Now. This is the FCB PodcastNetwork. This is pillow Talk with Allie
Michelle on the FCB Podcast Network.Welcome back to another episode of pillow Talk

(00:26):
with Alie Michelle. I am yourhost, Alie Michelle. I have a
very disturbing story to go over today. If you haven't seen the news,
haven't heard about it, I'm aboutto explain it. I'm about to go
over it and I'm about to getinto depth with it. It hits close
to home because there's a couple ofcities over from where I live. It's
in my home state, and let'sroll into it. Okay, So,

(00:48):
North Olmstead Police bust human trafficking ringteachers among ten men arrested. This is
absolutely horrifying. I'm going to justskim over a few sentence days and I
am going to blast their names becausepeople like this deserve to be known for
what they do. It's absolutely horrifying. We're protecting our children, our women,

(01:11):
our youth, anybody that is avictim of something like this. This
is absolutely horrifying. So it startsoff by North Olmsted City Police Department in
Ohio in a sting operation, arrestedten men alleged to be a part of
a human trafficking ring, including aformer official of a network of schools and

(01:33):
another reportedly a former teacher. FoxNews reported or Fox eight reported according to
his LinkedIn, Dan Keenan, Junior, fifty three of Westlake, one of
the leaders of a particular human traffickingring, has served as a super intendant
of Westlake City School District from twothousand and seven to two fourteen. Freaking

(01:57):
disgusting, as it goes on tosay, Keenan currently works as an executive
director of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. In a minute, I'll explain what
that is. It's but for nowit's a Cleveland based nonprofit that supports public
schools with grant funding. To justknow that this type of person was amongst

(02:20):
our youth is absolutely horrifying. Thenit goes on to say that another suspect
held by police is Jeffrey O.Ohl, fifty three, of Lagrange,
who teaches social studies at Keystone MiddleSchool in Lagrange. What the frick.
Eight other men were also picked upin a one day operation headed up by
the North Olmsted Police and West ShoreEnforcement Bureau and Ohio Internet Crimes against Children

(02:47):
Task Force. The suspects included Ahmedajabris A l j A. Bri I
forty one of Cleveland, Shaw chewon Sha first name, last name,
c h u w A m Ofthirty two of Erie, Pennsylvania, William

(03:08):
Minor fifty two of Cleveland, IrwinPalma Taurus thirty three of Garrettsville, Jacob
Saffron thirty two of Royal Oak,Michigan, Raymond Schillinger fifty three of Akron,
Carl Whipley Junior fifty five, andPerry Earrol Jackson thirty five of Lorraine,

(03:34):
y'all lor Rayne. So get this? According to the police, Jackson,
a registered Tier three sex offender, was earlier captured for promoting in our
promoting prostitution and is currently in theCayahaka County Jail according to the Attorney General
Office. Oh oh, I getthis. The police also held a person
said to be an illegal immigrant.Oh yes, yes, let's just let

(03:59):
all of these criminal come over tocommit these crimes against our fellow neighbors,
our daughters, our nieces, ourgranddaughters, our aunts, our mothers,
and our brothers. Oh yeah, let's just bring them on. It then
goes on to say. During thesting, the police discovered at least seven
possible victims of human trafficking and directedthem to resources like the Canopy Child Advocacy

(04:24):
Center, the Child Rape Crisis I'mSorry, the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center,
and the Harriet Tubban Movement. TheNorth Olmsted Police Department will not tolerate this
type of activity in our city.Police Chief Bob Wagner is quoted in the
release quote, we will continue toinvestigate and prosecute those individuals that come to
our city and violate our laws.We greatly appreciate the help from our law

(04:46):
enforcement partners and look forward to continuingthis relationship in the future. So I
do want to say something about thepolice force and those that claim and scream
defund the police. The these menand women who worked around the clock to
capture these disgusting, despicable people deservesmore than what you scream at them.

(05:12):
They have protected, They have nowprobably prevented hundreds of children from being exploited
in this disgusting, repulsive act, acts that happen in our backyards. If
you don't think it's happening in yourcity, you're wrong. If you don't
think it's happening to like your neighbor. You're wrong. We desperately need our

(05:33):
police departments. We desperately need bordercontrol, we desperately need people who put
their lives on the lines for thesake of our children. It's absolutely disgusting
that our president of the United Stateshas also claimed that, you know that

(05:53):
police aren't important or I'm gonna I'mnot sure if his exact quote, but
you know, police brutality or whateverhe has to say. But what about
this, what about this? So, the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation was actually
started by a woman and her namewas Martha Holden Jennings. She had a
lifelong interest in aiding and improving ofelementary and secondary public schools. In nineteen

(06:15):
fifty eight, she stated or shestarted Martha Holden Jennings Foundation with initial request
of five point five million from theestate of her late husband, Andrew D.
Jennings, an executive with an internationalbusiness machines corporation, who died in
nineteen thirty one. She had avision for the foundation entitled enhancing and promoting

(06:36):
higher achievement in parts of the youngstudents and their teachers. Ultimately, she
hoped that this support would bring thegreater recognition of teacher profession at the elementary
and secondary levels. Over the years, the Foundation has dispersed millions of dollars

(06:57):
of grants, typically ranging in sizefrom one in two hundred of thousands of
dollars. The Foundation does not makegrants for multiple year projects, whether requests
must be for one year only.Depending on the status of the project,
an organization may resubmit a proposal forcontinue funding the Lifelong List Foundation beneficiary,
you know benefit. Sometimes I stumbleover my words, but this included area

(07:23):
of colleges and universities, as wellas the Beck Center for Arts and the
Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the Cleveland FolkArts Association, the Cleveland Museum of Arts,
the Cleveland Society for the Blind, and the University Circle Incorporated. Now
I'm just gonna go on a limbhere, and this is just good a
conspiracy. So disclaimer, this isjust a conspiracy because I love me a

(07:48):
good conspiracy theory. I met you, this mfort was following money to forward
this ring. Let's play close attentionto this. In the next couple of
months, right, a couple ofyears, maybe come out that he was
funneling money through this foundation right underpeople's noses. Now, not saying the
foundation has any part in the traffickingring. However, I bet you this

(08:11):
dude was funneling money. So thenI just found another report and it said,
you know, while yesterday's operation wasoccurring, the conclusion of a separate
investigation into Stephen Gilbert thirty six ofIllyria led to his conviction of thirty one
human trafficking offenses. He was subsequentlysentenced to life in prison with eligibility for

(08:35):
parole after one hundred and seventy twoand a half to one hundred and eighty
two years in prison. Good Riddancesays detectives found that Gilbert ran a human
trafficking ring that preyed upon numerous womenwho were addicted to narcotic low piece of
scum. I must say, heis disgusting and this is literally I used
to live in Illyria. That wasmy That's where I moved out by mysel

(09:00):
if. I had my own littlespot. I was independent with a child.
And to think that this dude,oh he looks weird. This dude
was just roaming around my town.Oh, I cannot even deal. I
give huge, huge, huge kudos. Is to the police department and the

(09:20):
forces that were on top of this. I commend you deeply as a woman
who, what like I stated, was independent, had her own place,
was alone. Okay, in acity that this happens to, it happens
in every city. You could probablybe in the safest city and this happens
in your backyard. Like I saidbefore, this happens everywhere. Let me

(09:43):
see what Ohio ranks in the traffickingstuff. So I just typed into Google
what is Ohio's rank in sex trafficking? And so many articles came up.
In twenty seventeen, it said Ohioranks fourth in US for numbers of calls

(10:03):
of National Human Trafficking Hotline. Toledorated fourth for youth sex trade in the
United States and that was posted Februaryeleventh, twenty ten. September thirteenth,
twenty eighteen. Ohio is currently numberfour in sex trafficking rates twenty twenty one
trafficking in person's reports. Oh mygosh, this is just insane. So

(10:33):
so I we take a private airplane. Um, not that we're a bougie
like that, but my boyfriend's dadhe owns an airplane. So when we
fly. We fly in his cutelittle I can't even tell you the name
of it anymore. I don't evenremember the name. But we'll go into
private airports and there are signs blastedeverywhere. Um, this is for women.

(10:58):
This is for the women out here. This could save your life.
There there's posted phone numbers everywhere.I'm not going to tell you where because
I don't want somebody to get justand not let you go to the bathroom.
But they are everywhere. And ifyou need to memorize a number in
your life as a young woman,I recommend memorizing this number that I'm about

(11:26):
to tell you. It is theIt's it's the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
It's eight eight eight three seven threeseven eight eight eight. If you know
or you see any type of suspiciousactivity, called the non emergency number of
your local police or the twenty fourhour Human Trafficking hotline. I would also

(11:48):
kind call nine one one. Iwouldn't even take the time to search my
local police station number, even thoughthat's saved in my phone. But to
save a life, to save ato save a woman, to save even
a young boy, even anybody who'swho you think is being trafficked. If
it doesn't look right, it doesn'tsmell right, it doesn't act right,

(12:09):
it's not right. Call the numbereven if you're wrong. It's better to
be safe than sorry. Again, the number is eight eight eight three seven
three seven eight eight eight. Ido have a question though, for the
governor. I want to know whatis being done? What more can we

(12:35):
be doing as as Ohioans? Whatcan we be putting in place? Is
there any any any other ways toprevent this from happening? Like it's I'm
going to look up the exact numberof what Ohio's ranking is. Okay,

(12:56):
So, as of June twenty twentytwo, Ohio ranks fifth for human trafficking
incidences. However, the state's rateof human trafficking is about three point eight
four victims per one hundred thousand residents, putting Ohio at fourth worst ratio in
the nation. Y'all, that isabsolutely horrifying. The number one is California.

(13:20):
The top ten, okay, so, the top ten is Mississippi,
District of Columbia, the Vada,Missouri, Nebraska, California, Oregon,
Florida. Oh my goodness, butthe number one city is Los Angeles.
What cities in Ohio have most humantrafficking. This improved in twenty twenty two,

(13:43):
as Ohio currently ranks fourth in theUS for the number of reported human
trafficking cases within Ohio. Mahoning andTrumbull Counties are two of the major reporting
hot spots. That was posted onat as dot com June sixteenth, twenty
twenty two. How do you spottrafficking signs? Warning signs of human trafficking,

(14:09):
Appearing malnourished, signs of physical injuriesand abuse, avoiding eye contact,
Social interaction and authority figure slash lawenforcement seeming to adhere or scriptured or rehearsed
responses in social interaction, lacking officialidentification documents, says more items. Let
this pull up. Oh, thereis a lot? Okay, so working

(14:33):
excessively long hours, living out aplace of employment, checking into hotels motels
with older men, and referring tothose males as boyfriends or quote daddy,
which is often street slang for pimp. Poor physical or dental health tattoos,
branding on the neck or lower back, untreated, sexually transmitted diseases, small
children serving in a family restaurant. That's scary. Security measures that appear to

(14:58):
keep people inside and established barbed wireinside of fences, bars covering the inside
of windows, not allowing people togo into public or speak for themselves.
Interesting it says, what are thethree red flags for human trafficking? Red
flags for sex trafficking? Person seemsoverly fearful, submissive, tense, or

(15:20):
paranoid. Person is deferring to anotherperson before giving information. Person has physical
injuries or branding such as name tattooson face or chest, tattoos about money,
insects are or pimp phrases. It'sjust better to be safe than sorry.
If you see something totally wrong, please say something. As far as

(15:45):
these discussing vile human beings that arecommitting these crimes, they're destroying lives,
They're ruining mothers, daughters, nieces, sons, brothers, lives, and
they don't care. There needs tobe higher punishment. Life in prison is
just ridiculous. I'm not saying whatI think should happen. I don't want

(16:07):
to get booted from my network, but it's just absolutely horrifying, especially on
children. Could you imagine your principleor your superintendent is involved in this and
people want to say, oh,you know we're gonna touch based on this
real quick, but before that,we're going to go into a break.

(16:32):
These days, it seems like everybody'stalking, but no one is actually listening
to the things they're saying. Criticalthinking isn't dead, but it's definitely low

my episode of pillotoc with Allie Michelle. I am your host, Ellie Michelle,
and we are going over the NorthOlmstead sex trafficking sting that just took
place. It hits home to me, it's in my it's near my town.

(17:15):
I've been there. It's absolutely horrifying. So there's this huge uproar about
allowing boys into the girl's bathroom inelementary schools. Could you could do you
understand how dangerous that is? Andthis is an anti trans This is an
anti gay. This is pro protectionof our young girls. Allowing a boy

(17:37):
or men who are who are justself identifying, has no nothing other than
they just claim that they want tobe a girl today. Going into that
little girl's bathroom is a setup ordisaster. These girls are absolutely terrified into
the locker rooms. There needs tobe rules. Now, if you're transitioning

(18:02):
and you want to go into aseparate whatever, sure let's build a separate
area for you. But to gointo a little girl who's ten years old
changing for gym class, or oryou know she started her her girls thing
and you know you want to boydto be in there, look at what's

(18:25):
going on. Parents need to startspeaking up. And that's another thing that
I'm so passionate about is parents arebecoming so fearful of the school system.
It's disgusting. You are your child'sadvocate, You are your only child's advocate.
If you're not standing up for them, who will stop being afraid of
these people like the superintendent stopping fearfulbecause you could be saving lives. I'm

(18:49):
not saying every superintendent, sand I'mnot saying every teacher's bad. That's not
what I'm saying. But as parents, it is our soul duty to protect
our children. If you are not, shame the heck on you. So
keep an eye out on kids.Keep an eye out on your neighbors.
You should love your neighbor. Youshouldn't have you know, you shouldn't be
anti neighbor. Keep an eye out. We're supposed to protect one another before

(19:12):
we depend on other people to protectus. Like you know the government.
No protect your neighbor, protect yourfamily, Protect your loved ones at all
costs. Watch out for specific signs, signs of abuse, signs of neglect,
all of which you could be savinga life. And with that,
I am going to let you guys, enjoy the rest of your day.
