetings. I don't like none of this shit.

of that. Well, episode one focuses on that man y'all
you know you guys recap that the previous week. This
week they shift back to our main character. We get
back to cou cough cut. He ends up getting in

the Company one. They were like, hey, we want to
put you in the most powerful company because secretly we
want to make sure that Gang can kill you if
you go roll. That's the only reason you're here because
we know gang can kill you if you go rogue,
so we want to keep you close just in case
you go roll we can kill you. We're gonna turn
the suit it. We're gonna turn the suit. You're gonna
turn you into a suit if you go if you

go rogue and miss this thing up. But other than that, Hey, Shamaniah,

your powers. Huh, now you got to figure out how
to get your powers back. Okay. I love it because
it's like he's the target, like he got shot. Caju
number nine ends up like Kaiju number nine is up,

you know, taking a shot at him and he gets
shot in the shoulder. Shine miss she comes. She saved
today that results in the standoff, but she's probably gonna
need saving. And this is Caju number nine and he's
pretty deadly, pretty a funny guy too. But Kafka cannot
transform and he doesn't know why he can he can't transform.

really enjoyed A week's episode Saturday Favorite uh live stream
still live stream, and I think the Duck comes on
around eleven probably twenty probably like the ten forty five,
maybe a few minutes out of the sub drops live
on Crunchy Road, which I still think of something dope,
so I'm excited to see what goes this year. Unfortunately,

there isn't. They didn't go all out for the theme
song in the OP and the ED like last season.

This season, like there was no reason they couldn't keep
the O, P and E D for this season.

don't hate them, it's just it's hard to compete with
last season. I think last year they had to really

sell it to American audiences because they knew they were
going to be international with it. I think that's the

those kids probably ate my dog. We should like cut
their stomach and find Chappy, like, hey, hey you're slipping.

Maybe maybe she like retreat and like regroup and and yeah,
she's takes that in the best way possible and try
for like not uh uh talk me out for going answer,
And this gets us to the flashback on uh flash

back flash forward actually, because we're going back, we're going
to twenty twenty two where talk First originally landed on
the planet and met up with Marina First, who has
a scar on her face because her mom's abusive. So yeah,

if it's good times, she gets she gets to like
fall in love with Oza Laccoon, who's liking her back.
Caxi is helping her cheer up from her mental from
her issues with her mom being a count and her
dad ditching them. Uh. And then Chizica comes back because

she moved away after she tried to kill herself ten
years ago, and Oza la Kun just goes for her
and it causes all the issues to come back again. H.

Maria's mom goes to try and kill Marina. Marina kills
her first and starts to freak out. Talking to me
is like, oh my god, this is a big problem. Uh.

go back in time to kill her.

That that scene, Like no, So what got me is
like the flash how the flashback was even initiated when
she was like I know those eyes that those sheke
like she was like she was about to like smash
her with the rock or something. And it's like that's
when the flashback comes, Like they show her go back

to play it happy and she rebels against her mom.
She was like, hey, this is what I got to do.
My mom was like no, like we have to erase
your memory, like you know, you know the rules. She
was like, no, I have to finish my goal, which
is killed. She was like, I don't even know what
that means. You know, they're happy when they don't even
know what kill means. Yeah, it's like, no, we don't

even know what that means. No, you can't do that.
So she rebels against mom. She rewinds the happy clock
hops in the spaceship comes to Earth and I guess,
like I never and she forgets it's up this time,
like you said, she Manna doesn't find her.

Yeah, and also the future totally just you know, stabs
herself with the with the broken glass in the neck
right before or right after he leaves. So yeah, like
that that time when it's just fun, that is just
fucking dad.

And I think, like, I mean, that's the thing because
like her mom is like when she finds out, oh
you have his boyfriend. Oh he comes from a good family.
I'm you know, their relationship was better, and like he
did not know how to break the news to her
mom that oh, yeah, he dumped me for the girls
somehow somewhere, Mom's like, you're trying to say that's my fault,

and I'm watching it like, bitch, that's not what she said.
She didn't say that at all. Why why are you
making this about you? It's your fault. You're making it.
You're saying it's my fault. I'm not good enough. I
made like oh shit, and I'm like, girl, run run

me so much, because it's like she she put herself

and Zenka's battle like that takes most of the episode
and it's just pretty funny where you know, yes, I
was like, hey man, uh, why you stole my stick?
You stole my ship, that's my treasure, Like apologize and
he apologizes, and then you know he's like, you know what,

I'm going to smile, and his smile is so creepy.
He pisses them off so that he wants to kick
his ass.

It takes him looky, you know, he looks scary, he
looks just like horror. And then he tries again. He
thinks he's mocking them. So he does what anyone does.
He fights up. It's trash everywhere, so he just grasps
a random stick, comeing to find us a plunger with
shit on it.

It was hilarious how he was just chasing her around
and it's like, no, stop, I give up. Stop trying to.

Yeah, it's like that's doodoo, baby, stop throwing doodo at me. Man,
Like no, like he run, he's running like because he's
like he thinking it's the gloves, Like, oh dude, wait
a minute, anything you touched, you can turn, you can

when he finally gets to the truck, he curls up
like he curls up in the ball and he's crying

they were got the only person that saw when they
went to the restaurant and eat, it was like, wait
a minute, so y'all got real food?

the smell is there and I can't imagine that world

Like this has to be gross. But they got cool
powers and everybody's on this elysium type stuff. Everybody's on
this planet floating, got all the good life. But I
don't know. Not much happened besides the Dodo fight, which
was pretty funny. But it's like with twenty four episodes,

so we got plenty of time. I feel like the
pacing is going to really like paste this thing out
before we really start getting some headway.

Yeah, we're still like learning about this world.

Yeah, there's still a world, and so it's it's pretty fine,
pretty cool episode, nothing major, but nonetheless it was a
