(00:21):
Welcome back to the Pet Owner DiaryShow. My name is Tasuemaker and I'll
be your co host today. Sowhen you're hearing this, Woman's Month will
be over. But all month longwe've been honoring amazing women within the pet
community. And to finish Women's Month, we have a powerhouse of a woman
joining us today. Pet treats area great way to bond with, assist

(00:43):
with training and praising our pets,But there's so many to choose from,
and almost all advertise themselves as thebest or the most healthy for our pets,
So how can we know which totrust and which might not be the
best. Just like we care aboutwhat we put into our bodies, we
take the same care for our furbabies. And someone who knows the struggle

(01:06):
of the pet treat world and decidedto make a difference about it is today's
guest Treasure Crocker, the founder ofPosteries All Natural Pet Treats, Welcome Treasure.
How are you today? Hello,Hello, thank you for having me.
I am doing well. My dayhonestly really just got like really really

(01:27):
started. Like no, I didn'twake up for like two o'clock, I
promise, but like no, likejust getting into the work of things.
So my work days just like reallystarted for me, which is kind of
odd for most people because they're like, you know, my day starts at
nine o'clock. Like, yeah, life of an entrepreneur, it starts whenever
you know. I want it too, So I feel that good. How
are you today? Good? Yeah, I mean I will admit I got

(01:49):
up at like twelve thirty mile time, so I feel it. I feel
it. When you run your ownbusiness, you can do whatever you want
exactly exactly, all right. Solet's just get into this because I have
a lot to ask you about anda lot to talk about. So you
have a very interesting story. Youused to be a vet technician before you

(02:14):
open your business. Did you eversee yourself running a pet tree company back
when you were a vetech? Honestly, no, And it's it's funny.
I could you know I've always hada passion for animals since I was maybe
like five or six, and thenof course that led into me wanting to
aspire to be a veterinarian, andthen of course me being a vet tech.

(02:38):
You know, kind of halfway there. But I always kind of wanted
to have kind of like a sidepassion with animals. I just couldn't really
figure out what it was. Iwas like, well, you know,
maybe close, but then I'm like, yeah, I can't, so I
don't really know how that's gonna work. And then someone's like, oh,
maybe like callers or things like that. I'm like, God, I don't
know. And then you know, then one little incident happened and now we

(03:01):
have a business. So yeah, right, And I read your story on
the website that's posties dot com.If you are interested and curious, go
check that out. And I thinkit's brilliant. You really are a great
example of all right, I'll justdo it myself, and I think that's
wonderful for our listeners. Was theresomething that made you want to bake your

(03:23):
own dog treats like what happened?Yes? So back in twenty eighteen,
I have two dogs, Chase andBash. They they're actually father and son,
which is hilarious because you see them, you would think like the total
opposite. Like, because Bash isbigger than Chases, a lot of people
assume that that Bash is the dad. But yes, it was the I

(03:47):
believe it was early fall. Chasestarted losing weight because he wasn't eating.
He started developing hotspots, and Iwas like, what's going on? And
so I take him to work.I get an allergy test done and it
turns out that he has a glutenand a poultry allergy. And I'm just

(04:10):
like, you know, that's kindof it's kind of odd. You know,
nothing was really new, so Iwas like wait. I was like,
I did just get some treats fromthe store. So I was like
wow, So you know, I'mlooking at the treats and of course you
know half of the ingredients. I'mlike, I don't know what, if
any everything is. And so thenfrom there I was just like, well,

(04:31):
now I really have to It's notthat I don't trust store products,
but I would rather make a productwhere I know what's going into you know,
the product, versus me having toguess, you know, to google,
you know what it would with thesethings are, so I started making
my own treats. Everything is allnaturally gluten free obviously because both of my

(04:54):
dogs have a gluten and a poultryallergy. So yes, wow, yeah,
So specifically, what were some ofthe things you were struggling with when
looking for, you know, treatsfor Chase that wouldn't flare up his allergies.
So it's funny because Chase and Bashelare both father and son, so

(05:15):
they have the same set of allergiesand they are two different dogs, right,
Bashes bashes the baby and he's they'reboth very spoiled. But Bash is
palette, I will say, isit's very like to consider it as bougie.
So he doesn't really eat everything thatyou give him, and Chase is
more like, yeah, I'll eateverything, you know, is that really

(05:38):
what you do? So I waslike, let me just test this.
I literally tried to give him Ithink it was like either a piece of
paper or a piece of tape, like just to see like, are you
just really just want to just eateverything that's in front of your face?
And he tried to eat it.I said, okay, but having to
you know, look for treats forChase. I also had to figure out
treats for Bash, and the treatsthat I bought for Chase were not in

(06:01):
the treats that I bought for Bashbecause Bash wouldn't like the same treats,
and you know, it's costly tohave to, you know, buy multiple
things of different varieties. So justfinding something that one he will like to
finding all natural ingredients and when Imean all natural, I really mean all

(06:23):
natural, no process anything, nocolors, no fillers, no nothing.
And that's really something that I struggledwith when going to the pet store because
even though a brand may considered themselvesto be all natural, you turn the
package around and it's like, oh, you know, but it's like you
know, red dye color forty orsomething, well that's not you know,

(06:44):
So just finding finding treats that weregluten free at the time, because there
weren't really a lot of gluten freeproducts in the store. Finding gluten free
products and just finding something that Iknew would really contribute to their like proper
nutrition. You know, sometimes theyyou know a little I won't I won't
say junk food, like what isa dog? Right, but you know,
something something that will add to they'rea proper nutrition for their diet,

(07:10):
right. Yeah, And so,um, was there anything you noticed with
the more processed treats that like reallymade you concerned and you finally just you
know, sat down or like,I'm just going to do my own research
on healthy alternatives. Yeah, Ithink just because you know, all of

(07:30):
the major brands of treats, whoare not going to say you know their
names or anything like that. Um, but you know a lot of major
brands of treats claimed to be healthyor they have different additives. And I'm
just like, you know, Ireally believe that, even I guess that
my dogs are pets, right, but I think that they deserve to have

(07:56):
you know, healthy stack options justlike we do. Of course, that's
that's something that you don't really findin in a general you know, pet
store, you know, what isit called a chain like store? But
yeah, it's just it's it's hardto find especially for I'm not gonna say,
you know, cheaper products you knowaren't healthy, but nine times out

(08:20):
of ten, you know it,it's like, oh, like why is
it so? Why why are theseall natural treats like three dollars? You
know, I don't know, soyeah, um, just I guess just
just being able to find something thatI know would would benefit my dog to
where we won't have to be runningback and forth to the veg getting allergy

(08:41):
tests done to figure out like,oh are these good? Are these good?
So yes, right, I justmake my own treats. Yeah,
I know that. I mean theone thing you said about, um,
how you know, the more processtreats are a lot cheaper, um.
And I think one of the mainreasons that people struggle with giving their pets
the all natural or the more boogietreats as I guess we can call them,

(09:07):
is really just the price, becausenot everybody has the money to to
really invest in you know, healthyfood or healthy treats for their animals.
But your products are I would say, very reasonable. Yeah, And you
know it's I try to. Andit's funny because you know, we've been

(09:28):
in business instance twenty eighteen, andso over time a lot of our you
know, treat packaging has changed, even the shape of the treats you know
have changed, And I was like, you know, I really want to
not only be able to offer youknow, pets and even pet parents with
just the comfort of knowing that theyare getting you know, healthy, delicious

(09:50):
treats, but also the packaging inwhich you know, the treats are in.
It's equal friendly, so the jarsare able to be reused and recycled,
as well as the packaging that itships to you into, whether it's
a boxall bubblemailer, everything is ecofriendly and that that doesn't cooperate into the
cost. But it's like, okay, you're able to keep the draft or
you know what I mean. Soyeah, I think it's I think it's

(10:11):
reasly be prized for it for glassproducts. I don't you know, I
don't know. No, it definitelyis. Especially I used to work at
a big box pet store and theamount of times people would come in with,
you know, their pets have allergiesand they were looking for something that
we recommended. Almost always, um, you know, management would be like,

(10:31):
recommend them, you know, thisexpensive thing, and people will be
like, nin no, I'm justgonna get the cheaper version, even if
the cheaper version wasn't that good.So yeah, I understand that struggle.
We do have to take a quicklittle break here, so we'll be right
back from Treasure with Treasure Crocker fromPosters All Natural Pet Treats. At Nava

(12:18):
today with Treasure Crocker of Posteries Allnatural pet treats, and we were talking
about a little bit about their businessjourney and what made her want to start
baking her own pet treats. Andwhat I wanted to get into is more
of the process treats, because Idon't think a lot of people actually know

(12:41):
the benefits of all natural treats andkind of maybe not the benefits, but
the less healthy or helpful things thatare in process treats. So treasure,
what are some of the common ingredientsthat you see in more or processed,
big box treats that you know arenot very good for our pets? Oh,

(13:09):
of course, I'm sorry. Nowmy dogs are they do this every
time? If you hear them,I'm sorry. Whenever I'm on a call
or anything, they are completely quiet, but then as soon as I jump
on, they're like, oh,we have to fight and you know,
make a lot of noise. Um. So, like if you hear the
little Tippi, there little nails onthe floor. We have callwood floors.
Okay, guys, you're all goodpets, so it's fine if they're in

(13:30):
the background. So. Um.As far as ingredients, I would say
anything that's kind of artificial soul, like corn, syrup or artificial colors on
a lot of UM. Some maybelike peanut butter brands carry Zyla tall,
which is very toxic to dogs.People like really have to be mindful when
they're when they're looking for things likethat excessive salt. Honestly, anything that

(13:54):
maybe you can't pronounce or you haveno idea what it is and you have
to google, like what what isthis? You know, this name is
a little long. I feel likeif you have to do that, then
it's probably not the most healthy, right. It's like our own food,
you know, when you go tothe grocery store and you look on the
back of your food and the firstingredient is something that like you cannot pronounce

(14:16):
and you've never heard of. Ye, it's probably not the best for you.
So it's the exact same for ourpets basically. And why do you
think larger companies use these types ofingredients even though they've been proven to not
be the best or even harmful forpets. UM. If I had to

(14:37):
guess, I would say maybe justto increase the shelf life of the product.
That would really be like if itbecause my drect you know, I
don't really know the reason. Butif I really had to guess, I
would think that it would be toto maybe increase the product shelf life because
a lot of you know, treatsnowadays are able to stay on the shelf

(15:00):
or or you know, they don'tgo back until like a year or two
after um and that's because of theextra additives and fillers and things that they
do add to the treats as wellas maybe um, I don't want to
sit and necessarily say to cut costson certain things, but that may also
be um uh, you know areason maybe if if you look on the

(15:22):
back of some treats and maybe likeoh, like chicken buy product, or
you know, if if it's aif it's supposed to be a beef treat,
but then you turn it around andthen like the first three ingredients are
like beef, chicken, and pork, it's like wait a minute, you
can feel like is this not abeef treat? Why? Why are these
other proteins in it? Right? So I would maybe you know, that

(15:43):
would be the reason, um andjust you know, to Honestly, I'm
not completely sure, but those wouldbe My guess is if if I had
to take one right and I thinkI would agree with you that those would
be my main guesses. The mainone for me was, um, you
know, pricing, but I actuallydo think, um, the shelf life

(16:04):
does go into it. So Ithink it's a very very smart answer.
Um. I mean, yeah, you know, I in my head,
I'm just like, oh, likeall of them are just I don't want
to say cheap to me, butall of the treats in the store just
relatively cheaps. Like that just kindof goes with saying, all right,
but yeah, you're right pricing tokeep it very like low costs. And
I'm not saying that there's anything wrongwith providing a cost cost efficient product for

(16:27):
customers because like you said, noteveryone is able to you know, afford
the most expensive brand of treats.Um, it's just and even though uh,
there are some treats that I haveseen with some you know, relatively
good ingredients for a cheaper price, but there are still you know, extra
additives and then that you know,I just we don't use as a company.

(16:49):
Yeah, of course, And likewe said earlier, you're you were
of that technician, Um, andso you know what pet need, what
pets needed to thrive diet wise, treat wise, what are common health issues
that can stem from poor diet orum, you know, constant use of

(17:11):
more processed treats. So I wouldsay, like, and I tell people
this all the time, pets arejust like humans. They have a lot
of the same you know, diseasesand elements and things like that. So
one being obesity, and of courseyou know obesity leads to diabetes. You
can have heart disease, live orfailure. Um. Even when it comes

(17:33):
to teeth, you know, periodonislike periodontal disease. So all of these
things can have an effect one,you know, your pet, and a
lot of people don't recognize that eventhough yes they are pets, they're you
know, their diet still needs tobe healthy, nutritious in some way,
just like we as humans. Becauseif we just continuously eat you know,

(17:56):
very greasy or fatty foods, orthere's no you know, added greens,
or there's nothing that's really nutritious inour diet, we can have clogged arteries
that can you know, lead toa heart It's it's the same with pets,
even cancer unfortunately, so people haveto be very very mindful of what
their their pets are eating. Um, And I took people all the time.

(18:18):
People are like, oh, well, what should I feed my pets?
Say, honestly, you know itjust kind of just do your research
always if you have a vet, consol with your vet and pretty much go
from there. But just you know, be mindful of what you're feeding them,
of course, and that makes alot of sense. UM. And
so do you see food allergies alot um as your time as a vet

(18:41):
tech. Um, I would seea few, some being a gluten it's
more of a a lot of peopledon't realize it's said some people some pets
have a gluten sensitivity. UM.So when when people come in and they
bring their pets in and they're like, oh my dogs been you know,
itching and scratching and biting it,they pause. Sometimes it's a food allergies.

(19:03):
Sometimes it's seasonal. Sometimes it's it'sjust breed prone. Like pitbulls,
for example, they have what's calledskin dermatitis. So a lot of times,
you know, pitties like to tobite in between their toes and things
like that. But that's just somethingthat has been bred, unfortunately into the
line of pit bulls. UM.But yes, I used to see some
food allergies more so um, Iwould say seasonal or just you know,

(19:27):
breed prone. But there were somesome food allergies. Yes, yeah,
And I know like you said,um, my dog has a grain allergy.
So um, if he eats anythingwith grain, um, he'll do
the thing where he bites and lickshis paws so they get raw. Um,
he gets those nasty hot spots whichare not fun to do with.

(19:48):
UM. So yeah, it's notit's not fun for them. Uh,
nor is it fun for you.No, it's it's not, you know,
because it's like you have to shavethe spot, you have to apply
you know, soaper, selfidiazine cream. It's like it's like it's a whole
process. You know, maybe afteryour dog has to wear a cone and
if your pets are anything like mine, they don't. They don't want to

(20:08):
wear it, not at all. It's like, what is this thing on
my head? You know, Iget this off? But yes, you
know, built and sensitivity, grainsensitivity, um, skin dermatitis, seasonal
allergies, all of these things existjust like they do for us as humans,
right right, And that makes senseand of course, um, you
know, if you're dealing with somethinglike this, um, Having good treats

(20:33):
or good food is much better andmuch cheaper than you know, having to
pay for those vet bills for asick animal. Yea, yeah, so
we do have to take a quickbreak, but we'll be right back with
Treasure Crocker from Pastries. We allknow that a dog is man's best friend,

(21:07):
won't Why stop there? We thinkthat all pets make our lives a
little easier, whether it's a cat, gecko, or even a horse.

to hear from you on the PetOwner Diary Show. We're looking for the
next pet celebrity superstar or that uniqueanimal story for TV and radio. If
you believe your pet has the itfactor, then call our pet line at
four oh seven nine oh six fiftyseven twelve or email us at pet Owner

(21:52):
Diary at gmail dot com. Thepossibilities are endless. Maybe you and your
pet will be our next featured weeklyguest on TV or radio. Let's give
our pets the attention they deserve.Welcome back a family. We are here

(22:17):
with Treasure Crocker, the founder andowner of Posties All natural pet Treats.
And now that we've talked about someof the larger big box treats, I
want to talk about your treats becauseyou know, I think they are absolutely
amazing and you know your story behindthem is great. Um, So what

(22:41):
are some ingredients that you use andhow can they benefit our pets? So
what one of the main ones isis being gluten free flower. I'm just
gonna like name them off, andI'm just gonna name of all of the
benefits us. And we use glutenfree flower, use bananas, We use
unsweet and apple sauce. We usehoney, We use super seeds which include

(23:04):
chi, flax and hemp. Weuse peanut butter, we use pumpkin,
use brown rice, we use peas, We use venison, we use bison.
Those are just for the dog treats. We also have cat treats as
well, because we love, youknow, our feline friends. And for
the cat treats, you know,we just we use chicken, salmon,
and tuna in those streets as wellas a little cat. Okay, have

(23:26):
that in there. But pretty muchjust overall, what encompasses, like the
benefits is just it's nutrition. It'sgiving your pets vitamin A, vitamin C,
you know, copper like B one, B six, vitamin A,
vitamin B twelve, potassium, it'sgiving your pet. How can I say
this? I always describe the treatsas healthy and nutritious but delicious as well.

(23:52):
So it's like you're getting like allof all of these, Like,
how can I explain this? Iwould say it's it's a very wholesome um,
you know, type of a wholesomegroup of ingredients that you exactly you
can trust, Yes, exactly.See here we go. Look that's bouncing
off of each other. Yes,but just in everything. And when I

(24:15):
say everything is all natural, everythingis completely one all natural. There are
no added preservatives, there are nocolors, no fillers, nothing, and
we even we dehydrate the treats sothey're able to last a little bit longer.
So I like to say that they'recrispin crunchy um and they can they
have a shelf life for up toninety days, even though they do not

(24:37):
you know, last that long inpeople's homes, thankfully, But yes,
everything is just your Your pet canenjoy a healthy, delicious treat and you,
as a pet owner, can knowthat you are buying something that's going
to add to your pets diet asvery nutritious. Right, and guy is

(25:00):
if you want to go check outthe website. It is posteries like pastries,
but it is p A W St R I e S dot com.
You guys can go check out theproducts there, read Treasure story and
all that good stuff. Um,I want to get into the business because

(25:21):
I think what you have built isamazing. What like they really made you
finally say yeah, I'm gonna I'mgonna make these homemade treats into a business.
Well, I think it was justthe overwhelming just request of people asking
me to make their dogs treats aswell. And I was like, you

(25:41):
know, I'm doing this because Ilove you all. I really maybe I
can I can start being compensated forthis, you know, like I don't
mind making treats off the love, but if you guys are gonna keep you
know, requesting that I make yourdog streets for this into a business,
right. You know it was reallyjust the I think, the overwhelming you

(26:03):
know, wanting me to provide youknow, pets with more healthier snack options,
like aside from my own, asidefrom my friends and families pets which
just pets around you know, theworld can be able to enjoy these amazing
Yeah, Like I said, Ilove your story. Um. Not only
is posteris a woman owned business,it is a black owned business. And

(26:29):
I mean you're probably older than mebecause I'm like literally a baby. Um,
but you're pretty young to be afounder of a big whole company.
Um. Do you have any issueswith people in the business industry kind of
underestimating you or who are not thenicest because of who you are? You

(26:49):
know they're they're you know, Ithink it just it comes with the business.
But yes, um, and howold are you if if not to
help myself when I'm only twenty one? Oh, you know, I'm a
baby. I know It's okay.Meanwhile, I'm pushing thirty. That's all
right, though, it's okay.I wrong with that. I know,

(27:11):
there's nothing wrong with that. Atall. But yes, I think because
in this space of you know, the pet treat industry, pet care industry,
just the pet industry in general, there are not a lot of black
people. There are not a lotof people of color. So whenever I
do events, whenever I have togo to conferences and things like this,

(27:37):
people of other races seeing me,it's kind of like I almost have to
validate why I'm here. So I'vedeveloped kind of a spill whenever I'm describing
my business so that I can alreadyanswer the questions as to why, you
know, to the next person whereI should be validated for you you know.

(28:00):
So it's like I didn't just wakeup one day and just decide to
just do this, right, Like, No, I have a background,
I have an education in doing thesethings. Um. And not that there's
anything wrong with with someone who didjust decide to wake up one morning and
do it. Um. I thinkit's a little bit different depending on who
you are. Yeah, But peopleseeing me and then they're like, oh,

(28:21):
like how did you get your started? Why are you in? Like
wow, this is just so different, you know, for you know,
I've never seen this, and it'sjust kind of like, no, you
have seen it. Maybe maybe notfrom a person of that you're looking at,
but no, you've seen it before, you know. Um, so
I won't really say that I've receivedmaybe a lot of backlash. Yeah,

(28:45):
maybe not a lot of backlash, but just so a lot of like like
why are you here? Like justa lot of like like your style.
Yeah, yeah, and it's andit's and it's kind of you know,
unfortunate that that that is this thecase. This isn't a podcast or anything
like that, you know obviously, but you know that it is. It
is things. But yeah, no, and we and oh what we want

(29:08):
to I mean, you know, even though this is a pet podcast,
we love the people who are behindcaring for our pets, making things for
our pets, and hearing their stories, no matter if they are good or
bad or difficult. I think itis extremely important, um because you know,
we don't we don't get to seea lot of the people behind our

(29:30):
pet products and things like that.I mean, well, hey, if
they're bad, I don't really knowif I really want, you know,
you know, my pets to bea joy and the truths are the service.
But no, I get what you'resaying. Um, but yes,
but I do believe that I havedeveloped a sort of a different level of
competence in a way of which it'slike I don't really have to prove myself

(29:52):
to you because I deserve to behere. I deserve to be an instrument.
I deserve to be in this space, and I am making you know,
headway for other you know, peoplelike me. So so yeah,
you know, I love you know, I love what I do. I
love being able to you know, provide pet treats and still be able to
you know, be around animals becauseI actually I haven't practiced in two years,

(30:15):
so this is really like another wayfor me to still be able to
be immersed in the pet world.Gotcha. I can hear the boys in
the back but night Yeah, yep, there there they go again. Yeah
boys. Um And you're so wehave something in common. You're you're from
Detroit Um and I was actually bornin London, Ontario, which is two

(30:38):
hours outside of Detroit Um, soI've been there. I actually love Detroit
Um. But you know, somepeople have some preconceptions about it. What's
it like living there for you?Like, like tell people what it's actually
like, because I think people don'tunderstand that Detroit is actually a very nice
city. Yeah. Yeah, andit's you know, and it's funny because

(31:00):
I I, yes, I'm bornand raised Detroitter, proud to say that.
Um, and I believe that, you know, maybe my opinion on
this is a little biased, butI love my city and I believe that
although yes, there are a lotof perceptions, you know that the media
portrays as Detroit being, uh,you know, a city of violence in

(31:23):
the city, crime and you know, all of these things. In reality,
it's just kind of like, well, but what city doesn't have right,
right, So I think it's it'sreally up to the person to use
your own discernment. But if youever, if anyone ever has the opportunity
to come here, I believe thatDetroitters are some of the most like warm,

(31:48):
welcoming and inviting individuals. And youknow, we are a city that
hustles. I don't I travel alot, and I don't think that I've
ever been anywhere else, uh wherewhere you've met people like us. It's
just kind of like, if you'renot from here, we're gonna make you
feel as though you're welcome to comeback. Right, So it's like from
our historic neighborhoods, to our art, to our cars, to our food,

(32:10):
to our culture. There's no placelike Detroit. And I really think
that if anyone ever has the opportunityto come and visit, you should.
And that's not just Detroit. Ilove Detroit, but it's like even Michigan
as a whole. You know,we have yeah peninsula, it's just hiking,
kayaking trees. It's already it's beautiful. Yes, it is very beautiful.
So it's like, yeah, cometo the city, you know,

(32:32):
get your food, see all thethings. Maybe go up north, you
know, see we're right off theriver. We have fine things. Come
on now, you just it's anadventure. Yes, we do have to
take a quick break, but we'lltalk some more about Detroit when we come
back with Treasure Crocker of Pastries. At Nava Pets, we know how important

(33:12):

spoil your pet with goodness, treatyour pet like they treat you. Welcome

(34:23):
back, pet family. We arehere talking to Treasure Crocker of Posters All
Natural Pet Treats That is posteres pA W S t R I E S
dot com if you want to shopsome of the products. So we were
talking about Detroit because we both havethat connection. We both love Detroit,

(34:45):
but no matter how much we holdit dear to us, you know,
we can admit that it has someissues with under serviced people. And I
think it's amazing that you uplift localbusinesses so who do you work with?
Yes, um so, I actuallypartner with Detroit Hives. Going to give

(35:05):
a quick shout out to them. There actually our local honey company and they
provide the honey that goes into ourtrees. Um So, the good,
like the best thing that probably everhappened with our partnership was not only you
know, the exchange of honey, but as well as I'm learning so much
about bees and everything that it entailswith bees, something that I really never

(35:29):
knew before. So it's it's alsoa learning experience and then a beneficial you
know partnership between you know, bothof our companies. Right, and bees
are important we need yes, yes, yes they are. So what what
was your main goal when you startedyour company. My main goal when I

(35:49):
start at Postures was to be ableto provide pets, you know, not
just dogs, the cats as wellwith healthier you know snack options, something
that's you know, all natural, something that's healthy, while also being able
to provide you know, education forour pet parents, not only as far
as like nutrition, but as wellas just being a better you know,

(36:12):
pet owner, pet parent. I'dalways say that there's a difference between the
two, but with always whether you'reeither one. Um, just kind of
just a better knowledge of how totake care of your pet so that they
can have or live, you know, a longer, healthier life for as
long as they're here. Amazing. And yeah, so we know that starting
a business can be a little toughand you can be a little scary sometimes.

(36:36):
Um So what advice would you giveto someone who you know they want
to start up a business. Theyhave this great product, but they're a
little scared to enter such a competitiveworld. I guess we could say my
advice. I think my top advicethat I always give people, no matter
who you are, is to neverbe afraid to ask for help. Still,

(37:00):
you know I struggle with that fromtime to time, but I think
I've gotten a lot better now.But never be afraid to ask for help.
The road of entrepreneurship is not aneasy one. Any entrepreneur will be
able to tell you. And justbeing able to have you know other entrepreneurshi
just someone in your corner who cankind of either maybe ease a load or
help you in a way in whichyou maybe didn't even know that you needed

(37:21):
help is a really large one.And also too, I know that it's
it's very fearful if you have aproduct that you look and you see other
people doing, or even if youdon't have a product and you just want
to introduce it to the world. If you go onto a store, how
many breads, how many bread companiesare in the store's right, it's all
the same, right, So itdoesn't it doesn't matter, you know that

(37:44):
if you have a product that yousee someone else or ten or twenty other
people have, or doesn't matter ifyou have a product and you don't see
anyone doing it. I just say, always believe in yourself. Don't be
fearful of you know what could happen, because it's like you never know.
If you take that leap, youmay propel and excel in a way in

(38:04):
which you never imagine. And that'ssomething that actually happened for me. There
never in a million years where Ihave thought that my business would be in
such a position in which it isnow when we still have a lot more
growing to do. UM, sorrythat you know asking for help, don't
being fearful, believe in yourself andand have a good support system. I
know that sometimes you know that's hard, especially if UM, if you're looking

(38:29):
for, you know, your familyto be your support system. Yes,
they are supposed to be. Theyare supposed to be our biggest you know,
uh cheer offs, you know, cheers and in supporters. But sometimes
it doesn't happen. But that's okay, it's okay. But just there,
You're not alone, right there, there's there are so many people you out

(38:51):
here that do what you do ormay like what you do, and you
can connect with people. Make it. You can choose your family, right
you have your your family that you'reborn in, and then you have your
chosen family. And I believe thatyou know sometimes with different chosen family that
will really help you in areas inwhich you didn't know that you needed help.
Right And and so I want towant to get maybe like a little

(39:15):
audio sneak peek of some future plansfor you. Do you have anything planned?
Uh? Yeah I do. I'llshare a lot, just just a
little, just an exclusive sum Soas far as postures, I'm always looking
for a way to expand, uhkind of like our inventory in a way.

(39:39):
So I've I've had different ideas andI've had a lot of inquiries about
different treat flavors and things like that. So, um, when we become
a little bit bigger of a team, my goal is to be able to
do a flavor of the month becausea lot of people are just like,
oh, like, do you haveI've been asked if if we do liver

(40:00):
treats. If we do uh itwas something else. I said no,
But hey, I will I puta pin in that. I'll note it
and you know, we'll see howit does. Ye. Also, you
know there's another business venture that thatI'm that I'm doing, but where where
you guess? Can't You're not Ican't tell you that, right, you
know, I'm impressing about it.Thank you, no problem, Thank you
