Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hope this email finds you well. Overworked and Underplayed is
a not safe for work Dungeons and Dragons actual play
podcast about a group of young professionals from the real
world who find themselves transported to a strangely familiar place
full of fantasy and magic. See attached for episode descriptions
and content warnings. Thanks for listening.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Previously on Overworked and Underplayed, the Gang experienced a three
day montage in preparation for Crystal's arbitration appointment. During that time,
Taylor got some sweet shoulder pads that are intimidating to men.
Richard talked with ulrich about starting his own business, and
he found out where the Church of Clarity's location really is.

(00:48):
The end of the day, with back and open and
a cold one with boys, Bentley goes to the temple
to learn more about being a good paladin and doesn't
pass the bar. Crystal Honor down Line checks in with
mont jac and had to crack a window. Amy Anne
had a magic nightmare and had to call in fizzled in.

(01:09):
Let's see what the Gang has in store next.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Greetings, I am Chief Magistrate Sir Alden Fairwind. You're arbitrator
today for this session of Overworked and Underplayed, which is
something called a podcast by Young professionals for young professionals.
I am told there is normally some sort of an icebreaker,
so I chose this one. If you could instantly become

(01:46):
an expert at something, what would it be? And why?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
What up?

Speaker 4 (01:50):
It's your boy, Marcel Hardy playing Richard Cox, a human
consultant turned halfling bart who holy believes it's better to
be lucky than good, but it's best to be both.
And if Richard could instantly become an expert at anything,
it would be becoming an expert, and then that way
he could be an expert on everything.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
That is such a Richard answer for more wishes?

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Now?

Speaker 6 (02:18):
Hello, My name is Annelin Hardy, and I played Taylor Jacobs,
a centaur Barbarian with a heart of gold, and she
would become an expert at both personal finance and corporate finance,
and then she would switch industries.

Speaker 7 (02:33):
Hi everyone, I'm Katie, and I played Crystal the Drow
Druid with her very own MLM Crystal Clarity. And if
Priscill could become an expert in anything right in this moment,
it would be arbitration that checks out.

Speaker 8 (02:47):
Hi, I'm Morgan. I played the real Crystal.

Speaker 9 (02:51):
I'm not really sure what's going on with that other person,
but if I could become an expert in anything, I
mean as high priest us. I know I've been able
to reach much of the surrounding regions to indoctrinate them,
but I would have to see. My biggest wish is
to be able to come in with all of Osia's creatures,

(03:13):
even animals, to induct them into my downline.

Speaker 10 (03:16):
Huh, I can already do that.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Hey, I'm Marjorie. I play Amy and Amanda, a basic,
b rough and tumble human fighter with a freshly minted
dentistry degree. Amyan would wish, at this moment in time
and with everything that she has experienced so far, she
would like to become an expert in intradimensional travel so
that we can get home. If you had asked Amy

(03:40):
and oh, I don't know back in the real world
what it would be. She would like to become an
expert on eighties trivia.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
I am Tyler. I play the IT palad and known
as Bentley, and if Bentley could instantly become an expert
on anything, it would be dead trading. So you can
make that big money with I'm in hands instead of
just hitting it big on bitcoin because he was bored
one time.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Once again, I am your chief Arbitrator, Magistrate Alden Fairwind.
And if I could become an expert in something instantly,
what would it be and why? And that would be humor?
Oh look at that, I am already one step closer.

Speaker 4 (04:34):

Speaker 1 (05:02):
All right, so when we pick up, you guys are
in the Arbitrator's arena waiting for him to come back
from his recess where he is reviewing some legal documents.
And so we will pick up with Amy Ann and
Bentley arriving at Fizzlebang's shop.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Okay, So, Bentley, next time you tell me a horrible story.
You got to at least preface it that it's going
to be a horrible story, okay, And I mean I
thought I knew everything, but I feel like every time
we talk about it, there's like some other horrible thing
that's happened. How are you such a well rounded person?

Speaker 5 (05:35):
I don't know. I really appreciate how close we've become.
You're really good at drawing out these dark traumas that
I apparently have I hidden deep inside that no one
else knows about.

Speaker 11 (05:48):
I just asked you what your favorite color was.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I don't know why you were on loan. I mean,
I'm happy to help, but you know, it's just one
of those things. But yeah, geez, is there anything I
can do for you?

Speaker 11 (05:58):
Bentley?

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Because we're here?

Speaker 1 (06:04):
You see as Fizzle Bang throws the door open before
you even knock on it, and he's like, I installed
the proximity alarm to let me know when people get near.
I knew you were coming before you knew. I knew
you were coming.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Are you on the juice again? I thought we told
you to stop there.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
That buddy, I can stop whenever I want.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
I'm gonna cast lesser that I'm joking.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
He just collapses again quickly inside. Amen, I've translated your document.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Oh awesome, yeah, thank you, Fizzle Bank. What does it say?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
He says, Well, do you remember doctor Detarian? You spoke
to me about him before it was his name. But
there was something weird about the symbols. Some of them
were folded over the others, and I don't quite understand,
but I thought you might make some sense of it.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Oh no, oh man, I'm terrible at these types of puzzles.
Which Richard or Taylor was here? Colley, uh, Bentley, can
you make any heads.

Speaker 11 (07:06):
Or tails of this?

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Does just say Austin?

Speaker 12 (07:12):
No?

Speaker 11 (07:13):
Does it is that?

Speaker 1 (07:14):
What?

Speaker 2 (07:14):
It is? That what we're trying to say. Oh, well,
you're so smart, Bentley. I'm so glad I brought you along.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Who's Austin?

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Well, well, my uncle, who I'm pretty sure I'm starting
to think is doctor d or some you know, some
weird thing. My uncle who's been missing for we know
if he's been missing, but he's been gone for a while.
His name's Adrian Austin Amanda, So I'm pretty sure I'm
related to this jerk.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
That's creepy.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Okay, Well, we all have jerks in our family.

Speaker 11 (07:51):
That's true, that's true.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
But he and my dad had a big falling out
several years ago. Not not like hundreds of years ago
or anything like that, but you know the age of
these sigils or anything.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
You see his fizzle bang. After you tell him this,
he like starts erasing one of his chalkboards, and he
starts drawing out the letters, and he starts connecting dots,
and he says, what did you say?

Speaker 4 (08:13):
His name was.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Again, Adrian Austin Amanda.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
He says, he gets those letters are all here.

Speaker 11 (08:23):
Oh what does that mean?

Speaker 1 (08:26):
I don't know, but they're here.

Speaker 11 (08:29):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Well, okay, it appears that this name is some sort
of anagram Bentley.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
What is that?

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Isn't an anagram the one where the letters make up
other words?

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yes, it's a scramble of sorts.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Wow, okay, well, I mean that means something. I'm sure
of it. You know, last time we Sawgitarian and correct
if I'm wrong, Bentley, he tried to kill Richard and Crystal.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Yeah, and he also got away. You get away next
time you see him. And by a bowe I mean
an axe and a sword.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I wonder do you think?

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Hmm?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
All right, fizzle Bang. I remember, I don't know if
you told us this, but the idea was that dar
Karin was some kind of fake creature.

Speaker 11 (09:21):
You think that's still the case.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
It is possible, hmmm.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
I mean I would ask if people could become fab
But then again, when he came here, some of us
became not human.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
True, it is true. It appears that anything is possible
in crossing between the etha between your plane of existence
and ours.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Oh my gosh, Bentley, Okay, remember, okay, Fizzle Bank, I
just had an idea. What about So we just went
to see a witch in the woods and we got
our fortunes told she read our carrot cards, and she
was able to tell that Crystal. She her soul has
been in infecting, you know, inhabiting two bodies. So I wonder,

(10:05):
is there a way we can tell like identity via
soul or something to check to check on identities.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Yeah, perhaps we could. Amen. Can you sit in that
chair right there. I have an idea. Okay, sure, hold
still and don't blink. Okay, all right, and we'll come
back to that. All right. So you guys are sitting
in the arbitrator's arena, and he steps out from the back,
and he goes, oh good, you're still here. Yes, So

(10:35):
I reviewed at length the legal codes pursuant to this
type of endeavor, and I have seen that it is
both improper thus not allowed to accept gifts from either
party prior to this proceeding. Now, if you wish to
douse yourself in whatever holy oil or substance, that is

(10:59):
your prerogative, and I may not get in your way,
but you are not to doubt the other side non
consensually with such substances.

Speaker 8 (11:08):
I understand completely.

Speaker 9 (11:09):
But just know, after the proceedings you are welcome to
take any of our essential oils that you seem fit.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
I reviewed that I do not believe I am allowed
to take anything from either side.

Speaker 9 (11:22):
I understand you just put emphasis on prior, so I
thought maybe afterwards we could partake.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
But I'm sure there's some statute of limitations on such prohibition.
But we will proceed hereforth with the proceedings. So will
everyone take their seat again?

Speaker 8 (11:43):
The Divinity calls me to stand.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Ah, yes, yes, you may stand, thank you. Okay, So
the situation before us, I have here that there was
a suit filed by One and Crystal of the Church
of Clarity, at another labeled Crystal two point zero. Emphasis

(12:10):
on the zero was in the document.

Speaker 8 (12:13):
I'm not arbitratorship.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Yes, Now you are claiming that she has utilized your
trademark unlawfully, that has tried to impersonate you unlawfully to
an official of Levern was notified that you had prior
registration of her trademark let see theft of property and

(12:36):
then both libel and slander of your materials, and then
also attempted use of the Clarity trademark while selling as
listed here a counterfeit bootleg product unlawfully. Is that a
correct list of all the charges you are claiming?

Speaker 8 (12:58):
Yes, I believe so your arbitrary.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Okay, Crystal two point zero? What are your charges against
uh the the other client here?

Speaker 10 (13:09):
Identity theft?

Speaker 7 (13:12):
Okay, false accusations and I'm trying to think.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Also, Richard like pings on the bracelet to Crystal's like,
are we going with intellectual property theft? Are we dropping
that one?

Speaker 10 (13:30):
Crystal like pings back? Should we?

Speaker 7 (13:32):
I mean like it probably can't hurt, right, Like she's
piled on a list of things that are true. I
could pile on a list of things that are true. Yeah, yeah,
so intellectual property theft and also a theft of actual
things that belong to me. I have there's a device
that she has in her possession that originally belonged to me,

(13:54):
and I would like that back.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
What is this device you are referencing it.

Speaker 10 (14:00):
Was submitted into evidence. It's the cell phone.

Speaker 8 (14:04):
I don't understand what those words mean.

Speaker 7 (14:08):
It was the thing that was submitted into evidence. I
don't know how to describe it. Richard or Taylor, do
you have like a good like do you guys remember
what they called it when they submitted it into Well.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
Richard has one that an example also?

Speaker 4 (14:26):
That's right, Yeah, it's you know, it looks like this.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Yes, please produce the device for purposes of evidence.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
It's not gonna let go of his phone. But it's
like the device that was put in evidence is similar
to this. You know it's like a rectangle, Yes, like
a glass front.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
High Priestess, do you have an object that matches this description?

Speaker 11 (14:51):
I mean.

Speaker 9 (14:53):
I have something similar, but it's it.

Speaker 8 (14:58):
It looks almost like the Holy tablet of the Fruit
of knowledge?

Speaker 6 (15:06):
Could this be Taylor is going to be like Apple
and Android? Are that different?

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Please keep outburst to a minimum. The High Priestess was
speaking as is her right, you.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
Feel in the back of your head, I'm actually.

Speaker 13 (15:28):
Uh you.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
You say you have this tablet of fruit of knowledge
or what what did you call it?

Speaker 8 (15:35):
It is the holy tablet of the Fruit of Knowledge?

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Okay? Do you have this object to present to the proceedings?

Speaker 8 (15:47):
Is it mine to present?

Speaker 9 (15:49):
When it belongs to the Church of Clarity?

Speaker 10 (15:53):
She does, God, you entered it into evidence.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Please keep the outburst to him inim'.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Oh, she just not allowed to talk anymore.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
I didn't say she wasn't allowed to talk.

Speaker 10 (16:05):
You wasn't speaking? Were you speaking?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
This whole thing is getting confusing. Okay, here's what we're
doing from here on out. And he takes his a
little hammer and he places it on the table, goes,
you will raise your hand when you wish to speak,
and whoever is holding the hammer gets to speak.

Speaker 10 (16:23):
We are not doing the talking stick.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Okay, High Priestess Crystal, do you have this tablet? Is
it here in this space and can be presented as
it is according to the other side evidence of theft
of identity.

Speaker 9 (16:43):
I suppose I could use the tablet and present it,
though it cannot be owned by anyone but the church.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Okay, because it was stolen. I'm sorry, Miss Crystal two
point zero. You do not have the stick. Do you
wish to speak?

Speaker 7 (17:03):
I didn't agree to a talking stick. I wasn't interrupting her.
She wasn't interrupting me. I do not agree to a
talking stick.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Okay, this is getting very confusing. Now, okay, moving forward,
please present the tablet.

Speaker 8 (17:18):
Here you go, your arbitratorship.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
You see as he pulls out some silk gloves to
put on his hands, and he steps out and takes
it into his possession. He goes, it's much smaller than
I thought it would be. How could this have anything
written on it? It looks blank?

Speaker 5 (17:35):
Yeah, it's very average sized.

Speaker 8 (17:36):
Well it is.

Speaker 9 (17:38):
It is sacred, and it is holy. We do not
pretend to understand the inner workings of the church, but
the daily tote does tell us how we are to
proceed forward in our daily lives.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Would you like daily affirmation? App you like this? Would
you like to enter this daily toto into evidence as I.

Speaker 9 (18:07):
What is that I can show you? Through divine intervention?
Somehow I was chosen to be.

Speaker 8 (18:17):
The leader.

Speaker 9 (18:18):
I will need to see the holy tablet once more,
and then I take the holy time.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Can I hand it to it in front of my.

Speaker 8 (18:26):
Face and it comes to life?

Speaker 7 (18:31):
I knew making the background of my phone a selfie
was a bad idea.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
That is quite the There's some strong magic you are
displaying here. Uh now it.

Speaker 8 (18:45):
Is the church, your arbitratorship.

Speaker 7 (18:49):
Can I see this thing, that holy whatever?

Speaker 10 (18:56):
Yes, it's mine originally.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
And technically right now, her possession and chain of custody
shows that it is her property of her church until
you can prove ownership.

Speaker 8 (19:10):
I would like to do that.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Okay, step forward.

Speaker 7 (19:16):
She gets up out of the chair for the first
time and like walks over and like takes the phone.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Okay, so please explain to me how you will show
ownership of this magical instrument.

Speaker 10 (19:30):
Okay, I can show you. I can.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
I can unlock the phone. The phone has a pass
code as well as a face.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
I D.

Speaker 7 (19:39):
She clearly used the face I D because I stupidly
put a freaking selfie is my stupid background.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
He looks at the background, and he looks at you,
and he goes it looks like her, not you, though.

Speaker 6 (19:52):
I would like.

Speaker 8 (19:56):
I would request.

Speaker 9 (19:56):
I would like to request the removal of the holy tablet.
The Fruit of Knowledge could be in danger from her
negative attitude. I do not wish for her to hold.

Speaker 8 (20:10):
The Holy tablet.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Okay, to respect her religion's rights. We have to place
the tablet on this table and you may access it
that way.

Speaker 10 (20:22):
That works.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
So he places it down on the table gently and
steps away. Now I so far, I see a lot
of evidence that this is in fact hers or her churches.

Speaker 10 (20:37):
Okay, yep.

Speaker 7 (20:40):
Leadership walks up to the phone and she obviously the
face unlocking thing isn't going to work because of all
the differences. So she pulls up the number pad and
types in her past coode and gets into the phone.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
It says incorrect.

Speaker 9 (20:57):
Even the Holy Tablet, the Fruit of Knowledge rejects her.

Speaker 7 (21:02):
She types it in again, slightly like maybe she forgot it,
and so she types it in again.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
It says incorrect past code.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
Hmm.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
If it wasn't Crystal's pride and enjoy, Taylor would already
have destroyed this phone. She knows how important it is
to Crystal, otherwise it would already be.

Speaker 6 (21:26):
Done.

Speaker 7 (21:27):
Hmmm, Richard, can you are we able to make calls.

Speaker 10 (21:32):
In this world?

Speaker 4 (21:35):
We haven't tried. I mean, only my phone has existed
because your phone was missing until now.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
But right, yeah, so that's a right idea.

Speaker 7 (21:45):
So can Richard, Richard, if you'll just call my number.
She gives him her phone number to call.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
What cell phone provider does Richard use?

Speaker 4 (21:55):
I was going to try to come up with a
fake one, but I'm just gonna say Verizon.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Okay, And Crystal, what cell phone provider do you use?

Speaker 10 (22:04):
Are you actually asking?

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Yes? I'm asking, like what would Crystal use?

Speaker 10 (22:09):
I feel like it is a decent option. I feel
like there's no reason why.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
I know it's a silly question, but it was determining
the difficulty rating of if y'all have any kind of
service for whatever reason. Okay, let's see all right, Crystal
roll of D twenty.

Speaker 8 (22:27):
Okay, which one?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Crystal two points zero? Roll of D twenty.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Can Richard do something while he's dialing the phone?

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Sure? What are you wanting to do?

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Richard wants to cast major image on the iPhone?

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Oh? Okay, what image are you casting?

Speaker 4 (22:54):
He's gonna make it right now, look exactly the way
that it looks. But in case the phone does doesn't work,
like the service doesn't work, He's going to use that
image to like, now it looks like there's a phone
call coming in and I can make it have noises.
It's going to sound like there's a ring tone.

Speaker 10 (23:09):
Yeah, okay, do you want my number?

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Yes, fifteen. So you you look Richard on your phone
and you see one tiny bar of service mm hmm.
So you attempt to make a phone call. Yes, okay,
So you wait, does Richard have crystal cell phone number?

Speaker 5 (23:37):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (23:39):
I can imagine, like Taylor Taylor was riding.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
It'd be funny if Crystal started saying it and then
christ was like, oh, Taylor was like it's.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
This yeah, yeah, Taylor already knew it number. So so
you call it and you notice that the screen does
light up and it does say there's a call coming,
but no sound is coming from the phone. Yeah, you're right,

(24:08):
you're not there.

Speaker 10 (24:10):
Our tech guy's not here. Yeah he failed out in
the last moment, thanks Tyler.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
It appears that the screen has changed, right.

Speaker 7 (24:19):
Because he called my phone with the number that I
gave him, which is my phone number.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
High Priestess Crystal Rebuttal.

Speaker 9 (24:28):
I did not know what a phone number is, but
on occasion, the Holy Tablet of the Fruit of Knowledge
sometimes has changes that are there and gone in an instant.
It is a message from above, and I can only
pretend to begin to.

Speaker 8 (24:49):
Understand the meaning.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
That does sound, that does sound believable.

Speaker 10 (24:56):
He did something on purpose, and if.

Speaker 8 (25:00):
You watch, it will disappear momentarily. Let us look. Let
us watch.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
He sees the arbitrator, stares the thing down and notices
that it's gone away. He goes, no, need to take
this offline. Overworked and underplayed will circle back after these messages.
I mean she was right. It did disappear.

Speaker 10 (25:20):
Because he stopped calling it.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Hold on, and he looks at He looks at Richard,
and he goes, and you see him. He holds, He
kind of holds out his hand. He goes, you're a
magic user. Yes, that is correct, and this is a
form of sorcery.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
This is technology, this is I think you guys have artificers.
I've heard the word.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
What is your spell casting focus?

Speaker 4 (25:46):
My spellcasting focus? Hmm? Tough decisions, tough decisions.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Deception or persuasion? What's it going to be?

Speaker 4 (25:58):
That's a good question.

Speaker 10 (26:00):
How is that relevant as a question?

Speaker 6 (26:03):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (26:04):
It is relevant. Do tell how Oh he needs to
answer the question.

Speaker 7 (26:11):
No, you need to elaborate on why that is relevant.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
It is relevant because as a magic user, I believe
he is using his device as a spell casting focus,
as many magical objects can be utilized. Thus, I'm not
sure if him utilizing his magical spell casting focus to
cause a change in another magical item necessarily indicates possession
or ownership.

Speaker 7 (26:35):
If that is a holy, holy thing like it is
being claimed, would it not be impervious to a minor
amount of magic? Would he be able to actually influence
something that is holy as we are claiming, Or if
it's just an average thing, would he then be able
to influence it? Because if it's so holy, how if

(26:57):
if he was casting anything, how would he be able
to have any influence on it?

Speaker 8 (27:03):
Whatsoever?

Speaker 1 (27:04):
High Priestess Crystal Rebuttal, The thing that is.

Speaker 9 (27:08):
So miraculous about the tablet is that it is both
mundane and it is complex. We do not begin to
understand how it works, just that it can be affected
by magic. Is is impossible, but yet possible.

Speaker 10 (27:30):
Ah, So that's not an explanation.

Speaker 7 (27:32):
I do appreciate your attempt at an explanation, but it's
not a proof I have.

Speaker 9 (27:37):
Ever claimed to understand the tablet I am just blessed
to have been chosen.

Speaker 10 (27:43):
You just claim to use it, you.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
Know, Richard having PTSD from the Iron Cool and Thorn
is like, actually, as long as I can guarantee that
you're going to give my focus back, And he like
puts his hand on his monocle and he's like, this
is it. I'm putting it on to the table. No
one's gonna take it, and now I can't do magic. Right,

(28:06):
were all in agreeance.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
He says that that does track.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
And he's going to keep his phone in his hand.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Mhmm, Well this leads me much too much to ponder, uh,
do you have any other evidence that this is your object?
And if it is technically your object, how does that
exonerate you from the charges laid against you?

Speaker 7 (28:35):
Because the information on that tablet is information I created,
It is my property, and it is the things that
she's utilizing to build her church.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
So you are a minor deity of some sort you.

Speaker 10 (28:53):
Some have called me that.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Yeah, all right, So on that we're going to cut
back to Amyan and Bentley. As Amyen is sitting in
the chair unblinking, and you see as Fizzle Bang is
arranging a series of lenses and crystals along with like
an arcane focus, and he goes, okay, okay, hear me out,

(29:16):
hear me out. This might sound crazy, but I believe did.
If we release the energy from this dynamo through this
crystal and refocus it through these lens, we can blast
her with an amount of energy and radiation that will
determine her true identity. Hold still, okay, can I can
I blink yet?

Speaker 5 (29:35):
He's going to turn you into the hawk.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
He's going to take a picture of you.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
And he goes to do it and the crystal just
explodes right there and he goes, ah, oh, oh, that
didn't work. He says, I could have sworn. Did I
get the I must have put the wires on backwards.
Hold on, let me see if I can find another crystal.
And you see as he goes into the back, there's
a knock.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
At the door.

Speaker 5 (30:02):
Were you expecting anyone?

Speaker 1 (30:04):
No, why didn't my alarm go off?

Speaker 11 (30:09):
Well that's a good question.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
But he's gonna go ahead and draw his weapons.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Yeah, Amen is ready, is ready for an attack as well?

Speaker 1 (30:19):
And are you all going to peek outside or.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Yes, we're going to do the same thing that fizzle
bang did like peel the curtain back just a.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Little for Okay, you see Saul good Elf.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Fizzle bang, it's Saul good Elf.

Speaker 11 (30:34):
Do you know him?

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Yes? Why is he here?

Speaker 11 (30:38):
I don't know? You want me to let him in?

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Sure? He seems harmless enough?

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Hmm okay, famous last words.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Hey sol, Hey, hey, no time, no time for small talk.
Where are the rest of your friends? They're at arbitration,
son of a bitch. I knew something was up about that,
he said. I checked the records. There's no record of
any arbitration taking place today.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Do you think the Lord Protector set us up?

Speaker 1 (31:10):
No, I don't think he had anything to do with it.
I think that there's something screwy going on, and we
need to find your friends. And I wish I had
paid more attention to Crystal when she came to visit me,
because I wrote the address down wrong, because the place
I went to was an abandoned shack. We need to
find your friends. I think they're in danger.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Okay, well, come on, let's.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Go and we cut back to arbitration. So I have
a lot to take in here. So you're claiming you're
a minor deity and that you inspired the Church of Clarity.

Speaker 7 (31:45):
Oh, I didn't claim that I was a minor deity.
I said, some people call me that.

Speaker 6 (31:52):
Oh that is people say about me.

Speaker 7 (31:56):
Interesting that it's a high form of flattery that people
would reach as far as to call me that.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Okay, it's true. Can confirm What about these claims of
identity theft? How can you be the person in these
pictures if you are not that person? Now, that is.

Speaker 7 (32:13):
A long story, including one that involves some facial rearranging,
which hasn't been the most fun of my experiences in
my time here. But I can just say that that
is my phone and I'd like it back.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
Also, we know.

Speaker 13 (32:30):
That the High Priestess is a changeling, so maybe if
she just took her you know, outrageous her pretend to
face off, then we can see that neither.

Speaker 6 (32:40):
Of them match.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
That is quite the accusation you are making there.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
Oh, I apologize. I thought this was common knowledge that
she was a deep fake.

Speaker 8 (32:50):
How dare you a deep face slander in a court
of law?

Speaker 1 (33:00):
You know, I have a point of information. This is
not a court of law. This is technically a binding arbitration.
Semantics aside, Do you have some proof miss Jacobs for this, uh,
this accusation, because those are grave accusations you are making.

Speaker 6 (33:16):
I think we could probably do a DNA test.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
What is DNA what?

Speaker 13 (33:22):
It's a discerning kind of test. So if Crystal would
submit herself to being tested for authenticity, and our Crystal
as well, I'd like to.

Speaker 9 (33:35):
Take a moment to speak to authenticity.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
To what, Yes, High Priestess, what what can I help
you with?

Speaker 9 (33:46):
What is real is true and what's unreal is false?
The only way to clarity is through the commandments of
the Toto.

Speaker 10 (33:55):
I think I might throw up.

Speaker 6 (33:58):
Just take your face off and then we'll we'll just
be able to really look at you.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Miss.

Speaker 9 (34:04):
Do not think I can remove my face or you know,
change to my body.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
We do not advocate for violence in my court or
in my arbitrator.

Speaker 10 (34:14):
Arena, I can convince that she's like three possums in
a coat. She won't even sit down for this.

Speaker 6 (34:20):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
That is actually a very good question. Do you have
the ability to sit down? High Priestess?

Speaker 9 (34:26):
I do.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Could you demonstrate set ability so we can rule out
that you are, in fact not three raccoons in a coat?

Speaker 8 (34:34):
Yes? And then I proceed to sit.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Okay, let the record show that she is in fact
a humanoid of some sort and not three raccoons in
a coat. Now you did mention this Toto. What relevance
does that have to our proceedings.

Speaker 9 (34:49):
If she were who she claims to be, which is me,
she would know of the commandments of the Tote.

Speaker 8 (34:57):
But she does not because she is not.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
He takes the device back and he says, can you
show me on here where it has the commandments of
the Toto? Yes, of course, okay, yes, miss Crystal two
point zero. Can you give me any of the commandments
of the Toto. I'm looking at it right here.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
I'm just now getting that that it means to do list,
like you.

Speaker 11 (35:28):
Wow, that's good.

Speaker 10 (35:30):
I'm trying to think of like something that.

Speaker 7 (35:33):
So this is like, it's not my this is my
actual to do list that I had on had created
before coming to this world.

Speaker 10 (35:42):
That's what we're going with.

Speaker 6 (35:44):
And does it have the dates listed it stuff? Because
I'm sure she knows the dates of product launches and stuff.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Uh, I see no dates listed here. I just see commandments.

Speaker 4 (35:54):
Well, we have seen him reaching for the phone, do it?
I said, So we saw him like reaching for the phone,
and I guess.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Yeah, from the table or whatever.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
Okay, I still want to go with my whole like
image things where I can make it look like what
I want it to look like. So if we didn't
do it with the actual phone call, then I can
apply that here.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
So what are you making? What are you trying to
make it display?

Speaker 4 (36:26):
I want it to display maybe like m a flickering screen,
so like whatever it looks like right now is what
it looks like. But the screen kind of like flickers.
And then so hoping that as Crystal says what she
thinks should be on the two doo, maybe the screen
flickers and the text changes.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
I want you to make a slide of hand check, okay, and.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
I'm gonna use a good omen Okay, should I guess
I'm only using what.

Speaker 5 (36:59):
The role for a good omen?

Speaker 1 (37:01):
Oh yeah, Oh my god, No.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
It's a four fifteen.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
Okay, Crystal. High priests Crystal, if you'll roll a D
twenty fifteen? Okay, Richard, you do make the screen flicker,
and you see as the arbitrator kind of ah, what's
going on? But as you do that, you look over
and you see that High Priest's Crystal is staring right

(37:32):
at you. Okay, I would say that that you you
saw him cast the spell, is what I'm getting at.

Speaker 9 (37:39):
Yeah, I'm I'm thinking we're having interference.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
Can I detect magic on the device itself?

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Do you want to use a spell slot to cast
detect magic?

Speaker 10 (37:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Okay, so you technically you would detect magic from any
of the any of the devices from your world in
the room, so that would be both cell phones. You
also detect magic from behind a very powerful source of
magic from behind the desk of the arbitrator, and you

(38:18):
detect magic coming from high Priestess Crystal.

Speaker 10 (38:24):
That is not what I thought would happen.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
In fact, the magic you detect from behind his desk
is illusion magic.

Speaker 10 (38:32):
Hmm.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
Okay, I wish I had something, miss Crystal. Two point
zero flickers aside. Can you give us any of these
commandments from the Toto since you said all of these
religious commandments were your own making.

Speaker 10 (38:50):
Yeah, so let's see.

Speaker 7 (38:51):
I'm trying to it's been so long since I've had
access to this because it's been stolen for so long. Taylor,
when was the left jazzed or the ooh no, when
was the essential ORLS launch date that we had.

Speaker 13 (39:05):
Planned January sixth for the New Year, New Me campaign launch.

Speaker 7 (39:12):
Okay, so let's go with that date like that's January sixth,
and then say that the New Year Knew Me campaign and.

Speaker 10 (39:21):
Essential ORLS for January sixth.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
It says, well, that's not on this list. But I
do see another thing here that has a list of
dates and has that listed as New Year. High Priestess Crystal,
would you like to elaborate on this on this date?
Is this important to your religion?

Speaker 8 (39:42):
January sixth?

Speaker 1 (39:46):
I do not know what this means.

Speaker 8 (39:47):
I do not either.

Speaker 12 (39:50):
New Year.

Speaker 9 (39:52):
Talks about new birth into the church. That is an
important date, but I do not know which January sixth.

Speaker 13 (40:02):
Maybe, I mean, do we need any more evidence than that?

Speaker 6 (40:08):
Because that feels pretty conclusive.

Speaker 5 (40:11):
Question. How close are Amy Ann and Bitley Ginning if
we were taking the DeLorean?

Speaker 1 (40:17):
Oh oh, you're taking the You just like launched the
Toyota Tacoma and just floored it there.

Speaker 5 (40:23):
Yeah, no, I.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Changed it to the Oh okay, two of us, let's see.
Well you're having this, We're going.

Speaker 5 (40:29):
We don't need roads.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
So just to be clear, just be clear, you're navigating
streets made for carts, so it is probably still going
to take a little bit of time, but you're not
far I'll say that. He says, you know High Priest's Crystal.
She does bring up a good point. She knew this
January word and you didn't. And this appears in your

(40:51):
supposed text.

Speaker 12 (40:53):
That's Jam, that doesn't I don't know what January is.
That says Jam. Jam was introduced into the church and
the new year.

Speaker 5 (41:04):
Oh god, wait, we have to bring a saltier so
it would be in this coma.

Speaker 1 (41:09):
Could could you present this person jan? Uh? Would that
be something that would be you would be able to do?

Speaker 5 (41:18):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (41:19):
Jan is not here. Jan is a soul seeker.

Speaker 9 (41:21):
At this point, the only people I have brought with
me are my Crystal guardians.

Speaker 7 (41:27):
Can I talk to I'm going to talk to Richard
and Taylor Jacobs on the little Risky band things, and
I'm going to say I feel like something's not quite
right that I just detected magic to see if my
phone had like some sort of you know, magic on it,

(41:50):
so that I wouldn't be able to get my past
code in. And there's like illusion magic coming from.

Speaker 10 (41:57):
The arbitrator desk and crystal chick. She's given me weird
vibes and I'm just not liking.

Speaker 7 (42:06):
And there's more magic coming from her, and I just
am uncomfortable. Are you guys getting the same level of
discomfort that I'm getting?

Speaker 1 (42:14):
So at this point, at this are you specifically only
hitting their buttons? Are you doing this to like send all? Okay?
So at this point Bentley, you and amy Ann would
it would be coming in kind of garbled, so you
would hear like every third word she said, kind of thing.

Speaker 5 (42:37):
Oh hey, I think that I think that they're coming
through Emmy call and tell them I'm driving I can't.

Speaker 11 (42:41):
Okay the phone and.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
Drive trap trap trap over and over again, trap trap trap,
trap trap.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Okay, So you guys randomly hear static and then amy
An saying trap.

Speaker 6 (42:55):
Taylor's gonna lean over to the arbitrator and be like,
I don't want to embear, but are you hiding a fart?

Speaker 1 (43:05):
He leans in and he goes, no, I I my
name is fair Wind, not foul Wind.

Speaker 6 (43:11):
That's a good one. Also, it appears that you have
a lot of illusion magic behind you. So I just
wanted to check.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
In and see if you were doing that because I
would totally understand in the meeting how embarrassing it can be.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
What are you talking about illusion magic?

Speaker 6 (43:28):
That's a good question.

Speaker 13 (43:29):
We just like detected it, So I wasn't sure exactly
you know why that would be the case, especially you've
been so fair.

Speaker 1 (43:37):
Are you insinuating that there are foul magic in my
arena of arbitration?

Speaker 13 (43:42):
Well, if you're not doing it, and we're not doing it,
I mean, there's only one other person that.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
Gonna be hold steady. And you see as he holds
his hands out and he casts detect magic. So it's
about this time, you guys here a Toyota Tacoma come
to like a screeching halt outside.

Speaker 11 (44:00):
Just how did you get your license? Bentley?

Speaker 9 (44:12):
God?

Speaker 10 (44:14):
Anyone for this world?

Speaker 1 (44:15):
So you know, And as he's doing that, he turns
and goes, are you expecting company?

Speaker 6 (44:22):
Yeah? I mean they were, I mean not unwelcome to arbitration.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
And so he so he turns and he says, I
do detect some sort of interesting magic in this room.
And he he turns and he looks at Richard and
he goes, how kind of you to bring the astral
projector and the lux me le so lay so close

(44:51):
to us, and he says role initiative.

Speaker 4 (44:56):
Yeah, it's a weird thing for you to say.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
You've done You've done well, my apprentice.

Speaker 4 (45:03):
Okay, that's not bad. Richard got a twenty two.

Speaker 6 (45:06):
Nice, that's pretty good, run Richard, I got it fourteen?

Speaker 1 (45:12):
So who got above a fifteen?

Speaker 5 (45:15):
I did?

Speaker 1 (45:16):
What did Bentley get?

Speaker 5 (45:18):
Bentley got an eighteen? Okay, he's hyped up because the
music was playing.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
All right, who got between a five and a ten?

Speaker 11 (45:28):
Maybe I got five?

Speaker 8 (45:30):
Am I supposed to roll?

Speaker 1 (45:32):
Yes? Cool, because I sorry twenty oh nice?

Speaker 8 (45:37):
Plus one?

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Okay, I think twenty one? Okay, and then let me
roll for the sky. Oh, dear lord, Well that'll be
fun as pretty usual. That's okay. It's best for the
high rolls to be things like this and not like,
you know, attacks when you're when you're prone on the

(46:00):
ground with one failed death save.

Speaker 5 (46:04):
Them some bullshitted homebrewd monster and that's way over to
you again.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
Okay. So at the.

Speaker 5 (46:13):
Very whoever homebrewed it, at.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
The very beginning of the fight, the visage of the
arbitrator is gonna slowly fade away, and you see as
this almost cloudlike it looks almost like a genie appears
before you, and he says, I will offer you one chance.

(46:37):
Leave the items here and leave our presence, or you
shall perish. And then I need everyone except for Crystal
two point zero to make a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker 5 (46:53):
Does that include us two that aren't even in the
building yet?

Speaker 1 (46:56):
It does not include you too? Sorry? Plus well you're
immune to this effect. All right, Richard, what'd you get?

Speaker 4 (47:09):
Sixteen?

Speaker 1 (47:10):
Sixteen is going to fail? What did Taylor Jacobs get?

Speaker 11 (47:18):
Fine?

Speaker 1 (47:19):
That is also going to fail? As you two doze
off to sleep, sleep, okay, all right at the beginning,
So that is the end of his turn, the beginning
for rich You wake up like in this almost incorporal
space that looks similar to the room you were in,

(47:41):
but everything's kind of cloudy, and standing before you, you
see this giant of a of like an armored man
with this Purple's long sword in his hand, and you
see laying next to you Taylor Jacobs in her centaur form.
What do you do?

Speaker 4 (48:02):
You said, she's laying on the ground. What does she
look like?

Speaker 1 (48:04):
I mean, she's in her centaur form. It's she looks
kind of groggy.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
But she doesn't look like dead or anything.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
No, no, no, no, She's not like blood eat or
anything like that.

Speaker 4 (48:13):
Do I recognize the person?

Speaker 1 (48:16):
It looks very similar to the genie like being you
saw before, just much larger and more intimidating looking.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
Richard is going to try to talk to this person,
be like, hey, I don't know what the fuck's going
on here? And who are you?

Speaker 1 (48:31):
He looks at you and he says, all these Where
do all the smoke clouds come from? He says, I
am the avatar of Sunam and you have something I want?

Speaker 4 (48:46):
Okay? And what would that be?

Speaker 1 (48:49):
The items from the ory?

Speaker 4 (48:53):
Oh wow, okay, I don't have those.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
He says, okay, roll deception, I guess. Okay, Well we'll
play this fairly. Oh my god, man, what's math twenty four?
He says, you don't he rolled one? You have to say,

(49:26):
what do you mean you don't have them? We said
this thing up to get these from you had them
in your little Fannie pack.

Speaker 4 (49:32):
I did, you would be corrected. That is normally, but
things have been very sketchy lately. Wait, why am I
telling you this? No, I don't have them.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
I don't believe you. Where did you put them?

Speaker 4 (49:43):
Why you don't have to tell you that.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
You see as he draws his sword back, rich was.

Speaker 4 (49:51):
Like, oh God, please let this be a dream, and
he's there.

Speaker 8 (49:54):
Oh god.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Okay, so it is now high Priest is Crystal? You
see what is just happened? What do you see that
Taylor Jacobs and rich have kind of gone limp and unconscious.
You are standing there with your two Crystal guardians. What
do you do? I could hear the whole conversation happening
right telepathically, Yes, telepathically.

Speaker 8 (50:18):
Okay, Well, I don't believe Richard, So I'm going.

Speaker 1 (50:24):
To make me do this. Make me an insight check.

Speaker 8 (50:28):
Okay, I rolled a five.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
Well, so you have plus five to your insight, so
that would be a ten with his twenty four. You
believe him that he doesn't have them on them, but
you don't believe him that he doesn't know where they are.

Speaker 9 (50:42):
Okay, So I'm going to get one of my guards.

Speaker 8 (50:46):
To go search him.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Okay, that is going to be as Bentley and Amy
and basically bust into the room.

Speaker 5 (50:54):
Wait, where's where Saul he was coming with?

Speaker 1 (50:57):
When y'all roll up and the Tacoma sauls like, okay,
sounds like it's kind of crazy in there. I'm just
gonna He's like, I'm gonna hang out out here, and
you know, keep an eye on the vehicle in case
we need to make a quick escape.

Speaker 5 (51:09):
Okay, okay, Soul, I believe you keep a watch on it,
and then the vehicle disappears because I stopped focusing on it.

Speaker 4 (51:37):
A gratitude today keeps the haters away, and that's why
