sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
Lord Jesus, you raise us to new life. Lord have mercy. Lord,

Lord Jeesus, you forgive us our sins. Christ Have Lord Jesus,
you feed us with your body and blood. Lord have mercy,
the Male Mighty God of mercy on us. Forgive us
our sins and bring us to life everlasting Glory to
God in the Highest and on earth. Peace to people

your great glory. Lord God, Heavenly King, O God, Almighty Father,
Lord Jesus, Christ only be godden Son, Lord God, Lamb
of God, the Son of the Father. You take away

(03:39):
the sins of the world. Have mercy on us. You
take away the sins of the world. Receive our prayer.
You are seated at the right hands of the Father.
Have mercy on us, for you alone are the Holy One.
You alone are the Lord. You alone are the most
High Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spere in the glory

(04:01):
of God the Father. Amen. Let us pray, O, God,
who founded all the commands of your sacred law upon
love of you and of our neighbor, grant that by
keeping your precepts we may merit to retain eternal life
to our Lord, Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and

(04:22):
reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit God,
forever and ever.

Speaker 12 (04:29):
A reading from the book of the prophet Amos. Hear this,
you who trample upon the needy and destroy the.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Poor of the land. When will the new moon be over?

Speaker 12 (04:41):
You ask that we may sell our grain and the sabbath,
that we may display the wheat. We will diminish the epha,
add to the shekel, and fix our scales for cheating.
We will buy the lowly for silver, and the poor
for a pair of sandals. Even the refuse of the

(05:05):
wheat we will sell. The Lord has sworn by the
pride of Jacob, never will I forget a thing that
they have done the.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
The Lord be blast both know and foreverble.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Pray.

Speaker 12 (06:21):
A reading from the First Letter of Saint Paul to Timothy.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Beloved.

Speaker 12 (06:28):
First of all, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions, and
thanksgivings be offered for everyone, for kings and for all inauthority,
that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in
all devotion and dignity. This is good and pleasing to God,

(06:50):
our Savior, who wills everyone to be saved and to
come to knowledge of the truth. For there is one God.
There is also one mediator between God and men, the
man Jesus Christ, who gave himself as ransom for all.

(07:10):
This was the testimony at the proper time for this
I was appointed preacher and apostle. I am speaking the truth.
I am not lying, teacher of the gentiles, in faith
and in truth. It is my wish then, that in
every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands

(07:35):
without anger or argument, the word.

Speaker 8 (07:39):
Of the Lord.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Ah they do yah ah la lou yaw ahao yah ah.

Speaker 8 (08:15):
The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel.
According to Luke, Jesus said to his disciples, the person
who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy
in great ones. And the person who is dishonest in

(08:37):
very small matters is also dishonest in great ones. If therefore,
you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth, who will trust
you with true wealth? If you are not trustworthy with
what belongs to another, who will give you what is yours.

(09:00):
No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate
one and love the other, or be devoted to one
and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon. Sisters, brothers,
the Gospel of the Lord Crazy Lords. So not too

(09:32):
many years ago, when I was in my late twenties,
I was stationed at a passionist retreat house for teenagers
on Shelter Island, and there were about nine or ten
of us in the community. We were all doing youth work.
We were all relatively young, and I was made the superior,

(09:57):
the rector of this community, and I was trying to
really do a good job, and of course I wanted
to be liked. And there was an old man who
was our named Rocco. He was our caretaker for fifty years,
and as an old man, now well into his eighties,
he sat at a kitchen table in the retreat house

(10:19):
dining room and I was walking by one day and
he said to me a father Bob. He was an
Italian immigrant. He said, could you take some advice from
an old man? So I said, yeah, sure, Rocco, he says,
you say yes too much. He says, sometimes you got

(10:40):
to say no. Or I think about He says, this way,
they know who's the boss. You trust too much? You know,
this was doing a rather serious damage to myself as
a street smart Brooklyn kid. You trust too much, sometimes

(11:05):
you have to say no. I guess you know, Rocko
I taught me a lesson in life. He was an
old man and he was very wise. And I guess
maybe the Gospels and the first reading from the prophet
Amos is kind of telling us the same thing. It'll

(11:25):
be careful who you trust. Some of us probably have
been heard in life. Maybe we trusted too much, maybe
betrayals or infidelities, or somebody who has handled our money

(11:46):
or our work, or you know, we put our trust
in politicians and institutions and they let us down. Maybe
we trust too much, But I honestly don't think that
in the deeper realm of the spiritual life. That's really

(12:06):
what the Gospels are trying to teach us today, not
to trust. Maybe the real question is who do you trust?
Who in your life? Do you trust those people in
our life maybe spouse, maybe best friend that we know

(12:29):
that we can be vulnerable with the secrets of our hearts,
our deepest desires. They help us to put a mirror
to ourselves and see ourselves the way they see us.
They're a wonderful gift. And you know, if we have
two or three of those in our lifetime, we are
really really blessed. It leads us also to ask a

(12:54):
question do I trust God? You know, when I was
working at Calvi, I'm always telling stories about Calvary, But
a woman who was in there as a patient dying
and said, you know, can I trust God? Can I
trust that God is really going to be merciful to me?

(13:17):
And I said, I don't know, But what choice do
we have but to trust God? And like, maybe the
second reading tells us just to live our lives somehow
in tranquility and prayer and a practice of life and
just keep on moving forward. What else can we do
but trust God that God's not out to get us,

(13:41):
That God is out to bring us fully to ourselves,
even the places in our life, especially the places in
our life where we're very vulnerable and wounded and maybe
even afraid, to that God we can give our ourselves. Amen.

Speaker 14 (14:03):
Amen.

Speaker 8 (14:14):
I believe in one God, the Father, Almighty, maker of
heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I
believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son
of God, born of the Father before all ages. God
from God Light, from Light, through God, from tru God

(14:34):
forboten not made God substantia with the Father. Through him,
all things were made for us men and for our salvation.
He came down from heaven and by the Holy Spirit
was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man for
our sakes. He was crucified under punches pilot. He suffered
death and was buried and rose again on the third day.

(14:57):
In accordance with the scriptures, he ascended into heaven and
is seated at the right hand of the Father. He
will come again in glory to judge the living and
the dead. And this Kingdom will have no end. I
believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
proceeds when the Father and the Son. With the Father
and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken

(15:21):
through the prophets. I believe in one Holy Catholic and
Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen, let
us lift up all people, especially the poor and those
in need, as we place our prayers in God's merciful

(15:44):
and loving hands.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Our response is Lord, hear our prayer.

Speaker 8 (17:57):
And praise, sisters and brothers, that my sacrifice and yours
may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.

Speaker 10 (18:08):
The praise.

Speaker 8 (18:13):
Received with favor, O Lord. We pray the offerings of
your people, that what they profess with devotion and faith
may be theirs through these heavenly mysteries. Through Christ, our Lord,
the Lord be with you and lift up your hearts.

Speaker 10 (18:32):
The Lord.

Speaker 8 (18:32):
Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God. It
is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation
always and everywhere, to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father,
Almighty and Eternal God, for you so love the world
that in your mercy you sent us the Redeemer, to
live like us in all things but sin, so that

(18:55):
you might love in us what you loved in your son,
by whose obedience we have been restored to those gifts
of yours that by sinning we had lost in disobedience.
And so Lord, with all the angels and saints, we
too give you thanks as an exultation.

Speaker 14 (19:13):
We acclaim, Oh.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Lessius, see the name of the.

Speaker 9 (19:43):
Oh.

Speaker 8 (19:49):
You are indeed holy, Oh Lord, the fount of all holiness.
Make holy. Therefore these gifts we pray by sending down
your spirits upon them like the dew fall, so that
they may become for us the body and blood of
our Lord Jesus Christ. At the time he was betrayed
and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread, and,

(20:11):
giving thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciple, saying,
take this all of you, and eat of it, for
this is my body which will be given up for you.
In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took

(20:32):
the chalice, and once more, giving thanks, he gave it
to his disciples, saying, take this all of you and
drink from it. For this is the chalice of my Blood,
the blood of the New and eternal Covenant, which will
be poured out for you and for many for the
forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of Mere.

Speaker 10 (21:01):
Of Sea must save the Word, Oh my good process.

Speaker 8 (21:12):
Su And therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of His
death and resurrection, we offer you Lord, the bread of
life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you
have held us worthy to be in your presence and
minister to you humbly. We pray that, partaking of the

(21:35):
body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into
one by the Holy Spirit. Remember Lord, your Church, spread
throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity,
together with Leo our Pope, and Robert our Bishop, and
all the clergy. Remember also our brothers and sisters who

(21:56):
have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection, and
all who have died in your mercy, welcome them into
the light of your face. Have mercy on us all.
We pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
with Blessed Joseph her spouse, with the blessed Apostles, and

(22:17):
all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
we may merit to be coeres to eternal life, and
may praise and glorify you through your Son Jesus Christ,
Through him and with him and in Him, Oh God,
Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all

(22:41):
glory and honor is yours forever and now, at the

(23:01):
Savior's command and form. By divine teaching, we dare to say,
our Father, Father, who art in Heaven, Hello, be thy name,
thy Kingdom.

Speaker 14 (23:12):
Come.

Speaker 8 (23:12):
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us
our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, Graciously grant

(23:33):
peace in our days, that by the help of your
mercy we may be always free from sin and safe
from all distress. As we await the blessed hope and
the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Speaker 11 (23:47):
For the kingdom and the glory are yours.

Speaker 8 (23:50):
Now, Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles peace,
I leave you my peace. I give you look not
on our sins, but on the faith of your Church,
and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with
your will. Who live in rain forever and ever. Peace
of the Lord be with you always. Let us offer

(24:13):
each other a sign of peace. Everybody, thank you, Lamb
of God, you take away the sin of the world.
Have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away
the sin of the world. Have mercy on us. Lamb
of God, you take away the sin of the world.

(24:35):
Grant us peace. And behold the Lamb of God. Behold
him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed
are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
