Welcome back to another episode of PCW podcast Championship Wrestling.
I am your host, Wayne also known as Semi Dry Chicken,
and we are here for night to Electric Boogooroo of

(04:00):
Summer Slam. That's right. We had to do a two
episode for Summer Slam because it's now two nights, it's
extremely long. They were able to gather a grand total
of thirteen and twenty two people over the weekend and
we're gonna get into that, but first let me bring

(04:21):
in my co host.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
Oh, I might have been telling you now.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
It's just me okay, dang, just me.

Speaker 9 (04:38):
Day chuck me.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Okay, d a lot of lack of bad luck.

Speaker 5 (04:44):

Speaker 7 (04:50):
I only get them all.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
I want to get them all.

Speaker 7 (04:57):
Oh you.

Speaker 9 (05:02):
Welcome back to the show, yo, Yo?

Speaker 5 (05:06):
What it do?

Speaker 11 (05:07):

rate USO is on your podcast.

Speaker 9 (05:15):
That is all right, Let's get right to it, man,
Let's bring him on out. Let's get him here we go?
Where is he at?

Speaker 5 (05:27):
You better wash our.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Wash out, don't get yours for.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
You better wash out your last shaft.

Speaker 9 (06:00):
Caution style.

Speaker 7 (06:03):
It means hopefully my voice holds up so.

Speaker 12 (06:09):
Little under the weather, but I should be on the
last day, and I hope, hopefully, hopefully we make it through.

Speaker 9 (06:16):
You got that Summer Slam flu?

Speaker 7 (06:19):
Yeah, I got a fever and the only description sports entertainer.

Speaker 9 (06:25):
Oh if you got a fever? What a coincidence? Because
the next pay per view is NXT heat Wave.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
Oh what about that?

Speaker 9 (06:33):
I know right, we're like already going into Clash in Paris.
That's what's after heat Wave. Yeah, I mean, I mean
Summer Slam overall wasn't wasn't bad. I mean for two nights,
not as much of a build up as we get

(06:54):
for wrestling in it, which is almost like sometimes a
whole year for some of these feuds. Uh, Like we
said this kind of felt rushed, you know, putting this
card together. Some matches were built, some stores.

Speaker 12 (07:07):
Reminded me, kind of reminded me when a band releases
a double album, right, and it's like he took half
of the songs off the first album and half of
the songs of the second album, made them one album.

Speaker 7 (07:20):
It would have been a great album. Yeah, I kind
of how I felt them out time.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
It's it would have made a great way to describe it.

Speaker 13 (07:30):
We could have made a great, like like seven match
card out of these two nights, but instead we were
kind of watering it down a little bit.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
That's what happens when we chased the dollars.

Speaker 9 (07:50):
Yeah, I mean, uh yeah, you got they had like
a couple more thousand Night two there. Night one is
fifty three and sixty one, Night two sixty and sixty one,
so a lot more people decided on those one one
night tickets. They were gonna go Night two. I mean,
I guess that's that's how it normally is, right, You're

(08:11):
gonna always go night two if you can only buy
one ticket.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Well, I guess it kind of makes well.

Speaker 11 (08:20):
I guess, I mean one night too has the bigger
main event that everybody that's really selling the show, the
code has seen a match, So it makes sense that
more people are gonna attend night two than night one.
I mean that's kind of how Wreussellmania always works too.
You have a bigger audience on the second night than
you do the first night.

Speaker 9 (08:37):
Yeah, So would you guys call this success.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
Again?

Speaker 5 (08:43):
I guessed it.

Speaker 9 (08:44):
Would you guys consider this a success.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Summer Slam, Yeah, well they would.

Speaker 12 (08:51):
I mean, they made more money than they've ever made before,
so they would, and I think that's that's all they
care about.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 7 (09:00):
As a fan, I'm not sure.

Speaker 12 (09:02):
I mean they're talking about morya Rumble, two nights, Survivor
Series two nights, money in the back.

Speaker 7 (09:07):
I mean, I don't know that. I'm like forward to that,
you know, like I went to.

Speaker 12 (09:13):
Mania being two nights, Okay, It's fine. Whi's been a
couple of years now.

Speaker 7 (09:17):
I'm used to it.

Speaker 12 (09:18):
But I don't need if I don't know if I
need six weekends a year taking off you know, right, man,
that's a lot your whole day, you know what I mean?

Speaker 9 (09:31):
Yeah, it kind of does. It kind of just fucks
it right in the middle too. You know, like you
could have plans and you're like, no, I gotta watch like,
you know, two nights a SummerSlam and then like we're
all right after that, and if I don't't, I'll feel
so lost.

Speaker 7 (09:47):
Yeah yeah, yeah, Well there's so many it's like the
whole thing. There's so much stuff, so much content, it's ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (09:54):
I mean from the moment they announced that Summerstand was
going to be two nights, I was never opposed to
it because I always felt that if there was any
pl that warranted two nights outside of WrestleMania, it's gonna
be their second biggest one, which is Summer Slam. So
I never was opposed to it being two nights, and
even after this, I'm still not opposed to a two

(10:18):
nights Summer Slam. But I do think they need to
seriously evaluate how much more they want to push this
two night thing. Like I definitely don't think Royal Rumble
needs to be two nights. I don't think Money in
the Bank or Survivor Series or any of those need
to be two nights. I think if you extend that
to more pls one it becomes less special and then

(10:40):
it just clearly becomes about greed, which at this point
we probably shouldn't be surprised by tko wwe pursuing greed.
But this did this live up to the two night
hype and that regard, I'm probably gonna say no, it
did not, just because a lot of this, just as

(11:04):
Duill you know, describe, a lot of this could have
been left out. We could have had probably one night
of a really great summer Slam, but it's there, we
got too, okay to good nights.

Speaker 7 (11:18):
Yeah, it's great that Sammy and carry Across gone on
pay per view.

Speaker 12 (11:22):
That's objectively a good thing. But to what end, I
mean approximately, who the hell knows what's going on with him.
It's just like it it didn't do anything. It didn't
serve any per it didn't advance anything, you know. And
this whole notion that like, because it's a big event,
something we need to invent some monumental thing to happen,

(11:43):
you know, be it you know, shocking return, which we'll
get to, or you know, the revelation that Seth's injury
wasn't real or whatever. It's just like, sometimes why can't
we let the wrestling sometimes speak for itself and have
a big moment that happens in the ring. Just be
a big moment and let that be the Obama instead
of having an event something else.

Speaker 7 (12:04):
Oh wait to match it over. But then there's all
this stuff. You know, it's like the Marvel after credit sye.
It don't come anywhere. It's with the health of point.
Can't we can't we focus on.

Speaker 12 (12:14):
The wrestling being the story instead of the thing that
happens next to the story.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
You know what I mean, at least one of the nights.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
Yeah, I get that point.

Speaker 11 (12:25):
And I do think if there's any takeaway from this
that or anything that w W should take away from this,
is that if you're going to have a two night show,
it needs to really be worth it on both nights,
and that needs to be reflected in both the end
ring product and the build up, because I think the
one thing that this Summer Slam definitely suffered from was

(12:47):
a lack of build up. And that's just the further
that's just the domino effect of all the pls that
they crammed into May and June and July two to
three weeks that didn't leave you enough time to make
a proper build up for a two night Summer Slam,
so you had to go off of shock value and

(13:09):
returns and cramming stuff in at the last minute, whereas WrestleMania,
the build for that starts months in advance, they advertise it,
they build it up that way. The road to WrestleMania
starts at what the Royal Rumble. Now, we're not going
to go back in, you know, relitigate how that build

(13:30):
up was this year, but typically in the past it's worked.
If they're gonna do this for Summer Slam and have
this two night thing, they need to start. They need
to consider following a similar path a road to SummerSlam,
and let that start with something. I thought they were
onto something pretty good last year when they were doing
when they had the King and Queen of the Ring

(13:50):
and that led to matches at SummerSlam. That seemed like
a good foundation to build upon, especially going into this
two night format that they were going to do this year.
But they just seemingly, I mean, they still had it,
but they didn't build on it. If anything, they took

(14:10):
more of a step back with King and Queen of
the Ring this year than they did last year. It
didn't have its own pol it was just part of
a show, and from there it was barely even brought
up anymore. So there's definitely hopefully they take some take

(14:31):
away some lessons from this and don't just look at hey,
look at all the money we made.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
Nothing to fix here.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (14:40):
Well, another thing about this card, and I think I
mentioned it on the last episode, is that.

Speaker 7 (14:46):
The placement of some of these matches made no sense
to me. Let's night two and we'll get into it.

Speaker 5 (14:50):
Request.

Speaker 7 (14:51):
I think five of the six matches were no DQ matches,
right or whatever. It is, like, why couldn't we spread
that out a little?

Speaker 12 (14:59):
Like and I mean obviously momentarily we'll talk about the
triple threat to start the show, which is great.

Speaker 7 (15:04):
And luckily didn't get into weapons use.

Speaker 12 (15:07):
But it's just like by the time that the last
match came around, it's just like I've seen enough people
get hit with chairs and get thrown two tables, and
like we've seen that all night already, Like it stops
losing its effectiveness if you if you load all the
weapons matches together. So that was another another another oddity
I found with the construction.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
Of the card.

Speaker 11 (15:30):
Definitely crammed all the gimmick stipulation matches into this night
and left Night one Bear.

Speaker 9 (15:38):
Yeah, yeah, very true. I'm looking. I'm looking in comparison
right now, just singles matches. Well, we had those crazy
stipulations for Sammy's A and carrying.

Speaker 13 (15:50):
Cross, yes, which did not cover in fruition whatsoever, all
the shit.

Speaker 9 (15:58):
Yeah, all right, Well, do you guys want to get
into this, Yeah, into this sweet sweet triple threat that
we were discussing at the opening of the show, Go Ahead,
Dre take Over.

Speaker 11 (16:13):
Yep, that is what kicked off night too, our triple
threat match for the Women's World Championship with Naomi the
champion defending against Ria Ripley.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
And EO Sky. This match probably could have been do
I want to say? Yeah?

Speaker 11 (16:34):
This match probably could have been match of the night
had it not been for the main event. This was
a really good match that went back and forth like
a mug. Everybody got their moments to shine, and we
got a satisfying win from Naomi almost how I predicted it,
but not quite. But she did get the pin on

(16:58):
Rhea a bit to my A bit to my surprise.
I think I had predicted somewhere that Rio was gonna
have Eo defeated what she did. And I thought Naomi
was going to take out Rhea and pin Eo to retain,
but instead she just snatched up Riha with a roll

(17:19):
up and got health the tights and got the pin.
So one, we got Naomi retaining, which was good. I
like that she retained and mean, and this wasn't she
wasn't treated as a transitional champion just to get it
on a bigger name.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
I e Rhea. I'm glad that Ria actually took the pen.
That was good props to her.

Speaker 11 (17:43):
And we're also continuing the whole fact that Rhea has
never defeated Eo Sky.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
So this match was a win all around for me.
I loved it. Were you had on this one, Wayne.

Speaker 9 (17:54):
This is a great opening mess. I mean, let's let's
talk about how Naomi got, you know, play in her
entrance her father that that was that was awesome, right,
Like what a moment. And I was just like jamming
out to it. I was like, oh man, that's pretty
good hearing it played live like this, you know, I

(18:16):
you know, normal triple threat matches, right, there's always gonna
be an alliance of some kind, right, And and we
did see a little bit for sut amount of time
against Naomi the you know, the odds are stacked Dancer,
but uh, you know, just a little mishap and and
have Naomi ducking and then you got real you know,
knocking out Eo. But let's not forget ladys and gents.

(18:39):
This is a triple threat, so you know, everyone's to shock, like,
oh my god, now what now? Now we fight because
this is a triple threat match. I'm glad the Alliance
ended pretty early. When it did, we got to see uh,
you know, Sky do a six to one nine, which
I thought was pretty cool. I didn't see that coming.
And it looks like more than or people are starting

(19:00):
to use the six one nine. Uh maybe because Rage
is not around it anymore. I guess, I guess it's
open for other wrestlers to use.

Speaker 7 (19:08):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (19:12):
I mean, just these three individuals in the ring, they're
they're very good, very very good, and they were able
to keep us well entertained and pretty damn well energized.
The beginning of the show, you know, we got to
see uh Rhea take she took uh Eo to the

(19:34):
top rope to do a rip tide from the top rope.
I thought that was pretty impressive. EO doing a moon
salt outside of the ring. That was pretty cool. I
mean typical heel fashion. How I saw this triple thread
kind of ending with you know, a roll up, somebody
doing all the work and then the heel, the heel
champion coming in and doing the roll up. I mean

(19:57):
I would have done the same thing, right, I mean,
why not so Doyle?

Speaker 7 (20:07):
Yeah, I mean I think we all think that this
match was wonderful. It was really good.

Speaker 12 (20:12):
I think Naomi definitely proved that she can hang with well,
he know, I think it be hard pressed to find
to say anybody's a better women's wrestler right now in
the company than EO and Rhea is in the top
three or four. Naomi proobs she's right there with him.

Speaker 7 (20:31):
So yeah, that was that was good. The entrance was great.

Speaker 12 (20:34):
I thought, you know, you said triple threat match, and
there are you know, all these no DQ matches. I'm
glad they didn't go crazy with weapons in this one
because we just have so much of it the rest
of the night. Yeah, I mean they really did a
lot of great storytelling. It didn't oversay. It's welcome like
another women's match. We will talk about a little later,

(20:54):
definitely did. I think it was like around fifteen minutes, right,
And I could have certainly taking another fifteen more of
these three going at it, but that was just about
the perfect amount of time, not too short, not too long,
you know, too much of a good thing. Definitely saying
you know, let's less sometimes is more. So Yeah, definitely

(21:16):
it kept the kept the rear kind of thing hot.

Speaker 7 (21:22):
Company.

Speaker 12 (21:22):
I think last time suggested that this go on for
years where Ria just can never be you know, I
don't know if that's gonna.

Speaker 7 (21:28):
Happen, but it will be fun to see where that
when they go with that. Now you help me. Now,
it's certainly been in the dirt seats the last twenty
four hours, forty eight hours. You know, she missed her
scheduled match on Raw with the EO that she was
not cleared for.

Speaker 12 (21:48):
Now there's all times of rumors swirling that she may
be out for quite a long time.

Speaker 7 (21:53):
And you know what is the reason. Exactly a lot
of a lot of pregnancy rumors for the maybe not
so cautious.

Speaker 12 (22:05):
During your title n but apparently written did Jimmy and
Naomi On Stephanie McMahon's podcast, tomorrow, which I will never
let but I will read about reading about what I
said the mander some answers there.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
Tomorrow, but.

Speaker 7 (22:23):
And ongoing intrigue coming out of this match, and that's
always good.

Speaker 11 (22:28):
Yeah, I'll tune into the podcast. I mean, it's the
podcast itself isn't bad. I'm not gonna sit here and
that like I listen to every episode. No, but if
there's a guest up there that I'm interested in, I'll
give it a listen. So, I mean, so far off,
listen to the episode where with her and Bianca bel Air.
I want to listen to the John Cena one. I

(22:49):
just haven't gotten around to that one yet. And I'll
definitely tune in for the for the Naomi and Jimmy who.

Speaker 9 (22:56):
So yeah, I'll catch the highlights, Yeah, because we're kind
of curious what's going on with Naomi right now if
she's injured.

Speaker 11 (23:05):
Hey, plus just general for me, it's just general interested
in them as a whole as well, because yeah, and
it's not you don't get a whole lot of interviews
with them like that. So I'll listen to a long
form interview with a wrestler if it's somebody that I'm

(23:26):
interested in or curious about, like a couple of Chris
van Vleet episodes I've listened to, Like I just listened
to the episode he did.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Most recently with Ivy Nile. That was a pretty decent
good one.

Speaker 11 (23:39):
So stuff like that I'll always tune into because just
another way to to see another side of arrest of
a wrestler, see you get some insight into them and that.

Speaker 9 (23:52):
M So, it looks like we have a another Well,
we have two green shirt guys now and a yellow
shirt guy smiley face sitting in the front row.

Speaker 5 (24:04):
It's green shirt.

Speaker 11 (24:07):
We've got original green shirt guy, we got wish dot
com green shirt guy, and we got reverse flash yellow
shirt guy.

Speaker 12 (24:20):
Michel with green shirt guys and the Americanos and oh
my god, yeah.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
The Grand americanas. Yes, I'm wondering if tomorrow, well Friday,
during SmackDown, we'll get an answer Naomi, what's going on
with her? What's going on with the title where we're going,
you know, for the next pay per view.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
So maybe not tomorrow, but maybe Monday.

Speaker 11 (24:48):
If we don't get an answer tomorrow, I mean, if
we don't get an answer tomorrow on the podcast, then
I assume we'll probably have an answer by RAW on Monday.

Speaker 7 (24:56):
Yeah, it's kind of unclear I when this podcast is recorded, and.

Speaker 12 (25:02):
I mean if it's it's if if I mean they
might have recorded the podcast she went to the gym
and blew her a c l out while working out,
you know, or she might have tripped over the cat
you know who. We have no idea, or maybe she
got diagnosed with some awful illness, or we have no idea.
And it's kind of silly and maybe even A had
disrespectful to even specula.

Speaker 11 (25:24):
But it does seem oddly coincidental that she's she's last
minute pulled from RAW and they just so happened to
be guests all Stephanie's podcast. That's the idea, along with
all the speculation, and given how manipulative WWE has been
throughout this year, with everything, I mean, we can't put

(25:47):
anything that this isn't all a ploy just to draw
more attention to this podcast, which isn't really WWE affiliated.
It's just Stephanie McMahon, but she also the wife of
the content creator so or chief content officer, So we

(26:07):
can't put it past them to want to do this
just to draw more eyes to the product possibly.

Speaker 9 (26:14):
I mean also Dre we were talking about it off air,
but I just don't trust him anymore. I just don't
trust anything, you know, because one minute, I'm thinking this
poor man is out his knees injured, and you know,
I'm ready to go to bed, and then all of
a sudden, I just can't trust them.

Speaker 12 (26:40):
Point of clarification, it is on the WWE's podcast channel.

Speaker 7 (26:47):
It is affiliated with them, and it's not affiliated with
That is not exactly true.

Speaker 11 (26:56):
I mean I didn't I didn't think it was like
an official WWE podcast. But if it's on their channel,
then yeah, that would be because I mean, it has
its own YouTube channel by itself, and I don't know
that Stephanie has an official role with the company.

Speaker 5 (27:10):
So I just got to figure it was.

Speaker 12 (27:12):
But but all of the it's the Raw Recap show,
the Undertaker show, Cody show, they're all under the same
they're all under the Fanatics w W a podcast network.

Speaker 7 (27:27):
I think it's I think it might be called Fanatics
x w w E or something like that.

Speaker 11 (27:34):
Okay, so I know, I don't I know, No, that's
that's valid. I mean, there's a I guess there's a
level of affiliation there, so more fuel to the fire
that this is story something.

Speaker 5 (27:50):
Yep, this is a work.

Speaker 11 (27:53):
Story work, a real life work of real life of
real life events.

Speaker 7 (28:00):
Possibly possibly maybe that's ass.

Speaker 11 (28:06):
And oddly enough, as I got as I have the
match replaying it while we're talking about it, I didn't
even notice at first time that Naomi bit the living
ship out of uh when Rio was trying to sup
Lextra to the outside and Naomi blocked it, not by
you know, putting her foot on the rope to block
it or using power leverage. Nope, how she blocked it

(28:26):
biting a living ship out of real stone. That's a
subtle nuance that I that I appreciate. That's like character consistent.

Speaker 7 (28:39):
Yeah, she really churned up to that match. Good for her.
I I.

Speaker 12 (28:43):
Like Naomi a lot, but I was a little afraid
that she might get out signed by Rhea, and you know,
I don't.

Speaker 7 (28:50):
I think she held her own so oh yeah, I
was happy to see happy to see that she did that.

Speaker 11 (28:56):
Yeah, yeah, she was definitely not. There was no weak
link in this match at all. No so, and I've
seen some people try to expect say that, you know,
if she is. If Naomi is going to be out there,
this is terrible timing for her because she's hot right now,
She's got the best run of her career going right

(29:16):
now as the champ and all that which valid, But
that does not mean that she can't come back and
be you know, hotter than she right, because they fans
love a comeback, ands love that appreciation, especially when somebody
was doing really good and then something takes him down

(29:37):
and they come back and they're bigger than they were
before they left. You know, think back to Triple h
two thousand and one and how he came back and
calltleus other wrestles. John seen it when he came back
in the rumble after tearing.

Speaker 7 (29:51):
His pack and Tody's after he tore his pack, Right.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
Cody, when he tore his when they come back from
precedent for people go down and come back.

Speaker 7 (30:04):
Had leukemia, right was out for however long? Came back?

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (30:10):
Well yeah Roman, Yeah, when he had the leukemia and
came back. So yeah, I don't think this is the timing. Yes,
terrible because yes, she is in a hot run right now,
but by no means does that mean you know, she
can't capitalize on it when she came comes back and

(30:30):
take it to another level.

Speaker 7 (30:32):
M Yeah, but I mean, like I said, we still
we have no We have no idea. We can speculate.
I mean, there's a lot of things that certainly look
to pregnancy, right, but who knows.

Speaker 12 (30:43):
Maybe she she could have fallen down the stairs, she
could have been diagnosed with some skin condition.

Speaker 5 (30:49):
Like, we have no idea.

Speaker 7 (30:51):
We really don't.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
Yep. All we can do is wait and see.

Speaker 11 (31:01):
Moving on to match number two, twenty five years after
the first, they decide to give us another table, ladders
and chairs match, but this time double up, not three teams.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
We got six.

Speaker 11 (31:23):
Featuring the Wyatt Six defending against Andreide and Ray Phoenix,
DIY Praxium, MotorCity machine Guns, and the Street Profits. And
I'm I don't think I'm the only one who feels
this way in thinking that this was a great match

(31:46):
with a terrible finish because the wrong team won. I'm
not saying who the right team is that should have won.
I'm just saying why six should not have retained. And
I think that was reflected in the response from the
crowd when they'd won, because there was audible booze and
not that, Oh the Heels won booze because I don't

(32:10):
know that why six is ever supposed to have been
officially Heels. They're just in that gray area. The fans
definitely did not appear to be happy with the fact
that they retained these titles, and.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
I'm setting that part of the match aside.

Speaker 11 (32:27):
Yeah that the match was great and we got crazy
over the top wicked spots. Shout out to freaking Candice
Larray taking the insane spot off the ladder, through the
ladder to the outside.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
And getting a gnarly bruise for it.

Speaker 11 (32:44):
I mean, everybody was putting everybody through everything they could find,
hitting them with everything but the kitchen sink, jumping over this,
off that, through this, slammed onto this, slam through that.
I mean, they left it all. They ain't leave nothing
else in the ring. They left it all there. It

(33:05):
still just leaves a bad taste in my mouth because
the wrong team won.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
M Where you at on this one where you had
on this one way?

Speaker 9 (33:21):
Well, first of all, who do you really want to win?

Speaker 7 (33:24):
Then?

Speaker 9 (33:24):
I mean, I mean who predicted.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
Just play that off?

Speaker 7 (33:32):
Yeah, not after who.

Speaker 9 (33:34):
We predicted, but after this match, who did you feel
I don't think.

Speaker 11 (33:38):
I don't think I predicted anybody to win in our
preview episode because it was just I felt like it
was too many teams to predict.

Speaker 5 (33:46):
And remember I was the one going into this match.

Speaker 11 (33:48):
I thought it was good that was kind of down
on it because I thought it was too many teams
and that it was either going to be a great
match or a clusterfuck. And I'm happy to say that
it was not a total clusterfuck. But I mean, you
could have made an argument for arguably any of these
teams like Androdda and Ray Phoenix are about as hot
as they could be right now, have been putting on bangers.

(34:13):
There's an argument for d I Y even that they've
kind of been like the I guess you want to
say vocal leaders of the Tag division because there seem
to be the ones doing all the talking in the
backstage segments. Argument for Street Profits retaining their titles and
getting or not retaining but winning their titles back Praxium,

(34:34):
they're exciting. You know, they could have been the underdog
winners MotorCity machine Guns. They're the veterans, you know, if
you want to make them the two time champions. There
was an argument there, But what the hell is the
argument for the Y six retaining. Now we're back in
the same shit that we've been doing for the last
couple of months, all these teams fighting again just to

(34:58):
get another shot at the Y six, same scramble that
we've been doing for a while.

Speaker 9 (35:04):
Now.

Speaker 11 (35:06):
Eventually it's gonna get old and boring, and I think
in this case, it's gonna get old and boring really fast.
They gotta find some way to inject something interesting into
this tag division.

Speaker 5 (35:20):
Or something to ignite it.

Speaker 11 (35:23):
They've been doing a whole lot of work giving us
an actual competitive tag team division that we are tuning into.
But don't blow it if you just bogg the titles
down on a team that nobody wants to see hold them.
They gotta find another way to make this more dynamic
instead of just doing the same thing.

Speaker 9 (35:43):
We know, teams like Axiom were big in NXT, a
fan favorite, and they brought up to the main roster,
and like you said, Andrade and Ray Phoenix have become
quite popular. So these are fresh teams and even City
machine Guns like they were kind of fresh for me
on this roster. But yeah, I don't I don't understand

(36:07):
where the Wyatt six are They just gonna take over
the Tag Division? Is that?

Speaker 7 (36:13):
That?

Speaker 3 (36:13):
Is?

Speaker 7 (36:13):
That?

Speaker 9 (36:13):
Just there's things? That is that where their stables stay
is just the Tag Division? Because uncle, how do he
ever fucking wrestle again? You know, his Nicky Cross ever
go for a title?

Speaker 7 (36:23):
Ever?

Speaker 9 (36:23):
Again? What what's Eric Rowan doing? I kind of I
kind of agree. I think the wrong team may have
won in this match. It was absolute chaos from beginning
to end. But I I fucking thoroughly enjoyed it though,
Like just you know, off the hype of the last
match being an opener, this was a great second match.

(36:45):
There's a lot of people just standing on their feet
during this match. You know, it's it's typical. I mean,
you got the numbers game here, so you see, you know,
one wrestler do with suicide die, There's gonna be three
others to follow. Everybody went through a fucking table, right
not to mention, like every corner had a table laid out,

(37:07):
which I thought was kind of cool. But the spots
they had there, you know, you were talking about the
anniversary of the of the last TFC match. They had
Summer Slam, they had the Dudley Boys, and the Hardy
Boys in the crowd. They promoted their TNA match coming up,
So I thought that was pretty cool that TNA got

(37:28):
a little rubbed for that, you know, and we're all
you know, all ww fans are familiar with the Dudley's
and the Hardy Boys, so it's great to see them there.
Probably great for them to sit here and watch this match. Uh,
plenty plenty plenty of slim gym tables got broken, you know,

(37:50):
just everybody got to snap into a slim gym. Uh.
I did love. I did see something kind of new
andrawda Ray Phoenix did it where Andrade was standing in
the middle of the ring and Ray Phoenix jumped up
on his shoulders to try to grab the titles without
the ladder. I thought that was pretty damn impressive.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (38:12):
I guess the only thing kind of close to that
maybe is with what Chris Jericho was standing on Big
shows shoulders try to get the tag titles. But yeah,
I thought that was a pretty cool spot. Also, uh
them with Champa hanging from the belt upside down, like, man, damn,

(38:34):
that was impressive. Scary man, Like, you know, I'm just like,
as he started like, don't pass out, Man, don't let
all that blood rush your head and pass the fuck out.

Speaker 11 (38:46):
Like get passing out. I was more concerned about not
necessarily him passing.

Speaker 5 (38:50):
Out the rope, right, I'm like, how strong is that? O?

Speaker 11 (38:57):
God, that strap these belts are on in that cable,
Mike boy, I hope they really tested that beforehand. Yeah,
or that thing is rated for a weight limit that
vastly out exceeds Chopper. When you look at it, it
just looks like a flat gold So I'm like, that
man had some cheap aluminum.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
I hope that's steel.

Speaker 11 (39:18):
Yeah, but obviously it held them, and it held them easily,
So thank God for that, because.

Speaker 9 (39:27):
What a wild spot. And having you know, basically everybody
from this their you know, respected stables interfere, having the
women interfere, having Eric Rowan, basically the whole White six interfere,
and you know, that's really why the White six one
had the numbers game at the end of the day.

(39:51):
But I mean, yeah, dude, I enjoyed this match from
me and then I I guess at the beginning, I
think last episode or the productions episode, I kind of
wanted Ray and Andrada to win this. But it is
what it is.

Speaker 11 (40:09):
But you know, thinking about the numbers game, does it
make sense for the WYAT six to win the numbers
game when they're facing five other tag teams?

Speaker 9 (40:19):
Yeah? I know you would think, right, why don't.

Speaker 5 (40:25):
And other motherfuckers like they should not have the numbers advantage.

Speaker 9 (40:32):
It's wrestling matthre It's not supposed to make sense. Wrestling
math never does make sense.

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Yeah, I mean I get that good. At some point.

Speaker 11 (40:47):
You can only ask us to stretch our belief so
far speaking of I mean, I get it logically it
makes sense because they didn't come until later on match
and everybody's tired warn but it's still ten other.

Speaker 9 (41:01):
Motherfuckers speaking of a wrestling match that you guys.

Speaker 5 (41:05):
Don shout help them? Damn why and get them.

Speaker 9 (41:07):
Theers math quote the other day on Raw and goes
to elle Knight and seth rollins or not elle Knight
and Seampunk goes, what are you like forty and what
are you like forty seven? That's like one hundred years
old combined some stinder match that's pretty funny. And he

(41:28):
yelled at he was he even have the mic in
his hands. I thought he was even funnier.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
YEP props to the camera man for being right there
to catch it. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (41:39):
Uh, Doyle, what do you say of this match?

Speaker 5 (41:42):
All right?

Speaker 7 (41:42):
Now that I'm not on mute? Okay, it's okay. I
like this and everything that I'm gonna say from here
on forward, it is probably gona sound like I didn't.

Speaker 5 (41:53):
I promise I did.

Speaker 7 (41:54):
Uh. We said this was funny time yea since the
original PLC.

Speaker 12 (41:59):
Unfortunately it was four months after that phenomenal TlCu.

Speaker 7 (42:04):
What was it to go home to WrestleMania or the
week after? And that only had Yeah, that was so
much better than this.

Speaker 6 (42:13):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (42:14):
And I think it had I think it had too
many teams for one, it just had it didn't have
very much slow. It just seemed like a stunt show.
We were just going from.

Speaker 12 (42:25):
Viral viral thing or thing we want to go viral,
the thing we want to go viral, the thing we
want to go viral, with nothing connecting any of it
like that. Uh that four corner spot where like they
had somebody on each corner, you know, and somebody went
through a.

Speaker 7 (42:43):
Table, the outside table the outside. There was a ladder
set up in the ring and no one in the ring.

Speaker 12 (42:48):
Why isn't nobody going for the fucking top tend titles
while all this other ship is going on, you know,
like that some of.

Speaker 7 (42:55):
The wrestling logic was was a little laughing thought.

Speaker 12 (42:59):
Uh, when there's so many moving parts, you can always
have somebody going for the going to the belts.

Speaker 7 (43:04):
But that being said, come of the spots were great.
That that that fantas fly through the table from the
from the ring posts was crazy.

Speaker 14 (43:11):
We talked about the chomper spot was fucking crazy. The
with a great finished jumping jumping up on Johnny Soldiers
was great. But there were there there were good things
about this match. It was a lot of fun, don't
get me wrong.

Speaker 12 (43:26):
I just did it had a little more connectivity to it,
and it's just it's just hard not to compare it
to that incredible match from Sacktown a few months ago,
involved in the same teams.

Speaker 7 (43:39):
Ah, it's just there was too much going on.

Speaker 12 (43:42):
I thought thought, maybe if we had if we had
maybe had three or three one on one matches to
get to three teams to this match, maybe that's a
little more interesting.

Speaker 14 (43:54):
But yeah, I mean it was fun, don't get it wrong,
I'll know it, Uh, but I just thought it needed
it lacked connectivity.

Speaker 7 (44:03):
I guess you could say, yeah, you're.

Speaker 5 (44:10):
Right about that.

Speaker 11 (44:11):
It was more or less a glorified spot fest of
a match, albeit very entertaining, and had both those spots. Yeah,
but there was definitely some lacking and some connective tissue.
They could have maybe threaded these spots together or weaved
them together a little bit more, because, like you said,
the four corner table spot, imagine the fourth person and

(44:35):
how long you had to sit there and lay on
that table and wait for your turn to get splashed on.

Speaker 7 (44:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (44:43):
Now, luckily this match didn't have too much of Oh
I've gotten to the second round from the top of
the ladder and all of a sudden, I forget how
to climb the ladder.

Speaker 7 (44:52):
There wasn't too much of that, thankfully.

Speaker 12 (44:55):
That's like my biggest ladder match type thieve is when
guys fly up and they get to the top lay
Oh fuck, I I can't remember how to time further
than it.

Speaker 11 (45:05):
I can't reach. Yeah, I just can't reach. It's it's
right there. And if only there was more letter for
me to like really.

Speaker 12 (45:14):
But yeah, I mean definitely some of the bumps were crazy,
you know, props, the canvas, the race taking that insane bumps.
There was another there were a couple of flying fair
spots that looks pretty dangerous. Uh, who would I think
Mark Ginando had hit Gaisy?

Speaker 7 (45:33):
I want to say it was like a pretty nice
DDT through a table on the outside, So that's some
good stuff. It's just uh, it's just as a as
a it didn't flow for me.

Speaker 11 (45:46):
Thing that kind of wasn't talked about that we haven't
talked about yet before the match itself, the fact that
all six of these teams came out and I don't
think a single one of them gotta pop or barely
any reaction from the crowd.

Speaker 5 (46:06):
Because nobody knows their themes.

Speaker 11 (46:11):
Wow, they changed up Street Profits theme from something that
may not have been great but at least was known
to whatever that trashes they have now none of the
other teams that really have recognizable themes. DY had a
theme that was somewhat recognizable for a while, changed up
it sucks MotorCity machine Guns. I mean, I don't say

(46:34):
their theme is bad, but it ain't. I don't think
they're hot enough to where people have gotten behind it.
And then there's why six, which your theme doesn't really
hit like that when it's freaking high noon sunlight outside
right doesn't really hit the same.

Speaker 9 (46:52):
So yeah, I will say wrestling during the day is
vastly different. I remember there WrestleMania where we had Brea
Why versus the Undertaker and it was during the day
and I was like, oh man, this does not fit.
It just didn't work for me.

Speaker 7 (47:10):
But yeah, what is speaking a seaking entrance themes? Oh?
This is the next mast featured a new interest theme.

Speaker 5 (47:24):
It did a new entrance theme for Becky Lynch, which.

Speaker 12 (47:30):
Is the song seems fine and I'm sure it would
be a fine entrance team for someone else, But why
when you're one of the few fucking people that has
an actual recognizable theme song, why would.

Speaker 5 (47:41):
You even if? For years? Right?

Speaker 7 (47:45):
And I don't John Michaels has had that stupid fucking
song for thirty years, you.

Speaker 5 (47:50):
Know, and it did.

Speaker 11 (47:51):
It didn't matter if he was a heel oor babyface.
He was coming out to sexy boy and.

Speaker 7 (47:55):
The minute you're here, the first millisecond of it, you
know he's happy. What it is exactly like And and
he had one of my own songs, And I don't
know why the fun he would.

Speaker 9 (48:06):
Chase right, But like when whoa Right, when Shawn Megel's
music would hit though as a heel, we weren't all
seeing sexy boy out loud, like you know, the crowds
are singing now. I think it's more or less that.
So the crowds aren't favoring Becky with the scene because.

Speaker 5 (48:25):
They're still fucking boom.

Speaker 7 (48:26):
They're still yeah, they they they they sing that song. God,
that was really hard. I mean, such a heel.

Speaker 5 (48:37):
They still do his.

Speaker 7 (48:38):
Ship, you know, they sing Randy Salo when he's a heel.

Speaker 5 (48:42):
Right, Becky's been a heel with the theme she had
and came out with it.

Speaker 9 (48:47):
Well, she was the man.

Speaker 11 (48:48):
Yeah, when she was the man, when she was feuding
with Bianca, she was a heel getting booed coming out
to her theme. It's her theme, it's Becky. The people
identify it with Becky Lynch the remake the Wheel for.

Speaker 12 (49:07):
Yeah, and especially the time when so few people and
just what you said about nobody knows six Tag Games,
you don't know any of their songs, right, Like, at
a time when so few essentially women, but so few
wrestlers in general, have a recognizable theme song, it all
this sounds like the same.

Speaker 7 (49:25):
Jeath rebel garbage. Why would you?

Speaker 5 (49:29):
It's nice one that works.

Speaker 7 (49:32):
Yeah, it's just it seems like such an own goal
or a cell phone or something. Its unforced or.

Speaker 11 (49:41):
You guys aren't almost like devaluing your own star by
giving them a terrible theme.

Speaker 9 (49:48):
You guys are not fans, I can tell I can tell.

Speaker 7 (49:51):
No. It might be a fine song. I don't think
they've released it anywhere, so I don't think you listen
to it. I don't think like.

Speaker 12 (50:00):
All kinds of Apparently the lyrics have like are very
personal and like have like have like a reference to
her daughter and her father and Setz and this and
that and the other thing, which is all well and good.
It's just that you have the theme that everyone knows
the minute and you shouldn't.

Speaker 7 (50:18):
Talk with us.

Speaker 5 (50:19):
That's nice. You know what you do with that?

Speaker 11 (50:22):
Okay, we're gonna run this theme for a couple of
weeks in order to promote this album that we have
of w W E music, And then you go back
to the ship that works. You know, the rock didn't
always come out to if You Smell. There was a
couple of times. There were a few weeks where he
came out to some different ship which were which as songs,
were perfectly fine, you know for what they There was

(50:44):
the one time when the Rock had the song that
Meta Man did, which if you listen to the song,
nice song, dope song, Beth spitting beat nice. But they
did it for long enough to promote that thing, and
then we went right the fun back to if you Smell.

(51:07):
So if it's a case of that, if you have
some musical project coming out and you want to get
this thing out there to promote that, I'm okay with it.

Speaker 5 (51:15):
But this ain't what that is. This is them just
changing her theme for no logical reason whatsoever.

Speaker 7 (51:26):
Well, maybe a fine tongue, that's even an issue.

Speaker 9 (51:34):
It's just the fact that.

Speaker 5 (51:37):
Song yourself maybe okay, But that's not that. That ain't
the issue, you know what.

Speaker 9 (51:43):
This could be one of those sayings. So it doesn't stick.
Because a few months ago we had aj Styles come
with a new theme music and I fucking hated it
because I like the theme music he has now. And
then a couple of weeks went by and then all
of a sudden, he went back to his original theme
music and hasn't changed since. I don't know, Maybe you

(52:07):
guys keep your fingers crossed.

Speaker 4 (52:08):
He also had.

Speaker 12 (52:09):
He also had a fairly He also had a fairly
recognizable theme song.

Speaker 7 (52:12):
I think you know, it's if if if I got
a new sh yeah, I mean if if I don't know,
I'm trying to think of just a random person.

Speaker 12 (52:26):
If often he ever got a new theme song, I
probably wouldn't even notice, and I wouldn't care because he
didn't have an iconic theme song to begin with.

Speaker 7 (52:35):
He can only get better. But if you have it,
you might as well hang on to it.

Speaker 11 (52:40):
I think, yeah, it's not everything they don't. There's too
much tinkering. You ain't got the tinker and fuck with everything.

Speaker 7 (52:52):
M Yeah, change for change sake, because it's always right
up to right.

Speaker 5 (53:00):
Take her till you find something that works. Once you
find something that works, stick with it.

Speaker 11 (53:09):
But AnyWho, we were talking about Becky Lynch because she
faced Lyra Valkyria for the women's in a continental championship
and a match that went on for twenty five long.

Speaker 5 (53:27):
Minutes second longest.

Speaker 12 (53:30):
I mean, like I said about the Three Way, like
I said about the Three Way, it was at the
perfect amount of time, not too short, not too long,
this too.

Speaker 11 (53:36):
Long, way too long, this was the second longest match
of the night, Like, why, yeah, what about this match
from twenty five minutes?

Speaker 7 (53:56):
And I thought it was too long?

Speaker 11 (53:58):
You're right, I mean they get they we know we've
said at times time, Yes they can wrestle, Yes they
can go in the ring. Absolutely with this match just fucking.

Speaker 7 (54:09):
Dragged, especially after that car crash of a TLC match.

Speaker 9 (54:16):
Yeah, this kind of brought me down a pass. It
felt like this. Yeah, it was just too long, man.
I guess it's the end of the feud match. That's
what we're getting in here, hopefully, I mean, yeah, challenge.

Speaker 11 (54:31):
Yeah, because Becky wants a Lira can't challenge anymore. And
it wound up being Bailey costing Lira to win because
at some point during the match, while Becky was dog
walking the ship out of Lyra, h, she was about
to take her out with the crowbar, and then Becky

(54:52):
hops Becky Bailey hops the fence with that lovely red
outfit she had on.

Speaker 5 (55:00):
With them red velvet cakes in the back and uh,
and Becky gives her the crow bar and gives Bailey
a chance to say, yo, take her out.

Speaker 11 (55:12):
Meanwhile, Lyra's just laying there folded up in a chair
around her neck looking, oh man, it is Bailey gonna
take her out? Is Bailey gonna take her out? We
know damn well, Bailly ain't gonna take her out. And
Bailly does not take her out and proceeds to start
beating shit out of Becky. And then in the point
a little bit later, Becky invertly hits Lyra Bailly I

(55:36):
mean Becky, Bailey inadvertently hits Lyra. Becky hits the man handle, slam,
gets the pen, and the suffering is over and this
match finally ends.

Speaker 7 (55:49):
See very good stuff. I thought, I like see I
like to use some zip ties. That was fun until
it wasn't fun anymore. And A on way too long
and b it's the pearl hands popped out and then
she put her hands back in the zip like her.

Speaker 11 (56:09):
Her watching her put her like we can see you, yeah,
and forth is not hiding the fact that you're trying
to put your hand back in the zip tie.

Speaker 12 (56:20):
And at this day and age where they're literally showing
us how they make the show, now, uh, why isn't
somebody going switch the.

Speaker 7 (56:28):
Fucking camera angle? Like, why aren't we showing showing the
Crown show anything? Except her clearly out of the handcuffs,
you know, like, what the how hard is the tamert?

Speaker 9 (56:40):
You know, I'm personally over the whole zip tie uses.
I mean the last time master we used them with
was Jay Huso.

Speaker 11 (56:50):
If you're going to use a zip tie, fucking zip
tie somebody for real, Like, don't do this little bullshit like, oh,
we're gonna zip tie you, but they're gonna leave them
loose because then dumb ship like this happens when somebody's
hand pops out but looking like trying to put their
hand back in or sneak under the ring and come
back with magic my hands back in the zip tie.

(57:10):
Now zip time for real, and then come up with
a creative way to get him out of it. Yeah,
create the legitimate problem, then figure out the solution. Also,
I mean they had a whole toolbox at ringside, freaking
wire cutters in that bitch I'm tired, she's legitimately tired up,
and then she has to find a way to get

(57:33):
to the wirecutters. And hell, I would accept even the
referee clipping her loops over that dumb ship they just
did they pulled.

Speaker 9 (57:44):
Yeah, it's when she did they to belly. That's when
they that's when they came off. Also, we got to
see the use of a crowbar, you know, or if.

Speaker 5 (57:57):
You're gonna have Bailey get involved, lose.

Speaker 11 (58:03):
Yeah, Bailey, who Becky's asked for a while name, grabbed
the ice and snip, snip, You're free.

Speaker 7 (58:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (58:10):
This is why I hate zip ties, man. I just
think they're fucking silly and wrestling like that, and and
the use of anything in the toolbox. I've never been
like excited when they pull the toolbox out. Oh, here
we go. They're gonna get a wrench out maybe or
a screwdriver.

Speaker 5 (58:25):
To plit somebody's fucking skull open.

Speaker 9 (58:28):
Yeah that too, Like they're gonna lift up this heavy
ass Yeah, so seem punkers on lifting up that heavy
ass fucking toolbox. I'm like, no, there's plenty of other weapons.
I would have chose him under the ring, but apparently
we were using a crowbar, So now we're gonna commit murder.
Ah And by the way, crowbar beats kendo stick every time. Uh.

(58:52):
I did like the use of the chain wrapped around
her her mouth and then like around the ring post.
I thought that was pretty cool. With the foot in
the back of course, the many many Yeah, I mean
the typical uh match with her, you know, just feathers
everywhere all over the ring by the time the match

(59:13):
is over. Yes, I kind of feel like that's how
her matches go, you know, they just wrapping up this feud.
So uh, I'm glad we we don't have to revisit
this for a while.

Speaker 7 (59:29):
I I.

Speaker 9 (59:31):
Was kind of like, I don't know, man, there's a
split second. I was thinking that Bailey might have turned,
you know, her and her and Becky standing there, Like,
come on, why not just fucking turn you line yourself
with Becky? That'd be fucking cool. Ship, right, we got
Lexi and Charlotte lining together, there's a weird pairing. Why
not align Becky and Bailey as heels, right? And I

(59:54):
was like, nah, okay, let's not do it.

Speaker 5 (59:56):
Women Power Trip two women power Trip.

Speaker 7 (59:59):
Right.

Speaker 12 (01:00:00):
Something's going on with Bile after that promo Monday.

Speaker 9 (01:00:05):
Right, I mean, like when that have been pretty cool,
Like oh ship, like Bailey and Banking, like these two
women have like fought for years, and like now they're
gonna be like a heel tag team, like kind of
the opposite of what we're getting with Charlotte and Alexa, like,
you know, not the phase tag team of these two
girls who can't work together. How about two heels that
don't like each other?

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
You know?

Speaker 9 (01:00:26):
But uh no, I mean never know. But yeah, there
was a there was an opportunity, you know, he says,
just give me that goofy ass look on her fucking
half her body sticking out of that steel chair.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
I wouldn't I wouldn't have been opposed to a two
women power trip.

Speaker 11 (01:00:44):
I think, yeah, I think the women's division as a
whole needs something.

Speaker 5 (01:00:49):
It needs something to.

Speaker 11 (01:00:52):
They need like a faction, because right now it's just
a bunch of women and a cables little tag teams.
I think the Women's I don't want to say they
need a bloodline, but they need something similar. They need
something that will rally the rest for the rest of
the Women's division to rally.

Speaker 5 (01:01:08):
Against something they need.

Speaker 11 (01:01:11):
They need a central antagget antagonist for that division. I
think that could inject some some some life into it.
I'm not saying the division as lifeless as it is now,
but something like that could could really ignite the women's.

Speaker 5 (01:01:29):
Division a big time.

Speaker 11 (01:01:34):
If they had a big time women's like faction, really
not since Damage controls not since Damage Control.

Speaker 5 (01:01:41):
They never really got over. Well, I say they didn't
got over. They never dominated.

Speaker 11 (01:01:47):
Yeah, they were a women's fat, women's faction, but they
never they didn't dominate. They were constantly losing to the
bigger faces because uh, Bailey was the leader and she
could never be Bianca, who was the champion at the time,
in their primary antagonists. And then if it was a
faction thing, Bianca just grabbed all the biggest names and

(01:02:07):
then they would just whoop Damage Control. The closest thing
they came to being up there was initially when Dakota
and EO were tag champions, and then when EO got
the money in the bank and cashed in on Bianca
and became women's champion. But they were never really dominant
in terms of like lording over the women's division.

Speaker 9 (01:02:29):
Right, and then we got how we got the finish here.
You know, Bailey hitting Lyra and you know Becky hitting
her finished her on her for the pen And I
was thinking, you know, given the state of this match,
and you know, being a no disqualifications match, you think

(01:02:51):
Bailey would maybe have broken up that pin.

Speaker 11 (01:02:55):
But no, you know, yeh, no, no, needs for it
to because if she'd have broken up, did I mean
gone on even longer?

Speaker 5 (01:03:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:03:19):
What MAT's all I got for that match?

Speaker 5 (01:03:24):
Yep, nothing else.

Speaker 11 (01:03:27):
We can move on to the match number four of
the night, and that was the steel cage match for
the ww United States Championship being Solo Socoa and Jacob Fatu.

Speaker 7 (01:03:42):
Boy.

Speaker 5 (01:03:42):
It was this match of letdown. I really thought this
match was gonna go a lot harder than it did.
It was pretty much just.

Speaker 7 (01:03:54):
Help.

Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
The Kings barely served a purpose in the match, honestly.

Speaker 11 (01:03:58):
For the most of the match was just a basic
regular one on one with occasionally somebody getting thrown into
the cage. And then, in typical fashion, here comes damn ft,
here comes Jimmy Numbers, game gets to him. Solo wins,

(01:04:20):
and I hate I don't like steel cage matches where
you don't utilize the still cage. Apparently, like back in
the day, when you had a steel cage match, the
steel cage was the weapon.

Speaker 5 (01:04:34):
It was a primary weapon.

Speaker 11 (01:04:37):
A lot of people would use that offense would be
involved the cage, throwing you into a cage, slamming you
into a cage, breaking your face on the cage, all
of that. These motherfuckers were just wrestling a regular ass
damn match that just happened to be in a cage.
Every now and then somebody would get oh we threw
them in the cage. Oh god it yeah, this was

(01:05:00):
a real letdown. And then, of course Solo retains when
the tallest of Tongas comes in, kicks to both of them,
but both of them a head in the door, but
Jacob the only one that got fuxed up when he
kicked it, because Jacob's head was exposed and Solo's head

(01:05:23):
was apparently protected by Jacob's hands because he was grabbing
Solo by the head or whatever the fuck logic they
were applying to that. But and Solo just falls out
to win. And then they throw the dominions of mft
and and Tongala and the hell's out of the boy name, Well, y'all, no,

(01:05:54):
not the tallest of tongas, the other one, ah.

Speaker 5 (01:06:00):
J James Franco, whatever the hell Ja C Mittel, Ja
ja C mittel and and tongue of law. They throwed
him in there just to catch a post match beat down,
which was.

Speaker 11 (01:06:14):
Completely meaningless because you already fucking lost, So what you
just gonna vent your frustration. And then we get the
spot that should have happened during the match of him
doing the moon salt off the top of the cage.

Speaker 5 (01:06:31):
After the match, when it's old like the.

Speaker 11 (01:06:34):
Fuck match made the fucking sense and it was a letdown.
It was this match should have been way better than
what it was, Jim and Doyle where you had on
this one way.

Speaker 9 (01:06:52):
I'm not muted. I'll tell you that. Uh uh, you know,
it's cool. We got to see him Jacob adds something
to his entrance and that's he wears a werewolf mask.
It looks like I thought that was pretty cool. Intgewing
something something new to his repertoire, so it his outfit

(01:07:14):
to his gimmick. Man, I agree, I was very let
down by this match. I am slowly becoming not so
much a fan of steel cage matches anymore. I don't know.
It's just something about, you know, them just going open
the door and I'm just gonna walk out to end

(01:07:36):
the match. Just it just makes it so boring. It
just makes it so boring for me. I just feel
like at one point there was.

Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
So Now you agree with Jesse Ventura, Yeah, I'm starting to.

Speaker 9 (01:07:50):
Man, Like I liked when we had to either make
them pin or submit, or or we had to climb
over the top, over the top, and you know, like
that's how it was in the video games back then,
Like you had to climb up, over and down, and
your opponent would always be pulling you off, and these
sick moves would happen off the top of the cage
a lot, because you know, you're trying, you're trying to

(01:08:12):
get out. I don't know, it just it got more.
It was more exciting, Like the crowd got more excited
when the two wrestlers will be at the top of
the you know, the cage, fighting to get over, get
both those legs over and having both of them touched
the bottom. But now it's like open the door. It's like.

Speaker 11 (01:08:32):
I think, I think about the still cage match we
got last year between uh what was it, Tristtratison was
a Trician, Becky Lynch.

Speaker 5 (01:08:42):
They had a banger of a steel cage match last year.

Speaker 11 (01:08:45):
I think so, I'm pretty sure, Yeah, they had a
banger of a match last year.

Speaker 9 (01:08:54):
This was not that, yeah, and not not just the
rules of this steel cage, but like I mean, isn't
the whole point of the steel cage. It's like you're
locked in here with me. You're locked. The door is locked.
We used to have a chain on the door with
locked you know. I I remember one time Mark Henry

(01:09:15):
trying to break into the ring but he couldn't or
into the cage because it was locked, and he was
able to break that chain off. You know, that was
that was a cool moment. But like now they're not
even unlocked. It's just you know, just.

Speaker 5 (01:09:29):
Holding a pin.

Speaker 9 (01:09:30):
Yeah, and you can have the interference because it's a
steel cage, So like what's the fucking point, Like just
it should be locked and like nobody should be able
to get in or out and and you know, yeah,
man I the gimmick of this match is what's killing
it for me. Uh And these two just couldn't put

(01:09:53):
it on, just couldn't keep me entertainment. Like like you said,
we got the the moon saw at the end of
the match, you know, and I get why, because you
needed enough people to catch him. Probably that's probably why
that spot was saved for the end, you know. But
poor Jimmy the carriage.

Speaker 7 (01:10:13):
It's sound like they had the cage just for that spot.
If you only have the cage. If you only have
the cage for one spot, you don't need the cage.

Speaker 9 (01:10:21):
And ste zip ties. We had handcuffs, by the way,
he was able to break.

Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
That handcuff them to the top just for him to.

Speaker 7 (01:10:43):
And right, yeah, what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (01:10:48):
Yeah, and they completely missed it.

Speaker 11 (01:10:50):
I guess the point of him being up there was
for them to actually catch the moment where he breaks
the chain by just yanking it, and then they completely miss.

Speaker 7 (01:10:58):
It, missed it.

Speaker 5 (01:11:01):
He next thing you know, he's down here, Like, wait,
how the fuck did he get down?

Speaker 9 (01:11:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (01:11:05):
And I thought thee that I thought the tongue of
that slammed the cage was turning because I thought he had.

Speaker 11 (01:11:14):
Yeah, right there, he hit both of them, but one
falls backwards and the other falls out just.

Speaker 9 (01:11:21):
The way the match ends, just rolls out the ring.

Speaker 11 (01:11:25):
Just I think it would have been a better finish
if he if Solo would have got out with Jacob
still cuffed to the top, that probably would have made
for a better.

Speaker 5 (01:11:34):
Finish, way way better.

Speaker 9 (01:11:39):
No, Yeah, that's that's my opinion on that match. Man Like,
it was definitely a downer. It was not an upper
for me. I was I was let down, and again
just the more and more of these dumb ass stipulations.
You know, slight changes can be made to this match
to make it better. You know, it's the rules and

(01:12:01):
and you know, Jesse even tours kind of right. The
whole opening the fucking door and walking out just seems
dumber and dumber the more I watch it.

Speaker 11 (01:12:09):
Exactly In case we were wondering where the hell this
goes from here, apparently they're dragging Sammy into this ship
because they showed up this past Monday all wrong and
whooped his ass for no fucking reason whatsoever.

Speaker 9 (01:12:24):
Talking about being confused as ship. He's getting asked with,
I'm like, what's going on here?

Speaker 5 (01:12:28):
What did he do?

Speaker 9 (01:12:30):
Why? Why is this happening? Yeah, they stop, He's already dead.

Speaker 5 (01:12:36):
Tweets something to like or something like what the fuck him?

Speaker 9 (01:12:40):
And car cross Man, Sammy's just spending his Monday night
rolls getting his ass beat. If it's not kring Cross I'm.

Speaker 11 (01:12:49):
Never Sammy's ain't ass whooping, But that one just made
no sense in que back to oh Man like his
ass and in front of his people.

Speaker 9 (01:13:02):
Yeah, just like I can just hear like you know,
the writers just like throwing that idea by standing. It's like, listen,
you're gonna have you win every one of your feuds.
You're gonna go to the pay per view and you're
gonna win the match, but every interaction in between that
you're gonna get your ass whoofed like bad, like real bad.

Speaker 11 (01:13:24):
But you get to win the feud, win the match,
wearing ass whooping in between.

Speaker 5 (01:13:30):
Yeah. Yeah, So, I don't know.

Speaker 11 (01:13:35):
It was just weird to me, like he's having his
match and then of all people to show up and
just start whooping his ass fu in the NFT out
of nowhere.

Speaker 5 (01:13:48):
E mean, I.

Speaker 11 (01:13:48):
Imagine I was surprised they didn't have him backstage, like
freaking Kathy Kelly or somebody trying to interview him backtats
like Sammy, are you okay?

Speaker 5 (01:13:58):
And he just grabs Mike the what's that about?

Speaker 9 (01:14:04):
What the fuck? Solo? Like the bloodline again?

Speaker 7 (01:14:08):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (01:14:10):
Is this about war Games? Still? That was years ago?
Let it go, Let it go, man, jeez, acknowledge you damn.

Speaker 5 (01:14:23):
Damn you got any other thoughts on this match of Doyle?

Speaker 12 (01:14:30):
No, I mean, it's it's never good when the when
the the highlight of the match happens after the match.

Speaker 7 (01:14:35):
That's rarely a good time.

Speaker 5 (01:14:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:14:41):
Oh well, but you know what if if Sammy gets
dragged into this beef with the NFT to keep Jay
out of his or Ja can stay in the title picture,
then I'm okay with it.

Speaker 5 (01:14:54):
That'll be my final thought on this.

Speaker 11 (01:14:58):
So moving on to next match, Dominic Mysterio defending the
Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles. Now, whereas the last match
was a surprising disappointment, this match was a surprising pleaser
in the fact that one dope match, good match, AJ

(01:15:22):
and Dom worked really well together, but also surprisingly pleasing
in the fact that Dominic Mysterio won clean.

Speaker 5 (01:15:34):
Yeah, no judgment, day no nothing.

Speaker 10 (01:15:38):
Pulled a little bit of Eddie Guerrero out of his bag. Well, okay,
a lot of in this match. A lot of Eddie,
I mean the whole match, Yes, was a whole.

Speaker 5 (01:15:50):
Yeah, a whole lot of.

Speaker 11 (01:15:51):
Eddie in the match, from from AJ Styles his entrance
with the low Rider to basically a colone of AJ
I mean of Eddie tights from the SummerSlam, the custody
of Dom match, the spot, Yeah if he did the
shoe spot that he pulled off WrestleMania against Kurt Angle.

Speaker 7 (01:16:10):
Yeah that's from the chair spot.

Speaker 5 (01:16:12):
Yeah, a lot of homages to Eddie.

Speaker 11 (01:16:15):
But nevertheless, Dom still retained and picked up a quote
unquote clean win.

Speaker 5 (01:16:21):
And that surprised me.

Speaker 11 (01:16:22):
And I like it because he needed a good, clean
wind to you know, legitimize himself even further.

Speaker 12 (01:16:36):
I think we're looking at dormy two belts because I
think he's getting ready to win.

Speaker 7 (01:16:40):
The Triple A Belts. Also, I guess I guess that's
uh that Saturday, Yeah, yeah, next Saturday.

Speaker 9 (01:16:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:16:50):
Well, I wasn't surprised that this was a good match.
I was surprised that it was kind of an Eddie
Eddie Guerrero tribute, which is fine. Uh.

Speaker 12 (01:17:00):
I think it was a little heavy handed. Uh it
could they could have turned that down a little bit.
Uh and I just think it would have made the
spots they did do a little more effective.

Speaker 7 (01:17:10):
Uh. But yeah, it was fun. It was definitely fun.

Speaker 4 (01:17:15):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (01:17:16):
You know, I love to see the the you know,
the he hit me with the chair, No, he hit
me with the chair. You know that that's fun. But
like I said, just just maybe we didn't need the
low rider for aging. I mean that kind of didn't
make any sense.

Speaker 12 (01:17:31):
Uh, you know, maybe we could have We could have
I could have done without one or two of the
spots or one of the one or two or the
things just in the in the the theory that it
makes the other things shine a little brighter. But yeah,
definitely a fun match. Again, not too long, not too short.
So if anything, we could have maybe borrowed a few

(01:17:54):
minutes from Lion in fact for this one. Uh that
we should have been okay, But yeah, fun notice for sure,
and Don just continues to improve, you know, like I
remember the first time, first couple of times I saw Donald,
I said, what the fuck is this kid doing on TV?

Speaker 5 (01:18:13):
He has no business being on TV.

Speaker 7 (01:18:15):
He's green as gray at thinks he looks like a dork.
But man, is this kid. This kid's a joy to watch,
you know, it's really fun watching him improve. It seems
like every week.

Speaker 12 (01:18:29):
And god damn, nobody's got that fucking stink heel character
he does right now, So good for him.

Speaker 11 (01:18:39):
Yeah, I definitely agree with all that. Dom oh Man,
twenty's twenty six could be his year. He could really
see it. I'm not saying he's I am saying he's
gonna win the Rumble in twenty's twenty six and nothing
like that. But I can see him. I see money

(01:19:00):
in the bank in this in this future.

Speaker 7 (01:19:02):
Yeah, he's got my world title in the next couple
of years.

Speaker 9 (01:19:06):
Oh for sure. He's like destined for it. He was,
he was born into this industry. I mean, the kid's
been working with the company since he's what like eleven. Dude,
I was.

Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
I was suppressed by this mash Man.

Speaker 9 (01:19:23):
Yeah, I mean it was such an uplifting match after
the disappointing one I had before this. You know, I
I agree with Doyle, it should have gotten a little
bit more time. I mean they had a little over
ten minutes. Uh, but I was entertained. And who penciled
in Dom winning clean? Because not I not I, But

(01:19:45):
I was impressed as hell, Like okay, like Dom can
you know, hold his own. He doesn't need judgment day
or you know, three Grand Americanos to save him every
every match, you know, every time he has to defend
his title, and you know, come on, it's against aj styles,

(01:20:06):
that's just nobody to uh, you know, the sweep under
the rug. You know, as agent, he's a former heavyweight,
multiple heavyweight champion, you know, former Intercongolal Champion, United States Champion, Like,
you know, I I definitely think the rub was good
for him for this match, you know. And I hope,
I kind of hope the feud's not over with these two.

(01:20:27):
I want to see it. I want to see what
else they can do. Uh, I don't think it is.

Speaker 7 (01:20:32):
Yeah, A j creeping was fun the last past couple
of weeks.

Speaker 9 (01:20:37):
Yeah, yeah, I enjoyed it. I know a lot of
people were like, are you serious you flew him all
the way out here just to dress up like a
janitor or something like, yeah, dude, Like he just made
it funny. Yeah, just like every week he was just like,
you know, stalking Dom, even though Dom's like, you know,
I have a doctor's note, Like all the time. I
just thought that shit was funny, you know.

Speaker 11 (01:20:58):
I apparently was used to cover up a legitimate injury
that Dom had. Apparently he dislocated, Yeah, two of his
lower ribs.

Speaker 5 (01:21:06):
How to fuck do you a rib?

Speaker 9 (01:21:08):
But yeah, And I always liked to creative find.

Speaker 11 (01:21:12):
That was a nice, fun, creative use of storytelling in
spite of an injury.

Speaker 9 (01:21:19):
Yeah, And and it's very rare that they do that,
you know. And I love that they they do that
to buy time and you know, to keep that that
wrestler relevant and on TV. You know, I remember like
early you know, I don't know, two thousand and two,
when Randy Orton had his shoulder injury, and to keep
him relevant, they had the Randy Report like every week,

(01:21:42):
So every week you get like like a few minutes
and him to sort of promo about his like shoulder
health and everything. And he's a snobby about it, but uh,
it kept it kept him relevant, you know, Uh while
he was out of the ring. I think who who
else did that? Recently?

Speaker 4 (01:22:00):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (01:22:00):
Was it the Miz had an injury and he like
came in a wheelchair or something like that for a
while and work worth the injury just didn't wrestle. Yeah,
I respect Uh anyway, and Doyle, would you say that

(01:22:22):
he might be picking up another title possibly soon at
Triple Mania? Is that correct? I think I think they're
gonna do it, man, I'd be awesome. I mean, I
we did not think that they would let a w
W wrestler win and bring over the TNA title, but
they fucking did it. So now I believe anything spontis Yeah,

(01:22:44):
and now that they own Triple A. It's very possible.

Speaker 5 (01:22:47):
Yeah, dom dos spelts, and like I said before, it.

Speaker 11 (01:22:54):
Sets up a very interesting dynamic because he is over
as fuck in Triple A.

Speaker 5 (01:23:00):
He's not not as a heel.

Speaker 11 (01:23:02):
He's over his fucking babyface and Triple A. So it
creates a very interesting dynamic. If you have Dominic Mysterio
the heel Intercontinental Champion and Dominic Mysterio the babyface Triple
A World Champion. That creates a very interesting dynamic that
they could tell on TV of him trying to balance

(01:23:25):
the two personas that he would have to portray.

Speaker 5 (01:23:29):
Or that exists within him and.

Speaker 11 (01:23:34):
Right, and it would be a good way of how
you can transition him into being a babyface on the
main WWE roster. Like somebody tries to, you know, downplay
the Triple A title or you know, that's.

Speaker 5 (01:23:48):
Like I mean, or you know, like the Intercontinental chain,
that's the real belt.

Speaker 11 (01:23:52):
Anybody worry about that little toy belt, and then he
gets offended by it, like, now, don't disrespect this belt,
you know what I mean? Like to me, I hope
they go down that route because I want to see
that dynamic and I want to see that that storytelling
play out.

Speaker 9 (01:24:07):
I did. Like I was just saying, I like how
we also got the We mentioned the chair spot where
they fake that they get hit with the chair, and
AG kind of turned that on him and put that
he wore the chair so he got hit. I mean, dude,
like twenty years later and that joke is still it's

(01:24:29):
still funny every time I see it, especially when a
wrestler does get away with it. You know, like, it's
just it's just funny, it's clever. H It's it's just
I don't know, you can use it anytime. I'm still
gonna like it. Go ahead, Doyle.

Speaker 7 (01:24:43):
Oh, I was just gonna say it might be back
to the Triple A title. It might be a fun
way to put it on ray.

Speaker 12 (01:24:48):
Because he's I don't believe it's ever held it, But
that kind of throws getting him over as a babyface
theory out the window.

Speaker 11 (01:25:01):
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure at some point they might
put that side along rageous, just because.

Speaker 9 (01:25:11):
Yeah, that'll be interesting.

Speaker 11 (01:25:15):
Any other thoughts on this match or or AJ's future
moving forward.

Speaker 9 (01:25:23):
I don't think the feud's over. I don't think we're
done yet.

Speaker 5 (01:25:30):
I could be either way on it.

Speaker 11 (01:25:33):
I mean, I would not be opposed to this feud continuing,
but with Dom getting a clean wind, I don't see
much reason for it to continue either.

Speaker 5 (01:25:42):
So I'm good. I'm good either way.

Speaker 7 (01:25:46):
I feel like a lot of U between the Triple
A stuff and the Jumpman Day drama and this AJ feud.

Speaker 12 (01:25:58):
Yeah, something probably, you know, probably one of the one
of the stories probably is time to wrap it up.

Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
And it seems like the Triple anything is just starting.
So I'm talking to read that I'm not going to
be the Judging Day stuff because that's been going on
since time began. That It's like, right, so then something's
gonna be get We'll see what happened.

Speaker 11 (01:26:22):
Yeah, all right, we're ready to talk about this Match
of the Year candidate main event, so for Cody Rhodes
versus John Cena for the WWE Championship, a match that

(01:26:44):
went on for thirty seven damn near thirty eight minutes
and was a absolute banger of a match. This was
a this is the type of main event that you're
supposed to get. This, this is the match we should

(01:27:05):
have gotten at WrestleMania. They damn show made up for.

Speaker 5 (01:27:08):
It in this one.

Speaker 11 (01:27:09):
This was a main event all caps in every sense
of the word that you're supposed to get, so I'm
glad that they gave us that. But Cody Roads won
defeated John Cena to become a now two times WWE champion,

(01:27:31):
which apparently they have now finally dropped the undisputed from it.
I think I've seen some people towing like some screenshots
or whatever where I guess on ww's website it just
says WWE Champion and not undisputed anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:27:47):
I don't know, let me look that up real quick.

Speaker 11 (01:27:48):
But but while I seeking on that, I said the
match lived up to the hype that we had from
WrestleMania what we should have gotten. Okay, I'm wrong. Nope,
WW website still says undisputed w W Champion. They really

(01:28:10):
need to drop that. Stupid as shit.

Speaker 12 (01:28:13):
H Well, Hayman said. Hayman referred to Seth's bout as
undisputed this week. First of all, none of them are disputed,
but they certainly can't both be undispirited.

Speaker 5 (01:28:27):
Right like, just just say w W Champion and World
Heavyweight Champion.

Speaker 7 (01:28:33):
That's how I always was in the in the.

Speaker 11 (01:28:37):
Era, right exactly. Yeah, yeah, one was w W champion.
That one was the world heavyweight champion period. No need
to overthink it.

Speaker 5 (01:28:50):
But AnyWho match ends, Cody's is won.

Speaker 11 (01:28:56):
He walks off, Johnson is getting his flowers, getting the
adulation of the crowd.

Speaker 5 (01:29:04):
Good show, everything's over.

Speaker 9 (01:29:08):
And then oh, I could play it for you if
you like, sir, but you could have just hit the music.
Oh wait, not that one. Sorry, that was night one.
How can we ever raise the excitement higher than Night one?

Speaker 1 (01:29:27):
Oh wait, waities, that gentleman enjoyed us while you can't.
We have four months left to enjoy the greatness that
is John Cena.

Speaker 5 (01:29:54):
Sha. Yeah, so let's not kid ourselves.

Speaker 11 (01:30:05):
Well, yeah, Brocklesner returned, and let's not kid ourselves. That
shit shocked every fucking body. Yeah, And in that regard,
it worked it because there was not a single rumor

(01:30:25):
anywhere about his return. Now, maybe in retrospect again, twenty
hindsight being twenty twenty, maybe we should have seen something
because there was virtually no talk about Brocklester whatsoever. And
then suddenly the week of SummerSlam, you got Daniel Cormier
talking out there talking about Brocklester's been blacklisted by TKO

(01:30:48):
and he's never going to return. Why the fuck are
you talking about Brocklesser out of nowhere all of a sudden,
So again hindsight twenty twenty. But in that moment, my
fuck jaw hit the floor, as did everybody else is
in that arena, and all that shock the shit at everybody.

(01:31:09):
Now after that, we'll see, but the moment did what
the mama was supposed to do. The match itself was
fucking phenomenal, you know. Dave Meltzer gave it a five
star for whatever that's worth nowadays. But I had no
complaints about this match.

Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
It was.

Speaker 11 (01:31:30):
It was at a point where, and it doesn't happen
too often, where I genuinely did not know who the
fuck was gonna win this match. It reached that point
after all the finishes and the potential, I mean countless
as AA's off the freaking top rope Cody Cuttings Crossroads, Huh.

Speaker 7 (01:31:52):
I think it was an eight.

Speaker 5 (01:31:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:31:56):
The finisher after finisher after finisher after spot after spot
after and they just kept kicking the fuck out. This
was definitely, this is the best match Scene has had
all year. This was seeing it definitely turned back the
clock on this shit. I mean, we even had Cody

(01:32:17):
doing helish tactics by taking off the freaking bottom rope
and laying seeing.

Speaker 5 (01:32:22):
It out with it. That shit didn't want enough to
get a three. It was like goddamn.

Speaker 7 (01:32:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:32:30):
So yeah, this match Chef's kiss five stars. Like I said,
match of the Year candidate. Definitely were you had on
this one?

Speaker 5 (01:32:42):
Wayne?

Speaker 9 (01:32:44):
Yeah, I agree, man, Like definitely one of Johnson's best
matches since he's been back. Thirty or thirty seven minutes
and forty five seconds. Totally shit. I mean I got
the night prior, we got the punk Gunter Matchress about
thirty minutes long, so letting these guys really fucking cook.

(01:33:07):
But I mean the entrances were great. We had Cody
Rhodes had this really unique another unique mass that he
came out with. But really got me was the Johnson entrance.
You know, they got the black and white background and
you know, because this is he literally turned face the
day prior, you know, two days or two days prior,

(01:33:28):
so you know, what's he gonna come out with just
the that's what he's had us accustomed to right now,
just this black and white John Cena, you know background,
and they got us there you know, they they have
it and then all of a sudden, all the lights
come on, all the different colors, and the crowd just
fucking pops for it. Man, Like, I think this is

(01:33:49):
where I'm going to start really enjoying his retirement because
he's having fun now like he's having I mean, we
know he's been having fun, you know, running it back
with or and running it back Honkin, you know, other
guys that he's wrestled with before, you know, running it
back again with Cody. But this is this was the
what a lot of people are saying the passing of

(01:34:11):
the torch. You know, a lot of people believe WrestleMania
eighteen was the passing of the torch when when Hogan,
you know, got defeated by the Rock and then you know,
then we had the passing of the torch of Rock
and Sena and now this is the passing of the

(01:34:32):
torch from Sena to Cody. This match had everything, man,
it was fantastic. It had all the finishers, and I agree, man, like,
there there was there was times where I just I
was like, oh my god, like I can't believe it.
Like I was like, you know, that's it. There's no way,
he's done, he's cooked, you know, man kicks out. We

(01:34:55):
even had the unique uh John Cena me up out
of the stage with Cody Roads on his shoulders, going
getting ready for the AA just to look on his face.
He couldn't even contain it. He wanted to smile.

Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
So that.

Speaker 9 (01:35:10):
Spot, you know, we had, we had pile drivers, we
had Cody cutters, crossroads, you know as everywhere, we had
broken tables and now tables were broken. And finally, you know,
the crowd one nuts for for you know, he Cody
put like had to put two crossroads on him to

(01:35:32):
put him away, you know, and then then he did
our Cody cutter through the table like it was.

Speaker 7 (01:35:42):
It was.

Speaker 9 (01:35:42):
It was insane all the spots.

Speaker 5 (01:35:44):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (01:35:46):
And to talk light on I guess well after we're
done when we'll talk more on Brockleisner. But uh, Doyle,
what do you.

Speaker 7 (01:35:53):
Think the event? I did? Like this, but it's probably
gonna sound like I didn't.

Speaker 12 (01:36:06):
I could have done without so many spam finishers and
so many takeouts, and it just seemed like.

Speaker 7 (01:36:13):
A bit much to me.

Speaker 12 (01:36:15):
Was it being in the WrestleMania match, Yes, but that
match is also fucking horrible, So it wasn't that hard
to beat.

Speaker 7 (01:36:24):
I think Sena is definitely I think it's real for
him now, does that make sense?

Speaker 12 (01:36:31):
And I think going forward the rest of his matches,
he was going to be progressively better and better and
more fun.

Speaker 7 (01:36:38):
And I think he shook off some of the ring rust.

Speaker 12 (01:36:43):
And be I don't think he's as worried about surviving
the year maybe as he was in February.

Speaker 7 (01:36:51):
So I think he can.

Speaker 12 (01:36:52):
Frankly let it hang out a little bit more, you know,
because there's not only probably only four or five matches left, right,
so it's kind.

Speaker 7 (01:37:00):
Of like a leave it all out of the field
kind of thing for him, hopefully, Let's listen.

Speaker 12 (01:37:06):
I mean, the story just made no fucking The hem
turn was awful. The back to the face turn was
pretty awful.

Speaker 7 (01:37:13):
Like I I guess, if anything.

Speaker 12 (01:37:16):
They saw that it wasn't working and they just said,
fuck it, let's just have fun with him for the
rest of the time we have him for But I
guess if anything into trying to come up with some
contrived ass thing, they just said, oh on the baby face,
now everybody loves me again, you know, I guess, instead
of wasting more time trying to come up with some

(01:37:37):
convoluted When I said I sold this, I sold in
the rock.

Speaker 7 (01:37:41):
I didn't, you know, bring it him back and.

Speaker 12 (01:37:43):
Trying to red col all this ship. I'm good they
didn't go that route. I thought that I thought the
women's triple threat matches. So I don't know if this
is my match of the year, but definitely, definitely. I
think somebody said the best matching has had to be back.

Speaker 7 (01:38:02):
Absolutely no one. One of the better Accony matches in
a while. So I know, I know I liked it,
but I love like you guys did, but I didn't
like it very very much. That's for brock We'll get
into I guess should we just start.

Speaker 9 (01:38:23):
Yeah, let's get right into it, man, and like come on,
like we nobody expected brock Lesson to return, like there
was there was like dras reports on other you know services.
I was just saying, like, you know, he's just not
coming back. He's done. He's he's happy with not never
wrestling ever again. You know, he has the money he needs.

(01:38:43):
We've seen him take public photos of him with his
family like he's out doing things.

Speaker 7 (01:38:50):
Because he didn't want to right exactly.

Speaker 9 (01:38:53):
We know that we know they originally had others.

Speaker 7 (01:38:57):
He was, yeah, exactly, Yeah, well, I mean he well,
there's the thing.

Speaker 12 (01:39:03):
It kind of gets what I was saying earlier about
like shock for shock's sake, which is what this.

Speaker 7 (01:39:07):
Seems like, because he's still involved. I mean, granted, he's
not a defendant and he has not.

Speaker 12 (01:39:14):
Been proven that he did anything untoward in the court
of law Shore, but he is named in.

Speaker 7 (01:39:20):
This ongoing lawsuit against vinsic Man. If you read through
some of those documents.

Speaker 12 (01:39:26):
Like it doesn't sound like he ever actually met up
with this woman, but he did send her horrible text
messages and did request and receive weird videos from her,
and it's and moreover.

Speaker 7 (01:39:40):
It's it's and it's just it's w W. There's the
whole company's association with these sex pests that just never
goes away. You know, you have Vince obviously, who has
two cases against him. Linda is involved in one of
those cases. But then you had Triple A two also
just that very week, the same week that brought back the.

Speaker 15 (01:40:00):
Guy who's incredible accusations of sexual assault is standing up
with the president who is incredibly charged with sexual assault,
next to Bobby Kennedy, who is incredibly germaned of sexual assault.

Speaker 12 (01:40:14):
Uh, you know, and with Lawrence Taylor who's on the
fucking sex Offender Registry, And every.

Speaker 7 (01:40:19):
Time the show ends, you see Lee Fitting who used
to work in ESPN.

Speaker 12 (01:40:22):
Why doesn't they work in ESPN anymore because he gone
charge of sexual assault.

Speaker 7 (01:40:25):
It's just like, what the fuck can we just say
we don't want anything to do with these people. At
a certain point, Practice been the highest paid performer.

Speaker 12 (01:40:35):
And he's still been under contract this whole time. He
makes more money than anybody else. To not do anything
for the past two years, I think it is that
he hasn't been on TV, and it's just like, when
can we just stop fucking employing these fucking people. You know,
if he gets generated and they're saying he never did
any nothing, had nothing to do with anything, fine, But

(01:40:57):
until that happens, I don't want to hear from.

Speaker 11 (01:41:03):
Yeah, very valid, very valid, granted, supposedly WWE legal cleared
him quote unquote whatever the hell that means.

Speaker 5 (01:41:12):
And even if they cleared him of any.

Speaker 11 (01:41:16):
Legal liability by whatever standard or metric they use, that
still doesn't clear him morally or clear him in the
public eye. And I think that's been seen in how
it's as shocking as the moment was and as viral
as the moment was.

Speaker 5 (01:41:35):
Since then, reaction to his return has been very mixed.

Speaker 7 (01:41:39):
Yeah, I mean they canceled. They canceled after the prince conference,
after the town because.

Speaker 11 (01:41:45):
They knew, good damn well, they wasn't trying to hear
them questions, right exactly. Yeah, like triple ah ain't wont
none of that smoke from people because they because probably
because they learned their fucking lesson from events ship.

Speaker 16 (01:42:02):
Right, it feels like like, like I said, maybe he
didn't do anything, and maybe that will be proven, but
maybe he did do something, and maybe it's a lot
worse than we think, and maybe all that will come
out in the in this lawsuit, and if they brought
him back, they're gonna look even worse.

Speaker 5 (01:42:19):
Yeah, Like imagine that they're gonna look horrible.

Speaker 11 (01:42:24):
Yeah, Like imagine he has an upcoming major match at
a p l E or something like that, and there's
some new information comes out and that's a lawsuit that's
horribly you know, indicting on Lesner.

Speaker 5 (01:42:39):
That's gonna be a hell of a bad look for them.

Speaker 7 (01:42:42):
I mean, the ship that's in the court documents. Maybe
isn't criminal, but it's not a thing that nice people,
you know.

Speaker 11 (01:42:48):
Yeah, it's definitely reprehensible. I mean, correct about that.

Speaker 9 (01:42:57):
Do you hear that they uh, they brought Brock back
to face Sina for his last match. It's gonna be
on the same night.

Speaker 12 (01:43:08):
As Yeah, Triple H is saying uh oh, Christina wanted
them to come back, and then seeing it comes out
and says I never said that.

Speaker 7 (01:43:20):
I have no control over that.

Speaker 12 (01:43:23):
And we want to cry, we want to cross, and
Triple You're there saying we want to Brook, we want to.

Speaker 5 (01:43:31):
Broke, you want you got him? Not what we said.

Speaker 12 (01:43:35):
Yeah, I don't think it's the last match, because that's
that's that's not in December.

Speaker 7 (01:43:43):
I think seeing this last matches like the end of December, right.

Speaker 12 (01:43:46):
Yeah, still show that they're putting up against a w
isn't that right?

Speaker 7 (01:43:54):
That's when when Lesnar and Senior are supposed to face
the shooting for But that's that's not supposed to be
his last night.

Speaker 12 (01:44:03):
Discussion who should get seen his last match is an
interesting discussion to have, maybe not.

Speaker 7 (01:44:07):
Right the second.

Speaker 5 (01:44:10):
Yeah, my early vote would be Drew McIntire, great choice.

Speaker 7 (01:44:19):
I mean, I think it needs to be somebody that
can use the rob and isn't gonna.

Speaker 11 (01:44:26):
Waste it, you know, like, Yeah, the first thing you
have to decide is is John gonna lose or win
his last match?

Speaker 5 (01:44:34):
Well?

Speaker 11 (01:44:34):
Yeah, is he going to have his last match to
go out on top with a win and the celebration
or is he going to use his last match to
do what the old wrestlers did and go out on
his back and give the rub to somebody else? Depending
on that decision, I think that determines who you go
for for his last opponent.

Speaker 5 (01:44:53):
If he's going to go out on his bag, I
don't think it should be Bro.

Speaker 7 (01:44:58):
Yeah, I think yeah, the Undertaker straight, I think that's
enough for him.

Speaker 5 (01:45:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:45:03):
I think if he's gonna if he's gonna go out
on his back, then I would vote Drew as his
last dependent. Yeah, because I think Drew should win if
he's gonna.

Speaker 7 (01:45:13):
Go actually capitalized right, if he's.

Speaker 5 (01:45:17):
Gonna go out on a win. H Fuck.

Speaker 11 (01:45:22):
I don't know, because I feel like it needs to
be a worthwhile name. But oh, you already pulled the
Rady card already, You've pulled to see him punk card already.
I don't know who that you haven't facing the final
match to go over with. Maybe I'll say, maybe be.

Speaker 9 (01:45:47):
A good one. Yeah, I kind of like that idea,
him being the one to put him away.

Speaker 5 (01:45:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (01:45:57):
Maybe maybe maybe a gunster could be a good candidate
a final opponent if he's gonna go out that way,
or maybe he just has a match just for the
fuck of it, Like it doesn't need a storyline, doesn't
need a heel. It's just like you, you like, he
picks some young guy, you know, like you give me

(01:46:17):
what you got, you're my last opponent, and he just
goes out there, just.

Speaker 5 (01:46:21):
Has a banger of a fucking match with somebody.

Speaker 11 (01:46:26):
Exactly who I was thinking, Yeah, like a Carmelo Hayes
or somebody, and he just gets the rub. And maybe
seeing against somebody that'd be a hell of Oh it
would be major. I don't be surprised if they did
an NXT call up for Sena's final match.

Speaker 5 (01:46:41):
That'd be bold as hell.

Speaker 11 (01:46:44):
I could see like a mellow somebody that could put
on a hell of a match with Sina and win
or lose, come out looking great just from getting the rub.

Speaker 5 (01:46:53):
That could be a good a good idea.

Speaker 9 (01:46:56):
Mm hmm. Yeah, I mean I'm really intrigued to see
where this goes with Rock. How long are they going
to drag this feud out? Is that if this is
the last few like I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:47:08):
Know, but.

Speaker 7 (01:47:11):
Then yeah, for Slackdown, it's like a month a month
the next cup.

Speaker 12 (01:47:22):
Like it kind of seems silly also, Yeah, and it
just seems like we're doing a shock for the sake
of doing a shock without even thinking about what comes next.

Speaker 7 (01:47:32):
You know.

Speaker 11 (01:47:34):
Yeah, because you've got two basic part timers, you know,
seeing as part timing now because he's got limited dates,
Lesner been fucking part timing since twenty twelve or whatever.

Speaker 5 (01:47:48):
So how do you build up this match?

Speaker 7 (01:47:52):
Yeah, I mean remember one thing it was I said like, oh,
you know, grab a mic.

Speaker 12 (01:47:56):
And I'm coming back for you sometime, or you know,
like we're just getting nothing for a month to two
just doesn't didn't think much of it.

Speaker 7 (01:48:07):
Everything's gonna be.

Speaker 5 (01:48:07):
Talking about it, okay, right, we'll figure out the rest later.

Speaker 7 (01:48:15):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 9 (01:48:18):
Yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 11 (01:48:21):
Also sidebar side what I said, bar, but just getting
back to the match himself, John Cena yeating them goddamn
chairs and Cody Rhodes. I laughed my fucking ass off
when he threw them because he threw the ship as
hard as funk and I thought he I thought Cody
legitimately fucked up his arm, right, Oh, this.

Speaker 12 (01:48:42):
Man, this match should made me laugh out loud a
couple of times, like in a good way.

Speaker 11 (01:48:49):
Very I just wanted to bring up that moment because
that was one of the most where I audibly said
damn when it happened.

Speaker 9 (01:48:57):
I'm wanting to bring up any of you guys finished
ww unreal.

Speaker 5 (01:49:03):
I still have not gone back and watched the last
episode yet.

Speaker 9 (01:49:06):
No, Okay, well, it's nice to slow burn. I mean,
like because you know there's gonna be another season.

Speaker 5 (01:49:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:49:13):
They already said they're bringing more episodes next year, which
my guess is probably going to cover WrestleMania to Summer Slam,
if I had to venture a guess, or maybe the
maybe leading the build up to Summer Slam, and then
it'll probably be Summer Slam into the Fall. But it's
definitely gonna cover at least part of Summer Slam, right

(01:49:34):
or the build up.

Speaker 12 (01:49:36):
Yeah, and you gotta figure they're gonna be building some
kind of only focusing on John Cen that kind of thing.

Speaker 7 (01:49:43):
Oh yeah, last here in the last couple of months.

Speaker 9 (01:49:50):
Doctor.

Speaker 5 (01:49:50):
Definitely one episode.

Speaker 11 (01:49:52):
Yeah, yeah, I could because that definitely see either one
episode of Unreal Being just John Cena or Johnson to getting.

Speaker 5 (01:50:00):
His own documentary.

Speaker 11 (01:50:02):
Yeah, like his own documentary like john you know, Johnson
to The Final Time is Now or whatever a Netflix
docuseries or something.

Speaker 5 (01:50:09):
I could definitely see that happening.

Speaker 7 (01:50:13):
Yeah, I watched some of it. It's pretty interesting.

Speaker 12 (01:50:16):
I questioned how authentic some of it is, But then again,
I think anything to see on the promise show just
to stare as the work, even if they're telling me
explicitly it is not.

Speaker 7 (01:50:27):
You know, some of those writing room scenes I think
are kind of are kind of put together or for
the cameras, right.

Speaker 5 (01:50:37):
That's it exactly.

Speaker 11 (01:50:38):
Yeah, it's some most where it definitely feels like they
know the cameras right there. Yeah, like you're not really
catching an authentic moment like you think you are. It's like,
here's the framing, all right, you stand here, you stand here,
and y'all talk about such and such and go.

Speaker 12 (01:50:53):
That's something like you know, some of them, it is
certainly authentic, I think, you know, Chelsea Green giving us
a tour of her closet.

Speaker 7 (01:51:00):
I think it's you know, I and that something's fun.

Speaker 11 (01:51:05):
Yeah, yeah, stuff like that is fun, but it's not
really unreal quote unquote.

Speaker 5 (01:51:10):
It's just more of like a typical highlight.

Speaker 4 (01:51:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (01:51:13):
And even like some of the some of the the
influencer kids that got the ship knocked out of him
at the Royal Rumble.

Speaker 7 (01:51:22):
They almost play that like it was legitimate, and it's
just like, obviously this is not you know.

Speaker 5 (01:51:31):
Yeah, they will be played it off.

Speaker 7 (01:51:33):
Like it was like it was a surprise or something
behind the scenes.

Speaker 11 (01:51:37):
You get of that is maybe Triple Ah when he's
talking to st saying all right, y'all go to talk
right here, like you know, setting up like the shot.

Speaker 5 (01:51:44):
Yeah, like that's behind the scenes, yes, but it's about it.

Speaker 1 (01:51:49):
H m hm.

Speaker 12 (01:51:51):
I questioned some of the the reality of this reality show,
but it's fun.

Speaker 7 (01:51:56):
Nonetheless, I like more than I thought I would.

Speaker 5 (01:52:04):
Yeah, I'm pretty much of the same mindset.

Speaker 9 (01:52:08):
Yeah, I actually enjoyed pretty much too. I'm waiting for
the second season. I'm already amped up. I did watch
last night. I watched it again, but I watched Happy
Gilmore and I because now I knew a little bit
more going into it, and I did see Nikki Bella
like she wasn't it. I was like, oh shit, you
were in it a lot actually, just no real lines.

(01:52:33):
She looked like she was Becky Lynch's caddie in the movie.

Speaker 5 (01:52:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:52:40):
And then MJF Becky La had like a line or
two yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:52:45):
Yeah, really not even a big line either, so.

Speaker 7 (01:52:47):
They had darted like she was. Thirdly, I know they did.

Speaker 9 (01:52:54):
I love it. I love it when when, especially as
a heel wrestler, talking herself up like she had a
huge part in that movie. And then you find out what.

Speaker 7 (01:53:01):
I can't wait till this till this Live Morgan movie
comes out and she has two lines in it. She
was the star and momby and she was back in
two weeks, Like.

Speaker 11 (01:53:15):
Right, don't let that movie come out on a slow
box office weekend and they're funk around to be number
one or some ship.

Speaker 7 (01:53:21):
Yeah, the number one movie in the world.

Speaker 5 (01:53:25):
You ain't gonna be able to ship.

Speaker 9 (01:53:30):
Yeah that's funny. Yeah, dude, that's that's all I got.
You guys, got anything else to want to plug and
talk about?

Speaker 11 (01:53:42):
Nothing really of No, I haven't been checking out n
x T lately, so I can't speak to anything that's
coming up on heat Wave. I need to get back
on that next though. It's been since I really tuned in,
And other than that, I'm looking.

Speaker 5 (01:53:55):
Forward to try.

Speaker 7 (01:53:58):
It will be at n XT this next week. I'm
getting paid. I'll be getting paid to attend.

Speaker 9 (01:54:05):
Fancy.

Speaker 5 (01:54:08):
Yeah, so look for me.

Speaker 7 (01:54:10):
Probably not right at all.

Speaker 12 (01:54:15):
Collision in a couple of weeks to the Collision, and
AW is going to be at the DCW Arena for
a couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (01:54:25):
Yeah, a W has been here. I've gotten a ticket
to either one of the shows.

Speaker 9 (01:54:30):
Alive.

Speaker 11 (01:54:33):
It keeps falling on days where my work schedule doesn't
really work out, and even this back down that's coming
to Norfolk next month is on a If it had
been one week later, it would have been perfect for
me because it would have fallen on my three day
weekend where I'm off Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But nope,
Instead it wants to be on the weekend where I

(01:54:54):
work that Saturday and I'm not really trying to get
off work at six o'clock try to haul ass to
Norfolk to get to the show, which is going to
be hella traffic and all that, then get off from
whenever the show ends, get back across the water home

(01:55:16):
and then have to turn around Saturday morning and get
up for work. So I'm trying to see if I
can get somebody to cover that Saturday for me, and
if so, then I will probably attend SmackDown.

Speaker 5 (01:55:32):
Right on, yeah, right on?

Speaker 9 (01:55:35):
Uh, doil anything else you want to plug before we go?
Where can the people find you?

Speaker 12 (01:55:39):

Facebook page you like, I really appreciate it.

Speaker 9 (01:55:49):

(01:56:19):
this this.

Speaker 1 (01:56:22):
Oh yeah, all right, Wadies and gentlemen, enjoyed this while
you can't. We have four months left to enjoy the
greatness that is John Stah.

Speaker 4 (01:56:44):

Oh my god, well has come to the sattle Lands.

Speaker 5 (01:57:39):
Wee it's been years.

Speaker 2 (01:57:41):
Hold on, John, I'm looking at the look and jump
seen his eyes. It doesn't look like he's ready to
greet an old friend here.

Speaker 1 (01:57:48):
That's a small man that let us let not use
the word friend when it comes to Lester and Sena.
This is a man that has seen the hell out
of John seen over the years.

Speaker 3 (01:57:58):
This is a man who was a wolhe.

Speaker 5 (01:58:00):
Hazard, a walking throat.

Speaker 1 (01:58:04):
John Sita what's called this man is his greatest rival,
his toughest rival, his most physical rival. His brock Lester
is here and he's as mast as as effort. The

(01:58:59):
beast has not taken his eyes off John Cena since
he entered his stadium. He had a shit his jack
and he's taken off his hat.

Speaker 8 (01:59:10):
This is a man built for one play and brocklessor
but Job sat on his shoulders Procklester with a futter.

Speaker 5 (01:59:18):
Job Stata on the night when.

Speaker 8 (01:59:24):
John Cena went through it up to Loute four with
Tony Rhodes.

Speaker 2 (01:59:30):
Let's be honest, brock Lessner was never coming down here
to commiserate with anyone. A message has been sent and
everything we thought we knew about ww he just changed Waite.

Speaker 1 (01:59:44):
What I said is John Cena's got four months left
and it could be a nightmare. A man who has
dominating this event has once again made headlines.

Speaker 4 (01:59:53):
The beast is back.

Speaker 5 (01:59:56):
You are the world's I missed sign up a bit.

in commentary, nobody can touch me.

You are not privates because the extreme perfect.

Speaker 8 (02:00:24):
