some deep divy stuff here, because this is overkilling fifteen minutes.
So let's just pick right off, right right right when
we last left off. In nineteen sixty five, his wife
Frredosia gave birth to Ludmina, and in nineteen sixty nine

she gave birth to Yuri Chikatilo then became a correspondent
student at Rostov University in nineteen sixty four, and by then,
I mean we're jumping over the timelines here. In nineteen
sixty four, though, Chikatilla became a correspondent student at Rostov
University studying Russian literature and philosophy in nineteen seventy. He

actually obtained degrees in both. Shortly before getting his degrees, though,
he got a job managing regional sports activities. After a year,
he took a teaching job, teaching Russian language and literature
at at Vocational School Number thirty two in Novo Shakatinskintins

sexually assaulted and beat another teenage girl whom he had

nor for the occasions which fellow teachers observed Chickatillo fondling

was impotent. In response to the increasing number of complaints
lodged against him, though, the director summoned him to a
formal meeting and told him to resign or be fired.
Chickatillo discreetly left to get a job as a teacher
in another school in the same town, though in January

nineteen seventy four he lost this job as a result
of staff cutbacks. In September of seventy eight, he did
find another position at Technical School Number thirty three in Shakhti,
a coal mining town forty seven miles north of Rostov.
By Chikatillo's own admission, By the mid seventies, his desire

to view naked children drove him to loiter around public toilets,
where he frequently spied on young girls. He also purchased
chewing gum, which he gave to female children to gain
their trust. He is known to have sexually assaulted at

of the street, indicating the girl had been thrown into

of a man talking with Zaktanova at the bus stop

that she was last seen alive at. Despite this, twenty
five year old laborer Alexander Krushenko, who previously served a
prison sentence for the rape and murder of a teenage girl,
was arrested. A surge of his home revealed spots of
blood on his wife's jumper. The blood type matches at
to Nova's and Koshenko's wife let me.

Guess he was just beaten his wife no. Kushenko had
a very strong alibi for the afternoon of December twenty second,
when when the girl had been killed. He was home
with his wife and a friend of hers. And neighbors

received new statements from both women, statements stating Kushenko had

not returned home until later in the evening of that day.
Confronted with the statements, now Kushenko confessed to the killing.
He was tried for murder in nineteen seventy nine. He
retracted his confession of trial and maintained his innocence afterwards,
claiming his confession was given under duress. Despite his retraction, though,

Kushenkov was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. This
was commuted to fifteen years by the Supreme Court in
nineteen eighty. Under pressure from family, Kushenka was retried, convicted,
and executed by firing squad in eighty three. Now there's
a nice story here about how the state sucks. Yeah,

on foot, he met thirteen year old Ubov Burryak, who
was walking home from a shopping trip. The two walked
about a quarter of a mile before hidden from view
when Chikatilo struck. He murdered her by stabbing and slashing
while he initiated sex. Her body was found on June

twenty seventh. The medical examiner stated that there was a
total of twenty two knife wounds inflicted to the head, neck, chest,
and pelvic region. Further wounds found on the skull suggested
she was attacked from behind with the handle and the blade.
