Now sit back and strap in because on the line
with us today we have Geneva s Rivers. Now we're

(00:53):
gonna be discussing her book, Let Us Change the World.
It's Amazon, it's Barnes and Noble, Man, it is a
whole lot of other places. Type it into a search
bar and let that begin, because this is one you're
gonna want to add to your shelf and listen. It
is a true pleasure to have Geneva here on the line. Man, Listen, people.

(01:14):
What if changing the world starts with unlearning everything we've
been taught. That's a big question, man, and it's something
that has so much power and actually a lot of validity.
In her book, Let Us Change the World, Geneva doesn't
just challenge our habits, man, she exposes the hidden ways

(01:39):
that we've strayed from God's design and how course correcting
could rewrite our future. Geneva first and foremost welcome to
people of distinction, and thank you very much for being here.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
How you doing today, and thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
For having me Absolutely, Geneva, We're looking forward to this.
I think your book it's a challenge, but it's a
challenge in the best of ways. Right. It really is
designed to help all of us grow and come together
and listen. Just that unity notion is something that seems

(02:19):
to be in very short supply nowadays. When you look
at our country that we're currently dealing with, and also
the world, man, there is so much division and for
the massive following that Christianity possesses, I'm often left asking myself,
is this the world that God had in mind?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Is this the world that the Bible preaches? Because there's
not a whole lot of loving thy neighbor. That seems
to be happening right now. So I'm here for it.
I'm looking forward to the benefit that this book is
going to be able to offer. Let's jump right in.
Let us change the world. Tell us more about it.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
The scripture us know that everything God made was good,
actually said it was very good. But it's not good anymore.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
My follow up now than Geneva. I love the title
because listen, it suggests collective action, and as I mentioned
in my opening, there is just a very short supply
of unity happening right now. I want to know why
do you believe personal transformation alone isn't enough to create

(03:29):
a God ordained world?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yes, it is of the verse. God would x of
us unless you give the US the ability reduce, because
it will take all of us. One or two can't
do it to take the whole world.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
In order to do Okay, I'm curious, now, in a
world that's full of distractions and conflicting values, what's the
most deceptive habit or believe that people don't even really
lies that they've adopted, but it really is contrary to
everything that is believed to be God.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
You have to change our belief and focus on God first.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Okay, Geneva. If someone picked up your book and they
applied just one principle from your book, which one would
you say would have the biggest ripple.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Effect to know the word of God and to live
a calling to the fact that but everyone knows that
what God requires and take heed in doing so.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Okay, in Geneva, what would you say that is what is.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Required to live just life, one that's ordained by God.
And God asks us to do a thing unless He
give us the ability to do.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, listen, I'm right there with you now. Obviously listen,
it's clear to see why you believe that as a follower,
as a believer, I see that now for those that
are out there that are maybe on the fence right
that they want to believe, they want to deepen their

(05:16):
faith with God. But listen, it's not so black and white, right,
It's not just okay, let me pick up the Bible,
let me read it, and all of a sudden, now
I'm a follower, right, Why would you say it's important
to do that? To become a follower, to believe in
the words in the Bible.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Take a change in one's heart, seeing the condition that
we there being the things that are happening in the world,
it would not happen. It's sand, it's less sin was
in the world, or all sin was in the world.
It started with with that on sin, and sin fell
on everybody else. But it don't have to be that way.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Let me ask why did you feel inspired to write
this book?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Because I know the law for myself and I've wanted
that for everybody else.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
People, I'm telling you the journey begins here, but I
promise you it doesn't end once you pick up copies. Man,
trust me when I tell you that's just the press
of hiss. Here's the challenge that I have for all
of you. Before you click away, ask yourself, what's one
thing I'm ready to unlearn today that's key to all

(06:29):
of this. A lot of times we build up habits
without even realizing we're doing so, we start to drift
away from that image of God that we are all
created in. And listen, I'm not here to cast dispersions.
I'm not here to point fingers. I get it. We
are living in a time, in a world that is busy,

(06:51):
that is challenging, and we are all found running from
one thing to the next. When we are on that
hamster wheel of life.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Life.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Man, there's a lot that we're juggling. Let this book,
like it says in the title, let us change the
world because I truly believe, one person at a time,
when you become acquainted with the Word of God, when
you start to invest in that relationship, your entire world
is going to change. Your perspective is going to be changed.

(07:24):
Like I mentioned, Geneva has started you on this journey.
Now it's up to you to continue it. Okay, let's
stop talking about change and start living in Geneva. This
has been an absolute pleasure. Thank you once again for
being a guest. People of Distinction,
