Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, and we are back, folks. This is the
part two for the attack of Cafe Uh. For those
that have joined us from part one, thank you so much.
We really appreciate it. But until then, but yeah, I'm Matt,
you saw it before even Chris. And then here for
the top ten star Man, the hot you have host?

(00:21):
How are you doing? How are you doing, Sean Roku.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I'm making it man, I'm making it.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
And we got our soundboard back. Finally, this is motherfucker
never fucking sets his ship up. Even if this motherfucker
doesn't watch any anime, he just needs to be on
the show for being a soundboard at minimum bar. That's
the minimum bar set. Wow.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
But it is time to close out winter with our
top ten. As always, we're gonna we're gonna do our
free honorable mentions for those that have them. We're gonna
do it like how we did for the annual. We're
just gonna say our three all at once, hoble mention
that we'll do our ten, one, one and for the rest.
So we're gonna say o free mentions and then we'll

(01:06):
move on. Gentlemen, Are you ready?

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah? I said, are you so?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Seven?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
In attendance and the hundreds listening at home.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Let's get let's go.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Russ, I mean, Sean. You know, Matt and I are
like wrestling geeks, so and we're on a wrestling We're
on two wrestling platforms.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I see. I know.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I'm aware that we lost two people immediately just with
that little intro. We're down to five.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
That's fine, that's fine. They're just getting ready for raw after,
not after. But uh, let's start with our aliblem mentions? Chris,
who are your three honorable mentions?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
One? Two, three? That's it? Not gonna oh?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Okay? Number three?

Speaker 3 (02:02):
All right?

Speaker 4 (02:03):
I was just seeing if I wanted to change some
stuff around, But no, I'm good.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Let the flat come. My number thirteen is Honoko season two.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
My number twelve, I'm just gonna say, I'm all just
so I can get questions on like, what the fuck
is wrong with you?

Speaker 5 (02:17):
They're not in your top ten? What the fuck is
wrong with you?

Speaker 4 (02:20):
My number twelve is ree zero, and my number eleven
is Red Ranger Isakai?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Okay? Why is reasoner number twelve? Chris?

Speaker 5 (02:28):
Because it wasn't a full season.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
I would have much rather it finished last season so
I can put it in on an actual place.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
I mean it was eight and eight.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Yeah, but like, I also have a lot of other
stuff I liked better on this, Like that's fine.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I mean that's then you could have led off with
that and I would have been I don't know, I
can't question that.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Hyah. But what about what about Hanako? Chris? What about Hanaka?

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (02:52):
The reason why I didn't like so much this season
of Honokoh is it took too long between season one
and now, Like we should have gotten this sooner, because
what's next? Are they gonna wait for another fucking four
years before we get to Shinigani Samau?

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Well Part two comes out in July.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Wait, this is twenty four episodes.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, it's a split corp.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Fucking hell.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Okay, at least that's better.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
But uh yeah, outside of that, outside of that, outside.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Of that, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
I listen, I liked some. I just like the other
shows I put on better. That's fair, that is fair.
I will, I will, I will accept that.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
That's always the answer to everything. I like. The other
show is better. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
That's kind of is that's kind of is our reasons
for the most.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Part, effectively for the most part, not always.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Uh, starman, do you have an honorable mentor or just
top ten?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I have just the top ten, Bro, I have anything
that will be an honorable mention is shows that dropped
to just get not the complete, which.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Is, let's let's fill the segment up. What did you did?
You drop it? You didn't find it easy to complete,
so I could be like, what the fuck? What the fuck?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Man?

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Okay, that is interesting? Okay. Uh. One of my first
drops is I'm getting married to a girl I hated
my class. I made it six episodes, saying before I
completely lost interest this season. I did not pick up
My Happy Marriage Season two Honeylemon Soda. I gave it
to Grand Old three episodes and was like, ax kill it,

(04:26):
Medica cowar is in previous to My Charms as cool
as I thought that one was so far. After about
five episodes, I was like, you know what, bro, I'm good. Okay,
Amiku MD Doctor Detective. I got all the way up
into people who were spontaneously combusting, so I was like,
is this the best you got? I'm done, I'm good,
moved on to the next show. Let me see. Never

(04:50):
picked up Metal least even though I thought I would
Ubel Black, I got up to like nine episodes. I
really just ran out of time. I didn't even finish
out or not because I dropped it, just because I
just didn't really finished that one yet. I gave I
am living with an Otaco meat. I gave that when
the Grand Old Three dropped it, it did not make

(05:11):
the cuts. What else? I am always I am falling
in love with you. I gave that about five episodes
before I was like, you know what, I am wasting
my fucking time. Bro, life is too short. Let me
see what else?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Drop catalog. You drop more ship than Chris Ever does
over a year.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
When I tell you like these wrongs, was just like, hey, bro,
y'all wasting all my fucking time? Like that's that? Those
are all my drops? Bro, that was all my drops.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Somebody like saying like, yo, you gotta try this caviar,
or you gotta try this like sushi or this whiskey,
and you try and you're like, Bro, I wish I
could throw it up and not feel bad.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Hey, hey, bro, Apothecaries is a dual core. I'm honestly
gonna my plans to silently pick that one up. If
it was only twelve episodes, but when they said it
was twenty four, I was like, you know what, I'm
gonna just be in season one once that's finished being
dub and then I'll probably just jump on season two later.
Because contrary to probably belief, I do not hate the show.
I'm not sold on the hype, but I do. I

(06:14):
will always defend that show as being anything far than
just you know, like it's not yes, it's yeah, It's
not bad, you know, by any means. My biggest disappointment
of the season was I have a crush at work
not getting license to any major district because that was
the one I felt like I really wanted to watch.
But when I tried to watch a third party, it's

(06:34):
just all the ads and sometimes the website loaded sometimes
I had to reflesh, and when I clicked, I was
just like, bro, this shit is too much work. I
didn't want to watch it on one of my smart
devices with ad blockers and shit. I was like, I
just want to watch it on my sound song and
just pull it right up. But when it started to
feel like work just trying to get an episode to
pull up, I was like, bro, I'm gonna just have
to wait. Hopefully girls band cry. I know how y'all

(06:55):
felt when that shit, y'all had to do that for that,
but being on ConTroll, pick it up. So I'm hoping
somebody picks it up. Not the season, it's like over with.
It totally seemed like a show how Dive would pick up,
but for whatever reason, how Dive then didn't Dive on it,
and I don't understand why that didn't happen. It's like, Bro,
y'all've had super etchy shit, but I haven't seen it yet.

(07:16):
But anyway, that's everything that I've tacked up, dropped and
just did not make the cut.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Defen, what do you got?

Speaker 2 (07:28):
So?

Speaker 3 (07:28):
I would say, Sean, so you have you have a
nine or ten? If ten, bro, So then you're eleven.
Your one first all mention it should be the show
that you didn't finished, that you didn't drop.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
But there is nothing, Bro. I literally named everything that
I named that I dropped. Everything else is why.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Would he Why would he give it credit if he
dropped it?

Speaker 3 (07:47):
No? No, no, no, he said there was one. It's not
that I dropped it, but I just didn't have time
to finish it. He got nine episodes, in I forget
the name.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Of it I did. I did be Blot and Hanekoh,
both of them. I got like eight nine episodes in
and I got three left, and it's like I ran
out of clock.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
That's fine, So you can put on a mention two
on a wood mentioned one because you ain't drop them.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
I'm not bro because then I wouldn't have a top
ten bro Honikoh is number ten spoilers?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Well you had a number, you had an eleven. In
my opinion, look this semantics. That's fine.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
If I don't finish, you can't get a final grade.
If you don't complete the test, you getting to zero.
I don't do that. I don't do that. I made
nine out of ten episodes. So I'm gonna get you
a rating if I finish you, because you could have
bombed the last four episodes and then I'm sitting like
older first eight.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
You if you take a test, if you take a ten,
if you take a ten test, if you take a
ten question test and you answer seven out of the
ten questions and the seven answers are right, you got
a seventy. You're still passed. Yeah, final three.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yeah, But that ain't how I roll my show Man.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
You know, all right, that's it semantics, all right? Number
thirteen For me, I've got anyway I'm falling in love
with you. I liked the show, and then it was like, Okay,
when the fuck are we gonna get to anyway I'm
falling in love with you? I was to me. I
lived off the drama. Then the drama became too much.
Then it was like, all right, when are we gonna

(09:05):
get to Kissickie as an adult? This motherfucker's dead. And
then when it dawned on me in the finale that
Sewan don't care since he not finishing picking it up,
and when you get to the finale, you see him
as an adult in the finale for the first time,
and the tone of the show has always been one
of regret and sadness and like wondering ten years later,
and it really dawned on me that this show wastes

(09:27):
your time because of the fact that at the end
of the fucking day, none of the guys get the girl.
Either they don't want to break up the friendship, they're
too pussy to admit their feelings that they don't have
the gall to go after her as an adult, or
it's in Kiziki's case, maybe they broke up with her
after the fact. So you told me, you showed me

(09:48):
thirteen episodes of his drama and with the parallels, which
I did enjoy the parallels between ten years and then backwards.
You're wasting my fucking time because nobody gets the girl.
It's what it seems am I doing. Not to mention.
The other thing I didn't like about I'm Falling in
Love with You is the fact that even though this
is supposed to be a COVID piece, they don't focus
enough on COVID. And I can understand to a degree

(10:10):
if you don't want to focus on that because of
how traumatizing it may be for some and the sad
realities of living in a pandemic like we all have,
and over I don't know how many millions of people
died because of the issue. If you don't want if
you want to gloss over it, I understand that to
a degree. But at the same time, then don't make
it around that time period because you're not being historically
accurate to what things were like in Japan. You're being very,
very very loose with how things were And I really

(10:32):
that was a little like crawl, like itch in my
ass like that. They didn't do it that way so
rapidly fell down. Number thirteen. Number twelve blew me bureau.
I thought it was just fine. I enjoyed it a
little bit more than Kenshin, which is not on my list,
and that was really it as a historical piece. It's okay,
mid right, so flat three for anyway I'm falling in

(10:55):
love with you, just because I enjoyed the beginning and
then fell off three point five for me Bureau. And
then number eleven is my happy Marriage. I can respect
Sean's point of if you didn't, you know, finish the test,
you shouldn't get the test graded. But my happy marriage
was solidly in my top ten prior to them fumbling
at the fucking goal line. I enjoyed the first eleven episodes,
and so it gets credit from that perspective. The final

(11:16):
two episodes, lord knows one, we'll see them. It is
what it is, Yeah, all right, very good.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Number thirteen for me is zem Shoe. Despite my complaints
about it, there are still some step of stuff I enjoyed,
still adamated nice. Just the problem with map and originals.
They're more or less a hit and miss. I'm kind
of hoping that's not gonna be the case for Lazarus
like we were with Buigiri. Now this again the fact

(11:45):
that I just called it and it's like, what the
fuck are we doing? And wasn't like the best way
to do it, but it was also kind of the
safest way to do it, so it got It's passable.
It's just I just seemed better. So that standpoint number
twelve to Conri Hotel, I liked it a lot, But
what'd you call it? For what I said the earlier cases,

(12:08):
we're just very bland, meh. I just didn't pick up
until Ostoto came in the picture, and I did love
that final arc, but just the first half was enough
to make it go up more the way I would
have liked it too. And then the last honorable mention
Doctor Stone Science Future. Nothing necessarily wrong with it, it's

(12:29):
just more of I'd like everything else better. But I
am still looking forward to how they're gonna do it,
because from the manga it's it's meh with the rest,
like this is probably the last good thing, but I'm
still gonna be able minded. They'll probably want to do
it differently for an anime wise, so we'll find out
for that. So that's why those are my three for

(12:51):
arnorable mentions. Anyway, let us get to our ten. So
number ten, Chris.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
I'm giving this to Sole Leveling season two.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
All right, completely backwards because the rest of it's gonna
be all like shows that's not shows none of us watch.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
Uh no, this this good amount of shows that you
guys watched, just like a lot that you don't.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Yeah, uh like.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Because I'm just gonna go right out and say it,
Shangle of season two is not in my list at
all because of how little they were. It's not they
weren't in in the game as much, it's just that
they kept like deviating from oh hey, crazy fun adventures
and this awesomeme to oh mech fights, uh stupid a

(13:43):
fighting game that that's still not over yet. I want
to get back to the fucking Katarnate in that. But
despite that, uh.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
Soil Leveling did a really good job this season.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
They kicked up the animation quality, the fights were miles better,
and they really fixed Genwu's character compared to the Manwa
uh in the Manoa, he's a cold, doesn't give a
fuck about other people. Only cares about himself and his family.
He will use whoever he can. Uh, he needs to
uh this one in the anime. He's actually a decent

(14:18):
human being compared to you know what he could have been.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
And yeah, I appreciated that.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
The Koreans are like, we'll never forget the Japanese.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
They say, it's the Japanese. Japanese get fucked over though,
so it left.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Yeah, it's fine, they'll they'll find they deserved it pretty much.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
For you, Hank, Yeah, Haniko was number ten honestly just
because I didn't finish it, and it's just kind of
it was a certain point so I was like, didn't
we covered it since season one? Why does it feel
like I've seen this before? It just felt like deja
vu at a certain first few episodes, and around when
we got around like episode six to seven, it was like, Okay,
we're getting it. So I forgot Okay, we got these

(15:01):
wonders in the school. Now we're exploring these wonders. Animation
was consistent, act and was consistent, characters were consistent, and
we got to find out more about Honko's past, which
I was cool. So I was disappointed that you know,
I kind of just didn't dive into it and finished
it like I normally would have. Yeah, that's the only
reason it came in at ten to me. Honestly, it's

(15:23):
by technicality, but yeah, I enjoyed it.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
If you finished it, would you do figure gradum that
would improve or it just depends.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
On how it go depends on how it goes. It
ended as a seven out of ten or a three
point five out of five. For me, I'd say it's
a three point five out of five, seven out of ten,
so not bad. Just you know what I'm saying it.
It pretty much just met all my expectations. It didn't
exceed them, but it did meet all my expectations.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Okay, are you finish?

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Yeah? If I were a Greade my happy marriage, I
didn't say that in my eleven I would have given
it right now right now. As of right now, it's
a three point gotta be like a I actually I
lit three point five because I'm putting number ten is
guild receptionist for me. That's like flat three point five
GIL reception has start off really hot for me. I
enjoyed again, As I had mentioned in the awards, I
enjoyed we get Kawai Alena, who doesn't want to work

(16:13):
overtime and as op as fuck just doing whatever she
can to avoid overtime while simultaneously uh saving the head
of the Best Guild from death every single episode. But
the issue is that she saves them every single episode.
I have there was maybe what the second fight, like
Chris and I had discussed last week, where there was
some peril and as soon as they got away relatively

(16:35):
unscathed and she like overpowered to fucking win, it was
like what can be her? There were no real stakes
that made me feel like, oh shit, like that they
may lose. We see plenty of overpowered characters in anime,
and the main difference between the overpowered characters that are
amazing versus the ones that are just okay is the
trials and tribulations that got them to being Opie. Alena

(16:56):
just literally woke up and was OPI. There's no background
in terms of how she got her powers, nothing of
the sort. We understand she went through a childhood trauma,
but we don't see how that affected her after the fact,
other than her moments of like of longing for her friend.
Did that galvanize like her inner abilities to be able to,
you know, become this opie character. There was no build up.

(17:17):
It's just she's ope, it's awesome, and then that gets
old and so to me, by the end, Guild Receptionist
was very bland and fell old. So my the fact
that it's my ten really a because my happy marriage
didn't finish and be just the first half I thought
was strong.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Enough to be fair. We did get the information the power.
She made a stupid wish on the giant crystal in
the middle, but uh.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
I don't heard back.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
When was that that was like before they went to
fight the twin? Really yeah, But the reason why like
her friend's death was so important for her as a
character is that she originally wanted to be a adventurer
just like him. But when he died, She's like, Okay,
this is stupid. I'm going to just lose people I

(18:04):
care about if they all die on me. I'm going
to be a guilt receptionist, so I don't have to
face the dangerous and I don't have to care about people.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
Okay, So that second part I get. I don't recall
her getting the power through wishing on a fucking stone.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
It was it was like, I think it was after
her first day of work and there was so much
stupid overtime. She made a waste like, please please give
me a weight so I can stop the stupid overtime.
They're so fucking much. And then Chris is like, we
got to BAM and gave her a giant ass.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Hammer, which is pretty fucking badass. I don't recall that
at all, but I believe you. I'm not gonna say
you're wrong. Chris to me, I didn't didn't translate.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Number ten for me is hanna okun Uh. There's stuff
I definitely enjoyed, but I think it's more I like
the last arc better. The lack of the broadcast club
was kind of disappointed. I did want to live in
more of them lowas ticassah. But yeah, outside of the
stuff involved in the Wonders like one and four, the

(19:05):
rest was just kind of a subpar. But I'm definitely
looking forward to part two. I think we'll get more,
more and everything, and we're gonna find about the Groom
Reaper for number six. I can't wait for that, but
I'm excited for that at least. But I still enjoyed it.
I was like stuff a little bit more, but it's
a little bit so yeah. Number nine, all right, Number nine, Chris.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
My number nine is Easter season two. As I mentioned
before in my act describing it for my best action, Uh,
it's a bunch of really good fights with interesting characters
in their concepts. One of them is a homunculus who's
just a fucking mech.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
I'm loving Chris, I'm loving your struggle right now. It's
entertaining this conversation.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
Uh uh but yeah, yeah, the world is interesting, the
fights are good to watch, and it's all done in
this concept of we gotta find the true hero who
can take credit for who killed the true Demon King,
because someone apparently already did that and they're just trying

(20:18):
to figure.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Out who's the one who did it, and since no
one is coming forward, there having a tournament next season
to figure out who did it.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Okay, Sarah, all right, Number nine. For me, this is
probably like my first rear review of one that I finished.
Number nine was Retired Assassin Dad Bosses way through Guys
and stop Soccamodo days. I appreciate I.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Don't call that enemy name at all. And then you
said the money.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean Soccamoto Days was cool. Bro,
Soccamoto Days was a solid three point five out of five.
It was a seven.

Speaker 8 (20:53):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
It was it was nothing amazing. It didn't live up
to the hYP After I actually watched it, I was like, Bro,
I would much rather watch him. I would much rather
watch an anime of who he was before he met
his wife. It's kind of like similar to Ethan's feelings
about I guess for Ronie Kinshan. It's like, Bro, I

(21:14):
can't see you placing. I can't see you. Kenshin was
better than this because it had better characters overall, but
it's the same fucking show. It's the same fucking show,
except Samurai is way more interesting than the hit Man
that don't kill You know what I'm saying. It's it's yeah, Bro,
It's it's kind of like Kinshan without all the cool shit.
Like it was. It was funny. It was meant to

(21:36):
be funny in the comedic sense, but none of the
comedy was like bust out laughing funny. It was just
you just knew it was supposed to be funny. I
think it peeked around the episode when uh the rick
I was about used to our work? When when when
an old buddy with the bird came through and sniped
and saved. Yeah, when East Kate came through and saved though, Buddy,

(21:57):
you know I thought that I was fire. Other than that, man, bro,
I ain't gonna lie to you. Well, I love the
fact that it felt like an early two thousands of anime.
That's what really just like made it shine to me.
But man, it's not mortal days was it was? It
was just feeling the time. Man. It did not live
up to the hype. So three point five out of
five for me, I.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Think it's a good encapsulation for some of these early shows.
As we get on, we're not gonna feel that way.
But for many of the shows that are like in
like the lower echelon of our list, it really does
feel like it's just filled time. Like we watched it
because you know, we have interest in animal, not because
the shows themselves were any talking that fantastic, which I
guess that's a downer from that perspective. In any case,

(22:36):
Number nine for me, I didn't feel that this one
was a time filler. From me. Nine on aren't time fillers.
Uh So Number nine for me, I gave it the
flower and Ace I'm much more high on this than
matt is. Don't think it's gonna appear on your list?

Speaker 1 (22:47):
Isn't which fun?

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Flower and Asra, Oh no, it doesn't appear on your list. Okay,
well it appears on mine. I you know, I always
tell people anything that can emotionally touch me will always
be high, higher than it should be. Flower and Aster
on the very first episode definitely emotionally touched me. I
was definitely like in AWE, and I enjoyed all those
scenes where they basically were like transported to another universe

(23:13):
through the aritation, the oration I should say, the oration
of of our main character, whose name I'm forgetting, But
in any case, the way that they trans they transport
the viewer to that, and they give you the scenes
that accompany many of the passages, money many, I think,
the majority of which are like actually quite dark. I
enjoyed that very much. The inflections and the way that

(23:35):
like they read not only just the fucking the recitals,
but also the announcing, like you can really hear the inflection.
It's a different type, like if you really pay attention.
I guess maybe it hits me more because I listened
to Japanese programming outside of anime, and I am studying
Japanese to a degree, like to hear those inflections, I
think really was really interesting from that perspective. The musical

(23:56):
composition that accompanied those transportations two different like dementia when
they're speaking, I thought was also really well done. It
really accompanied and really set the tone in which the
scene was trying to deliver, and I thought it did
that really quite well. And I didn't necessarily appreciate the

(24:17):
final two episodes to Matt's point that he had made,
but I didn't hate them either. And I think I
hope we get a season two because they had set
that up pretty decently as we move on and to
see what's further ahead for Flower and Ascera, and I
can't wait to see as again, assuming we get a
season two. How those recitals, how they end up becoming
more and more powerful as the characters go through their

(24:39):
situations and find themselves. I think one of the negatives
of the show though, is the fact that for as
much as they gave us in terms of the artistry,
the plot itself was very lacking because there's still so
many unanswered questions that they didn't really touch on. From
that perspective, so it does feel very incomplete. This is
a show I think that definitely does require a season two,
but I gave it a three point seventy five.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
I'm gonna do probably my only well. We definitely do
a bit of a clip around. I'm actually gonna move
on to go up by eight to number eight. Now
my number ten is gonna be shine Weer Law for
some of the stuff that Chris says, what's more of
I like season one better. I'm excited for season three

(25:21):
as they like that the second half of it, which
just build it up to season three without really any payoff,
like with the with the underwater or the video game tournament,
like I just did all that just too Okay, it's
gonna be all next season, So you gotta wait maybe
a year or or longer. But number nine is Sakamoto.

(25:44):
I have fun. I'm looking forward to July. Is it
the best? No, then I guess matter some entertainment.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
I like the characters. It's pretty cool. It's kind of
you get what you expected. It's just a safe anime.
Maybe we'll get more with part two with the Man
and all that we'll see. So yeah, number nine is
talking about it. I'm not so Chris number eight for you.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
My number eight is one hundred girlfriends who really really
really really really really love you. Really it was a
great really uh uh the show is funny. The show
had the show had its really uh the etchy moments
and like the only reason why it's not higher up
is because the filter wasn't there.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
But like, uh, the filter being growth number.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Twelve, stop a number twelve?

Speaker 3 (26:44):
I know who is his girlfriend number twelve?

Speaker 5 (26:47):
You'll see.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I wanted what is her? What is her trade?

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Is?

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Do I like? Is a spoilable?

Speaker 1 (26:54):
It is?

Speaker 5 (26:54):
It's very spoilable.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
You can message in our group chat. I'm so definitely like, bro,
is this like this?

Speaker 4 (27:03):
The reason why I call her the filter is because
she's gonna cause probably like a good chunk of the
fans on your girlfriends already has you who don't know
about it to just immediately drop the show.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Oh my two seasons so I can't go even if
I hate this bit, but.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Yeah, the show was really good and I enjoyed it.
Uh uh yeah, that's all filter filter needs to be.
It should have been in season twelve, but season two,
but we're gonna have to wait for season.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Oh boy, hold dear, oh my.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
All right, number seven, all right, number eight, oh, number eight,
so excuse me, all right, number eight. It's an anime
where the vibes are chill, but the punch is hit,
emotional and literal. I'm talking about Zenshoe.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Joe.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Zenshoe was probably the best animated show, like if one
of that I've seen this season. Then she had the
tail of perishing. It really made me really want to
watch that show. And when I got to the end,
I realized how dark it was. One thing I liked
about it is like I said, I like the animation.
I like I liked each and every character, and I
liked how how not to me? I like how the

(28:21):
fight came where our main character she has to go
through and change this story and everything just keeps evolving,
and it keeps evolving. It's like, bro, you cannot escape
this ending. You created this end, so you can't stop
this ending. And in the end, she was just she
was asleep on her desk, you know what I'm saying.

(28:42):
It's like, when you get to the end, it spoiled.
There was no she died. It was like, no, like
you you went into this so you could learn the lesson.
It felt real. You know, you just got sick from
that food you ate and you kind of passed out,
but you know you weren't dead, but everything just felt
so real. I don't need a season two. I felt like,

(29:04):
what could have been better with the show? I think
some of the introductions that they that they showed us
in the original Terror Perishing. I think some of the
things that were altered, like like dang, I wanted to
see it going in a different direction, but it was
like with the voice, I don't know. It's kind of
like the show at a certain point became predictable because

(29:25):
you knew how it was going to go. You just
wanted to know how it was going to get there.
But it was a stack against some good, heavy competition.
Like I said, I don't need a season two, but
I really do it. Since You, Since You was better
than a lot of shows that I watched this season.
It was by far one of the most interesting ones,
Like that was one of the few shows every week
the week, the week the week, I felt like I
was the only person to join it watching it. But again,

(29:47):
it's just it's a seven out of ten. It met
every expectation. It didn't necessarily exceed any They didn't go
above and beyond in a particular eras to kind of
like magnify the show. But the show was cool, man,
Like I said it was. People asked me between that
and s Socca model, I'm gonna say, why it isn't
you me is.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Doctor Stone Season four, Part one? Doctor Stone, I thought
did a really good job this season. Literally for the
first time. I think it took the reality of being
in an apocalyptic world with science to like deathly to
having deathly consequences. Literally, Senku gets shot. If it isn't
for Senku being a genius, our main character is dead.

(30:28):
The Stone world is no more basically, and everybody will
fall under doctor Zeno for better or worse. I like
the plot twist at the end where they abducted basically
both of them and had like a live like hostage
like situation between the two and negotiating how this new
world is basically going to shape, and I thought that
was really cool from that perspective. The science itself was

(30:50):
really awesome. Like I said, you're introducing twenty in my
I wrote this in my review when you introduced twenty
first century warfare in a world that doesn't have any
more war and it is the thirty first century. I
think there's a unique like parallel like like I don't know,
some sort of like a unique sense that I can't

(31:10):
like describe to that that I was enjoying, that I
enjoyed very much. From that perspective, the show does what
it normally does for the most part pretty well. You know,
animation is still the same, musical composition is the same,
the characters are the same. The new characters I thought
were mostly fairly interesting from that perspective, and it did
his job. I guess, to quote Sean, you know, it
met all my expectations. To me, it exceeded a couple

(31:32):
but didn't, you know, drop anything else. So I thought
it was really solid. I gave it a solid I
gave it a four flat four this season number.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
So let's do number seven.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
Chris, My number seven is tyed it not with the
Amy sisters. I believe you dropped this last season.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Starman.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
I never, I never, I never honestly got past the
first episode. I can't eat I never, I never dived
in it.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
Okay, all right, Well, back when season one was happening,
it was pretty slow. Nothing much was going on, just
introduction shit, main character, getting to know the three sisters
of the Magami Shrine. Part two, however, is when things
really kick up with the Supernatural Ship. We have time travel,

(32:23):
we have body body swapping, we have stupid fucking endless
eight shenanigans, and then we have a basic travel to
a different, a parallel dimension thanks to Yonder, a childhood friend.
It really picks up and starts to show you what

(32:46):
you're gonna get in store with with this show, and
I enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Number seven, number seven for me is going to be
a super U can't catch a break. Ray zero Man,
Ray zero is my number seven, mostly due to the
reason Chris stated, Bro, they did not give me a
full season. In many ways, I feel like you can't.
You can be unconventional. But as I told Ethan earlier,

(33:14):
without throughout the season, that the things that made me
love Ray Zero, which was super constantly being put to
the test, him constantly being killed, him having to die
and reset and come back and just be like, Okay,
just last time, this shit didn't work. None of that
shit fucking happened. He never dies, he he comes in.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
It's like four times in the first few episodes.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Bro, I'm just saying man like, like your episode one
was the best episode in the entire fucking season, the
entire season. The first up it peaked, it peaked immediately,
It peaked immediately, and then it's zeenius. It came in hot,
and then from that it just went on the stead
of decline of like, bro, like, aside from rain rain Ard,

(34:01):
I don't give a fuck about nobody else. I thought
every other fight was stupid. I thought all the other
like characters that would jump down. Bro, I don't give
a fuck about like, Okay, they gave a million bigger tips,
all right, cool, but she liberates these wives, all right,
fucking cool. Rainard just kept saving the fucking day. I

(34:22):
was just like, Bro, it's just he just is he
the main character now, bro? Because I feel like he
just came in save, saved they ass, went in for
his grandmama, saved his dad's sass, and then his dad.
Then I couldn't stand his dads. Dad was a whole bitch,
His granddaddy was a fucking whole ass motherfuckercuse you're trying
to get my bad, my bad granddad.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
This is great going.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I just it's just like Rainard like super wet, where
are you at?

Speaker 3 (34:47):
Super Like?

Speaker 2 (34:48):
I just it was like bro. And then old girl
playing this this ukulelely like shout it. I don't care
about you. I don't like none of y'all. Like the
only people I care about it was a cat girl
who almost got killed that jumped on Garfield because she
really likes Garfield. And I like Garfield. I like the
beautiful tiger man. I like like he he sooke, like

(35:10):
his episodes, his fight was fire like. I really like Garfield.
But aside from him, bro, everybody else, I'm like, bro,
all y'all seven like I had, I wanted to pose
a question to the group. I was just like, yo,
what is the best incarnation of the seven Deadly Sins?
You've seen an anime? And it disappoints me to this
day that is still full Metal Alchemists. It's like, none

(35:30):
of y'all seven Deadly Sins had an anime name up
to seven Deadly Sins and not really they just dropped
the ball at the end. But even with Ray zero,
they did not like they had these seven Deadly Sins
that they're going through and it's like, bro, what I
don't know, I just felt like it peaked in after that.
It was like they just forced me to care about
these characters that I really just didn't care about, and

(35:53):
right now I just kept saving the freaking day. Then
at the end we get this whole memory gone, Like, Bro,
give round backup memories? Can we can like we're getting
away from the important stuff? Can we get back to
the stuff we like? But nah, Bro, it's raight zero
disappointed me and then they only game then they gave
me eight episodes. I'm like, Bro, I couldn't brother.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
I disagree with it. I first off, you were absolutely
fucking hilarious in that delivery, So a plus for your delivery.
That was hilarious. I just disagree with all of it,
but go number seven, number seven For me, it was
honey lemon soda. At the end of the day, Like
I said, I felt there were some parts that were
a little bit cringe from that perspective. I was on
board with Matt when we had this discussion about midway

(36:34):
through the season, where where was the line where you
had useless Uka and you had like, you know, where
does Uka find herself? Where does she find like her ovaries?
Where do they kick in right, Where where does she
become like fucking like top bitch? Like where is that line?
Because a lot of times with Kai, right, it was

(36:54):
like we get the principle of Kai being the protector.
It's a wonderful asset, Like I said, that's why I
gave him the husband on the award. But to the
same degree, at what point do you stunt someone's potential
to grow if all you're doing is doing too much,
nurturing too much, protecting too much protection from that perspective, right,
so it's like where does that line? Where does it cross?
And then soon after we had that discussion, Matt is

(37:16):
when we started seeing Uka really blow up, really develop
really fite and face these like these traumas that she
had over the course of her past life and really
started leaning into Kai, not just from that protection standpoint,
but wanting to protect him, wanting to really be associated

(37:37):
with the girls, really wanting to step away from her
overprotective father who created this entire situation. In a roundabout way,
from the jump, I really appreciated that. As I talked
about earlier the Skip and Loaf for vibes, I love
Skip and Loafer. This definitely gave me the skip and
loaf for vibes. I enjoyed the character design from that perspective,
the differentiation between the very blase and very mid you know,

(38:00):
happy fucking smart girls from the school that she was
supposed to go to versus the stylish one with all
the quote unquote delinquents even though it's just an average
high school. But did they frame them as delinquents? So
I appreciated it from that perspective. The pastel colors I
think were very bright. The op was sensation on my
OPA the of the season. The ed was really good

(38:20):
as well, one of the top ed's of the season.
I enjoyed this show a lot more than I anticipated.
It's why I gave it my surprise of the season.
So I enjoyed this very much. I don't think I
need a season two, but to the same degree, I
think it does lose points because you do, in a
way need the season two because of the fact that
we have those unanswered questions, specifically around Kai's best friend.

(38:42):
They alluded to it in episode ten when the bully
was like, oh, especially you, you're the worst guy of
them all. I would love to know why she said that.
I would love to know why Kai is working a
part time job because he never reveals that he has
his personal motivations for doing what he does. And I'd
love to see the reverse effect right where Uka's the
one that's starting to break Kai down, and we see

(39:02):
Kai in an emotionally disadvantageous position, and how does he
overcome those trials and tribulations? How does he rely on Uka?
How do you, as a vulnerable man, rely on the
woman that you're in a relationship. Do you push her
away and self sabotage and jeopardize everything that you've built
up in season one? Or do you use that person
to help give you that uplifting moment or moments to

(39:23):
be able to help you persevere like Uka did with Kai.
So there is still more to be had. So if
they gave me a season two, I would be all
for it one billion percent. But with this end in
season one, I thought it was really well done, Chris.
To your point that we mentioned earlier outside of the
show that we didn't get a chance to watch because
we had the pirate it, this is the only show
that actually gave you an actual couple, and the way

(39:44):
that it culminated in the end was really well done.
So a solid four point twenty five out of me
for Honeylemon, though I went a little bit long, but
the more I thought about it, the more I really
really enjoyed it.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Number seven for me, there was only six episodes, but
they were enough to keep me intrigued. That is link
click breeding arc for number seven. Uh, the first episode
was an hour and a half. It's set everything up
for lu Gwan, get Chang's powers, what happened to Chang
in that timeline, and the whole first episode was basically

(40:17):
prequel how they met, and then we're gonna find out
what actually happened in breeding again, find out more about
Chang's family, and we got more characters introduced to it.
It's more of a less and more type of format,
like it didn't do so much progression, but I got
more info leaded to season three whenever that comes out,

(40:37):
So I'm always excited for that. I always like, enjoy
the character I jloays, enjoy the lore of its but short,
sweet to the point they click breading art for number.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
Seven breathing breathing like pre r I d o n
be our, I d oh and breed on. Yeah, yeah, okay,
the way that you were anouncing it sounds like you're
saying breeding, like at least a breeding like the King.
And I was like, oh, it's a breathing, our compleetthing

(41:09):
like breathing, like breathe in, breathe out, or breathe.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Yeah, breed on like that, you know what I mean? Uh?

Speaker 4 (41:16):
Yeah, number six, My number six is the greatest, uh,
one of the greatest rejections in all of anime.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
Blue Box it is that Indeed, Uh.

Speaker 5 (41:31):
I really enjoyed Blue Box.

Speaker 7 (41:33):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (41:34):
It would have been higher up uh if it was
you know, left behind and uh uh fall. But the
reason why it's not as high as it could be
is well, besides the fact that there was other stuff
I better, but because it didn't really uh it more
focused on the relationship between Tychy and uh heina uh

(41:58):
instead of focusing on the core relationship between uh.

Speaker 5 (42:03):
Tyche and Chinatsu.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
But it was important at the time for the story,
especially with Tykee's growth in Badminton. H it just wasn't
high hitting enough for me to like make it higher
than it was.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
That's fair almost makes me want to switch mine where
I put it. Almost I'm contemplating now power.

Speaker 8 (42:28):
Mmmm.

Speaker 1 (42:29):
Well, while you're contemplating in the starband.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
All right my number six? Right, yep, yeah, man, it
was about sports. You don't love a quiet longing and yeah,
a slow serve to the hearts. It's blue Box, blue Box.

Speaker 7 (42:44):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
The biggest advantage blue Box had over a lot of
shows is it was two cores. Back to that, so
we got two in four episodes. They did a fantastic job.
They did a fantastic job giving you the sports, making
you care about the badminton, and making that be a
primary focus for a few episodes, and then they'll jump
to the relationship woes, and it shows like one thing

(43:07):
that was a good focus was it shows that Taiki's
main ability to he has to he has to lock in.
He has to like quiet all the noise when it's
time to play, when it's time to go, when it's
time to progress. He really has to block out all
these feelings, all this stuff, all these distractions that are

(43:28):
going on, and he really has to like really dive
into the sports. And he's a freshman in high school
and he's really like really taking it seriously. He's improving,
he's practicing, he's he's doing all the right things. He's
supposed to do. He has a good supporting cast arouna
with the Sympire that he plays with, but he lives

(43:50):
with the girl of his dreams. And one thing I
didn't like was it was just like bruh. He had
no choice, she had no chance. She never had a chance.
He only thought about it because the whole idea of
like the one that likes you, you know what I'm saying.
He thought about it because he felt like he had
to live up to the expectations of her feelings. He
had to rise to vaccasion of her feelings. He never

(44:11):
felt that same way. He just felt like, maybe I'm
not being maybe I'm being dishonest. What did I do
to lead her on to like me like this? Because
I've never done anything? But then it puts that extra
fear of him. Was like, well, damn if she can
feel about this way about me and I still reject
her because of my true feelings, what's gonna happen with
me and Sina sigh? Or whatever? What's gonna happen with us?

(44:36):
She kind of goes back to the basketball thing. What
I really would have appreciated was if there was another
guy that tries to really make a move and he
gets like a misunderstanding. I liked when his sympiths girlfriend's
little sister, I cannot remember her name, but when she
comes back and I really can, I have my time.

(44:58):
I really, I really loved when she can because she
was one of my favorite characters that came into the
season like she came in towards the end. She would
have won my Best Supporting Character of the season because
the way she came in and she really started making
the show feel like a real romance drama. She really
brought that extra like the icing on the cake that

(45:20):
the cake was missing. I felt like she brought that.
Animation was dope. They animation was dope. The Ashton Sigmas
was dope. Sports. They do a great job blending romance
and sports at the same time. So that's why I
gotta give blue blocks blue box.

Speaker 3 (45:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
The only thing I will say is, Matt, I do
gotta give you some crap dot. I don't know why
you picked that pick because I didn't see the episode
yet and I already knew this was the episode she
got her heart broke. As soon as I looked at
the tag, it was her ball in her face out
I said, well, this episode, she gets a heartbreak. I
tried to find something like why did he picked this picture?

(46:01):
Like I was like, oh, she crying, she balling her.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
Oh yeah, I was gonna.

Speaker 1 (46:08):
I had a second.

Speaker 3 (46:11):
But oh my.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
God. But her getting her getting her heart broke like
that was like emotional, Like I really felt that because
she was like really doing that thing, which she was
really like compromising, like yo, I'll do this, I'll be this.
Are you sure you can take your time? Like and
I've been on both sides, you know of that. So
it really just like, yeah, this, this is exactly how

(46:36):
this feels. What I will say is, Bro, I'm solidified, Ethan.
There's nothing you can do to knock me off my square.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
I like I like the EMC from and a Girlfriend
ten times more than Tikey Tykey is that EMC romance
MC cannot get any lare on my list. I do
not like him as an MC if romance MC. He
is just the dullest, Bro. He is down there with
unseasoned chicken.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
He's he's chicken with salt on it. Bro, that's it.
He ain't got no season on him, but he does.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
I'm not taking that feckless fuck over Tikey fuck you.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
So a better character though. He's a better character because
of the simple fact that he honors the feelings of Vault,
because he you know what girl he likes? You know
what girl? He liked the girl. He ain't even shy
by his feelings. He's like, shout it, I like you.
But why before you getting ready to jump or someone
with me. I'm gonna entertain all these girls. I ain't
gonna break nobody heart. We all gonna have a good time.

(47:34):
We're gonna eat your foot. Boy, he's not. Hakey is
dog like everything that you think, Bro, everything you think
he is bro. That's what Taiky is bro. For real,
Hakey is bro. He lives with this girl. Come on, bro,
come on, bro, you have to admit it. But go
ahead and get your time because we can do. I
ain't trying to get hold up.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
You guys both con mentioned the move blue Box from
five to six. Blue Box is my number six. Let's
have about hour, let's go, we gotta go.

Speaker 2 (48:02):
My bad, I took a little too long on that one.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Nah, motherfucker. We got yeah, we're early. Hey. Episode one
was only our thirty seven minutes.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
We got time, I said, my piece, we got time.

Speaker 3 (48:16):
No, I mean, I can't really add much from what
Chris and Shawn said. I really can't. Quina being like
I said, Tina getting a heart broke to me is
damn near as bad as when you we got her
heart broken and Ourgaru. That was still the most traumatizing
heartbreak I've ever seen. This is a pretty close second. Honestly,
it is very guttural from that perspective, and just seeing

(48:39):
how you know, Tikey didn't want the friendship to be
affected any more than what it is. He had to
make that move, and for at least for now, the
friendship is somewhat sullied at this stage. It is very
sad from that perspective, but at least he had the
gall to fucking do it. He didn't want to, but
he's like, I can't leave this girl on because it's
unrequited love. And I forget at what show it was.

(49:01):
I don't remember what show this was, but I remember
distinctly this season specifically, I saw on anime and there
was a quote from that anime, and I think it
is Blue Box. As a matter of fact, it might
be Blue Box, and I don't remember who said it,
but somebody had said in the show unrequited love is
the worst type of love because you will never move on,

(49:22):
you will never find your happiness in that situation. I
don't know whether it's I distinctly heard that this season,
and it really really like it hits because people have
been in that situation where you just love somebody and
you know it won't work out, or you love somebody
and you know it can't work out, or you love
somebody and they don't love you back in the same
manner or as much as as you love them, and

(49:44):
it really does give that like pain in your heart.
And you know, Taiki, even though the show doesn't display this,
I like to think in my head as someone who's
been in that situation, that the message that's trying to
be conveyed is having to try and persevere over that pain,

(50:05):
to try and move on, move forward and move past
it to get what you really want and the journey
along the way, and it's a little bit different. Id
Like I said, they don't go into it because of
the fact Tiki is sixteen. And that's the thing about
about anime romance is you got to keep in mind
who you're dealing with. You we as adults on this
conversation can have these conversations and discussions about you know,

(50:25):
portrayals of what the author's trying to say, or how
we felt about it from personal experience or seeing it,
you know, around us or in other shows. But when
we look at the characters as if we were living
in that world, you have to understand that these are
still teens, and teens don't have that grasp normally that maturity.
Japanese children and teens are very mature compared to the

(50:46):
rest of the world in many facets, but romance generally
isn't one of them. Because even if you are, if
you've had many girlfriends, many successful relationships, many fuck buddies,
you can't to me, I feel like you can't constitute
that as true success because of the fact that love
and feeling situations. Romance is such a moving target for

(51:07):
everybody that even if you find that happiness, there's always
things that change. It is an ever evolving feeling that
you have to just deal with over life, and some
people deal with it well, some people don't, But in
the end of the day, it's always changing. Nothing stays static.
If it stays stagnant. A lot of times it doesn't
work out, so, you know, I think of it from

(51:30):
that perspective. But going back to Blue Box Itself again,
animation some of the best animation. Chris and Shawn make
great points about the sports anime. I'm not a sports
anime person, and the way that they've done sports anime
I thought was really really well. Tiki's growth as a
as a badminton player is something to you know, behold
from that perspective and just seeing him grow, I don't

(51:51):
feel he's unseasoned chicken.

Speaker 7 (51:52):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
He grows, and I'm not saying going back to the
conversation we just had, I don't think it was his face.
Kasma Kasima does not grow. Kasima has grown. Season four, Yeah,
Season four that just aired three well. Season three was
the best season of it. I put it in my
top ten, I made my top twenty five. It was great.

(52:13):
But I don't see Tiki's unseasoned chicken. The boy is
still trying to grow. The boy is still sixteen. The
boy is living with the girl he likes, and he
does a great job and the show does a great
job of not making him out to be a pervert.
There are so many shows that would be like, oh,
like damn, she's changing, let me sniff her fucking underwear,
that like she just finished playing basketball. In that type

(52:34):
of shit, they don't go down that route. He is wholesome,
He is respectful, and he's trying to navigate what it's
like to be living with a girl that you can't touch,
not because you don't want to or any of that,
but because you're being respectful and you want to treat
the process as best as you can, and you want
her to want you because she wants you, not because

(52:55):
of the fact that you live together or.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
Full tops Is that reason why you don't like Hazi
you though, so I just wanted to hear you say it,
because the same reason you praise the Tiki, that's the
same reason you don't like Kasia. It's the exact same behavior.

Speaker 3 (53:09):
No, I don't like Kazia because of the fact that
you should just fuck her. He should just fuck Ruka.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
Why don't you say that about him living with this girl?
Why don't you say he just get it over with
she and Lady Fellow on top of her bed, on
his bed.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
You know that's the play bro Ruka threw herself at
this man. Even like Red.

Speaker 1 (53:30):
It doesn't mean hey, I should I should suck her.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
Heina did practically the same thing, Bro, But he likes
who he likes, and I know I didn't think it's
honest about who he really likes. I didn't take.

Speaker 4 (53:46):
To me.

Speaker 3 (53:46):
It's presented different. There's a tone of the show that's different.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
It's because one is the comedy one is not. But
I'm just simply saying.

Speaker 3 (53:52):
That people are in college, the other ones aren't. You know,
Rukas a senior high school. But she clearly wants it.
I brought condoms. I'm in lingerie. Please put your dick
inside of me. You I want to save my first
time for the person that I love.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
You just can't imagine nobody just being not so thirsty
for pussy that excuse me, thirsty that say it?

Speaker 3 (54:16):
You're right.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
No, I'm just saying, like, it's just like Bro. We
can move on, Bro, because we're gonna beat here.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
This is the longest segment. This is something that's in
the middle. That's my middle in the middle.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
This is no this is content. Are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (54:31):
If I cliped this already gave members of Blue Box.

Speaker 3 (54:37):
A Blue Box just like, yeah, all right, you guys
want to move on because we can keep going.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
But we move I wanted you gonna be here for
until midnight, just talk about blue Box. Yeah, look, it's fine.
Yeah we got we got some Batman Like I wish
we had a little bit more on the basketball side.
So I just oh lost the Nationals. I guess like
you have all their sports, but you're focused more on
the one, like I want to see a little bit

(55:08):
more on the other one in sports aspects. But the
rejection there has like yeah, I lost too, bitch, But
that it was fine. I like the shade of it,
nicely animated. I don't know when will get season two,
but I'm just looking power to it. It's really good.
There's really enough I can add.

Speaker 3 (55:27):
After that happened, I'm really upset that, like what I
said earlier in the last episode, basically I got spoiled
on the on the panel when they when Tyke finally
gets her. I'm so disappointed that I'm spoiled on that
because I would have loved to have seen that as
an anime only watcher and been like, oh my god, squeek.
And now it's a little bit less than I don't
know that the surrounding things. I just know the moment
that'll they won't hit as powerful. So I'm hoping everything

(55:49):
else that comes from.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
All right now, our final five number five.

Speaker 4 (55:53):
Chris my number five Dead Men or their uh I
Love Part one? Part one was fucking grade grade. It
went downhill after they focused on whatever. Her fucking taste.
The like highlight of her art was fucking when Rafel

(56:14):
was when Rafel's ghost was talking ship to uh what's
his name?

Speaker 3 (56:20):
Nova Novak?

Speaker 4 (56:22):
And I didn't even care about the last dude, even
though he's the actual real life person who came up
with the idea of Helia Center.

Speaker 5 (56:31):
Yeah, Helio Centrism.

Speaker 4 (56:32):
Uh it, it sort of fell off, but like it
was still really good and that's why it's just straight
in the middle.

Speaker 2 (56:40):
Okay, interesting, So all right, what was my number five?
I got so caught up in the south. Oh, number
five was solo leveling. Yeah, solo level was my number five. Man,
it was a it was a oh yeah yeah. Previous
two shows were eight out of ten, four out of five, like, yeah,
that was that was white for both of those, like
Ray zero and Blue Box four five out of ten.

(57:03):
Don't get it twisted Solo eleven. Season two was way
better in season one, way better in season one. They copied, uh,
they copied, like the heck out of the homework for
Hunter Hunter. It is what it is. The internet knows it.
We knows it, You knows it. Marcella's knew it. We
all knew it. But that be aside from that. Yeah, man,

(57:28):
I mean it's a good it's it's just it's if
you're action junkie, this is it. If you are an
action junkie, this is it. I wasn't shot when I
found out this show wasn't a big hit in Japan.
In Japan, they're like, oh, yeah, bro, it's just action.
There's really you know, pointing out you know, his his
Jim Wou's character development.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
When the episode happened with his mom, I felt like
the same way those the guys on the internet were reacting,
was just like, okay, yeah, bro, go go kill something.
I really don't care. I really not invested. I had
no emotional connection to his mom. I was like, yeah, bro,
just wake that check up. Move on, bro. I don't care.
I don't care about your sister, I don't care about
your mom. I don't care about you waking her up.

(58:11):
You're doing all this stuff so you can go and
wake her up with was admirable because that's what you
set out to do. I care about your dad. I
want to know what's up with you and your dad.
I want to know, like, what's that? Like, how is
your mom's sleep because your dad was so strong. What's
gonna happen when your dad come back? Like, That's what
I want to know. All the other stuff with all
the other Hunters are cool. Everybody got bodied. I love

(58:32):
the legend of the camera man just being able to
outlive all that crazy stuff happening. He still lived everybody
getting smacked. I love him being just Opie. I love
him being just a straight up OPI and he just
gets stronger, ridiculous. He has no competition. I like the
fact that everybody gets bodied but him, and he's just ope.

(58:54):
That's what I like about it. But there's no character death,
there's no character growth. There is if it is, is minimum,
and it's not enough to care about it. Nobody's in
this cat and nobody in the show is interesting. Nobody
show is memorable. Nothing really matters except him just going
into a dungeon and solo and it's literally it's literal,
the literal show solo level, and it's what you see

(59:15):
is what you get. The title is the show in
a nutshell. But the action was cool. They stepped up
the animation on the last two episodes. That was really dope.
It's the eight out of ten. It exceeded expectations that
season one set. Season two is just like all gas,
no breaks. Yeah, so it came in five for me.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
M hmm, even number five.

Speaker 3 (59:37):
One hundred girl Friends, the absolute comedy the season bar none.
Enjoyed the hell out of it. Again, as I said
in the previous episode, this is a show that in
season one I didn't like. I thought it was just okay.
Season two I thought was way better than season one.
I laughed my asshof, He's once every fucking hilarious, the
etchy great enjoy the ship out of Acchali. Y'all know
me and just Rentarro just continuing be fucking the most

(01:00:00):
amazing guy ever, trying to fucking bend over backwards and
save the universe, and sometimes I think in one episode
he actually does damn near saved the universe quite literally.
Who uh, what's it called? Just for the sake of
his of all of his women, all eleven of them
so far. One of the best things of the season
was when he fucking I forget he hit something and
he ended up hitting God. That was hilarious. I will

(01:00:22):
always remember that scene from the season. But as a
whole though, I just Girlfriends was really, really, really fucking fun,
and I can appreciate the shit out of a palate
cleanser like a hilarious anime, especially every Sunday that it
came out. It was one of the few shows that
I had on a Sunday, and I fucking I can't
say it's a guilty pleasure because it's a really popular show,

(01:00:44):
but you know, I was much pleasured in my mind
to this for a couple of reasons.

Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
Number five for me is also a hundred girlfriends. I
wanted to give a number four, but I'll get number
four in a bit. I think my only real complaint
was with the new girls. I only cared about half
of them. The other ones I really can like take
or leave is Karu me and the last one.

Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
What's her name?

Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Just hiding seeko Yeah maybe yeah, Like I was like,
they really didn't give me anything. To make me want
to give a ship because usually with season one, like
all the all the five six girls, that all had
something to make them stand out. This one, I think
all got that from half of them. With me and
me H, the Massachus and Mado, we had the food

(01:01:38):
in contest, but it was just fine to some something
that was fine.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
I was so glad they didn't go with the route
of like they just perpetually just vomit fucking rainbow. I
was expecting it the entire time, and I'm glad they
didn't get that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
Yeah, some of it was just very over the top,
but there are the lot of ones that were just
funny as Chris Savy. Shehiusica stole the show out of
all the girls with with her progression everything check the
hy drive bets. I always say Karate. She had really
good moments to some of the other girls did. But

(01:02:10):
again just with the new girls, just happen them just
to make me want to do anymore. But so yeah,
that's my number five on your Girlfriends. With that we
have number four.

Speaker 4 (01:02:21):
My number four is the Blue Exorcist, Blue Night Park.
As I said before, best Adaptatient. I love what they did,
such a good portraying the relationship between uh ah Uri
Egging and father sheer motto, and then all the ship

(01:02:42):
that fucking Satan does during his growth to become demon lord,
devil king, whatever you want to uh Rin getting to
learn about his past, get to see his mom for
the first time, get to see how his adopted father acted,
and even when the moments were too much for him

(01:03:05):
and he needed a break, he was able to go
and see uh she and me for a little pick
me up, or to go like just calm down, because
it was the things he learned could be overwhelming for
and they did a really good job putting in uh
starman number four my number.

Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
Let me go back to my list so I can
make sure I'm doing this right, all right? My number
four also an eight out of ten, which most of
these are eight out of ten's. It was dtor Stone
dtor Stone Stone World. They cracked the top five, man,
It honestly almost made like the top two, top three.
It was really hard when I got down to my

(01:03:44):
top four. What I really enjoyed about Doctor Stone season
four is they did that thing where they they pick up,
they fight you, then you become allies and they keep
adding allies like Pokemon, Like, I love that. It's one
of my favorite anime tropes is you beat them then
you know that's some video game stuff. You beat them,
then you add them to your team. I really liked

(01:04:05):
that happened. My favorite thing was they went to American.
First thing they did was ran up on people with guns. Like,
as soon as they got to America, guns was out,
You're getting shot. I really felt like that was an
accurate representation. I also liked the fact that they're going
against US former US military, you know, they're going against NASA,
and then like the team someone World are kids, these

(01:04:28):
are teenagers, These are young adults. These are teenagers. I
like how doctor Zeno and all of those soldiers are like,
wait a minute, these are kids. They're doing all of this,
and it's like, I like how you have to spend
your dispoint.

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
It wasn't the fact that they were just kids, the
fact that they are also people from the current timeline
also like like Chrome.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Yeah, like people like Chrome's like, oh, you guys are
descendants from the last four or five people that were
that you know, the yes inferent space, Like like I
like the that, And then there are other people in trip.
There are other people back home. I like how like
they realized this and they're like, oh man, this is remarkable.
These people are smart, like like Chrohn's inselect is inherited

(01:05:12):
from his from generations and generations of those important like
astrophysicists who were in space. I like how the new
things that they build. I like how it's like, no,
we're getting we're getting you know, land air and see,
we're getting planes, we're getting submarines, we're getting boats, all
of that, like cars, Like they got corn, they got liquor,

(01:05:35):
they got everything that they're building. Doctor Zener is just
like an evil mad scientist. And I like the fact
that Zeno's ultimate that. I like the fact that Zenku's
ultimate enemy it's not only his mentor, but his mentor
is a mad scienceist. It was like, oh, finally a
mad scientist, not a politician like last season, not someone
knows like a barbarian like in the other season season one,

(01:05:59):
and not like season into a Secasta's trying to kill
everybody because his sister sick. He's like, rock can cry
your sister while you on this violent bs you know.
I like the fact that it's actually a mad scientist.
And then they got to America. My favorite thing about
them getting to a Miracles I saw black people and
it's like, oh man, like oh shoot.

Speaker 3 (01:06:16):
Like that's a fair point.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
Like the black people. It's like, oh yeah, well you
got to America and it's like the big girl, she's
black girl, black guy, black black guy, smart engineer, building
and stuff. I'm like, oh, yes, that's because that's it's
like a lot of a lot of anime will fail
you in that area. And I was like, okay, like
that that's why representation is important to me, you know

(01:06:38):
what I'm saying, because I get to see that and
be like, oh man, doctor song, that's accurate. But they
got America and they were just like oh yeah, yo,
you know it's that's what you're gonna see. So I
like that that that guy all up in the mix.
And then you know the little little baddie that they
added to the team that's in a single's new girlfriend
like you know, medical fool flunk guy, but she's she's

(01:06:59):
a baddie. So so I knew Eye Candy. You know,
I can't dispute that it got alcohol. Now, like season three,
it would have been higher if they would have just
finished it if it would have just been back to
back curve, which is what I wanted. But giving me
twelve and dance, say, just what is July? I'm cool
with that.

Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
I love this season. Man, I love this season. So yeah,
Doctor Stone Stone World eight, I ten for me.

Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
Man that I like that number four for me, I
gave it the Trillion Game. I'm really disappointed, really really
really disappointed in our anime group that more people didn't
jump on this. I really enjoyed the hell out of
Trillion Game because to me, it's such a unique premise.
It's a it's kind of like a business animate but
not like at all the way Spice of War for us. Really,

(01:07:47):
this goes through what it's like to like have like
social issues or not fit in society and then doing
something to really change that. And by changing that that
it's becoming literally the world's richest men. And they do
it through it. They do it through AI, they do
it through shrewd negotiation. They go through ruthless business practices,

(01:08:08):
cut throat business practices of what it's like to be
what's it called, uh starved out of business? How to
be attacked and silenced. There's so many different iterations of
the way that you know tech businesses, how they grow.
They go into like the little details of what like
you know, with building a gotcha game and what it

(01:08:28):
really needs to go through a gotcha game. We see
what it's like, especially from the personal side. Right you
get Gaku, who is super socially awkward, what it's like
to kind of persevere through that. You know, he never
really does, but that's just how he is, that's his personality.
We see Haro be a ladies man, slaying girls left
and right, but in the process he uses one of
the key things I think is essential when it comes

(01:08:49):
to really being successful in any sort of business, and
that's networking. Haro is conniving, and he is, you know,
a trickster, but he's also very, very fantastic at networking.
There's so much different iterations and times throughout the season
where his networking literally makes the show where it could
break it. Rinren I gave my supporting character of the season.
She is the glue that holds them together. When you

(01:09:11):
have Gaku that can't speak worth of shit and can't present,
and you have Haru just going off doing the most
reckless shit ever you have Renren. There that's the face
of the company, the CEO, the respectable, somewhat mature one,
and she doesn't know her ass from her elbow, and
she does a fantastic job of being a really decent CEO.
From that perspective, Ketoween was a fantastic addition. His teenage

(01:09:33):
secretary is hilarious the way that he reels her in.
No pervy shit with them either, which is also really fantastic.
Kirahime is a wonderful like gray area character, sometimes a protagonist,
sometimes an antagonist, but I think she represents what good
things in business are. Someone that doesn't look at the
shortfalls and the shortcomings of people, but rather the talent

(01:09:55):
that is, the latent talent or the obvious talent that's
with them. I think that is really key in terms
of really making successful business is being able to really
understand that talent and be able to get the most
out of them by whatever means you can. From that perspective,
are antagonists who I might have given antagonists too if
Novak wasn't so fucking bad? Is what's it called? The

(01:10:18):
guy who runs Dragon Bank? He is nefarious, he is evil,
He doesn't give a fuck about real humanity from that perspective,
because he's so rich and powerful, he just thinks everybody
else is just plebeians compared to him. So I never
liked him. He made a real good antagonist, and in
the answery characters, right, even though there wasn't as much

(01:10:40):
to them for you to truly care, they still gave
you enough for you to be able to kind of
latch onto them and be like, all right, these characters fit,
they serve a purpose. They really help everybody else through
whatever little things that they're doing. It's the tiny little
things that don't make a humongous impact, but I think
add more depth to the show and add more to
the baseline that the show presented. So I'm really disappointed

(01:11:00):
that more people didn't watch A Trillion Game. I think
if you appreciate business, if you appreciate it, especially if
you're in it, I think this is a great anime
for you to watch, and this will be one of
my foreshore recommendations of the season. So number four Trillion Game.

Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
Well, I'm glad you liked it as much.

Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
Is it on your list?

Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
No Ah, Man, it was fine, But you're telling me
that two eighteen year olds can con all these businessmen.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Some people are just stupid, but.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
Alboust, all these you say, all about all these companies though, sure,
so I'm sure, but like Elos everything, even like the
big ones. That's like it's like when you play about
spend a disbelief but you but this is okay. I
get it's it and business, but you can't get one
to pass and then not the other.

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
I don't know. I just it speaks to me since
I'm in that field, so.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
I get it. It's just as I said, I'm glad
you liked this first I just really did not like.

Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
The first half was okay. The second half was much better.
If it had just ended in the first half, I
would have ranked it it probably. If it would have
ended in the first half, I would have ranked it.
I would have ranked in my top three. I hated
fall last season, and it would.

Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
Have been it would have been disappointed, really would have
been damn. It would have been number four. Solo level
And if you're if you're all about all action, no story,
like like a w you'll love Solo elevel. You'll love
Solo leveling.

Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
You fucking guns. That was good. Tell me what I'm
telling Last okay, all right, Punkiny Punker.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
Exactly damn right. The fights are five. I was disappointed
with Jim Woombaru the lead up to it was really
good just to fight itself. It's just very under uh
as everyone else says, you don't really give a shit
about anyone else against Solo level and Solo, but still
like you still put some effort in some of the

(01:12:53):
other characters too. Otherwise, just don't have anybody, Just have
jin Mu go for all these dungeons, but forget every
the human. Just do next to the next time, the
next time, the next time, the next the next time.
That's all this. Let's do that, and that's the case.
Fuck the fuck the rest. That's the issue of it.
But so outside of the story was you know what,
it's it's basic as fuck. It's there's nothing groundbreaking about

(01:13:17):
any of that, because even though they'll tell you, like
Ab says, any Fanda, just disclaim it as cinema, which
it's just calm down, it's good, it's fun. I like
the action, but just calm the fuck out a little,
like they're really death what you find a new Big
Three after any I want to see any good action
without really realizing what made the Big Three the Big

(01:13:40):
free from back then that even they find it like
they just find a little to the latch down two
and they'll hype it up to no ends if you
like it, fine like that, there's a lot to like,
but it's just turn it down just just a little bit.
Well yeah yeah, yeah, but yeah before now number three, Chris.

Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
The number three is.

Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
I really loved this series. It was such a cute
and and like despite like you know, the slow start,
it it did its. It did a good job like
showing the progress of actual change isn't fast like it
is like really difficult for someone uh withdrawn to become

(01:14:29):
more out.

Speaker 3 (01:14:30):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:14:31):
The side characters were great.

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:14:34):
My only like real like question is why was fucking
his best friend such a dick that Uka like in
the be enning Uh. But like besides that, like the opening,
the ending they made the anime was good. The visuals
were fucking spectacular.

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
I just loved every bit of Okay, sorry man number three,
Oh we dounced a top tree? Yeah all right, man?
Uh number three a sleep fi jam that grows Nah, honestly,
let me just skip the fromlogies. Man shang La Frontier
is my number three and then jump the one this

(01:15:10):
season Shango La Frontier. In season two, the animation took
a slight step down. They did, like if you watch
the weather Mon fight, you kind of realized, like, wait
a minute and order for yall to crank out the
animation so consistently, they had lower the bar a little
bit so they could go as fast. So it is understandable.
But they did check out. One thing that I did

(01:15:31):
appreciate on which Shango Lare Frontier is they explored the
other games. They did go to other games they played
with the animation. Every game looked different. Some games had
more CGI, some games for more comic. Bookie like, they
played with different games, and if you look subtly into
the background, I like how the new fighting game that
they're in when you're watching the anime, it just looks

(01:15:53):
like comic, like comics or something. But if you looked
in the background they had like CG, it looks like
taking like it really does like a fighting game. I'm like, oh,
that's pretty cool. I thought it was a very interesting
little detail. I'm not so that that really would have
been America's Team bro. I watched the sports I know,
dang well, America's team want to look like that, But

(01:16:14):
I'm not fun to get on no soapbots and preach
about it because that's just something that happened in the manga.
They drew that. Outside of that, Son Rocku jumping from
game to game, bringing these people in and everything kind
of links back to Shanglelat Frontier, and it just show
us out the mechanics work with the game. You got
two curves back to back. Combining with season two, It's

(01:16:34):
still an eight out of ten. It's still hop on
the list. It's still fun. It was still the most
fun I had every Sunday of any anime I watch.
There was no other anime I watch this season that
was more fun Shangle Off Frontier. Like I always tell people,
like everything that you think Solo Leveling is, you can
get a Shangle Off Frontier. But they don't like the stakes.

(01:16:56):
They said it doesn't have high stakes. I'm just like, well, man,
if you don't like the states of a video game,
because he can come out of it when he wants
too fine. I like the fact that you realize this
entire second season happened in a week. This happened in
a week. This didn't happen for months. This took place
in a week. But we also see how much of
an OP boss sun Rocker is like. He is straight

(01:17:19):
up a OP boss. He can get into any one
of these games and he's really that guy. He's him
no matter where he goes, no matter what he's plays,
sun Rocker was him and I love that. I love
the fact that they just balanced so many different games
they played with the animation. It was consistent in every
other area. He grows, gets new weapons, new skills, and

(01:17:39):
even when they did have the boss fight, it wasn't
as good as the weather Moon fight, but it was
still a dope boss fight. It was more than one
boss fight to compensate. So this time it was quality
over it was quantity over quality. But I'm still not
mad because the sheer amount of quantity that they gave
at a high quality. So eight out of ten for.

Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
Top three, even number three for me is ree mother
fucking zero c fuckingo, no bro. At the end of
the day, I appreciate what you guys are saying, but
I disagree with much of the premise. They gave enough
eight and eight is unconventional. I will, I will, I

(01:18:23):
will concede that eight and eight is unconventional. However, it's
sixteen episodes, and the way that Matt and I grade,
we grade on the entirety of the show, unless you're
waiting like more than a season, right like we're doing
with Doctor Stone. Right, Doctor Stone has won, and then
we got to wait a whole of the season. Then
in the following season, which we can grade the first half,
but with ree zero because we understood that eight and

(01:18:45):
then eight came afterwards. From that perspective, we grade on
the entire thing, and as the entire thing I thoroughly enjoyed.
I did not feel the way that you guys felt
in terms of not being able to care about the characters.
I would agree that there's a lot lesson no like
well Sean in particular, and other people might, I would say,
would be inclined with him because Sean is a reputable

(01:19:06):
source of anime. So therefore I disagree with them. From
that perspective, I will concede that there is less emphasis
on them and less reasons necessarily to care. But there
was never a feeling of devoid care. From that perspective,
I enjoyed everybody's contributions to it for the most part.
You know, I didn't find issue with anything. I enjoyed

(01:19:27):
the battle scenes. I would agree that ree zero is
at its best when it does the shit that it
did in the first three episodes. That shit was absolutely
batshit mental, and then it didn't fucking go back to it.
But I don't mind that this season was. To me,
this season was mostly all gas, no breaks, and despite that,
we still got plot progression, which is one of the

(01:19:48):
things that Ree zero prides itself on more than many
anime in the world today. They give you plot progression
throughout the season where you're able to tie little things.
There's so many mysteries and questions around one zero and
the way that they're able to pull these things out
and make you think of things that you had seen
in the previous seasons or established new questions and thoughts

(01:20:08):
as the season progresses and where the show is gonna
go for those who haven't read the manga or the
light novel, whatever it is, what it does that aspect
I think really well. Character design always fantastic, animation always great,
the musical composition is always stellar. I enjoyed the op
very much. Ed was really good as well. Uh I

(01:20:32):
enjoyed you said you found nothing in Amelia Sean just
she got bigger tits. I disagree. I thought she I
think it was Matt's point, or it might have been Chris,
might have been Matt. But talking about how she grew,
she really like stood out from being able to, like,
you know, stop being on the sidelines like she was
in season two, being like the damsel in distress. Instead
she put motherfuckers in distress. The way she pieced up

(01:20:55):
Regulus was fucking awesome. I understand what you said about
Ryan Hard just fucking Captain Sabajoe just coming in and
fucking saving the day for every time Dick and Harry.
But I appreciate that because Ryan Hart is the most
ope character on the Good Guy Squad and Subaru, even
though he went through everything that he went through at
the beginning, which was obviously what ri Zero's about. But

(01:21:15):
over the course of the season, not that he became
a damsel in the stress, but he started using logic,
and he always uses logic, but he especially used logic
to be able to piece things together and he didn't
have to rely so much on all the other op characters.
He got help from Ryan Hard, yes, Emilia is way
better than him in terms of powers and things of
that nature, but he's not relying on Puck. He's not

(01:21:36):
relying on any of that stuff. He actually was able
to realize his latent potential with the with the authoritious Sloth,
and he used that to more or less seal the
battle for the team by using this power that he
didn't necessarily want. But now he realizes he can use
it in his conventional ways to be able to help
and move past the situations the way that he was

(01:21:56):
as a protagonist. He's always, to me going to be
a good protagonist because the fact that despite his personal
wishes and things of that nature, where he only cares
about Amelia, he only really cares about trying to save
rem He finds himself in situations that he doesn't shy
away from in terms of saving an entire fucking major city,
major metropolis from the wrath and the doom that the

(01:22:18):
sin Authority always brings with them. At the end of
the day, Team Super which is why I gave them
Group of the Year, handled literally half of who's left
from the Authority and either drove them back or defeated
them or captured one in that instance, which I think
is a remarkable achievement considering how op that fuck those
antagonists are. So for everything that zero is it lived

(01:22:41):
up to. From that perspective, I found no fault in
the eight and eighth piece that it did, and it
left me wanting more. And then even at the end
it was it's not necessarily like the greatest end I
would say to a zero season, but the callback to
season one when they're like, who's Julius, Now, who's rem
Now we got the same thing, but now we have
answers to those questions. Now we know why that is. Now,

(01:23:05):
I'd love to go back, and maybe they'll do the
season four well where he relives the battle and he
relives the moment that everybody doesn't know who the fuck
he is, and maybe we can draw more again. When
you start reliving some of these pieces, you're able to
draw more conclusions, piece more things together, come up with
different scenarios and different theories in terms of where you
think the show is going to go. If you're a

(01:23:25):
non non reader, from that perspective, and that's intriguing, it's
very inviting. It's very thought provoking, and a show that
is very thought provoking. As we'll get to one of
my final two, y'all can guess which one it is.
Thought thought provocation I think really is an undersung piece
of animes. Free zero does a decent jiety for sure,

(01:23:46):
amongst the battles and everything else.

Speaker 1 (01:23:48):
Number three for me is also zero. I already wrote
wrote a review on it, did a little bit of
a de dive on that. Check it out there. If
I was great in just the counter attack arc, yeah,
this would be lower. I definitely like the attack arc better,
but as we graingham as together, it's still fine. I

(01:24:09):
just preferred the first half better, but the second half
it is just a little bit more on the one
sided side with the good guys. I guess it's called
counter attack. But I also liked that it wasn't just
a whole clean sweep we had something with Julius. It
wasn't something as bad where Super would have to kill
himself to start that whole thing all over again. That
would have been that would have been annoying, because who

(01:24:29):
knows that if that were that was gonna be the
checkpoint for him. But everyone played the part. Priscilla did
the bard Garfield or you know, gorgeous tiggers were the
fights like where they Spectacua or No, but it it
moved the plot along. That's what it is for this one.
I still like see, I still like I still enjoy

(01:24:49):
ree zero, I still face. Season two is still the
best one of the three four shore. There was a certain,
as Shaw said, like the fan I see aspects beastly
supernatural aspect of it was gone from the second half.
It was more on the first half of what you
know re zero for I guess that I get that.

(01:25:13):
But again, this they do stuff a little different.

Speaker 8 (01:25:16):
Did it do?

Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
Was one hundred percent perfect, though there's so some soca
with the other characters. But I'm still intrigued. I'm curious
how they're going to handle before I think the gluttonies
of the ore next if I recall but no, it's
still enjoyable. It's still an enjoyableme. Butther know, I'm very

(01:25:40):
picky with those, and this is still one that still
peaks my interest. I enjoyed, ijoy all the characters having
something to do. If you don't say care about, there's
still play. They still had a part. It's not just
one person. Even though right Hard did take the credit
for like about half of them with Cordelius will Wilhelm's wife.

(01:26:04):
I'm pretty sure someone else, but it's still enjoyable. At
the end of the day, I like season three just
so yeah. Number three zero.

Speaker 4 (01:26:15):
Uh, that's.

Speaker 1 (01:26:19):
Number two, Chris.

Speaker 4 (01:26:23):
This was gonna be my number one until I literally
just changed it because if I can knock down both zero.

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
What do you mean, just finish it?

Speaker 2 (01:26:33):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:26:34):
No, I swapped it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:35):
I swapped it, watch it, watching it talking like, what
do you mean?

Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:26:41):
No, h.

Speaker 4 (01:26:42):
If I can knock down ree zero for not being
a full season, I can't in good faith have don
Machi season five in despite how much I fucking love it,
it's still pretty hard, still pretty high because part one
and part two were really fucking good, and I wish
it was just one season, but uh, the fucking war

(01:27:02):
Games Park for the working part of season five were
was fucking phenomenal.

Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
Phenomenal.

Speaker 4 (01:27:10):
Uh yeah, and I I can't complain besides the fact
that it wasn't a full season. I'm glad that, like
it's finished and I'm not gonna have to wait till
fucking July.

Speaker 5 (01:27:22):
But uh, I get it. They needed to make sure
that they did this arc quight well they did.

Speaker 1 (01:27:30):
So that actually as you number two, yep, it was
my number.

Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
One, but it got knocked down just now one because
you sound.

Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
A little far.

Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
Uh go ahead, all right, well that's the cue.

Speaker 3 (01:27:47):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
Number two for me is gonna be or movements of
Earth or movements to Earth like I said, uh previously,
the first few episodes is like I enjoyed part one
way more in part two. I got the part two
and it was kind of like, Okay, I really wanted
No ought to have a worse, more worse death than
he got. I felt like he still got off too good.

(01:28:09):
I mean, but then again you can't say about somebody
burning the death and hallucinating. But still I didn't like
how that art was just like yo, everybody who comes
in contact with this stuff dies, So I didn't like
it when it's like I MC like Elaina dies, like
everybody dies, and it was just like yo, like I'm
getting like it's too traumatic because it's like yo, there

(01:28:30):
are no heroes, like everybody is just they serve their
purpose and they just passed this knowledge along. And I
think that's really about it. What's really dope, even the
preacher who even the bishop who's like yeah, man, like
we want to make some money. It's like nope, gone,
like everybody goes. And then when we get to the
last couple of episodes, it gave us the actual true

(01:28:51):
character that was you know, that's linked to actually Helio
centrism on which it makes you think because one thing
they never do is even though they don't get into Helio,
they get into Hello Centrism. It's just like, okay, so
this after the seventeen hundred, it's like, exactly when is
this do y'all still believe the Earth is flat? Like
they never really get in it because it sounds like, okay,

(01:29:11):
so y'all except the earth. The Earth isn't flat. Y'all
just still believes the center of the universe. So y'all
flat earthers. Like they didn't address that, and I kind
of felt like I need y'all to address whether not
y'all still believe the Earth is flat or this thing
is round regardless. The visuals, oh my god, backgrounds, visuals,
the stars, they killed it every single time. The constellations,
they put so much work into each and everyone. Every

(01:29:34):
time they showed it. The tension. This was a drama
of all dramas. Everything I liked or hated about a
Vilain Saga season two, they it was I swear it
was taken from the same vein. It was like, yo,
it's the same It was cut from the same cloth.
It was cut from the same cloth. And that's one
thing I really appreciated about ORB so Or was definitely

(01:29:55):
the gem must see under the radar sleeper of official
sleeper of the entire winter season was Or. Like you
were missing out if you didn't catch that show. It
captivated me every every episode. Thank you Matt for suggesting
it and you know, telling me to check it out.
It was probably one of the best recommendations you've ever given.

(01:30:16):
You get some good recommendations, by the way, so that
says a lot. I enjoyed it.

Speaker 5 (01:30:25):
You're welcome back.

Speaker 1 (01:30:27):
Thank you, Chris.

Speaker 3 (01:30:28):
This was This was my number one until y'all dogged
it a little bit. But two things. At the end
of the day, I think the best quote that y'all
said about this anime is if you like all gas,
no breaks, pure action, nothing more.

Speaker 2 (01:30:45):
Me me hi hi.

Speaker 3 (01:30:47):
That's me yeah, me hi. Number two. Solo leveling. Number
two is solo leveling. It's amazing I'm a simpleton. You
want that's me. I want the amazing action, I want
the gore, I want the fucking incredibly animated fights. I

(01:31:09):
loved it. I love the fuck at a soul leveling
agreed it is miles better than season one, and season
one was really, really good. I didn't feel that way
in terms of, like I think it Starter said. I
didn't feel like, oh, I don't care about his mom.
We got the payoff early on, and I was very curious.
I was like, damn, we got the payoff midway through
the season, like where are we going from here? And
then we got him just continuing to be a badass.

(01:31:31):
You know, I get what you guys are saying in
terms of like, oh, well, there's not a hell of
a lot of progression. And to Chris's point, the way
that they originally had him in the Manwa is he's
just a dick, and he's not like that now in
the Japanese version, which is fine. I like that. I
appreciate it. I'm sure I would have hated it more
if he was just a fucking asshole to everybody except this,
But I enjoy Jinmu for what it is. There are questions, though,

(01:31:54):
that we won't get answered anytime soon. I wonder if
they will go back to that plot point because one
of the foreshadowing moments they have I think it's towards
the end of season one is the more powerful you get,
the more disassociative you become, the more jaded you become
to situations, And so there is aspects to that with
his colder demeanor now that he's grown powerful. But I

(01:32:17):
think they strike a fine balance between him being kind
of jaded and like whatever, and just him knowing that
he's a badass and he can figure it out, versus
having that humanity wanting to do what he can, not
just for his own personal glory or just to level up,
but because he knows the situation that he's in. I
appreciate that very much. I don't care that they ripped
off fucking Hunter x Hunter. I thought they did it

(01:32:39):
better than Hunter x Hunter. In my opinion, this was
fucking amazing. Like I said, I can't keep saying how
amazing solo leveling is. It is tremendous. I'm trying to
think of what else I can really say that you
guys haven't already covered. I'm just going over the points
that I kind of disagree with and just reiterating why
I'm a simpleton and I enjoy fucking insane action with
gore and death and fucking awesome fights and dope, fucking

(01:33:03):
ope characters. That's me Hi me yeah, number two solo leveling,
And I think what really sold it besides you guys
bashing before I move on is if I can talk
about thought provocation with ree zero, then I can't good
conscious not put that. What was my number two not
number one? You can guess what it is when we
get to it. I'm pretty obvious, but we'll get to that.

Speaker 4 (01:33:24):
In the other fighting world words Camara art, that Kamara
Hunter is the best art.

Speaker 3 (01:33:32):
Miriam dies just like Oh, I like the blind girl
let me just die with her.

Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
Number two medalist. It is such a I can't me
and Chris can think as praise is enough. I love
the music. They use the CD really well, with the
figure skating with the music in the background, whether it's
like a cheerful or just this medicine with the Hikari.
I like the characters. It makes you want to root

(01:33:59):
for these little likes to go. Who likes to go?
Underdog story? When done right this is exactly what uh,
nice dynamics, good characters writing, and they do not hold
back on the drama when they come and it talks
about tiger skin itself, like, hey, if you don't start
when you're when you're five, good luck, good luck matter

(01:34:19):
into anyone else. So they don't shy away from them.

Speaker 3 (01:34:23):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (01:34:23):
Hey, people do start late, and sometimes they get brushed
off and they're basically get saying, hey, fuck you, we're
better than this and we're gonna show it. And I'm
really happy we're getting this season. This is one that
definitely needs it, very happily. See a Nori bro. I
like it. I do like It's not just it's all
first place. She got her first metal with silver qualify

(01:34:47):
for Prey Limb. She's going to the Al Japan. So
I'm really happy for our vis is nicely done. So yeah, Medalists,
when is the season two coming out? We have no
date yet.

Speaker 3 (01:35:02):
Okay, I'm going to commit to two things right now
on this show before we move on to our number ones. Okay. One,
I will watch Medalists before season two so I can
join you right.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
Two I thought, I'm sorry, no, man, keep going, keep going.

Speaker 3 (01:35:17):
Oh two I made a decision based off this vein
of wanting to see medalists of four season two. I
have two shows that I'm not picking up obviously because
they're not licensed. So I have room for one more,
or at least one more. And what I say I had,
I had exactly thirteen.

Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:35:32):
I will join you by spring finale on Windbreaker, Okay, roh,
I will join you by the end of By the
end of the spring season on wind Breaker, I will
binge at some point. Look, and that is my target
to be able to conscientiously talk to you, If not
the finale, the spring finale, definitely by the awards, I

(01:35:53):
will be able to hopefully talk to you about wind Breakers. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:35:57):
And finally our number one Chris Medalist.

Speaker 3 (01:36:02):
There we go. Wait, don't take it. Don't take it yet, Chris. Sorry.

Speaker 4 (01:36:08):
Uh, I really love fucking Medalists. From everything Matt just
said earlier, uh, it was a really fucking good show.
And uh Idori was such a good character. Sukassa was
a good character. Hell, there were a lot of good characters,
all had their own aspirations, their goal you know.

Speaker 5 (01:36:27):
Uh, it's just like a despite like from you know,
comparing it to like blue box.

Speaker 4 (01:36:33):
Like the characters were the side characters were more fushed
out aside from like you know, p know because she
loved but like at the moment, we don't have like
much for all the all the characters. Yeah, as among reader,
I know more about them, but uh, it was nice
to just see them, you know, get pushed out and
the way they moved with their with the animation.

Speaker 5 (01:36:55):
But pretty good to see.

Speaker 3 (01:36:58):
Good mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (01:37:01):
Number one, my number one off the season. It was
the only anime I gave a nine out of ten
or four point five out of five too, And that
was one hundred girlfriends that really really really really really
really really really love you Like that was it. That
was this was the cream of the crop. Season two
was I enjoyed season one, but season two. Season two

(01:37:23):
was like nothing got stale. Nothing got stale. They kept
bringing in new girls in the way the the way
the previous girlfriends interacted and carried the new girls, even
when the new girls may have not been as interesting
or made a big impact, the way that there was

(01:37:45):
always something with the previous girlfriend that was never covered,
that was linked like like me me no, like she
she lost she lost a beauty competition to one of
the previous girlfriends. It's it's just like even when we
got Ma may On, which I don't know how you
got a mem and the mamee with not us getting confused,

(01:38:05):
but Ninja Girls, Ninja Girl comes in and and like
I thought, it was cute, like she makes these dogs,
she disappears. I like, I love all the all the
anime references, all the dragon ball Zy references that they
did super saying the baseball art was baseball game was cool,
like the hair episode was like insane, like the Yonder

(01:38:31):
it not be Yonder but sooner episode like soon, the
Rays from the Sun Man. Every episode was just hilarious.
There was not an episode that went by that I
didn't like, laugh my butt off and just like, oh man,
this is hilarious, Like it was just it was insane,
it was funny, it was etchy, it was it was romantic.

(01:38:51):
When Tara, I would have absolutely given him best boy.
I would have given his bando. He was miles ahead
of everybody else. I enjoyed season two. I cannot wait
for season three.

Speaker 3 (01:39:06):
All right, Matt, before I get to what I presume
is both of our number ones, I didn't give ratings
for so Blue Box, I gave a four point two
five out of five one hundred girlfriends, five point five,
chillion game five point five zero five, solo leveling five,
and Matt number one was also a five. We have

(01:39:27):
the same number one right, perfect? Yeah to what is
gonna be the freeing of this year? The most not
like I shouldn't say freedom was very talked about, but
or again to Strong's point, not talked about enough to
a show that was stellar from start to finish, that

(01:39:51):
gave us everything that we would have hoped for with
no expectations coming in, exceeded everything we could have possibly
dreamed of. Uh to number one, ORB, I offer salude, cheers,
Mazeltov gone by a good capstone to this season, Ladies
and gentlemen. Good shit.

Speaker 1 (01:40:14):
I could do a deep dive in a sec, because
I know you want to talk about it a little
bit before I do.

Speaker 3 (01:40:18):
No, I would, I honestly kind of want to hear
your deep dive. The only thing I'll say before I
turn over to you, Matt, to close it out is
that when I again talk talk about thought provocation, ORB
is a premier example of thought provocation, the actual, legitimate
historical context in which they delivered this was stellar. Everything

(01:40:43):
Sean had mentioned in terms of visualizations and animation and
musical composition, stellar Novak one of the best antagonists that
we've seen in such a long time. The fact that
it doesn't end in a happy ending in essence makes
this good, makes this really really stand out. There is
no happy endings with history. Much of history is maligned

(01:41:05):
with depression, darkness, persecution, torture, unfounded guilt, sacrifice, and all
of that is capstoned and in come encapsulated quite stunningly
great in orb Like I said early on, when I

(01:41:26):
picked it up, I picked it up five episodes in,
and by the time I got to episode six or seven,
I was like, this is easily easily in Anime of
the Year contender. And we still had another twenty fifteen
something episodes to go, and they didn't let off, and
it was tremendous. The last episode in particular was a
little bit, I will say a little bit of a letdown.
But when you read about who that character is, to

(01:41:48):
Chris's point that he made earlier, when you read about
who that character is and you understand the background, if
you go through legitimate history and you understand how close
they are to the truth and the way that they
really close it out when it's all said and done.
Tremendous mac take us away.

Speaker 1 (01:42:06):
Okay, As I said, I also wrote about this. Like
I said, it's more than just the geocentrism or verse
healers centricism. There's really no right or wrong for them
because it's it's the human perspective of how they see
them and then how they see themselves. Like Novak believes
he was the one that was in the right, even

(01:42:27):
though the yeah, he probably thought he was in the wrong.
Like there's there was really no hero villain. It's just
how you looked at it. It's what you believed in.
And for people back then, it wasn't more it it
just it's the human nature. People's first for knowledge and
other way and do anything they can to either for

(01:42:47):
some to stop it or some to acquire more. And
when we had the last episode with that rap out,
it's like a who knows that could have been him
if he didn't commit alive, if you in on alive himself,
he could have been that turnout of that way. And
when people still see him as a hero, then probably
not so. I like how it's all that. It's more

(01:43:09):
it's about the character studies of it, of how people are,
human nature, human emotions, all of that in there with
the study of things, okay, with the heroism, geocentrism, and
it's it's just a nice piece of it's it's visually beautiful.
The means of composition for it. It was nice, like

(01:43:31):
it was breathtaking just to see like like that it
makes you want to go outside to like look at
the stars that you don't want to point out those
constellations or if.

Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
It what's new perspective, like if you ever go camping,
or you're ever in a desolate place and you look
up at the night sky, if you think of this anime,
it adds a new introspective like thought to your like
already like beaming view that you're seeing to your point.

Speaker 1 (01:43:55):
Like I've been doing it before the show, but it
makes you appreciate it sure a bit more. As I said,
whether it's constellations or seeing planets, different types of the moon,
it's just beautiful to see, like it's just you and
the night sky. So I liked that part of it
as well, Like yeah, you know what characters have died

(01:44:17):
whether it's the greater good or not the dracta stuff,
you know what I could have taken or leaven it.
It was still even that was in the of the guy.
Still I kind of wish it was more about Schmidt
than Draka, but I also understand why with how she
was seeing things. And though it was just all really

(01:44:37):
fun stuff. Even the second half wasn't as powerful as
the first. I was still invested and how and how
they were going to handle it, and the dialogue of
it was another thing that's old. It just how they talked,
how they believe it. It's like, what doesn't mean to
have free will? Like the fact that you're asking, the
fact that you're asking about it, so just you know,

(01:45:00):
people telling you like you're you're thinking of it, You're
you're thinking it makes want people want to think because
we're not going to stray away from this. It's God
or nothing else. Yeah, that can go for so long.
Like so now look at now people have different ideologies
of what they believe in, Like do you need religion

(01:45:21):
to be a good person or not. That's debatable, depends
on the person you are talking to. It's all perspective
of who you talk to. That's why it's never a
right or wrong, and they captivated that. So all that
stuff is why orb is number one. I loved it,
Gray Jot the Madhouse.

Speaker 3 (01:45:43):
One point, you know, I didn't mind Draca was the
least interesting part. However, in hindsight thinking about it over
these last few minutes with Draca, because both Chris and
Sean took exception to it as well to a degree,
I think in thinking about Draka, I think the only
saving grace for that particular piece of the arc is
the fact that I think it's supposed to highlight the

(01:46:03):
ancillary effects of helio centrism. How it's not only affecting
our main characters that are solely involved in it. This
is a third party who ended up getting roped into
heliocentrism and was negatively affected by the times, the persecution,
and all of the negative connotations that came with that ideology.

(01:46:24):
And so I think that's what it highlighted. As well
as with Get It Wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
I said, She's not bad, it's just more of if
I had to write the characters like with there up. Yeah,
her be in the bottom. I do like that her uncle,
even though he's a bitch of shit, like there's no God.
Like maybe he believes in the Karate, it's the Bible,
who knows, like, but he's still believed, like there was
no God.

Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
Rafa set it all up, but to be honest, like
her burning that book and remember, I feel like she
was a more interesting character in Rafa Rafa just he
set it up, like he said, the whole thing in Ocean.
And my favorite thing about him was the gangster the
way that he went out. He was just like, look, bro,
you ain't gonna burn me alive on the state. Bro,

(01:47:08):
I'm from the old I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:47:09):
Not getting hurt. I don't want.

Speaker 3 (01:47:12):
It's more powerful because he's thirteen and he's making this no.

Speaker 2 (01:47:16):
Vision, bro, no me, this young girl way the odds
of I need to get some money, you know what
I'm She could have got out, she could have ran.
She didn't have to burn the book. She could have
just left them game the book, and she could have
went on with her life and figured something out. She
was just like, I'm gonna take a chance.

Speaker 3 (01:47:38):
I'm opportunity. It's just a powerful statement, but one.

Speaker 2 (01:47:43):
Too because she wentn't grown, she was just a teenager too.
I felt like my favorite thing about raffle was the
way that he went out. He went out like on
some gangster like, bro, I'm finna just od, I'm out, bro,
I'm gonna take these poppy seeds. I'm gonna drink this liquor.
I'm done hed he hear, he od. So he overdosed
on heroin and died and I was like, Oh, that's

(01:48:03):
a crazy way to go out. But it be getting
burned alive. Oh girl. She did all that made it
to the end. It escaped out of that church, got stabbed,
bled to death, dying looking up at the sky that
she hated, never got to say nothing like it was

(01:48:24):
just the way everything got robbed from her. But she contributed.
If it wasn't for her, this whole thing, when it
never went went to the next level, it's because of
her that this thing got a chance to live on
and went because of the sacrifice she made.

Speaker 1 (01:48:37):
Yeah they, yeah they. Albert probably would have heard those
people talking about on the movements of the Earth.

Speaker 3 (01:48:44):
It's incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:48:45):
And I will say, if I have to rank her,
I will honestly say, bro she I think she was
one of the stronger characters of the season.

Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
With nobody beats Nobody still beats Aucassy, But I think
there's so many levels and layers you can go with
or but especially like again, for example, talking to Matt personally,
I know Matt's not a very religious character. I'm more
into religion, which doesn't say a lot, but I really
am into more I would say the maps more so.
But there are different avenues you can go with that
just on the religious basis agreed. For example, when we

(01:49:18):
talk about what's your Face, we talked about the greed.
She was only focused on the money. The priest was like,
I see the money, and now talks about the corruption
that is legitimate in that time frame and still is
legitimate in today's.

Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
Her art had like the best action of the whole series,
those nights that were just wiping everybody out and they
got the explosions. The first episode that get introduced through
a bomb blew everybody out with a grenade and then
went slashing.

Speaker 3 (01:49:44):
You'll lend the suicide bomb in front of her Daddy.

Speaker 2 (01:49:47):
Bro She had the low key, She had the best art.
I ain't gonna lie. That's why. That's why the last
couple of episodes felt like man because it was just
like bro y'all literally just done with the best artist.

Speaker 3 (01:49:57):
It's just that it's set.

Speaker 2 (01:49:59):
But I just personally I felt like her, you're not.

Speaker 1 (01:50:02):
Wrong in that.

Speaker 3 (01:50:03):
To me, I had to save my own grades because
I felt the same way you did. By as soon
as the episode was over, I swear to god, I
spent two and a half hours on Wikipedia while trying
to fall asleep, reading about everything that went on in
that time period and elsewhere. So I understood I did
it beforehand, So I spoiled myself more or less how
it was. But it wasn't a spoiler because this is

(01:50:24):
for the most part told in a fictitious way, involving
a legitimate, baseline historical event. So I read that, and
it's just it's so fascinating, bro. And that's again the
fact that I think this might be the most educational
conversation we've had on a particular anime, especially a finale,
especially a number one.

Speaker 2 (01:50:45):
We haven't discussed anything like scientific about it. It's like, bro,
we got twenty first century technology. Bro, like everything that
they learned or but I learned in first grade, Like,
come on, nothing. I just think it's just the drama.

Speaker 3 (01:50:58):
This is the show that that Traversus just anime, and
again shows that do that, shows that traverse anime, not
just into pop culture, but when you go into historical
contexts and you go into the way that those are
presented and the different avenues you can go through that.
I think that's what makes the show amazing. I would
lark in it in a far and it's a far

(01:51:20):
different show, but to the same effect that we're having
this conversation people that conversed about Showgun, I don't know.
It was totally in fictitious fashion, based on legitimate historical events,
and it was very eye opening in terms of how
the progression of Japan as a whole came through during
that time period and how it moved from that from
that avenue. So the again, thought provocation is gonna be

(01:51:43):
my morale of this at the end of at the
end of the at the end of this particular seasonal
episode finale, thought provocation has won over a vast majority
of the audience in which view the show and matters
it really fucking matters outside of anime tits outside of
fucking gore and death and action. That thought that thought

(01:52:04):
provoke you and illicit reaction and positive discourse is a
god send or didn't do that.

Speaker 2 (01:52:12):
To me though, so I can't relate to you in
that notion or didn't do that to me.

Speaker 3 (01:52:15):
It's just that's fair.

Speaker 2 (01:52:17):
I mean, it was animated me. It didn't. It wasn't
thought provoking. It was just like, bro, y'all ain't explaining
me not and I didn't learn in first grade.

Speaker 3 (01:52:25):
Yeah, well, but we don't take granted provoking. It's like
granted bro, Like I again to keep on going if you.

Speaker 2 (01:52:34):
Think keep on going, because I know Mat said we
got to get out of here, but no, you.

Speaker 3 (01:52:37):
Still got one more thing after the fact, we still
got another segment. I just want to say, like, think
of humanity. I thought about this literally yesterday. People, we
got it, you know, Oh my god. I want to
keep going, son of a bitch. Alright, we can do
it off the air. Well, by the time we got
off the air, we gotta do our top five reel
and then y'all want to go to bed. I don't

(01:52:58):
got to go to bed. Y'all got y'all want to
go to bed? Sehn sick? Chris is just chilling with
his cat, and you want to go to bed.

Speaker 1 (01:53:03):
Matt.

Speaker 3 (01:53:03):
I'm sure you're tired, So yeah, it is what it is.
Go ahead and take us home, Papa.

Speaker 1 (01:53:09):
All right, Uh, let's say we have spring next week.
Spring is in the air.

Speaker 3 (01:53:18):
You're greens in Florida, Buddy, Spring is here.

Speaker 1 (01:53:20):

because you got everything.

Speaker 3 (01:53:25):
