La historia de Maribel Enciso es una de las más impactantes y dolorosas en México. En septiembre de 2010, mientras trabajaba en su óptica en Tecámac, Estado de México, fue atacada por un hombre que no solo intentó acabar con su vida, sino que también se llevó a su hija de apenas once meses, María José Monroy Enciso. Desde ese día, su búsqueda incansable no ha cesado. Pese a que el responsable, identificado como Geyser Crespo García, fue detenido y sentenciado a más de 80 años de prisión, nunca reveló con claridad el paradero de la niña. Sus declaraciones contradictorias, sumadas a la falta de acción de las autoridades, dejaron el caso lleno de dudas y de un dolor irreparable para los padres.
