Pc W crew Main event ray Uso was back again

Speaker 8 (06:01):
Man too nice. Summerslimon it felt a little bit like WrestleMania,
didn't it.
Speaker 10 (06:10):
In a certain way of speaking, you could say that
it had it had its vibe. I don't know if
that will be for the best. I don't know if
it's in the most positive way of speaking.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
But yes it did.
Speaker 8 (06:20):
Like yeah, uh, it's just it felt just as exhausting
as much to watch. I mean we didn't have well,
I mean we didn't have a Hall of Fame to
deal with. We didn't have an n x T p
LD to also watch. But uh, nonetheless, WW is exhausting. Uh.
With that said, let's bring him out.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
You wanted to watch Out, watch Out? Your last warning?
Speaker 8 (07:14):
You've been wash this is your last cosson Doyle.
Speaker 11 (07:25):
Oh it's me, It's me, It's a deal, whiley caution
is a word that I can't understand.
Speaker 12 (07:33):
Uh oh yeah.
Speaker 11 (07:35):
So the last couple of times I've been on, I
have forgotten to tell you guys this big announcement.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
That I've been sitting on for a while.
Speaker 11 (07:41):
And I just want to start to show off by
spitting it out there, letting the world know.
Speaker 12 (07:46):
I think you're gonna think.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
It's pretty cool. I and Peloton, friends, is famous.
Speaker 8 (07:54):
Now your what.
Speaker 11 (07:59):
Peloton with famous? It means I can see his workouts.
He could see mine if he so choose to. I
don't know that he has to, but we could. I
could compare and contrast how I did the same course
to the Celtic Warriors.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
If I were to choose to do so, I have not.
Speaker 11 (08:19):
That's beside the point. Sean just one step away from Chamus.
Speaker 10 (08:24):
So does that mean that Seamus is going to have
a new YouTube channel series going soon, Celtic Warriors cycling
competing in the as.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yeah, the pod.
Speaker 8 (08:44):
How did you come across the idea of doing this?
Speaker 3 (08:48):
I don't remember it was.
Speaker 11 (08:53):
I think I think he put a thing on inst
the face that said, hey, follow me on telephone. So
I did, m okay, cool, but I followed.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
I follow one person and it's shamous nice.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
It's just that simple.
Speaker 8 (09:09):
Yes, sometimes that's all the motivation you need every day.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
It's like.
Speaker 8 (09:13):
Jack's about and you know what, I guess his workout,
you know, does work because that man when he came
back early, you know, he got we even talked about
he got kind of hassled about how much weight he
had on and he was a little thick. But then
like Shamus went away for like a few weeks, came
back ripped the ship like you know, so whatever he's doing,
(09:35):
it's working.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (09:37):
I think the story there which they had told him,
you know, i'd be ready, you know, whenever and then
they called him about two months earlier than They're like, hey.
Speaker 12 (09:46):
Can you be here Monday. Yeah, yeah, I mean.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
You can't blame the guy. It must be.
Speaker 11 (09:57):
I mean, it looks be so difficult, uh you know,
well to get to look like that, but to maintain
that while you're on the road and you're traveling so much,
you know, like.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
You know, it's three in the morning.
Speaker 11 (10:11):
Sometimes it's hard to find a grilled chicken breast, you know,
and it's really easy to find a waffle house.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Yeah, yeah, very true, very true.
Speaker 11 (10:23):
I mean, I just I think I just add to
add the whole lot of layer of difficulties to uh
not being a.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Fat slow.
Speaker 8 (10:34):
Well with that said, you guys, I got some news
for you. Let's let's play the news bumper, big news,
big news.
Speaker 7 (10:42):
News team sets for you.
Speaker 9 (10:53):
Well, I got news for you, news flash alcohol.
Speaker 8 (11:02):
As of this morning, breaking News WW premium live events
are heading to ESPN platforms in the United States starting
in twenty twenty six. At points of twenty nine, I'll
tell you what, I have not seen one positive response
(11:25):
about this.
Speaker 10 (11:27):
This isn't like it didn't come out of the mouth
of somebody with WW ESPN or TKO.
Speaker 12 (11:33):
Yeah, you know, there's just a lot we.
Speaker 11 (11:38):
Don't know yet, and a lot of like rumors still
swirling about this and that. The main one I think
is that if you already have a table sucription and
you get ESPN apparently you're going to be able to
access these paper views without paying the thirty dollars extra month.
But nobody's under that's true or not. If it is,
(12:01):
I'm in the career, I'm fine. But you know, I
guess a lot of a lot of cord cutters on it.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
It's just still a cluster pluck. Well, you are a
five months to get it sorted.
Speaker 11 (12:12):
So hopefully closer to the turn of the year we'll
know a lot.
Speaker 8 (12:17):
More, right, I mean, this is just insane somebody like
me who doesn't have Disney plus I don't have Hulu,
Like I don't have that stuff because I'm just not interested.
You know, there's just nothing on there right now for me.
But does that mean, like if I have to eat
the ESPN app separately, Like, is that thirty dollars a
(12:37):
month just for that?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Yeah, you know you know what.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
I mean, Like.
Speaker 11 (12:44):
You gotta have also to the USA you watch Frank,
I don't even have access to the c W to watch,
and I see you have access to net Sense to
watch raw, You're gonna have access to peacock. And then
going forward the ESPN saying to watch you know, it's
it's I mean in sports are getting in the same way.
To watch the NFL, you gotta crowd to Amazon and
(13:06):
you have to subscribe to this.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
And that and you have to you know, right, fucking ridiculous.
Speaker 8 (13:12):
And I had this issue with with hockey at one point,
like I used to love watching the Flyers, like uh,
just just talking in general, but it became once streaming
apps started happening, it became more and more difficult for
me to catch every game because I couldn't just catch
it on slink TV or just regular cable. I would
(13:33):
have to, you know, certain games, I would have to
download it like another app or subscribe to an NHL
app or you know, the ESPN app or or something.
I could never just get every game in one area,
and it pissed me off because it's like, you know,
this is like my team and they play like an
hour for my fucking house, but yet I can't watch
it without subscribing to three different apps, Like uh, you know,
(13:55):
and then I stopped. I just stopped watching hockey because
it just became too much. Like I just got tired
of having to jump through hoops to watch what I like.
And to be honest, like they're you know, I might
be on that boat with like some most people who
are just casual watchers, Like if it you're gonna make
it this hard to access your content like this, you know,
(14:18):
it's it's gonna cost me this much a month just
to watch, you know, a few hours of wrestling, Like,
I don't know if it's even worth it. I've already like,
you know, put my foot down and like I'm not
I'm not downloading a cable app and paying a cable
slipscription just to watch back down because you know what
I mean, Like I've been.
Speaker 11 (14:35):
Yeah, I mean, I mean, if you get Netflix to
watch ras, say, yeah, at least got this whole library
of movies and shows, and you know, a S fan deal,
if you're not into sports, what the fuck else is
there for you?
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Not much? Yeah, So that's that's.
Speaker 11 (14:54):
And I you know, I imagine a lot of WW
fans are also fans of actuals sports legitimates boys. But
I'm sure it's not a significent sector that aren't, you know,
So I think a lot a lot of people, a lot.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Of families are gonna have to make some hard choices here.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Yeah, And that's the thing.
Speaker 10 (15:14):
See a lot of fans who are WW fans, yes,
are sports fans. But the biggest problem that ESPN has
always had for the longest, and it's been the struggle
with their ESPN Plus app and stuff like that, is
it doesn't always carry the sports people want to see.
That's the problem. Like ESPN has tons of content, but
(15:37):
you know what, the stuff that people actually want to see,
you don't need ESPN Plus for it. It's not like
there are games exclusive like for example, ESPN has the
NBA contract where they have NBA games on I think
Wednesdays and Fridays. That shit is on regular as ESPN.
(15:57):
You don't need ESPN Plus for it. So and there's
Monday Night football is on regular ass ESPN.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
You don't eat ESPN Plus for it.
Speaker 10 (16:08):
All the stuff that people tune into ESPN to watch,
you don't need ESPN Plus for it. And so with
this new streaming service that they're launching at a thirty
dollars price point, what the fuck is going to be
up there that you actually have to turn into that
(16:29):
that you have to actually go to that streaming service
to get that you cannot get anywhere else. It doesn't
make it like they keep advertising it as you get
access to ESPN's entire library of content. You know where
else you get access to ESPN's entire library content. Fucking
Channel twelve, ESPN. It's there, but I want to watch it.
(16:52):
I turn it on, and I ain't shelling out an
extra thirty bucks. So yeah, now they're getting wwepl e's okay.
That's one thing that this thirty dollars app is going
to have to draw people in UFC stuff. I don't
know how well that's worked out. I mean probably for
the most die hard of UFC fans. Yes, they may
(17:14):
tune in to ESPN Plus and shot out that extra
money on top for the for the pay per views
every month, but that's a system that they've been in
pretty much from the jump with UFC, so they're already
accustomed to that process of paying for these things every month.
And I'm pretty sure most fans don't buy every single
(17:36):
UFC pay per view when the person that they want
to fight is fighting or a big fight comes up,
those they'll buy.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
The rest of them they just skip on.
Speaker 10 (17:46):
So with this, So, how's the UFC going to work
with this new ESPN platform? Is it going to be
just there as part of your thirty dollars subscription or
is it your thirty dollars plus something on top for that?
The problem, the thing that they're missing the most in
this is the value proposition, and right now, love WWE,
(18:09):
but your pls are not worth thirty dollars every fucking month,
especially when they've been largely considered to be on the
decline this year. They have not been of the same
quality into twenty twenty five as they were last year.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
And I mean most of the four matches.
Speaker 10 (18:29):
Right, four to five matches for thirty dollars a month,
and with y'all's commitment to social media, half the shit
is right up online afterwards. Anyway, you know what the
returns and stuff that happened here at Summer Slam. That
shit was on YouTube by the end of the nights.
Speaker 11 (18:52):
You're not going from ten dollars, Yeah, you're not going
from ten dollars to twelve dollars.
Speaker 12 (18:56):
Doing from ten dollars to thirty dollars. That's a fucking
big yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yeah, it's a huge jumping.
Speaker 10 (19:02):
They are really underestimating that they think and ESPN I
think is over I don't think. I don't know that
I will say that ESPN is overestimating the value of WWE.
But I do think they're overvaluing their own product right
and what they have less unless we find out, Well,
the product is about to launch this month, so they'll
(19:23):
see what the numbers look like between now and the
end of the year. As far as who's shelling out
thirty bucks for this product, and if the numbers was
looking relatively weak, they may have to readjust they may
have to adjust their price point, they may have to
come up with some tier plans, or who knows, They're
gonna have to figure out something. But I don't think
(19:43):
this is going to work out in the way that
they think it is. And Nick Con is apparently convinced
that fans will move from Peacock to ESPN. I just
found a statement that he gave earlier. I'm assuming today
with this news real, but I'm gonna read his quote
from him about well, will ww fans move from Peacock
(20:07):
to ESPN? Nick Con says, quote, well, the subs follow
the product to whatever that new platform is. I think
we've demonstrated to Peacock our subs will follow. They certainly
all followed from the WWE Network and that expanded that
subscribership extensively with Peacock. And there's obviously another product at
Peacock to watch, which our fans who subscribe primarily to
(20:31):
us were able to sample.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Same will be the case with ESPN.
Speaker 10 (20:35):
That statement was from Nick con That statement, I think
is very detached from reality and is willfully ignorant of
a lot.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Of factors that played into it.
Speaker 10 (20:50):
Namely, one, people, when they went from WWE Network to Peacock,
a lot of them were going from a nine to
ninety nine subscription at ww network to a five dollars
subscription at Peacock.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
So they were actually saving money.
Speaker 11 (21:08):
Yeah, I mean, and then before that, you're showing out
forty dollars a month for the pay per view, you know.
Speaker 12 (21:13):
Right, they went and then it went down again, right,
and then it went.
Speaker 10 (21:18):
Through the like, I don't know what type of analytics
they're looking at, did they Are they just looking at
the numbers? Are they looking at what tier everybody subscribed?
That because I'm pretty sure the overwhelming majority of people
who are subscribed to Peacock subscribed at the lowest tier just.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
To get access to the stuff.
Speaker 10 (21:39):
Not everybody's gonna subscribe is gonna pay for the highest
tier just to eliminate commercials or whatever other extra stuff
is there.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
They're at the lowest tier.
Speaker 10 (21:48):
So you're asking those same people who were at a
five dollars tier to now suddenly jump to a thirty
dollars price point.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
What I mean, there's what I mean.
Speaker 8 (22:00):
Look, when I went to Peacock, I I was not
happy that, you know, the w WW network got you
basically sold off. I wasn't happy about that at all
because I was content paying ninety ninety nine a month
for what content I got on WW, like the app.
That was it. I knew I was getting strictly just wrestling,
that's it. When I went to Peacock. Okay, like there
(22:24):
was some stuff on there, like even now, like I
go on I watched like the Ted TV show, I
watched Twisted Metals, so like there's a few things on Peacock.
I watched Modern Family whatever. But yeah, dude, like for
somebody like me who doesn't watch anything but wrestling now, Like,
if I don't know when I want to watch, you know,
we'll be watching that once a month. That's about it.
(22:45):
Thirty dollars.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Damn.
Speaker 8 (22:47):
I can't do it. I just can't. I just can't
justify because like all these other streaming apps that we have,
like Apple TV, Disney Plus, Hulu, you know, HBO, Max whatever, like,
none of them those prices come anywhere close to that,
you know, like thirty bucks, and look how much they
have to offer the library. And I won't even pay that.
(23:09):
I mean, like, I like Disney, Don't get me wrong,
I like Disney Plus. But right now, I'm what they
call it cherner, Like, you know, when there's something good on,
then I'll subscribe for like a month or two binge watch,
and I'll get the hell out of there. I don't
I don't sign long term contracts. And I know they
they hate people like me, that's why they're doing these bundles.
But I I don't know, man, Like, I'm not gonna
(23:31):
be the only one who's gonna, you know, stand on
this and be like, you know what, I I don't
think I'm want to keep going. I don't think I'm
gonna continue like it's it's ridiculous, like Doyle said, like
all the outlets we have to go to to watch
wrestling now, I mean, I dream of a day where
everything's on one fucking app. I dream of a day,
(23:52):
you know. Uh. I also wonder if there was ever
talk in at one point in renegotiating Peacock deal or
maybe like even you know, another like maybe Netflix or
somebody picking them up. But I guess ESPN got the rightfully.
So I guess the deal is like what it was,
(24:13):
like one point something billion?
Speaker 10 (24:16):
My guess, Yeah, that's my guess. Is that's how ESPN
landed the deal. They threw out the beat work. I
believe it. It's a five year deal. I forgot how
much it is per year, but I think the total
over five years is like one point six billion dollars.
Speaker 8 (24:30):
Mmmm.
Speaker 10 (24:32):
I think that's right, over five years. That's how they
landed though they shelled out.
Speaker 12 (24:38):
Yeah, I meant exactly.
Speaker 10 (24:44):
And you know, ESPN is clearly going all in on
sports because they haven't just done this thing with w
w E. They also have purchased God, they have a
deal going with the NFL right now where they've acquired
red Zone and I believe the NFL network as well,
in exchange for the NFL.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Getting an ownership stake within ESPN.
Speaker 10 (25:07):
So, I mean, ESPN has made a lot of big
moves within the last couple of months or so in
preparation for launching this thirty dollars streaming service. Yeah, they've
had the USC thing, but we still don't know how
that's the structured under this streaming service.
Speaker 12 (25:27):
We don't know.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Because you know the relationship.
Speaker 10 (25:33):
Yeah, I mean, but they've had the business relationship with
just UFC. But we see what that program, what that
services looked like. With ESPN Plus, you pay for ESPN
Plus and then you pay again to actually watch the
pay per news.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
So how is that going?
Speaker 10 (25:48):
So it's a pay on top of a pay which
I imagine only, like I said earlier, only the most
die hard of UFC fans I think, are paying that.
So now we'll see what it looks like under this
new thirty dollars streaming service, is it? Because if I
was a UFC fan and y'all want me to show
out these thirty bucks, don't fucking pay per views better
be included? Yeah, they're not asking me for a goddamn
(26:11):
penny on top of them thirty dollars. Well, maybe maybe
if you know, if I was to play Devil's advocate
a little bit, maybe if they include the UFC pay
per views at the thirty dollars price point, and the
uh every wwepl E stuff at that price point and
(26:33):
maybe some and maybe at that you also get NFL
Network and NFL Red Zone, then maybe then you're starting
to add some.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Value to this streaming service.
Speaker 10 (26:43):
Yes, for the real diehard sports fan who's into all
of those things, then you're starting.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
To get some value. Proposition, But individual.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
You are, I mean, like everybody is.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
You are right, I'm not I'm saying me specifically. I'm
saying you is.
Speaker 10 (27:01):
In a generic sense, there's the WW I mean w
that ESPN is creating some value in their product if
there are these number of things, but that, like you
said that, assume that everybody who subscribed wants those things, right, obviously.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
Don't.
Speaker 10 (27:20):
Right, They're they're inherently appealing to a very niche audience,
and that's sports fans. There are people who like sports,
there are people who watch sports, but who out there
loves sports enough to shell out thirty dollars a month
for what you're offering on your streaming service.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
That's the question.
Speaker 10 (27:45):
Right now, I can only like, I can only list
those four things that they have potentially to offer at
that thirty dollars price point, every wwpl LEA, every UFC
pay per view, NFL network and NFL read some.
Speaker 8 (28:01):
But here's something that might leave a bad taste in
all your mouths. You know, you could just you know,
pay up front, you know, for for a year, if
you like, just just pay up front for your ESPN
three hundred and sixty bucks. That doesn't sound bad, right,
three hundred and sixty bucks a year for a year
(28:24):
for ESPN Plus.
Speaker 10 (28:27):
That's like the third of the price of paying it monthly. Yeah,
or bad value? Not a bad value proposition when you
look at it that way. But that's something that somebody
has three sixty to shell out or.
Speaker 8 (28:42):
You can you know, they're signing a five year deal, right,
ESPN Plus can get up to eighteen hundred dollars from
you and that five year deal, that's a rough number
eighteen hundred dollars in hole that how much he is
paying plus could be making from US ww fans in
(29:03):
that five years.
Speaker 10 (29:06):
Well, look, I don't want to talk about how much
money I've been giving Google over the last couple of
years between TV.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (29:14):
I mean it's when you really look at the numbers
like that and bigger, you know, bigger pictures kind of disgusting.
You know, Like, I don't know how much you guys
all spend on your like streaming networks, but like when
you and you're sitting there and you add them up
and then you add up how much you spend months
and the year, it's like holy shit, and you know,
it's like we're gonna go back. We're going back to
(29:36):
like where we might all have to get cable again.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
But yeah, that cable Cable is never coming back.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
No, it's never.
Speaker 10 (29:48):
We have long passed that point of no return. It's
just it's not coming back. Just from this simple content perspective,
and even even if those of us are shelling out
maybe more money now than we ever did with cable,
we are a getting way more content than cable could
(30:10):
ever offer, and we have way more flexibility than cable
can ever afford.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
You.
Speaker 10 (30:17):
Those two things alone, I think at this point most
people have made the choice that they justify the potential
extra money that some people may be spending or the
comparable money to cable that people are spending. I know
I have, and I am somebody who definitely is probably
spending more money on streaming now than I than I
(30:37):
ever did with cable. But at the same time, I
am the ones paying for the famili's entertainment. You know,
it's not just me that's on my subscriptions. It's me,
my mother, my sister, my niece and her kids. So
you know, everybody's on mine. You know, if it was
(30:59):
just me, I could easily think of probably maybe three
or four streaming services that I would have cut, or
I would have gone to the route that you're on
with Wayne, where you pick them up for a little while,
watch what you want to watch, then drop them.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Well, you might not want to say that publicly. They'll
put an end to that passwords sharing right quick. If
they catch you, they've probably been looking for you.
Speaker 8 (31:24):
Anyway, we'll get down to like we'll get and we'll
just split it between the three of us. You know, again,
that's fucking bananas, man. As soon as I saw that,
like I just I just read right to the comments,
right to the comments section. Just everybody just human just pissed.
Speaker 11 (31:46):
Yeah, Well, like I said, there's a lot we don't
know yet.
Speaker 8 (31:50):
You know, I'm sure there's some backlash that they that
they're going to be dealing with, and they're going to
release something, and something's going to change. I agree Doyle
when I the fire.
Speaker 10 (32:00):
Yet now they got five well we got four months
to figure out how they're gonna do this. They're gonna
gauge obviously, they're gonna gage people's reactions. Whether that has
any influence or impact or anything. Obviously it's TBD, but
I'm pretty sure they have, you know, been seeing people's
(32:23):
reaction onlines and seeing it's been overwhelmingly negative. And then
obviously the streaming service is launching well before the WWE
content arrives, so they'll have at least three or four
months of numbers and analytics to look at to see
who's jumping on with this shit, like especially with football season,
(32:47):
because right now between now in the end of the year,
that's gonna be their main selling point property for the
service is whatever is on that streaming service connected with
the NFL, which ends this country is still king.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
So if they managed to.
Speaker 10 (33:07):
If the NFL and whatever they're offering on ESPN through
the NFL, through the out the NFL season doesn't bring
in strong numbers, they may have to rethink their strategy
before WW even comes on on board with their content. Well,
like I said, it's four months ago. It's a lot
(33:29):
that can change potentially between now and then.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
We'll see.
Speaker 8 (33:36):
Sweet all right.
Speaker 10 (33:38):
All I know is I am prepared to raise the
banners in the sales if need be.
Speaker 8 (33:49):
I thought about that so I was like, man, if
they just outpriced me, Like, what would my life be
like without wrestling? Like, what the hell would I do
with my time? I say, I don't know yet.
Speaker 10 (34:02):
There was a time where we all sailed the high
seas of the internet.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
Uh huh, living that pirate life, Yeah, said, I didn't
want to be that.
Speaker 10 (34:15):
Personal more that I wanted to generally support the things
that I love.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
But everything has its limit.
Speaker 10 (34:22):
Yeah, they keep pushing too hard and they keep reaching
too deep in people's pockets.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
I ain't got no problem going back.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Well, yo ho ho, and a bottle of problem exactly.
Speaker 8 (34:33):
I remember those days. All right, Man, let's let's get
in this PLA Night one Medleefe Stadium, Night one fifty
three and sixty one. People. I'll tell you what I
think it looked the arena looked pretty cool. I h
I definitely got like fruestimated of forty vibes a little,
(34:57):
just the way the arena is set up with the
being open like that and met Life, so I thought
it looked pretty cool. I think they had uh it
looked like they had better Titan Tron set up than
we did. It looks like there, you know, there's a
couple more around the area.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Yeah, they had a cool stage.
Speaker 10 (35:15):
Yeah, isn't a well met Life is newer than the Link.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Right, M right?
Speaker 12 (35:26):
I think so yes, I want to say, because yes,
because about it.
Speaker 10 (35:32):
Think yeah, I might say the Link was built in
like nineteen ninety six or ninety seven or something like that, late.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
Night later than that. Yeah, it was like the early
yachts for the Link.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Yeah, okay, you might be right in.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
The in the met Life I think was twenty ten.
Speaker 10 (35:52):
Whereabout so I'm not a part Yeah, yeah, met Life
was between two thousand and eight and twenty ten. And yeah,
the Link was late nineties, early two thousand something like that.
Speaker 11 (36:02):
But I mean, speaking of Ntlmania, they had they had
significantly more people there for resume, what was it thirty
size than they did.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
For Summer Slam. Oh really for what for whatever?
Speaker 2 (36:15):
That's worse right as valid?
Speaker 8 (36:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Yeah, they had uh around seventy thousand.
Speaker 10 (36:24):
Yeah, there were definitely significant portions of uh this stadium
that were taped off, yes, m m, and not as
they did not do as good a job of concealing
it as they happened the past.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
That's true.
Speaker 8 (36:43):
Yeah, Uh, well, Drey, we'll take their ends.
Speaker 10 (36:50):
Yeah, we might as well go ahead and jump on
into the first match kicking off the show, which was
Roman Reigns and Jay Usso facing Bron Broke.
Speaker 12 (37:01):
Before that, before that, it is Cardi B.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
A native English speaker.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
A native English speaker, Yes, I like, what the.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
Hell was she doing there? What was she talking about?
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Like?
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Who decided to her out?
Speaker 11 (37:19):
There was a good idea, like did she bring anything
at all to the to the weekend?
Speaker 10 (37:26):
No name, just just a name, just that. And WW
really needs to get away from that. They need to
get away from having names just for the sake of
having a name.
Speaker 12 (37:40):
Like yeah, I gets the logic of having a name,
but why not someone.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
That could contribute in some form or fashion.
Speaker 12 (37:47):
I don't think Cardi B brought anything whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
To the table.
Speaker 12 (37:52):
Nothing and then we didn't see it really again at all.
Speaker 13 (37:54):
The host of Somerslam, right, they said, months and months
Cardi beats the house Hardy means the house, and then
like two three weeks before that, they didn't say it
didn't work about her, and then she just came.
Speaker 11 (38:04):
Out screamed and yell a little bit, and then that
was about it.
Speaker 8 (38:09):
Yet that.
Speaker 10 (38:13):
Nothing just and for the sake of having a name.
And like I said, they they, I think they really
do need to reevaluate some of these celebrities that they
bring in because some of them, like you said, are
not bringing anything noteworthy to the table. I don't know
that Cardi b brought anything to the WWE or any
eyes to WWE that weren't already gonna tune in. All
(38:37):
we got from her one commercial that air for a
few months, a little bit of back and forth on
Twitter between her and a few of the wrestlers, and
then she shows up Night one, clearly reads from a
teller prompter and then leaves and we never see her again.
Didn't even show up at all for Night too.
Speaker 11 (38:58):
Without getting to her head on myself, I have very
little good things to say about Roll, but you know
what he at least looked like he gave a shit,
he was trying the like he I think at least
extributed in some form or fast into the program in
a way Hi Cardi B did not.
Speaker 10 (39:17):
Yeah, I'm sorry Vallid, because he's the type of celebrity
that they should be embracing and bringing into their product,
people who are genuine fans, who are genuine and genuinely
into it. Not every person has to wrestle a match
or go as far as he did, but at least
people who were genuine wrestling fans and understand the crowd,
(39:38):
the people, the environment, not somebody who's just there just
because either WWE is popular now and they want to
attach their name to the product and loo and you know,
bleach a little bit off of w w a's fame
or give the rubbed WWWE or whatever it is. But
there are enough fans out there, are enough celebrities out
(39:59):
there who are genuine wrestling fans that they could bring
in that could mean something. I mean, hell, we just
had raw this past Monday in Brooklyn and you had
genuine wrestling fans who were there, celebrities. Methan Man was there.
He's a he's a genuine wrestling fan. You can look
(40:21):
it up. He's been at multiple events in the past.
You know, Joe Budden, I'm assuming he was a He's
a genuine wrestling fan. People like Metro Booming, like, there
are other celebrities you can reach out to and bring
in if you want to, you know, tie that you know,
WW product with celebrity fame and that and such. You
(40:45):
don't have to go reaching out for somebody who probably
doesn't give two ships about it, only there because y'all
cut them a check.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
You think they have learned from the.
Speaker 11 (40:59):
Days right when like some of the some of the
people came and like were really into it and they
were fun, and some of the.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
People couldn't have given less a fuck. Yeah, I knows.
Speaker 11 (41:08):
We're fucking disassed, and you think they would have, you know,
at some point, and like Henny, only get people that
are actually gonna connect to this and maybe uh maybe come.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
To some rehearsals and maybe you.
Speaker 11 (41:22):
Know, it's just somebody was just going to cot there
and squawk and screaming.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
You know, I don't know. Anyway, let's talk about some nestlings.
Speaker 8 (41:32):
I know how to do this one, this long run
Cardivy get it.
Speaker 10 (41:38):
I mean maybe maybe maybe she misled them. Maybe they're
in the initial conversations, maybe she was you know, piped
up for maybe she is a wrestling fan or or
was at some point, and then as things progressed, maybe
they just, I don't know, somehow didn't pan out the
way they thought. Who knows. But anyway, back to the
(42:02):
actual wrestling first match, Roman Range jay Uso facing bron
Breaker and Bronson Reid coming out with Romans Jordan's still
yeah the shoe lafalla. Yeah, I'm glad they held on
to that, at least for Summer Slam.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
I'm glad they continued that.
Speaker 10 (42:27):
Obviously, the match itself took a while to get going,
but once it actually did get going, Yeah, But once
it did get going, it was a good match. I think,
you know, they were definitely out there brawling, beating the
ship out of each other. Again, I think Bronson Reid
(42:47):
and bron Breaker, I really think those two could have
gone on just by themselves and Paul Hayman and really
been a force and a strong team to be reckoned
with those two as a faction, both individually.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
And collectively as a team.
Speaker 10 (43:04):
Because they didn't show any weaknesses and no flaws in
this match. Granted they did take the l you know,
and I'm glad that Jay was the one to actually
get the pen, which she got on what Bronson Reid right, Yeah,
he did, Bronton reed. And there were other elements that
were interesting, you know, like Roman I think a couple
of points in this match taking making the sacrifice for
(43:27):
j you know, most notably at the end of the
match where he took the spear from bron Breaker. That
was an attempt initially meant for Jay and he took it.
So is this Roman leaning leaning a little bit more
in the babyface department or was he just doing it
just for family?
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Who knows?
Speaker 10 (43:45):
But overall, good match, very very good match. Good way
to kick off the show. Where you at on this one.
Speaker 8 (43:52):
Wayne, dude? I agree, great match to kick off the show.
I mean I asked, I think maybe it was a
little to lengthy. The match was like twenty one minutes. Uh,
but you could I guess you could really chalk that
all up to entrance theme. I mean, the entrance is
just long for all these papers for both nights.
Speaker 14 (44:14):
It entrances and video packages just filled this fucking this.
Uh you know, it was just a filling Uh. I
did like how Jay and and Roman the gear kind
of matched. You know, they look good with the black
and white. I was dying when I heard the shoe
(44:37):
lafaala reference.
Speaker 8 (44:40):
I was I was dying, man, Doyle, you and you
and the discord had me crying.
Speaker 14 (44:45):
Man, just with the shoelafalla.
Speaker 8 (44:51):
I didn't know that roman rains were like a size
fifteen dude, Like I wear a size thirteen, and I
thought I had big ass feed. I was like, holy shit, fifteen,
things were huge around his neck. Holy crap. So uh yeah,
and he also got his zass beat again, and he
got this week and he got his shoes taken again.
(45:15):
Poor poor Roman. He just can't keep hold of his shoes. Man,
He's don't come out and flip flops next week, you know.
Uh yeah. I enjoyed this match, of course. You know,
I think one of the biggest issues with Jay Usso
and his entrances. He comes out, he eats, and he
gets kind of gets kind of gassed man before the
(45:38):
match starts, and uh, you know, and then during the
middle of the match they start yeating again. In the
middle of the match, I just come on, man, I'm good.
I don't need to be eating during the match. Heke's
match going. I get it. Maybe it's set them up
for him to do a top rope spot, you know.
(46:00):
I I I was really thinking that, you know, Bronson
reading bron Breaker would have benefited greatly going over. But
then how the rest of the night played out. I
kind of was okay with it and understood. I mean,
it would have been a big win for them, but
to beat like two former world champions clean that would
have been that was that would have been tough. But
(46:22):
you know, it was a very good match. You know,
it shows that you know, bron And and Bronson can
you know, you know, dancing the ring with Roman and
j two former world champions without seth rons in the picture,
and and put on a decent match. So I don't
(46:42):
think this feud with these four are done after this week?
Uh seen Roman get beat again, his ass beat again.
So I don't know where we're going with this?
Speaker 3 (46:55):
Are we are? We?
Speaker 8 (46:57):
Are we adding another oose?
Speaker 4 (46:59):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (47:00):
I don't know. Yeah, I don't know where we're going
with this, but.
Speaker 11 (47:05):
Doell well, yeah, this was a fun, fun way to
start to show.
Speaker 12 (47:11):
Drey, you said that man, did this start flow?
Speaker 11 (47:15):
But that's okay For the first match, I just kind
of yeah, I waiting, like you said, I thought the
Heels should have gone over here, and it looks like
we're right.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
It looks like they wrote there was a little bit
of that.
Speaker 11 (47:30):
They're writing Roman off of TV for a couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (47:32):
With that, you know what did he take? Two? Three?
Speaker 11 (47:35):
Tsunamis on raw? So it's saying, well, I put the
why put Roman.
Speaker 12 (47:40):
Over if he's just gonna disappear again?
Speaker 11 (47:42):
Yeah, I thought that the heels really would have benefited,
but you know what do I know?
Speaker 3 (47:51):
But yeah, it was a fun match. You got to
see some things the guys don't usually do.
Speaker 15 (47:56):
You know.
Speaker 11 (47:56):
Roman had that big sand over the top rope and
kind kind of overshot.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
And nugging. But yeah, I mean all all four of these.
Speaker 11 (48:09):
Guys are incredibly athletic, so it's cool to see them
kind of bouncing around.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
Off each other. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (48:17):
I could have done it at the mid mid match
eat session as well, but that's just me.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
I'm a little uh, I'm a little eat it.
Speaker 11 (48:25):
Out, So we say, uh we Yeah, fun match for sure,
A good way to say Saint John's but It is
strange seeing Roman during the day.
Speaker 12 (48:35):
I feel like it's been.
Speaker 11 (48:36):
A long, long long time since we saw Roman in
the sunlight.
Speaker 3 (48:44):
But yeah, good start.
Speaker 10 (48:47):
Yeah, I mean, granted, I understand, I get watch. Some
people think that Bronson Reid and Brown Breakers should have
gone over because you know, they're the up and coming guys.
They're the ones that need to look strong, but up
against people the caliber of Jay and Roman, it makes
(49:09):
sense that they took the l and I think they
protected Roman and bron Breaker, who were, you know, the
probably the two highest profile among the ones in this match.
By having Jay get the pin, he looked strong over
Bronson Reid, who was the one that could you know,
take the pin with little with minimal impact to him.
(49:32):
You know, Roman can't take the pin after what just
happened to him and getting the shoes snatched. And on
the subject of the shoe snatching thing, I hope they
don't run with that too hard.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
It was a cool moment when it happened. It got
everybody talking.
Speaker 10 (49:46):
I don't think they needed to do it again on
Monday Night Raw and that does that shouldn't become a
thing that I don't know if it's gonna work as
a thing if they try to turn that into part
of Bronson Reed's gimmick, like he beats people glasses and
takes their shoes. Maybe it can work a little bit
if he does it to everybody, But everybody ain't out
there wrestling in shoes. Some people out there in their
(50:08):
wrestling boots and gears. He's gonna snatch their ship too.
Maybe it can work to an extent, but I think
it'll only work if y'all are planning on pushing him
up the card.
Speaker 11 (50:22):
I wonder what would happened if he wrestled Kevin Vanreks,
who doesn't wear shoes at all, or riddle or wrestle.
Speaker 10 (50:31):
But I mean, like, if he's just gonna beat people's asses,
take their shoes, and then lose matches, you know it's
gonna cancel.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
They're gonna cancel each other out.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
And think it's probably a Roman specific saying.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
I'm hoping so well.
Speaker 12 (50:50):
I Hammond called them the tribal thief.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Yeah, see that's the thing. I don't know.
Speaker 10 (50:57):
If it's a Roman specific thing, then I think it
should stop this what this Monday? He can't just keep
stilling Roman shoes all the time. Eventually, that's gonna start
to impact Roman, especially.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Right. He can't just keep losing his damn shoes.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
He can't keep rolling.
Speaker 10 (51:18):
Yeah, and if they're gonna keep it as part of
Bronson Reed's thing, then it needs to be something he
does to everybody.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
And I don't know that he can do it to everybody.
Speaker 10 (51:29):
Everybody in out there in shoes, some people are It's
a lot harder trying to take somebody's wrestling boots off
than it is Jordan's. If it were up to me,
I think this past Monday and Night on Row should
be the last time he does it and just leave
it there or another way to make the feud interesting.
(51:52):
Any other thoughts on this initial match, No, I.
Speaker 8 (51:56):
Will mention though I don't know if you guys saw
in the crowd. We know longer just have a green
shirt guy. We also have a yellow shirt guy. Now
what Yeah, there was a guy with a yellow smiley
face shirt in the front row as well, and then
I think it was night two, there was another green
shirt guy behind him, so we had two green shirt
(52:18):
guys and a yellow shirt guy. What is going on?
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Multi verses tearing apart at the.
Speaker 8 (52:26):
Scenes, dude, give it like three years, it'll be like
just the whole front row will be just smiley face shirts,
different colors.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Green Shirt Guy has found his reverse flash.
Speaker 10 (52:39):
Yeah, apparently those two actually came together. Apparently they know
each other and are like friends, and they actually came
to the Poe together. I think somebody mentioned it in
the discord.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
I think.
Speaker 10 (52:56):
I think they posted a tweet or something from the
yellow Shirt Guy because somebody called out the fact that
those two were together, or that the green Shirt Guy
was like giving the side out of yellow Shirt Guy,
and I think somebody had tweeted that. I think yellow
Shirt Guy responded and said, dude, we literally came here together.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
That's funny.
Speaker 10 (53:24):
So moving on to the next match match too, with
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss facing Judgment Days Raquel Rodriguez
and Rock Sanne Perez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship,
a match that went on for just over thirteen minutes
(53:47):
and saw Charlotte the team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa
Blizz come out on top to become our new ww
Women's Tag Team Champions. And they matched that, albeit predictable,
was still decent, good enough and I think got the
appropriate amount of time. I don't think it needed to
(54:10):
be any longer. I don't think it needed to be
any shorter. I think it was good. They went out there,
did what they had to do, put on a good match,
got to the finish, gave us a little bit of
suspense in it with uh was it? I think Alexa
had hit Charlotte at one point during the match, and
then we thought Charlotte was gonna get her licked back,
(54:31):
and then just for Charlotte to take out Raquel, allowing
Alexa list to get the pen.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
There's a good match.
Speaker 10 (54:42):
Nothing really, you know, wow, you know, super memorable about it,
other than maybe that finish. But it's a good match
and I think the right team won. What he thoughts
on this one, Doyle, I liked.
Speaker 3 (55:01):
It a little more than you did. I really am enjoying.
Speaker 11 (55:06):
Uh, Sarlon and Alecta as one of those like you know,
friend of me tag teams, you know, which, of course,
it's only a matter of time before somebody turns on somebody,
but you know that'll be fun to see whatever it happens.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
Uh, Yeah, I'd like there. They're back and forth kind
of interplay. Uh, you know, Alexa accidentally hitting Charlotte and
then we'll you know, Charlotte ends up saving or at
the end.
Speaker 12 (55:31):
Uh So, yeah, it was a lot of fun and I.
Speaker 11 (55:33):
Uh, you know, rock Stan's fucking great. She's you know,
a future main eventor probably for the rest of the decade.
Speaker 12 (55:42):
And I was I didn't like Rockel.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
Rockel is doing some of the best work of her career.
Speaker 11 (55:46):
I think during this run the Judgment Day, I've been
hoping for her to get something more interesting to do
than she had been.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
For her weird in things she had to had her
out for a while.
Speaker 11 (56:00):
I'm glad she gave up the flexing, the back routine thing.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
That just what I'm working for. But yeah, I've always
liked her. I don't know why.
Speaker 11 (56:10):
I don't know that she does anything staccat really well
or anything, but.
Speaker 3 (56:13):
I just something about it I've always liked. So I'm
glad to see.
Speaker 11 (56:16):
Her doing well. I think she's doing the best work
of her career. So yeah, I thought it was been
a lot of fun. And yeah, of course Charlotte and
Alexa winning is the right call, I think, Yeah, who knows,
what do you ever go? Ongoing Judgment Day saga will
continue and so well, Charlotte and Alexi's uh, you know,
(56:41):
will they won't They come to blows with each other
kind of relationship.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
So yeah, I'm excited to see work us.
Speaker 10 (56:49):
I mean yet, don't don't get me wrong, I like
the pairing of Charlotte at Alexa. Like I said in
in our preview episode, this is the most likable that
I think Charlotte Flair has been in a long time, right,
she like between this and some of the more new
(57:09):
vulnerability that she's shown in you know, certain interviews and
stuff like that that's bound its way online, it's made
her a much more likable and a much more relatable person.
So yeah, that, Yeah, that, and Lexa Bliss just has
personality and charisma for days like effortless. So it makes
(57:32):
for an excellent pairing between those two. Although I will
say this past Monday on RAW, when they were out
in the ring together, it had to cut a promo
live in front of the crowd. Did not quite come
off as well as some of their backs give me,
some of their backstage segments have gone off, you know,
but again, they haven't had to cut too many promos
(57:53):
in front of everybody together, so maybe that will get
better over time as they you know, this dynamic develops further.
But that's like a minor nit pick. Either way, I'm
still happy with both of them and where they're at
with it.
Speaker 8 (58:10):
What you had on this mash, Wayne, you know what
this is like another tag team pairing that you know,
it's very odd, but I'm starting to like it, and
I think it's getting Charlotte over, you know, with the
help of Alexa b Lists, you know, with her popularity.
It reminds me a lot of Orton and Matt Riddle.
(58:34):
I get a lot of vibes like that, Like this
tag team. We don't think it's gonna work together, and
then they kind of vibe well and the crowd likes it,
and you know, it benefits both of them, and it
definitely spices up the the women's tag division. I mean,
right now, it's great. You're keeping these two out of
the main event and we're gonna help elevate the women's
(58:55):
tag titles. I just hope none of them get injured,
because you know, that's just the curse with these types. Yeah, dude,
like the curse. I'm just I was like, fingers crossed.
Nobody gets hurt, you know, these the two really good
wrestlers to have these, you know, to be in the
hands of I didn't think that it would help Charlotte
(59:17):
get over. I mean, she just seemed like naturally an
unlikable character, you know, like no matter what, she was
just gonna get booed. But it seems more and more
she's getting cheered, uh, And I think that's awesome. The
I agree, Dre. The false finish at the end was
pretty good, you know, because kind of curious if things
(59:40):
would have fallen apart if they didn't get the titles,
you know, on that night with you know, Alexa and
Charlotte accidentally knocking each other out or something like that.
You know, I definitely thought for sure. And the way
they panned the camera was great work too, making them
like Charlotte was gonna big booter or something, and you know,
(01:00:02):
you couldn't quite make out what she said, and you
know the fact that she kind of like saved her ass,
you know, and made that pin and we got the
sister Abigail's ended out of all finishers. So I don't
I don't know where they go from here, who who's
next on the tag team chopping block, But now we
(01:00:23):
know with these tag titles off of Judgment Day. If
liv comes back anytime soon, I could definitely see an
issue there, like, you know, where's the tag titles? Oh?
We lost them? Who lost them? Well, technically I didn't
get pinned, you know, I don't know, so we're gonna
(01:00:45):
get I also feel like there's gonna be some waves,
you know, from that too, So Judgment Day is gonna
feel that. But overall, good match.
Speaker 10 (01:00:58):
Yeah, potentially a Swiman Live gives a shit about those
tag team titles when she comes back, right.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
Yeah, I mean, who knows. When she comes back, this
story might be you know, long time. It might be
good for her.
Speaker 11 (01:01:14):
Actually, you know, she can come back to a totally
fresh start.
Speaker 13 (01:01:17):
You know.
Speaker 10 (01:01:20):
And I will say I do like that Alexa Bliss
has been the one getting the pin or getting the
win for the team in the last couple of matches
because quite frankly, she's probably got one of the best
finishers in the women's division with that sister Abigail. And
it's it's not like the move is particularly particularly devastating
or anything. I mean, it does, from an impact standpoint,
(01:01:42):
look pretty tough, but it's more so it's the setup
it's the fact that she can sit there and be
smiling or whatever and just look as pree as you
want to. But the second she gets that move, her
whole face changes, and I think that's what sells the
move more than anything.
Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
She gets that.
Speaker 11 (01:02:00):
Yeah, a lot of finishers, a lot of finishes, you
can't see the person doing its face well clearly like
you can with hers.
Speaker 10 (01:02:09):
Right, or they're doing something else like being overly emotional
about their finish or whatever. Like if it's somebody like
Cody who's acting like this is the heaviest person he's
ever lifted up by the back of their neck before
he hits his crossroads or whatever, you know, stuff like that.
But a finisher that just has a good setup before
the impact. Been a while since we've had one of those.
And yeah, Alexis got it again without being over the top.
(01:02:34):
Is just she gets that evil, demonic look on her
face and then everybody rides to their feet and then.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Boom, she just hits it.
Speaker 10 (01:02:42):
And I think it was pretty dope how they pulled
how she did it this Monday too, catching who they.
Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
Have to match with Monday.
Speaker 10 (01:02:53):
Damn mm, they didn't have because they didn't have a
rematch with Rocksanne and rock Yo this past my day.
Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
Who was it that they wrestled.
Speaker 10 (01:03:04):
I don't know either here nor there, but I remember
she caught the person coming off. Yeah, I just remember
she caught the person coming off the rope and the
way they said it and the way the shot was,
you know, framed.
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
You didn't see Alexa.
Speaker 10 (01:03:16):
You just saw that person hit the rope and as
soon as they came off the rope, boom, Alexa just
caught him right in a Sister Abigail. So it's a
dope finisher. Just wanted to put that out there before
we talk about this next match, which was totally meaningless.
Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
I don't.
Speaker 8 (01:03:34):
Let's hear about it. Huh, let's hear about it.
Speaker 10 (01:03:41):
Yeah, Sammy's Ain versus Carrying Cross a singles match where
the stipulation was had carrying across one Sammy z Ain
would have to admit that Cross was right about Sammy,
that Sammy is not a good person. In other words,
(01:04:02):
if Cross won, Sammy would just have to admit the
fucking obvious that everybody with a brain should already know.
But if Sammy's Ain won, then Carrying Cross would have
to admit that he was in fact wrong about Sammy's
ain and that Sammy's ain is in fact a good person,
which is a bold faced goddamn lie. And much to
(01:04:28):
my disappointment, Sammy's ain won this match, leaving carrying Cross
in the ring looking up with him at him.
Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
We didn't even get the admission.
Speaker 10 (01:04:42):
Yes, when the match ended, Sammy's a just looked back
at him and just said we're done.
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
I'm done, and look.
Speaker 10 (01:04:52):
Yeah, yeah, okay, it's like we didn't get the admission there.
Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
They weren't.
Speaker 10 (01:04:57):
Neither him nor Scarlett were on Raw this as Monday.
Apparently their contracts are set to expire this weekend, according
to you know, various outlets, and they.
Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Have not been offered.
Speaker 10 (01:05:12):
Yeah, I mean just now, Yeah, they want to think
right as things stands, as of what we know now,
which yeah, in light of this weekend, we know not
to trust a gaddamn thing out of WW but as
things the way things stand now, as we know it,
their contracts are set to inspire this weekend. They have
(01:05:33):
not been offered new contracts. We did not get Cross
or Scarlet on Raw this past Monday. There was no
acknowledgement that Sammy was right or anything. It, the match happened,
and there's been zero payoff to this storyline. So the
(01:05:57):
funck was the point of this ship?
Speaker 12 (01:06:01):
Oh yeah, I mean I couldn't agree with you more.
Speaker 8 (01:06:04):
Yeah, me too. We're all on the same page here.
You know, what was the purpose of this match if
we didn't even get the payoff? And and then later
finding out that like all this hard work was kind
of like I don't know, for this build for carrying Cross.
You know, it seemed like he was slowly getting over
(01:06:25):
and he he was beating Sammy's ass every week on
on Raw. Like you know, he may have lost the battle,
but I think he's the one who won the war
at the end.
Speaker 12 (01:06:35):
H But.
Speaker 8 (01:06:38):
Now they apparently his contracts up and he's done, like
just like that, Like I thought. I thought he resigned
to be honest a while ago when he was having issues,
but I guess that was only for a year or temporary.
Like the time just flew that quickly, I guess. I mean,
(01:07:00):
we got the you know, Scarlet would toss across the
pipe and here's Sammy's ain was able to avoid it
and hit the Blue Thunderbomb, which, by the way, blue
Thunderbomb I think should be his finisher. I always thought
it was such a cool move for him. He just
never makes a pin with it.
Speaker 10 (01:07:17):
Uh, But you know, I think he's too small for
that to be his finisher.
Speaker 8 (01:07:23):
I mean I was surprised he got carrying a cross
blue thunderbomb.
Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
Yeah. That's the thing.
Speaker 10 (01:07:29):
Like the fact that he's even pulling this off on
people much larger than him is already like, Okay, he's
got some you know, some sleeper power you know, and
stuff like that. But he doesn' always hit everything clean,
Like what was it the what's the the ship he
does where he swo plexes him into the into the turnbuckle,
(01:07:50):
the bucklet bomb.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Like that ship he damned?
Speaker 10 (01:07:55):
Yeah, but that thing right there was a botch, like
he damned the put cross on his neck and they did.
Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
They weren't close enough to the turn buckle for it
to happen. So he does he does.
Speaker 16 (01:08:07):
Personally, Yeah, I mean that he went to the regular
finishing sequences, you know, cross was you know, distracted.
Speaker 8 (01:08:19):
You know, and then the halluva kick for the wind.
Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:08:24):
Yeah. No, I don't know now what Scarlett's fantastic I'll
tell you that. I guess we can all agree on.
Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
That too, right, Yeah, she looked good as always.
Speaker 8 (01:08:35):
Great eye candy, hell of an outfit, all those spikes
and ship then putting your hands on her. But hey,
I really don't have much to say about this fucking match.
Speaker 3 (01:08:48):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:08:48):
You know, we thought we're gonna get uh Cross Sammy's
ain using the pipe there and and we didn't get that.
We didn't get we didn't get the the apology Cross
Sammy's ay one Cross had admit that he was wrong
about him. I feel like he said something after he
got pinned, you know, but it should have been something
(01:09:11):
like kind of similar how to and I quid is like,
you know, give him the mic say it like. We
didn't even get that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Nope, nothing, just.
Speaker 10 (01:09:23):
Just Cross laying in the ring looking up at Sammy
and Sammy walking off.
Speaker 8 (01:09:27):
Yeah, what'd you think?
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (01:09:32):
I mean, in terms of a match, it could have
gone either way and that would have been intrigued.
Speaker 12 (01:09:37):
And if there was any intrigue to be had.
Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
It which wasn't. Who gives a ship carried?
Speaker 11 (01:09:45):
As far as the contract thing goes, they were promoting
his book before.
Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
The show.
Speaker 11 (01:09:54):
And then they put him on, you know, their second
biggest show of the year that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
Sounds me that he has a contract. Uh. I don't
think they would do that if they didn't.
Speaker 11 (01:10:06):
But I don't know what the I don't know what
to play is for trying to create this contract drama
and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
I really don't know where they're going after the show.
Speaker 11 (01:10:15):
Apparently, uh fucking Paul Polly big Nose without in front
of an audience doing the post show, and the crowd
is scanning, we want.
Speaker 15 (01:10:25):
Cross, we want Cross, and he goes, oh, you can
hear him saying this is after night too.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
You canna hear what I'm saying, we want we want Frock.
Speaker 11 (01:10:34):
So I don't know if that was a conscious effort to.
Speaker 12 (01:10:38):
You know, acts like he doesn't hear.
Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
The fans, or maybe he really didn't hear the fans
it was the pots.
Speaker 11 (01:10:44):
I don't know, but I don't think he would have
been on the show at all if he wasn't signed
going forward. Uh, maybe the play is to keep him
out for a couple of weeks and then bring them
back doing something completely different.
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
It's nothing to do with sandwy'sdame, and we just.
Speaker 12 (01:10:57):
Never mentioned that's ever happened.
Speaker 11 (01:11:00):
Uh, and moves Amy onto somebody else in the meantime
that like, I see.
Speaker 12 (01:11:06):
But he's one of those guys that he's like.
Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
The idea carrying Cross is great.
Speaker 11 (01:11:10):
I really liked the idea of carrying Cross, but in
in in practice, it's just something's missing. I don't know
what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
Because I think his character's cool.
Speaker 11 (01:11:21):
I've often said, like, I think I would have a
character similar to his character if I was gonna try
to come up with my own character. But it's just
I don't know if it's his matchins don't work or
what uh.
Speaker 3 (01:11:36):
But something's that.
Speaker 15 (01:11:37):
I mean, he's clearly something that the audience has last onto,
but there needs to be something past that, and I
just don't know what it is or how I can
find it.
Speaker 10 (01:11:50):
I think right now, fans are more attached to Carrying
Cross the professional wrestler than carrying Cross the WWE superstar.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
It's like the idea of Carrie Across.
Speaker 10 (01:12:06):
They really like him him as he exists within the work,
within the industry of professional wrestling, people are attached to.
I think people lashed onto the guy who has something going.
Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
Even if they doesn't know what it is.
Speaker 10 (01:12:21):
The guy that people want to support, but the corporate
machine doesn't seem to be backing him even if he's
starting to get something going on his own, Like he
think about it, he really he didn't become interesting more
so because of what he was doing on camera or
what he was doing backstage. He became interesting and got
(01:12:45):
people's attention because of what he was doing online because
he was more or less quote unquote breaking k fabe
and venting his genuine frustrations online about the product and
probably echoing a sentiment that a lot of fans were
(01:13:05):
actually feeling. And I think that's where he got that
started to get that connection with the fans as he
was relating to them or connecting with them as fans
of the product, wanting to and not being satisfied or
happy with what they're being given.
Speaker 11 (01:13:26):
So far with guys, again, real popular on the internet,
but it rarely hems be able to translate to actual.
Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Success, you know, like like Matt.
Speaker 11 (01:13:37):
Cardona I think is a great example of that, like
very similar. You know, God gets himself over the internet,
loves him or whatever, but it's just never, at least
not in ww A.
Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
Anyway, because he has Mac Cardona.
Speaker 3 (01:13:53):
Well that's also true.
Speaker 11 (01:13:55):
Yeah, before that, even the Kennon himself over on the internet.
But you know before when he was what was it
Zach Ryder, So I mean he's doing that back then,
but he just never never could make it happen on
the main roster. And I mean he just seems to
be doing well in the indies.
Speaker 10 (01:14:14):
So he's the king of the indies, right, And like
I said, carrying Cross, the difference with him is that
he's doing this while still being part of the w W.
Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
So he's almost like that I.
Speaker 10 (01:14:33):
Don't know, that insider type thing like that, like if
the fans were to have somebody quote unquote on the inside,
maybe he represents that, and maybe that's why they've flashed
onto him because you can't say it's anything that he's
done on camera, because he ain't done nothing on camera
(01:14:54):
enough to really.
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Other than other than the interview.
Speaker 10 (01:14:59):
Which I wasn't even part of the ww the post
that wasn't even the interview he gave after the WrestleMania
that wasn't on w W.
Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
It was on somebody else's show.
Speaker 12 (01:15:09):
Yes it was.
Speaker 11 (01:15:11):
It was on somebody else's show that is WWE affiliated,
but it wasn't a WWE production.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
Product, right, It wasn't ww's post show. So right, Yeah,
it's that. That's why I say I think.
Speaker 10 (01:15:25):
Fans are attached to carrying across the professional wrestler, not
so much carrying across the ww superstar.
Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
He's got.
Speaker 10 (01:15:35):
Yes, when Cross comes out on WWE, he's getting the cheers,
but it's because of who he is or what he's
doing outside of WWE, more so than what he's doing
on their programming.
Speaker 12 (01:15:49):
So we'll see somewhere.
Speaker 10 (01:15:54):
Yeah, yeah, the character, the character that we're getting on
television isn't white matching the person that we're seeing online.
Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
And we've seen people have gotten over the best.
Speaker 10 (01:16:08):
When the person we see on TV reflects a certain
measure of who they really are, but just turned up
to a certain extent, it feels more real, It feels
more natural carrying a Cross. For all that he's doing,
still feels like he's playing a character on television, albeit
(01:16:31):
very you know, well developed, when someone's been doing for
a while. They's clearly putting us all into But how
much of this character carrying Cross, the black and white,
the talking people you know backstage you're not really a
good person, Sam being yeah, yeah, blah blah, how much
of that is actual?
Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Care? Is actual?
Speaker 10 (01:16:52):
The actual person and how much of that is just
the character of carrying Cross. I think that's where some
of the disconnect may still exist.
Speaker 2 (01:17:10):
But either way, we.
Speaker 10 (01:17:10):
Shall see after this weekend where it all goes. I
think we talked about him more than longer than the
actual match itself went on for.
Speaker 8 (01:17:19):
Yeahs, Yes, we did not.
Speaker 10 (01:17:24):
A goddamn thing to say about Sammy's ain. Why because
Sammy's ain is boring as fuck. The only thing I'll
say about Sammy's ain is he needs something, because right
now he is boring.
Speaker 3 (01:17:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:17:40):
I mean, I would love to see him turn heel,
but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I
would like he's gonna do a baby face run first title.
Speaker 8 (01:17:50):
Yeah I think maybe, Yeah, he would have turned heel here,
you know, using that pipe, but he's better than that.
Speaker 11 (01:17:58):
I guess unless they're ising all this, I will be
sampion Ton, so I guess as possible.
Speaker 10 (01:18:06):
Yeah, I'm sure he'll be on TV next week and
be like, now that you don't carrying Across, what's next
for you? It's now it's time for me to work.
It's on me, right on me, and let's carr Across
distract me for too long. I need to get back
to doing my thing doing going between my dreams and
Michaels and.
Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
I'm coming after the w w Championship seth brows. I'm
coming to you shut your dumb mass up, same thing
and get stumped and take a l.
Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
What's happened?
Speaker 10 (01:18:38):
So moving on from that match to match four of
the night, Tiffany Stratton facing Jade Cargill for the WWE
Women's Championship and what was the second shortest match of
the night.
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
And possibly the.
Speaker 10 (01:18:59):
Most surprising finish of the night, Tiffany Stratton fucking won
retained the title against Jade Cargill. I don't know that
none of us picked Tiffy to win, did we?
Speaker 8 (01:19:12):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
I don't think so.
Speaker 11 (01:19:14):
And like it wasn't even like it wasn't even like, uh,
you know, Jaye looks you know, looks valiant and defeat
kind of thing.
Speaker 12 (01:19:23):
It was just like it was a college over.
Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
Yeah, and that's my other.
Speaker 10 (01:19:29):
Like the match was only seven minutes, seven minutes and
five seconds, so it was even shorter than the Sammy's
Ain and Carrying cross match. And for the majority of
that match, j Cargill dominated Tiffany Stratton and then all
that happened was Tiffany Stratton. What I think J Cargill
missed one move. Tiffany Stratton hit her with something, hit
(01:19:53):
the moon salt and.
Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
Got the pin right. Yeah, that is terrible fucking storytelling.
Speaker 12 (01:19:59):
Match.
Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
Yeah, that's that's terrible match storytelling.
Speaker 10 (01:20:03):
When you're champion to get the ass whoops and then
hit two moves and get a pen. It makes Jade
look like an unworthy title contender, that she can be
so dominant and then just that two moves she lose.
You know, I know that there's been a lot of
rumor and talk that WWE have lost faith a bit
(01:20:24):
in Tiffany Stretch, I mean not and j Cargill that
at one point they were comparing her. They were looking
at her and rear Ripley as being the two faces
of the women's division moving forward, and now that's no
longer the case on j Cargill's part, which if true,
then it's a bit disappointing and that doesn't bode well
for Jade's future prospects. From my perspective, I think Jay
(01:20:50):
Cargill has been improving, She's gotten better. Look at her
matches now compared to what they were when she first
started with WWE. She looks tangibly better. Are there still
mistakes here and there? Yes, nowhere near as much as
they were in the past, nowhere near as obvious in
the past. In fact, in this match, there was a
(01:21:13):
bit of a mistake happened Jade who made the actual
save on it, and that's when she hit Jaded and
was going for the pen on Tiffy and realized that
Tiffany Stratton wasn't close enough to the ropes for that
for her to put her leging position and Jade people
interpreted as a botch, but it was really more so
Jade correcting the mistake by putting Tiffany's leg in position
(01:21:37):
to be on the rope.
Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
You know, to me, that speaks to her learning. M h,
you know something good.
Speaker 11 (01:21:50):
I just say that was as good as good or
better than a performance that she's had in w w
E and in the time she's been there.
Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
I think.
Speaker 12 (01:22:01):
It did.
Speaker 3 (01:22:01):
You know. The only real criticism I would give is that.
Speaker 12 (01:22:05):
I don't think I've said that she was deliberate, Like
you can see the wheels turning.
Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
I have to go do this and I have to
do that.
Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
Then she's gonna go over there, and I went over here.
Speaker 11 (01:22:13):
We're going to do that, And I think she she
did get a little better with that, but the whole
match kind of felt very careful or very choreographed, maybe even,
which is fine, especially because even think about it, Tiffany.
Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
Stratton's green is graph too. Yeah, he's only been doing
this for a couple of years.
Speaker 11 (01:22:35):
Also, uh, to kind of a testament to the post
that they're able to get to such a you know,
high mark inflation in the business so quickly. But you know,
maybe that's the answer for Jade is to kind of
script her maunces a little more than you would to
other people, you know, And if that's the constant doing
(01:22:55):
business and making je look.
Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
Good, so be it.
Speaker 17 (01:22:58):
I don't I mean, I'm obviously not performer, but as
a viewer, I don't have.
Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
A problem with that if you can kind of see
it a tiny bit.
Speaker 11 (01:23:08):
Just because I think if you find it out she
obviously maybe although Dre you didn't make up a great
point of hernal information improvagation there was very good, But
I feel like moments had that for her kind a
few and far between. Maybe maybe she's getting it out,
(01:23:29):
Like I said, she I think really he is not
lack missus the benefit of the house that serrika, you know,
getting to perform with the same person, even you know,
every night in front of an audience, you know, three
four times a week or whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:23:46):
I think it really hurts a person like her, really,
you know.
Speaker 11 (01:23:50):
It's all good to go do the moves in the
performance center or whatever, at the total other things, do
it in front of ten thousand, twenty thousand and fifty
thousand whatever it is, Uh than it is.
Speaker 2 (01:24:04):
Yeah, that's a great point you just brought up.
Speaker 10 (01:24:06):
And I was gonna touch on that because I believe
I think it was Rock San Peres and somebody else
in the women's division WWE said it, uh this week
or that or recently that.
Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
I don't remember.
Speaker 10 (01:24:26):
I can't remember exactly what they said word for word,
but basically said something that WWE needs more house shows
because there are certain wrestlers who need those reps that
you only get in the house show circuit by working
these matches in front of crowds without the you know,
(01:24:47):
television cameras on, and some people who don't don't get
who would greatly benefit that from that, aren't getting it.
Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
You can only do so much at the PC. You know,
you can only do so much.
Speaker 10 (01:25:03):
On raw or an XT and certain stars, once they
reach a certain point, you're not gonna put them back
on like you know, Evolve or something like that to
try to get reps in because that's like a demotion
and the way everything is covered nowadays, people will pick
up on that and tear somebody down with it. That's
(01:25:23):
where the house shows were beneficial from.
Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
And somebody like a J. Cargill would probably greatly.
Speaker 10 (01:25:29):
Benefit from being able to work the house show circuit
because she didn't have that.
Speaker 2 (01:25:35):
She doesn't have it here in WWE. So where is
she getting her reps?
Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
How many times did your team?
Speaker 11 (01:25:44):
Is your team drafted a wide receiver and the kid
looks great in practice and he catches everything in practice,
and they put him in a game and he can't
catch a fucking cold right and then and then when
I've happened, he stops getting you know, he stops getting
his number calls, so he's not in the game as much, stories,
not getting as much chances to catch her path and
you know, with lives NFL defenders and friendly soon you know,
(01:26:08):
two years later he's released because you know, like because
he doesn't get.
Speaker 12 (01:26:13):
Those reps you know, or or or the guy that
you know he involved in practice hits.
Speaker 11 (01:26:18):
Home run, home run home when he gets up and
it strikes I got struck out in the real game,
you know, And I think, like I don't think Jade's
light that level, but yeah, she needs those repsence she's
it's never going to get them, and it kind of
sucks for her.
Speaker 10 (01:26:33):
Right and that's, you know, slowing her development. I believe
if she if she were able to get those reps ands,
she'd probably be much further along than she already is.
Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
Yeah, Wayne, Greed top in here. Wayne, we're you at
with this?
Speaker 1 (01:26:50):
You know?
Speaker 8 (01:26:53):
When I think, yeah, I agree, this is an outcome
nobody saw coming. Like we we all had penciled in,
like Jade winning Perst storyline, it made sense, like, you know,
we got her this far Queen of the Ring, you
got her all this way to lose. Like I was
just so confused. Like don't get me wrong, like I
(01:27:16):
I understand, like the the streak Tiffy has for this year,
being undefeated this year in general, the push that they're
giving her is is Tiffy the one wrestler that Jade's
gonna have coming up in her career that you just
you just don't have her number.
Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
You know.
Speaker 8 (01:27:37):
Charlotte has had a couple women like that where it's
just like, no matter every time you face them, you
just don't have her number.
Speaker 3 (01:27:45):
And when you.
Speaker 8 (01:27:46):
Finally do beat her, you know, it really means something.
Uh Ria, I think had that with with Charlotte. Just
couldn't beat Charlotte for the longest time, and you know,
when she finally did it, it meant a lot. And
it was at WrestleMania, So maybe that's what this is.
Like Jay just never gets over Tippy, you know, and
one day she does and the I'm sure these two
(01:28:08):
will cross paths again. You know, this match was full
of suicide dives and prettiest moon salts and choke slams
and power bombs and Falcon arrows. So I mean, very
well played out, moved for move. Uh you know, I
(01:28:30):
I enjoyed it. I think Jade had some awesome ring
gear like she always does. This one was representing the
Jamaican flag, I believe she Yeah, she always has good
cosplay gear, you know, I think one one time she
did recently she did want to storm which I thought
was fucking awesome. But yeah, I mean I enjoyed the match,
(01:28:54):
and they had good seven minutes to go. Uh, you're
not looking at two. You're not looking at like Jade
mixing up with a very experienced wrestler, like Doyle said,
somebody who's just as green.
Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
You know.
Speaker 8 (01:29:09):
Uh, these two are coming up together. I expect more
from this feud down the road, Like you know, Uh,
I definitely see this using some trash talking later like
you just you're one who's just never beaten me, who's
just never gotten my number. I am a little confused of, like,
(01:29:31):
where the hell's Jade go? Now? Yes, Naomi still has
the title. Does brand splits really fucking matter anymore?
Speaker 3 (01:29:42):
You know?
Speaker 8 (01:29:42):
That's where I naturally thought she would have gone. Did
not think that they would get her all the way
to Tiffy and then fail. I mean, I thought it
would have been cool to have Naomi and Jade Cargloss
champions at the same time and Bianca kind of not
having the goal and being able to kind of pick
(01:30:02):
and choose it who she wants to go after. But
I guess that's not the fucking case anymore. So everything
I had idea why is going for Jade after this
kind of out the window. I kind of don't know
where she's gonna go from here, you know, I hate
saying it, but uh, back of the line. You know
(01:30:25):
that's normally what happens when you lose these title shots. Uh,
you know, it's back of the line. You gotta you
gotta start over, you know. Uh, it's kind of fair
and square. I mean, even though it was a prettiest
moon soul to roll up, you know. Uh yeah, uh
(01:30:46):
that's all I got.
Speaker 10 (01:30:51):
Well, as far as the whole back of the line thing,
it'll be interesting to see how w W really does
play that after this weekend, given that there are two
women who should be going to the back of the
line based upon what happened. We'll see if both of
them are treated the same, and if both of them
do in fact get sent to the back of the line.
Speaker 2 (01:31:13):
And yeah, where does Jade go from here? Who knows?
Speaker 10 (01:31:18):
Maybe she falls back into the mid card division and
works her way up. Sure, I mean that's a route
that could we could go down, and maybe the payoff
of her becoming champion does come at a later dated
That's all.
Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
It's all TBD.
Speaker 10 (01:31:35):
We'll see depends on how they book her from here
moving forward. That will say a lot about what they
still think of her and her potential as a future
main of vendor.
Speaker 3 (01:31:52):
Her going after the US title is a great idea. Actually,
is that that's the show she's on?
Speaker 2 (01:31:58):
Right SmackDown? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:32:01):
Yeah, Yeah, Okay, I think that's I think that's a
great idea. Yeah, if you're not gonna, if you're gonna, if.
Speaker 11 (01:32:09):
You're gonna about right of the out of the title
the world title picture, I think that's a good idea
for her.
Speaker 3 (01:32:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:32:17):
And I mean, Julia is gonna need some you know,
bigger name opponents to face. Whatever she wraps her business
up with with Zelina Vega, she's gonna need to move
on to more higher profile names, and Jade Cargill would
fit that bill. But then they have to make the
(01:32:38):
decision does Jay Cargill take another l or does she
take the title off?
Speaker 12 (01:32:46):
Hm?
Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
Hm A lot to juggle mm hmmm yeah. Well, next match.
Speaker 10 (01:32:57):
Match The Door was looking forward to the most all weekend,
Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul facing the team of Randy
Jordan and the roles of Jelly.
Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
And seventeen Minute Tag team match that at the very
least was entertaining.
Speaker 10 (01:33:22):
And I mean this type of match when you especially
when you have celebrity involvement who are clearly not actual wrestlers,
the most you can hope for in the match is
that it's entertaining, that you get good entertainment value, and
in that regard, I think the match delivered. I do
think it delivered in the entertainment department. All three of
(01:33:44):
those guys worked their butts off to make Jelly Roll
look as competent as possible, even though he barely ever
moved outside of that Infinity logo in the middle of
the ring.
Speaker 11 (01:33:58):
Everybody the world's slowest sidewalk slam or whatever whatever he
did to Drew it was the slowest I've ever stick.
Speaker 10 (01:34:08):
Yeah, and honestly not as clean as the one that
he did on Smackdowns. I mean, he's done a cleaner one,
but he also probably had much more air in his
lungs at that when he did one on smack Down
versus trying to do it at the end of a
match here where he was probably gassed.
Speaker 2 (01:34:22):
All the hell, and.
Speaker 10 (01:34:26):
Props to him for taking that fucking table spot from
Logan Paul, even if he did lay up there for
an ungodly amount of time, and at some point it
just looked like he was just literally sitting there looking
at Logan Paul like you're gonna jump me?
Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
Yeah, and Cole's going he's out cold, obviously.
Speaker 11 (01:34:44):
He just entrusted himself on the table like he was
obviously not as.
Speaker 2 (01:34:50):
He shifts position.
Speaker 11 (01:34:52):
A couple I'll call it a couple of those this weekend,
it was just like, what the fuck are you talking about?
I think in the in the Punk match, he said
something like, yeah, we said another punk is out, and
it was like Punk was standing up in the process
of like obviously he ended anyway.
Speaker 10 (01:35:10):
Yeah, Sometimes sometimes I guess when you when you're calling
that you make you're already a little bit ahead of yourself,
and you're already Braine has already sent the message to
the mouth, and the mouth starts saying it, and then
something else is happening in the ring.
Speaker 2 (01:35:22):
It is like, oh shit, Well yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:35:26):
He did have a couple of botches over throughout the
weekend as far as Michael Cole himself, but this match
did see Logan Paul Andrew McIntyre win when uh, it
was Jolly Roll took the pin too, didn't he?
Speaker 8 (01:35:47):
M Hm, how rare is that the celebrity and takes
the pin?
Speaker 12 (01:35:55):
Well you know what, Well, I mean celebrity should time.
Speaker 10 (01:35:59):
Right, And I actually appreciate that from from jelly Roll,
the fact that he was like, no, I'll take the pen,
because you know, even if the whole storyline is me
standing up to Logan Paul, at the end of the day,
they're right, I'm just a celebrity. I ain't got no
business being in here, all right, So yeah, I should
(01:36:21):
be the one that caught to lose the match.
Speaker 2 (01:36:25):
So props to him.
Speaker 10 (01:36:26):
Again, Props to him for at least having that understanding
and not being you know, so full of himself for
arrogant enough to think that he should not be the
one to take the pin. Props to him for having
that level of humility. Hop In Wayne, what do you
think on this match?
Speaker 12 (01:36:45):
Who Man?
Speaker 8 (01:36:47):
Definitely an interesting, Definitely an interesting. Jelly Roll did more
than I thought he was gonna do. He took a
lot more uh spots. I was actually pretty damn impressed
with the the table spot man, like he actually he
actually went through the table.
Speaker 4 (01:37:05):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:37:06):
I was pretty impressed, Like for for celebrity to take
as many bumps as he did. Uh, you know. And
then I think the first half of the match they
had him basically like away from Morton, uh, taking a
lot of like you said, didn't lead the Exfinity logo
very much in the beginning. They kept him grounded right
(01:37:29):
in the right in the center.
Speaker 2 (01:37:33):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:37:34):
The fans hated Paul Logan.
Speaker 4 (01:37:36):
Paul.
Speaker 8 (01:37:37):
We got like fuck you Logan chants, which I thought
was great. You know, everybody played their part pretty well
for this. You know, we got the holy shit chant
when when it was justified. Uh, I think it was
funny when we had all the medical people come out
and try to have Jelly roll out. Was like six
(01:37:57):
people trying to carry him out. He's knowing the whole
the whole crying thing and you know, or trying to
make the tag. And there was a point where they
panned back to Logan Paul and me and listener Dwayne
were watching and and Logan Paul just makes this this face,
like the face of going like what the fuck's wrong
(01:38:18):
with this guy kind of face, And I was just
I was just fucking dying, you know. And I'm also
talking about like, uh, when I see. You know, I'm
at that point now where like when I see you know,
in that ring, like there was only one celebrity there
and there was three w W superstars in that ring,
like Logan Paul, I see in my eyes now, you know,
(01:38:40):
as time went by, he's just a WW superstar. I
don't find him as is this internet dude, this YouTube
guy anymore. Like I look at him with a little
bit more respect, you know, more and more every one
of his matches, uh, the caliber, his matches.
Speaker 3 (01:38:56):
Who he's going with, you know, and champion for Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:39:03):
I mean, like he's just there's not many guys who
can just come into this business and do what they
do and and pick it all up. And like you know,
Logan Paul just he does. He's he's decent on the mic, right,
I say, he's pretty decent on the mic. I don't
roll my eyes Whenever Logan Paul gets the mic, he
gets he he plays his character well and he's naturally
(01:39:26):
a fucking heel. So people hate him. It works great
in his favor in this business. He's athletic, he he
he has a gimmick he has. I like his music,
I think, uh, you know, the moves that he does
is pretty damn shocking. Like you always know when Logan
Paul is in a match, there's something good off of
a high spot's gonna happen, you know. And and Logan
(01:39:50):
and Jelly Roll were willing to put their bodies on
the line for a holy shit shann and I you know,
I was all for it. It wasn't Orton and Drew
McIntyre that did that spot. It was you know, a
singer and a YouTuber, I guess. But like I said,
at the end of the day, I just I don't
look at him like that. No more like this guy
is a WW superstar. You know, respect where it's given.
(01:40:17):
But yeah, I mean, jelly Roll got huge response. The
crowd loved him. I mean, even when he was getting
up from his table spot, you could hear the crowd
even though he was off camera, just cheering for him.
I also assume this isn't the last time we see
jelly Roll. I'm sure he'll be he'll be back again.
Speaker 12 (01:40:37):
So but.
Speaker 8 (01:40:40):
Yep, that's all I got.
Speaker 10 (01:40:43):
Yeah, I mean, I think Logan has long since earned
the respect of fans as a wrestler. I think we've
definitely all gotten to that point.
Speaker 2 (01:40:53):
But he's still an Internet douchebag.
Speaker 18 (01:40:58):
He's I mean, when they brought him in, I thought
they thought, you know, all this guy's got in, however
many million followers, they're gonna love him.
Speaker 11 (01:41:10):
I think they expected him to be this huge babyspace
and then when he wasn't, it took him a while to.
Speaker 3 (01:41:19):
Roll with it. I don't know.
Speaker 10 (01:41:26):
I think I think Logan Paul is very self aware.
I think he was very self aware. Yes, he does
have a he abouly has a massive following on YouTube,
but I think he's very much aware of how polarizing
he is and how controversial he has been in the past.
(01:41:47):
So I think at the very least, he was very
self aware that coming into WWE, people probably were more
likely to boo him than cheer him. I don't think
Logan Paul came in thinking these guys are gonna love me,
I know. I think he came in very much aware
of the fact that chances of our fans were going
to boo him and to touch, you know, touching back
(01:42:09):
on the whole carrying cross thing, this is where Logan
Paul works, and carrying Cross is not working because Logan
Paul what he's doing is basically an extension of himself
turned up, and that's why he works so well as
a heel, because that's kind of what he's made his
(01:42:30):
Internet fame on was being an Internet trolling heel.
Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
He just brought it to WWE and turned the dial
up to ten.
Speaker 10 (01:42:40):
And that's why it works for him, And it seems
so natural, and he's so damn good at it to
go with his athleticism and his natural talent to pick up,
you know, the art of wrestling.
Speaker 2 (01:42:53):
So yeah, for him at all.
Speaker 11 (01:42:57):
Well, I think he just said he looks the part,
you know, so he brings an air of believability that say, uh,
you know, Delli Rowl doesn't.
Speaker 12 (01:43:08):
You know, Delli roll doesn't look like professional rest.
Speaker 17 (01:43:13):
Maybe maybe in the eighties, you know, uh maybe when
when you know, the paths and Bogers and the earthquakes
and the tugue boats were roaming.
Speaker 3 (01:43:24):
The Roman the kars. Uh. But you know, I made no.
Speaker 11 (01:43:32):
Uh secret about the fact that I cannot stand sell
the roll but credit recreditson he didn't look I mean,
I wasn't expecting luces out there or anything, but I mean,
he don't.
Speaker 3 (01:43:46):
I don't think he embarrassed himself, uh.
Speaker 12 (01:43:49):
Which I was.
Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
I hope I don't.
Speaker 12 (01:43:50):
I don't know how much humility he has to be.
Speaker 11 (01:43:53):
Embarrassed, uh walking around with uh you look like somebody
drew on your face and you passed out, uh with
your stuns on at a party.
Speaker 3 (01:44:05):
Much ability has.
Speaker 11 (01:44:06):
To be embarrassed. But I don't think he embarrassed himself.
The credit where creditors due. He held his own a
little bit out there. It was a fun, entertaining match.
It kind of about pallet cleanser kind of match. This
is also the match like the whole weekend, just the
match of order seems simplest hard to me. And we'll
(01:44:27):
talk more about this than we do Night too.
Speaker 3 (01:44:30):
Uh, just a.
Speaker 11 (01:44:31):
Weapons fatigue and night too. This is kind of like
pallet cleanser kind of match. I think you stick in
between a you know, a street fight and a no
DQ match to kind of break it up a little bit.
I questioned why this match, you know, was on nine
one and away from all these other car crafts matches
where I think this would have been a really good
(01:44:52):
change of pace kind of match on night two.
Speaker 3 (01:44:55):
It was about the night one, But it's kind of
not a here or there. Yeah, I mean it doesn't
match what happened. It was fine, it was fun. This
is kind of your your comedy match maybe if you will. Yeah,
for what it was, it was fine.
Speaker 2 (01:45:11):
Uh yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:45:12):
I don't think we've seen the laps of jelly roll
unfortunately or fortunately.
Speaker 15 (01:45:18):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:45:18):
I want you to get up into the world title
hunt again.
Speaker 11 (01:45:22):
He was doing such fucking great work for so long
and I think it's time he gets rewarded.
Speaker 10 (01:45:33):
Yep, no disagreement there at all. Any other final thoughts
on this match before.
Speaker 2 (01:45:40):
We move on to the main event.
Speaker 3 (01:45:44):
No, the main event, all.
Speaker 10 (01:45:48):
Right, I'll think that is a no moving on final
match of the night. Well, main event of the night. Yeah,
see him Punk facing challenging Gunter for the World Heavyweight
Championship and a match that went on for.
Speaker 2 (01:46:06):
Quite some time.
Speaker 10 (01:46:07):
Longest match of the night at just over thirty minutes,
and it was a good match. I don't know that
this match was enough to save Night one overall. I
think we kind of talked about it in the discord.
This match this night was pretty dagone, lackluster in terms
of the overall sense of Night one, But this match,
(01:46:29):
along with the opening match with Broman, and Jay and
Bron and Bronson were clearly the two best matches of
the night.
Speaker 2 (01:46:37):
Obviously this match.
Speaker 10 (01:46:39):
I probably give this match the edge as far as
being the match of the night because it was. It
was a bangover match, Like they went back and forth.
They were beating the not out of each other. Gunter
was chopping the dog shit out to see him Punk
Punk was taking it and giving it just as well.
We even got some blood in this daggone match, which
(01:47:02):
in some deserved blood, some warranted blood. For as hard
as they were going at each other, you know, somebody
had to get some color at some point, and for
it to be Gunter kind of a bit of a surprise,
although apparently there were you know, none or outside of
the ring reasons for it, but that's neither here nor there.
But then the match yourself. It worked, It helped elevate
(01:47:25):
the match. It wasn't gratuitous, it wasn't unnecessary, and.
Speaker 2 (01:47:31):
Ultimately, when it all came down to it, Seeing Punk
one I didn't. I don't think I picked Seeing Punk
to win. I think I picked Gunter Retain.
Speaker 3 (01:47:43):
I think did you pick picked Gunter?
Speaker 4 (01:47:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:47:47):
Two right door?
Speaker 3 (01:47:48):
I picked gun Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
Yeah, Wayne did you pick Punk to win?
Speaker 8 (01:47:53):
I think I picked Punk to win.
Speaker 2 (01:47:55):
I thought one of us picked Punk to win.
Speaker 1 (01:47:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:47:59):
I just felt like this was it, man Like, this
was it. This was he was gonna get his flowers
finally from busting his ass for so fucking long and
you know, coming back to the company and stuff like.
But like at the same time, I I kind of knew,
man Like, I kind of knew what was gonna happen afterwards.
I've been I've been talking about this ever since he
(01:48:21):
won the briefcase, you know, like how I've been just
talking about it since then. Man Like, what how how
great would it be if he catched it and took
that from the one person he would you know, I
want to take that from Not only is he win
in that world title, he's taking it from the one
person he probably hates most on that roster.
Speaker 10 (01:48:42):
First storyline, well, I hadn't brought it up yet, but
he's talking about seth rollins after this match, cashing in
the money in the bank briefcase on CM Punk and
taking the title from Punk.
Speaker 8 (01:48:57):
But yeah, oh sorry, uh yeah, I I I had
Punk one in this because that's what I just thought.
That's I didn't suspect the absolute finish at the end.
But yeah, Punk winning the goal was my Uh, it
was my prediction. But I don't think any of us
(01:49:19):
predicted what would happen after that.
Speaker 12 (01:49:24):
Well actually goes through it.
Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
Yeah, on the match first, the.
Speaker 11 (01:49:36):
Match first, this is as good a performance since Punk
is given us back. I thought, yeah, you know, like
you said, dry, Uh, I don't. I don't generally have
a problem with blood. They don't need to see it
every match, but it makes sense. It makes sense, and
you know, when the ball league finally gets his nose
(01:49:58):
busted and sees his own for the first time, kind
of talents. Uh, you know, that makes sense. You know,
So I didn't have a problem with it. Maybe his
injury is legit or not.
Speaker 3 (01:50:16):
TV for a couple of.
Speaker 10 (01:50:17):
Weeks, he does have a legitimate injury that is going
to require some surgery, but i't so he they I
think it's something something related to his nose that he's
getting surgery on, and so he's going.
Speaker 3 (01:50:31):
To be out rather in orbital.
Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
I think, yeah, that's what they said.
Speaker 10 (01:50:40):
Yeah, that's what they said on raw because well, the
blood that he's sustained, the injury, he's sustained quote unquote
the KFA injury.
Speaker 2 (01:50:49):
He's stained in the match.
Speaker 10 (01:50:50):
Obviously the blood wasn't coming from his nose, it was
coming from his forehead and face area, so make it
make sense on television they had to say something orbitable related.
But I think the actual injury is something related to
his nose that he's gonna have to have surgery on
that's gonna put him out for a couple of weeks.
And they used this match and that the blood and
(01:51:11):
all that as a way to write them off television.
Speaker 3 (01:51:14):
Interesting.
Speaker 11 (01:51:15):
Interesting, Okay, good because I was just gonna say, I
hope they're not running to get another fake injury angle,
because like, I don't know, I kind of I don't.
You know, we discussed the possibility of Alls catching in,
but I don't think they of us thought it was
going to because I think we all.
Speaker 3 (01:51:31):
Believed he was actually injured.
Speaker 4 (01:51:33):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (01:51:34):
But it's just the problem with this I have is, like,
you know, because we just saw this actually happen with
Zoe Stark right where the blugging me out, they stopped
the match.
Speaker 3 (01:51:43):
They carry her to the back, and then the next
time that happens.
Speaker 12 (01:51:47):
Everyone's going, nah, that's you know there there. It's just
a part of the story, right.
Speaker 3 (01:51:52):
No one's gonna believe it, uh. I just think it's
kind of you know, it's one thing to.
Speaker 11 (01:51:57):
Say that the four horsemen jumped Upsy relative gas station
and broke his leg.
Speaker 3 (01:52:01):
You know, that's one thing, but you know, shop.
Speaker 2 (01:52:05):
A match and.
Speaker 3 (01:52:09):
I just kind of rubbed me the wrong way a
little bit. Although I must have met I do.
Speaker 11 (01:52:14):
Appreciate the commitment to k feb where he's you know,
running around with the kid on.
Speaker 3 (01:52:19):
His punches and stuff. I know, tell THEE that was
pretty good. But you know, I kind of have a
problem with the fake intory thing, just the way they
did it.
Speaker 11 (01:52:31):
I thought we could have done something similar but without
because I just feel like it's the next time someone
gets hurt, no one's gonna believe it.
Speaker 3 (01:52:39):
You know, And I just feel that's kind of a
disservice to whoever it is, and there will be someone
to get seriously hurt in the ring next time.
Speaker 2 (01:52:49):
Yeah, that's a valid point.
Speaker 10 (01:52:50):
And and so the point that you brought up way about,
you know, storyline perspective, it made sense and we had
all talked about it for while. Now that you know
the possibility of Punk winning the title at SummerSlam, Seth
Rollins cashing.
Speaker 2 (01:53:06):
In and immediately stealing it from him.
Speaker 10 (01:53:08):
I'm pretty sure I think I may have pitched that
very that exact scenario at some point earlier this year,
or one of us in this probably pitched that exact
scenario as it played out here. Well, not to the
team because obviously the injury wasn't a factor, but we
had all kind of predicted. I think a lot of
(01:53:30):
people in a lot of fans had predicted the prospect
of seeing Punk winning the title and Seth Rollins immediately
cashing in on him and taking it away and ruining
that moment. That's a scenario that everybody kind of saw
coming a mile away. And yeah, they may have thrown
some people off with the the injury. The Seth Rollins injury,
(01:53:55):
which was I guess was probably a clear attempt to
throw people off the trail of the very obvious scenario
that everybody saw coming a mile away. So when it
still wound up happening despite the injury, at least for me,
it didn't quite hit the scene because it's like, oh,
Seth Rolins music, kids, Okay, he comes out, He's crutches. Okay,
(01:54:20):
he's like, I'll cut eye on you.
Speaker 2 (01:54:21):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (01:54:22):
So he's just making a threat. Oh he's taking the
knee off.
Speaker 1 (01:54:26):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:54:26):
So they're doing exactly what I thought they were gonna do.
Speaker 10 (01:54:29):
And that was pretty much my thought process as it
was playing out, because I'm watching it. I'm watching it,
I'm watching it, I'm watching it. Oh, they're doing anything
that I said that they were gonna do a long
time ago. Okay, and Seth Rolins's champion. Yeah, to me,
it didn't really hit the way it could have had
(01:54:50):
they not played up the injury angle or yeah, had
they gone some different route to try to throw us
off the trail. You know, maybe if they had just
kept Seth Robins clean and gave him an actual match
here at SummerSlam with somebody, and they could have played
(01:55:10):
up the injury during the match itself, there would have
been less time for people to speculate or try to
see through it. And yeah, props to Seth for doing
everything he could to commit to it, because, as he said,
once he was in those crutches, he did that for
the whole month. He talked about how, you know, he
(01:55:33):
started to become a little irritable about it. He was
a little worried about his shoulder getting injured from doing it,
from walking around with these crutches so much, I think,
he said, him and Becky went out to dinner with
biancle bell Are and Montes for one night, and he
was in the crutches like he was fully committed to it.
So props to him for that. But yeah, they probably
(01:55:55):
could have done it in a better way that could
have maybe elicited a more genuine surprise, right, because yeah,
for me, it didn't really hit anybody else have any
thoughts about the cash in or how was that secuted
or anything?
Speaker 8 (01:56:16):
Uh yeah, I mean like the match and the cash
and like, you know, this extremely long match and given reason,
you know why to get you know, Punk gassed you
know for the cash in, you know between the the
Oh my god, dude, like the chest slaps, holy shit,
(01:56:38):
I mean, Gunther beat his ass. Oh. Also, I like
punks gear the Fantastic four it was it was modeled
after which I thought was pretty cool, good timing, good color,
Grim saying yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, like overall, I
(01:57:02):
did like the match. There was multiple times though during
this match that Gunther and Punk just weren't on the
same page with a certain move. I mean, they just
look confused. There was a few times that happened. I
was like, oh, God, like is it because it's such
a long drawn out match is the reason why they
(01:57:23):
had such an issue trying to remember all these spots or.
Speaker 2 (01:57:28):
I don't know the circuit and you know, before you
go in front of the cameras.
Speaker 8 (01:57:39):
Right, you know, after this match, I guess we were
all thinking the same thing. We're like looking at the time.
The time is the dead giveaway sometimes with these pls
or or even you know, rawl or SmackDown. When stuff
like this happens, you're just like, oh, we still got
some time left, like something's gonna happen, and you know,
(01:58:00):
me and doing it is just like all right, we're
happy punks won the title. You know, he's crying. It's emotional,
like I'm happy and I'm just like in the back
of my head and like, by no, this is gonna
be this could be taken away from it. I'm just
waiting for it, waiting for it, and then out of nowhere.
(01:58:23):
I love having that Uh yeah, you're just out of it.
Just perfect, man, Just burn it down. The crowd.
Speaker 11 (01:58:30):
What's that speaking of time, Speaking of time, Phil has
like four or five minutes to get the.
Speaker 12 (01:58:38):
Fuck out of there, and he doesn't since they're like
a dope.
Speaker 3 (01:58:42):
It waits for a set to come down and his
brains and take the bounce off the idiot.
Speaker 12 (01:58:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:58:50):
Yeah, the moment you see him drop the cane drop there,
he's not injured by yes, don't run away from the fight.
Stand there and either fight them all or get their
ass kicked.
Speaker 8 (01:59:08):
And the crowd that's why I would have done, you know,
like screw that.
Speaker 11 (01:59:17):
I'm success though, for successfully handing the briefcase with somebody else,
because it's always like.
Speaker 3 (01:59:23):
You know, hold and hold it.
Speaker 12 (01:59:25):
He's boom, here you go, bring one, two three.
Speaker 11 (01:59:31):
Apparently beneck sus kids told the kid's teacher that he
was taking this has been something like that daddy fortiding
to have a bootoo and they had to go to
the teacher and be like, okay, you can't tell eh, okay.
Speaker 10 (01:59:48):
Maybe what they could have done to try to alleviate
that whole you know, time gap between seth revealed and
him coming down to the ring and punks just standing
there watching it happen the whole time. Maybe Seth should
have come to the ring in the crutches and stood
there in front of Punk, in front of punkins, you know,
(02:00:11):
reminding him, Hey, I've got this briefcase. I'll be coming
for you at some point, YO, talk some shit or whatever.
And then in comes Bron and brought him from behind,
and they put the beat down on him, you know,
just whooping his ass after the match, just a little bit,
not nothing over top, but they start stopping him out
and then they hold up, they hold up, hold up
(02:00:35):
Punk and he's looking at Seth, and that's when Seth
drops the canes, takes off the brace, takes his shirt off,
and then hands' briefcase to him, when Punk's already beat
down and just looking up and like shit, that might
(02:00:57):
that that could have been maybe a better way to
execute it, just thinking off the top of my head.
Speaker 3 (02:01:03):
Speaking a breaker. He looks pretty banged up there after
this match. He looked all right by Monday, but when
then he came out.
Speaker 11 (02:01:12):
After Seth one, his leg was all taped up and
he had a pretty bad limp.
Speaker 12 (02:01:19):
I guess, I don't know.
Speaker 10 (02:01:22):
Monday, I noticed two things. One he clearly had some
sort of knee brace, underneath his pants. And two, he
seemed to stay to the rope. Like when Seth was
in the ring cutting that promo, Bronson re I mean,
Bronson was pretty much always in the middle of the
ring or not too far away from Seth. Bron kind
(02:01:44):
of stayed a little bit more to the side, like
closer to the ropes.
Speaker 3 (02:01:48):
Like yeah, I mean he was getting involved physically with people.
Speaker 2 (02:01:52):
Didn't get involved. I'm not saying that.
Speaker 10 (02:01:55):
I'm not saying that he's like, you know, actually injured,
but it could be one of these things where it
could be the case of bad timing where he really
can't afford to go out with the injury right now.
Speaker 2 (02:02:05):
So maybe it's some hurt.
Speaker 10 (02:02:07):
You know, he could be hurt but not injured, and
he's working through it and just hoping. Yeah, he's just
working through the pain, hoping it will heal on its own,
or hoping he can you know, rehab his way to
getting it better, as opposed to you know, saying, hey,
I need time off, I need to get away to
to rehab this or get some sort of surgery or
(02:02:29):
have it looked at for possible surgery, because yeah, you
got admit it, like right now would be a terrible
time for him to go down boundary.
Speaker 3 (02:02:37):
Mm hmm, any of them?
Speaker 8 (02:02:43):
How's the hell of an ending though to the night one?
I'll tell you that going through with a busted face.
See uh, you know, seeing Punk winning and losing the
world title and uh e Cethrol's standing tall?
Speaker 2 (02:02:57):
You know, I will say, though I'm world heavyweight champion.
Speaker 8 (02:03:03):
Could you could you imagine how tall they would have
stood it? If Bronson and bron Braker won their first match?
Speaker 3 (02:03:12):
No?
Speaker 8 (02:03:13):
Does it even? I guess Uh, I'm going to overshadowed
all of that and justified it in the end.
Speaker 10 (02:03:23):
Yeah, they would have looked maybe a little bit more
dominant if you'd had you know, them standing there next
to them, knowing that they had defeated Roman and Jay earlier. Sure,
but then again, if they did that, suppose they had
done that by going the route of of them winning
(02:03:45):
by Broun pinning Roman. Yeah, now you've got the image
of seth Rawlins, newly crowned world heavyweight champion for the
second time, standing next to a guy who just got
a pin over Roman reigns. It'll be a little bit
of conflict of power dynamics there.
Speaker 12 (02:04:08):
Hm.
Speaker 2 (02:04:10):
So I think I think I think it worked out.
Speaker 10 (02:04:14):
I think I think it worked out fine, especially considering
that they just you know, whoop Roman's fucking ass on Monday.
Speaker 2 (02:04:20):
Again with no help.
Speaker 3 (02:04:25):
They definitely got the heat fast right.
Speaker 10 (02:04:28):
They got they got it right back, and I'm surprised
that there was no Jay involved. It's so it's the
few now about to be l a Knight see him
punk and Roman reigns taking on the vision.
Speaker 2 (02:04:46):
That doesn't bode.
Speaker 10 (02:04:47):
Well for JA because that seems to lead to me
to believe that they are going to go in fact,
with the plan of sending him over to SmackDown to
help out Jimmy and Jacob, which is cool for Jimmy
and Jacob, but not the best for JA unless they
really book him as the being the strongest of the
three and he's the hero that makes that Hee makes
all the difference.
Speaker 2 (02:05:08):
I don't know, We'll see, We'll see.
Speaker 8 (02:05:13):
We're going to do week Night number two next week,
so it gives people listeners a nice amount of time
to have space, you know, in between two episodes. Also,
if you guys want to go back and rewatch Night two,
then we can be more in depth with it. So
(02:05:34):
that's all I got though, man for the night one
trade you want to plug anything?
Speaker 10 (02:05:43):
Nothing as always Instagram dot com, slash PCW podcast.
Speaker 8 (02:05:50):
Cool doll.
Speaker 11 (02:05:54):
Yeah, I'm just in the discord and if you watch
again the Facebook page of like it's PCW podcasts grassy
cool cool.
Speaker 8 (02:06:04):
Uh yeah, I got nothing, but uh, I guess I'll
play this out here we go burn.
Speaker 3 (02:06:11):
It d.
Speaker 8 (02:06:17):
See you.
Speaker 2 (02:06:21):
You are the world's dumbest sign up A bit the
fact that day.
Speaker 9 (02:06:29):

everybody in the world that I am the best on
this microphone and in that break and given a commentary,

Speaker 4 (02:06:41):

Speaker 5 (02:06:53):

Speaker 2 (02:07:01):

you something, brother.
Speaker 4 (02:07:14):

Speaker 4 (02:07:33):

Speaker 4 (02:07:51):
Bye bye. Bit's
