Speaker 2 (00:16):
Hello and welcome to Palace Intrigue host Mark for Ancis.
It sounds like Meghan's Netflix cooking show is over, even
if she can't quite admit it. Meghan teesday new project
during her appearance at Fortune's Most Powerful Women's Summit in Washington, DC.
When asked whether fans could expect a third season of
With Love, Meghan the Duchess offered a cryptic answer that

(00:36):
seemed to hint it more to come. The holiday special
is coming out in November, and that's a really good one.
So we're able to say eight episodes for two seasons.
It's a lot of work. She went on to explain
that her team is now experimenting with short video content
instead of full length programming. I also recognize how much
people want content in different sizes. So part of what

(00:58):
we're testing out now is it's amazing to be able
to sit and watch a show for thirty minutes, But
how can I give you a recipe in two minutes?
And where can I share that with you? And how
that continues to grow as ever, so exploring all the
options of what it could look like. She compared her
deal to that of the Obamas, my husband and I
were in an overall deal with Netflix, and then not

(01:19):
just similar to higher ground in the Obama's deal. Once
that had come to its term, the extension of it,
which was such an incredible sign of the strength of
our partnership, was now being in a first look deal,
which is also exciting because it gives us flexibilities to
go to our partners first, and then at the same
time to be able to shop content that might not
be the right fit for Netflix, but as a home

(01:40):
somewhere else. So for our nonscripted team and our scripted team,
we've been doing a lot of content development that can
meet different rooms. Megan reflected on the period following her
and Prince Harry's moved to the United States, describing it
as the time of nesting and healing. The Duchess told
Fortune editor in chief Alison Chantell that when when they
first stepped back from royal life five years ago, there

(02:03):
was no master plan in place. You know, Archie was
so little, and I had just gotten pregnant with Lily
around the same time, so we were nesting and healing,
she said. And also I don't know I had the
bandwidth at the time to think about what the big
pictured dream was. There was no plan. It was just
let's get through these next couple of years create a community,
which was always so important to both of us in

(02:23):
our new environment. Those five years at home, I wasn't
running around wearing beautiful outfits. I was probably in broken
stocks and sweats like the rest of us, especially during COVID,
or just barefoot at home. But I was making a
lot of jams. So it ended up becoming the thing
that really was my passion project. Chantel noted Megan's well
wind travel schedule, saying, You've been to Europe. You were
just in New York, which, congratulations. You just won a

(02:45):
humanitarian award for your work with online safety for parents
and children, and you made it home for one day
to see your kids. Megan laughter replied because I had to.
Everyone said, oh, you must have gone from Paris straight
to New York. I said, no, I need to see
my babies, back to California for a day, and then
continued on. Royal commentator Phil Dampier has cast doubt on

(03:05):
Harriet Megan's latest recognition for humanitarian work, questioning how the
couple can be celebrated for their philanthropy while remaining estranged
from their own families. Speaking on the Sun's Royal Exclusive Show,
Dampier said, it does make me laugh when they get
these humanitarian awards. They can't even make peace with their
own families. She won't even see her own father, and

(03:28):
yet they are held up as these great philanthropists and humanitarians.
William and Kate did their best to distract the media
from the humanitarians by wearing tweed. The Prince and Princess
of Weals marked the arrival of autumn with an official
visit to Longmeadows side of Farm in Craigavon, Northern Ireland,
and their coordinated seasonal style once again drew admiration. Kate

(03:50):
and William stepped out in perfectly complimentary tones, embracing a
palette of deep greens and warm brown's ideal for the
crisp October weather. The Princess chose a forest green jacket
paired with dark trousers and boots, while the Prince echoed
her look with a brown coat lay it over a
green sweater. Their understated coordination, always in sync without ever
looking overdone, has become something of a royal signature. The

(04:12):
couple's relaxed yet polished appearance matched the setting perfectly as
they toured the side of farm, learned about local production,
and met with workers and community members to celebrate the
region's harvest season. It was, in short, a quintessentially autumnal outing,
full of color, charm and quiet royal confidence. But we
still talked about Megan first in the podcast. Palace intrig

button up top there on the Apple Player that says
listen uninterrupted. We really appreciate the support. William was said
to be facing a growing royal crisis, with a pool
of working family members of shrinking and public demand for
royal appearances remaining high. Royal commentator Christopher Wilson suggests Lady
Louise wins Up, the twenty one year old daughter of
Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie, could be tapped to fill

(05:40):
the gaps. Wilson described Lady Louise as a dark horse
contender who charms all who meet her, and could be
a decorative and useful asset to the royal team. However,
you know that her mother remains vastly protective and may
prefer to keep her daughter out of the spotlight. Her parents,
the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, have long been deliberate
about giving both Louise and a brother, James, as normal

(06:02):
life as possible, despite being entitled to royal titles as
grandchildren of the late Queen. Know that users the HRH style.
Soph he explained The Times in twenty twenty. We try
to bring them up with the understanding that they are
very likely to have to work for a living. Hence
we made the decision not to use HRH titles. William
has unwittingly turned a centuries old Windsor pub into a

(06:24):
tourist hotspot after enjoying a quiet pint there. During his
recent appearance on The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy, the
Prince was filmed sharing a relaxed drink with the Schit's
Creek star at the Two Brewers, an eighteenth century pub
just a short walk from Windsor Castle. Since the episode
aired on Apple TV, visitors from as far afield as
the United States, Germany, and Japan have been flocking to

(06:46):
the spot, eager to sit with the future king once
enjoyed his cider. Landlord Stuart O'Brien said, the table where
the Prince sat has already been dubbed the throne by guests.
I think I may have to get a plaque made
and put it up on the day. Well now, he joked,
some people have already been in, specifically because they saw
the program and knew about the pub. I'm sure people
will love coming here to sip where the future King

(07:07):
had a drink. O'Brien revealed that William stepped on a
seven pound fifty pints of Inches cider, while Levy opted
for a Guinness. It really was a privilege to have
him here in the pub. It was such a lovely guy,
he said. And there you have it. Like to email
