Speaker 5 (03:28):
Oh, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, chilling all ages.
Welcome back to another episode of PCW podcast Championship Wrestling.
I am your host, Wayne also known as Semi Dry Chicken,
and it is time to review Backlash. We got there,
(03:52):
We're done, and we're already moving on. All gas, no brakes.
We're literally going to right in the Saturday night main event.
No chill, it's it's it's hell uh. And you know
what I thought about today, which is really funny, is
I've had some people ask like how long will you
(04:14):
go with this podcast? And you know, some people just
do it until they just can't do it no more.
And I'm always like, well, there you're not. There's always
as I'll take a break. You know, there's a break
in wrestling. No, there's no break in wrestling. We don't
have no off season. We're non stop. COVID can't stop it,
(04:35):
nothing can stop it wrestling is it's every fucking day now.
But that said, let me bring out my guest here
we go.
Speaker 9 (04:45):
Oh it's okay. I'm like like, it's on me now.
Speaker 8 (05:12):
I'm gonna get him all.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I'm gonna get him all.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
Welcome back, dra.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
Yo yo, what it do? Pc W Crew main event?
Dre So was back on your podcast.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
How is the weather there?
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Shitty shitty as hell?
Speaker 6 (05:41):
Started off okay, and then as the day went on,
they gradually got more and more ominous, and then all
hell broke loose set around five o'clock or so. It's
been storming since. It seems to have calmed down a
bit now though.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Right it just seems like the whole East Coast is
getting head with garbage head.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
H m hm.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
So if we lose you during the podcast, we know
it's due to the storm sore. But yeah, all right,
well let's bring out our buddy, Let's bring out our partner.
Let's bring out.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 11 (06:26):
Mmmmmm mm hmmm.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
H.
Speaker 6 (06:36):
M hm.
Speaker 11 (06:39):
M m.
Speaker 12 (06:42):
M hmmm.
Speaker 13 (06:44):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
Doyle.
Speaker 8 (06:50):
Oh, it's me, It's me.
Speaker 12 (06:52):
It's a Doyle and uh yeah, what is the ta
here too? I guess it is an all East coast
all rain.
Speaker 8 (07:00):
Uh, well we need.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
A rain, no shine, Yeah, we do needed it though
my plants needed law needed it. Everything at my job
outside is dusty and disgusting. It needed it. So yeah,
I'm all for it because you know what, after this,
I kind of want to go kayaking and the water
will be pretty high. So I'm all for it, guys,
(07:27):
but nice. So backlash takes place Saint Louis. You know,
hometown of ye home of Randy Orton. Uh if you
have guys, ever been out there to like the arch
(07:47):
in St. Louis.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
No, No, never been to Saint Louis.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
I was there like two years ago. I was so
I got some pictures and I even got like this
really nice poster I have hanging up or not poster
artwork hanging on my wall. I went. It was really
hot when I went, and I guess they have these
rides that take you up all the way up through
(08:13):
but I was thinking of how hot it was, and
I was like, and you want to put me in
a metal bin and take me up higher, closer to
the sun, and you want me to pay money for
this experience. I was like, I don't think so I'll
come back I'll come back when it's cooler out you know.
There was a really nice car show right by the river,
right by the Mississippi River. That was cool to see. Ah, yeah,
(08:37):
that's pretty cool out there. I saw a lot of
wrestlers and some other podcasters taking pictures of themselves out there.
So it's always cool. And they visit the monuments in
the area, just like when they came to Philly, people
taking pictures by the Rocky Statue and the steps and
all that shit. You know, where I live, there's a pagoda,
(08:59):
but you never see when they come here. You never
see them go up to the pagoda and get their
pistures taken. Nobody wants to go there. Actually, when wrestlers
will come here, me and my friends, Me and Ron,
we would normally find them in Hooters.
Speaker 12 (09:13):
So I've been to that pagoda.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Yeah, this one near my house.
Speaker 8 (09:22):
Redding.
Speaker 12 (09:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can see how many there being.
Speaker 6 (09:27):
Yeah they Yeah, in the United States, I've got we
got one here Infolk.
Speaker 12 (09:33):
In Eastern in in Redding, in the Redding area. Yeah,
in the Greater Redden area. You get a pa and
you better get a pagoda.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
Man, I don't I'm about to say, we damn s
got a random ass pagoda in Norfolk by the Water.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
It's not like it ain't trying to town. It ain't nothing.
That's just downtown Norfolk by the Water right next.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
To I've got what ship there's like permanently docked bear
ye and then pagoda.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
It's not like, uh, it's not like the Beacons and
Lord of the Rings like the pagoda and then everybody
likes their pagodas all across the country. Yeah, they put
a fence around there, but uh it's yeah, the day
can go up, but like at night because I guess
they had too many people partying up there, so they
(10:24):
fenced it all off. But I get a great view
of it from my house. That's that's good enough for me.
But every time, like you know, somebody who's not from
this area comes up here, they're like, oh my god,
you have a pagoda. Yes, yes, you know it's not
the Statue of Liberty, but you know whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
That's when you guys just gotta act boogie about it,
like what you don't but.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
You don't have one. Jeez, God, crap down.
Speaker 6 (10:53):
Right to your shitty ass time with no pagoda.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Yea, he's taking my town. Well, you know.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
What, You're also not bad for a place that ain't
got a pagoda.
Speaker 8 (11:08):
St.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Louis culture. They have some big random march ah. You
know what, I'm just gonna let you take over and
I'm just gonna ramble on forever.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Turn into a whole show about pagodas and ship right.
So yeah, backlashes.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
Wayne said was in Saint Louis at the Enterprise Center,
which big as city, like Saint Louis, big ass arena.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
No NBA team really, oh ship?
Speaker 8 (11:45):
Yeah, you're right, Yeah, the Blue must play there, right.
Speaker 6 (11:52):
That's all like, like, who the fuck plays there? Like
they don't have an NBA, they don't have the Rams anymore.
The Cardinals in at the baseball team there. Yeah, so,
I mean they got to obviously their baseball field. I
don't know if they have hockey, but yes, oh.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Okay, fair enough.
Speaker 6 (12:19):
But well so, I guess it's enough for seventeen thousand
plus fans to go ten hockey.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Games in the Midwest. Whatever works for them.
Speaker 6 (12:28):
I ain't judging much, yeah much, But anyway, so this show,
before we even dive into the matches themselves, one thing
I do want to touch on, well, two things I
want to touch on before we get into the individual
matches and break them down. You kind of touched on
(12:49):
it a bit way in at the beginning. But this
insane fucking pl calendar that WWE has going right now, Yeah,
and it is not letting up anytime soon as far
as them just having event after event with little to
no time in between. Because what this backlash were what
(13:11):
three weeks removed from WrestleMania, Yeah, and we got backlash,
And here's some of the events coming up. So obviously
backlash was this past Saturday seventeenth, Saturday Night's Main event,
May twenty fourth, June seventh, Money in the Bank June
(13:32):
twenty eighth, Night of Champions July fifth, tentatively rumored a
evolution the all women Women's pay per view, July twelfth,
another Saturday Nights made event. Then three weeks later we
get the two Nights Summer Slam. Then at the end
(13:54):
of the month, Clash in Paris August thirty first. Then
they finally calm the fuck down a little bit because
nothing happens in September as of now, and Crown Jewel
is on October eleventh, then Survivors Series on November twenty fifth,
and then Saturday Night's Made Event December thirteenth.
Speaker 12 (14:16):
Well, I think it's pretty clear what's happened, saying they
must have gotten word that Wayne finally had some programming
for us between pay per viewers, and then they said, oh,
you know what, We're just not gonna have any time
between pay per viewers now, right, so break.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
Like I was like, man, like, I would love to
squeeze in like some of these cool bracket ideas I.
Speaker 8 (14:33):
Have, right, and like, yeah, no, it's just we.
Speaker 5 (14:37):
Just don't have the time. We're getting hammered non stop.
And uh it's not letting up. It's not like now
they're adding more and more WWE content than ever. And
you know what, I've had people at like other listeners
and just other people generally, why don't you guys cover
like raw and SmackDown, And like, aw, I'm like, because
(14:59):
we don't have time. We have barely enough time to
cover just the pay per views because they come at
us so fucking quick, you know, Uh yeah.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
I mean yeah, I mean I would like to be
able to tune into a w moore or see what's
going on over there and chat chat on it every
now and then. But honestly, with as much stuff that
happens that's going on in the E right now, and realistically,
we're humans, we have interests outside of just wrestling.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
What.
Speaker 6 (15:31):
I don't know how many days of the week I
want to completely commit to watching wrestling, especially as it
is now Raw Monday, and XT Tuesday, Dynamite Wednesday, A
Break maybe on Thursday, smack Down.
Speaker 8 (15:43):
Friday, right.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
And Saturday's Collision.
Speaker 12 (15:54):
And if you want to watch these others they've gotten
now uh, Evolve and Evolve.
Speaker 8 (16:04):
And there's a Twitter show. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (16:12):
You gotta pick and choose what you're gonna watch, what
what you're gonna focus on and investing and obviously some
stuff is worth your time more than others. You know,
as I like to watch NXT, Do I catch it
every week? No, But if something pops up there or
if I have time, yeah, I'll tune in, especially if
there's something going on that catches my attention, especially evolving
(16:33):
the women, because you know, they they've been marketing and
promoted for a while that the women's division in NXT
is the best division women's division in wrestling, and they
ain't wrong.
Speaker 8 (16:45):
They're not wrong.
Speaker 6 (16:48):
They gave them show got an argument, and quite frankly,
right now, the women are probably carrying NXT a lot
more than the men.
Speaker 5 (16:56):
Well, you know what, the women are gonna have a
chance to shine because July twelfth this year, they're going
to be doing a w W evolution two p l E.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
But guys, it's the fifth, well the fifth we're doing?
Speaker 8 (17:11):
What day? It is?
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Like the fifth or the twelfth?
Speaker 6 (17:13):
Because Saturday night made have ventislaated for the twelfth evolution.
I think I saw the rumors that it might be
the twelfth, Like one, how the fuck are you gonna
do two things on the same night? Are you gonna
move dates? Are you gonna switch evolution in main event
in the morning and.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
Then they're gonna do main event at night while a
w all in Texas.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Is on, which is fucking insane.
Speaker 6 (17:38):
But even with that, regardless of how they doing with
the days, my main point in bringing up all those
dates is and to and to bring it back to
backlash is with such short time frames between these events,
how the hell are you expected to build any of
this ship up in a way that makes people truly interested?
(18:01):
It's near impossible you're pretty much just throwing matches together,
like next Show, throwing these big matches.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Next show, throw these big matches in. They almost run
the risk of.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
Becoming what people have started to what people have criticized
AW four, just throwing together big name matches without much story.
I'm not saying that they're there yet, but with this
type of schedule, there's a risk of it. And and
if you're just throwing matches together without any real build
(18:35):
up or without much time in between it, without any
time for the fans to get invested, the quality is
gonna suffer. Even if the match itself is great, people
just aren't gonna give a shit because there's no investment,
there's no build, there's no story, there's no reason for
me to care.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
About this outcome.
Speaker 6 (18:54):
And I think some of that played into this backlash
PLA because we them we had matches that seemed to
be pretty quickly thrown together without a whole lot of
build up on them, or just kind of piggyback on
some other existing stuff. Was like, all right, you two
(19:15):
already don't like each other, fight again and mixing in
with others. The perfect example of that is this first
match we had on the pl Jacob fa to defending
his United States Championship that he just won the other
day against two guys, two guys who don't like each
(19:37):
other and Damian Prieston, Drew McIntire and the guy who
he beat for the championship La Night. Was there much
storyline build up to it? Nope, it was, Hey, you
beat that guy, defend it against him. You two motherfuckers
don't like each other. Y'all fight each other and throw it.
Get mixed in with them too as well.
Speaker 12 (19:58):
I think Drew and Priest was was an attempt to
elevate the US title and Jacob would.
Speaker 8 (20:11):
Right.
Speaker 6 (20:11):
Yeah, I'm not saying it's a completely terrible decision where
everything was just fully haphazard, but.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
There wasn't also a whole lot.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Out of the build an into this because Priest and
Priest and Drew were just beefing with each other because
they just don't like each other going into WrestleMania, and
then suddenly they just walk out of that and say,
I want to be US Champion.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
I want to be US Champion too. Fuck you man.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
You We have two guys going into this that probably
don't need to be in this this match at all,
versus the former champion and a guy who's rise on
the top and Doyle, You're right, man, like they put
those two other guys in there just to elevate Jacob
and the title. But at the end of the way
(20:57):
the match ended, none of that can matter because it.
Speaker 8 (21:02):
More or less broke up. It broke into two matches.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
Yeah, and it didn't need to. I really think the
way it ended, I mean, should we get into it
like how it ended?
Speaker 6 (21:13):
Yeah, yeah, I mean we can go there. I mean
the match itself now getting into the matches. So it
was a good match, yeah, fun, Yeah, yeah, yeah, it
was a good fun match, heavy hitting, a lot of
crazy spots they went at it. It was a good
match to kick off the paper the pl which and
then obviously it gave us a shock finish after you know,
(21:34):
Damien Preest damn there killed Drew cracking his head off
the concrete with that South of.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Heaven outside the ring.
Speaker 6 (21:41):
But yeah, we got the surprise finish with the debut
of what was that dude, Dame Jeff Cob Jeff Cobb
aka Samoan Number forty eight.
Speaker 8 (21:54):
He's not.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
I know, but that's how people are gonna basically view
it as like another one.
Speaker 12 (22:00):
Yeah, it's a little bit that they might change his name,
but I don't know how substantial.
Speaker 8 (22:06):
That is because the first they were doing the like
it was a good call them. Jeff Cobb though, right.
Speaker 5 (22:15):
Past, yes, yeah, real quick here, guys, Jeff Cobb former
amateur wrestler. He signed with w W asive.
Speaker 8 (22:26):
But that's very much a short styll he was.
Speaker 12 (22:31):
He was an Olympian, I believe, not for America. For
some countries that I think he's Filipino, some hungry. It's
not the Philippines, and it is in the United States.
But I'm pretty sure he was an Olympic.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
He's best known from his ten years in Luca Underground
in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he was a member
of the United Empire.
Speaker 8 (22:54):
They had a lot of Luca Underground folks.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Mmmm, oh yeah, you right here.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Though.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
In the amateur wrestling, Cop represented Guam in the two
thousand and four where he became the national flag bearer
and opening ceremony competing in the men's light heavyweight freestyle category.
He transitioned into professional.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Yeah, definitely got the credentials in the background that bows well.
Speaker 12 (23:23):
Yeah, and I don't know if they had a breaking
damn knock on the wrong side of Fording.
Speaker 5 (23:29):
He looked like a combination of Rhino and Bo Dallas.
It does right, like a heavy a heavy boat downs.
But I rolled my eyes at it, like I I
enjoyed the match, you know, I like the spot with
Drew and and we had a priest on the outside
(23:51):
the the how was it called that that choke slim
heat the.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Southern South of Heaven?
Speaker 5 (23:57):
South of Heaven, that's what south of Heaven? Yeah, and
he takes out Drew. So these guys take each other out,
and you know that we have this whole interference with
Solo and Jeff and like I'm just like why why,
I'm like, like he does not need this help. But
the way that ended, he didn't want the help, right,
(24:20):
like just the way he took that, like you know,
like what the hell? You know, like I can do
this by myself. I was doing it by myself. I
didn't need you here like that look, and you know,
are we getting We discussed about maybe like the title
getting taken off him from Solo, but I mean this
news guy's gotta shine, this Jeff Copp, but like, what
(24:41):
what's is he going to be the guy to step
up the to take it off him, or like are
we rebuilding the bloodline three point zero or two point five?
Like what are we doing?
Speaker 8 (24:52):
Why?
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Why?
Speaker 6 (24:53):
We Apparently they have some history together Jeff Cobbin and
uh Jacob Fatu. I think they've had matches on the indies.
Some people have kind of touched on that with the
way Fatu stared him down, you know, so maybe.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
They'll play on that.
Speaker 6 (25:12):
And I'm suspecting that they will probably play on the
fact that Jacob does not like Jeff cobb because of
their because they have a past, whether they mentioned it
of you know, they have a past on the indie
circuit or some other sort of k Fabes storyline pass,
I'm pretty sure they're gonna play into that in some way,
(25:33):
shape or form. And if nothing else, they did at
least advance this storyline with between Solo and Jacob Fatu
and their rising tension. So maybe Solo since it that,
you know, Jacob doesn't submit to him as readily as
he used to. He ain't heard I Love You Solo
(25:54):
in a couple of months, so maybe he's like he
sees the writing on the wall, so he just got
his new guy yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (26:02):
Yeah, yeah. I mean they definitely don't seem to be
on the same page, right.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
I mean, yeah, these guys, these guys had seventeen minutes
and fifty five seconds to cook and for an opening match.
I was pretty intrigued all the way up until the finish.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
You know, what the hell I didn't, I didn't mind
to finish.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
I guess I'm surprised at how big of a pop
that Jeff Cobb got when he came out, because, like
I said, I saw him and I was just like, oh, okay,
random someone in number forty eight, But he got a
huge pop, and I'm like, Okay, apparently these people know
who the hell he is. Yeah, we shall see where
they go from there. Any other final thoughts on this match?
Speaker 5 (26:55):
You know, I we all know that Jacob's just going
nothing but fucking but like I don't. This is where
I was talking about last episode L A. Knight. He said,
this man took the pen and now he's just gonna
flounder in the mid cards. And I think Damien and
Drew still aren't done with their ship. I think they're
gonna carry on their feud, unfortunately for a little bit longer.
Speaker 6 (27:18):
Yeah, you know, they got to have some sort of
gimmick match to seal it up or put the final
touch on their feud.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Hopefully they don't go ahead.
Speaker 12 (27:31):
I was just gonna say, I maintained that I hate
you Sol It's gonna be the popular summer.
Speaker 8 (27:37):
Dude.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
I hold on to that.
Speaker 8 (27:38):
Man.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
If you were to place like a dollar bet five
dollars bet, that seems like a pretty good bet, you know,
I hold on to.
Speaker 8 (27:47):
That team you so lo.
Speaker 6 (27:50):
Yeah, but they've been they they better hurry up and
get to it then, because obviously everybody sees it there. Yeah,
like the split is pretty much all but having officially happened,
the more they drag it out, the more they gonna
lose interest, and then the less impact that moment will
finally have. And yeah, Ellie and I like I said
(28:16):
it a number of episodes ago. He's he's peaked and
now he's making a gradual slow decline mm hm as
of right now.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
And Priest and Drew, Yeah, they'll keep going.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
I just I hope they don't do the cliche thing
of all right, we gotta finish it up hell in
the cell, Like, don't do that.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
I don't mind them, I.
Speaker 12 (28:41):
Think they're gonna but maybe not hell La style, maybe
the last man standing or something that wouldn't surprise me.
Speaker 6 (28:49):
I think I guess I'd be okay with the last
man standing. I'm okay with them having a steel cage match.
I think that would work fine. It just doesn't need
to be hell in the cell. But I'll be good
with them finishing their match in just a regular steel
cage match.
Speaker 8 (29:05):
Yeah, I mean, we've got.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Right.
Speaker 8 (29:09):
It's gonna be a lot of opportunities.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
Right, throw a dart at the board, which poe, you
want to finish this off at a right? So moving
on from that match, Next up we had Irish Civil
War between Lyra Valkyria, the women's in a Continental champion
defending against Becky Lynch.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Now, this match was good. It like that.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
I don't have anything negative to say about the match
itself from a technical standpoint. My only critique is that
I don't know if this did for Lyra Valkyria what
they wanted it to do in terms of elevating her
by giving her a clean when over somebody the caliber
(30:03):
of Becky Lynch.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Like that match like something like that.
Speaker 6 (30:07):
When you say it on paper, it should mean something
like you know, Lara Beef Larra Valkaria beat Becky Lynch clean,
that should matter, That should change how you view somebody.
But to me, I don't know if it moved the needle,
especially when Becky Lynch just beat the ship out of
her right after the match, So that that's my only I.
Speaker 12 (30:29):
Think the jury, I think the jury is going to
be out on that. Uh, you know, like you know,
we've seen them do this in the past for people.
You know, when often Theory beat Tina WrestleMania, right, and
it's for successful that's like a water seed moment for them, right,
They're able to take that and run with it, right.
Speaker 8 (30:48):
And now, I mean I think it remains to be
seen whether Lira can do that.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Yeah, I didn't. I agree with that.
Speaker 6 (30:57):
There's still she can still make it have the impact
that it's supposed to.
Speaker 12 (31:03):
Yes, And and we haven't really had a chance because
admit may or may not have broken her nose or something.
Speaker 8 (31:09):
Uh, the end of that match was kind of clunky.
Speaker 12 (31:11):
But other than that for me, and I mean, I
hate to toot my own horn, but to too, I
said it would be the match of the night, and
for me it was with the exception of that kind
of clunky finish uh and Becky like very obviously calling
a lot of spots.
Speaker 8 (31:31):
But other than the accident, I thought was very good. Yeah.
Speaker 12 (31:36):
I continue to think Lyra uh it's going to be
a superstar of the future along with Tiffany there.
Speaker 8 (31:43):
I think they're the night But that mean, but then
you get all these NFC girls about to come up. Uh.
Speaker 12 (31:47):
So the whole landscape may may change for the better
any day now, But for me, it gave Lyra uh,
you know, a big win against the future Hall of Famer.
And what you can do with it is what you know,
(32:08):
remains to be seen.
Speaker 8 (32:10):
She's been given the she's given the keys to the car.
Can she how to drive it? Right? Right?
Speaker 2 (32:17):
True? True?
Speaker 6 (32:17):
Let me ask you this, though, Doll in this few
I'm pretty sure we both think that we both agree
that this view is not over right.
Speaker 14 (32:26):
No, yeah, yeah, they might be kind of forever opponents.
I'm surprised Becky wasn't going after.
Speaker 12 (32:35):
Lives her comeback to you because because that because Live
walked around saying about how she retired Becky Lynch.
Speaker 8 (32:42):
I thought that was a natural. Uh.
Speaker 15 (32:45):
I guess they wanted to turn Becky heel this is
the way to do it. Yeah, it makes no sense
if it's lived. But I think Bailey probably coming back
the few with Becky maybe maybe a thing.
Speaker 6 (32:59):
So you think that feud, so you think that the
Becky Lyra thing might be over in the immediate future.
You don't think that they're gonna Becky's not gonna still
come after her, or Lyra might not try to get
her locked back after that.
Speaker 8 (33:12):
It's certainly possibility. I would not. I'm not taking that
out the table.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
The only reason why I bring that up is because
I don't for me personally, I don't think that they're
necessarily done, that this this feud is done yet. I
think Becky still is going to be pursuing Lyra for
that Intercontinental championship, and I think at some point Becky
is probably going to take it off of her. And
(33:39):
if that is the case in all caps, If if
that is the case, then I don't know if this
again back to my point of elevating Lyra, I don't
know if that happens, if this feud culminates in her
losing that Intercontinental championship to Becky lynch.
Speaker 8 (34:02):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
I think the I think what really the one thing
that would elevate the only way she elevates from this
feud is she has to be the one to come
out on top definitively, and maybe Becky might be the
one to you know, challenge for that title multiple times
and lose every single time.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Maybe that will happen. It's a case of I believe
that when I see.
Speaker 8 (34:28):
It, m hm, I am liking.
Speaker 12 (34:33):
I will say that, yeah, promos, she's done something very
similar to Stana but much better in my opinion.
Speaker 6 (34:42):
And that promo she cut this past Monday, all raw
was was a good one. She's leaning into the quote,
Becky Hogan, you know label she's being been hit, and.
Speaker 12 (34:54):
That's always been the way of pro wrestling, right like
the things that that have a have uh a tinge
of reality worked about usually right right.
Speaker 6 (35:07):
And she's almost kind of taken what I had pitched,
the uh storyline I had picked pitched for Bianca, in
the sense of, oh, this is how y'all see me.
I bet I'm gonna get y'all exactly what y'all want.
Not saying that Becky that Bianca can't still do it,
I still think she very much can and probably doing
(35:27):
it in even more aggressive way than what Becky's doing.
But I picked up on that in the feud or
in Becky's promo Monday, Where are you at on this match?
Speaker 2 (35:38):
Wayne?
Speaker 4 (35:39):
You know.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
Valkyrie Valkyria. Sorry, she's on her way out, man, like
this girl beat Bailly won two titles at WrestleMania. Next feud.
After Bailly, we're talking at one of the original four
horsewomen that she's taking out, Becky Lynch. I feel like
Bailey comes back. You know, obviously Bailey is gonna be
(36:03):
a face, right Becky still heal. Bailey and Becky aren't
gonna get along. They both I think we're gonna get
a triple threat of some kind. I think I think
Valkyria is gonna have both of them on her tail
and I just say, on her feathers, on her wingtips.
She's gonna have both of them chop at her to
get this title, and she's gonna overcome both of them,
(36:25):
uh not just beat them in singles matches, whether it's
a roll up or however, she's gonna put them away.
But I think they're gonna try to stack the odds
against her even more. Uh, I mean, I really did not.
I mean I've been proven wrong time and time again
with this girl because I'm like, yeah, there's no way
(36:46):
they're putting two titles on her. What did they fucking
do they put two titles on her? You know, I'm like,
no way, Becky's gonna totally wipe the floor there, and no,
that's not what happened. Uh So, I wouldn't be surprised
if they try to stack the odds in her favor
or against her. You know, with Bailey coming back, you know,
(37:07):
I have unfinished business with her, and Becky obviously has
unfinished business with her. And I mean what happens when
the two girls who are always you know, grants, you know,
the Grand Slam champions, what if they aren't no more?
What if they just can't grasp that high seat title
right now? And you know that kind of elevates it
(37:28):
and elevates her. I mean, the way this match was
structured and past it allow them both to showcase you know,
good wrestling ability and a story in the ring. You know,
we've seen some bloody elbows and what some people thought
looked like vomit in in in her hair. I think
(37:51):
it was like, yeah, part of her feathers or something
like that.
Speaker 8 (37:56):
Oh yeah, Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
I that threw me off because because that's why I.
Speaker 5 (38:04):
Sit closer to the TV. I was like, it looks
like vomit or something in her hair, Like I think
it's like glittering and crap.
Speaker 8 (38:13):
Did you come in late? You were like, what the yeah?
Speaker 6 (38:17):
I was about to say yeah, because I came in
late during the match because I watched the US title
match while I was at the gym on the treadmill.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
As soon as that match ended, I left the.
Speaker 6 (38:26):
Gym, came home, and I came put it on like
somewhere in the middle of this match, and I just
see this stuff in his hair. I'm like, Yo, why
the fuck all that dan drift in her hair?
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Like what the ring?
Speaker 5 (38:38):
And I feel like Becky mentioned it on Raw like
about her having looked like puke in her hair or something.
Speaker 12 (38:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
I tried not to laugh when she comes out with
the whole bird wings. I just think that the guys,
it's always sunny. I can't help it. You can change
the color of it. But that's what I'm gonna think
of you away. I think it's funny. Becky Lynch mocked
curious fiance. This uh is Irish wrestler who's sitting in
the front.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Row mocked that motherfucker.
Speaker 8 (39:13):
Like a big deal.
Speaker 6 (39:15):
You go, you know, you see guys everybody.
Speaker 5 (39:20):
Yeah, it's like, uh but yeah, apparently she was holding
her nose after the match. Michael Cole said it might
have been broken, but I don't know if there's any
truth to that.
Speaker 8 (39:36):
Yeah, we haven't heard. The dirts have been very quiet
about that. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (39:40):
Yeah, and I mean that finished damsel didn't look clean
because that's not a natural roll up that you see
and where you're holding somebody by one hand with one
arm and got your face your other hands on your
face to your nose, like right, look very clear and
obvious that something was wrong or something is damaged, hurt
(40:01):
affecting her or something.
Speaker 8 (40:03):
Yeah, that miss was clunky, but other than that, that's
the matches great.
Speaker 6 (40:08):
Yeah, other than that, the match was solid, and yet
once again she wins another match without her finisher, Like
at some point, either either she needs to get a
new finisher that actually works, or she needs to start
winning these.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Damn matches with her finisher.
Speaker 6 (40:28):
And I think that's another thing that at least for me,
it's kind of affecting how much the needle moves for
me with her.
Speaker 5 (40:35):
It's because it seems like when just getting.
Speaker 6 (40:39):
Exactly when you when you keep getting these wins, it's
like you're not definits. You're getting the win, but you're
not beating these people. It's like you're just you're finding
a way to get by. You're finding a way to survive,
as opposed to saying like, nah, motherfucker, here's my finisher
boom down one, two three, I beat you.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
Well, then we shouldn't talk about too much. It's got
dirty dom then, huh.
Speaker 8 (41:04):
I.
Speaker 6 (41:06):
See he's a He's a heel though, so it it
kind of works more with heels because he'lls have the
whole by hook or by crook mentality.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (41:16):
And it's not too often that you see a if
you think about it, not too often you see a
heel just definitively hit my finisher pin you clean win
over somebody. There's almost always some sort of shenanigans or
fuckery involved in a heel win, but usually the babyface
(41:37):
when they win. It's supposed to be clean and clear
and definitive.
Speaker 8 (41:42):
Yeah. And plus gom's not just a heel, he's like
a chicken stead heel.
Speaker 5 (41:46):
Yeah, right, don't get me wrong. I do like heels
though that that put away people clean, just like a
clean like you know Gunter was doing that, was just
putting away guys clean as a heel without any tactics.
Mark Henry when he was doing the World's Strongest Man gimmick,
(42:08):
you know, like the House of Pain, he was just
coming out every week putting motherfuckers down without any help,
just clean putting them down. Russive when Russive for a
while was getting pushed when he was undefeated for a
while as a heel.
Speaker 6 (42:24):
But yeah, monster, Yeah it works for those when when
that's their character, you know, likes dominant. Yeah, being that
dominant heel monster character, then yeah, you you expect for
them to beat people clean.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
Right. So, like with what you guys are saying, like
how you know she really hasn't done many clean winds,
especially over Bailey and Becky, like this could lead to
a triple threat.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
Well, she's gotten clean winds.
Speaker 6 (42:59):
All her wins have been mean, they haven't involved any
kind of shenanigans, a fuckery. It's just that there's no
it's not definitive. It's not like a finisher that she
hits on people. It's like she'd be in the middle
of getting her ass whooped and then she'll just sneak
a roll up out of somewhere and get a three.
Speaker 5 (43:14):
Yeah. I think her finish is called the night wing.
Speaker 8 (43:17):
Right, You're right.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
Sounds sounds and sounds right, all right, I think.
Speaker 5 (43:26):
Chicken wing, but that's cross faced chicken wing. But that's
my opinion, Okay.
Speaker 6 (43:33):
Yeah, I mean everything she has everything going for us,
like everything about her to like, and I get, I
get why is why people gravitate to her and why
people like her Just for me personally, It's just it
hasn't fully curled over for me yet.
Speaker 8 (43:54):
I like her. She does have some work got tight
of the ring to do, although I did take her promo.
Speaker 12 (44:03):
And to go home ros pretty good, and her back
it's pretty good.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
Every time I see her outside of a wrestling match,
I like her.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
It's just the rest.
Speaker 6 (44:21):
It's just the matches themselves that aren't winning me over again.
And it's not for lack of ability. It's not for
lack of ability she showcases in the matches.
Speaker 8 (44:31):
She just mmm.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
She hasn't put her her stamp really on anything for
me yet. It's like it's like things are happening and
she's winning. But it'll it'll get there, I'm sure will
at some point. Anyhow, next match, the Intercott for the
(44:58):
Men's Intercontinental Championship thirty Dominate Mysterio defending against Penta, the
match that I thought that I thought was going to
be the match of the night and the match that
could have been potentially the match of the night until
(45:19):
we got that fuck ass finish. Everything about this match
was great and they ruined it with that bullshit ass finish.
They just had to put El Grande Americano in this
motherfucker just had to shoehorn this motherfucker in here.
Speaker 5 (45:43):
Wait, you're saying that's the worst part of this match.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
Oh my goodness for me, Okay, go ahead for me.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
I hated that to me. That killed it.
Speaker 6 (45:54):
Like Judgment, they showing up is to be expected. Again,
that's consistent with dom It's consistent with Judgment day.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
That's to be expected, right right, But.
Speaker 6 (46:07):
After they were kicked out and they were sent to
the back. One you're kicked out, you're sent to the back.
But somehow finn Bala still keeps just hops back up
on the fucking rope and just keeps arguing, like the
fuck and then Grinde comes up there with that little
dumb ass head. But yeah, that ruined the match for
(46:28):
me because before that, I mean, things have gone away.
I was expecting. We saw moves from Dominic Monstereira that
we had never seen before. He got to show off
more of his repertoire. He and Pens to have really
good chemistry in the wing. You can see them cooking. Like,
I was really impressed with what I was seeing from
dom and.
Speaker 8 (46:49):
Don really hasn't had a lot of chances to shine.
Speaker 12 (46:52):
He seems to usually be in tag matches or he's
just part of the fuckery or whatever.
Speaker 8 (46:57):
Like I feel like he hasn't gotten nearly enough run.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
He has little bit.
Speaker 6 (47:04):
Small, especially in this high profile of a situation that
didn't involve his dad. Mhm, he really got the showcase here,
And yeah, I really hated that fucking finish.
Speaker 8 (47:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (47:21):
I think I think work with Penta force him to
dig deep and really bring out his best, which let
him you know, maybe I have some of his better
end ring.
Speaker 6 (47:30):
Work, and I think he's He's touched on that and
in interviews before too. I think somebody asked him in
some recent interview why he doesn't do more, and he's like,
and he under he made a logical argument for it.
He's like, if I do a moon, if I do
a moon salt or something in every single match, that
moon salt doesn't mean anything.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
But if I do it once.
Speaker 6 (47:53):
In a blue moon, then when you see me do it,
it's like, oh ship he did that.
Speaker 2 (47:59):
Yeah, yeah, and that makes total sense.
Speaker 5 (48:02):
Kurd Angle used to do it. Remember when Kerdan Angle
used to do moon salts. It wasn't every fucking match,
but when he did it, it was like, what's gonna go
to the top rope?
Speaker 2 (48:11):
Right, especially because he had yeah and missed.
Speaker 5 (48:19):
Yes, there's a fan. I just saw that fan said
Razor Ramone had a toothpick that was harder than you.
I was just wanted the fans signs. You see. Dom's
outfit was a nonsense psychosis. Yeah yeah.
Speaker 8 (48:42):
He often has references stuff.
Speaker 6 (48:46):
Yeah yeah, I say his entire outfit I've seen somewhere
somebody broke it down, Like elements of his entire outfit
are notched to different famous Luta.
Speaker 5 (48:55):
Doors and I I mean there was a all of
a suicide dive into what uh a d d t
on the outside of the ring, which I thought was
pretty cool.
Speaker 8 (49:07):
There was another yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (49:09):
There was a Pensa jumped up over the reft, clear
like didn't touch the reft and touch the ropes. He
cleared that. I was just like impressed because you know,
he's a little bit older guy, but like a lot
of this stuff from Penta for me is new. So
I I enjoyed it, Like I really like this match.
I think, Uh, it's also nice seeing Dom Wressel another
(49:34):
another person his size that has the same style roughly
because uh, you know, if he's he's wrestling like the.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
L w O.
Speaker 5 (49:42):
All those guys I feel like are just a lot shorter,
a lot smaller, or he's you know, like you said,
he's in a tag match or something. But like, yeah,
I mean this IC title is really gonna show him.
Dom has the ability to fucking cook when you let him.
Speaker 8 (49:56):
You know, yeah, pretty clearly have been plans for him.
Speaker 5 (50:01):
Right and you know, nine minutes and twenty seconds, But
the rest was all tom foolery. Like it was just
I was enjoying the match all the way up till
the point when we had you know, judgment Day come out,
and then you know El Grande and Medicana, which first
off I popped. Secondly, it was so unnecessary because you
(50:22):
already had like how many other people out there, like
pen does never getting that icy title. And and if
this continues, like Dom's gonna hold onto this title for
quite some time until I guess Finn Balor takes it
off of him, because that's who I'm predicting who takes
the icy title off of them.
Speaker 15 (50:40):
But you know, I'm done making predictions about what is
is gonna happen with the Judgment Day because every time.
Speaker 8 (50:47):
I do, every time I got this is the end
of them. And then every weekday, every.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
Time they are, they're going to be w w's Bullet Club.
Speaker 6 (50:59):
Yeah, everybody in and out of Judgment Day at some point.
Speaker 16 (51:05):
Well, speaking of Finn, the fast couple of ras uh, yeah,
they kind of gotten away from it now there back
to it where they remember for a while he would
you know, somebody's walking.
Speaker 12 (51:16):
In the hallway and down the other end of the
hallway and and I was talking to.
Speaker 8 (51:21):
So and so. Uh, you know that's where the Live
and Dom stuff started.
Speaker 12 (51:27):
You miss it stuff has been in the background and
talking to rock fan Perez the past couple of ras,
so there might be something to keep an eye on.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
Yeah yeah, I saw that post it too.
Speaker 6 (51:44):
I don't know if she needs Judgment Day, but it
couldn't hurt, especially if live or and or Dom may
possibly be on their way out at some point. Then
you know, Judgment Day can't just be a go back
to being a whole sausage fest.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
They'll need some some other woman in.
Speaker 6 (52:09):
The group, which I think they definitely need, because I mean,
Judgment Day is really the well l w O two say,
Judgment Day is like one of the only factions that
has men and women in it, And is.
Speaker 2 (52:28):
It all one or the other? Alpha Academy, Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (52:34):
Do you consider are they even a faction anymore?
Speaker 2 (52:37):
They're more like a click Yeah.
Speaker 12 (52:39):
I think there's a sad gable factions as Ivy Nile.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
True True, American American Maid.
Speaker 8 (52:47):
American Maid.
Speaker 12 (52:48):
I always want to say American Alpha, but that was
that was Gable and uh the kid that got hurt.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Jordan Jason Jordan's I was going to say American male.
Speaker 8 (53:01):
American male, American male.
Speaker 6 (53:06):
That just goes to show there's too many groups or
factions or tag teams with American at the name of
the title, right, Yeah, Well.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Any other thoughts on this match before we get to
the main event.
Speaker 8 (53:22):
Oh, we saw I have won more match before the
main event.
Speaker 6 (53:25):
I said what I said, Dot, We'll move on to
the to the match that everybody wanted to see. Gunter
versus Pat McAfee for no other fucking reason than fuck
if I know.
Speaker 8 (53:46):
Yeah, Like, what the fuck was the point of this, dude?
Speaker 5 (53:50):
I was saying the same thing, like.
Speaker 8 (53:53):
Like, and why did granted.
Speaker 12 (53:56):
Guns As basically shrugged off all McAfee his offense and
feed him fairly easily.
Speaker 8 (54:02):
But why didnacafee get so much offense in at all?
Speaker 14 (54:05):
I just it makes this guy was just the world
champion and the one guy and the other guy sits
at the gask and black like.
Speaker 8 (54:13):
There's no universe where he should be in even sort
of competitive.
Speaker 2 (54:18):
I know where we were supposed to get that many comebacks.
Speaker 14 (54:21):
Yeah, well it didn't surprise me. Did a little bit
of offense and that that makes sense to me. But
it's just kept coming and kept coming and kept like.
Speaker 8 (54:29):
What like why was it so long? Like?
Speaker 5 (54:32):
Yeah, Docinate versus Penta for the Icy Title nine minutes,
twenty seconds. Counter versus Pat McAfee for Ships to Giggles
fourteen minutes.
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Right, those numbers should have been flipped.
Speaker 17 (54:44):
Yeah, watching there, like, well, this show couldn't get any worse.
Speaker 8 (54:52):
Uh that's uh, I'll talking about that pack. Yeah, I
just it baffles my.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
Mind, Like, but what.
Speaker 8 (55:04):
Was the point? Yeah, you know, and I think I
think we all thought Goldberg, but.
Speaker 12 (55:09):
We found somebody was gonna come and save McAfee, set
up something else for gun Through, right, and I'm just never.
Speaker 8 (55:15):
Like, okay, any second now, any second now, anything, nothing
we're going to.
Speaker 2 (55:26):
Any any second now, this is gonna happen.
Speaker 8 (55:28):
Nope.
Speaker 2 (55:28):
Instead, Pat McAfee come back number twelve.
Speaker 5 (55:31):
So I'm thinking after this match, I'm thinking, Okay, they're
gonna rte Pat McAfee off of TV for a while, Right,
he's gonna go do something contracts, I don't know whatever
it is. Right, No, fucking Pat McAfee comes back then
next time on Raw. But he shows up late, like
you know, just strolls out.
Speaker 6 (55:49):
Show before we even get to that though, before we
even get to that, after the match itself, the piece
to resistance of this fucking match. When he wins, does
Gunther like you attack him walk off this ground old
or piste off. No, he looks at this motherfucker and
nods his head, gives him respect.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Fucking shitn't me.
Speaker 6 (56:18):
This little fucking pencil dick motherfucker gets your respect because
he just wore an ass whipping and attempted to come
back eight nine times.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
Are you shitting me?
Speaker 6 (56:30):
That really pissed me off. He just looked at him
and was like it gives a little hand gesture or whatever,
like no, no.
Speaker 7 (56:37):
No, no, no, no, no no.
Speaker 5 (56:39):
He didn't shake his hands like like a bowels.
Speaker 6 (56:42):
No, no, he's not a handshake, but his little hand
gesture right right, like no, that like when I saw
him go back up to him, like yo, he about
the fucking donkey, kicked the shit out of macle cole
and fuck Pat backerfee up.
Speaker 5 (56:57):
It's funny if you watch the match early right, look
at Pat McAfee, like the color of his skin, and
then look at the color his skin at the end
of the match. It's like bright red. He had like
bad sunburn or something, right, but no, Gunster just beat
him up that bad all over. Yeah, man, Like I
I was kind of like over this match at the
(57:17):
point when he put him in the sleeper, and then
he got out of the sleeper and he started hulking up,
and I was just like, yeah, man, this is.
Speaker 17 (57:25):
What puts you know, people sunk their caps in eight
seconds pretty weeks to go out, right.
Speaker 6 (57:32):
Yeahow, Pat McAfee got a second and third win. Right,
What type of secret sauce is in that fucking j
uso sleeper?
Speaker 8 (57:47):
Right?
Speaker 6 (57:48):
Apparently that's the deadliest moving, fucking wrestling. Michael Cole had
no business going as long as it did. Pat McAfee
had no business with as many comebacks as he had,
and Gunster had no business showing this motherfucker respect.
Speaker 12 (58:09):
Afterwards, everything about if I had to do this, why
wasn't it gone wrong?
Speaker 5 (58:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (58:17):
Right, this could have been all wrong. This could have
been on Saturday Night main event, Yeah, okay, and.
Speaker 8 (58:23):
That would have been fine also, sure.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
But yeah, this was just a complete waste, a total
and complete waste.
Speaker 4 (58:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (58:37):
It doesn't do anything for Pat McAfee, didn't do anything
for Michael Cole, you know, nothing for anybody.
Speaker 6 (58:45):
Gunter's time, just a complete waste of Gunter's time and talent.
Speaker 8 (58:54):
Fuck.
Speaker 5 (58:55):
I would rather have not come back at all and
just been away for a while because you miss some
more when they're away.
Speaker 8 (59:01):
Yeah, I mean that's true, But I agree that they
do need to find him something to do.
Speaker 12 (59:07):
It doesn't involve a title, uh, just because he can't
always constantly be in the title texture and.
Speaker 8 (59:14):
He basically has been an entire time in the company.
Speaker 12 (59:17):
If it's not the world title a title, So I
have no problem with them giving him something else to do.
Speaker 8 (59:23):
But it's like, why, yes, if it's not gonna lead
to somebody coming back or something.
Speaker 11 (59:29):
Like what.
Speaker 8 (59:31):
Well, and then why do they plant that Goldberg seed? However,
many months ago that was m I just it's none
of the best.
Speaker 6 (59:40):
Yeah, But now the rumor is that, oh, well, we're
about to get go through versus jay Uso rematch and
then that match is gonna be where they plant the
seed for go to versus Goldberg. So you mean to
tell me that after wasting hours and going through time
with this bullshit ass match with Pat McAfee and not
(01:00:01):
giving us the Goldberg, then Teas, then.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Excuse me.
Speaker 6 (01:00:08):
Instead, you're gonna wait until we have a meaningful world
title match with your champion, who you need to continue
to get over and legitimize as champion, and you're instead
going to have him retain his title by the via
(01:00:28):
the help of a sixty year old man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
That's what.
Speaker 6 (01:00:35):
That's how he's going to keep his title against a
guy that he just tapped out at WrestleMania.
Speaker 5 (01:00:42):
That's how Eddie Guerrero got the title. Goldberg Sanatigans.
Speaker 6 (01:00:50):
Yeah, but we cared about that, and nobody realistically, nobody
even remembers that Goldberg interfeared in that fucking matches.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Apparently, and all that extra fucking attention and ship.
Speaker 6 (01:01:06):
So the rest of us, you know, how that match happened,
went for the eighth Brock dosn't, went for the f five,
Eddie Girrell countered into a DDT on the title, went
up top frog splash one two three. That's how it
happened in everybody else's mind. But no, somebody want to
hold on to Goldberg.
Speaker 5 (01:01:25):
Ye on, Bill Goldberg, Right, catch your idol, that's on
your mount rushmore professional wrestlers.
Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
We done dunking on this match.
Speaker 8 (01:01:45):
I was talking on a different match.
Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
Yeah, I guess the main event. Oh what a.
Speaker 6 (01:01:52):
Pile of Shita defending the w W Championship against Randy
Orton for one last time. We got twenty seven minutes
at fifty seconds of a guy car he got it
(01:02:15):
like that no more? Or is playing it extremely safe?
Speaker 8 (01:02:20):
Like I said, it's probably a little bit of both.
Speaker 6 (01:02:24):
Yeah, probably a little bit of both, I think to
a certain extent. See, it has lost a bit of
a step. You know, he's worse than wrestling more now
than he has in the last couple of years. But
also he has his Hollywood obligations that he obviously needs
to remain healthy for.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
So what does that lead to RKO and AA fest.
Speaker 8 (01:02:47):
Three rep bumps.
Speaker 18 (01:02:51):
Damnon finishers, Like I guess, and I guess the five
moves of Doom's been replaced by the three moves of Doom,
which are rep bump nutshot, belt shot that I knew.
Speaker 8 (01:03:04):
Like you see, it should have won. If they're gonna
do this for Cocta Senior hill turn Ship, he should
have won. He should have done it dirty. But they're
gonna come up with different ways for him to be dirty.
And like what three fucking red buons are you serious?
Speaker 2 (01:03:21):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (01:03:21):
I mean, like they got a twenty year few like this,
you know, hyping up until last time or whatever, Like,
don't it deserved so much more.
Speaker 8 (01:03:30):
Than this was?
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
Like this legendary fude, it deserved more of a build
up it deserved.
Speaker 12 (01:03:42):
If it felt this felt very like twenty ten Pigi
era Vince Booking. Like, I mean, you can say it
is one of the greatest of all time, and it's
hard to say he isn't. Uh, he's a fucking phenomenal person.
Speaker 8 (01:03:58):
I think we know that. But like he's also like
with the key Player and like the era of w
w E that most people like the least, if you're
looking back and ranking the eras or whatever, right, like
I think most people PG era at the bottom, and
who was all over the PG era John Cena.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (01:04:21):
If you think about if you ranked the WWE titles,
the one that people seem to like the least that
overly blinked out one yeah, where they couldn't even put
champion on it, they just said champ.
Speaker 5 (01:04:35):
Yeah yeah. I mean, you know, or it's seen are
very different than they you know, then their matches were
ten years ago, so they paced themselves, but they built
up to like bigger moments and they tried to pack
in as much as they could with time they had
to work with, and they filled it wisely. I mean,
I did think it went on pretty long, a lot
(01:04:56):
longer than I thought it was going to because when
it started, I was like, holy shit, we're gonna be
getting done this pay per view a lot earlier than before,
which also, by the way, because it was in Saint Louis,
the pay per view was done earlier than planned because
I when it was over, it was like, I feel
it was like, was it ten o'clock or something, It's.
Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Pretty early still, it was like ten thirty or something
like that.
Speaker 5 (01:05:18):
It just felt so early. I mean, I still think
it was a solid main event. I mean, it was
not their best performance. There was just a lot of
predictable spots. You know it's gonna be We've seen these
two wrestle for you know, damn near twenty years. Like
it feels like, uh so, yeah, we're gonna see Orton's
(01:05:42):
five moves. We're gonna see seen as five moves, and
we got to see them steal each other's finishers, which
I always think is funny. A couple of times, uh
the the Shenanigans with the rest getting knocked out, I
had me rolling my fucking eyes.
Speaker 8 (01:05:58):
But you know, as soon as Orton's embarrassing, right, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:06:02):
I mean with the rest. It was very embarrassing. And
then they sent out all the the the other people.
As soon as he started laying out all those RCOs,
I was like, oh, yeah, Or is not getting.
Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
The win here because that that right there, not not
him laying out everybody with the r KOs, but with
all the officials from the back came out. That's to
me when this match, I guess you could say jumped
the shark or just went completely ridiculous, not because all
the people came from the back to want all those
people to check on just what one ref or two
(01:06:37):
like excessive, But more so than that, the fact that
among all those officials came out the back, who else
was with them?
Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
Nick?
Speaker 6 (01:06:48):
Fucking all? This the damn gm of SmackDown the quote
unquote boss, you mean to tell me YO.
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
Can't count the motherfucking three?
Speaker 8 (01:07:03):
Right?
Speaker 6 (01:07:03):
I mean, any other job, if the employee can't do
their part, who usually.
Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
Steps in to fill that gap? Management?
Speaker 8 (01:07:14):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Right? What the fuck is Nick?
Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
All?
Speaker 2 (01:07:19):
This management?
Speaker 6 (01:07:21):
Motherfucker managed the situation. I have a wrestler down, I
have a competitor covering him. I have no one to
count the three. Let me get my blue suit wearing
ass the fuck down and count the goddamn three.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
At least then it would have made.
Speaker 6 (01:07:38):
Sense rather than all this shit happening and no, let's
wait for another referee to come down and just drag
that segment out longer than it needed to have to be.
I think like it was just that those details, but
that lack of attention to detail is what really irked
me in this match. I don't think it would have
(01:07:58):
been nearly as bad if that would have happened, and
then Nick Allis would have gone down to count the
three and then maybe played ref until another referee came
from the back to fill in, or the count the three.
He kicks out, you get up, you get pissed off,
and then you r ko him. At least then it
(01:08:20):
makes some level of logical sense. But for the whole
fucking boss to come out right then and there and
just completely ignore what's happening right next to him and
then in an active, ongoing match, makes no sense.
Speaker 5 (01:08:35):
Yeah. I mean, like I said, since I knew he's
getting out of all those rkos, I was like, Okay,
this is his moment in his hometown, this is where
he gets his big pops. But we we got the Shenangikins.
We got the the I actually had it. We got
the the the title knocking knocking him out, and the
(01:08:58):
ref there that shanagans. But then let's, dude, let's talk
about the big what the fuck moment. We got the
punt coming up right, Orton's bringing back the punt. He's
gonna put He's gonna put, see a way, and then
we get fucking our truth, our truth. And the thing
is like I knew at some point we were gonna
(01:09:20):
get heel scena coming across, you know face, our truth
right at some point, and like here's where it happens,
and you know, gets in the way and and or
in right away. Orton's like, no way, this is happening.
It's like you can read his lips. I thought that
(01:09:42):
shit was funny. He's like, no way, this is happening.
I did enjoy like all the heel tactics like Sina
was trying to do, like I poking and stuff, and
and Orton would just return it with some I poking
of his own, like pitch like I used to be
heel too. I I poke all the time. Uh if
you didn't catch it, uh these you know what I'm
(01:10:06):
not gonna lie. Like these post show interviews, I'm kind
of more and more interested in them because some now
ship happens. They're like to us now they're becoming like
the post credit scene of a Marvel movie.
Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
You know.
Speaker 8 (01:10:19):
Well before.
Speaker 12 (01:10:21):
Before them press conference, there was a whole like post
credits scene of seeing a leaving and going to the back.
Speaker 8 (01:10:27):
Did you see that not to go leave?
Speaker 5 (01:10:30):
I did not say it.
Speaker 13 (01:10:31):
Tell me about it because it makes no fucking sense.
And once again like I do not understand this scenior,
He'll turn like he's hitting well he was was the
any competition?
Speaker 8 (01:10:43):
Was that on the show? Or was that after?
Speaker 6 (01:10:47):
Okay, no, no, no, no no, that's how the show
went off the air. He read Mike afterwards, and that's
how the show p Eli ended.
Speaker 8 (01:10:57):
After that, he gets down with the ring.
Speaker 12 (01:10:59):
He puts the belt on the apron and he's just
staring at it, and the crowd starts going from booing
him to thank you see a chance, and he almost
looks like he's gonna start crying.
Speaker 8 (01:11:08):
Like very very emotional looking, you know, and and then
a very solid walk to the back, and then he
starts off the press conference with I should have been
nicer to you folks in here, I'm apologize in the future.
Speaker 17 (01:11:24):
Like, so, it looks like he's having technic thoughts about
this whole He'll Turn thing, which already makes.
Speaker 8 (01:11:29):
No fucking size.
Speaker 12 (01:11:31):
But the fact that they included this whole scene of
him staring at the belt and the crowd thank you
see and I think you now.
Speaker 8 (01:11:38):
Obviously they how could they have known that was gonna
happen or whatever?
Speaker 17 (01:11:41):
Why Why is he sitting there like soaking it in
and like almost looking curioz if there's the and then
he then he fews poor.
Speaker 12 (01:11:54):
Are thru through a table at the press coffee. There
is so so much inconsistent this heal turn. Where does
the soul come in? What did we just completely forgetting
about the selling his soul part of this? Like, I
guess the rock officially has nothing to do with anything.
Speaker 8 (01:12:12):
The whole thing's a fucking mess. I'm sorry, Wade, What
were you going to say about the press conference?
Speaker 5 (01:12:20):
What you what you were saying about?
Speaker 19 (01:12:22):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
You know, Archie is approaching him and and uh you
know getting I forget it seemed like if you say
one more word and Archer does say one more word
and he takes it off. He just puts some rights
to the table. But yeah, I mean, just all these
press conferences, some of them are kind of interesting things happened.
(01:12:43):
I mean, I think my first one that really caught
my eye, I guess was when uh was it j
and Cody were drunk and they were doing the press conference.
I think that's the one that was kind of fun. Yeah,
I think that's the one that kind of caught her.
With these press conferences and like now we kind of
(01:13:03):
get these like post credit scene type things that happen
like uh like that, Like I didn't see that. That's
I had to you know, I have to see that
online somewhere because I don't mean heard, you know, that's
there's just so much that happens off air. But yeah,
maybe it's just a real moment Doyle. You know, I
don't know, maybe he knew the cameras weren't.
Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
Did w W WE posted to their social media?
Speaker 5 (01:13:29):
Okay, okay, yeah they must have.
Speaker 8 (01:13:31):
Yeah, it wasn't. It was not a sam cam thing.
It was like it was a w W cameras capturing
all of this. Yeah, okay, great, So why would you
why would you put that out? That's nothing to do.
Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
Anything exactly, like they don't do stuff like that for
no reason.
Speaker 12 (01:13:48):
And and even if you know you don't expect this,
let's go seeing a chance or that's not let's just
see thank you seeing a chance to start?
Speaker 8 (01:13:56):
Like why is he acting emotional of it? Couldn't if
he's a heel. Shouldn't you be like you?
Speaker 12 (01:14:00):
You know, like I don't want to hear it. You
know what are you thanking me for? You know something,
some kind of adverse reaction to it?
Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
Like the fans?
Speaker 6 (01:14:08):
You know what this is about to be between the
fans and John Cena. Were about to have like an
intervention between the fans and Sena something like.
Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
This, because I know, somewhere deep down.
Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
In my heart I still love you.
Speaker 8 (01:14:35):
Oh okay, Oh my gosh. I don't know what the hell.
Speaker 6 (01:14:43):
That's what's about to be between the fans and John Cena.
I don't know how well that picked up on the
miceince I played it off my phone. But that's about
to be the fans of John Cena.
Speaker 8 (01:14:55):
That's kind of more visual, I think, but I made laughs.
Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Obviously that's what it's gonna be.
Speaker 6 (01:15:05):
He's gonna be trying to be all the asshole in
the world and the fans are gonna be like, but
we still love you, I know.
Speaker 5 (01:15:11):
Because it's it's it's so tied into his retirement. It's
like how much how are you going to be a
face for twenty years and then on your way out
give me the finger all the way out and expect
me not to be like.
Speaker 8 (01:15:26):
You know, yeah, I mean they should have done this
ten years ago or exactly.
Speaker 6 (01:15:31):
It's like, I mean, we all know he's gonna turn
face before he goes out, Like he's not going out
as a heel, of course.
Speaker 5 (01:15:37):
Yeah. I Like, he's like, do you want me to
ruin wrestling? And guess what, I'm not leaving. I'm staying
here until ninety Like what.
Speaker 8 (01:15:44):
Maybe he's ruined. Maybe he's ruining wrestling by having awful back.
Speaker 5 (01:15:48):
Yeah, you know what, you know what I know it's
again we think about it like we're like, oh, man,
like this sucks. He's not coming out with new music,
he's not coming out with like a new hairstyle, he's
not coming out with new attire. It's just the same georts.
You know, we're like pissed off or like these lackluster
like he's playing it safe type matches.
Speaker 6 (01:16:09):
But he's the only thing I said he should have
done was wear black jeorts. Should have gone back to
the black jorts.
Speaker 5 (01:16:15):
Yeah, and he's not, like I love, he's not destroying
people in the micro like he used to. But like
it's like, okay, maybe this is him ruining wrestling for us,
you know, but go ahead, bough.
Speaker 8 (01:16:31):
Oh, I just don't.
Speaker 12 (01:16:32):
I love his new video package where John C and
White levels on black, but it's just that and not
anything else.
Speaker 8 (01:16:42):
There's so much inconsistency. It's just it doesn't make sense
to me.
Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
Yeah, I get you. You gotta move the merge. That's
why you got the shirts and all that stuff, so
everybody gonna statch them up in the towel.
Speaker 6 (01:16:53):
You could have done it with black jorts. Yeah, you
could have done it. They could have done it with
black jors. Hell, they could have saved some money just
made them all black shirts and just made the accent
colors different depending on the city.
Speaker 8 (01:17:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:17:07):
You could have remixed time is now or whatever, like
made it slower or something or mutton you know, I
don't know, somehow chopped and screwed or something something, Just
like why why change just the video package and nothing else.
Speaker 8 (01:17:26):
Doesn't make like it's just something. It's just so much,
so many intonsistencies in this whole thing a fucking walk.
Speaker 2 (01:17:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:17:37):
Oh well, I mean then again, if I still want
to continue to reach, then you could say that him
having regrets could be a sign of him going soft.
And if he's going soft, then who might come up
to check them in ongoing soft and be like, you're
getting soft on me?
Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
Boy?
Speaker 6 (01:17:57):
Maybe this is a way to find a way to
get the final boss back in this again, I'm breaching.
I don't know if this is actually gonna happen, but
seeing it getting soft and the final boss shows up
like Forge, you're showing signs of weakness like most like
we've seen before. Another storylines where the villain is working
for the real bad guy and all of a sudden
(01:18:17):
they start having regrets and then the person they're working
for turns on them for getting soft.
Speaker 8 (01:18:27):
Does it feel like they're retcon in it? And I
feel like that's just gonna make it worse?
Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
Oh, it totally would. It totally would make it worse
if they went that route.
Speaker 6 (01:18:35):
But at this point, who knows where they're going with
these storylines, because clearly they ain't got much time between
all these damn shows to invest in storylines. Yeah, look,
they could just be shoehorning shit or fastball and shit
just to get from one pol to the next.
Speaker 8 (01:18:53):
Things like.
Speaker 20 (01:18:56):
And then something not their Sorry, but like some stories
seem to move super fast and they're over before you
even know it started.
Speaker 8 (01:19:04):
And another thing is it's like, is this still going?
Had the whole really since? Maybe this year It's just
it's the thing has been weird, I guess most of.
Speaker 6 (01:19:22):
This year and meanwhile did seem to be interesting have
seemingly fallen by the wayside or lost all any and
all momentum they had seen new day they see they feel.
Speaker 8 (01:19:34):
Like they're they're hitting a lot more pop flies and
our home runs lately.
Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
Yeah, definitely that.
Speaker 6 (01:19:43):
Any other final thoughts on this pod, Nope, that was good. Yeah,
it looks like John c. His next match will probably
be him versus Our Truth, probably a Saturday night main event.
Speaker 8 (01:19:58):
See that has the potensions that'll be fun.
Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
It could be depending on how they play it.
Speaker 21 (01:20:04):
I just said the overbook, it's see why they won't
they semed to be doing Uh, I think that they
run It has the potential to be really fun and
it has all to be really overbooked and awful.
Speaker 8 (01:20:19):
Yeah, you know what arranged.
Speaker 6 (01:20:25):
Honestly, if it was me, I would book that match
dead pants serious, like, rather than trying to be, rather
than leaning into our truth, being the silly you know,
my childhood hero Yeah yeah to your hero blah blah,
I would make I would actually play it up dead
serious and make like.
Speaker 8 (01:20:46):
That awesome right.
Speaker 2 (01:20:53):
TNA stuff Hell yeah, Ron the truth Killings was just that. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:21:00):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:21:00):
I would make that moment of John Cena putting him
through the table. I would make that his eye opening
moment for for for our truth that it snaps him out,
not just that, well, whether it snaps him out of
the whole goofball this, I would love it, but probably not.
But at the very least, it shatters the image that
(01:21:22):
he has of John being his childhood hero.
Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
And now rather than being like you're my childhood hero, I.
Speaker 6 (01:21:29):
Can't believe you did that to me. Oh yeaha yatta
or bullying him or you know, John's like fight me,
fight me, fine, o't fight you get or whatever?
Speaker 2 (01:21:37):
Bullshit? No I say, He's like, no, you're not the
person I thought you were. And now I gotta fuck
you up anyone to the head.
Speaker 12 (01:21:48):
No, nowhere tatin event it takes place where it's emanating.
Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
From, I do uh, let's see Tampa, Florida.
Speaker 5 (01:21:59):
Oh is it.
Speaker 8 (01:22:02):
Y?
Speaker 20 (01:22:02):
I'm just thinking, like if it's if it's if it's
like a hot crowd city like a Chicago or or
Philly obviously phill New York, or a Boston or something like.
I think there's a potential for the crowd to be
for our our truth to be fucking over a ship.
Speaker 8 (01:22:17):
But I don't know about Tampa.
Speaker 20 (01:22:18):
Maybe I don't know, but like you know, if it's
something see town, like you know, he'll be over, but
he's not gonna be like over.
Speaker 2 (01:22:27):
Yeah, and Florida.
Speaker 6 (01:22:28):
Honestly, that's more seeing the territory than oh, I think
most people think because yeah, yeah, Plus Johnson I think
lives in Florida. I think like Orlando or something like that, right,
like like his home home I think is Florida, do
(01:22:49):
you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
At least one of them Night.
Speaker 5 (01:22:51):
Of Champions is gonna be on June twenty eighth, and
that will be held in Saudia Arabia, So that's not
that far away.
Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
No, it's three weeks after money in the bank, and
we don't even know.
Speaker 12 (01:23:05):
What Champions means do Is it gonna be Done versus Jacob?
Is it gonna be Jay Versusina?
Speaker 8 (01:23:16):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
My guess is we will find out.
Speaker 6 (01:23:25):
June eighth, when they have to fastball into these fucking matches.
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
They will be a raw and somebody will show up
as champion and the champion from the other show will.
Speaker 6 (01:23:37):
Just pop up and start talking ship. Oh you want
to show up talk ship? Well, fine, let's do this
at night of Champions.
Speaker 8 (01:23:48):
Dominic and Jacob might be awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
I mean that, Yeah, that that is a par sleeper match.
Speaker 5 (01:23:55):
Yeah, So Doyle, what what has seven seasons one and
eight episodes and started in nineteen eighty nine, but it's
making a comeback? Which show that would be American Gladiators?
Speaker 8 (01:24:19):
Have you seen any of those documentaries? Have fucked up?
Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
Behind the God that.
Speaker 5 (01:24:30):
Record show of American Gladiators? Please watch that documentary. I
don't know, I forget where about.
Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
There's two of them.
Speaker 6 (01:24:37):
There's one that there's one that was on Netflix, and
I think the other one was either on Max or Hulu.
Speaker 2 (01:24:43):
But they're both.
Speaker 6 (01:24:44):
They're honestly both worth watching because they cover it from
different perspectives. One is a bit exactly. One is much
more behind the scenes and talks about the the career.
It focuses on the creator of the show and the
stuff that he did, whereas a nu the one focuses
on like the show itself and the cast, and Nitro.
Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
Is only featured in one of them. Obviously, he was
the most popular with the Gladiators. Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:25:09):
He appears in the Netflix one, if I'm not mistaken,
not the other one. But they're definitely both worth watching.
Speaker 8 (01:25:18):
Yes, they think that was firefast documentaries. They complimented each other.
Speaker 2 (01:25:23):
Very much, so very much so.
Speaker 12 (01:25:25):
I mean you see you see one Jeffrey Dahmer documentary,
you see them all right, But yeah, they're they're they're
both worth watching for sure.
Speaker 8 (01:25:33):
Ikes to love that ship? Man?
Speaker 2 (01:25:37):
Who didn't love American Gladiators as a kid on that
show watching the people, right, you couldn't tell me I
couldn't do that, Yeah, that little of course when they
had the target, you couldn't tell me I couldn't have
killed that ship. I got a fuck you misuses, that's right.
But beyond the show, what else I want to bring up?
Speaker 8 (01:26:00):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (01:26:00):
Yeah, well, you know the mins can't possibly be worse
than Mike Adamley was on Raw.
Speaker 8 (01:26:06):
Yeah, that's a good thing, so true. What did you
call it, Jeff, Jeff Harvey, his name is Jeff Harvey.
Speaker 6 (01:26:14):
Yeah, and freaking and lord knows, this revival of American
glidiers can't be worse than Rocks Titan Games.
Speaker 5 (01:26:25):
Guy sat unfortunately, guys on May eleventh this year. The
other day, at sixty years old, we lost Terrence Michael Bronk,
which is also known as Saboo. He was in ECW
from nineteen ninety three all the way to two thousand.
(01:26:45):
Then I think they brought him back again when they
brought back the E c W brand one more time.
I know recently you guys were talking about it on
the disc where that he had his last match recently
he retired.
Speaker 8 (01:27:02):
Yeah, that's the way the weekend and it was a
frame wretch.
Speaker 5 (01:27:05):
Yeah I heard, I heard. It's you know, there's a
point where it's like it's it's rough to like watch
these older wrestlers trying to still get in the ring.
Speaker 8 (01:27:15):
You know.
Speaker 12 (01:27:17):
Yeah, this was this was definitely that I don't know,
I don't know that we've got a cause of death yet,
haven't we.
Speaker 8 (01:27:24):
I don't know how much this match may or may
not have faceded it, but he does not look good.
It's a bar wire match, of course.
Speaker 2 (01:27:33):
Uh yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:27:36):
I can't really recommend going to watch it unless you're
more bid curious.
Speaker 12 (01:27:41):
It's like there's a part where they you know, Irish
flipping onto a board and it looks like he's fairly
pretty clearly just supposed to land on the board, but
he goes.
Speaker 8 (01:27:51):
All the way out of the ring, lands on his
head on the concrete. It was. It's really ugly.
Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:28:01):
Remember, just go back and watch the old d c
W stuff. Watch him at his best, the way you remember,
the way.
Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
We all loved them.
Speaker 12 (01:28:10):
Yeah, I mean, and I always say, uh, the Raymonds
area was the most important wrestler in the last thirty years.
Speaker 8 (01:28:16):
I think top was in the top five.
Speaker 1 (01:28:18):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:28:18):
And then another if you want to see a good match,
I think it was the first time they did.
Speaker 22 (01:28:25):
The e c W was a one night stand in
the Hammer. Yeah, fucking off the match. Yeah, I think
that was the Shana wins we riot.
Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
So now that would have been the second one.
Speaker 8 (01:28:41):
Then is that the second one?
Speaker 6 (01:28:43):
It would have been the second That was the second one?
Was the one that had Rob band Damn versus John Cena.
Speaker 12 (01:28:49):
Right, yeah, okay, one the Ray is definitely the first one. Yeah,
but yeah, it wouldn't nobody did the ship that he
was doing, you know, like, and he's one of those
guys that's gonna be uh.
Speaker 8 (01:29:06):
Feeling, We're gonna feel his influence for a long time
and whether or not people even realized they're imitating him,
you know.
Speaker 12 (01:29:14):
And it was that ronic on the if you watch
The Dark Side of the Ring, his uncle, the original
speak was the subject matter this week, so he was
all over the episode.
Speaker 8 (01:29:22):
Of course, it was just kind of weird. Well, I
mean was watching this afternoon.
Speaker 12 (01:29:26):
Uh, it's just kind of strange seeing him all over
this episode talking about his you know uncle.
Speaker 8 (01:29:31):
And so here he has just passed away.
Speaker 12 (01:29:35):
His uncle was phenomenally uh innovative and influential as well.
Speaker 8 (01:29:42):
But yeah, it's a good loss.
Speaker 12 (01:29:43):
I mean, obviously he wasn't super active anymore, and judging
by his last match, he couldn't do anything you get
into the ring, which is unfortunate.
Speaker 8 (01:29:55):
But yeah, he lost for the wrestling world.
Speaker 6 (01:30:01):
Definitely definitely rest in peace to the legend to the
homicidal genocidal suicidal sab.
Speaker 12 (01:30:10):
Do you remember when uh, when he first came, when
I guess thee w w W E c W started,
Vince is strutting down the hall and he comes up
to and he's like, it's like just have a very
awkward interaction.
Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
Guess those jokes. Office Ship calls him the Taliban and
all that stuff, like I know who you are.
Speaker 8 (01:30:35):
It's like you stayed away from me. Yeah, right, just
random memory.
Speaker 2 (01:30:42):
Yeah, he Saboo.
Speaker 6 (01:30:44):
I mean, for as short as his run was in
w w E, he made the most of it because
he had some moments.
Speaker 8 (01:30:53):
He had a run in w c W in like
the mid nineties. Yeah, it's actually in the in the
in the original Chik dark Side episode.
Speaker 12 (01:31:05):
Uh, he's seconded him in one of his Uh, I
forget who Sadu was wrestling on a w c W
pay per view and Sabu does a moon salt to
the outside and lands on the guy.
Speaker 8 (01:31:17):
But the original Sheek was standing right behind him and
he's the opponent fell on him and broke his leg
and he's still finished the match.
Speaker 20 (01:31:25):
Mm hmmm, still throwing fireballs and then that family people,
these people.
Speaker 19 (01:31:36):
We'll be dead. I thought I was in Texas. Hell,
I'm not in tuxas. I'm an As fan.
Speaker 8 (01:31:50):
Hey, boys, check it out. Here's a member of the
talent Dan.
Speaker 2 (01:31:56):
Well wait a minute, I know you. You're that guy, Saboo,
the great Saboo.
Speaker 8 (01:32:04):
You're that homicidal, genocidal, suicidal.
Speaker 4 (01:32:12):
Guy.
Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
Yeah, you stayed all away from me.
Speaker 8 (01:32:22):
Yeah, an awkward interaction defended.
Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
Yeah, awkward to start off, but eventually it got there.
It got to the point that even that guy scares events.
Speaker 8 (01:32:34):
Oh yeah, exactly. So that's all I got.
Speaker 5 (01:32:39):
I mean, I didn't really hear anything else in the news.
Speaker 23 (01:32:41):
Uh, I you know, nothing super important happened at all,
you know, I'm just I think the only thing I'm
really intrigued by right now is if we're getting another
person added to seth Ra's little click here, because it
seems like there's there's something in the words he has plans.
Speaker 6 (01:33:02):
I mean, we Yeah, we had a banger of a
main event featuring four of the best women's wrestlers on
n w w E right now. Yeah, Ria and Eo
taking on Rock Sand and Julia. That was a banger
of a fucking main event match.
Speaker 8 (01:33:19):
Yeah, that was fun.
Speaker 5 (01:33:22):
Max.
Speaker 8 (01:33:22):
I like I like that. I like to do a
EO and Rhea. Yes, it's a fun, little fun, little
strange fellows.
Speaker 6 (01:33:32):
And you can see yeah definitely, like it seems like, uh,
EO's all in with it, Like she seemed to really
be enjoying it.
Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
Ria, on the other hand, kind of seeing a little.
Speaker 6 (01:33:45):
Yeah, and I don't I don't know if that's some
subtle storytelling they were doing there when maybe there's more
that's gonna come from it or.
Speaker 8 (01:33:54):
Or what.
Speaker 6 (01:33:55):
Because it it didn't just seem to be a case
of Ria being like, Okay, I'll awkwardly.
Speaker 2 (01:34:02):
Go along with this. It seemed more like she was like.
Speaker 6 (01:34:06):
Genuinely like not interested in it, like she was just
more down on it rather than just be like, Okay,
I guess I'll play along. I don't know, just watching
her and just looking at her face during it, it
seemed didn't seem like an awkward like play a long
type of thing, more like an actively disinterested or unactively
(01:34:31):
unenthused about this stuff. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean
that they're playing any seeds of any kind of real
hill term, because she's way too fucking popular for that
right now.
Speaker 8 (01:34:44):
Yeah, she hasn't really been a face that long.
Speaker 6 (01:34:48):
Right, Well, I guess she hasn't been an official face
that long. I would argue she's probably been. She's been
babyface probably since she feuded with Charlotte Flair going into
WrestleMania thirty nine.
Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:35:06):
Yeah, I would argue she's been popular and been faced
with the fans at least since then. They just didn't
finally turn her until what she came back from.
Speaker 12 (01:35:21):
Yeah, I mean soon was a heel against Becky at
WRESTLINGA forty Yeah, sometime.
Speaker 2 (01:35:27):
In the last year.
Speaker 6 (01:35:28):
Yeah, pretty much when she when she came back from
the injury, uh, from her injured shoulder, that was pretty
much she would get back officially, Yeah, officially a baby
face because by then Live had stolen Dumb and or
they were or she was back at the baby face
and Lived was definitely heel status and they were feuding.
Speaker 2 (01:35:52):
So yeah, it has been less than a year.
Speaker 6 (01:35:55):
Officially, and like I said, she's way too popular her
now for them to try to turn her anytime soon.
Speaker 2 (01:36:03):
Mm hmm. Yeah. And on the other note, Freaking Kyrie
saying looked like she been going ham in the gym.
Speaker 8 (01:36:14):
Yeah. Oh, there's a couple of pictures of her recently.
Speaker 6 (01:36:21):
Yeah, she is looking. One she's been getting some sun
or some spray, and two she been bulking up.
Speaker 5 (01:36:29):
Oh now I see a picture of her holy ship.
Speaker 6 (01:36:32):
Yeah inane. Damn yeah, that is insane. Elbow about to
be the most dangerous moving wrestling gonna put motherfuckers through
the matt What the hell?
Speaker 2 (01:36:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:36:48):
Cool?
Speaker 5 (01:36:49):
And I heard uh why? Didn't really dig too much
into it, but something going on with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte.
Are we getting the possible team up?
Speaker 4 (01:37:00):
Why?
Speaker 6 (01:37:01):
I don't know about the team up, but they teased
something Friday after Charlotte left was leaving the arena, which
obviously earlier in the show, we got the return of
Alexa Bliss when she teamed up with It's Only in
a Vega. But then as Charlotte was leaving the arena
about to get into her vehicle, the door slams shut
in front of her and on the other side is
(01:37:23):
Alexa Bliss. He's saying, let's chat. Mm hmmm, We'll see
where that goes.
Speaker 11 (01:37:31):
Yeah, you still got you still got the Wyatts six
out in the easter. We haven't heard from them for months.
Uh and the teams like it seemed like a foregone conclusion.
That Alexa was going to be involved with them somehow, but.
Speaker 20 (01:37:47):
Where are they keeping She made a returnment, disappeared, So
it's just like, I don't know what.
Speaker 8 (01:37:53):
I don't know what's going with her.
Speaker 5 (01:37:55):
Yeah, I mean, you're paying this woman for how many years?
Let's put her on TV and user for PC. She's
not injured right now, Let's use her.
Speaker 6 (01:38:04):
Regardless because you want the talk around it has gotten
very loud about the fact that y'all brought her back
tease it and then put her back on the shelf.
Speaker 12 (01:38:14):
And you got and you have your CEO out there
saying to people or we don't sign people and then
put them on the bench, right.
Speaker 8 (01:38:22):
Lies or the president whatever the hell? Whatever the hell
Nick con Is. I think he's saying the president whatever, the.
Speaker 5 (01:38:30):
Guy who signs out the paychecks.
Speaker 2 (01:38:33):
Mm hmm, yeah, he is technically l presidente.
Speaker 5 (01:38:40):
Trade. Have you got anything you want to play? Uh?
Speaker 6 (01:38:45):

Speaker 5 (01:38:51):
Cool.
Speaker 20 (01:38:54):
Oh yeah, just in the discord, uh like subscribe whatever

six years, I improved everybody in the world that I
am the best on this microphone.
Speaker 5 (01:39:33):
In that break, I'm given a commentary.
Speaker 2 (01:39:35):
Nobody can touch me.
Speaker 1 (01:39:38):
I know you can't see me, but can you hear me?
Come to damn music. I don't need music. What I
(01:40:03):
