because you believe it. It's Amazon, it's Barnes and Noble Man,
it is a lot of other places. I'm telling you
this is one you need to add to your shelf

It is an absolute pleasure. It's a Vera here on

with God, where your words align with his in your
life bears his intended fruit. Man, sit back and strafford.
Today we're diving deep into how to think, how to speak,
and also how to live like a true co laborer
(02:21):
with Heaven. And get ready to shift some paradigms here man,
because that's what we're going to be doing today. Vera,
first and foremost welcome to people of distinction, and thank
you very much for being a guest. How are you
doing today?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I'm doing fine, and I hope you are, Vera.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
I am doing better than I deserve and I appreciate
you asking and thank you very much. Listen, we are
looking forward to this discussion. As great as I'm feeling today,
is not about me, all right. This is about this
incredible book that you've developed and something that I know
is going to be immensely beneficial to so many of
our listening audience members. So thank you for writing it,
(03:01):
thank you for being here with us to discuss it.
Let's start off at the foundation vera, because before you
got to this book, we want to understand the wisdom
you've acquired. So tell us more about yourself in your background.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
First and foremost, I am a minister of the Lord
Jesus Christ, serving in the office of teacher, and I
recognize that my purpose, as carrying out the will of
God for my life's work here on earth is to
(03:35):
expose and to encourage everyone to God's words and the
meaning of his word. And so I consider myself to
be an ambassador for the Kingdom of God in the earth.
And one of my assignments was the writing of this book.
(03:58):
As led by the Holy Spirit of God. I had
no aspirations at all of being a writer, but because
of the encouragement and instruction really of the Holy Spirit,
this book has become the result I presently teach a
(04:21):
Bible study every Sunday centered on what Jesus taught and
preached while he was on earth, entitled Jesus Said, and
it is distributed by email to anyone who desires it.
But in essence, Jesus Christ is the center of my life.
(04:41):
And better stated, I have laid down my life and
taken on the life of Jesus Christ. It is no
longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Listen, man, that's a way to start the interview. First
and foremost, you understand and that the information is coming
from a knowledgeable place. Okay, she is not a fly
by may follower here. This is what she sleeps and breathes,
So you understand that it's coming from a very fruitful
place of education. Vera, Listen. I have a lot of
(05:16):
questions that I want to ask, but let's start off
here with the book. Okay, Let's get a basic synopsis,
a brief understanding of what to expect, and then we'll
go into more of the depths within it. A practical
application of the Word of God. Tell us more about it.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
It is a discussion of the fellowship and the relationship
that we have with our Lord, and it is written
to four primarily believers, but of course there is a
chapter four unbelievers. But the entire book is centered on
(05:53):
Jesus Christ, who is the Lord and Savior of the world.
And in the book we deal with cooperating with God
as being ambassadors here in the earth for him if
we are born again. We deal with the significance of
(06:14):
God's word when it is applied through our lives. When
it is spoken, the word never returns to God's void.
It always accomplishes everything that He has sent it out
to do. So we are automatically victorious when we fill
(06:38):
our mouths with the language of God, which is his word.
We are automatically victorious because He watches over his word
to perform it. There's a scripture in Jeremiah that says
he hastens to perform his word. And so if we
are going to be victorious in life as believers in
(07:02):
Jesus Christ, then we need to be able to speak
the language that God has given us, and that is
His word in the Holy Bible.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Love that Okay, all right, So listen vera my question
that I want to go into now, because listen, I'm
following what you're saying, I'm picking up what you're putting down,
and I love the fact that your book emphasizes speaking
God's language. Now, it brings up a really interesting point
here because from conversations that I've had with those around me,
(07:37):
with guests that we've had on the network that have
written similar books, one thing that always comes up is
the questioning of whether you know the things that you're hearing,
the things that you're believing, if it actually is God
himself speaking right, Because yeah, sometimes discerning that can be difficult.
So my question that I want to now pass along
(07:59):
to you is how can believers and readers in your book,
how can they discern when they're operating in their own
understanding versus truly aligning with God's voice.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Then that brings in the Holy Spirit who lives within
each believer. He is the one who makes the Word
plain to us. He is the one who gods us.
He's the one who explains to us the Word, and
whatever questions we may have when we put them before
(08:35):
the Holy Spirit of God, then He, in his way
and wisdom, will enlighten us to the meaning of the word.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Fev Well, I'm telling you this is one you need
to add to yourself. Remember it's Amazon, it's Barnes and Noble.
It's entitled a Practical Application of the Word of God.
Speak the Word until you believe it, then speak the
Word because you believe it. I'm telling you this is
one that is going to help you move some mountains. Men,
(09:07):
head on over there pick up your copies today. They're
a follow up question now transitioning because listen, not only
is the information fantastic, but I also know that it
was through your own journey. I'm sure your experiences helped
buffer a lot of the aspects of the book. So
I want to now go there next. As we focused
(09:28):
inward and utilizing that as a way of paying it forward,
what personal transformation did you experience while you were writing
this book that potentially surprised you or maybe helped even
deepen your connection with God.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
To be very honest with you, I was born again
at the age of thirty eight, and I started in
the Word and in church, going to Bowble Studies and
the messages, the sermons on Sundays, and I was beginning
to learn more and more about the Word of God.
(10:09):
And so as I was preparing for this book through
the Holy Spirit, because actually he's the one who enlightened
me as to what should go on the pages of
this book. Each section. The Holy Spirit has had a
(10:32):
tremendous input into what was written. As I began to
work in the book, although I'd been growing in the
Lord throughout the years, I began to see things more clearly.
The revelation of God's words became more enlightening for me.
(10:58):
I actually was still this word and we I know,
we as Christians don't deal with relying on feelings. We
operate by faith in what God says. But I had
the feelings that I was drawing even closer. My understanding
(11:20):
was becoming clearer as I began to put down the
words in each one of these chapters. Even with the
chapter that deals with beliefs believing in Jesus Christ, believing
in God's Word. That there's a verse familiar scripture that
(11:41):
says God so loved the world that he gave us
the only begotten Son, that whoever would believe in him
would have eternal life. And when you look at that
word believe, it has a meaning for some of acknowledging
(12:03):
the fact that something exists, but to believe in the
Greek word for believing, which the New Testament of the
Bible was written primarily in Greek and Aramaic. When you believe,
according to the Greek word for believing, you actually adhering to.
(12:28):
You are clinging to you, are relying on Jesus Christ.
That's what God was meaning when he said, whosoever believes
not just acknowledge that Jesus Christ, his Son, exists, but
(12:50):
that we actually trust in him and allow him to
have input in our lives. Another thing that became very
clear is that when we speak of salvation, we think
in terms of inviting Jesus Christ into our lives. That's
(13:12):
not really what salvation is about. Salvation, according to the
Word of God, deals with laying down our lives and
taking on the lights of Jesus Christ. That's what true
salvation is all about. So these things became very clear
(13:35):
to me through the teachings and leading of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Very you're listen, you established a wonderful bridge that I'm
gonna I'm gonna walk across. Now, okay, we're gonna utilize
that as a segue to the next question here, because
you're talking about belief and the way I interpret that
is of course, that brings up the question of faith. Right,
believing something exists, yea, even when it feels like things
(14:04):
maybe are prolonged. Right, But having faith when things aren't
necessarily answered according to your clock and when you want
it to be, or even facing doubt or skeptics amongst others.
And you brought up Jeremiah a little while ago, and
I think it's a fantastic connection because we know that
Jeremiah faced intense opposition, yet he kept proclaiming truth, tying
(14:30):
it all back in. Now, how can readers apply your
teachings to stand firm when their declarations seem unanswered.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
The main thing there is that if we profess to
believe that there is a God, and we profess to
have Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior, see, we
have to operate with God through faith. Faith is not sinning.
(15:04):
We have the five senses that we are used to
using here on earth as intended by God, but the
five senses don't work as far as faith in God.
Faith is believing something exists when you don't see it,
(15:26):
and when it doesn't occur when you think and see.
That goes back to putting down our lives and taking
on the life of Christ, because if his word tells
us that we have what the Word says and that
(15:47):
God's promises are true, then we believe that whether we
see it at the time we think we should see it,
or whether it is right on time as God's always people.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Listen, man, I knew that we were going to be
receiving an education here today, but it's nothing like being
in the moment. I'm listen. I set it before. I'm
gonna say it again. This is so much larger than
a literary creation. It is a lifestyle shift. And I
don't know about you, man, but I'm fired up. Okay,
I'm ready. I'm ready to speak, I'm ready to think.
(16:24):
I'm ready to partner with God like never before. If
you are too, I'm gonna say it again. You gotta
head on over to Amazon, Barnes and Noble grab your
copies of a Practical Application of the Word of God.
Because this man, like I mentioned, this is gonna help
you change some things. It's gonna help you move some mountains.
(16:44):
Let's start walking in those kingdom results. Until next time,
stay aligned, stay empowered, and keep declaring what Heaven has
already spoken. This book is the precipice, but I promise
you the journey is far from over. It's going to
exceed the last page and continue on for so much longer.
(17:08):
Grab it as a gift for somebody else as well, man,
because this is something that you need to pass along.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Vera.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
This has been a true pleasure, in absolute delight. Thank
you once again for being a guest on People of Distinction.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
It's been my pleasure. Thank you very much, and I
appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. You'll be blessed
