Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hello and welcome to Pallace Intrigue game host Mark Francis.
King Charles made a rare joint appearance with Prince William
at the Natural History Museum in London, where the pair
announced that the Prince of Wales will represent his father
at the COP thirty Climate Summit in Brazil next month.
The event marked six weeks until world leaders gather in
(00:37):
Bellem and it will be the first time William attends
a COP summit overseas. He will already be in Brazil
for the Earthshot Prize Awards in Rio on November fifth,
and will travel north to deliver a speech at the
environmental conference, widely seen as a major step in his
evolution as a global statesman. The King, who continues his
cancer treatment, was joined by William and meeting environmental leaders,
(00:59):
innovators and students working to combat climate change. Some are
taking this as another sign in the shift in power
and the Charles may not be healthy and the Royalist
Tom Sykes used the word horrified when describing photos of
the event, writing while the British media are faithfully towing
that line, I feel sure that when people see the
pictures popping up on their news feeds. It's impossible to
(01:21):
look at these images without seeing how much King Charles
health has declined. The man's suit is falling off him.
Charles has shown extraordinary courage. He has been an example
to millions living with cancer, proving that one can keep working,
engaging and enjoying life. In many ways. Nothing has animated
him more than doing his job of being king. But
the attempt to play down the severity of his condition
(01:45):
is becoming totally unsustainable. As I have noted before, the
BBC and the mainstream British media have been compliant to
the Pallace's Orwellian Ministry of truth style counter factual agenda.
It's not just cowardice. They are bound by privacy laws
that emerge from the Levison inquiry. Under those rules, the
media cannot publish details of someone's health without consent. A
(02:08):
senior editor once explained to me that even if they
knew the King had bladder cancer, he does not, they
could not report it. I'm afraid I don't see how
the health of the head of state of a hereditary
monarchy is not a valid matter of public interest. Some
call it ghoulish. I call it reporting. The death of
kings is, after all, one of the oldest subjects in literature.
(02:29):
Shakespeare's history plays, Hillary Mantell's wolf Hall Trilogy, Game of Thrones, power, succession, mortality.
The themes are eternal. The intelligence I am getting from
sources close to the King is that he remains intellectually
sharp and full of enthusiasm, but tires quickly. He is
sent to sleep far more than he used to. Friends
describe him as still brilliant but exhausted. The Palace, meanwhile,
(02:51):
is quietly engaged in what it calls demise planning. The
funeral arrangements have been, as one would expect, refreshed. Those
of us who whose reading extends beyond the work of
the royal wrotea no, for example, that Harry and Meghan
will not be excluded. In fact, they will be invited
to play a prominent role when the day comes. Prince
(03:12):
William was visibly moved during an emotional conversation about the
impact of suicide released today. In a new video to
mark World Mental Health Day, the Prince of Wales visits
the home of Rhianne Mannings from Cardiff, who lost her
one year old son George in twenty twelve, and just
five days later her husband Paul, who took his own life.
(03:32):
Since then, Rhiann has founded the bereavement charity to Wish,
which supports families affected by the sudden and unexpected death
of a child or a young person. Over Tea and
Welsh Cake's Rihann spoke candidly about grief lost and the
need for more open conversations around suicide. Rhiann recalled the
deep stigma she faced at the time, saying I was
quite surprised by it. I had never been touched by suicide.
(03:55):
It was something that happened in the news. Nobody would
talk about it or say what happened, and I found
that really confusing. At the time, as Brion described how
she still goes over her husband's final days, wondering what
she missed, she said quietly, There's only one thing I
would have ever said to him if I had the
time with him, and that would be, why didn't you
speak to me? Because he has missed out on just
so much joy and we would have been okay. And
(04:17):
I think that's what the hardest thing is. We would
have been okay. William appeared overcome with emotion and paused
before asking his next question. When Rhiann asked if he
was all right, he admitted softly. Sorry, it's hard to
ask you all these questions. She replied, I know it's hard.
You've experienced loss yourself. Reflecting on the conversation, the Prince said,
the best way to prevent suicide is to talk about it.
(04:38):
Talk about it early, talk about it with your loved ones,
with those you trust. So thank you for talking about it.
The video coincides with the launch of the Royal Foundation's
New Suicide Prevention Network, a major initiative there by William
and the Princess of Wales. Backed by one million pounds
in funding and more than twenty partner organizations, including two
wish the network aims to address the room causes of
(05:00):
suicide and ensure better access to support across the UK.
Prince William said the incredible partners who formed this network
reach those at risk of or affected by suicide with
their inspirational work. Their efforts reaffirm the urgent mission of
the National Suicide Prevention Network to build a bold, unified
national response to the heartbreaking and preventable tragedy of suicide.
(05:24):
Prince Harry and Meghan Michael were honored in New York
City as Humanitarians of the Year, using their acceptance speech
to warn about the danger's children face online at the
Project Healthy Minds, Gala, Meghan told the audience, Luckily they're
still too young for social media, but we know that
day is coming. Like so many parents, we think constantly
about how to embrace technologies benefits while safeguarding against its dangers,
(05:46):
and that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.
Harry called online exploitation one of the most pressing issues
of our time, urging collective action to protect families in
the digital age. These families not only up against corporations
and lobbyists, many of whom spend tens of millions of
dollars every year in suppressing the truth, but also algorithms

The reason the Waleses are coming. Locals near the six
hundred and eighty acre wins at Great Park Estate have
been doing some huffing about the creation of a huge
no go zone to shield Prince William and Kate. The
Prince and Princess of Wales and their family in their
new home, Forest Lodge, drawing attention to the covert and
(08:41):
not so covert measures that keep the royal family safe.
It's a rare insight into part of a royal life
that absolutely no one in or near a palace will
ever comment on the secret tactics, plans, and everyday things
used to shield them. Details of the operation to get
their new home ready for senior royal occupation reveal the
serious work required to make it safe enough for two
future Kings and Prince Louis, varied assortment of la booboos

to call home. To obscure the view of the lodge,
extra trees have been planted. This is not the first
time some strategic shrubbery has been deployed by the Waleses.
In twenty seventeen, they spent about forty thousand dollars of
taxpayer money to plant mature trees to shield a bit
of open green space for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Then in twenty nineteen they spent about thirty thousand dollars
(09:27):
to install a nine hundred and fifty feet long hedge
to block peeping tourists snapping them coming and going via
Royal helicopter, also helping keep the Waleses safe. The s
space over Windsor is restricted and the police who guard
the Royal family today are far from your usual plods.
Their training includes having to complete a Specialty Protection driver's
