"Gaia" is a term used to refer to the personification of Earth in Greek mythology. Gaia, also known as Gaea, was considered the Mother Earth goddess and was believed to have given birth to the Earth and all the Universe. In myths, she is the primal mother figure, emerging at the creation of the universe, and is seen as the Earth itself — the source of all life.
