I am at your cosy head.
Speaker 5 (01:47):

even the khaki color kids, Sean Raku and the invisible
man with excellent service Chris, who will be here later

stuff normally and when Chris GETSI we'll do a little
catch up with him. And of course on our Facebook
page we'll be doing live coverage of our award winners.
(02:09):
I'll be typing them as we go along, guys.
Speaker 7 (02:13):
Thank you for joining me, Thank you for having me
after a long what is a month since I last
recorded with you? Sean? Yeah, yeah, you know.
Speaker 8 (02:23):
It's good to be back. Feels good to be back back.
Speaker 7 (02:26):
I did the math ahead of time while I was
waiting in the preamble to this, and I went ahead.
It took me because guys, keep in mind, I went
on vacation soon after I did the recording with Sean.
I forroceeeded to be about two to four weeks back
on shows. Depending using round numbers, we could say that
I was approximately seventy episodes behind on roughly twenty three
(02:48):
ish shows. When you do the math and you do
the multiplication, because that's the sixteen and eighty minutes if
you average out an average anime time of twenty four
minutes an episode. In order to make today, I proceeded
the binge anime for roughly twenty seven to twenty nine
hours to make it here today. I just want to know.
I just want you to know my dedication to this show,
(03:10):
though maybe waiting is not gone.
Speaker 6 (03:13):
If I had a cookie, you want to cookie.
Speaker 7 (03:18):
Hey, give me the world smallest violin.
Speaker 8 (03:19):
I like, I like, no no, no, no.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Oh.
Speaker 8 (03:22):
So what you're saying is what you're saying is I
want the award for most Valuable Potter.
Speaker 7 (03:28):
Eh, there you go. Basically, you and Chris always you lately,
you and Chris always are the most valuable parting as well.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
And I can't get it by defaults. I'm here every
almost every week.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
Yeah, but guys, for those that are due to this,
if the two parter first half is, that's the awards
and our second half is our top for the season,
and I can wait.
Speaker 7 (03:53):
A lot of heavy.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
Hitters, uh, some stutterstrongs, some mended week, some keep their holiday.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
It's been because basically got to play it. It could
have been anyone's game. It just came on to what
we like, personally liked better at the end of the day.
Speaker 7 (04:10):
I disagree with you a little bit, Matt. I don't
think it was anybody's ball game, at least with the
top two or three. I don't think so. I think
it was an anyone's ball game for the remainder of
our ten and maybe our honorable mentions that would be.
And I don't want to speak for you both, but
at least that's how it was maybe for you, but yeah,
I was confident in my top two. One of the
(04:32):
shows rose to three, and then everything else was shuffle
board up until literally last night for me.
Speaker 8 (04:39):
Yeah, man, you might have to speak for yourself like
I got I got a side though for you. Yeah, yeah,
I knew, I knew.
Speaker 7 (04:47):
I knew.
Speaker 6 (04:48):
Basically being Chris predicted your thirteen.
Speaker 8 (04:53):
Uh, Matt, I wanted to get in on that. Man.
Speaker 7 (04:56):
What I wanted in on that, I'll I'll mess it
to you. Brad. Yeah, are you going off of my
positioning or in general?
Speaker 8 (05:11):
I already guess you're too. I already guess you guess
your top three? Like we didn't do that last Like, I.
Speaker 7 (05:18):
Don't think you're gonna get three three shot up, And
I'm giving you hints by telling you three shot up,
so I've got surprises for you. I'm not gonna say
this is the most I will say this. This is
the most reflective I think I've ever been in the
history of meeting on the show for four years on
(05:38):
A thirteen. I really believe that this is the most
reflective I've been. Where I'm putting them, why I put
them there?
Speaker 8 (05:47):
Clarity got post post pod clarity, No no, no, no,
I feel you. No, I will say I knew who
my I knew who my top five were. At least
halfway through the season. I knew who was gonna be
in Top five. I didn't know the order, but I
know who's gonna do top It was clear. Top five
was clear by uh. Top five was clear by like
(06:09):
probably like four or five episodes, and it was like, oh, yeah,
I know who making Top five. But the remainder of
everything else, considering I took on, I took on eighteen
shows this season, and I dropped two. But if the
remaining ones of uh uh yeah rein, It's just it's
(06:30):
a couple of carryovers, you know, turning on Ike, got Chaakada,
it was like the main two carryovers. Other than that, yeah, man,
it was something started ended. It was something that shot
me that did not make my thirteen. It was something
that I thought for sure before the season premiere they
were gonna make it in they didn't get Yeah, wow,
(06:53):
you had I thought you. I thought for sure you
was gonna make it. And then it's like I got
to the end.
Speaker 7 (06:57):
It's like I have the what happened? I had shows
that I thought we're gonna be in my top five
that are barely on the list and not even on it.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
Mm hmmmmright, but gentlemen, get started.
Speaker 8 (07:12):
Yeah, let's do it.
Speaker 7 (07:13):
I guess never answer my question before we get started.
Speaker 8 (07:15):
Are we doing?
Speaker 7 (07:15):
Sean Probably won't matter. You're gonna do a shot out
to me.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
I'll say, I'll think about it, all right, I think
about the part two.
Speaker 7 (07:24):
All right, we could do. We can do something. That's fine.
I opened up before we get started on Saturday, open
up and I showed you guys this on the on
our chat that we have brand new bottle of Kaigan.
It's a seasonal limited edition Japanese whiskey. It's a sherry
oak cast. It is one of the best tasting Japanese
whiskeys I've had fifty bucks on sale.
Speaker 8 (07:47):
Oh no, that's not bad. That's that's pretty much. That's
pretty much what I'm going for when I when I do,
when I do, go get some shop and I think
I'm I think I'm a just if the habiquie is
really like if the Hibikie, I ain't got no plane
ticket to it, I'm definitely getting that because I was like,
there's no way y'all selling this over there for the
same price. I sell it over here, there's no way.
Speaker 7 (08:06):
Probably not probably, It's like, there's.
Speaker 8 (08:08):
No way, there's no way y'all making this up the
street and y'all selling it because y'all won't do yall
own people like that.
Speaker 7 (08:13):
So I love Kaigan whiskey. It's my favorite brand, I think,
And you guys know, I've had a lot of Japanese whiskeys.
I think Kaigan is my favorite overall Japanese whiskey brand
that's available in America. I've had that fifty dollars bottle.
Tastes better than the cheap forty dollars bottle. It tasted
better than the eighty dollars bottle that I got on
sale for sixty that's the eight year Age whiskey. Not
by much, but it did taste better. And I have
(08:34):
yet to open I have another seasonal. They have a
third seasonal. I haven't purchased. I bought another season I
haven't opened up that one yet, and I've yet to
open up the one twelve year Age that I have,
So my most expensive bottle, have yet to open it
haven't had a reason to, so I'm curious to compare them.
But nonetheless, kai Gon Limited seasonal sherry cast is my
(08:56):
drink recommendation for the cafe for Okay, all right, anyway,
let's let's proceive we have a lot to.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
We do have a lot to do, so let us
do as always our Christmas cake.
Speaker 7 (09:14):
Let's get this number one cake. So you didn't you didn't.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
Write it down so that the find picture while you
do your fucking round.
Speaker 7 (09:22):
Okay, what do you mean I didn't write it down?
Speaker 8 (09:24):
I did.
Speaker 7 (09:25):
Oh, hold on, it's in there. I'm going to guess
like you and say, no, oh it is, it's in there.
That's your fault.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
I still have the picture in my spring.
Speaker 7 (09:37):
I think there you go.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
Actually no, because none of us picked it for anything. Alright,
So I get the download while you talk, because I
know you'll be a bit.
Speaker 6 (09:47):
Right alrighty uh, disappointed animated Christmas cake? What is not
the worst one? Because that's for the end of the year.
Which one disappointed? You me?
Speaker 2 (09:58):
First?
Speaker 8 (09:59):
Yep, as you first, man. My My disappointment was it's hard.
This was a hard one. This was a hard one
to really do because it came down to a good
anime that did not meet the expectations that season one
had and a couple of other shows did that, but
(10:21):
I ultimately chose what I chose for this one because
although people rave about it, it didn't hit me and
I was just like, maybe I'm just not getting it.
I just I wanted to be excited for this anime
as everybody else was. But so you said, not worse
but most disappointing.
Speaker 6 (10:41):
Yeah, because worst animates for the year, so the usual
look at it.
Speaker 8 (10:46):
But however you want to yeah, yeah, no, no, no,
I just like that. The one anime that I would say,
the one animator became the most work to watch was
uh the Summer Haku Died That Yeah, that one was
that one was It became hard halfway through it became work.
(11:06):
It became an absolute chore to watch, and it was
just I could not. It got to a certain point
where I just didn't care anymore. It's just like I
wanted to drop it. So I wanted to drop it,
just like so much like but I'm just like, man
for the sake of the show talking about it with
the guys, let me keep going. But it was really hard.
(11:27):
It became't work. It can't really work. I didn't I
didn't get the hype or the expectations everybody has for it.
But yeah, it just it just didn't hit me. I
was gonna say, I was gonna say Bunny Girl sympop,
But I actually didn't finish Bunny Girl SIMPI. I'm actually
I left two episodes on the table before the show, honestly,
if I'm being honest, Haiker, I left two episodes on
(11:48):
the table. Those two shows I did not finish. They
are the time I could not. I chose to watch
horror movies. I was like, you know what, I got
time to watch these. I'm gonna know what, but I'm
gonna watch horror moves instead. It's like Matt gave me
a recommendation. It's like, hmmm, do I wake up at
five am and I can watch all these anime before
I do anything? But do I watch this horror move
(12:08):
and I watch the horror movies instead. I'm gonna go
back and finish them just for the sake of it.
But yeah, man, Bundy Girl SAMPI, I did not finish
it before the show airs and streams, and High Crew
I did not finish before the show's there. They both
became work, and I don't like anime to feel like work.
So yeah, that's a tie. It's a tie, unfortunately.
Speaker 9 (12:27):
Yeah, yeah, it's a tie.
Speaker 6 (12:30):
So the one if you had to pick one, akar.
Speaker 8 (12:33):
Yeah, if I got to pick one, Yeah, I'm doing
that just just to be an a hole, because I
know how much you guys love it. I'm just trolling, but.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
Hurt the most.
Speaker 7 (12:44):
This don't hurt me, This don't hurt me. But I like,
I'm gonna get you back. It's surprising, surprising to me.
It's surprising to me.
Speaker 8 (12:55):
Really, Yeah, surprising to me too. I I the first
couple episodes, but that thing it peaked episode three, and
then after that it was like, but it could have been.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
A movie, your shoapbox time cute timer. All right, ull huh,
I'll let you know what.
Speaker 7 (13:16):
It shouldn't be that long. I'm not gonna I know,
but for the sake of this for you, Yes, that's fine.
Go Summer Pockets. Summer Pockets is my biggest disappointment I've
had since season two of Promise never Land. That's how
(13:38):
much I disliked this show. I'm gonna, you know what,
I'm gonna do something I never do. I'm gonna read
you my entire synopsis, like not synopsis I'm sorry. My
entire review on the air for this show and my
next Summer twenty twenty five anime is by far my
biggest disappointment of the season, and that is Summer Pockets,
originally airing in Spring twenty twenty five, and it goes
(14:00):
over through like the initial synopsis like okay cool from
second paragraph the second to last let me read you
the second last sentence adapted from visual Namur novel. The
show proceeds to tell the story of different girls on
the island, their backstories, and how he helps them through
various circumstances, and I eventually gets with each of them
in different timelines. The show also tells the story if
Carr he I'm sorry, Hyri getting over his insecure his
(14:22):
own insecurities fairly early on in the series. The second
to last sentence of that synopsis is the first thing
that was wrong with this show. As the show approached
the end of its back half, it managed to make
the previous stories absolutely pointless and hardly factor into the
biggest story the anime wish to tell. None of the
previous timelines, with the exception of one, have had any
(14:44):
implications to the largest story they wish to tell, which
threw off my investment from the jump and infuriated me.
In addition, the synopsis tells of the grandmother's passing. One
part told through the numerous timeline is hire needing to
help clean out her shed, which was always shrouded and
mystery through the entirety of the twenty five episodes. Hyrie
did not help clean that shed until the show's finale,
(15:07):
and only once in the series did any item in
the shed play a factor to the story, therefore making
that plot point absolutely completely moot. The show was originally
created by the makers of the one of the dearest
shows I've ever watched, clan Ad, who are the same
creators as another beloved show in the sad Anime Department, Cannon.
(15:29):
While I can see their influence from the modernized look
at the character designed to the overarching themes of the show,
one thing that made those older shows stand out was
the mostly linear story presented those anime. Though Needing some
thought to process the biggest plot points gave a mostly
linear story, Pockets did not come close to delivering a
true linear story until its final story, but by then
(15:51):
all my care for the show went out the window.
As a reminder of the show. As for the remainder
of the show, the stories, though mostly pointless, have all
have all had strong emotional undertones when looking at them
from an individual basis. The character design has mentioned previously
modernized twenty twenty five with the same art style was nice,
and the animation and musical composition we're the best parts
of the show, write and exuberant, with matching musical notes
(16:13):
to accompany each of the baseline feelings. The scenes wanted
the viewer to watch, but the disaster of a plot
has superseded any positives For me. I rarely give shows
blow and average three star rating, but this show takes that.
Mansel is one of the worst I've seen in a
long while, coming in at a higher two stars. I
am in a minority by looking at the overall ratings
the anime community is given and that is fine as
(16:36):
what I expected to be tremendous with the bar being
klanad ended up being hair pulling, aggravating. I would not recommend.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
Pretty minutes eighteen seconds.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Yeah, not bad.
Speaker 8 (16:50):
Absolutely, Hey man, that's gonna be your rank style night, Yeah, bro,
I'm with it.
Speaker 7 (16:57):
Six out of five.
Speaker 6 (16:57):
Mad O the Year Dogs o'tkare eight stars eight f
all the.
Speaker 7 (17:03):
Okay, you go jump off a clif Now I'll take
over the hosting duties, all right, so the show's not
gonna happen.
Speaker 8 (17:11):
Oh, don't do that.
Speaker 7 (17:13):
I'll get it. Just the why I was fucking disappointed.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
Yeah, it's but it's still funny to see your hatred
of it. That's why we keep saying it's actually.
Speaker 6 (17:23):
Good, fucking good.
Speaker 7 (17:25):
These nuts are good all right for me? Mine is
Kaiju eight. I originally had a couple of cuckoos after
my my loved, My loved rats. I still need to
that rant somewhere six minutes and fifty seconds of glory
from Matt.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
Yeah, so no, they all right. I need to actually
be fair, fair because it's it's fucking cuckoos. I didn't
have high expectations to begin with.
Speaker 6 (17:53):
You have was Kaiju, and it started hot with Kaiju
andned I get she nematos that, and after that just
it turned into a glorified animate training arc and some
of the armors cool.
Speaker 7 (18:06):
Some the times of the Kaiju are cool, but that's just.
Speaker 6 (18:10):
I'm not.
Speaker 7 (18:10):
I wasn't hyph for anything.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
The only cool new character was from the Division one
op sucked, sucks.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
You're no, I liked none of them. Oh my god,
you were bad?
Speaker 8 (18:25):
You are?
Speaker 7 (18:26):
The OP is crazy work? Yeah, yeah, no, yeah, I
think I just.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
The one went hard with the OP, especially the season
two was just a mm hmmm. So I liked nothing
about it. So I'll still lost season three. But this, yeah,
that and it gave me the season one Cliffaker cutting
it off mid arc.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
Midway through the arc. That's one of my points.
Speaker 6 (18:59):
Okay, sure, I'll go fuck myself for a year and
a half.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
I hope there's a recap.
Speaker 6 (19:14):
All right, let's let's let's uh, let's get a coffee
or most surprised in anime, M something that exceeded your expectations,
something expect to be good or something like that. You
know it's gonna be good, but it was better than
you expected, however you want to interpret it.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
So Starman.
Speaker 8 (19:37):
All right, uh Man, clevitys uh. Cleviatis was absolutely like
I had no clue because nobody was talking about Clevitist.
Nobody was talking about it. I didn't hear anybody like,
no one was raving about it, no one said anything.
But just one day I was like, man, this, it's
(19:58):
a it's assembly dub, it's out. It looks interesting. I
watched that first episode, and I watched the second one
and the third one back to back to back, and
I was like, Oh, this is the sleeper of the
season right here, this one. And then when I got
to the end and I looked back at all the
hitters and it was just like, Yo, Cleves Is eight
like that show. Really it's a dark fantasy. It's just
(20:20):
a dark fantasy anime done right. It's like everything they
did right. I would have preferred if it was a movie.
I felt like it could have been a movie, if
they would have just cut some things out, it could
have been a couple movies. But them doing in a series,
it really felt like it felt rushed by I got
to the end. That was the only thing I didn't
really like it. I didn't love about it. But it
don't take away from the fact that its execution was
(20:43):
was pretty dope, and it built it up. Anounced season
two right when it was done with the when it
was done with season one. I'll get more about Clevetis
later on we go into the next show. But man,
if you if there's any action show that you passed on.
Go back and watch Clevitists. Like Clevitist is that one
show that you need to watch if you like swords, like,
(21:06):
if you like night swords and magic, go watch Clevitist,
like for real? It is it is worth it?
Speaker 5 (21:12):
Okay yeah, yeah, yeah, final score seven point eight because
I know it's well in the beginning.
Speaker 6 (21:20):
The fact that shut up like.
Speaker 7 (21:21):
That, it's a good sell. You know, do you like
Swords Nights Watch?
Speaker 8 (21:26):
Yeah? Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, like that's they
got that wrong, Like they got that wrong. I don't
I don't know what show they were watching, but I
look at the score and it's like, no, no, no, no,
y'all got that wrong, y'all. I'm so. I ain't been
satisfied with m L. Don't pissed me off ever since ever.
I ain't gonna get into the controversy right now. That's
a rant for later, but yeah.
Speaker 7 (21:50):
What about you. I'm the polar opposite of Sean where
he didn't he thought Hikar was the biggest disappointment for me.
It was my biggest surprise. Y'all.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
Know.
Speaker 7 (22:00):
I don't like horror. I don't like horror, and yet
I found myself on baited breath at the edge of
my seat. This was the one of the few shows
except for the final week when I was when I
was on vacation, I watched this show every Saturday when
it dropped, not obviously the moment it dropped. Every Saturday
(22:21):
on drop day. I would watch it partially to get
it out the way because it's not my forte and
I'm really skittish, but also because I was enthralled by
the story, and so the principle of me enjoying a
horror esque anime is surprising to me, and that's why
I chose it as my surprise of the season that
(22:41):
I thoroughly enjoyed it and subsequently rated it higher than
I ever thought I would rate it, which I'll get
into in the back half of tonight's record.
Speaker 6 (22:50):
All Right, all right, well there's no I'm proud of you?
Speaker 7 (23:00):
All right? What you are?
Speaker 8 (23:07):
Gray over here?
Speaker 7 (23:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (23:09):
That aired a couple of days ago. Yeah, uh mine
is Taco PiZZ original Sin. I'm gonna get into it later,
but this one has caught me off car especially with
the drama aspect of it, the awfulness of parents.
Speaker 7 (23:30):
That's not surprising in today's world. Unfortunately.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
No.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
But the fact that they didn't pull punches because a
lot of these like the tiptoe, No, didn't. That's why
surprised for that legs were spread.
Speaker 7 (23:48):
It was already up, so like originally did this as
legs spread. But I was just like, oh, here's open window,
open door, like a but I I to give a
surprise with how well they done it special six episodes
and yeah, we'll get to that.
Speaker 6 (24:08):
I'm sure during this or part two. Oh for sure,
for sure.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
Okay, let's get let's get to some music. Let's get
a beer and get the body moving. Best opening theme.
Speaker 8 (24:27):
All right, best opening thing for me was Creepy Nuts Mirage,
which was the opening thing for College the Night season two.
I really enjoyed the whole like Latin like just theme
that they have. I was like, oh, this thing is
a whole little Latin vibe.
Speaker 7 (24:45):
Like hear that the Latin Club recorded for us, You'll hear.
Speaker 8 (24:49):
I'm going crazy because the bat the bad bunny ad
libs on the song that like that that just said
the whole song off of me. It's just like, oh, no,
these these dudes up there doing bad bunny ad libs, y'all.
Don think I called it, but I called it, And
it's just like the Opie with the music. They're even
like doing the little dances and stuff like that the dress,
but then it's like it gives a nice atmospheric resonance
(25:12):
to what you're gonna anticipate in the series. So the
opening theme, because Call of the one, Call of the
Night Season one op is still my favorite creeping up
song and people like that don't really come up enough.
It's like no, no, no man falling. It's still my
favorite creeping ut song, like that one eats. But again
they strike with the they strike with another one. I mean,
(25:35):
like like the Dune. That's cool, that's cool, but that's
not one of my favorites. It's cool, it's dope, but
that's just not one of my favorites. But it's fun
to do this. I think them doing this on Mashall
is what made the put.
Speaker 7 (25:46):
It like this.
Speaker 8 (25:47):
The the op the animation made the song.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
This.
Speaker 8 (25:52):
The song made the animation, and when it came to
Call the Night, the song gave it the vibe. It
wasn't the other way around, like Dana Dan it's a
good mixer too. The song gave the animation a vibe,
you know what I'm saying. But got a shot at
Creeping Up. They kill me.
Speaker 7 (26:08):
Creeping Us is on the level of what's her face?
Who did the Demon Slayer songs? Lisa? They're on Lisa,
They're in Lisa territory right now. In terms of in
the anime community, and like their vibe in the country
and stuff.
Speaker 8 (26:19):
I would say yourself, I would say, Yasobi, I would
say that's more aligned with what I think Creeping Nuts is.
The only the only issue with Creeping Nuts is I'm
extremely disappointed because I don't think I saw them on
the Coachella lineup. But maybe I'm wrong, but I really
need I need to see Creeping Us at the Coachella lineup.
I'm gonna have to check on that, but go ahead, Ethan.
Speaker 7 (26:39):
Yeah. I just want to say first off that this
is again Summer. It'll be my takeaway at the end
of the night. Summer was jam packed full of amazingness.
I think throughout this season, and one of the things
that made it so amazing was there were so many
contenders for me for op Fragrant Flowers, op, be throws,
op what's it called? Dress up Darlings? Was fun Call
(27:04):
the Night was my number two, but for me, I'm
gonna go with Kaiju eight. And this is why I
questioned you, Matt, that you hated them, and so that
I guess that get goes down to musical tastes because
for me, as you know, I love the ballads. And
although we'll talk about ed next with Kaiju number eight,
(27:29):
what what's it called? What really sets off Kaiju for
me is the animation. Where Sean mentioned the animation doesn't
make the song, the song made the animation. It definitely
is the opposite with Kaiju. The animation helps enhance the song.
There is no greater animated op in my opinion, bar
none this season than Kaiju eights. It was a marvel
(27:51):
to watch that op, and then the song was equally
as great. I think I chose this more for the
animation than I did the song, But I think the
cop nation of the two really really really sold me,
and it was a vibe. It is again that one
Hikaru and the song Sean just mentioned, from creeping outs
to the three and be throwed four four ops which
(28:14):
I normally like to skip ops. Those four ops I
listened to repeatedly throughout their twelve and thirteen and eleven
episodes respectively. So for me Kaiju, but that's not a
strong like winner because I think I had four strong
contenders this season, which is rare for me.
Speaker 6 (28:32):
Was there the visuals for were nice. I just did
not care for the song aspect of it.
Speaker 7 (28:37):
I like the song and the visual set of apart.
Speaker 8 (28:40):
I don't know the visual like a screen save. I
felt like it was cool, but I mean I felt
like their own brand of what they were doing, you know,
giving us the CG you know, Kalia Scope Green, But uh,
I don't know, bro, you can have you yourself. I'm like, bro, y'all,
ain't touching y'all. Season one thing.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Oh.
Speaker 8 (28:56):
Also, Creeping Uts is performing the first Friday twenty twenty six,
Creeping Up Seats performed I will be toned, I will
be locked down, tune in. I had to go and
check that all right, Yeah, said.
Speaker 6 (29:10):
Mine is mirage. I love that fantastic song.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
Yeah with twins for those like the bar in the background,
say yes, yeah.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
It's a great SONGID like, I just had like the
Latin advice of it. There's excellent covers too. There's one
that could sounded like the English cover really good. It's
just an awesome song.
Speaker 8 (29:33):
Yeah, you can literally dance that. You could, you could
put that on that you could put that on like
and like, yeah, I'll go out saw the dance on
the weekend. Somebody could like play that song and they'd
be like, wait a minute, that's like you know, all
the American people, like English American people were like, oh man,
this is all like this song. Then everybody speak Spanish
be like, hold on, bro, that's that Ain't that ain't Spanish?
(29:55):
What is he saying?
Speaker 7 (29:57):
You know?
Speaker 8 (29:58):
But that's what's up man.
Speaker 7 (30:03):
Another one I forgot to mention was Detectives These Days
Are Crazy. That was my number five. That was a
OP animation as well as the song was very, very
very fun.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
You know what.
Speaker 7 (30:13):
It reminded me a little bit of like ZOM one
hundred in terms of that type of vibe of fun.
So that's another one.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Five.
Speaker 7 (30:20):
I have five contenders.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
I had a couple that were close, like Fragrance, uh
Silent which Silent which was fun. Yeah, ro Rocks was okay,
but I like from other days cart twos op.
Speaker 7 (30:34):
Also, so many good contenders, dude, so many roopy.
Speaker 6 (30:39):
Alrighty, so now let us get to our end in
the theme that's ED star man Man this this ED like.
Speaker 8 (30:51):
Man just anything kind of like threw me off because
when I first listened to it, I was like I
was ready to skill because I was just ready to
get to the next up. So it's clevertest, It's clever test,
cleverest Ed is Destiny by Ellie Golden. Yes that Golden,
Yes that yes, that Ellie Golding does to anything for clevertist, Bro.
(31:12):
And when I tell you, like Ethan, I think you
should go and check out the ED, especially because you
like bass, Like.
Speaker 7 (31:17):
You need to check out the series, just bro.
Speaker 8 (31:21):
Like the end of thing came on, It's like it's
not like an R and B song, But when that
bass hit, and I was sitting up here like, oh
that bass hitting, like it was just this slow. It's
this slow like R and B like groovy little song.
And I was just like, oh, yeah, bro, you you
take a couple of shots. You faded. That thing came
on and I'm talking, I'm just in my recline and
just I don't even want to go to the next episode.
(31:42):
I think that probably was the first ED in a
long time. I rewind it just to hear it again
before going to the next episode. It's like, oh yeah, no, no, no,
it was a vibe. It's a whole shot of Elie
Golden because shout out to none Japanese are Japanese animate
clothing things Man Texas to out guard. But it's like, yo,
it's easy. It's like yo, it's that.
Speaker 7 (32:05):
That's how I feel about my ED Kaiju eight. One
Republic did the ED for Kaiju eight and season one
and season two. Oh, season two was one Republic.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
I went back.
Speaker 7 (32:21):
I went back because this is one of the last
awards I gave last night, and I had to pick one,
and I wasn't really sold on the ed's and like
I was the od p's. And I went back and
I was like, I really like Kaiju's. I have Kaiju's
writing down for weeks. Let me go back and really
listen to it and make sure I really want to
pick that. And I went and I looked at the
highlights and it was one Republic. And it goes back,
it goes back down to the ballads. You know me,
(32:41):
I love ballads. Whenever we talk about what we like,
you like upbeat, up tempo, fun, like high energy. I
like ballads, slow shit, and I enjoyed the hell out
of Kaiju number Eight's ed for the slowness of it,
and then just the lyrics as well. That one Republic song.
Forgive me for not knowing the songs. I'm like you guys,
that go down to depth but still great. And to
(33:03):
Starman's point, what's it called? Shout out to the non
Japanese artists that are doing Japanese Uh so Republic?
Speaker 8 (33:11):
Yeah, the name of the song is klled Beautiful, but yeah, okay,
shout out. I did not know that.
Speaker 7 (33:17):
Yeah, all right?
Speaker 5 (33:20):
Uh for me, it's a lower the Mysteries for Dark
Dream by Curly Goo. This is also a ballad, This one,
I definitely I really liked.
Speaker 7 (33:29):
I like the visuals of it.
Speaker 6 (33:30):
I like the haunt and tone with.
Speaker 7 (33:32):
The music of it.
Speaker 6 (33:34):
It just fit everything so nicely together. If you can
just watch it, just listen to it, so it gives
a nice combination. For That's why I gave that my
EP for the season. All right, one, while that loads,
(33:55):
we have one more for music, and that is the
best soundtrack. What is your soundtrack of the season.
Speaker 8 (34:06):
My soundtrack of the season caught me off guard until,
like I started really like paying attention to the music
in the background when when the atmosphereic it just when
the atmosphere like hit the right spot, because it just
kind of caught me off guards I would a minute,
what am I listening to? And that was my dress
up Darling. My dress up Darling really has a nice soundtrack,
(34:28):
like it really just the pace is it really blends
in the background where sometimes you don't even notice it.
But I think it's it's so traditional. It's plucks strings.
Speaker 7 (34:41):
Like like very like.
Speaker 8 (34:45):
Fun dramatic type melodies, like it's symphonic at times. It's
really like a traditional like if you were watching like
a nineties or two thousands like rom com. Like I
love the traditional like highw what style soundtrack it has
for us, like nothing over the top, no catchy pop music.
(35:05):
It's it's really just like it's simple, like back to
the basics. I really enjoyed it. You probably just put
that on a relaxed like you know, clean up, you know,
do some dishes, or just how your headphones in public
when you just want to study. I think, I think
I think it will work, But yeah, I'm just a
dollar surprised me with the soundtrack. So that's my favorite.
Speaker 7 (35:23):
Okay, good, I can think that no complaints without spoiling
anything on the show because I know Star, you have
yet to watch it. So my favorite soundtrack was Freak
and Flower. It was with dignity for much of the
reasons you said, it blends in quite well. And again
the reason why I said without spoiling anything is I
think the crescendo of the show, the apex of the
(35:43):
show really like sets it off. And I'll get into
another award that I'm giving it because of that crescendo,
But I think the the the background music the compliment them.
It compliments the scene and the emotion and the of
the gravity, but the weight of that final moment of
the show so well, I think that's what really sold it.
(36:06):
In terms of the soundtrack, that background was incredible. And
when I think of soundtrack, I also think of the
op and the ED and I think the two for
Fragg and Flower were really really well and complemented the
show and gave a good foundation to the show as
you walked into the episode. And again, as I mentioned
to your point, just in the background, everything fits the
scenes the way that they're supposed to fit. They enhance
(36:29):
them in various aspects, also depending on the weight of
the of the of the scenes as the couple go through,
like their feelings and things of that nature. So yeah,
Freagan Flower Moves a digny soundtrack.
Speaker 5 (36:44):
Mine is Lord of the mysteries. Every emotional thing that
has happened, whether it's like happy, sad, it hit it
with the right music, especially for the for the finale,
it's just I guess one of those you disclosed around.
I put the headset out and just listen to it.
You could like feel the different emotions of what is
(37:06):
going on in these scenes, and the music just helps
it helped captivates it, to put it on that extra
level of what is going on in the background and
the scene. They both coup each other so well. So
I had to give it to Mysteries for these soundtracks
portion of it.
Speaker 6 (37:29):
Alrighty, let's get to some of the writing. Let's get
some ony Gary here as we do our best original anime.
Speaker 8 (37:42):
Best original anime for me man for me, this was
an easy one. It was new panty and stocking. The
moment I knew that Trigger was gonna bring this back
from guyanat fifteen years later readapt it kept the same
animation style, same they upped the ante in every way.
I'll save that when out of scol this deep dive later.
But New Panty and Stocking, no, man, great adaptation just
(38:07):
I'm not adaptation, but great original, just great overall. Everything
about the anime is original. There is nothing like it
airing help there. You almost find nothing like that in
the anime catalog on crunchy roll. Like, it is so original,
especially with the Western style cartoon style anime style that
they went with. So yeah, I thought it was really fun.
(38:30):
And then they mixed props and stop motion and like
real animation like footage. They do camcorders when they blow
up the bad guys or the ghosts at the end
of the fights, they'll they build these models and then
they'll put dynamite in them and they'll blow them up
and record that with a regular like thirty five millimeters camera,
(38:51):
and then they'll splice it back in the show. You like,
you know, it's not animated. It's just so refreshing because
it's just so original. Everything about it original. It's a
dope show. You definitely New Panting Stocking Amazon prown day eight.
Speaker 7 (39:03):
Okay, all right, all right, if I had none the season.
You had none this season, according to what you told
me weeks ago, I had none.
Speaker 6 (39:14):
Yeah, all right, this one I picked up a month
ago during a colossal con finished it for this Omeo
kitin Reververse. It's an original anime.
Speaker 7 (39:28):
It's like Ree zero with going back after you die
type of thing, but it's more with a sci fi
approach of it.
Speaker 6 (39:35):
On top of it, I watched this dub great voice acting,
very nice fights. I like some of the characters, the
main character, very enjoyable. I got the nice little twists
with the antagonists, and then that nice final flight on
top of it, and then after that it did kind
of turn me off a little bit. But with this though,
(39:56):
I still very much enjoyed it. I do have more
original football.
Speaker 7 (40:01):
So I have a question. Actually, in hindsight, can I bond?
What can I count bond? That's a movie?
Speaker 9 (40:09):
Fuck?
Speaker 7 (40:10):
Never mind, it's not a movie. Short.
Speaker 6 (40:14):
A short movie is a movie.
Speaker 7 (40:17):
Never mind.
Speaker 8 (40:18):
A short movie is a movie.
Speaker 6 (40:20):
Yeah, so you can put it for your movie Last
for the years.
Speaker 7 (40:25):
Yeah, yeah, we all know the movie that's is gonna
beencopassed by demons, Layer number one and everything else. Mine
is I have I can't do what anime movies? Have
you watched this year?
Speaker 5 (40:40):
I got Colors with a fan at the beginning of
the year. I didn't see the I didn't see the
make up movie. Yet I do have bod I got
Demons Slayer, I got I might watch one hundred meters.
Speaker 7 (40:49):
Are those coming to theaters though, yes?
Speaker 8 (40:51):
When it's like this limit, I'm gonna be honest with you,
the limited release of these movies like not getting like
the only reason, the only reason that none of the
dragon Ball movies did Demons Slayer numbers is because they
didn't get a Demon Slayer wide release. That's we gotta
call it. Say these limited releases like the Spy Family
movie didn't get a wide release, even the Kobe Yashi
(41:15):
Dragon made. You know that's they're talking about. Yeah, man,
we're gonna show that in theater one day, like one day,
and y'all only doing it in like AMC theater. Y'all
y'all not even doing that in smaller markets. So yeah,
Man's I'm saying all that to say a movie will
come out of twenty twenty four, we won't get it
over here to twenty twenty five. And yet we're gonna
(41:36):
count it on our twenty twenty five list when it
didn't come out that year, because that's when we had
access to it. No, you're right, Yeah, that that's I
feel like, you know, that's a little gray area.
Speaker 7 (41:45):
Yeah, oh shit, you're right, and you're one hundred meters
only for three days.
Speaker 8 (41:51):
Yeah that is, and then it'll be a twenty twenty
four movie that comes over here. It's like, yeah, it's
kind of crazy.
Speaker 7 (41:56):
But you know, Tuesday the fourteenth, that's seven o'clock. Yeah,
I gotta find a good day to go.
Speaker 8 (42:05):
Yeah. Spot Family is I'm gonna be out of I'm
not gonna even be here and Spot Family comes out,
so it's all good. I'll catch it on crunchy roll
those two hours. Not Spot Family, but Drag Dragon made.
Speaker 6 (42:15):
Oh yeah, yeah, it comes out a couple of weeks.
Speaker 8 (42:17):
Heah, twentieth twenty.
Speaker 7 (42:21):
Got changed something man at the end of the month.
Speaker 8 (42:24):
Definitely going to see that when I get back.
Speaker 7 (42:26):
Yeah, we got the scarlet and that's what you should do, Sean,
take advantage of some of the ship that you want
to see or get here. Go to the movies in Japan.
Speaker 8 (42:36):
Bro, they don't show they don't show subtitles in the
theater in Japan. I'm gonna just let you know.
Speaker 7 (42:40):
That earphones.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Phones, I'm not doing that.
Speaker 8 (42:46):
I will I will watch it here, like bro, I
will not do what I really wanted to do over
there was catching them two point five D shows and
it's like all the good ones air before I get
there or after three I leave, and it's like, bro,
I don't why y'all doing this to me? Like I'm
so hurt. I still want to catch a two win
five D show. But anyway, anyway, next category crazy.
Speaker 6 (43:10):
All right, let's get some me so suit for best
anime adaptation.
Speaker 5 (43:13):
Sometimes anime adapted from the manga light novel video game
that takes you anywhere.
Speaker 7 (43:19):
So start man ethn you go, he's in the bathroom.
Speaker 8 (43:25):
Oh oh but damn. Do we have the same This
is adaptation? Right?
Speaker 7 (43:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (43:31):
Do we have the same one? Can we just say
it on three? If we do?
Speaker 7 (43:34):
We did?
Speaker 6 (43:35):
We did a last season.
Speaker 8 (43:37):
I can't do it again? No, how can I not
do it again? It's a two parties like nothing beat it,
like bro, nothing beat it. Literally literally no one adapted
anything better.
Speaker 7 (43:49):
Than this.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
One.
Speaker 8 (43:57):
I mean, be that as it may.
Speaker 6 (43:58):
It's it's I mean, you're right, we already.
Speaker 7 (44:07):
I picked.
Speaker 8 (44:09):
That's the only other thing I can pick is that
I didn't even read Taco Pe. But I'm gonna just
give it to tacle Pe. Taco Pe, you got it,
you your adapt that nobody complained. That's how I know
it was good because even though I didn't read it
like they did, no one complained. Everyone's complaining about Caju
Number eight because they were like, bro, y'all do y'all
(44:31):
deviated too much from the manga style. And I was like, yeah,
they did do that. That's that's kind of wild.
Speaker 6 (44:36):
But yeah, I wonder if he has to say, yeah,
well we'll see what that.
Speaker 7 (44:45):
No, still, no Cress. I believe he's dead.
Speaker 8 (44:49):
I hope he comes back, Like, man, come on, man, it's.
Speaker 6 (44:53):
A guy I get just fill in his answers on
my phone while he talks.
Speaker 8 (44:59):
I mean, that would be pretty interesting to do.
Speaker 5 (45:02):
Yeah, because I already had the pictures on my phone too,
so I can do so while he's talking, I can
do the Facebook page on the phone and just do
edit the post that put this his name in there
and all that shit.
Speaker 6 (45:14):
So that would be my plan when whenever that happens,
or you, or if he misses all the awards, then
that's his fault, all right, he says, he does not
have the same adaptation.
Speaker 5 (45:35):
You could tell us while you're texting, if you want,
I could write, I could say the explanation for you
as well.
Speaker 10 (45:51):
He's actually gonna give me the answer. They to give
him a couple of minutes. Okay, we'll give him a
couple of minutes, folks. Okay, So did you watch a
horror today or not yet?
Speaker 8 (46:08):
I can real briefly the horrors that I have went
through on my list. No, I didn't. I didn't watch
one today yet, not yet, not yet, but so far.
Hell House was day one it feeds with Day two
it feeds was pretty interesting. The presence really blew me away.
(46:30):
I exceeded all my expectations. That was a good one.
The presence presence was good. It was because it's told
from the perspective of the ghost. So so the ghost
is it's like paranormal activity, except it's the ghost. You
see the ghost trying to do what it does, whether
it's trying to warn the family. It's not a ghost
trying to be benevolent. It's a ghost being like hey man,
(46:52):
I'm here because of some crazy stuff is going down
and I need to help y'all. And ghost, Yeah, the
ghost is on some that's for stuff, but that's that's
what kind of makes it crazy. So that was a
good one though. I really enjoyed it. And then last
night I watched Cuckoo.
Speaker 7 (47:08):
All right, all right, very good?
Speaker 8 (47:10):
Oh uh it feeds audition. Oh yeah, Day three I
watched Presents. So Saturday, I watched Presents. Uh and that
was good. So I'm at five already. Uh and it's yeah,
so I got my five. It's today's day six. I'm
supposed to watch the last cabin is supposed to be
so I don't know what time we wrapped. Maybe I
(47:31):
can wake up early tomorrow in the morning and throwing on.
Speaker 5 (47:35):
But I did put on my tomorrow's today because I
was all, all right, I might be better, so I'll
put on the extra one.
Speaker 8 (47:43):
So I did.
Speaker 7 (47:44):
I did my final prayer.
Speaker 8 (47:46):
Yeah, so that's what I'm I'm thinking of doing, trying
to get that done.
Speaker 6 (47:50):
Here here's Chris having a mental breakdown behind the scenes.
Speaker 7 (47:53):
Chris, Okay, okay, what what did like this?
Speaker 2 (47:59):
And what what did you guys pick?
Speaker 3 (48:01):
So I could accordingly.
Speaker 6 (48:03):
Okay, okay, we're on best adaptation right now.
Speaker 7 (48:08):
Let me get yours.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
And that's that's fucking no brainer. That's Calar, Hannah, Freak
and Flower.
Speaker 6 (48:19):
Okay did we did we lose them again?
Speaker 2 (48:26):
Frank, don't you fucking Okay? Okay, we're fucking up again.
Speaker 7 (48:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:34):
I I love everything that they did with the show
with uh why uh okay, just bullshit. I loved everything
that they did. They did a great job with characters.
I hate what Netflix does, but like fucking so far,
every fucking streaming service's fucked me over this year, so
(48:56):
why not Netflix? Uh? What else? The characters were great,
they all they they felt like the uh the actual
characters from the manga was brought to life into the series.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
So I'm happy for it. That is my adaptation.
Speaker 5 (49:14):
All right, very good, all right, So now we're gonna
roll back for you. Cool awesome disappointed anime? Oh I
wait I graduate? Uh huh starman had Hikara died and
of course even has some our pockets the best romance
anime of all time. Yes, yes, yes, Socus, you're disappointed.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
Oh man, I'm gonna be I'm gonna get shocked for
this one. But Panny and Sucking do was e extremely
fucking disappointed for the amount of time that we had
to wait for this. Uh we only like, yes, it
was great to have Panny and Stocking back, but four
episodes of plot with four episodes spread across thirteen episodes
(50:03):
of like uh filler in between was really disappointing or
no filler parodies just like straight up parodies of uh media.
While some of them were good, like Fast and the Furious,
the horror movie one where where they're going for killing
(50:25):
the bitches, those were like, some of them were funny.
I just wish we had actual plot and instead of
just parodies every other episode.
Speaker 8 (50:39):
Okay, yeah, yeah, keep going bro shill time, Sean. I'm
gonna just process.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
No, no, no, no, that's it.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
That's it.
Speaker 8 (50:50):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
Like I I just didn't like the fact that we
got no actually we got like not that much story,
but all the parody for whatever reason, Okay, because I
don't recall Maine, I don't recall me. It's been a
hot minute. I don't recall main opinions Socking and guarter
Rout having the parody episodes gotcha.
Speaker 5 (51:14):
All right, surprise in anime, I had tacope even had
a car and start my head of clevelan, what is
your surprise?
Speaker 3 (51:21):
And oh, my surprise is gonna be Oh yeah, my
surprise is gonna be uh like one of the many,
many fucking times this show is gonna pop up in
this in my list Amo kitan rever reverse. Uh, alright,
I'm gonna just I'm just gonna like say this for
(51:43):
like all of them, because it's true for all of them.
Speaker 6 (51:46):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
I wasn't expecting or what drew me in was how
the plot reminded me of Free Zero.
Speaker 4 (51:52):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
I really am disappointed myself for telling you to watch
fucking in Humans, Matt. I will ever live that down.
Speaker 4 (52:00):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (52:00):
And like all the all the like twists, the characters
were all like endearing and they weren't just like two
D cliches.
Speaker 4 (52:09):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (52:10):
The the first villain we think is not actually like
that bad, and then the second one comes out of
left field. The ending was bittersweet, and I do wish
like they gave us a little bit more. I can
understand that they didn't want to like make it a
fucking mess. The fight for great. The music was great.
Speaker 4 (52:30):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (52:30):
I enjoyed the animation.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
The op and n d ED.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
I would have put as much or I would have
put the ED as my best D.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
But like I appreciate what I've picked, uh more than
uh the ED for alright.
Speaker 6 (52:48):
Uh op star might have called a night.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
I also have called the night with that Spanish guitar.
I as soon as I heard as soon as I
heard the Spanish guitar, I was taken back. Oh my god,
that's that's just bring me back the resion before.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
I love this ship.
Speaker 8 (53:06):
All right, all right, I had that and you redeemed yourself, Chris,
you I'll give you redemption. That's your redemption art.
Speaker 5 (53:17):
Yeah, even before we're having catch alright, uh ending theme.
I had Lord of the Mysteries, even I number eight
A starman had Cleavens.
Speaker 3 (53:26):
I had unda on. I fucking I've said this back
when uh honey lemon soda came out or d D
for that came out. I fucking love it when kids
just act like kids and dance and be fucking stupid
with uh an act silly, uh, even if like they
they're in like a serious situation or just everyday life.
Speaker 5 (53:50):
All right, uh soundtrack. I had a lot of the
Lord of the Mysteries even had Fragrant Flower and Starman
had Address Up Darling.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
I got commy Subaki City Under Construction, a show that
I'm the only one watching.
Speaker 6 (54:05):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (54:06):
They the The reason why I chose this one is because,
uh it's the music anime about fucking actual beat singers youtubes.
I don't know what they are, uh in this world,
like their actual their actual personas are the characters in
this and they sing their actual songs that like they
(54:28):
have on YouTube in this show.
Speaker 4 (54:30):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
I only fucking realize it like halfway through the show
when one of them sang like one of my favorite
songs that they sing, So yeah, I'm going with that.
Speaker 6 (54:40):
Coming Subaki City.
Speaker 3 (54:42):
Yep, all right, let me uh.
Speaker 7 (54:45):
Found right there?
Speaker 3 (54:46):
Yeah, yeah, I gave you that number.
Speaker 6 (54:48):
I don't know, Bob saying, because I'm doing this on
my phone while you're talking.
Speaker 7 (54:51):
I got it. Yeah, all right?
Speaker 6 (54:53):
The best original head omnok as. Starman had Penny stockin.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
I also have Omio. I can all right.
Speaker 5 (55:01):
That makes it, That makes it easy. Yeah, all right,
you are all caught up. Let's go, all right, Steven,
what's your adaptation?
Speaker 7 (55:16):
I want to apologize to the fans for those who
don't know I suffer sometimes for diverticulosis, and so this
weekend I've had an attack and it makes my life miserable.
Thus I had to excuse myself to relieve myself. In
any case, the easy answer is Taco Pie. I really
want to go with Tacope. However, in preparation for Hikaru,
(55:39):
I did a deep dive because Matt you had mentioned
about the homosexual overturn overtures of the show, and so
I wanted to investigate, just wanted to see what the
fans were thinking. And this happened about one or two
episodes in and I periodically went back to X I
reviewed people that talked about the show.
Speaker 6 (55:57):
Oh yeah, yeah, I say, like I pointed that out too, yes.
Speaker 7 (56:01):
And so there was wide applause at the adaptation and
how it was done throughout the season. As you guys know,
I don't read manga, so I'm going to go off
of x viewership from actual anime fans, and there was
a good positive consensus on Summer her cow died, So
therefore I am going to go with that.
Speaker 3 (56:20):
Okay, raised my head awkwardly.
Speaker 7 (56:23):
I fucked up.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
My adaptation wasn't Tarahana. It was actually Tacopy.
Speaker 10 (56:28):
It was it was it was place, Yeah, it was it.
Speaker 3 (56:34):
Was Taco py okay, I fucked up. I was like,
oh adaptation, that's right, Calhana, because I've been watching that
recently and then I loved My list is like, oh no,
it's Tacopy.
Speaker 6 (56:46):
I got.
Speaker 7 (56:50):
The answer. The easy answer is Tacopy. I just didn't
want to.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
Well, as someone who's as the only one who's read Tacopy, yes,
the easy answer is Tacapy, like especially in episode one
when you fucking hear the fucking pendulum swing, Like, oh
my god, I was losing my ship when that happened.
Like they added an actual layer of detail of oh yeah, no,
we're we're making this as fucked as possible.
Speaker 7 (57:17):
All right.
Speaker 5 (57:18):
Uh, now is time to do our actual categories, our
actual genres. So let's give out some cakes. The erotic
cake for best fan service or etchy anime.
Speaker 3 (57:32):
Chris might like, I didn't watch that many fucking etchies,
but this one sort of counts. I went with watry
kuon No x Is About to Collapse, mostly because, like
the the the eches was like actually fucking risque. I've
(57:52):
mentioned it before wherein.
Speaker 2 (57:56):
Main Childhood Friend.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
Uh, sneaks under your main characters fucking futon while his
crush who is known as f cup and starts grinding
on his leg underneath the fouton while she's taking care
trying to take care of main character who's sick. So like,
I'm I'm okay with I chose that, okay man.
Speaker 8 (58:20):
All right? Uh Etchi anime that I have is going
to be uh oh yeah yeah, you's gonna be Panty
and Stocking. It was like there was no other anime
that was like Echi fan service than Panty and Stock.
And it was literally it was nudity. Almost every episode
had nudity and whether or not you can really consider
(58:43):
that the anime style has no detail because it's straight
up cartoon.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
You know, the best part, the best fan surface is
when they fucking transformed. That's that's the fan surface you've got.
Speaker 8 (58:53):
It's it's it's like no like that. There are scenes
where where Pantsy is is riding Calgirl reverse Calgirl. There's
showing like her nude. You've seen stocking nude. You've seen
like the strip, the strip Tea's where even you know,
scanty and knees, socks, change clothes or panting and Stocking
transform you got that. Even guard Belt had his moments
(59:15):
where he's just like kinked out. Everybody had some fans.
There was so much fan service to go around. There
was even a Fast and Furious episode dedicated to the
reproductive system in freaking saying, yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:31):
He's the only man base enough to give god fucking
uh bdsm.
Speaker 8 (59:36):
Choys crazy but yeah, uh Pan and Stocking.
Speaker 7 (59:44):
All right, even similar star man. I didn't watch many
uh atchies this season, but the one that was the
at that I did watch was there's no freaking way
I'll be your lover dot dot dot unless lesbians kissing,
lesbian taking baths together it counts.
Speaker 4 (01:00:09):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (01:00:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:00:10):
I also did not have much, so I just went
with you know what, fuck it? I did dress up Darling.
Season two wasn't as actually season one.
Speaker 5 (01:00:17):
But there were a couple of mo specially with the
bunny out there, like okay answers, just a temptation of
the bends over bunny outfit the laws.
Speaker 7 (01:00:28):
It's like, no, no bad, bad nothing now.
Speaker 6 (01:00:36):
So yeah, I gave the dress of Darling. I really
had nothing that's probably gonna.
Speaker 7 (01:00:39):
Be in my year.
Speaker 6 (01:00:40):
I'm being honest. At these out of the summer.
Speaker 7 (01:00:43):
But let's see what happens with fall. I have have
have some good ones. Tales of the Wedding Rings. Yeah,
someone was really good if they fuck sure, it's a really.
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Good They actually showed kits.
Speaker 7 (01:00:57):
I know it was uncensored.
Speaker 9 (01:00:59):
I know.
Speaker 7 (01:01:01):
Citties. All right, all right, sci fi the.
Speaker 6 (01:01:07):
Deep Fried Twinkie.
Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
So there you go, Chris, I'm going. I'm going with
Taco P. Another easy answer. We got aliens, we got
time travel Shenandians, we got sucking uh bullship, friendship Newses Yeah, friendship,
the pendulum. Yeah, no talk, easy answer, all right?
Speaker 8 (01:01:37):
Sorry, man, wait wait what now what do oh Taco Py? Yeah,
Taco P. Just space alien, come a space alien come
in to town, like really, just to like right the
wrongs of humanity and make friends. Yeah, man, definitely are
(01:02:01):
you the same?
Speaker 7 (01:02:03):
You know? I had Doctor Stone, of course, Doctor Stone. However,
I in thinking about it in these literal minute and
a half Doctor Stone this season didn't focus as much
on the technology as it did the overall plot. So
I'm changing it to tacopy.
Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
We broke that.
Speaker 7 (01:02:27):
The one and only time that this will not win
of the season, just because they like, you know.
Speaker 6 (01:02:34):
It's not just sci fi because of the science they dude, right.
Speaker 7 (01:02:37):
I don't give a fuck.
Speaker 6 (01:02:40):
As well.
Speaker 7 (01:02:42):
The next season and Doctor Stone when they go to
the fucking moon, that's fine. But I'm saying like it was.
Speaker 8 (01:02:55):
No, no, but we can move on because he literally
explained this a few shows ago, a year ago, two
years ago and said, well, fiction and it's if they
do sciences, dark the Stone, so that it's a Christian show.
Speaker 7 (01:03:11):
Yeah, and message Jesus one time and that's it.
Speaker 8 (01:03:15):
You or or or yeah, that will be or.
Speaker 7 (01:03:23):
The way you said it was great.
Speaker 8 (01:03:29):
Doorm it's the church. It's it's it's a Jackals. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:03:35):
Has an argument christ with rocks like it's a science fiction.
Speaker 6 (01:03:38):
No, it's her science.
Speaker 8 (01:03:39):
It's not fiction, it's realistic fiction.
Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
I don't know that. I don't know that the way
she does that thick bounces fiction.
Speaker 7 (01:03:48):
How you can make a jiggle.
Speaker 5 (01:03:49):
I will not attest to this, but this is not
because it's about rocks, glorious shiny thick rocks.
Speaker 8 (01:04:00):
Yeah, and some you got some other things rocking.
Speaker 7 (01:04:04):
I'm just saying that this show has devolved now that
the four of us are united.
Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
She didn't pick very for fucking.
Speaker 7 (01:04:14):
I wasn't enough joggle Man.
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
You're right, there was more fucking expedition than I.
Speaker 7 (01:04:19):
Need more Noggy in the outfits anymore.
Speaker 8 (01:04:21):
And Marinny what nothing?
Speaker 7 (01:04:28):
I thought I herd to do a need more feet
and I'm like, huh no feats. I like, but that's
a different conversation for a different show it is. Yeah, sure,
after hours. All right, let's get the opera cake for
best sports or music anime. If you don't have one,
(01:04:51):
you got the other, or if you got both, picked one.
Speaker 9 (01:04:54):
But if you got, you shut the fuck up.
Speaker 8 (01:05:02):
I got I got one, Okay, ahead.
Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
I got comed City under construction, as I said before,
with soundtrack. Uh, the fucking singers go around using their
fucking song magic shenanigans to fucking help defeat evil monsters
that are killing people.
Speaker 6 (01:05:24):
Okay, yeah, alright, sorry man plug your album.
Speaker 8 (01:05:33):
That was no this anime although it wasn't a music
or sports anime because they did so many uh spoof episodes.
They gave us a musical episode and a sports episode,
so New Pan and Stocking. Yeah watch, yeah they did that.
They actually had a sports episode and then they had
(01:05:54):
a whole musical episode.
Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Yeah, can sing fun was great.
Speaker 8 (01:06:00):
The aphisode was That episode was dope. The musical episode
was like crazy. This Flos episode was dope. And playing
football that was awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:06:07):
Qualified.
Speaker 7 (01:06:09):
Yeah, I was literally gonna say, if I can't do
some of my shenanigans, are you gonna allow this? Referee
blag guys.
Speaker 8 (01:06:17):
Like no, just qualified as I try, I try, I tried.
Speaker 7 (01:06:24):
Oh my god, kid with you. We would have plugged it.
I would have available. Book four came out of uf
ago read it. I'm waiting for the compilation. I'm waiting
for the compilation, and I'm gonna play extra to send
it to the starman's home and he's going to sign
it for me and send it back.
Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
All right, even I think we I think we have
to say one.
Speaker 7 (01:06:48):
One, two, three, let's go. Thank you for recommending it.
It was a fun show people. It was a simple watch.
Enjoyed it.
Speaker 6 (01:06:58):
I liked it five episodes, so I'm glad you like
that one.
Speaker 7 (01:07:04):
It was fun. I didn't like the finale. I will
say that finale let me down, Yeah, because like it's
bars like it added the same way Episode four ahead,
I'm like, well I didn't need it. They could have
just if it ended at four episodes, it would have
been a four. Yeah. I think I would have just,
you know.
Speaker 5 (01:07:21):
Go and see them doing karaoke after they met, like
you know, yeah, I see how he learned or something
like that.
Speaker 7 (01:07:27):
It would have even meant more if they would have
met even years later, not literally as soon as you well,
they did meet five years I mean like like they
literally mentioned him, and then the next day at the
airport they meet like fate, Yeah, and then they rein
they recap episode four yeah, yeah, yeah, three point seventy five.
(01:07:52):
That's about That's about where I gave it a three
and a half. But I enjoyed it.
Speaker 6 (01:07:58):
I want to listen to the Crimson, the actual saw
on Crimson.
Speaker 7 (01:08:00):
Not the poor bro it was. His take was so
fucking so I just want to hear the real Crimson.
Months of training so.
Speaker 6 (01:08:10):
Well, yeah, he didn't like he didn't practice, like three
years in jail, so you didn't want.
Speaker 7 (01:08:15):
To sing because you might have had them cheese clapped
Japanese prison. He could have been singing the Heavens if part.
I'm like, in real life, have you guys ever seen
what Japanese prison looks like? No, it's like boarding style,
like you have like six people in one cell. They
sit there quiet as fuck for like fourteen hours of
(01:08:38):
the day. They get one hour of like they get
to talk to people, and they get like they sleep
the rest of the time. It's insanely like mentally like fucked.
Speaker 8 (01:08:49):
I mean, they try to rehabilitate people, though it ain't
you know, I don't know how how that.
Speaker 7 (01:08:54):
Applies, but they mentioned that when the documentary it was
like an hour long documentary on YouTube. I mentioned, like
the principle of them sitting in silence for the most
part is for them to to to reflect on on
the gravity of their actions into a tone for their sins.
And then another part of like their work, they actually
do work as well through it's tone and to you know,
(01:09:15):
give back to the community that they've taken away their
crimes and stuff. So it's actually relatively interesting from that perspective.
H Real life Japanese.
Speaker 6 (01:09:27):
All right, let's get the flag cake for best slice
of life, Best slice of life anime?
Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
Easy cahanah uh okay, yeah, I prefer calling it this
fuck you. Uh yeah, it's it's uh fucking high school
kids uh navigating uh secret friendships and.
Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
And eventually dating.
Speaker 7 (01:09:59):
So mm hmm okay, sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:10:04):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:10:05):
Blah blah, that's a good one. That's a good one,
you said, best adaptation. Oh yeah, best slash life. That's right,
best slash of life. Matt, you're killing me, Bro, you're
killing me. I don't know what to tell you. Is
the best. I gotta think about this because I forgot
(01:10:26):
some of the rules. So go to Ethan, come back
to me. And I got you. I got you, I
got you.
Speaker 7 (01:10:32):
I had with you in the rain until I sat
here in the ten seconds Chris talked and I was like,
he's right, freaking flower blooms a dignity. So flower blooms
the dignity.
Speaker 6 (01:10:43):
Okay, I almost picked that. Well really rocks. It's about about.
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
What's a.
Speaker 7 (01:10:57):
Life platonically universe? But right, but no, what other what
other acronyms? Keep going?
Speaker 8 (01:11:12):
Well extra, all right, our cool?
Speaker 7 (01:11:21):
Yes you thirty minutes or its three? Excellent?
Speaker 6 (01:11:29):
Alright, God, I know you're gonna say, but.
Speaker 8 (01:11:33):
I can't. I can't, so I'm gonna get uh yeah,
I thought about that, like you already you already caught me.
Speaker 6 (01:11:40):
He was like, yeah, he didn't pick in his rain.
I would have said yes here.
Speaker 8 (01:11:44):
You know, no, and I did, That's exactly what I
picked in so I was like, oh, yeah, I can't
pick the same thing. So yeah, so what is going
to be my slice of Life? I hate doing these
lazy picks. Well I just got to throw something, but
it is what it is, so uh dressed up Darling,
(01:12:05):
you got it.
Speaker 6 (01:12:06):
I actually had that thought in my head. Thank yous
gonna pick this. It's a good one because of.
Speaker 8 (01:12:14):
College life, no rights, got so much going on. But yeah,
definitely not dressed up Darland. Slice of Life's bot costplaying
cots playing in school.
Speaker 7 (01:12:26):
Yeah, okay, all.
Speaker 5 (01:12:28):
Right, now it is time for the birthday cake. And
that is best comedy, best comedy anime, Chris.
Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
Oh, this one's super easy. Night of the Living Cat
that ship. That's it's so fucking stupid hilarious that like,
for no fucking reason, it's just about fucking cats that
can turn people into cats and also control animals making
(01:12:58):
them act like cat.
Speaker 7 (01:13:02):
It's especially there's.
Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
Like so many stupid movie references like a cat like
breaking in, like breaking out of the door and like
looking through it. Ak.
Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
Yeah, uh it's so good, especially the dumb the dumb
fucking like reaches a whole actual level of comedy that
the subject doesn't do for some reason.
Speaker 8 (01:13:31):
Sorry, all right, best comedy for me, It's gonna be
h New Panty and Stocking. New pant and Stocking was like, honestly,
like I couldn't even give it. I gave it the
witch Watch last season, so I couldn't gave it the
witch Watch this season. So definitely, New Panty and Stocking, Like,
got that. New pant and Stocking was pretty funny. It
was funny when it was funny. It was the funniest
(01:13:51):
the first season, but it was still pretty freaking audaciously hilarious.
Speaker 7 (01:13:57):
So yeah, this was this was easy for me. Detectives
these days are crazy callbacks from various animes. The animation
style fucking hilarious. The main girl on the show literally
had a bra that had like every literally an episode
one she pulls up Bazooka out of her bra, fucking hilarious.
(01:14:21):
She's an ape woman, She's got like superhuman strength, agility.
Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
All the shit.
Speaker 7 (01:14:25):
The main male character is an old man that blows
his back out pause every fucking every every episode. Damn
near he's oldest. Shit again. This comedy Galaora. The callbacks
especially made it fucking hilarious. Dragon ball z Jojo references
uh Naroto running fucking mentions of jiu jitsu Kaizen demon
(01:14:50):
Slayer at various comedic intervals. Easy, easy, and one of
my sleepers of the season. Detectives these days are crazy.
I probably gave you the summarization for Where Land in
the thirteen just now because I thought it was so
fucking funny.
Speaker 6 (01:15:08):
Mima was not even the living cat, ye it was.
It is so absurd, but I cannot help but laugh.
Speaker 7 (01:15:20):
Just again.
Speaker 5 (01:15:20):
The horror movie references the posters and the credits and
stuff like that, and it's just.
Speaker 6 (01:15:28):
You can't take it seriously.
Speaker 7 (01:15:29):
But you know what, it is just a fun watch
what all this comes out? This is my favorite thing.
Speaker 5 (01:15:36):
No, but it's an entertaining show, and it's the overtalk
comedy of wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
There's nothing wrong that first admitting that you cheered for
the rhino looking cat.
Speaker 5 (01:15:47):
Yes, I was, What's like, what is happening? There's a
rhino that's like a cat. These cats and granny.
Speaker 6 (01:16:00):
Ah, alright, let's move on, Halloween cake. That's supernatural.
Speaker 7 (01:16:06):
I'm going with.
Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
Don with this one. Yeah, Don don uh we got
we got giant Mongolian worms. We got fucking uh the
evil ghosts possessing more again. Uh, innocent kid. We have
the fucking best fight of the fucking season. I'm not
(01:16:27):
even gonna hide that. Uh, but I'm not gonna say
which one.
Speaker 4 (01:16:31):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:16:32):
And we also got like fucking Kaiju fights against our
I guess a gun. Yeah, condom versus like hiju.
Speaker 8 (01:16:46):
Huh uh starm uh saying don to don yeah part two?
Speaker 3 (01:16:53):
Yeah, all right, all right?
Speaker 7 (01:16:56):
What was the warden? Sorry, supernatural called the nice season two?
Speaker 8 (01:17:03):
For me?
Speaker 6 (01:17:04):
Okay, that's vampire vampires. I almost gave it to Hanaka Kuon,
but I actually gave it to the summer Hickra died.
I liked the supernatural elements with like the but yeah,
(01:17:24):
it's like the creature that's in Hit Hard all that.
Speaker 7 (01:17:26):
I liked the design of it. I liked.
Speaker 5 (01:17:29):
Yeah the creatues. I wish had a little bit more
of it, but we did get some here and there.
So what over season two is gonna up that up
that anty?
Speaker 6 (01:17:39):
But we got here in terms of like a horror
type feel mm hmm, and we look forward to a
basic horror.
Speaker 7 (01:17:46):
Yeah. That was I was fun. So that's my It's
gonna be Hit card for me. M alrighty, let's go.
Let's pick a random cakes. Do do the Mango cake
or mystery slash thriller Songo cake? Why can't it be
(01:18:12):
like something random like Surprise Cake.
Speaker 3 (01:18:14):
I don't know it is random because mango mago cake.
Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
Guess we're gonna eat a fucking mango cake?
Speaker 7 (01:18:21):
Would Islanders.
Speaker 6 (01:18:24):
Matt.
Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
I was gonna fucking TikTok. I was gonna picktock.
Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
But but because I actually fucking finally caught up to it,
I'll give you it lots than the Night or a
lot of mystery.
Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
Yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
I didn't give I didn't tell you, like I didn't
have it on my list before, because like I was, like, no,
I think my list is I didn't like wait, no,
hold on, I'm looking at you finish Yeah, well no,
I didn't finish it yet. It's not on my top
thirteen because I didn't finish it because the fucking fun
episode of the Dub's not out.
Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
But but itself really.
Speaker 7 (01:19:05):
Good like that, so you are liking it. Poor Neil, Chris,
Poor Neil. All right, continue.
Speaker 8 (01:19:20):
Oh oh okay, okay, best supernatural mystery thrillers call it
a nice season two. College Nice Season two was was
they they really dug into the mystery of Nausna in
her past and and the way that they executed that
and the reveal it was top tier, top tier. So yeah,
(01:19:40):
Collin Nice season two.
Speaker 7 (01:19:42):
Mmm, some of her car died For the thriller aspect.
I was on baited breath throughout the season waiting for
what was next. Again, I'm skittish, and so the fact
that I was at the edge of my seat waiting
for what insane, fucking animated creeping would come out, I
think it earned that reward. If not, I would have
(01:20:03):
given it the taco be because easy.
Speaker 8 (01:20:04):
But some.
Speaker 7 (01:20:09):
Uh my is Lord of the mysteries.
Speaker 6 (01:20:11):
It's in the fucking name for sake. Uh No, that's
the easy answer.
Speaker 5 (01:20:17):
No, it's just I like that it keeps you guessing,
like you like you think you haven't figured out, but
you really don't.
Speaker 6 (01:20:24):
And I like those twisted turns. It makes you want
to think more about it.
Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
One, I had no idea what the was going on.
Speaker 7 (01:20:33):
Yeah, I was giving again.
Speaker 5 (01:20:34):
Yeah, yeah, you know, and you don't know everything yet,
but you're here slowly getting puzzled. The puzzles put together slowly,
but surely.
Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
But but that's also because it was they only have
the Chinese do and I hate listening exactly.
Speaker 7 (01:20:53):
Yeah, but that but but now that's in English.
Speaker 3 (01:20:55):
You got it, right, Yeah, yeah, now I'm getting it. Yeah,
I'm only fucking watching Dragon Rogers because I saw fucking
season one and that was Japanese though, but fuck season two.
But but it's it's surprising because Heason two. It's fucking
better too. For which one Dragon Rager.
Speaker 6 (01:21:15):
Okay, yes, I'll never forgive the Chinese.
Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
I will never forgive the Chinese. But number one two
has more fucking violence. They're more fucking graphic with their gore.
The opening is a fucking bop. Not not to say
that season one was bad, but like they're they're doing
a lot better with the animation.
Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
They're they're going fucking crazy with it.
Speaker 7 (01:21:40):
All right, that's fune Okay, now let us go, let's
get that apple cake in for adventure, best adventure anime, Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:21:54):
Easy, iva samurai leggend. I mentioned this. I think I
had this as my fucking sports because it was more
sports related in.
Speaker 7 (01:22:03):
Uh, you gave it action last season?
Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
Yeah I did, okay, I did give it action.
Speaker 3 (01:22:09):
Uh this time they're more like focused on going around
Japan to find these uh orbs the power Gaiba's fucking
sword in order to be able to beat fucking onymru uh.
And then that just opens a whole fucking can of
worms where this fucking space princess from Narjo comes down
with bunny ears and says, hey, uh, I'm gonna fuck
(01:22:32):
your ship up because Hagia's uh name brand?
Speaker 8 (01:22:38):
Okay star Man, all right, I got doctor Stone Man,
Uh yeah, doctor Stone Science Future like that venture. They
went from California all away around the Drake Passage like
they they went. No, they went all the way down
to the Panama Canal, found some road, went went straight
(01:23:01):
into the jungle the heart of the Amazon. Meanwhile Stanley
is on them, built the ass he's on a built
to ask Stanley is coming, went through the Drake's Passage
all the way around, comes back up to the Amazon
just to get that ass. Like it was an adventure
because Tom was on the clock, the clock was ticking,
the stakes were high, and just they built, uh, they
(01:23:24):
built motorcycles, they built like lifts, they built whatever they
had to do to get where they were going, like
it was nothing. They were just running through it. It
didn't even make no sense they did. They made a submarine,
they made a decoy like it was. It was just
a full on science adventure. Loved every second of it,
all right, all.
Speaker 7 (01:23:44):
Right, even Sean took all my my thunder with Doctor Stone.
So Doctor Stone, all my thunder everything I was I
was gonna say, he said it, So yeah, yeah, I did.
Speaker 6 (01:24:00):
Brew Rocks Adventuring Excavated. They go to his brand, They
go to the various sites around the city to go
for these rocks and to the venture every time. And
I'm not gonna say more for it, because otherwise I
ain't good.
Speaker 7 (01:24:18):
Rocks.
Speaker 6 (01:24:19):
We're done, all right. Time for the moon Cake. Best
fantasy anime.
Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
Oh, this is another one of those that I'm the
only one who watched New Saga. It's a what are
the series called? Where a guy dies in future then
goes back to his past self. It's one of those.
Speaker 2 (01:24:43):
He goes to try and change it so he doesn't
lose all his friends and killed the team.
Speaker 9 (01:24:49):
And release.
Speaker 3 (01:24:55):
Uh whatever.
Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
He goes back to the past uh uh, gathers like
his friends to like fight, to get them strong enough
to beat the demon Lord and to change events so
he doesn't lose all of them. He meets up with
both checks he sleeps with in the future, and he's like, okay,
you two are coming with me. Uh so, yeah, it's
(01:25:21):
a it's a fun fantasy.
Speaker 6 (01:25:23):
Okay, Starbus all right.
Speaker 8 (01:25:27):
Uh let's see I got doctor Stone for the last one.
And you said fantasy. It's seventh France, man, Uh, it's
seven France. How did I Yeah, I became to seven princes,
so I could, you know, focus on my healing, you know,
focus on my magic, magic ability whatever seven Prance was.
(01:25:49):
That's the best fantasy, best fantasy. It was just I
don't know, man, he has magic, he's opeed and his
action is magic is God's his demons? Great fantastic anime.
Speaker 6 (01:26:03):
Yeah, all right, even do you have the same as me? One, two, three,
which yep, yep, I want to describe it? Yeah, go ahead,
all right, no sign of which. The magic is incredible
(01:26:23):
that what's her face is able to do. I'm bringing
her name now, dammit, Monica. Monica's magic is absolutely incredible,
incredibly animated, incredibly complicated. Uh in terms of the mathematical
equations to come up with these un heard of on
untouched spells, then the magic throughout the show is really
(01:26:46):
quite splendidly done as well. Yeah, I mean they go
to magical School and have adventures there too, So I
don't know, I'm not probably encapsulating this the best.
Speaker 7 (01:26:55):
I'm kind of thinking of how I'm gonna say it
when I get to it in my thirteen.
Speaker 6 (01:26:59):
But no, I enjoyed it, enjoyed the aspect of it.
I'm glad it wasn't like another Ki type of show. Yeah,
it was a straight up fantasy at the concept of
spells that did there.
Speaker 7 (01:27:12):
The magic School. Mh.
Speaker 5 (01:27:16):
Probably not a whole lot to add until whenever we
get to our part two when we're talking about it more.
Speaker 6 (01:27:22):
But as an aspect, I enjoyed this very much.
Speaker 3 (01:27:25):
Agreed, that's why we have the same The word I
was like was regression. It was a regression series.
Speaker 7 (01:27:33):
Yes, all right.
Speaker 6 (01:27:35):
Red Velvet Cake best romance animal.
Speaker 8 (01:27:39):
I had red velvet Cake for lunch today.
Speaker 6 (01:27:41):
By the way, anyway, this is where this are going
to fly.
Speaker 7 (01:27:46):
I can hate to talk about this. Chris, please hurry
up with tears.
Speaker 4 (01:27:50):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
Best romance of I don't know when uh uh, it's
it's like one of the best newer romances I think
it also really content as well with some of the
older ones. Uh just by. There's no fucking bullshit. There's
(01:28:12):
no like oh man does he Uh, There's no like
fucking third Wheel, There's no dumb soon Today. There's no
fucking stupid pitch who says, Hey, I'm gonna tease the
fuck out of you, and every time we try to
talk serious.
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
I'm gonna just continue to mess with you.
Speaker 3 (01:28:29):
From best friend and best friends or ten girls be
and guys be best friends. I'm not gonna go too
fucking into the details with it because respecting Starman who
hasn't seen it, but just the like the last like,
the last two episodes were fucking amazing.
Speaker 7 (01:28:50):
Mm hmmm mm hm.
Speaker 8 (01:28:53):
Alright, sorry, all right, best romance My best romance for
this season was which watch?
Speaker 7 (01:29:01):
I can't wait to slander this when we get to
later on Well wait watch, yeah, I'm slander it. Bro.
Speaker 3 (01:29:08):
I I don't like season two. I've said that I
don't like season two because of the change of yop,
but like, I don't.
Speaker 8 (01:29:17):
Like it for a think you thought I was gonna
say rent a girlfriend, then you I am sure if
I did say a girlfriend.
Speaker 7 (01:29:25):
I was about to be fucking Stanley Belta ass.
Speaker 8 (01:29:30):
Everyone's favorite romance when it has that scene no rent
a girlfriend. Uh, I thought about it, but it wasn't
really any romance at all. It was just it was
more it was more of the same that you love
to hate. They did go on the three episode run
that like deserves a mention, like they did going to
but that was more of a drama, Like they had
(01:29:50):
three episodes of intense drama that was just insanely over
the top and like really pulled you in. But uh,
other than that, I mean, is it technically a romance show?
It's wrong. I mean yeah, yeah, I mean you didn't
do anything, but like neither did which watch? Which watch?
(01:30:11):
The I mean they mentioned romance. There's really no romance
in which watch.
Speaker 7 (01:30:16):
That's not all right, we'll talk about it.
Speaker 8 (01:30:19):
You know, it's just really nothing in there. There's a
couple of car it's a couple of ships in there,
but there's nothing more. But but it's just satisfied, pacified
ethan fu fuck it, we're in a Girlfriends Season four
best romance there It is.
Speaker 7 (01:30:37):
No man starman misquality. He misquality on a couple of fronts.
He missquality with Fragrant Flower, and that would have though
that everyone up. I hated. I hated the principle. I
haven't watch No No Sandwich between a head rest and
the seats on the way to Ohio. I binged ten
episodes in that.
Speaker 6 (01:30:58):
Oh you're a sandwich sh and I was a man
and a gay woman.
Speaker 7 (01:31:03):
You're right, I was.
Speaker 8 (01:31:04):
Here's the same thing I said about the movies. How
the movie will come out limited release in Japan, then
we get it months later, and it's like a twenty
twenty four movie. We get over here in twenty twenty five,
but we're gonna count it in twenty twenty five because
we saw it in twenty twenty five. I believe that
precedent sets why next season when I when I say
(01:31:27):
Flagrant Flowers the best romance next season, y'all gotta let
me do that.
Speaker 11 (01:31:30):
Y'all gotta let me get that off first. I gotta
let me get it off. That's my full argument. Later,
don't worry about it. I'm not gonna fault you for that.
Speaker 8 (01:31:41):
Yeah, y'all have to let me get it off because
I'm watching it in fall.
Speaker 7 (01:31:46):
I'm unnecessary effort then to do this because I binged
this fucker. Like I said, I say, God, y'all gotta
lea everywhere but here. That's not there is where we live.
Speaker 8 (01:31:58):
So next season, that's gonna be on my fall list.
That's on my fall list. That's a fall animated.
Speaker 6 (01:32:04):
I want her to do that too, Yeah, be cause
we we all did our whole.
Speaker 2 (01:32:12):
I'm impatient.
Speaker 8 (01:32:15):
Y'all are asking me to do something technically illegal to
do it that's not notgal.
Speaker 7 (01:32:20):
I bought a valid VPN and logged into my valid
Netflix account to validly watch this show ahead of America
because Netflix don't give a fuck about people that support Trump. Yeah. Yeah,
for some reason, that.
Speaker 6 (01:32:40):
Was not part of.
Speaker 7 (01:32:44):
I'm on the side.
Speaker 3 (01:32:45):
No that what everyone they like.
Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
They fucked up with the Blish voice casting.
Speaker 3 (01:32:51):
They sucked up.
Speaker 2 (01:32:52):
They fucked up for like English viewers.
Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
I watched.
Speaker 8 (01:32:56):
I watched the trailer, and I can I can sit
up here and tell you, like, bro y'all, y'all, y'all
made these people. Y'all made us wait, and then when
I heard the voices, I was just like, bro y'all.
This girl in the trailer for the Japanese one sounds
like a flute. The girl in the English version sounds
like a trombone. How did you?
Speaker 7 (01:33:12):
How you?
Speaker 8 (01:33:17):
Her whole vocal tone is like two autums lower, like, Bro,
this girl sounds like barrel white, like how y'all?
Speaker 4 (01:33:23):
Not like.
Speaker 8 (01:33:28):
Shout out to the actress like I'm not gonna I'm
never gonna slander their English vas for just doing the
job they were hired to do. But this all falls on, Bro.
You gotta be when when you when you? I watched
I watched and Shirley the last episode I watched. I
watching Japanese and I sat up here and was just
like everybody tone match, No, it really sounds like when
(01:33:50):
you go back to English, just like the lead voice
attress in the English version, she killed it. She put
the Japanese voice satts the rest, but the Japanese voice
attress and sounds so much cuter. She sounds cute because
it's a higher pitched voice, but it sounds theatrical in
the English version where it's like, oh no, you killed this,
This sounds like I'm watching the place. She really carries
the English voice sat and Shirley carries the whole show.
(01:34:12):
But as far as fake fire, I saw both of
the trailers and it's like dang. The voice just it's
just something. When I hear it, I was like, yeah,
i'm'a probably just watch this in Japanese. I don't even
know why I made me late? Do I know?
Speaker 7 (01:34:28):
When are you? When are you and me in the
Green Gables.
Speaker 8 (01:34:31):
Man Prince Edward Island in Canada? That that'll be a
hello trip. They're gonna have to be in spring.
Speaker 7 (01:34:36):
No, I'll go with you.
Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
Going back to like Cawarko's English voice.
Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
I can't falter because it's her first fucking thing, and
whoever cast her cansted her as the wrong fucking character
because she shouldn't have been a main fucking lead for
her first fucking role.
Speaker 8 (01:34:57):
I haven't seen it, so I can't mark the talent.
It's just a vocal to like if one character is
like because I do music and producing, so it's like
if one character in the in Japanese version sounds like
I said, like a flute, Like she has this high pitch,
airy voice, and then you get the English voice and
it's much more fuller and it's at a lower depth
as far as her vocal or vocal tone is just
(01:35:18):
more richer and heavier. It's like it, don't she don't
sound cute. She don't sound cute in the English version,
you know what I'm saying. Japanese version, she sounds cute.
English version, she don't sound cute, just sound like a
regular girl that I'm gonna meet.
Speaker 7 (01:35:33):
Supposed to be because she is cute cute.
Speaker 8 (01:35:36):
Yeah, I get that she's supposed to be. She is
and so's yeah. So it's like she's not supposed to
sound for the girl next door they make they opted
for the girl next door versus like just the cute girl.
But but I get it, Actually don't get it. I
haven't seen it. That's I'm just judging off the trail.
So let me shut up.
Speaker 7 (01:35:53):
Tell you, if you're talking about the girl next door,
there's nothing sexy about her. She is just prim proper
cute Japanese teenager. Nothing sexy. And that's perfectly fine, perfectly acceptable. Okay.
And going back to my selection, Chris, I had told
you at the time that I didn't believe Fragrant Flower
is a better romance than what I had selected. I'm
(01:36:16):
gonna tell you I enjoyed Flagrant Flower more than the
show that I selected as my romance of the year. However,
I feel and I will get into it more because
I gave another award from this show to our main characters.
You can kind of guess where I'm going with that.
(01:36:36):
I will be throwed to my sister's ex. It is
Cinderella the anime. You are literally watching a full romantic
adaptation of what it would have been like if Cinderella
had to go to the Prince like they basically they
(01:36:57):
get together and then they move in together. And I
would imagine it would have been told in a similar fashion.
And I enjoyed the depth and I'm gonna go into
the depth more when we get to set award. I
enjoyed the romance aspects of that slightly more. But I
will say I enjoyed Fragrant Flower as an overarching anime
(01:37:19):
more than I did be thrown to my sister's ex.
I just think in terms of romance aspect, I think
it hit differently.
Speaker 3 (01:37:28):
I have I have two issues with that one. Well
they're not issues two points. First point, fragrant Fragrant Flower
is just Romeo and Juliette.
Speaker 4 (01:37:41):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:37:41):
Second uh second point. I do enjoy the romance in Betroth.
It's just that we didn't get enough. We got more
of her issues than actual romance between them and dealing
with her issues.
Speaker 7 (01:37:58):
And I think there and I'm like, I say, I'm
gonna get when we get to the award that you
guys should know by now, if you're not retarded, you
should fucking figure out what I'm talking about.
Speaker 8 (01:38:06):
I'm gonna get Summer podcast.
Speaker 7 (01:38:09):
Boy, that's mine.
Speaker 6 (01:38:12):
I'm waiting.
Speaker 7 (01:38:15):
Is your flight now? Please go? But no, I don't.
I've got anywhere. I'm right here. Go to your person,
man off and go to your person. I'm gonna get
more into it. I agree with the Romeo and Julio
Juliet aspect to a degree. I think it's not as
(01:38:36):
deep of a Romeo and Juliet. I can see the comparison.
Speaker 8 (01:38:39):
I get that.
Speaker 2 (01:38:41):
I respect it gets Yes they did.
Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
They didn't get it that far into the fucking like
story yet, but it does get there. I was like,
having this complaint to like ten chapters ago in the
manga and then hits the fan. The fact that it.
Speaker 7 (01:38:56):
Didn't get there precluded me from rating it higher and
putting it higher on my list.
Speaker 3 (01:39:00):
Yes, which is why I was the same with bu
Box when they fucking aired, because they didn't even get
they only touched the clean up romance. They barely touched
anything with you not to I mean, like besides what
they showed, like they didn't get into like them like whatever.
I'm not gonna splay it.
Speaker 7 (01:39:20):
That's fine, it's fine anyway. I chose Bethrowed to my
sister's X. I'm not this is not one that I
want to change I and I will get more into
why I chose it as a romance when I get
to the other award. However, a spoiler alert on my thirteen,
I have fragran Flower above Bethrowed, and I will explain
that when I get the five Betrothed my number. No. No,
(01:39:45):
I will explain why I put fragran Flower ahead of
betroth when I get to freakin Flower on my list. Gotcha,
Sarmer Pockets best Romance five. Heck you you can go
right a big. I have the power, so do I.
Speaker 6 (01:40:08):
But I'm not gonna say it. But no, it's fragrant,
It's fragrant Flower.
Speaker 3 (01:40:16):
No, it's.
Speaker 6 (01:40:18):
I'm glad I watched this when I did, because I
really had nothing for robots.
Speaker 7 (01:40:24):
Really, no.
Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
Watch you had, you had summer, you had dress up, dard.
Speaker 6 (01:40:33):
Dress darling yeah, it was okay, it was and with
that ill that was closed and that was the closest
one I picked.
Speaker 3 (01:40:42):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 6 (01:40:42):
I'm like, it's like the same times, like it doesn't
feel right, but this one does. This one does feel right.
Speaker 7 (01:40:48):
I'm really upset that that Sean didn't see it. I'm really,
I genuinely am like a little disheartened that he wasn't
able to see this.
Speaker 8 (01:40:55):
Bro, I got you next season.
Speaker 7 (01:40:57):
Yeah, he got almost ship did his wit.
Speaker 3 (01:41:02):
When when he watches all of it, we'll have a
fucking like special where we can just talk about it.
Speaker 7 (01:41:08):
We can have a thirty minute little mini Bro.
Speaker 8 (01:41:11):
I can banish it. I could be well, I don't
know if I could do that. I could binge it
on the whole flight.
Speaker 7 (01:41:14):
But now, Bro, usually VPN is legitimate. It is not
a pirate site. I used the VPN to watch the
legitimate show on the legitimate networking country.
Speaker 6 (01:41:30):
Alright, moving on, uh t K best action, best action
out of it, Chris.
Speaker 3 (01:41:39):
I'm giving this the uh rebirth reverse. Uh easy easy
clap for this. The fights were really good, the power
levels weren't fucking complete bullshit. Main character actually had was
able to defend himself against the world that he was
suddenly uh thrust it into unlike in uh Silver Uh yeah, okay, sorry.
Speaker 8 (01:42:09):
Man, clever Test Clevertist. Clevertist tried like that. They did
something not many anime did. Cleverest actually tried. It was like,
you know what, this is an action show. First episode,
the gate first episode honestly will sell you on the
show because there's so much action. But they didn't do
that thing like this one anime I started last season
did where the first episodes fire and then they just
don't really get back to that. No, Cleveris kept with it.
(01:42:32):
They kept with it. They kept the action theme all
the way unto the end. So yeah, best action of
this series of this season was Clevertist.
Speaker 7 (01:42:39):
You can say demons because none of us put it
in our list, I imagine, So.
Speaker 8 (01:42:44):
That's the only time somebody gonna mention it. But yeah, Clevertist, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:42:49):
I gave it nothing.
Speaker 7 (01:42:53):
But m h but you think I had Matt, what
do Let's see what it?
Speaker 6 (01:43:00):
What did you have that was technically action?
Speaker 4 (01:43:04):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (01:43:05):
You have you have Kaiju?
Speaker 3 (01:43:10):
You did you give it the Shield Hero?
Speaker 7 (01:43:15):
Fuck? No?
Speaker 6 (01:43:17):
I was like, you have Shield Hero, you have Hotel
in Humans?
Speaker 4 (01:43:21):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (01:43:24):
Or th Nah, he gave me the Soccamoto days because
that's the only that's the only answer, that's not clevis.
Speaker 7 (01:43:32):
I don't watch Soccer Modo days.
Speaker 8 (01:43:34):
Unfortunately, well, well damn, he don't watch Soccamodo days.
Speaker 7 (01:43:37):
I gave it. I give when we got action. The
action was fucking great. Kaijua versus Kaiju nine was my
leading contender for Fight of the season for a long
ass time until later on.
Speaker 8 (01:43:46):
Are you talking about the first? They literally had three
episodes action first episode, second episode, last episode, and it.
Speaker 7 (01:43:53):
Was fire, even the action for the even the action
with uh what's his face? With Chikawa?
Speaker 8 (01:44:00):
No, no other shows delivered like real be a high
stakes action other than KA number eight. You're gonna stand
on you.
Speaker 2 (01:44:08):
Don because of all the fucking really good.
Speaker 6 (01:44:14):
You don't you don't wantch don you don't want to
talk about you didn't watch the one I.
Speaker 7 (01:44:20):
Don't watch. It's nothing. It's not even like I don't
want to watch them. I just they didn't hit me
as something like I need. So I know how amazing
they are and how like hype they are, doesn't it?
So I give the Kaiju Shield Hero Shield Hero had,
especially the final fight and shield Hero for the final episode.
It was one of the highest steaks battles you had.
(01:44:41):
But just in terms of my enjoyment and my simplicity,
give it the Kaiju. It's not when it's not one.
I particularly I'm like yay because Kaiju for itself, you know,
it's not like yay. But when we got it, we
got it as a matter of fact, because I I
said that I'm demoting it on my thirteen, I'm putting
(01:45:02):
it in good.
Speaker 5 (01:45:05):
I'm putting it, uh mine. I did not pick it
last season, so I'm going to do it here to
be hero X.
Speaker 2 (01:45:13):
Actually I did it last season, so I couldn't pick
it this season.
Speaker 7 (01:45:17):
I know you did. I I saved it.
Speaker 6 (01:45:19):
I was rather all right, you know what, I'll give
it to win breaker for now, I'm pretty sure hero
will go it did so yeah, I have it, especially
the fight well we finally get X is just so
fucking good. I love all of it.
Speaker 7 (01:45:34):
Great, great everything. We'll get to that later. M hmm.
That was my action out of you know, if people,
if the people have picked up, although I've not given
an order, I've given a good like. I think over half,
if not the majority, of my like list if people
have like who are listening eventually when they do listen. Yeah,
I've given the majority of my list so far, just
(01:45:58):
not in order. All right, all right, our last genre
the depression cake. That's the drama. Yeah, I mean this
should be easy.
Speaker 3 (01:46:10):
Yeah, I think everyone worked. Maybe maybe there's like one or.
Speaker 7 (01:46:14):
Two you didn't tacopy, epictocopy, Chris pictocopy, John Matt also pictographycoy.
Speaker 8 (01:46:24):
That's our second unanimous all right.
Speaker 7 (01:46:27):
On a tacopy the easiest to Ford. Yeah, we all
we all have to die.
Speaker 3 (01:46:34):
So as soon as you guys like finished episode one,
you're like, yeah, like, alright, I thick.
Speaker 7 (01:46:39):
I picked that it was the most it is the
depression cake after episode one. But in terms of the drama,
the drama builds up honestly after episode two when fucking
they killed his bitch with the camera.
Speaker 5 (01:46:51):
Yeah, what's next drama? All right, next up, let's gotta
ice Mockey out of here. For best ventuals not animation,
like background scenery, that type of thing that's visuals.
Speaker 3 (01:47:09):
Fragrant power. I enjoyed like how everyone looks. I enjoyed
the little fucking touches to when uh Rent or calcow uh,
actually feel like the they did, like the color fucking
thing where they feel like, oh ship, there's like a
weird emotion here from like to be next to this person.
Speaker 2 (01:47:31):
I really just enjoyed how everything.
Speaker 7 (01:47:34):
Looks mm hmmm mm hmm. Okay, Star.
Speaker 8 (01:47:39):
I gave it to the same anime three years ago,
and I'm gonna do it again the Call of Night
season two, Collar and Knight, Like they didn't lean heavily
on the visuals uh this season as much as they did,
but they did not They didn't slack up. I mean
they they didn't do it as much, but they didn't
like just completely let it go. But it never lost
(01:48:02):
this luster whenever you saw it. Like, I love how
every couple in the entire show gets a scene where
they fly around the sky and the music plays. You
get a soundtrack of creeping ups in the background while
they flying through disguise, and there's like a million billion
times more stars. And I really can't wait to see
if the city really is purple at night like that.
(01:48:22):
That's that seems kind of coop. I hope you see it,
so yeah, definitely call it the nice season two. Mm.
Speaker 7 (01:48:30):
I agree with both of those. I gave the call
the night for everything, Sean said, Matt, uh.
Speaker 5 (01:48:37):
Mine is Lord of the Mysteries. It was very beautiful.
Look at backgrounds of the blood born type of the background,
old British, the dark sens. It was a nice little
contrast of everything that they have done. So everything that
in terms of background and all that, But I said
by music, it was also the art of it as well.
(01:48:58):
They wasted no time to give the art direction of
it the.
Speaker 6 (01:49:01):
Love and deserves. So that's why I give it to
Lords Mysteries.
Speaker 7 (01:49:05):
You said, Lord of the Mysteries is Old British. So
is it like kind of like Jack the Ripper vibe? Yeah, yeah, Okay, curious,
I got like, yeah, exactly that.
Speaker 6 (01:49:18):
Already.
Speaker 7 (01:49:19):
Uh now on, let's get some Ramen best fights. I
thought you're gonna go animation.
Speaker 8 (01:49:28):
All right, I know, I know, me and Chris picked
the same show. I wonder if we picked the same fight.
So I'm curious.
Speaker 3 (01:49:34):
I picked, ok, and I versus the fucking orchestral of
bands or the fucking uh no no not yeah, the
music room when they're fighting like Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and
all those.
Speaker 6 (01:49:53):
I almost picked that one.
Speaker 3 (01:49:54):
Actually, it's such a good fight. Oh hey, we're teaching.
We're teaching how to actually fucking fight, so you can
fight evil life. It was so good, all right.
Speaker 8 (01:50:08):
That was my second choice. My first choice was Donda
don was Okaron versus the Evil Eye. The reason why
I picked that one is the previous episode, the cliffhanger
they leave off on where they both do the kick
at the same time. They both do the same kick
and then it goes off and it's like, okay, next time,
it's we're gonna reread it, and they literally as soon
as the next episode came on, they picked the right
(01:50:30):
well left off. There was no, no, nothing, and it
just goes And I think it's the scene where Okaron
really figures out, man, I gotta beat you, and even
though he gets bad up and it wasn't enough. I
think it was him jumping and punching through his stomach
the whole time, like he knew that that was the
only move he had to beat him. He just ran
(01:50:50):
out of juice. So yeah, that fight was like the
first time they fought because Okaron gave it. He went
all out, he gave everything he had, he went all out,
and it just wasn't enough. And I like how they
just got saved by Granny like like it's like, bro,
I love it. I love situations like that, like they
you really like he went down to the wire and
it was not enough. It really did feel like Vegeta
(01:51:13):
versus Goku and you know, and go Hunt just falling
on Vegeta on some fluke shit like damn, Like, like, bro,
you got to say.
Speaker 7 (01:51:25):
All right, I said, Kaiju eight versus Kaiju nine was
my leader for the majority of the season until now
as Enough versus Uncle happened toward the end of the
toward the end of the Call of the Night. I
think the reason why I gave that isn't because of
like it isn't necessarily because of like the entire fight
(01:51:48):
like as a whole, But I think the emotional background
to the fight really really told a deep story of
these two best friends that do to a misunderstanding, have
come to this point where they got to fucking just
duke it out. And you have one person who's hell
bent on wanting to die and wanting to kill all
(01:52:10):
the vampires, and you have the other one who not
only wants to save her best friend in terms of
like her life situations. When she finally puts all of
it together, but also the fact that she's fighting for
a man that she's subliminally falling in love with with Coe,
because Co at the end of the day, is really
the centerpiece around that with everything else together really adding
(01:52:35):
emphasis to it. And you have her and she doesn't
want to kill her, she doesn't want to hurt her,
but she's so enraged. This is the first time in
the series you see a vampire at like it's darkest,
at their darkest, where they are just hell bent on fighting.
And you have Anco who's trained and killed plenty of
vampires and is just beating Nazana with just simple defense,
(01:53:00):
simple evasion. She and taunting her process like you think
you're gonna beat me like that, you can't do that,
And there's a sense of desperation involved in that fight.
It literally takes Co busting through as Nazena has found
her resolve to fucking kill this woman that she loved
(01:53:21):
herself in her own way individually. It takes Coe to
stop them and put everything back center and into focus
in order for there to be an angle into the
next scene that's equally as pivotal for the plot, which
we'll get into later. So I think in terms of
the gravitas of that fight and the animation and the
(01:53:45):
styling of it, easy to meet. Fight of the fight
of the season for me is that. Okay, I had
quite a bit.
Speaker 5 (01:53:56):
I had gru and IIRA Composers, receivil Eye, I Cline
and Done against the Dark. Creator also had Lovely top Power,
ghost Play and Big Johnny against Nice and Soul.
Speaker 6 (01:54:13):
But no, I went with X versus everyone and to
be hero acts with the finale. It's just I love
the fine aspect of I love how X just easily
handle them.
Speaker 5 (01:54:23):
Even the one that's supposed to be his weakness wasn't
really a weakness, and even he got.
Speaker 6 (01:54:29):
Fucking Chris Sabbat as the dog buying a man's deck.
Speaker 7 (01:54:33):
Hit it off everyone.
Speaker 5 (01:54:35):
They fruit, They threw black guys. They frewd number fifteen
twelve eleven. That was the name show relaxed. That was
the name of the people they called them.
Speaker 6 (01:54:43):
In the Dove.
Speaker 5 (01:54:44):
Chris, remember that with the dev Yeah, yeah, that was awful.
I don't know why they called that. No, it was
like Dragon Ball Super with the dev like what. But
I just see it's just seeing more out of access
power where it gets everyone how you could just handle
all these people. All I want to say, this is
one person, which is very easy. So yeah, just cool
(01:55:08):
cool as by the power.
Speaker 7 (01:55:09):
So that's why you give us.
Speaker 6 (01:55:09):
That next time, Angel food Cake. That's protagonists.
Speaker 3 (01:55:17):
But I'm surprised he didn't give it to the trailer fight.
Speaker 6 (01:55:21):
If if we actually saw that it's something like two
years ago, I would have because they didn't put it
in the episode. It was just their constant trailer two
years ago, just to get ready for it.
Speaker 2 (01:55:35):
Yeah, and then they fucking threw it in at the
as the last Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:55:38):
You always yeah, you always see them.
Speaker 6 (01:55:40):
In the walls, in the walls, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:55:44):
So Angele food that's the best girl protagonist, best protagonist. Uh,
I'm going with Monica the Rock from Bochy the Witch,
the Witch. Yeah, the Witch, Monica the Rock.
Speaker 7 (01:56:00):
Such a like, uh, that's fine, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (01:56:06):
It took me a couple of seconds and I'm like,
oh yeah, uh fucking Monica.
Speaker 3 (01:56:11):
Norton went through such a growth during this fucking season,
from just being meek and not wanting to interact with
anyone to just and focusing on numbers to actually being
friends with the Prince and making a ton of friends
and speaking.
Speaker 2 (01:56:29):
Out against the boy who traumatized her.
Speaker 7 (01:56:32):
Like when she was younger, one of the men that
traumatized her.
Speaker 8 (01:56:38):
Barnie was right, Bernie, Bernie was right.
Speaker 7 (01:56:46):
Fuck fuck that club, Bernie.
Speaker 8 (01:56:49):
Yeah, man, Bernie, Bernie was right. Bernie Bernie did nothing wrong.
Speaker 6 (01:56:56):
Well neither the script.
Speaker 7 (01:56:59):
So you're gonna play that card Jesus, all.
Speaker 8 (01:57:04):
Right, all right?
Speaker 4 (01:57:07):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (01:57:08):
Alicia Alicia Glenfeld from Clevitist. Alicia is such a fascinating
character because she was a knight. She was one of
the uh, one of the few. She was one of
the like what ten thirteen knights that were sent to
go and conquer Clevitists. Wasn't even told why she has
to go conquer Clevitist. The only thing she was told
was he's a dark beast. You got to go slam.
(01:57:31):
And she was the strongest one, but she was the
most humble. All the other men talking smack, they're checking her.
Some some are even like, you know, like checking her out,
like produce to her. You just you just girl, man,
take out that arm or limits what you can really do.
I ain't worried about you with so how would you
play with this sword?
Speaker 6 (01:57:48):
Tight?
Speaker 8 (01:57:49):
Like that's really how they're telling me that she got
She got to deal with auto misogyny, she got to
deal with But she's humble the whole time because she
knows that she's the most powerful. She comes from the
sword like her dad was a legendary sword master. Clever
Tist kills everybody like like he don't spare nobody. Everybody
gets killed. She's the only one to put up a fight,
(01:58:11):
and she even cuts his horn. But that clever Tist
is so impressed by He is so impressed by her
effort he gives her dark Ichor, which is his blood,
which allows her to come back in the zombie state.
But he's like, hey, I give you my dark Hecker
because I need some questions answered. Why did y'all come
(01:58:32):
get me? She was like, man, I ain't gonna tell
you nothing like on some standing on honor real briefly,
and he's like, don't make me hurt you. Like, so
he does this little thing, and she's like, I have
to tell him. I can't lie to him. So she
tells him everything and he's like, all right, appreciate it.
And now she's he's like, what you do with me?
She said, well, look, you work for me. Now you
(01:58:54):
have to do what I say do And she was like,
I'm here to slayer. He's like this, please, you ain't
gonna do nothing. You can't do nothing but do what
I tell you to do. So he gives her her
body back. And now she's conflicted because when Clevison sets
his plan in motion, which is to raise the future
king to be a puppet that but he also sets
the rule that, hey, I'm going to raise this baby.
(01:59:16):
Matter of fact, you're going to raise this baby. If
the baby dies, I'm killing all of humanity. Just off rip.
If he die, I'm giving up on all y'all. So
protect that baby with your life. So, on one hand,
she's the entire series's she has to listen to Clevices
because she's she's bound by the honor wanting to redeem
herself as a hero. That not only she no longer hero,
(01:59:36):
but she's a fallen hero who has to serve the
very being she went to going slave. Now she's slave
to him, and she has to recognize that he is
not in the monster she thought he was, and maybe
the king who sent her and her blind faith in
the government is what kind of is messing everything up,
So she has to look at the whole political the
(01:59:58):
whole politics of the kingdom from the outside for the
first time and really realized that being a hero is
more than your duty. It's raising to the expectations of
the people, protecting the people, doing what you think is
right in the face of your your duty. But anyway, man,
she she was a protag She was a real hero,
(02:00:19):
a real protagonist, and anytime she needed to step up
to fight to kill, she did it. Put she put
her life. She was immortal, so she could put her
pseudo life on the line, but every time she did
it was noble. She she wanted to be noble again,
and so she fought real, real hard to really like
earn and her mind, her value and nobility back of
(02:00:41):
being a real hero. But to do it, she has
to serve a dark lord, which is, you know, a
conundrument and of herself very perplexing. Ethan, you would love
fucking clevity.
Speaker 7 (02:00:50):
You sold me. What was that, Chris Away?
Speaker 8 (02:01:03):
At least Glen fail.
Speaker 7 (02:01:06):
For season two.
Speaker 6 (02:01:08):
Okay, I'm gonna look at that type that in right now.
Speaker 9 (02:01:17):
Yeah, yeah, I can bet John Dale C L e
V E p A T E. S. S.
Speaker 6 (02:01:30):
But watch your protagonists while you do this, even.
Speaker 7 (02:01:38):
As I'm not watching, Planning is planning, all right? I
had a planning protagonist. I mean, Sean killed it with
his with his for his so I can't I can't
follow that. But I gave it the crow. I was
struggling a lot in terms of trying to come up
with a protag Monica was an option, but I never
(02:01:59):
really loved Myna the way that Chris described it. It
makes total sense. I'm not gonna, you know, go against Chris,
but I never loved her the way like he's describing.
And then nobody else really kind of stood out. What's
her face? There was waggery might have stood out, But
in the end, I think I gave it to and
forget fucking Takopy. I hated everybody on that show except
(02:02:20):
for the brother I think I get. Yeah, I gave
it the code just because of the fact that at
the end of the day, like he is the folk
rum to in essence kind of saving vampire kind, you know,
even though like at the end at the season, finally
they're like that was her plan. That wouldn't have fucking worked.
But still in general, like he is a folk rum
(02:02:41):
to that vampire universe and is a leading figure in
terms of like helping them realize things, being supportive, especially
helping Nazena with trying to figure out her past, and
being there for the other vampires as well, being able
to fundamentally change Anco as a whole, and literally like
(02:03:01):
giving up his life damn near by getting accidentally shot
to fucking ensure that she doesn't kill herself, because he
was adamant about not having anybody die or be hurt
through this entire process, more than what the fuck they've
already have been. So I thought that that was really
noble in and of itself. So I think deserves that
for me.
Speaker 5 (02:03:23):
Mine was also Monica from Secrets to the Silent Witch. Yeah,
she's upite grown. I was rooting for her, and Chris
Chris more or less just said it best with everything
describe at her of why I like Monica. So I so, yeah,
that's why forbid it is Monica for the protagonist's side
(02:03:44):
of it. But now we got that one out of
the way, let us do Devil food Cake best antagonists.
Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
I went when this came, when like we were like, okay,
what what am I gonna fucking do uh when early
early on in the season, I was like, man, you
know who's a good fucking antagonist. Every single fucking adult
except Taco PE's mom in Tacopy. Those are those are
some really good fucking failures of society. But then I
(02:04:17):
was like, Okay, that's too fucking broad. I'm just gonna
do supermisan from uh from kiten uh omio, kiten rebirke
reverse uh uh. I'm not gonna go like already her
fucking twist at like her like fucking backstab at, like
(02:04:37):
in the middle of the like eight episodes in was
fucking out of nowhere and fucking glorious.
Speaker 2 (02:04:44):
Oh man, uh I just I just loved it all and.
Speaker 3 (02:04:48):
Turns out like she's behind fucking everything. Is like man,
I I yeah, she's fucking great. And she's not even like,
uh bad antagonist where she's just fucking crazy. She's actually
pretty simple because her life was shitty on the moon
in the future, so yeah, I mean like, yeah, she did,
(02:05:08):
but it's not like she didn't have a reason to
like go off the defense.
Speaker 8 (02:05:15):
Okay, sorry, man, all right, I've been waiting for this.
Oh whatever, I go to make a name for myself
all right. Best antagonist was nobody other than Stanley.
Speaker 9 (02:05:31):
What I.
Speaker 8 (02:05:34):
Think, bro, Stanley was a He was the villain. There
was no better villain than Stamp because see, here's the
thing about it, Stanley was like part of me. I
don't want to get too political here. Stanley was an
American white male with a gun, and that is the
most threatening thing in this whole country. I said what
I said, Stanley was straight up I'm gonna kill you
(02:05:57):
when I see you. All he had was guns. These
Japanese children and kids and story the song spoilers. Stanley
didn't care. Like they can sum it up as an
act the war. But Stanley, it was on He was
the definition of smoke. It was on site. Stanley straight
up like he straight up he hit, he hit, He
(02:06:23):
hit Stanley Man. Stanley hit Sinkle with everybody like like
he straight up, bro.
Speaker 7 (02:06:33):
He blew up with a grenade.
Speaker 8 (02:06:35):
He hit everybody with He hit everybody with a Utah special. Nasty, nasty, nasty.
Nobody could come back from that like it was. It
(02:06:56):
was insane. It was insane, Sorry to Ed.
Speaker 7 (02:07:04):
Not the Utah Special.
Speaker 6 (02:07:06):
We got we got we got seven more awards, Oh yeah,
I got, I got mine you haven't even add for Stanley.
Speaker 7 (02:07:17):
No, all right, yeah, right now you're out, you're out. Well,
uh Mine, is this the parents in Taco Pee? Because
how just freaking realistic it.
Speaker 5 (02:07:33):
Is with the abuse, all the different types whe there
was a motion, neglect, physical, psychological.
Speaker 6 (02:07:40):
They covered all those things but abandoned me.
Speaker 7 (02:07:45):
Yeah all that. Yeah, they literally sexual abuse. That was
the only thing that show did not touch the best.
Speaker 5 (02:07:51):
They were like thirteen or fourteen. I could see them
doing it if they wanted to do that, but the
fact they were like ten, probably not.
Speaker 7 (02:07:58):
Yeah, that's the one line. Yeah, that's totally.
Speaker 3 (02:08:01):
Done it in the in the first timeline where meets
older what's her face?
Speaker 7 (02:08:10):
Man?
Speaker 6 (02:08:11):
Yeah they did that. Sure the followers still around, probably.
Speaker 7 (02:08:15):
But it really wasn't. I don't want to go down
that path. Yeah I don't either, So I don't want
to go down that path.
Speaker 5 (02:08:22):
But no, like again, the realistic of parental juice in
all shapes and sizes, they covered that there. It's like, god, damn,
that's just that's such fucking evil Pete.
Speaker 8 (02:08:32):
Yeah, it's easy, that's evil.
Speaker 6 (02:08:34):
P It's crazy Pete insane.
Speaker 4 (02:08:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:08:39):
Same in the membrane pe all right, let's let's move on.
Speaker 7 (02:08:48):
Let's move off. Bustin cream pie. P.
Speaker 6 (02:08:55):
It's the best couple of Sorry, it's the best duo
or group P.
Speaker 2 (02:09:00):
I mean.
Speaker 7 (02:09:05):
Like that. Uh uh, I come on.
Speaker 2 (02:09:15):
A name, So I just called them the funny thing
I can think of. I don't know, he tells paranormal
ball busters from don.
Speaker 7 (02:09:27):
We picked P.
Speaker 2 (02:09:29):
Yeah, I picked the paranormals from.
Speaker 4 (02:09:35):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:09:35):
I fucking love that dynamic as a group, even though
like half of that like, uh we got now aliens,
we got fucking a fucking uh Mecca fan boy.
Speaker 4 (02:09:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:09:49):
The group just like has a good chemistry together.
Speaker 7 (02:09:54):
Okay, okay, what's the award be?
Speaker 8 (02:10:01):
Yeah, best group of duos? A group of duo? Man,
since like for this particular ward, I know, like historically
we would go with a dual, so you pick two
people now, like off top, I was like stocking, that's easiest.
They were that's the duo. But I wouldn't think like
deeper on this. And it's like I really want to
give it, like as far as a group, I really
(02:10:22):
want to give it to the Kingdom of Science.
Speaker 7 (02:10:24):
Like I really we want to get the same level
to night.
Speaker 8 (02:10:30):
They're putting their lives on the line. Everybody, Like everybody
just knew like we we're not gonna get like like, well,
we got to put our hopes in one person, squeak up,
you're gonna have to carry this home. But everybody knew.
It's like, yeah, bro, we pobbably shot, like finally showing
up with guns, we're probably getting shot.
Speaker 3 (02:10:52):
And they were just like it's not even just those
the people back in America.
Speaker 8 (02:10:56):
Tell yeah, everybody, every everything, Like the group, you know
what saying back in America was just like in there,
like they went and they attacked and they got shot
point blank range. I still don't like they stepped on
they jumped on grenades, they did whatever they had to
for this mission, and it's like that kind of sacrifice
(02:11:19):
just just it was all.
Speaker 7 (02:11:22):
For one to the max. Yeah, man, all for one,
and the one not being the one was Sweeker. When
it was all said and done.
Speaker 8 (02:11:32):
Yeah bro, like like you just you survive a mass shooting, bro,
and you you know it's coming and just you got
special yeah man.
Speaker 7 (02:11:44):
Brother.
Speaker 8 (02:11:46):
Sorry, Sean, I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (02:11:48):
Hey, at least at least what I made by joke
about Busan, Like last year, I saved that for the
group and said.
Speaker 7 (02:11:56):
It out loud, listen to the two darkest men on
this podcast, or just talking the truth.
Speaker 8 (02:12:06):
I couldn't no, no, for the sake of the show.
I couldn't. I was I couldn't name drop for the
particular sake of the show because that would have just
that that was too easy, that was long hanging fruit.
And I was just like, you know, I'm not gonna
do that because I'm not gonna. I wanted to be flavorful.
What would Dave Chappelle do?
Speaker 7 (02:12:23):
And I feel like going to Saudi Arabia?
Speaker 8 (02:12:29):
Yeah, you know, I'm.
Speaker 7 (02:12:37):
Curious, Sean, I'm curious. There's gonna be an award that
comes up if we give the same since we're on this,
we're on the same vibe right now. Some curious awards.
Speaker 8 (02:12:45):
We'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 5 (02:12:48):
Go ahead, man, I have nothing further that people the
Tudori High Students for Frankrant Flowers, so rentro sign.
Speaker 7 (02:12:57):
Show, Hey and I.
Speaker 5 (02:13:00):
Love them together, go to chemistry. No, No other characters
felt felt like a waste. They're all on equal footing
in terms of development growth. This connection bell with friends,
uh so, I because I can't give all the I
can't give the free friends support an actor because it's
just one.
Speaker 12 (02:13:18):
So calling yes, I wanted to do that. They were
such good voice and that's why I said, like they're
they're a group. It's you can put it there.
Speaker 7 (02:13:30):
That's what I did. I was gonna tell that he's like,
traditionally think of a duo, and I was like, I
actually traditionally never go with dual because it originally was duo.
Speaker 6 (02:13:39):
They're like, you know what, the groups of back and
so that's why we happened together just in case. All right,
now the wedding cake, best couple or ship.
Speaker 7 (02:13:51):
Hey, I can't wait for this, Chris, tell us why
it's a cowco and uh fucking yeah, because.
Speaker 2 (02:14:00):
Walking sut together. That's that's why fucking together it is.
Speaker 7 (02:14:07):
And I know, and I assure I knew you were
gonna give this. That's why I was like, so please
tell us.
Speaker 2 (02:14:12):
It's because they're just really cute together, like.
Speaker 7 (02:14:16):
The whole the whole last episode like.
Speaker 3 (02:14:20):
For me, but they're just like the commitment into UH.
Speaker 13 (02:14:31):
And the way that like UH Rentor was like hesitant
and was protective of Bogging in the beginning, to like
the bad blood between UH.
Speaker 2 (02:14:44):
And it's just they're fucking Anchory.
Speaker 3 (02:14:50):
Okay, despite the bad blood between their schools.
Speaker 7 (02:14:55):
Fair fair sorry all right?
Speaker 8 (02:15:00):
Uh for best couple, man, I went with Nozzle nun Co.
I felt like Noza nun Co, like their whole relationship
was just really predicated on eventually him turning. And I
guess that kind of sort of did kind of happen
in the moment, but it was always he was unsure
about his feelings, how he didn't know what love was.
(02:15:21):
He couldn't define it, and I think it could. I
think if he would have had a love before, a
crush before, he would have known. But his ignorance to
what love was. I think it's the only reason why
he really didn't turn. But despite that, like, uh, the
way that they would like, uh that PDA this season
kind of what did it for me? Like randomly she
(02:15:43):
kissed him like they kiss each other in the hospital
before he went into the thing, before they went into
the school on the last episode, and you know, they
kissed like she would just kiss him. She kissed him
in front of everybody's approval. Point then at the end
she was like, nah, I'm actually taking his relationships serious.
I'm not finna kiss him just to get y'all riled up.
We're finna just go and she goes. She ride on
his bag. She would like, like there were a couple
(02:16:04):
like you, they would hold hands like they were a legit.
They made it. They made it without the cheesy I
love you, you know what I'm saying. Like they they
made it. They're a couple, and I like that. I
like that. They were my favorite couple, all right, College night.
Speaker 7 (02:16:20):
Even again, I would have given it to Rentaro and Woggery,
but I gave it to Kiros and Marie. I understand
Chris's point. This is the other war that I want
that we were talking about when we talked about Bethroat.
I gave it to them because of the fact that
you're right, Chris, the emphasis was on Marie. But it's
(02:16:41):
still the principle of a man literally doing everything he
can under the sun to correct a lifetime of PTSD
and trauma. I think overcoming that obstacle and showing and
having to rehabilitate Marie and show him like why show
her sorry, why she's valued, why she's important, Why reminding
(02:17:05):
her why she's beautiful, why he fell in love with her?
I think that is really what makes the couple. I
agree with you, Chris in terms of how natural Wagheri
and Brintaro are, and I think that that finale really
cements that and brings it together. It's why it was
a close battle between the two. But I just find
(02:17:27):
that Kiros and Marie's story the Cinderella story to be
just more effective and more wholesome and more touching from
that degree. So and I'm going to give a spoiler
alert when I'm talking about Kiros in terms of being
that supportive person. I gave him a Bondo. I'm giving
you my award right now. When we get to Husbondo,
it's Kiros, because I think Kiros is really what makes
(02:17:48):
this anime. The man in particular really is what sets
this apart. Where it's normally like you have the female
antagonists and swaying the male in it. No, it was
heavily driven on having a genuine male role person there
to show this broken woman what it's like to be,
(02:18:08):
you know, desired and cared for. We always make the
joke I can fix her. Kiros fixed Marie, and I
think that's where the value in that ship really works
itself out. And another thing to point out, which I'll
get into when I talk about it later. During the thirteen,
this is an interracial couple. Kiros is presented as a
dark skinned Indian looking fellow who speaks a different language
(02:18:31):
and comes from a different country compared to the white,
redheaded woman. So the fact that they're an interracial couple,
and then there's issues amongst that situation as well that
are very underlying. Again I'll talk about that later. I
think also speaks volumes to the principle having a Japanese
anime presents a valid, loving, legitimate interracial couple. So I
(02:18:52):
think it just means more holistically having Kiro Samuri be
the couple of the season over a Rentaro and and Woggery,
despite the fact that they are the cuter couple.
Speaker 8 (02:19:04):
That's flavor flower couple.
Speaker 7 (02:19:05):
Right, Yes, wait my couple of the season. No, that's.
Speaker 8 (02:19:12):
Yeah, Patrol, Yeah I figured as much.
Speaker 7 (02:19:14):
Yes, mine is not.
Speaker 6 (02:19:21):
I had to give this one as this was since
spring that's been building up from enemies.
Speaker 8 (02:19:27):
Man, don't you I already know what you're fun to say,
and Gilbert, I knew you was gonna say that. I
just knew that's who you was done.
Speaker 7 (02:19:38):
Mister shows, did they get together. Finally, yes, they kiss
in the finale. She rejected, right, but yes, man, I was.
Speaker 8 (02:19:47):
I literally was gonna hit you up when when I
watched the last episode, I had to watch the Japanese
and it was such It was because I loved it
up so much, but it was still good. But her
confession to her so continue, Matt, that was I see
why you picked them, because that almost picked them.
Speaker 5 (02:20:03):
To No, there's the realization of those feelings, like she's
been holding them all because she doesn't know she has
her like you generic shallow of what a Prince Charman
is type of thing. Yeah, it was like right in
front of the entire fucking time, but she was too
blind to see. And then she only realized that when
he was about to die.
Speaker 7 (02:20:22):
But he didn't die.
Speaker 5 (02:20:23):
Frankly, it's like her prayers have an answer, you know,
the fucking sky dedication ship.
Speaker 6 (02:20:27):
But no, the confession was.
Speaker 5 (02:20:33):
Great, the kiss, the background a bit that was all
just beautiful, nicely done from the front.
Speaker 6 (02:20:38):
As the development than I had to give it to them.
So it's a Gilbert all right now, banana kick wife who.
Speaker 3 (02:20:53):
My wife? Who is not? It is my fucking antagonist
sicking me aside fucking you.
Speaker 7 (02:21:06):
He literally does, don't get me wrong. Yeah, yeah, she's great.
Speaker 3 (02:21:12):
Uh despite the fact that, like she does go on
her fucking I'm gonna fucking uh control. I'm gonna take
control of this fucking fake world and just enjoy my
life as everyone's fucking idol.
Speaker 6 (02:21:29):
Her.
Speaker 3 (02:21:29):
Her moments in the earlier seasons were sucking great. She
was like the perfect life who. She was like attentive,
she was like uh uh kind to the main character
and like she could be fixed and which which which
is hinted to at the end of the season.
Speaker 8 (02:21:53):
Alright, Sorry, U mine's gonna sound so lazy by default,
but I just no one really was giving wife fu vibes.
But so I think no one top marine. You know,
no one taught marine. So I was like, eh, like, plus,
Marene didn't really do anything this season to really secure
(02:22:15):
that spot. But I just kind of felt like there
was not enough anime I can in this particular season,
like there there really wasn't like.
Speaker 7 (02:22:25):
From from Lauren's Marine tran.
Speaker 8 (02:22:31):
Mm hmm, but yeah, uh marine marine whatever, from uh
my dress up Darling.
Speaker 3 (02:22:37):
Oh oh hey, I thought you were talking about uh,
fucking the chick from fucking Ray hen.
Speaker 8 (02:22:46):
Oh gotcha, gotcha? No, no, no, no, my dress up,
darlar Bro like like it's just it's it's really it's
it's too easy. And it almost felt like just too
easy to pick. But I was just like, man, I'm
not gonna lie like if I think like they created
the perfect anime dream girl so to speak, like she's
pretty fashionable, she's a model, she got her own money,
(02:23:08):
she's in the anime, she's in the cosplay, and she's
heads over heels for the guy. Yeah. Like like it's
just she checks off every everything for the most part
that you could want, like just dream Wee Girl, Like yeah,
dream Weep Girl, Like literally they made the dream Weep girl.
And it's just like, you know, even for the aesthetic
because with her they do the fan service. But one
(02:23:31):
thing they did on this season is they showed her modeling.
Like so they showed her modeling, and they showed when
Gojo would get the when she got her camera and
he started taking the photos. The candice of her genuinely
being happy. I think it was that it was that
last episode when she was really really shy and and
she just said, hey, let's take a selfie, Like how
happy she was just to be around Gojo, but she
(02:23:53):
always shined even through her cosplay. So yeah, man, Marien Man,
she's a white fool man shot out of her.
Speaker 7 (02:24:00):
That's the easy default.
Speaker 8 (02:24:02):
But I can look at default.
Speaker 7 (02:24:04):
It's the easy default. I look at Waifu in two
different perspectives, the easy default that you just mentioned for
all those reasons, or I look at it from the
realistic perspective, and I think there's no woman this season
that embodies a realistic woman than my My is realistic again,
model most famous women in Japan supportive, and that is
(02:24:25):
the key, is the support that she gives Sokata to
be able to go through all of his fucking hoops
to fix these fucking broken women that have really nothing
to do with his actual life. But he's so passionate
about puberty syndrome and he helped save her, fix her
and near together because of it. She allows him to
(02:24:45):
go on these crazy, wild adventures in order to try
And you can get this.
Speaker 8 (02:24:50):
Are you sure this is not you're making a case
for best Girl. I don't. It don't sound like you're
making a case for white Fu, but continue, So I picked.
Speaker 7 (02:24:58):
Someone else for best Girl. But what's it called at
the end of the day supportive, and she's hot, and
she has a career and she goes to school and
she's not as loving as you would probably like her
to be. But in general, I just think like, in
terms of having a wife, the wife and wife WU
(02:25:19):
isn't just a merely like subjective like sorry, a sexual
or objective like peace to it.
Speaker 8 (02:25:26):
It's actually you were going I thought you were gonna
pay rio from uh gotcha uhata.
Speaker 7 (02:25:33):
She's cute, But I looked at it objectively. I looked
at this Actually, I looked at this category actually objectively
to your point earlier, because there was no woman that
screamed fucking wayfu to me. So I didn't want to
go with the default pick, as I've done through a
few of these episodes. I didn't go with Takopy just
because it was the easy default. I went with something
that I can objectively kind of point to and kind
(02:25:54):
of give a different spin on. So that's why I chose.
Speaker 3 (02:25:58):
I was like half tempts to put Bejova Garu from
Broken just because of the fucking Moe difference, the Moway
gap from her and the fucking ed like god damn.
Speaker 7 (02:26:10):
I'm not caught up, so I can't.
Speaker 3 (02:26:13):
I'm not talking about like I'm not talking about like
in the story. I'm talking about like how she's shy
and man, everything is my fucking fault. You guys should
just fucking abandon me to like, Oh, she actually seems
confident and she's actually able to like have a good time,
to be self appreciating. Man, that's that's slightly attractive from
the ed when they do this the dance, which is
(02:26:35):
why I'm disappointed.
Speaker 5 (02:26:39):
Not great, all right, mind Naggi from Rocks the Thick,
the Thick wins again her cheeks.
Speaker 7 (02:26:53):
Extra exactly. But I'm not I knew this.
Speaker 14 (02:26:57):
I knew you just wanted for you. When she fucking
wore the made up, No, it was that it was
actually the other outfits. That's undress, the other one undress. Yeah,
it's a bonus. It's a bonus.
Speaker 6 (02:27:12):
But I love that she was still cracking rocks with
the made out I respect that.
Speaker 7 (02:27:21):
All this ship so he would have looked like the
dude from fucking South Park all over his computer.
Speaker 6 (02:27:27):
I'll hike with you know, rocks bus your rocks exactly.
Speaker 8 (02:27:33):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 5 (02:27:36):
But no, beautiful woman, So let's go best HUSBANDO, man,
I think we have the same one. We probably don't.
Speaker 3 (02:27:46):
Oh you didn't put x.
Speaker 7 (02:27:49):
Ship. Wait did you changed that? You haven't announced it?
Do you want to change it? No? No, it was
it was a hammer Leonard from Lord of the Mysteries. Okay,
he was gonna looking man.
Speaker 3 (02:28:11):
Listen that man like doesn't matter. Doesn't matter if you're
trying to kill him, if you're fucking like, oh like,
trying to protect him. He's still gonna just do whatever
the heck he wants, and he's gonna look fucking cool
doing it.
Speaker 6 (02:28:29):
Also real quick x over jin Wu Fuck all of you.
Speaker 7 (02:28:33):
I don't care they standing.
Speaker 2 (02:28:35):
Or by doing nothing for twenty three episodes.
Speaker 6 (02:28:39):
Yeah, well Jim was this autistic riz with bland side characters.
Speaker 3 (02:28:44):
No, no, fuck that.
Speaker 7 (02:28:45):
Fucked autistic wriz. What does that even mean?
Speaker 5 (02:28:49):
From Gunda, that's what that's what, that's what Okon has,
That's what the guy from u Shinji for g quex has.
Speaker 7 (02:28:58):
He's got it. They all got it. Satistic risk.
Speaker 3 (02:29:01):
Autistic ris is when a character is fucking awkward to
the point of and embarrassing but still gets all the bitches.
Speaker 5 (02:29:11):
So no, he's thankful that that that ain't real. Okay, fine,
that was yeah, sorry starting.
Speaker 8 (02:29:29):
So it just basically starting the best best HUSBANDO. I
would say it was Gilbert Blake, like he he really
he really loved that girl his whole life, and even
after rejection after rejection, he stuck it out like just
he he never really gave up hope that one day
(02:29:51):
she would come around to his feelings and bro that
type of that's real love when you got that type
of patience. It's like he just knew everybody knew. But
and and that's that's the thing that it's just like
and like, oh, what's wrong?
Speaker 6 (02:30:02):
You know what happened to you? And Gilbert?
Speaker 7 (02:30:04):
Really this guy?
Speaker 8 (02:30:06):
No, okay here, I was gonna save this. I was
just gonna save this for the top ten. But I'll
go ahead and say it now. It's like her book,
her whole When I when I've realized, oh, this whole
story is her book. Like everybody who read the books
she wrote, said Hey, the guy she ends up with,
why did you pick him? No one likes him and
said yeah, because we like the other guy better. She said,
(02:30:28):
but yeah, he's not dreaming, have some prince. They were
just like, yeah, the other guy's just no, man, the
other guy's real, like he we like him. That was Gilbert,
like in her prince in the book that she wanted
to be her prince. That's like the guy she met
towards the end, like her exactly. Her story that she
wrote became her love life. I love that parallel. But yo, Gilbert,
(02:30:49):
he was he was absolutely like just like yeah, man,
he was. He was meant for her, like definitely definitely
husband enough to see its bendo.
Speaker 6 (02:31:01):
Now I gotta find a picture of him, because I
don't think you gave.
Speaker 7 (02:31:03):
Me one, Guilbert.
Speaker 8 (02:31:06):
I put his name there, You did put his.
Speaker 7 (02:31:08):
Name there, but I didn't get a picture. You know
what's funny when you hear the word Gilbert, that doesn't
sound like a husband, like a real husbando. But when
you say it in French Gilbert, Jilbert Gilbert, it makes sense.
That's bundo. Feel to a different twist on than name.
I found one.
Speaker 5 (02:31:27):
All right, it's gonna it'll have to do. But it's
still my boy Jilbert, and still fright. I'm gonna keep
saying that I don't like him, true.
Speaker 6 (02:31:42):
Right, uh but now best supporting girl.
Speaker 7 (02:31:51):
That really is this speak up from dot thank you, Sean,
did you take the same one?
Speaker 8 (02:32:00):
Chris best supporting girl, supporting girl, oh.
Speaker 7 (02:32:06):
Man, Like, like is it unanimous? Is it unanimous?
Speaker 8 (02:32:12):
Yes, it's unanimous.
Speaker 3 (02:32:14):
Sweaker seven years fucking digging up ship in order to
try and like save her friends with no what was
actually doing?
Speaker 7 (02:32:23):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (02:32:25):
By the way, like, oh my god, she's fucking.
Speaker 6 (02:32:28):
Like so good collecting ship.
Speaker 8 (02:32:31):
Honestly, honestly, I'm not gonna lie. Initially, Initially I had
to think about it because initially I did pick Nimu
from whitch Watch because I felt like, as far as
that show went, even though she wasn't a main character,
whenever she showed up, like I just I like her
being on scene. She kind of carried the plot in
the sense of what went on for the house they
had her. She had her own secret with Wolf. I
(02:32:52):
thought that was cute and I like shipping them together.
Sweaker from a technical standpoint of really support like her
case was made in the last two episodes. Like literally,
her case was made because the only reason things got
as bad as they did was because of her. She
dropped the ball. She was the reason that Alphonse had
to give give herself up. She was the reason that
(02:33:14):
like their enemies that eventually came to shoot them, she
saved their life. And I thought for show that that
person who like she saved at some point was going
to be like, hey, y'all, we can't do this. This
ain't right. I thought they were gonna intervene. No, they
still shot. They still followed their freaking orders. Like sweak
a show, sweak of weaker really like even I don't know, man, Sweaker.
(02:33:40):
She she redeemed herself. I felt like, and I'm glad
she did. I'm glad she had the opportunity to redeem themselves,
and I'm glad they had faith in her and she
was determined to redeem them. So yeah, absolutely, uh Sweaker,
So yeah, sweak special boy and girl and the glow up. Yeah, bro,
that's I'm not going to gold there. We're not We're
(02:34:02):
not doing that. I'm not doing that.
Speaker 7 (02:34:05):
Alright.
Speaker 6 (02:34:05):
Moving on supporting boy Chris Corning.
Speaker 3 (02:34:10):
Boy, I have blusummi from Fragrant Power.
Speaker 2 (02:34:15):
Okay, if I couldn't pick all three of the.
Speaker 3 (02:34:18):
Boys, I had, I picked him because, uh, while in
the beginning he was a more delinquent tight towards the girl,
but as soon as he learned like, oh, hey, uh,
maybe things aren't so black and white as we thought,
and stalks them uh. And then you know, goes and
(02:34:38):
helps them with sheenanigans.
Speaker 4 (02:34:41):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:34:41):
He he proves to be like a comfort for Rentro
like uh, for him to not like worry about everything
so much, and as uh is the one who helps
Rentro like learn that he doesn't have to deal with
any of his issues on his own.
Speaker 7 (02:35:01):
Isn't it not?
Speaker 4 (02:35:03):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (02:35:04):
No, right ahead. I know that I would have picked
personally out of the bunch, but.
Speaker 2 (02:35:11):
Is more awkward and he doesn't know like the right words.
Speaker 6 (02:35:14):
I probably would have picked at or show.
Speaker 3 (02:35:16):
Hey pick I would have loved to pick fucking Ayata
too because of his fucking like the moment he has uh,
but like it is something for me.
Speaker 7 (02:35:27):
Okay, regardless, any of the picts are solid. I didn't
pick any of them. Start all right, Uh do do
do do do?
Speaker 4 (02:35:36):
Do? Do?
Speaker 7 (02:35:37):
Do?
Speaker 4 (02:35:37):
Do?
Speaker 8 (02:35:38):
Best supporting boy is Shankara from Socamo Days. Yeah. Shan
Season one was about Sokamoto. Season two was about Shan
Shan h Shan leveled up when he learned his new soccability.
He timed then he put his life on the line
I think it was when they went off on the
training art, when they went off to go and go
to the school to uh to get it recruited. He
(02:36:01):
showed up. He showed up. He beat everybody, and that
last final fight was I hated that Sakamoda had to
save him on that last fight. I tell you what,
I wanted Shan to pull that fight off and he did.
Speaker 7 (02:36:15):
That would have been nice.
Speaker 8 (02:36:16):
They stole that from him. But he gave it all
he had. He gave it all he had. And Socamodo
came and did with Socamoto does, which is gokudd come
and saved the day. But Shan fought valiantly the entire season.
Sheen showed Shan stepped up. I didn't even notice it
when until he fought the fangirl and he did the
oh you even cracked your shoulder like Socamore. I was like,
(02:36:38):
he does, he really does. So yeah, Man Shan from
Socamoto days, he stepped up season two, he stepped he
carried it.
Speaker 7 (02:36:47):
I agree, mm hmm, Chris. I picked a character that
only you would know because this is a show that
you and I shared. I picked you from Mika Dono's.
Speaker 3 (02:37:02):
He's a good supporting boy.
Speaker 7 (02:37:07):
He's the protagonist, but his sole job is to support
the girl. That's why are you because his literally he
gets adopted to be support. The father is like, I
literally adopted you so you can support my daughters be great.
(02:37:28):
You will do whatever they need in order for them
to succeed. And he does the cooking, the cleaning, the laundry,
the like, emotional like taking care of them and things,
and in the process all three of them do fall
in love with with him because of his supporting nature. You,
(02:37:50):
as you learn in the story, only wants to be loved.
He wants a family. In order to get that family,
he must do the support because he's worthless with everything else.
He's not athletic, he's not really smart. He's not an
actress like his mother was. He's not like he can.
Speaker 2 (02:38:09):
He has flashed, that's all he is. He's got the face.
Speaker 7 (02:38:15):
He's got riz face.
Speaker 3 (02:38:16):
Also, let me add one latmore layer of defense to
why you pick the main character as the support Matt
Takiki there we go? Which funkiki? There we go? I
shut him up.
Speaker 7 (02:38:31):
He's like, it's not him a bit, but yeah, it's
a main character character. No, the main character is job
it's his job. It is literally said in the story
and the plot in the show, your job is to support.
He does everything under the sun in that house. Their
(02:38:52):
only their only jobs are to go to school and
get good grades and to fucking dominate in sports, in acting,
and in chess. That is their soul like and to like,
you know, bathe themselves and all that shit. The most
simplest of tasks. You does everything else. And you see
it early on because when you first gets in the house,
it's a disaster. Dirty dishes, dirty clothes, no coordination, no nothing,
(02:39:18):
it's just a disgusting mansion that they're in. And you
comes in and fucking just is like the perfect maid,
does all the support, and they're all blown away. They're like, wow,
you actually are good at something. You're good at being support,
which is what he's supposed to do. Therefore, supporting boy,
he's the best supporting boy. It's mostly for you know,
(02:39:40):
let go today, have it. This is your one.
Speaker 6 (02:39:49):
Fine, everybody get that, you matten, Yeah, everyone gets one.
Speaker 7 (02:39:57):
I feel like this isn't the first time I picked
the main character for support.
Speaker 5 (02:40:00):
You did Chime Dureu and that was fucking stupid, but
it made sense you're not doing.
Speaker 8 (02:40:05):
That again, supporting like I don't care about support. It
was like, like you don't. You can't have the most
screen time. Your screen time has to be limited to
certain roles of like you gotta make your presence known
because you don't have a lot of screen time.
Speaker 7 (02:40:21):
I mean I would have then picked one of the
fucking one of the flower boys from Freaking Flower because
no one else, no one, I actual, you know what,
I have one other person I would have probably might
have selected, and that's uh, what's his face? The redheaded
guy from Because you made.
Speaker 6 (02:40:38):
A case for best boy with how you described.
Speaker 8 (02:40:41):
Him, That's what I'm saying. That's how I felt. But
you know, I ain't seen the show, but it did
sound like, well, okay.
Speaker 7 (02:40:48):
No, I already made my case for best boy for
someone else, but.
Speaker 8 (02:40:53):
Speak enough.
Speaker 2 (02:40:56):
Who are you gonna pick at your alternate.
Speaker 7 (02:40:59):
Uh crew or whatever? His name is? The redheaded guy
who supports from otherwise?
Speaker 8 (02:41:08):
Next, you're not picking somebody who did one thing in
one episode.
Speaker 7 (02:41:14):
He made an impact with his only screen time?
Speaker 8 (02:41:17):
Bro Bro, Next bro, what what's the next? Cake?
Speaker 7 (02:41:19):
Bro?
Speaker 6 (02:41:20):
I didn't pick yet?
Speaker 7 (02:41:24):
Jumping on the grenade support support narrow damn it.
Speaker 3 (02:41:32):
Oh yeah, that's a good one.
Speaker 7 (02:41:34):
Good cat. Yes, lands off my woman. He will do Yeah,
he's familiar, but he'll do anything he can to help
her out, even means embarrassing her or go, hey, that's
my girl, bitch.
Speaker 8 (02:41:48):
Something about the cat from Silent Wins.
Speaker 3 (02:41:52):
The cat.
Speaker 7 (02:41:54):
A good one. He's a good cat. Good at that one.
Speaker 2 (02:41:59):
You can put that when we have.
Speaker 7 (02:42:04):
You get petted.
Speaker 3 (02:42:07):
Yeah, Matt, you can feel it's Toby's.
Speaker 7 (02:42:10):
I can't. I can't feel the.
Speaker 4 (02:42:11):
To that one.
Speaker 7 (02:42:12):
Yes, okay, this is getting weird with the cat.
Speaker 6 (02:42:16):
All right, best girl, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What what
type of cake is?
Speaker 7 (02:42:26):
The type of cake is? Best girl?
Speaker 4 (02:42:29):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (02:42:30):
Bettenburg cake batan Burg from the UK sponge can't count
together by jam and covered in Mars and pants like
a pink and white inside for the That's great.
Speaker 2 (02:42:45):
This one because of his girls. Fucking and Shirlie. I'm
calling it.
Speaker 3 (02:42:48):
No I did I did last season, so no, mine's
fucking counter Uh, no fucking surprise.
Speaker 7 (02:42:56):
Here I am with Chris. I picked waggery. I gave
it to you, Chris. I gave it to.
Speaker 2 (02:43:06):
From power from you.
Speaker 7 (02:43:09):
Don't want to make any more points.
Speaker 2 (02:43:10):
Chris I've already said way too much, and I don't
want to spoil.
Speaker 7 (02:43:14):
The long story short, waggery is essential to what makes Rentaro's.
Speaker 8 (02:43:22):
She's the main female character, right, That's all I need
to know.
Speaker 7 (02:43:28):
She's the main character, and she does everything to change
Rentaro for the better. And I guess I can't spoil
I can't say anything else was I might spoil it.
Speaker 8 (02:43:36):
So yeah, me and Chris, I chose Suirley because I
did last season. I chose as best girl because.
Speaker 7 (02:43:47):
She rejected the main character.
Speaker 8 (02:43:49):
No, no, because and because and like we saw and
we met and as a child sitting in the field
in fear that she might not be adopted at least
he's admiring the view and burning it in her brain
out of fear that she may not get this view again,
because she doesn't know where she's gonna go. She moves
in with this family, grows with this family, and makes mistakes,
(02:44:11):
makes friends, and she grows. We see her grow from
a child to an adult. We see her through every
facet of life. We see her right become educated, We
see her be herself and make mistakes, inspire those around her,
and everybody around her was better for and being in
their life, like everybody from from Marilda to like the
(02:44:33):
lady who would come over and like she had the
neighbor that she cuts out the first time she met.
It's like you fat, I don't like you. And she's like,
dangn how you gonna talk to me like that? That
shows some respect and she was like nah, you don't
get to Themand you know, she defied all expectations. And
on top of that, she was actually smart and she
stood it for herself. Like Anne was like a roll,
(02:44:55):
Like this was the late eighteen hundreds, Like she had
a lot of balls woman in that time. Like yeah, bro,
Like Anne was really ahead of her time of the
way they wrote her. Like definitely, bro. Anne was best girl. Man.
She deserved it and every and she was even human
because later in this series, when her love life starts
coming in the focus, Oh man, Anne is materialistic, she's problematic,
(02:45:19):
she's egotistical, she's she's not honest with herself. That's when
we start to see her araval. She's not perfect. She
starts she becomes so flawed when the relationships, when everybody
starts falling in love, she becomes so flawed. And it
was like I got annoyed with and and Anne became
so annoying to me towards the end because it was
(02:45:41):
so uncomfortable seeing her not be perfect. And I think
that's what makes you truly like a good person when
you can just well rounded. She was the most well rounded,
well written character. And it was a based on the book,
so they were cheating. But Anne was probably the most
well rounded female character I've seen in a really long
time that I can remember.
Speaker 6 (02:46:02):
I agree, I very picked her last time, but I agree. Yeah,
but uh yeah, I guess we both got margarite too.
Speaker 8 (02:46:16):
Yeah. Three way, three way, Yeah, I got the three Yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:46:21):
Triplets, triplet let's go alrighty, so we got two more awards.
Let's go all right.
Speaker 7 (02:46:30):
There's definitely went above two and two and a half
for our bets, mat.
Speaker 4 (02:46:34):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:46:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:46:36):
We also we also wait for Chris and.
Speaker 7 (02:46:39):
I had. There was a lot of pillow, a lot
of technical difficulties.
Speaker 6 (02:46:43):
Yeah, but it's fine, it's fine. We're here now, we're
getting it out of the way. Let's get the run
cake for best Boy.
Speaker 7 (02:46:51):
M hm.
Speaker 3 (02:46:53):
I am not giving this to Vin. I'm giving this problem.
I'm regards. Uh, it's sort of gonna sound like I'm
fucking hyping this guy up for best husband. But uh,
this man, or this this fucking teenager uh is a
normal ass fucking yankee in Japan has dreams like uh
(02:47:17):
where he meets this one fucking girl like almost two
thousand times uh one, one fucking day, he just like
accidentally drives his bike off a fucking cliff and gets
set to uh an alternate world where he meets this
girl he uh swore he would like protect every time
he saw her in the dream and immediately just does
(02:47:39):
whatever he can. He doesn't care about the new situation.
He just fucking gets involved, and like the way it
ends where he like uh keeps his promise to keep
her safe.
Speaker 2 (02:47:51):
Uh is just really fucking great. I enjoyed this guy
as a character.
Speaker 8 (02:47:59):
Okay, all right, Uh let me see him see, let
me see them, see them see, because this is this
is I want to make sure I didn't give this
this award out to someone else previously.
Speaker 7 (02:48:20):
You can give I can give whatever award you gave
previously the person. That's how you feel, because that's what
I'm doing.
Speaker 8 (02:48:27):
Hmmm, I mean I guess, I guess, I guess, all right,
all right, you know what oh.
Speaker 7 (02:48:33):
You mean previously like last season, I'm sorry that type
of thing.
Speaker 8 (02:48:36):
But no, no, I'm giving this to Okaroon. I'm giving
Okarom best boy because uh Man, Okaroon was like he
was more of the same and he didn't do anything
in particularly special until the Beethoven episode when they had to.
But he was like, nah, I'm gonna level up. I'm
(02:48:58):
he he he literally would like that went from being
like though the evil I kicked my ass, that can't
happen again, Like I have to get stronger, and I'm like, okay, yeah,
here we go. He's gonna he's gonna get stronger in
about two three seasons. No, bro, next episode he monetize style.
He gets stronger, so stronger that he checks the evil
line and be like, hey, bronna fight Like bro, we're
(02:49:21):
gonna fight once a week. He was like, bro, are
the one you can't beat me? No, no, no, you
can't beat me? Like dang bro. He checked him. Everybody
looking around like, bro, this man was the biggest threat.
You went and fought like musicians like came back and
now you like you you. He held everybody down with that.
He took so much weight out of everybody else's shoulder
(02:49:43):
by doing that, And I felt like that at the
long earned him best boy because when they fight, he went,
he went to task, built the ass on on the
evil Lie, evil eyes like Jack ripped and man he
told that man. He told the evil Lie with the
same move, the same move like, bro, I'm a hunch
down and I'm an uppercutch you with both hands, He'll stomach.
(02:50:04):
But when he started kicking on me and he started
flying real far back, like, oh well, you're on a
different level, say man, Okaraona, he love it up. He
love it up, and I'm proud of him.
Speaker 1 (02:50:15):
You fain.
Speaker 7 (02:50:16):
I give it to Kiros. And one more point I
wanted to make in terms of why I give Kiro's
best Boy, besides being the man that fixed the broken girl,
is I wanted to touch a little bit more, I guess,
going more in depth compared to where I'll put it
in my ten, but more in depth in terms of
the racial aspect of it. Kiros again coming from that
Indian like dark skinned, like I guess area of society.
(02:50:39):
He in his mansion employs multitudes of people and all
of them come from different backgrounds, different nationalities. They're different colors,
and everyone in that house is very in unison. They
all understand Kiros is the master, but they all work
together and Kiros doesn't discriminate. Kiros doesn't look at anybody
(02:50:59):
as well with any sort of indifference because of like
their their you know, race, creed, whatever the case may be.
And so I felt that that was also very commendable
in regards to Kiros. But everything in terms of best
Boy just really boils down to what he did to
save Marie and give her that love and affection, care
and fix her trauma and and her PTSD and really
(02:51:22):
show out and really support her and even allows her
to kind of handle the situation with with her family
as well, which I'll get into, uh when I get
into where it is in the thirteen. But Kiros was easy, Hasbondo,
He was easy half of the Best Couple, And to me,
he's the easiest best boy that I could pick this season.
Speaker 5 (02:51:45):
Okay, mine is Rintro from Private Flower Love. This character
went from like this thinking that people are afraid of him.
Speaker 7 (02:51:56):
It turns out there.
Speaker 6 (02:51:57):
Really not estually come out of the show a little
bit slowly but surely, while figured out a feelings open
up to his friends, his mom, his dad, like everyone
that he interacted with.
Speaker 7 (02:52:11):
He grew more with every episode.
Speaker 6 (02:52:14):
So that's why I had a good Mintaro best boy
from the Fragrant Flower. Alright, our final award the Cheesecake
Best Animation, Chris.
Speaker 3 (02:52:31):
Matt But but what mysteries Okay, awesome, fucking so fucking fluid,
and those fucking Chinese guys really know what they're fucking
doing when it comes to animating.
Speaker 7 (02:52:51):
And probably.
Speaker 2 (02:52:54):
Last year for the last year again.
Speaker 4 (02:52:58):
Like.
Speaker 3 (02:53:01):
Everything so good and like the way it moves all
the like the mix.
Speaker 7 (02:53:13):
Yeah good, all that.
Speaker 8 (02:53:18):
Uh starn all right, best animation I gave to New
Panty and Stocking. I gave it New Panting Stocking off
for the strength of it looks like nothing else. It
looks different. It's a different type of anime style. It's
a it's it's it's a blend of like composite real
(02:53:40):
two D anime, three D animation to the animation c
g I props, like like they threw everything get their
stop motion, like they threw all types of animation to
like pull this off. They brightened up and refined everything
from the original Panty and Stocking and just a little
bit of that trigger fun that you just love and enjoy.
(02:54:03):
But it's anybody else who sees it like it probably
won't stack up in any major awards. You know what
I mean by that is like, I don't think any
major contenders as far as like the people may agree
with it, but it means something to me. Pani and
Stocking is very unique in its animation style, and I
think it stands out it's so non traditional. So yeah, man,
(02:54:24):
no Pani and Stocking. Man, I love how I love it.
Speaker 7 (02:54:29):
Even have you guys been noticed I've been playing with
my cat this whole time? Yeah, so you've been You've
been playing for on the air.
Speaker 8 (02:54:36):
Yeah, I've been looking at the camera. But yeah, go ahead,
all right? Did you just yeat the cat?
Speaker 7 (02:54:49):
I just yeted the cat and knocked over about ten
pairs of shoes behind my fucking thing. Best Animation Chris
picked for his visuals Freakin Flowers. I picked it for
best Animal, and I picked it for one particular reason, Sean,
the boys already know this, and you're gonna come to
see this when you watch the show. The animation and
(02:55:09):
the character design in terms of visuals is all fantastic.
Stependus worthy of the Award. I picked it for animation
in particular because what Chris mentioned earlier, if you think
of poor e Mia and shows of the like, whenever
you do see the points of emotion or realization in
terms of the feelings, you're gonna see the explosion of color.
(02:55:31):
So you'll see that piece. And that's one aspect of
the animation that I love. But be in particular, pay
attention to the animation as it relates to their eyes.
I know you're gonna say that facial expression and you
don't get that much in my eurie when I I
don't get it in any case. I animation and the
(02:55:56):
gravity of that as it relates to the scene and
the emotion the scene is trying to invoke is really really,
really really good and is really touching. And that's all
I can really tell you without spoiling anything else.
Speaker 5 (02:56:09):
All Right, all right, mine, this is the only time
it will ever be mentioned on the Awards. No fuck though,
get out of their best animation, get out No City
City and the animation. But despite of the issues with
(02:56:32):
the show, it's animated really fucking well, very expressive, very fluid.
Speaker 7 (02:56:40):
They did. That was that's one of the few things.
Speaker 6 (02:56:43):
That did a great job at so I have to
give it credit where credit is due.
Speaker 7 (02:56:48):
What happened? What?
Speaker 3 (02:56:51):
What happened to the last episode?
Speaker 7 (02:56:53):
We talked about it with them, We talked about it.
We didn't talk about it with them.
Speaker 3 (02:56:57):
So, so imagine you're watching an English stuff right right,
you don't you know the character, you know the voices,
and then like halfway through it just switches to Japanese
and doesn't fucking turn back.
Speaker 8 (02:57:08):
What yeah?
Speaker 7 (02:57:11):
What?
Speaker 6 (02:57:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (02:57:14):
Yeah, So they budgeted for literally half a finale in English.
Speaker 3 (02:57:18):
It's my My reasoning is, uh, Amazon Prime is like, man,
they have a lot of fucking Japanese singing in the
last half of this.
Speaker 7 (02:57:26):
Let's us leave the.
Speaker 3 (02:57:28):
Japanese singing in because who wants to hear fucking English
people sing Japanese songs?
Speaker 7 (02:57:33):
I do songs.
Speaker 8 (02:57:36):
Yeah, so that's not a thing anymore. The Great Pretender.
The Great Pretender opened their anime like that. In the
first season. They opened up with the first episode they
were it was in Japanese and English. You didn't I
thought that was pretty brilliant, And then they then they
jumped into the dub fully, but they were kind of like,
(02:57:56):
oh yeah, well, hold on, we gotta. I thought that
was dope in.
Speaker 7 (02:57:59):
The dub, at least because I did watch it. I
watched it in SUB, and I watched a few episodes
actually of Pretender and Dubb. Even though I prefer the SUB.
I didn't hate the dub and Pretender, but at least
in the dub they all even in the sub, they
alternate the languages depending on where they're at, and it's
very versatile and speaks to like the range a Japanese, English, French.
Speaker 8 (02:58:19):
Yeah, they did that really well. But yeah I didn't.
I didn't see the you know, I gotta check out city.
Speaker 3 (02:58:25):
I guess, yeah, so so so that would have been
fine if they just like just catch the song parts
fucking uh Japanese. But they did it dub the like
speaking breaks in between each song, because it's like a
fucking twelve minute like musical bait where they sing a bit,
(02:58:47):
then talk about what they were just singing about, then
sing a bit more, talk about it, then like over
and over again.
Speaker 7 (02:58:56):
Then how did that make you feel?
Speaker 3 (02:58:57):
Chris oh i ats And then when when the episode ended,
I was like, no fucking way.
Speaker 2 (02:59:05):
They were just like, yeah, I know what final fucking episode.
Who fucking er, We're not gonna actually any like.
Speaker 5 (02:59:14):
I said, if it was the opposite, like if it
was a sub episode with a dub second half, I
would have called the greatest joke I've ever seen.
Speaker 7 (02:59:23):
But I didn't do that yet. I didn't check.
Speaker 2 (02:59:25):
I didn't check this out.
Speaker 3 (02:59:26):
Did they that.
Speaker 5 (02:59:27):
