Speaker 8 (04:47):
Listen kindly to our prayers, Oh Lord, And as our
faith and your son raised from the dead, is deepened,
so may our hope of resurrection for your departed servants
also find new strength through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your
son who lives and reigns with you in the unity
(05:07):
of the Holy Spirit God forever and ever.
Speaker 9 (05:12):
Amen, are reading from the Book of Wisdom. The souls
of the just are in the hand of God, and
no torment shall touch them.
Speaker 8 (05:24):
They seemed in the view of.
Speaker 9 (05:25):
The foolish to be dead, and their passing away was
thought of and affliction, and they're going forth from us
utter destruction. But they are in peace. For if in
the sight of others. Indeed they be punished. Yet is
their hope full of immortality. Chastise a little. They shall
(05:46):
be greatly blessed. Because God tried them and found them
worthy of himself as gold in the furnace. He proved
them as sacrificial offerings. He took them to himself in
the time of their visitation. They shall shine and shall
dart about as sparks through stubble. They shall judge nations
(06:09):
and rule over peoples. And the Lord shall be their
king forever. Those who trust in him shall understand truth,
and the faithful shall abide with him in love. Because
grace and mercy were with his holy ones, and his
care is with the elect. The word of the Lord.
Speaker 10 (06:34):
God is my sheph God.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
There is love.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
My show.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
The Lord is my shirt. Ver is.
Speaker 7 (07:10):
My should.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
The Lord is my shepherd.
Speaker 11 (07:16):
There is nothing I shall want first and breen are
the passers where.
Speaker 12 (07:21):
He gives me reports near.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Us a lotters, He leads me.
Speaker 12 (07:28):
He revives my soul.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
O Lord is my sird. There is not really my shirt.
Speaker 9 (07:57):
Reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Roman womans,
brothers and sisters, Hope does not disappoint because the love
of God has been poured out into our hearts through
the Holy Spirit that has been given us. For Christ,
while we were still helpless, died at the appointed time
(08:18):
for the ungodly. Indeed, only with difficulty does one die
for a just person. One might, though perhaps for a
good person, one might even find courage to die. But
God proves his love for us, and that while we
were sinners, Christ died for us. How much more then,
(08:43):
since we are justified by His blood, will we be
saved through Him from the wrath? If indeed, while we
were enemies, we were reconciled to God through this son,
the death of his son, how much more once ran reconciled,
will we be saved by his life. Not only that,
(09:05):
but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now received reconciliation. The word of
the Lord.
Speaker 12 (09:17):
To God, All.
Speaker 8 (09:48):
The Lord be with you your sit reading from the
Holy Gospel. According to John lud Jesus said to the
crowds everything saying that the Father gives me will come
to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes
to me, because I came down from heaven not to
(10:11):
do my own will, but the will of the one
who sent me. And this is the will of the
one who sent me, that I should not lose anything
of what he gave me, but that I should raise
it on the last day. For this is the will
of my father, that everyone who sees the Son and
(10:34):
believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall
raise him up on the last day.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
The Gospel of the Lord is Lord Jesus Christ.
Speaker 8 (10:57):
Well, today we celebrate this a beautiful feast of all souls.
And if you don't mind, I'd like to read to
you a short poem that I've used for my own meditation,
but I always use for a funeral mass. It goes
like this, Who's written in the twelfth century. 'tis a
(11:21):
fearful thing to love what death can touch, To love,
to hope, to dream, and oh to lose a thing
for fools, this love. But a holy thing to love
(11:41):
what death may touch. I suppose as all of us,
I'm sure all of us who are celebrating this mass
together here or through television, we feel today within ourselves
which beautiful memories of those who have gone before us
(12:05):
and who we hold sacred within us. The tenderness of
our memories that impel us maybe to hope and to live.
I find this feast very comforting. Like yesterday was all
(12:25):
saints and that's good, you know, but it's like that's
a big expectation to try to live up to.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
But all souls, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (12:38):
It's somewhat consoling, I think, because it means that, however
imperfect any one.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
Of us are, there's hope for eternal life.
Speaker 8 (12:52):
That getting eternal life doesn't require a special sort of sanctity.
It that we do the best we can and God
is able.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
You know.
Speaker 8 (13:07):
I've told you a million stories over the last repeated
them probably tons of times about Calvary and death. But
I I just love you know, so often when people
are right before death, I mean, it's they holding their
hands up and it's like the communion of their families
(13:30):
and saints, their mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters,
people that they've known all their lives who have gone
before them, ment.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
Just coming. You know.
Speaker 8 (13:41):
It's people say, oh, maybe it's the brain waves or
whatever it is. I don't think so. I think our
faith tells us that that's the communion of saints. It's
the communion of souls who come to tell us not
to be afraid and to welcome us. So maybe today,
in remembering the we've gone before us, grieving their loss,
(14:04):
loving what death can touch, and yet at the same
time holding them in tenderness, that.
Speaker 5 (14:12):
Imperfect love is our way to heaven.
Speaker 8 (14:17):
None of us does it completely right. We forgive each other,
we are grateful for each other. We hold each other
in reverence, and we light those candles for the souls
who have gone before us.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
Amen. Amen.
Speaker 8 (14:47):
I believe in one God, the Father, Almighty, maker of
heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I
believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son
of God, born of the Father before all ages, God
from God, Light, from Light to God from Tor, God
(15:08):
be gotten, not made con substantial with the Father. Through him,
all things were made for us sin for our salvation.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
He came down from heaven and by.
Speaker 8 (15:19):
The Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and
became man for our sake. He was crucified under punschious pilot.
He suffered death and was buried and rose again on
the third day. In accordance with the scriptures, he hascended
into heaven and is seated at the right hand of
the Father.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
He will come again.
Speaker 8 (15:40):
In glory to judge the living and the dead, and
his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the
Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, proceeds from
the Father and the Son, who with the Father and
the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through
the prophets. I believe in one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
(16:02):
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and
I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and
the life of the world to come.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
Amen.
Speaker 8 (16:13):
God cares We're all in need. So we ask God
to hear our prayers this day.
Speaker 9 (16:20):
Our response is, Lord, hear our prayer. We pray in
a special way for w. David Guthrie, the intention for
this mass today. We pray to the Lord, Lord, hear
our prayer. We pray in thanksgiving for the sponsor of
our mass today, Leland Lopez, and we pray for her
(16:42):
special intentions for this mass, the total and complete healing
of the breast cancer of Joshulyn Rodell. We pray to.
Speaker 8 (16:52):
The Lord Lord hear our prayer.
Speaker 9 (16:55):
We pray for the intentions of our benefactors, the intentions
of our mass faith community that will be placed next
to the altar. And for all who are in need
of prayer this day we pray to.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
The Lord our prayer.
Speaker 8 (17:12):
Gracious God, your care and concern is everlasting. Receive our
prayers and respond to them out of your merciful love
through Christ, Our Lord.
Speaker 13 (17:32):
Come read your virgeons to God. Come breed yourbeden to God.
Came breed your murgeons.
Speaker 8 (17:47):
To God, O Jesus, Mad surgeon.
Speaker 11 (17:52):

Speaker 7 (18:08):
Breed yours Chod.
Speaker 14 (18:13):
Jesus will up say cheese, sac breed your urgens to God.
Speaker 12 (18:24):
For Jesus. Well say.
Speaker 8 (18:37):
And praise this as and brothers, that my sacrifice and
yours may be acceptable to God, Our Almighty Father, mid.
Speaker 9 (18:45):
Lord, except the sacrifices your hands for the praise and
glory doesn't mean for our good good A most.
Speaker 8 (18:51):
Holy Church look favorably on our offerings, Oh Lord, so
that your departed servants may be taken up into with
your Son, in whose great mystery of love we are
all united, who lives and reigns forever and ever. The
Lord be with you. Lift up your hearts. Let us
(19:16):
give thanks to the Lord, our God. It is truly
right and just our duty and our salvation always and
everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father, Almighty and
Eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. In him, the hope
of blessed resurrection has dawned, that those saddened by this
(19:37):
certainty of dying may be consoled by the promise of
immortality to come. Indeed, for your faithful Lord, life is changed,
not ended. And when this earthly dwelling turns to dust,
and eternal dwelling is made ready for them in heaven.
And so with angels and dark angels, with thrones and dominions,
(20:00):
and with all the hosts and powers of heaven, we
sing the hymn of Your Glory, as without end we acclaim.
Speaker 7 (20:10):
Oh God, Heaven, Glory, Oh snag levy, who come see
(20:35):
the name of the Lord, Oh sne.
Speaker 8 (20:45):
You are indeed, Holy, O Lord, the fount of all
holiness and holy. Therefore these gifts we pray by sending
down Your spirits upon them like the dow fall, so
that they may become for us the body and blood
of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the time he was
betrayed and entered willingly into his passion. He took bread, and,
giving thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying,
(21:09):
take this all of you, indeed of it, for this
is my body which will be given up for you.
In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took
the chalice, and, once more, giving thanks, he gave it
to his disciples, saying, take this all of you, and
(21:33):
to drink from it, for this is the chalice of
my blood, the blood of the New and eternal Covenant,
which will be poured out for you and for many
for the forgiveness of sins.
Speaker 5 (21:46):
Do this in memory of me, Oh mister, ree of.
Speaker 11 (22:00):
Us see your Lord by your cross.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Ust As.
Speaker 8 (22:15):
Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of His death and resurrection,
we offer you Lord, the bread of life and the
chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us
worthy to be in your presence and minister to you humbly.
We pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit. Remember, Lord,
(22:38):
your Church, spread throughout the world and bring her to
the fullness of charity. Together with Leo our Pope, and Robert,
our Bishop, and all the clergy. Remember also our brothers
and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of
the resurrection, and all who have died in your mercy,
(22:59):
welcome them into the light of your face. Have mercy
on us all. We pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God, with Blessed Joseph her spouse, with the
blessed Apostles, and all the saints who have pleased you
throughout the ages, we may merit to be coeres to
eternal life, and may praise and glorify you through your
(23:23):
Son Jesus Christ, through him and with him and in Him,
Oh God, Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
All glory and honor is yours forever and ever. And
(24:01):
that the Savior's command and form. By divine teaching, we
dare to say, our Father, who art in heaven Hell,
would be thy name, thy Kingdom. Come, Thy will be
done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us
this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
(24:22):
as we forgive those who trespass against us, And lead
us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Speaker 5 (24:30):
Deliver us.
Speaker 8 (24:30):
Lord, we pray from every evil, Graciously grant peace in
our days, that by the help of your mercy we
may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
as we await the blessed hope and the coming of
our Savior, Jesus Christ. For there yours, Lord, Jesus Christ,
(24:53):
who set to your apostles peace.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
I leave you my peace.
Speaker 8 (24:56):
I give you look not on our sins, but on
the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace
and unity in accordance with your will.

us peace. Behold the Lamb of God. Behold him who
takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those
called to the supper of the lamb.
Speaker 15 (25:49):
