Speaker 4 (00:26):
Do you have a second.
Speaker 5 (00:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Of course? Cool?
Speaker 6 (00:30):
Cool, awesome.
Speaker 7 (00:30):
I'm glad you can make time for me so earlier.
Like I just I really have a lot that's on
my plate and on my mind, and I just really
need someone to listen.
Speaker 6 (00:37):
So I'm glad you're here.
Speaker 7 (00:38):
So first of all, like we had this thing where
we were going after this guy, and like there were
pirates in his office and we didn't know what to do,
and no one was listening to me because I asked
us to sneak in, and then they just barged right
in there, and then I fucking bomb went off and
no one could hear me, or at least I think
they couldn't. Maybe they were just pretending not to listen,
of course, I mean I don't know at this point.
And then Richard like he almost died and I I
(01:00):
had to freaking save him, and then freaking Taylor and
Bentley they're off doing their own thing. And I don't
understand why why we would ever separate. No one listened
to me in a situation because I said we should
all hang out together, but no, of course not. There
was a boat and then we saw our guy that
we were looking for, and he was on this boat,
and then they went after him, and I of course
had of course, it's meet picking up everybody's mess.
Speaker 6 (01:20):
All of the time.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Excuse me, what what you're supposed to be listening to me?
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Of course, customer is always right? Okay, I meant I
meant like food or beverage.
Speaker 7 (01:32):
But this is therapies, right like, this is where people
come to talk about their problems.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Uh no, this is the Rappies. It's my bar. My
name is Gavin the RAPPI I.
Speaker 7 (01:42):
Find that silly, So I'm gonna just We're just gonna
keep going.
Speaker 8 (01:47):
So anyway, I am Alex Capps, your district manager or DM.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
And this is overworked and underplayed. A D and D
podcast for young professionals by young professionals Today is Icebreaker.
What is your favorite part about Halloween.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
What Up?
Speaker 5 (02:19):
It's your boy? Marcel Hardy playing Richard Cox, the human
consultant turned halfling Bard who Holly believes it's better to
be lucky than good, but it's best to be both.
And Richard's favorite part of Halloween is the age old
question of is it Reese's Pieces or Rees's Pieces?
Speaker 2 (02:36):
It's Reese's Pieces, No, it's not, No, it's Reese's I
am you started something and I'm gonna die on this hill.
There is literally an apostrophe in the first name Riese's Pieces.
Speaker 9 (02:58):
Hell, and I've like Taylor Jacobs, a centaur Barbarian with
a heart of gold. And her favorite Halloween is when
everyone in the office dresses up because everyone looks so cute,
and then she hopes that she gets invited to drinks afterwards.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Hi everyone, I'm Katie and I play Crystala Dradrid with
her very own MLM Crystal Clarity. And her favorite part
of Halloween is that it's the main girl's rule, where
you can dress up as anything and be as slutty
as you want and no one else can judge you
for it.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Hey, H'm Marjorie. I play Amy and Amanda basically rough
and tumble human fighter with a freshly minted dentistry degree.
There's a lot about Halloween that amy An loves. One
is seeing all the little kids trick or treating and
their cute little costumes. The other is getting together Every Halloween.
Her family has a big bash and they all have
(03:55):
you know, like Bob for apples, They have like make'mores
and all of that. It's a really lovely little thing
they get together. That's when they have that kind of
closed door party after everybody's graduated from the dentistry college.
But I haven't you know, she hasn't been in one
of those yet, but she's hoping to you next year.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
I'm Tyler. I play the it pallel to notice Bentley
and Bitley doesn't like Halloween at all. Nope, it's too scary.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
I'm calling Shenanigans. Everyone likes Halloween.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
I don't like Halloween.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
What Let's see? Hi everyone, I'm Alex Kapps, your DM
or district manager, And as the DM, my favorite part
of Halloween is reminding people that Halloween has fewer pagan
traditions than Christmas.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
All right, so when we last left off, you guys
were treading water and two of you had made it
onto the ship. Kind of well, no, you're on the
ship now, fully, So we're gonna go back to the
ones treading water. And Crystal was thinking mermaid, mermaid, mermaid?
All right, what'd you get for your D one hundred
(05:32):
forty forty is gonna get you a h not quite
a mermaid, Taylor and Amy An you would see as
Crystal just kind of poofs and she disappears below the water.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Crystal, can she swim?
Speaker 6 (05:51):
I mean I thought you could, okay, And then she's sinking.
Can we see something sinking?
Speaker 2 (05:58):
So it's it's nighttime, so you guys aren't gonna be
able to see in the water very well, Crystal, you
feel very sleek and awkward dynamic, and you now have
a swim speed of fifty feet.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Whoa wow? Can we bracelet?
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Be like?
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Are you okay?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Crystal?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Where did you go so you would hear the bracelet?
Speaker 4 (06:22):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (06:23):
What do you do?
Speaker 4 (06:24):
I'm good? I was hoping for mermaid. I don't know
what I think I'm a mermaid? Did I Maybe I'm
a mermaid? I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
So you can't really see yourself? Are you going to
try to surface?
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Okay, So as you pop your head back up or
what you think is your head back up above water,
you Taylor, you and Amy and see a giant stingray.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
It's actually pretty cool, Crystal.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
This is actually a perfect swim backwards into the boat.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
And as she pops up, you just see like like
the little sting gray mouth on the bottom just kind
of moving while she's talking to you.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Oh my god, it's some vertical in the waters.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Yeah my mouth.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
It's so cute but also weird?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Is that you, Crystal?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Am I not a mermaid? No?
Speaker 1 (07:12):
You're a sting ray? Honey.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
Oh no, this is why I never do this. I
just was God, why can't I get this right?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
So Katie is actually like has her hands on her
face right now, just imagining the little stingray flippers are
like doing that. Like she's just rubbing her forehead what
would be her forehead with the little ends of her body.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Not being able to see my mouth because my eyes
are on the back of my head and my mind.
So if i'm you can see my mouth but not
my eyes, that's very strange. Logistically, that's strange.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Okay, Well, I guess I'm gonna can you like blow
up the ship in this form or something?
Speaker 4 (07:50):
I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
I don't really know what stingrays can do.
Speaker 9 (07:53):
What if we swim toward the boat, I'll try to
stab it with my sword and then like we can
also try to use you like a javelin also.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
And I'll die. I think I want to do that.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
Okay, maybe not that.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Let's think of something else.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
We could throw you on board and scare them.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
But I can catch up with the boat now, so.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
I think so. So Crystal, while you're you're above water
and you're still talking to them, you begin feeling like
you can't breathe.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Oh shit, and I just like.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Duck down into the Yeah, as soon as you go
back in the water. You feel like you can breathe again.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Oh. I don't love this. I can't be a Mrmaid.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
I can't justim me for once.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Oh gosh, okay.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
It was funny. If you were a reverse mermaid.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
That would have been weird.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
But anyway, that wouldn't have helped me in the situation.
I wouldn't have been able to faster. Yeah, yeah, okay,
So I'm just gonna I guess I'm just gonna keep swimming.
And would I be able to take them with me?
I guess I'm not that big.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Yeah, you're not that big.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
I'm just gonna tell them I'm going to make for
the boat instead of so I feel like if I
wait any longer, it's gonna get out of range for me.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
All right, So you begin swimming for the boat, and
we switch back to uh Bentley and Richard on the
boat itself, and the pirate commander looks at you two again.
He says, I'm gonna give you one last chance. Jump
off now and leave us be and we let you live.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Richard, Richard, do you have any extra weapons?
Speaker 5 (09:47):
Extra weapons? I have this rape year No, no, no
need something I canna throw and I don't have anything
like that.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
M h.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
How close is the near stand to me?
Speaker 2 (10:00):
So they're gonna be about twenty feet away from you guys.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
All right, Are they like standing next to the edge
on the other side of the ship.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
I would they're not like right up on the railing,
but they're more towards the edge of the other side
of the ship. Yes.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
How far away from the other railing are.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
We from the other railing? I would say the ship
is gonna be about thirty five forty feet wide.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Damn hip my AGEP real fast. All right, I'm going
to like look at him. I'm gonna look at Richard
and I'm just gonna like push Richard over the railing
into the water.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
Okay, So Richard, do you put up no resistance?
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Richard's like I'm okay with this. So Richard swan dives
off the back of the railing into the water, and.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Then I'm gonna I'm gonna make a thrown weapon attack
towards I don't know, the closest.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
One, okay, like just the closest enemy. Yeah, okay, with
what weapon?
Speaker 3 (11:15):
A dagger?
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Okay, So make an attack roll.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
That would be decks because I'm throwing, right.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
So you can use strength for throwing. The dagger just
has an ability that allows you to use decks instead.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
No, I, oh that's a crit.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Okay, so that's two D four.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
And then I'm going to uh imbue the dagger with
thunderous smite.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Oh my god, go ahead and tell the rest of
the class what that does.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
So I get to do an extra two D six
thunder damage. Let me let me D four and then
they need to make a strength saving throw, will be
pushed ten feet back and mock pro knock one of
them off the ship.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Well, I'm what I'm gonna tell you. So that's just
for that one guy.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Yeah, just for that one.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
And keep in mind that's forty six because it's double dice.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
Oh right, yeah, So well, hopefully he survives on and
ask for him the question for us to question him.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Well, he got a one, so he is not gonna
be prone if there's any any life left in him,
would you.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Roll thunder twenty damage?
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Okay, so you basically cave in his entire torso with
your dagger as it blasts his dead corpse over the railing.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Well, that didn't work how I wanted it to.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
I'm just gonna is the pirate guy's like, what the hell?
Everyone shoot him.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
I'm just gonna lie lean backwards to try and like
dive off the boat.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Okay, So what I want you to do is you're
gonna make me an acrobatics. Check out gracefully you do
this as the as the guys with the guns on
you open fire because you threw a dagger and caved
in one of their friend's chests. It's thirteen, okay, does
(13:13):
a sixteen hit?
Speaker 3 (13:15):
No it doesn't.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Okay, so it'll eliminate that one, and that one an
eighteen that matches. Okay, Oh well that makes that easier. Okay,
so that is four hits. Let's see what happens. So
that's gonna be eleven and then, oh god, how much
how many hit points do you have left? Bentley? I okay,
(13:39):
will you take twenty four on the second volley?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Yeah, I'm I'm unconscious in the water next to Richard.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Now, so Richard shuts you off, and then he throws
his dagger try to be mister cool guy and shot
right to the chest and rolls off the back of
the railing and just plops into the water.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
You hear like a lightning strike, because it's like three
hundred feet can be heard.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
And so here's what we're dealing with now, Bentley, would
you remind the viewers what kind of armor you're wearing?
Speaker 5 (14:14):
All right?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
So, Richard, you see as Bentley begins sinking, what do
you do?
Speaker 5 (14:18):
Hold on?
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Let me?
Speaker 5 (14:19):
I know what I want to do, but I always
want to make sure that this will work real quick.
Does he have to be able to hear me for
the spell to work? I don't know, I don't know.
I just wanted to make sure. Yeah, so Richard is
like this fucking idiot. He is going to start swimming
down and try to like get to touch Bentley.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
To Okay, so that is a touch spell. So what
we're gonna do. I'm going to roll to determine how
far away he falls to you. Okay, that's not far,
So I need you to make an athletics check to
try to swim down to him.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
Yeah, okay, that's an eight.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Okay, so he is descending faster than you can get
to him.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
I feel that's going to be a saving.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
What I'm gonna yeah, so Bentley, go ahead and roll
a death saving throw? Oh no, did you fail?
Speaker 5 (15:15):
Oh no, that's.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
All right, Crystal. So it's about this time you come
leaving up. What do you do?
Speaker 4 (15:26):
I mean, I guess I can see him sinking, right yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Yeah, you see bent You you see better than you've
ever seen before. And you see Bentley sinking to the
bottom of the ocean.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
We can't be that deep right now because we're.
Speaker 6 (15:40):
Yeah yeah, yeah, you're you're.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
In the you're in the docks. You're only gonna be
about thirty feet down when he hits the ships to
be there.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
Yeah, I was gonna be like hundred feet deep into
the yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
No.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Also, keep in mind that you cannot cast spells want
wild Shaped?
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Well, okay, fine, can I lego of the wild Shape
like it?
Speaker 5 (16:11):
You can't? And I down to him and then wild Shape.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
I'm gonna swim down to too badly, and I'm gonna
undo the wild.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Shape I okay.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
So that will be either an action or a bonus action.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
Okay. And then I want to cast mold Earth as
a cantrip.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Is that having a verbal component?
Speaker 4 (16:36):
I don't think so. It doesn't mention anything about.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
He's trying to help you shut up.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Actually that's a good question. Does that have a verbal component. No,
it is only somatic that means hand gesture.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Yeah, it doesn't say anything about.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Yeah, there's no verbal component. What are you doing with
mold earth?
Speaker 9 (16:55):
I want to like like build a Hello, he'll like
or like like lift him up.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Okay, so you're gonna I'm gonna say there was already
a bit of earth jetting out from the ground. You're
gonna lift up a five foot cube of dirt that
is gonna stop Bentley about fifteen foot under the water.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Okay, And I'm gonna swim and then I'm gonna try
and drag his ass up. I mean, I know I'm
probably not gonna be successful.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
But like, okay, so I'm gonna say that you doing this,
you and Richard, you will be able to drag him up.
But but this is what.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Richard just needs to get close enough to touch him.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
So this is this is what's gonna happen. So he's
not falling any deeper. So Bentley, you have one death
saving throw to make and then Richard will be able
to get to you.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Where where's the rest of us?
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Now?
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Is there any way they can come help?
Speaker 2 (17:56):
So y'all are swimming, but you were you were a
little bit farther away. You guys are are going to
be out of reach on this one. Now, Bentley, I
am reminding you you have four good omens.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
All right. I kind of want to die just because
it would be funny.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Oh ship, that was a three. No, I'm just kidding.
You got an eleven, which is going to be just enough.
And uh so, next turn, yeah, next turn. Richard gets
to you and you were going to cast was it healing, healing,
cure wounds or whatever?
Speaker 5 (18:31):
As he had the surface, you guys are like, does
it have a verbal component? Cure wounds has a verbal component.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
I have like healing potions. He'd have to swallow them, though.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
What are you saying that healing potions don't work like
in Balter's Game three? Or you can just throw them
as someone to heal them.
Speaker 9 (18:53):
I don't know, is he actually did? I give my best, okay,
my best in my crystal, and I don't actually care
if Bentley dies.
Speaker 6 (19:07):
If so, if Tyler wants his character to.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Die, listen, listen in this one instance that Richard is
going to be okay to use his cure wounds to
keep Bentley from well for now, from dying. He's still
got to make it to the surface. We'll see what happens.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
But we say, if we use the bracelet, but he
can cast it through.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
The bracelet, We'll say, with the power of friendship, in
this one moment, he can do that. Because I'm not
giving you all a free pass to do that. The
rest of the campaign.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
We could do all of our spells silently because we.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
Can see affect the person that can hear the bracelet.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
And so so Bentley is stable. Go ahead and roll
your dice D eight.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
That's a six plus four so ten HP.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Okay, now let's see how this works. So, so a
creature can hold its breath a number of minutes equal
to one plus its constitution modifier. I should be fine then,
but you didn't get a full breath. So what is
your constitution modifier plus three plus three? Okay, I'm gonna
(20:17):
say they you guys. You guys have five rounds to
get Bentley to the surface. Along with Bentley's assistance.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Can't I just swim up?
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Actually, you make a good point. Fine, you guys are
at the surface.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
Decided that the heavy arbor nolar matters with my own strength,
las Meda.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Well, it's the difference of you being unconscious.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Yeah, it's it's you being unconscious. It's not just you
were unconscious. It's like then it's also and I'm not
saying this as like derogatorily, but just statistically, the two
weakest characters in the party are trying are trying to
drag your ass to the surface and your heavy ass
armor and so Bentley push off from the pillar of
(21:01):
dirt made by Crystal and everybody makes it to the
surface as you guys see the fleet of pirate ships
disappearing in the distance.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
For a second.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
It's about this time Taylor Jacobs and Amy Ann pull
up on the party.
Speaker 6 (21:20):
Are you guys okay?
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Yeah, we're fine. But did that guy get knocked off?
Is there a body?
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Oh yeah, there's definitely a dead body in the water
with like a dagger sticking out of it.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Damn it.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Do you feel that guy?
Speaker 3 (21:35):
I was trying to knock him off so that we
could question him, but I guess I don't know my
own shrink.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
See what I'm saying, bently, a license to kill. I'm
glad you're finally embracing it that.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
I'm so glad you guys are okay. That's crazy. It
seemed like there was a lot of gunfire. Richard, are
you bleeding? Are you okay?
Speaker 5 (22:00):
Richard is not okay?
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Oh my gosh, are there's sharks in these waters? We
probably should get going if you're bleeding.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Richard, No need to take this offline. Overworked and underplayed
will circle back after these messages. So Bentley, Bentley, in
your studies at the library, you would know that there
are people in the city that could potentially speak with
(22:27):
dead corpses.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Oh cool, So you're saying that we can. I can
use my medicame knowledge to accomplish this. Hey, guys, grab
that body. We might be able to get someone to
question it.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
You yourself, but you're just going to cast mage hands
is just going to drag the floating dead body.
Speaker 6 (22:52):
Richard can sit on Taylor's back.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
I'll allow it, kind of like it with the boy.
It's got a wait, yeah, yeah, Richard's in full tugboat mode.
All right. See you guys make it back to the docks,
and Bentley, you and Richard are able to pull the
body up onto the docks.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
All right. So now we need a lot of healing.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
I feel we need to know where they went.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
You see, as the Lord Protector is just kind of
standing there and was like, Sir Bentley, that was amazing.
I've never seen such feats of daring and bravery. And
you too, little Richard, your figure and the enthusiasm you showed.
(23:44):
They will speak of this for ages.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yeah, sure, thinks by the way you would hapen to
when anyone that could speak to dead people, would you?
Speaker 2 (23:53):
He says, I tell you what, why don't we return
to the keep and I will fetch my finest clerics
to help you all. You look a little beat up. Uh,
And he looks at Bentley goes, are you are you bleeding?
I'm fine, he looked down. There's just like blood pouring
from a few spots.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
It's just a flesh wound, just a scratch.
Speaker 6 (24:16):
Yes, he was.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Let us all return to the keep and we will
take stock in what has happened tonight.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
I think that's probably for the best, considering I'm out
of level one spells. Yeah, I have two level two spells,
though unfortunately level two spells with palatine. This seem kind
of useless except for upcasting smite.
Speaker 6 (24:40):
Why didn't we give Fizzle Baning a bracelet?
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Was that idea we had at some point we wanted
to give someone else.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Yeah, or we just didn't have enough, We didn't bracelets.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
You gave it to the captain for the down.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Line, or what would mont Yac know because he used
to be a pirate.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
We should probably bring him in.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Yeah, he might know these guys. He might know what happened.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
You want to go check on the crow's nest.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
We can just call him.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah, he's got the bracelet.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah, so you track calling him up, He replies back. Yes,
we are currently patching up the crow's nest right now.
A bit of a tussle, but nothing we couldn't handle. Huzzah.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
I'dn't like to hear.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
For a minute, I thought that was going to be
his voicemail and it was just gonna be like, hey,
do you know anything about these guys that just siege
the city for like five minutes?
Speaker 2 (25:41):
He said, yes, they were the minions of the Dreadlord pirate.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Bootleg dread Lord Bootleg.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Yes, he's a much yes, very unscrupulous. Has no he
has no common decency or respect for intellectual property. What'ssoever?
Speaker 1 (26:00):
That's funny, that's good. Okay, So what do you think
he wanted?
Speaker 2 (26:09):
I'm not certain they It was a very targeted attack,
very quick almost. It feels like they were looking for
something very specific. Did you see anything.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
They kidnapped Fizzle Bank.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
They kidnapped Fizzle Bank. Yes, we must get him back.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
We tried to. Crystal even turned into a Manta ray
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (26:35):
Yes, will you join us?
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I am not sure that I will be much assistance,
but I think I might know someone who can help
the artifice of Matteo. I believe that he can be
of assistance. You will need to depart fairly soon and
try to sneak into the headquarters of these pirates.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Okay, we've already proven that we can't sneak in places,
so this is probably not a good.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Mission for Okay, Crystal, I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
I messed it.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Next time, I will listen to you. I'm sorry, I'll
tell I'll tell you later. We'll talk about later. I
mesked up.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
So no, no, no, I'm sure whatever it was, it
was clearly her fault. Actually, Crystal is not questioning why
she laid around.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
So okay, So we get the information from Mateo, which
we already knew from Fizzle Bang.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
He gave us that info, So yeah, and the last
thing that uh, well, I'm sorry, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Oh no, I was gonna say, so, do you think
we need to leave like tonight?
Speaker 2 (27:42):
You would need to recuperate from our injuries, but I
would leave as soon as I could. They will be
retreating to the public domain. It is a dangerous place, lawless,
and you will find these minions of bootleg in this
place known only as the Pirate Bay.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Love bit Alex.
Speaker 5 (28:08):
Down before I say, is it one of those bays
that's not in the same location.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Yes, the Pirate Citadel is movable because from time to
time the Imperial Law Enforcement does send in a crew
to shut it down, and but they just pop up
somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
So what I'm hearing is the Pirate Bay is actually
a giant pirate ship.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
It's more of a concept than place, really, but it's
it can be found for those who seek it.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Cool, vague as usual.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
Okay, So, could we theoretically heal on boarder ship.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Potentially if we wanted to.
Speaker 6 (28:49):
Go ahead and like chase after him as.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Soon as you could. But the seas can be dangerous.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
Yeah, and I feel like Fizzle Bangs probably you know,
in some trouble, they're.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Probably pulling his fingernails off right now.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Yeah, that's so dark as you assume that's what they're doing.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Jesus Christ, is that what you do to people?
Speaker 1 (29:12):
No, I'm just saying it seems he's in danger.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
We've heard the stories.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
Goes to extraction.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
You seem very happy to just kill anyone.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
He says.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
I'll tell you what. I will send for Fabrizio Matteo
and see if he is see where he is, but
I'm not sure if he is even in the city tonight.
Speaker 9 (29:36):
They're gonna get further away if we let the if
we lose like twelve hours or whatever.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
I will see what I can do. I will send
for you as soon as I hear.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Word cool, we'll be at the Lord Protector's house.
Speaker 6 (29:55):
Hopefully he has new fancy because he's probably pretty sit now.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yeah, you guys, you guys have a montage where you're
getting back into your old digs, like, oh yeah, let's
do this.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
Not smelling like a harbor.
Speaker 9 (30:07):
You know, Taylors this new power where she flexes and
there's a ripple and something gets a little.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Damned wearing the same thing he was always wearing.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
So oh no, you smell like the bottom of him.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
You know, he got a new road. They cleaned his
armor up.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
I'm just imagining like Bentley standing in a stall and
there's just somebody with a pressure washer.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
That's exactly what had to have happened.
Speaker 5 (30:38):
I imagine there's a few dead pirates. I know, we
managed to take out a few of them, or even
a live pirates at the city. Some of the city
guards had to stop some pirates. We might be able
to get some pirate digs that we can use when
we get to the pirate bak rire.
Speaker 6 (30:53):
Yeah, I should probably do that.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
We need to take this body to They say, you
said the cleric was coming to us.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Yeah, yeah, OK. So let's see. Let me look this up.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
We'll be able to ask the corpse a couple of questions,
so you determine what we want to ask.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
Is that we're going to have a hilarious like honor
among the situation.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
So I will say, you guys managed to cobble together.
Oh god, that's the wrong word. You guys managed to
gather three pirate corpses. You can ask each one. You
can ask each one up to five questions.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
Oh cool, how.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
Did you become a pirate?
Speaker 3 (31:41):
No? Don't waste a question on something.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Sid so the cleric that the cleric comes down, he says, evening,
I've heard you in need of my services.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
He could could you cast speak with dead on these guys?
So you're trying to find out where their base operations is.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
And he says, one at a time, though we don't,
we don't. Three of them are thinking we're asking them
the same one question.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Yeah, yeah, just one other sign all right.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
So you see as he he gently places one of
the corpses on a table, and he breaks out some
incense and begins burning it, and you see as he
begins performing some holy writes and he says, he says,
this one, this one, yes, we will be able to
speak with this one, and then hold on his eye
(32:28):
cast the spell. And you see as he leans down
and like looks like he's getting ready to whisper something
in here and says hey, and the corpse just kind
of stands.
Speaker 10 (32:38):
Up, like sits it up and looks over at you.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Ask where the Pirate Bay is right now, I guess
would be the first question.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Oh, yes, the Pirate Bay our home. Uh you know
it does move from time to time, but uh, we
currently we are on the far eastern side of the
Azure Bay.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
All right, sure, we else we should ask why did
you take Fizzle Bang?
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Who's Fizzle Bang?
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Well, shit, why did you attack the city?
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Boss? Was looking for somebody?
Speaker 5 (33:29):
Any questions? Was that? That was three? So far?
Speaker 2 (33:30):
That was three questions. You've now asked four.
Speaker 6 (33:36):
It's one of those.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
He probably just wants to die again.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
He's just kind of he's just kind of looking back
and forth.
Speaker 6 (33:47):
If you were going to go about.
Speaker 9 (33:52):
Getting back at the pirates and stealing back the person
they stole, how would you go about it?
Speaker 2 (33:59):
Ah, Oh, that's a that's a very good question. I
would probably try to blend in, go incognito, and you see,
as the corpse collapses, we.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
Should ask where they store people.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
I feel like that's a little bit more important than
ask them if we should sneak into a pirate base.
A good thing.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
We have a bunch of corpse.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Intantly, the cleric says, are you ready for me to
perform the rights on the second corpse?
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Yes? Please?
Speaker 5 (34:30):
No, no, we're not.
Speaker 6 (34:35):
To get organized.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
I'm getting some conflicting information here.
Speaker 11 (34:39):
Just wait a second, okay, Richard will go ahead, Richard, Okay, Yeah,
We definitely need to not only figure out what questions
we need to ask, we need to figure out how
to ask them specifically, because like you know, like, oh,
can you do this thing?
Speaker 5 (34:53):
The guy's like, yeah, I can, and then doesn't do it.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
So here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna step away
for a couple of minutes and let you all get
questions together so I don't have time to come up
with witty responses.
Speaker 6 (35:05):
That's fair, thank you. All right, let the interrogation begin, right,
we need to put the chat.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
In uh.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
Here, I'll do it on my phone. I'll post it
into the recent pieces chat.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
Perfect, all right, mister cleric, we're ready.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
Okay, So he once again does all the rights and
everything leans down. Hey you sits up and it looks
straight at Bentley and he says, hey, hey, you're the
asshole that caved my chest in.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
I'm just not gonna respond because I'm not gonna screw
this off.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
I think Richard had some questions, turns its head.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
Yes, what your group leader, mister dread lord pirate boot like?
Is he working with anybody?
Speaker 2 (36:02):
He works with other pirates?
Speaker 5 (36:06):
Yeah? Classic, that's good. That's good. So we know he's
not a loner. Where do you guys keep the high
value captives that you've kidnapped.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
In the brig.
Speaker 5 (36:20):
So there's a one single brig where in your if? No, yes,
there's a piece of paper, there's a piece of paper. MM.
I hate the way, so I don't. I don't know
(36:41):
the rules of like will you do this versus that?
Can you do this? Or whatever? But anyway, where do
you guys keep the treasure specifically, like in your location,
not just in the treasure vault?
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Oh yes, that's uh. Well, each of the ships has
their own treasure hold. But at the at the lower
level of the of the pirate bay, there is the
grand vault. That's where Bootleg keeps his own private stash
(37:14):
stolen movies.
Speaker 5 (37:15):
Stolen movies. How many pirates and or other people under
his employ are in the pirate bay?
Speaker 2 (37:27):
He sees he holds up one of his hands and
holds up like a stump on the other arm, and
you see him like moving his fingers, and he goes,
I can't count that high.
Speaker 5 (37:42):
But you know how high you can count?
Speaker 2 (37:44):
I can count to twenty, he says, I do. I
do the fingers and I get to ten and then
I start over, and then when I get to the
end of that one, I try to do it again,
but I can't remember how many times I've done on it.
Speaker 6 (38:00):
So that's just relatable, honestly, why.
Speaker 5 (38:13):
I think that was fine?
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yeah, And you see as he collapses as soon as
he finishes describing his system of counting, and the cleric says,
shall I get the last one?
Speaker 5 (38:26):
I think someone else should ask? Richard's too frustrated to continue.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Yeah, sure, I'll do it this time.
Speaker 6 (38:31):
Yeah, please, I think so one second, how many did
we just do?
Speaker 2 (38:38):
You guys said five? I wasn't keeping track.
Speaker 6 (38:41):
I think I.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Think he skipped or didn't ask the one of the
joke ones that have been in there, So I think
that's why there's an extra one else got it? Yeah,
I think we're ready for the last one.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Hey, listen up, and he sees the corpse, sits up
and turns and it's just kind of eyes. He goes,
where am I?
Speaker 3 (39:07):
Is there a password to get.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
A password to get into the No? But you you
will need a you have to have a VPN.
Speaker 3 (39:17):
Okay, what is the best escape route to escape the
pirate bay should it be attacked by authorities?
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Well, in the event that's attacked by authorities. Uh, the
standard procedure is for all the ships to disconnect and
all head in different directions until we can reform somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
All right, why did your boss need to capture someone
from the city.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
I don't I don't know, I just work here.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
Has your group recently found any strange items that are
a source of great power that you might have heard
your boss talk about?
Speaker 2 (40:02):
He said something about this thumb he found, but other
than that, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Thumb maybe the thumb drive, but I don't know. Oh,
and last question, this was the most important. If I
kill your leader, do I become the leader of the pirates?
Speaker 5 (40:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
I'm not an expert in pirate code. Then he collapses.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
Well that was pointless. That was the most important question.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
So he saved it for last.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
And the cleric turns and he goes, will you be
needing my services for anything else?
Speaker 5 (40:38):
Did he heal us?
Speaker 6 (40:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:40):
You guys are you guys are healed up? They they
they fixed you guys up once you got back to
the castle.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
I know. I think I think we're good now. Thank
you for your help. I recognize the like which Goali serfs.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Which of the dragons, So this one would be I
actually pulled that up just in case you asked. So
one would be Maruda the selflessless cool if you don't mind, uh,
I mean, do you have any further use for these bodies?
Or shall I take them with me?
Speaker 6 (41:12):
What are you going to do with them?
Speaker 2 (41:14):
That's not important.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
I don't need their teeth.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
Okay, I think we're I think we're done with them.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Okay, excellent.
Speaker 6 (41:24):
What you're going to do with.
Speaker 5 (41:25):
Them, just bring this, just bring us their clothes, all right?
Speaker 2 (41:30):
So I will say that that it's pretty easy for
them to gather enough pirate stuff off of the dead
pirates to outfit you guys, if you so choose.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
Pirates that we saw or IM not gonna should ditch
my armor.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
There were no heavy armored pirates.
Speaker 9 (41:47):
I feel like you could find something that could cover, right,
like a big cloak something.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
Yeah, I'll just write like it is there like a
is there like a black curtain anywhere inside the.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Sure? Sure you make you a cloak to go.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
Over your armor, a black hooded cloak.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
Yeah, sure, the Royal tailors get right on it for you.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Can I wear an eye patch sure.
Speaker 6 (42:14):
Taylor's a hook hand.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
Can I go the opposite route and wear a straw hat?
Speaker 6 (42:21):
Is anyone doing a peg leg?
Speaker 4 (42:23):
All right?
Speaker 2 (42:24):
Are you all right? Let me guess Tyler, you're also
wanting stretchy arms.
Speaker 5 (42:31):
Some denim shorts and a red.
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Let's just change my entire character's power profile to just be.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Yeah, we're not doing that, all right?
Speaker 3 (42:42):
Piece, he just turned his body into fire and do
fire attacks.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
So after you guys finished questioning the pirates, Lord Longshaft
is gonna say there is an artificer downstairs named Matteo
that's to see you. He said he was sent by
Aiden Montiac.
Speaker 1 (43:01):
Yeah, and Montas I was Kevin in clutch, isn't he?
Speaker 6 (43:05):
He really is?
Speaker 2 (43:06):
He says, well, are the lots of you ready to depart?
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (43:12):
I think so? Can we send a message or do
we know how we can contact Dirtarian or Adrian?
Speaker 2 (43:19):
I think he said he'll find you will Okay?
Speaker 1 (43:22):
Yeah, but before we leave this continent, what don't we
still have some allies in prison?
Speaker 6 (43:31):
Should we break them out bring them with well?
Speaker 1 (43:33):
I mean, or just like have the Lloyd Protector maybe.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
Like Crystal allies in prison? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (43:41):
Oh, your your friends who are trying to get your
cell phone back. Yes, yes, we've. Due to the circumstances
of the fact there was a changeling and everything else,
we've released them.
Speaker 6 (43:56):
Okay, Okay, we should send them something.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yes, cinema of a fruit basket?
Speaker 3 (44:04):
Sorry?
Speaker 1 (44:07):
Yeah, should we contact Matt Damon about Fizzle Bang that
We'll be working remotely.
