Yo yo, what a do PCW Crew main event. Dre
Uso is back on your podcast.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
We're right, we're off air here for a little bit.
We're talking about video games. Went we were starting to
go down our uh tunnel here. We were talking about
old video games, old wrestling video games. Uh even knockoff
brand video games. But uh, let me, let me bring
the guy who doesn't like to play as many video
(03:16):
games here.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
He is m m.
Speaker 7 (03:34):
Mm hmmm mm hmmm.
Speaker 6 (03:40):
Mm hmmm, m h.
Speaker 7 (03:45):
M hmmm.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Mm hmmmm.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
Doyle, welcome back.
Speaker 7 (03:54):
Oh, yes, yes see the oil e. Yes, I know,
I said, I am not. Uh, it's just smoir didn't rhyme. Yeah,
I really like video games, but you know what I
do like. I like exciting things like art history. Have
(04:16):
you guys seen the graphics package for this uh particular
p l E. I assume you have.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
It's probably it's probably the thumbnail for this very podcast
you're clicking on right now, which is a course based
on Sorry Night five Mint the Vango one of the
probably most recognizable uh Katie's in the Western.
Speaker 7 (04:40):
Canon, I would say.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
But here's the thing, then Goo in French. She's Dutch,
and sorry Night isn't depicting Paris. It's depicting h Saint
Remade the province. Of course, everybody knows that. And it's
about almost five hundred miles away from Paris.
Speaker 7 (04:57):
And the painting isn't hanging in the loom or in Pari.
It's in New York City and has beens. It's supporting.
There's zero connection to Paris. And here's another thing, class
in Paris isn't in Paris.
Speaker 6 (05:14):
So there all right, setting the bar for this podcast
right out right out the gate. Who love it?
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Everything? Everything I thought I knew was a lie set
in the mood.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
This whole time I saw I saw the graphic and
I was like, oh, it's like the van Go that's
in France. And then and then this whole time.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Lies all of it. You know what I'm mad about? Though?
While you were playing Doyle's Interest music, I was literally
looking at the picture of Roman and thinking that's starry Night.
I wonder if it has any connection to it. So
as it's playing, I was literally clicking on the wiki
and looking at It's like, may go, motherfucker's Dutch. The
(05:56):
hell click on the picture. Okay, something in is Okay,
I guess that's loosely connected, but that ain't bears. And
then here he comes on a literally talking about everything
I was just looking up.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Well, I mean, it's not like Paris, France hasn't been
the subject of any art art, you know what I mean.
There's so many places, because so many things are gonna
done that we're more connected.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
It's so cool. Don't get me wrong. Nothing Once you
remember Paris, that's.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
All Tribles would just love you in the writer's room.
Just damn Doyle, you just gotta suck the fun out
of everything, damn it. Yeah, somebody definitely dropped the ball
on that.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
On that, you know, with the research for somebody, somebody
fresh hated something worth a damn at some point in history.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Very tenuous scrape on anything requiring too like to endoor
brain power with something.
Speaker 7 (06:58):
Uh you know, say.
Speaker 6 (07:02):
So that's said, Yeah, we were talking.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
About the department probably didn't even do it themselves. They
probably just plugged that ship into AI or something.
Speaker 6 (07:12):
Yeah. Yeah, as I said, we don't. We don't even
use any AI at all for this podcast. Nothing. I
do everything from scratch, like even all the editing and
all that ship. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if they
used AI for a bunch of stuff.
Speaker 7 (07:27):
Full disclosure, I use AI analog intelligence.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Intelligence is very much artificial.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
What do you guys want to talk about, because I
don't know what's really in the news to talk about
right now besides what you know, the upcoming upcoming p
l E. We can discuss how we talked about there's.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
One that's been in the news definitely this week.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
Yeah, well, we'll talk I know it's pretty good. Okay,
we'll talk about that. But I want to talk about
how the ESPN deal came to us a lot faster
than we expected, a lot quicker. I feel like we
kind of like had no time to prepare. And what
I mean prepare, I mean like a lot of people
probably just got done signing certain streaming contracts. I know
(08:22):
some people I asked, did they signed an old package
deal which included Disney, Hulu and HBO Max and now
that their new package deal is Hulu, ESPN and Disney.
But I would like to bring to light that Hulu
(08:42):
is now getting fully absorbed into Disney. So at some point,
you know, within the next few months, there's going to
be a different package. I assumed who's just going to
absorb all the way into Disney, you know the Disney
Plus app? Is your prices gonna go up now that
(09:03):
you have Disney and Hulu combined, or you know, if
you have them, you know, if you just pay for Disney,
it's your Disney. You know, subscription gonna go up now?
Speaker 4 (09:14):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (09:15):
Or are you one of those people who locked into
a contract. And some people do that because they're they're
scared of prices or you know, changing, or they they
come a good contract deals. But I'm a churner and
that's uh I I wait until it Yes, dude, exactly,
That's exactly what I do all weekend.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
No I uh.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
I subscribe when I want to, when I feel like
I need to, when things have I feel like enough
has piled up, and it's like, okay, well I'm gonna
trade this you know, streaming network for somebody else and
I can watch I don't know, Amazon Prime for like
a month and catch up on like so much shit
(09:59):
binge wa. It's like a bunch of crap, Like I
just want I just got Disney Plus back from somebody,
and I'm looking in at some stuff I missed, and
you know what I'm basically getting at is I found
somebody who was willing to work the new ESPN deal
(10:20):
with me and split it three ways because I ain't
paying them thirty dollars. I'm just I'm not, dude. I
immediately like, as soon as I heard that, you know, okay,
this is the last pl that's gonna be on Peacock,
and then after that the nxt ones will continue on
Peacock for the rest of the year, but the main
(10:42):
roster pls will be on ESPN Plus. So that's when
I was like, okay, like I want this. If you
want this ride to continue, you know, I have to pursue. Now.
I have to chase them and you know, make ends
meet somehow, whether it's financially or finding other people to
(11:05):
go in on it, because again, thirty dollars is a lot,
and they're going to outprice their product. I really think
I believe it. Man, if it's not within the past
the past three years, if it wasn't me like seeing
this progression of like how much it cost us to
go to WrestleMania, how much it costs the year after
(11:27):
we went, how much it costs everybody else. You know
how much those tickets went up, and now we have
Summer Slams two nights. We discussed how expensive like just
merch was, like, it's just going through the roof, and
now with all these different app deals, it's you might
just price us out of this product.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
I'll give you a perfect example of that, just to
put it in context. Yeah, guych right, So WrestleMania forty Yeah,
when we bought our tickets, yep, both nights where we
were sitting at granted wasn't really close, but still good
seats in my opinion, both nights we played a little
over seven hundred for both nights, SmackDown both knights of
(12:17):
WrestleMania forty seven hundred and sixty bucks. SmackDown coming to
the ten thousand seat Norfolk Scope, maybe ten to fifteen,
somewhere in that range Norfolk Scope in about two weeks.
Balcony seats the closest balcony seat eight hundred dollars. Floor
(12:43):
seats are over a thousand, and we're talking a year
and a half basically times between the two. If that
don't put into context how absolutely absurd WWE has gotten
(13:04):
with their pricing. MM hmm.
Speaker 7 (13:08):
Yeah, man, I've been I've been beaten this drum for
a while.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
And yeah, I mean, first of all, for something that
had so many meetings and emails and probably emails about
meetings and meetings about emails.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Man, was the.
Speaker 7 (13:22):
ESPN rollout saying really poorly done, so.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Many class says we don't really about the answers, I
don't think, but it's just talk about out of the blue,
no time to prepare.
Speaker 7 (13:35):
I think what everybody thought, Oh we had at least
till the end of the year.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
It's not until WrestleMania to figure out, you know, what
you're gonna do?
Speaker 7 (13:45):
Can I afford this? Am I gonna drop this and this?
And then pick up ESPN or whatever? You know?
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Or you know, maybe people have to somebody's out there,
I'm sure saving up to try to get you know.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
And it just seems like such a fucking jump water
all over everything.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Maybe everything more complicated, more expensive, and there's you know,
maybe this is the beginning.
Speaker 7 (14:10):
Of the breaking point.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Yeah, and it's terrible timing too, because they're doing it right.
It's September, in the middle of getting which back to school.
Have a lot of people, a lot of people spend. Yeah,
the NFL season is starting, so from just from a
within the scope of context of of streaming and those services,
NFL season is starting, which means a lot of sports
(14:35):
fans who are who do it are about to sell
out a butt ton of money for possibly NFL Sunday
ticket or other things like that. And suppose there's some
crossover between that, like a person like me who does
NFL and wrestling, like I do the NFL Sunday ticket
thing because I've got YouTube TV and now I have
(14:55):
to factor in this you know, ESPN thing as well,
all around the same time, Like, yeah, they're hitting people
with a lot at a very inconvenient time, Like I
just happened to be looking at it myself today to
see I'm still technically on an old legacy ESPN bundle.
(15:17):
So my bundle is priced at twenty one ninety nine
a month, but I only actually pay about twelve bucks
a month for it because it's an old legacy bundle
and I had a discount that's been maintained all this time.
So I get Disney Plus with no ads, Hulu with ads,
an ESPN Plus which apparently now is ESPN Select, and
(15:41):
I've been doing getting for twelve bunch times right, and
as I'll be getting that for twelve bucks a month
if I make the switch now, supposedly my discount may
still remain in effect, but I would if I were
to get something comparable to what I have, which would
be the Disney Plus no as it would be Hulu
(16:02):
with no ads because there is no option to split
that apparently in their bundles and the ESPN Limited, I
would get that bundle for thirty bucks, so it would
be another eighteen bucks for me. It's still cheaper than
what the base price of that service would be, which
is like forty five bucks or something like that, but
it's still an increase and money for shit that I
(16:27):
I have not touched Hulu, and god knows how long
I only still have it because other people in my
family use it. I pretty much only use Disney Plus
for Marvel and Star Wars stuff, don't really watch much
of any other stuff that's up there. And ESPN Plus,
I've that's just been the thing and it's just been there.
(16:48):
I've never used that hardly and the whole time I've
had it. Granted, now WWE maybe a reason to use it,
but it's still up in the air for me on
whether it's really worth it or if I'm about to start,
you know, sailing the broadband seas.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, and you can pay you can pay what five
bucks a month for a decent VPN that works well
and isn't full of ads or whatever.
Speaker 7 (17:15):
And then watch it on Netflix, right, Yeah, people do that.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
A lot of people watch, don't They watch SmackDown as
well on Netflix?
Speaker 7 (17:22):
Like, yeah, I believe.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Yeah. But the thing about the VPN option is you're
tied to your computer to watch that, so you can't
you can't put VPNs on things like smart TVs or
something like that. So if you're somebody who likes to
sit down for the actual TV.
Speaker 7 (17:42):
A VPN was like a VCR.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
No, all right, listen man, No, because I have I
have a web browser on my computer. Yeah, that has
a built in VPN. You get certain browsers like Opera
and stuff like that that have built in VPNs that
you can flip on and off easily with just a click.
(18:05):
But again that's it's that's if you're somebody who just
wants to sit in front of their you know, computer
monitor and watch this stuff. If you want to sit
in front of a television or something like that. You
either have to go through some more complicated or convoluted
way through some jailbroken streaming device like a firestick or
something like that, or some other questionable streaming device to
(18:27):
try to you know, backdoor VPN onto and access that.
But you're not gonna be able to do it through
a native streaming device like a Roku or Smart TV
through its native service that like that. In that case,
a VP is not going to work, or it's prohibitively
complicated to try to make it work. So even that's
(18:48):
not as viable of an option that people like to
try to make it, seem And if it's if and
as if the ep ESPN thing isn't complicated enough with
its bundling shit with Disney, right, Apparently Fox Sports is
also about to launch their streaming service called Fox one
(19:11):
or whatever, and there's gonna be a bundle package at
some point that bundles Fox Sports with ESPN, and that's
gonna be its own bundle for uh the fuck wants
that shit? I guess the diehard sports people. But it
seems like everybody's just trying to throw whatever the hell
they can think of at the wall and see whatever
(19:31):
the fuck sticks.
Speaker 6 (19:33):
You know what I wish like somebody would have told
me when I was a little kid, when I got
into pro wrestling, like somebody like sat me down and like, listen,
one day, this thing that you love is going to
be so expensive that you cannot watch it anywhere. What
you mean, this thing that's always on my free my
cable television that's always there in my face, every channel
(19:56):
trying to like advertise and trying to tell me if
they're going to be on you know, Prime TV in
front of my face. Yes, yes, it's just it sucks, man,
It really sucks. Like I never thought it's it's getting
to this, you know, like a hobby. I mean that's
(20:16):
what it is. It's like it's a hobby that you love. Yes,
sports are the same way, I'm sure. Like I felt
that way about hockey for a while, Like I couldn't
watch my team that that that plays an hour from
my fucking house. I couldn't watch all the games unless
I had multiple different apps, and it kind of drove
me nuts and to the point was like all right, well,
(20:39):
you know what, we're gonna take a break. Like you know,
it's not it's not me, it's you, And like that's
what it's gonna end up with, w W. At some point,
it's gonna push people. And I cannot wait to see
the numbers of new subscriptions to ESPN. You know, like
how like how many people like actually did this? Like
(21:03):
is it?
Speaker 7 (21:03):
Is?
Speaker 6 (21:03):
It gonna be big numbers? Like like when people subscribe
to Netflix for for raw this year with the numbers.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
They're they're gonna inflate the numbers in some way, shape
or form or try to manipulate it to make it
look better than what it was. Right, they'll say something
because they'll they'll basically take the people who are probably
already subscribed to some bundle and just didn't change anything
and say, oh, we've got sex. We've converted all these
people over to ESPN Select subscribers and blah blah blah
(21:33):
blah blah, Like it'll be interesting to see, but it'll
be curious to see, you know, how many people actually well,
if they disclose it, which again I don't think they do,
how many people actually signed up for specifically ESPN Unlimited?
Speaker 6 (21:50):
Right now, let me ask you guys both this with
your peacock deals. I want to know about your cock deals, uh,
your pea cock deals that is, uh, mine is rolled
into my Exfinity account, my Internet, and I pay a
pretty decent price to the point where like, I don't
even realize that I'm I have Peacock really rolled into it.
(22:13):
You know, you are kind of paying for Peacock, but
you're kind of not. I think Peacock's priced at like
fifteen a month. I don't know, I gotta double check that.
But Drey, how's your Peacock rolled in? Like, are you
just it separate? Is it rolled in with like a
phone plan?
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Nope? Mine is just separate nine bucks a month. And
it's probably about to go. It's probably about to get
dropped because again, the only thing I'll really only had
it for two things, and that's WWE. And there's one
other show that I watched up there that I really love,
and that's bel Air. So I'm probably finished the last
(22:54):
season of bel Air and then I'll drop it and
whatever the fourth and final season comes out, I'll let
them episodes come out, get it for a month, watch it,
and be done with it. There really ain't nothing else
up there for having it that makes it worth having.
Speaker 6 (23:09):
I'm watching Twist and Metal right now, that's what's got me.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah show, I started watching it but never finished the
first season. But again, one of two shows is not
enough for me to keep extreaming service. Like Peacock, I
don't use it enough to maintain it.
Speaker 6 (23:25):
Yeah, right now, I'm looking at the prices, So seven
eighty dollars a year, eighty dollars, that's a reasonable number,
not three hundred and sixty dollars a year. Wolf Doyle,
what about your Peacock Peacock situation.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Well, I'm in a different position than you guys.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Are because he's kind of got a.
Speaker 7 (23:51):
Yeah, I'm just shooting the cable lady, gotcha, gotcha. I
will say that as someone that basically has the equivalent
of the old black Box back in the day.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Extinity does not have a deal with the ESPN yet,
if they're going to at all.
Speaker 7 (24:15):
Because some people's cable packages allow you access to.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
ESPN unlimited, like I think Direct TV does, I think
Spectrum Cable does. Certain so like that, like I said,
another part of the rollout with so much uncertainty, like
I still don't know if they work on.
Speaker 7 (24:36):
Some kind of deal and Ectinity customers.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Get access to ESPN sell like through Extinity, I will
be able to get that.
Speaker 7 (24:46):
Whether or not it costs it'll blow thirty dollars is
not my concern, but I would be able to get
access to that.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
But as I don't have access to any of this yet,
I think that I have that same the bundle Disney
bundle you have. I think if you're paying full price
for that, I think there's an upgrade option for that,
but I don't think that you get to keep your
discount under no circumstances, so you're still.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
Paying the thirty dollars regardless.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
I know there is a way to get to twenty five,
but paying for the whole year in advance takes it
down to twenty five a month.
Speaker 7 (25:23):
But that's not really a great.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Yeah. Like I said, the one I was looking at,
it would be thirty dollars a month for me for
what is basically would be the premium bundle. The premium
bundle normal price would be like for anybody who didn't
doesn't have the legacy plan I have, it's something like
forty two or forty something dollars a month, So I
would save something, but it's still still a pretty considerable
(25:51):
chunk for a questionable amount of content I would actually consume.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
Right, My recommendation is, you know, split it three ways
with somebody, because you can stream three devices at once.
So even if you guys are all watching a wrestling
pay per view at the same time, it's not gonna
screw with it and then pay ten a month. Split
it three ways. I mean, that's the only way. That's
(26:17):
the only thing I can think of, because at least
you guys are getting two other subscriptions with it. I mean,
it's kind of fair, right, I mean, it's not just fair,
it's it's just like how we have to live now.
But I mean I remember a time this is this
is funny saying this too.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Well.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
I remember when when all these streaming aps were coming
out there, I had all of them, Like I had HBO,
I had Peacock, I had Amazon Prime, Uh what Netflix?
What else? Am I missing Peacock?
Speaker 7 (26:50):
And well there's there there a couple of them.
Speaker 6 (26:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well, like I'm trying.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
To say, like, right, yeah, and back then Hulu having
because that was like.
Speaker 6 (27:08):
Substitute, right right, There was a there was a we
had a sweet silver lining moment where everything was good,
like everything was affordable, Apple TV even like we we
even had all these apps Paramount plus more coming to
my mind, shutter showtimes they were more.
Speaker 7 (27:27):
Of those popped up the worst the gout right right.
Speaker 6 (27:30):
But like the thing is, yeah, exactly when it became
more competitive, these more of these apps showed up. Then yeah, dude,
like the prices were going up.
Speaker 8 (27:39):
And then once once Wing was over, before Disney even
came abot like.
Speaker 7 (27:48):
Before Disney Plus, oh.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Yeah, I think I think for me, probably the golden
age of streaming was when it was like Netflix, Hulu,
crunchy roll was still in its infancy, or like the
anime people in this it was like five dollars and
maybe HBO Go before it was even Max. Back when
it was just HBO Go. That was probably like the
(28:11):
sweet spot because you had Netflix for you movies, all
your TV stuff was on Hulu, so you didn't need
cable because you could just watch it on Hulu the
next day. Most people's premium channel of choice was HBO,
so you had HBO Go, which gave you all that
shit extream and that pretty much you had pretty much
had your self covered right there for a cost that
(28:33):
was way cheaper than what you would have paid for
all that with cable.
Speaker 6 (28:36):
You know, I could probably pinpoint when I was happy.
When I was It's like a relationship. When I was happy. Yeah,
it was five years ago before the WWE app was
sold to Peacock. That's when I was happy. When everything
I wanted wrestling wise, besides Raw and SmackDown was on,
(28:58):
like was on that app, some backdown were on TV
where I could watch them normal cable TV. I watched
them on Sling TV back then, and then my pay
per views and n x T was on the w
W app and everything else, and it was a better format,
it was well organized.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
I had to for all the credit they get for
being so far ahead of the game on streaming their stuff, like.
Speaker 7 (29:22):
They've never been as good as they were on that app.
Speaker 6 (29:26):
Like it was the content, the layout, the layout of
how like if you wanted to search for WrestleMania, I
didn't WrestleMania weren't considered seasons. I'd have to look for
what season, you know what I mean? Like fux sake,
Like it just shows like whoever's doing this doesn't fucking
understand the the product, you know, like that that the
(29:48):
that this is the ip, Like they didn't understand it, like.
Speaker 7 (29:52):
And.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
I thought screen shots of the thumbnails they I'm sure
they're just temporary for.
Speaker 7 (30:01):
Some of the ESPN stuff. And it's got like it's
like Joe on there, it's got uh, it's like it's
like five six years old as bron Strowman on it.
It's like people that aren't in the company anymore.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Oh, it's like, uh.
Speaker 7 (30:19):
That way straight up the benet that they don't know
what the fuck they're doing either.
Speaker 6 (30:22):
Yeah, yeah, because you.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Gotta think ESPN is gonna be primarily focused on ESPN content,
Like they're gonna make sure that their stuff looks best
for us, you know all you know, their first take
the sports centers, the actual sports programming and products, and
they're gonna be like w W, Yeah, here's this add
on thing on the side for the people. It's over there.
(30:50):
Maybe if they have some decent web developer behind it,
they will be like its own. It'll be something maybe
like what Disney Plus looks like or HBO looks like.
Where it's on the sidebar and then there's the hub
and it can take you directly to what when you
want to go to like how on Disney Plus you
can select you know, Marvel or Disney or Natchet National
(31:11):
Geographic or Hulu content specifically. Maybe ESPN will have something
like that like you know ESPN stuff, you know, sport this,
you know, football stuff, basketball, you know, premierly and then
w W will be its own dedicated channel within the
app to take you to all of that ship.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
I think it's just yeah, it's things just frustrating. Yeah,
it's just like like Dole said, it felt like there
was no prep. It came out of nowhere, like we
were mentioned hey, like literally last episode. I talked about it,
last episode or two, and then.
Speaker 7 (31:57):
Yeah, we're like, well it's like stick on, yeah exactly,
and all of a sudden, fuck guys followed.
Speaker 6 (32:06):
Geez and I understand like they they met their quota
for Peacock, and I heard what helped me through quota
for an extra pay per view was Evolution. Uh so
when we had Evolution, that was an extra pay per
view that wasn't intended, I guess, and that helped make it.
Speaker 7 (32:23):
So that makes.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Yeah, that makes me wonder too, like how long have
they been in negotiations with ESPN about this thing? And
could they have been like, you know, doing some back
door thing like hey, ESPN. Yo, Yo, what's up man?
Y'all y'all trying to kick it later? Ain't you still
fucking with that peacock bitch over there?
Speaker 7 (32:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:42):
I can get her, get rid of her real quick word?
What you gotta do? Hey, look, man, I gotta put
on maybe like eight more shows, you know what I'm saying.
Then me and her we can break down, you know
what I'm saying. Me and you can kick it eight
more shows, Like, dude, it's April. Bro, I'll crank six
of these motherfuckers out next week? What's good? And that's
how probably we got all them damn PL's like what
(33:03):
seven of them a month and a half, it seemed.
Speaker 6 (33:06):
Like them out.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
It makes me wondering how did they cram all them
things in early to get the right just to get
the fuck out of the Peacock deal as quickly as
they could so they could jump in and get in
bed with ESPN.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
What about the deal with Summer Slam? We had two
Summer Slams? And like, also, how long has the two
Nights of WrestleMania been going on? Because was that before?
Speaker 7 (33:33):
No, No, it.
Speaker 6 (33:39):
Was this before the Peacock contract. And then they started
adding pay per views in you know that weren't in
that original contract. I'm just trying to like fill in
with gaps. I mean, we're only talking like a handful
of months.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
But I think the two night WrestleMania thing, I think
that might have been more of a t KO decision
or something. Okay, but well no, cause they started it
before the merger, didn't they. Oh yeah, yeah. I think
that that may have just been a natural thing, just
as far as growing the product, because remember that they kept.
Speaker 7 (34:10):
Long five or something was like seven hours long or something.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Right, that was probably just a natural progression to show
itself getting so ridiculously long. They said all right, we're
gonna split it, and then it kind of worked. And
then here comes to corporations like hey, yeah, I should
do that more get more money.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
We have we have still a cable contract with USA
Network for SmackDown. Now we have NXC is gonna still
be on Peacocks and the end the year, and now
we have the Netflix steel for all, and we have
this going to ESPN. Is this the top? This is
(34:55):
this peak?
Speaker 8 (34:56):
Because of all the different channel and then uh, what's
what's LSG or hell it' that's on a different channel
and biography and and let's go find uh on the
Giants boots with Booker T and Kick Foley and a
(35:17):
card and you know, the.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Contact all over the place, a shotgun blast kind of philosophy,
which does make sense.
Speaker 7 (35:27):
But for as a consumer, it's just it's in so
many fucking places. It might as well be in known places,
right for.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Obviously some of that stuff has limited reach or limited appeal.
You know, I don't know how many people are like
only the most die hard, die hard of WWE fans
are like, Man, I gotta catch everything every week, you know.
I gotta catch wrong Monday. I gotta catch NX steel
on Tuesday. I gotta catch the biography stuff on Sunday.
I gotta catch the LFG thing when it happens.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
I gotta catch I agree, But it's just so much,
so so fucking much in so many different places.
Speaker 7 (36:04):
It's damning impossible to even attempt to keep Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Yeah, and I but that part. I don't necessarily fault
w w E four. Like something as big as them,
they have to grow at some point, and do it
be more than just two shows in a pay per view.
They got way too much content and way too much
history and all that stuff that, you know, that for
them to try to capitalize on some of that stuff, again,
(36:33):
I don't fault them for that, and trying to at
least branch out, you know with shows like the Biography
and the and the uh you Found or Lost Items
or whatever. You know, that's just diversifying their portfolio and stuff.
So that part I'm okay with. And you know, I
don't feel compelled like I have to see it. It's hey,
(36:54):
here's this optional thing within the culture of wrestling if
you want to see it. The primary products are always
still going to be raw, Smacked Down and the PLS.
If you're one of those people who wants to see
the up and comers, you got NXT. If you want
to go deeper into the up and comers and check
out you know, what would be the equivalent like the
(37:14):
high school talent, then you got the your Evolve or
something like that. So it's kind of levels to it,
and maybe that's part of ww trying to make themselves
more quote sports like where they have you know, the
Major League of Raw and SmackDown, the Minor League of
nx T and there and there. You know, maybe they're
(37:36):
n C Double A equivalent of Evolve or something like that.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
So it's funny because NXT was at the venue I
emanated from the venue I work at, and uh, which
I guess I should talk about a little bit, but
I'm not gonna.
Speaker 7 (37:51):
I'll wait for us to finish this conversation. But yeah,
somebody asked me, like, I know this is ww EV,
but like, what is it? And I was like, well,
you don't have to time minor league team. I'm like,
this is the minor league.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Yeah, I mean that's the best way to describe it.
Thisbody who doesn't know any better. Like Ross Mackdown is
the major leagues, nx T would be the minor league.
Or you could say, like you know, if this is
if Ross SmackDown or the NFL, then NXT is n
C Double A, Right, although probably major minor league is
(38:27):
probably a better analogy, because don't nobody get called up
from n C Double A to go play Sunday. Yeah,
you Patriots ain't.
Speaker 7 (38:38):
There's a little more of a back and forth between
the main roster and right.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
A little more integration. Yeah, definitely. Ain'tybody calling down to
Alabama like, hey man, can we borrow one of you'll
players this Sunday before we play the Colts.
Speaker 7 (38:52):
I bet they lit their cuts.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
You're right, you know that.
Speaker 7 (38:55):
You know what, like a college kid would probably get
his as hand to him. Honestly, I mean like to
said that the handful that could compete right off the bat.
But like, there's a reason that these guys have months
of training camp between whenever.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
They played their last college game in their first NFL game, right, And.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
There's a reason why out of what is probably thousands
of college of collegiate football players, only what a few
hundreds of the NFL. And of those few hundred that
make it to they get drafted, not all of them
actually make it to Sunday. Some of them are just
destined to be practice roster or don't make it past.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
And I think I think a season and a half
is like the average career length something, which in half
of them are shorter than that.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
Yeah, yeah, I think the average NFL career I think
it was something like two and a half or three
years or something like that was like the average NFL career.
Speaker 7 (39:54):
Yeah, very short.
Speaker 6 (39:55):
Yeah, m all right. Yeah, let's what a hell of
an opening.
Speaker 7 (40:05):
Man.
Speaker 6 (40:05):
We ran it for like forty minutes.
Speaker 7 (40:06):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (40:08):
ESPN.
Speaker 7 (40:09):
At some point we will.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Actually talk about the thing happening in France.
Speaker 6 (40:12):
Yeah, I know, yeah, I don't know a lot of French. Geez,
I'm gonna butcher this al right, guys.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
I told you just be the simple damn Yankee about it.
The Paris Defense Arena.
Speaker 6 (40:30):
Yes, the Paris Lot Defense Arena. It's probably like Defonte something.
Speaker 7 (40:39):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
Paris Defense.
Speaker 6 (40:43):
Yeah, Parents Defense WW returns to Francis Sunday on Sunday,
not Saturday. Guys, remember that clashed in Paris. It's the
latest premium live event from the hot European crowd, which
I'm sure they will fucking hijack. John Cena will headline
the show against former United States champion Logan Paul, while
(41:04):
Seth Rollins defends his world title. And I start studied
fatal four way match sprinkling a good old fashioned Donnybrook
and an appearance from Roman Regins, And you have a
loaded card for the French fans. Who will emerge victorious
from the show, And what if any surprises could the
fans expect? All Right, the first.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
Question that comes to mind from me, what's that? Did
they call it? Did they call it a Donnybrook match
because Paris or French people don't know how to street fight.
Speaker 6 (41:38):
I mean, to be honest, man, Like, let me think
about it.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
Any other street fight. They try to associate it with
the locale. I mean, we've had a street fight for
damn near every city in the United States, like they
is there no French equivalent of a street fight?
Speaker 7 (41:56):
No, I guess not, Like there's the Weeks and Gimmick match.
Though this is like the fourth of old fashion.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Donney Brooks samous and he's gone for Drew McIntyre a
few times.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
It's like like like you think, then again, Yeah, but
then again, these are the people who didn't have the
common decency to use actual French artwork for their promo.
Speaker 6 (42:26):
I mean, yeah, we're having donning Brook matches, which is
basically no holds barred, you know, anything goes extreme rules,
tribal combat, bloodline rules. It's no fucking different. It's just
they couldn't they couldn't make it. Yeah, you're right, though,
they just couldn't fucking make anything up, right, because you know,
we have matches.
Speaker 7 (42:45):
French scharn exactly known as a savage people.
Speaker 6 (42:50):
We have all different types of dumb ass matches that
we've had in the past. Right, just scrolling down here,
there's an electric pole mat match, Clockwork Clockwork, Orange House
of Fun match, Circus death match, barbed wire massacre match.
Oh uh, I don't know, an eye for an eye match,
(43:12):
first Blood for Corners, whereas I just scrolled past it
because it caught my eye. Landmine deathmatch? What the fuck?
Anus explosion deathmatch? That is a real match that took
place in October nineteen ninety nine. Why not find another
name besides Donnybrook?
Speaker 7 (43:37):
Best thing?
Speaker 1 (43:38):
Do I think they low key trying to say French
people can't fight, even though we've had.
Speaker 6 (43:49):
Some famous, uh famous French wrestlers, right, famous w W
French rest I.
Speaker 7 (43:57):
Mean, I'm going to the Giant, what the French angel
I forget his real name?
Speaker 1 (44:07):
Who else of Resistance Canadian?
Speaker 6 (44:13):
Oh yeah, dude, I don't even know if they were
really French though, Yeah they were just yeah, I mean really,
the only one is Andre the Giant, Like that's the
that's the only French wrestler, A man, they can't call
it an This is where they should have had Andre
the Giant Battle Royal.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
Yeah, if they hadn't already blown out water.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
Look at the picture of the French Angel. The French
Angel is uh whose was based off of not even kidding.
Speaker 6 (44:49):
French Angel.
Speaker 7 (44:51):
French Angel Maurice.
Speaker 6 (44:54):
Oh man, oh my god. Yes, everybody who was listening
to the popodcast, please put aside some time go on
your phone. Uh you might want to go into like
some private but look up the famous w W French
wrestler name uh Angel French.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
The French literally just put in the French Angel. God damn, wow, Wow.
Speaker 6 (45:25):
I paid ticket to see that guy. Now that that's
where you got me.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
I paid I wouldn't you got my money. I don't
need that kind of nightmare for you.
Speaker 6 (45:36):
Why is his hands?
Speaker 7 (45:38):
Like? Wow?
Speaker 6 (45:39):
I got questions, dude.
Speaker 7 (45:43):
But I can't think of a third French rest anyway.
Speaker 6 (45:48):
Yeah, anyway, let's get actually, you know what, while we're
discussing it, lets let's get into the Donnie good old
fashioned Donnie Brook that shamous versus brusive. Right now, is
this like a I think what we believe was a
best of sevens match? It felt like I don't think
it's been announced that, but it feels like it. They've
(46:08):
been just inseparable since Russeve has come back. This is
his first real feud, and I'm hoping it ends here.
I think the Bulgarian Brute is gonna come out as
the winner, because if not, then what are we doing
(46:29):
this whole stick for? You know, him coming back? You know,
I think it would be a solid w fir his career.
I don't know, like cause I don't know where he's
gonna go after this that, you know what I mean?
Like Alistair Black is kind of in the same boat
(46:50):
since coming back to w W. It's like they've kind
of been floundering these shit feuds and I just don't
give a fuck, Like it's gonna be fun. These guys
are gonna beat the shit out of each other. Russ's
gonna win, and then what for either of them? I
don't I don't fucking know. And honestly, I kind of
really don't care. I've seen it one too many times, Dre,
(47:14):
What are you thinking? I'm so negative?
Speaker 1 (47:24):
I don't even know that I have a thought. Okay,
So it's not just me, honest, I mean, it's just
as right, don't even know.
Speaker 6 (47:35):
I mean, if you're in if you're this is when
you're in the bathroom, if you're in the bathroom taking
a piss and you hear who wins? I mean, do
you really care even who wins? Do you even care
to hear who wins? Because it does it matter? Doesn't
matter if Shamus wins, Like, what does it know anywhere?
Speaker 1 (47:55):
There's there's no steaks in this there's no stipulation. Well,
there's a stipulation in the match, or there there's a
gimmick to the match, but there's what does the winner
come out with. I mean, they may shoehorn, they may
try to shoehorn some shit afterwards, where you know, all
the person wins this match, and then next Monday on Raw,
(48:16):
the Intercontinental Champion is doing something and maybe one of
these fuckers comes in and interrupts him and starts to
try to challenge. But eh, you think anyone of either
one of them is taking the title off of dom
right now? No, So it's just two guys who don't
(48:38):
like each other, just fighting for the sake of fighting,
without any real direction or outcome or going anywhere with it.
So when there's no stakes, when there's nothing on the line,
it's kind of hard to gave any investment with it.
They haven't done jack shit with Russo since he came back.
(49:00):
Shamus ain't done much since he came back. He's kind
of almost in the in the veteran enhancement role at
this point, where he's the OG that you can count
on to have a good match with somebody and put
them over and kind of give some credibility to like, oh,
(49:23):
this person beats Shamous. Okay. Other than that, I mean,
it's not to say that the match is gonna suck,
but I don't think they're gonna do anything different from
what we've already seen in their Raw matches and such. Yeah, so.
Speaker 7 (49:42):
What new.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
I would be perfectly happy if this match kicked off
this The best thing that they can happen for this
match is if it kicks off this pl because the
crowd will be hot, the crowd will be ready to
see some action. Let these two go out here and
beat the crap out of each other, and that would
be a pretty good kick off to the show.
Speaker 6 (50:05):
Doyle, I know you're really excited about this match.
Speaker 9 (50:09):
Well, you know, I really like both of these guys,
and I you know, I have like their their interactions
on Raw the past several weeks.
Speaker 7 (50:19):
But I also you know, like we kind of we
complain about predictability sometimes and how things are a little
too predictable. Well, i'll give it. I'll give it this.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
It's unpredictable because I have no idea who's going to
win this match, but also don't really give a ship. Uh,
Like it's bad unpredictable and good unpredictable, right, this is
good on burs is bad unpredictable.
Speaker 7 (50:44):
Like I think, I think, what what what's going on
with Bailey?
Speaker 2 (50:47):
I think that's good unpredictable, that's bad, unpredictable, and I
just don't give a ship.
Speaker 7 (50:52):
Yeah, it'll be a fun match. You're gonna take the
shirt out of each other.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
Seamus is gonna look like he uh went to a
Hamburger can meet processing plant.
Speaker 7 (51:02):
But you know, you know he's gonna be fucking purple
by the end of this thing. Uh, but who cares,
you know?
Speaker 2 (51:10):
Like I guess famous, I'm sorry, I guess Rusev wins
because what the fuck out are we doing with him?
Speaker 7 (51:16):
Anyway? But yeah, like I said, I mean some steaks
might have been nice, you know anything.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
The winner gets to compete to be number one contender
for the icy chitele something anything.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
Yeah, you.
Speaker 6 (51:33):
Know, yeah, I agree, I'm just not interested in this.
I mean, for the past few weeks we've seen these
guys wrestle, and before Russive has even come back, I've
seen these guys few before. I mean the few matches
that they had. Okay, cool, but like I just got
I just got bored with it. It wasn't even announced
(51:55):
as a best of seven. Yeah, I I agree, Doyle.
I mean, Seamus is gonna look like chewed up hamburger
meet once this match is done. I'm probably gonna let's
let's face it, these guys are gonna beat the ship
out of each other.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
That might be quite enjoyable, yellun, but in terms of
emotional investment, there is not.
Speaker 6 (52:19):
Yeah, there's a.
Speaker 7 (52:21):
You know.
Speaker 6 (52:21):
Meanwhile, look at all the other titles that aren't on
the card compared.
Speaker 7 (52:27):
To yeah exactly, like why why is that? Some other things?
Speaker 6 (52:32):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (52:32):
So, I mean, I'm sure they're playing in some big
crazy spot or something.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Maybe so maybe somebody's gonna fall off something really high
or something.
Speaker 7 (52:40):
But I'm talking of a spectacle. I don't quite speaking.
Speaker 6 (52:46):
A side note, I saw a video today of Zach
Gowan talking about the spot where brock Lesner pushed him
down the steps with the wheelchair, and he said the
original spot was they Vince wanted them on top of
(53:06):
the fist, the SmackDown fist, and brock to throw him
off of that through the stage. And he's a creative,
just creative. Couldn't find a way to get them.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
Both up keep alive.
Speaker 6 (53:19):
Well that's what I was thinking too, but like to
have them up there, like what was the reason? So
like they went with the wheelchair down the steps, which,
by the way, even the wheelchair down the steps was
fucking rough to watch, Like the guys the guy had
one fucking leg like and I was a kid, like
I was a teenager, and that's just I was like,
oh my god, the guy was like my size too,
(53:40):
and brock lesnards just like throwing them. Oh my god.
Speaker 7 (53:45):
Him.
Speaker 6 (53:46):
It was fucking rough man. It was a few times
I thought that guy was dead, Like it's like, oh,
they he killed him, he killed him.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
He's still bust Vince Man's heads to the white meat
doing that.
Speaker 6 (53:58):
Yeah, And then I saw, like I said, I saw
a video of him yesterday like a cliff and I
was like, goddam, he's still aliveing kicking, But yeah, he's
I thought that was funny when you when you mentioned that.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
Doyle, I don't know that I would see one of
these big guys taking some big fall or something like that.
You kind of do that when it's big guy versus
a small guy, like what we just saw at freaking
NXC heat Wave when freaking over Fami freaking headed the
ship out of a Javan Evans from the ring to
(54:35):
the announced table.
Speaker 7 (54:37):
Yeah, I'm talking. I'm talking. You had, right, Jesus, I'm talking.
I was talking more of those like ones where they
you know, they fall, but you don't really see them fall.
Speaker 1 (54:50):
Oh yeah they yeah, they oblivion and then just happened
to come bopp Yeah, yes.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
Yeah, I'm thinking more more of a theatrical thing than
like somebody going through three tables, Mark.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
But not one light goes out in the arena.
Speaker 6 (55:16):
Oh ship. Yeah, you're right. I could see an announced
table and I could see like.
Speaker 1 (55:24):
Ain't no way in Hill they wasted one of them
announced tables on Seamus a Rousa.
Speaker 6 (55:28):
What about the French announced table?
Speaker 7 (55:30):
Eh?
Speaker 1 (55:31):
Yeah, Hill, Actually it's happening either Logan, Paul and Sina
or Roman and Bronson. All right, yeah you know what
or the Fatal four way.
Speaker 6 (55:43):
Yeah, let's let's move on because this match is not
as fun as I thought I was gonna be. Let's
move on to the Uh yeah, let's move on to
the Johnston and Logan Paul. I mean got me intrigued.
Speaker 7 (55:58):
I you know what.
Speaker 6 (55:59):
I think we heard this kind of rumor months ago,
months months ago. I think we discussed this, like, hey,
I heard there's rumor that John Cena and Logan Paul
might wrestle, and I think it was at WrestleMania, and
we all were like, oh, please, no, don't and we
didn't get it, thank god, but we're getting it here,
which is better, so I guess because we know they
(56:24):
were gonna do tag stuff together for a bit, and
I thought that was the end. I thought that was
what they meant by he was going to be working
with Logan Paul, But now I know it meant like
wrestling instead of just being a tag partner. Which is
kind of funny to see that he tagged with him
as a heel, and now we get John seen as
a face Logan Paul forever heel. Just a regular singles match,
(56:51):
nothing on the line, just the goat versus the goof ah, yeah.
I mean I think this is the the up for
John Cena. I think now that his he's really winding down.
I think he's just gonna go out winning. I think
(57:12):
he's just gonna win this and and everything else coming
his way. I think the big focus here is Brocklessener.
So and you need that w over Logan Paul if
you're gonna be fighting Brocklessing.
Speaker 7 (57:25):
I mean for.
Speaker 6 (57:26):
Johnson to lose against Logan Paul and then faces Blacklesner
after that, what is he just gonna lose all his
matches for his until he retires. I hope not. That's
not how I want to see Johnson go out. He
took the l against Cody, I'm fine with that. I'm content.
But from here on out, I want to see I
want to see some ws for Johnson, some some face ws.
(57:50):
So that's gonna start.
Speaker 1 (57:53):
We'll make sure you clarify that because about I think
Johnson has only lost two matches in this entire year.
Speaker 6 (58:00):
Yeah, I would see some face w's, you know, like
we've and don't get me wrong, I I've enjoyed the
fact that half the year has been John Cena as
a fucking heel, Like I did not know I was
gonna get half heel. Half We didn't know we were
gonna get heal seen a period, but then then then
to get half heeled and face on the way out.
(58:20):
I mean that's I think they're doing it pretty fucking well.
So I assume there's gonna be some cool spots with
Logan Paul. Uh. I think he's he's gonna shine. Johnson
is gonna make him fucking shine. I see, uh, just
an attitude one attitude just hit away from wrapping Logan
(58:41):
Paul up. But that remains to be seen. Dre, what
do you think for that match.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
Scene is definitely gonna win. There's no reason for him
to lose to Logan Paul, right unless he just wanted
to put Logan Paul over, But I don't see him
doing that on his way out. Also, I know I
said that I wanted to see John Cena towards the
(59:12):
end having matches with up and coming talent and just
having good matches and such with some of the younger
guys and you know, giving them a chance to work
with somebody that they may have looked up to or
idolized or whatever, which we know Logan Paul does not
fall into that category. So among that the next generation
(59:34):
of the up and coming talent and stuff that I
would have wanted to see John Cena work with, Logan
Paul was definitely not on that list. I could really
care less about this match. I know it's going to
be a good match because Logan Paul I don't think
has had a single bad match since he's been in WWE.
He pretty much works good with everybody. And if Sena
(59:56):
puts forth half the effort in this match that he
did in his SummerSlam Matt, then the match will definitely
be good.
Speaker 7 (01:00:04):
But it's also.
Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
I'm also weighing that against the fact that we're getting
down to basically the final countdown of John Cena appearances.
I think after I think after this, after Clashing, Parentcy
has what ten or eleven appearances left, and we know, yeah,
(01:00:31):
like ten or eleven appearances left. Somebody broke I saw
somebody break it down. He's got, like I think it
was eleven appearances left. Four of them are going to
be PL's Clash in Paris Crown Jewel Survivor series says
(01:00:53):
his final Okay, is it ten? After after after Clash?
Speaker 6 (01:01:00):
Is ten?
Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
I think so? I think I think I think Clashes
is eleven, So if it's ten after that, then that's
Russell Palooza, Survivor Series, Crown Jewel Saturday Night Made Event
his final match. Those four are confirmed, and then maybe
(01:01:23):
a few others, but I don't remember it all exactly,
but it breaks down to where he would essentially have
like only two unannounced appearances left this year, because I
think the rest of them are already announced or pre
playing around pls and other television events. So this small
(01:01:51):
limited number of appearances he has left, and what of
them are being used on a match with Logan Paul. Yeah,
I would have rather been somebody else. Maybe that's just
because of my inherent disdain for Logan Paul, but yeah,
this is kind of knowing that his dates are are
(01:02:12):
so few, it's so limited left. I'm not too enthused
about seeing him have a match with Logan Paul. That
being said, he's probably gonna win it. I don't see
any reason for him to lose.
Speaker 6 (01:02:26):
Do you think there's gonna be any interference? Do you
think Logan Paul is gonna have any of his lackeys there?
Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
No, I don't see any reason for it, and nothing
Logan Paul to at least to his credit, has gotten
past that. I don't think he needs a gimmicking lackeys
or anything like that. I think he can stand on
his own as a wrestler and you know, win or
lose clean.
Speaker 6 (01:02:48):
Yeah, he said, I would say for the past. You know,
it's been a minute, but he hasn't really had anybody
else interfere like I show. I show Speed was one
of the guys wh would always be there to interfere,
and he hasn't been around since he got his ass
spirit in the Rumble. I think once he got spirited
(01:03:10):
in the Rumble, I think the last time we saw
him so.
Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Pretty much.
Speaker 6 (01:03:17):
H Doyle, what do you think, bud.
Speaker 7 (01:03:23):
Well, you're talking about interference.
Speaker 6 (01:03:25):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (01:03:26):
I'm interested where this match ends up being.
Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
On the card, because if it's the last, I'm thinking
we might see mister Lesnar again.
Speaker 7 (01:03:37):
Uh. And if we do, I could see Logan Paul
winning that way via brock Lesnar interference. That wouldn't really
shocked me. But it's that title match goes last and
this is just in the middle of the card. I
don't think we'll see Rowk in that case.
Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
You know, Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat
as Dre. You're like, uh, I kind of wish we
weren't waks in one of these last Scena matches on
logan Paul, But.
Speaker 7 (01:04:07):
You know, he does bring eyeballs that nobody else does.
Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
He does create these viral moments in a way that
nobody else does. He'll do something weird, uh you know,
camera first person point of view thing like he always does.
Speaker 7 (01:04:23):
So, I mean I get it.
Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
And and if if he really truly is going to
be in our lives for at least a couple of
years there, I think there's benefit to foot him in
the ring with John Cena at this time.
Speaker 7 (01:04:37):
I'm not as uh as I guess. I guess, but
it wouldn't be my first choice either.
Speaker 10 (01:04:48):
But yeah, I mean Barie Brocklets, I don't see any
reason seeing it shouldn't or doesn't win, especially uh way
in the logic few years.
Speaker 7 (01:04:57):
You said, if you're going to thanks leslier next, you
gotta we love and Paul. It doesn't make any.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
Sense otherwise, uh thea I would.
Speaker 7 (01:05:05):
If well to wear then to work. But h I
thick John c wins Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:05:14):
Nice, uh nice clean sweep. I think it's funny now
that johnsena does have such little time left. Right now,
we're at that point we're like, no, you don't get
the wrestle John Cena, because you're you're not worthy of
We're gonna It's like we're very now we're protective as fans.
(01:05:35):
It's like loving Paul. It's like we're like shaking our
heads like old people.
Speaker 7 (01:05:38):
No, we want Conn to give the edge and one
day contract so we can.
Speaker 6 (01:05:44):
I know, and like we're just like shaking our heads
like old people. You're like, now, I don't approve of this.
Speaker 7 (01:05:50):
No. I started watching Peacemaker and I think it's great.
Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
Good dude.
Speaker 6 (01:06:00):
Peace Maker season two episode one.
Speaker 7 (01:06:04):
Wow, I think I think I've watched the first five.
Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
I watched a single I have not watched a single
episode of episode of season two yet.
Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
I won't spoil anything. I will say like in the
broad sense, like it definitely if you like Superman, you're
gonna like peace Maker season two. I'll put to you
like that in that aspect.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
But well, I definitely had mixed feelings about Superman, so
that doesn't well.
Speaker 6 (01:06:38):
But I mean, if you Johnson as Peacemaker is something else,
it is different than you've ever seen John Cena, like
I've seen Johnson.
Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
I've seen I've seen season one a peace Maker and
obviously I saw uh the suicide Squad. Right, so I've
seen him this peacemaker and I love him as peacemaker. Yes,
but I just have not gotten around to starting season
two yet.
Speaker 7 (01:07:05):
Now season you're not picking up when he's putting down. Yeah,
I think I know what you're talking about.
Speaker 6 (01:07:11):
Yeah, Okay, So there's a couple if you ever like
to show like The Boys, right, there's a couple of
scenes in The Boys that that's on Amazon Prime that
you see and you go holy shit, like I can't
believe they they're actually playing this on TV, or like
holy shit, like this is graphic, Like I don't know.
There's moments like that, and the first episode of season two,
(01:07:33):
I'm just like really like, okay, like here we are.
This is James Gunn's universe. But okay, like, man, you
know what, Doyle, Can I just spoil that one little?
Can I just tell what it is?
Speaker 7 (01:07:54):
Oh? I know what I mean, I haven't seen it,
so I couldn't say.
Speaker 6 (01:08:00):
Okay, well, just a little spoiler.
Speaker 7 (01:08:03):
Okay, there's a sexting.
Speaker 6 (01:08:07):
Yes, it is an orgy. It has nothing to do
with the DC as a whole, but Johnsena was at
an orgy and like I was just like, oh wow,
this is Johnsena is doing. He's smoking weed, he's doing
blow and he's had a massive orgy. Like up, there's
a dick, there's there's oh god, okay, and not good
looking people either, not like kind of like Doyle. I
(01:08:31):
think what happened was is like, you know, these bunch
of applications went in and they just accepted.
Speaker 7 (01:08:36):
All of them.
Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
Thought I saw something about how the prop people had
to teach him how to pretend to smoke weed because
he's yeah, okay, so yeah, he just hear the ball
yea and he's like, well, I don't know how to
do that, and they're like yeah, okay, so anyway, and
he's like, no, I really don't.
Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
Know how to Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:09:02):
I mean he's still like like stuff like that makes
me happy, Like after Johnsena leaves, like I still get
to see Johnsona on my TV, Like I get to
see him now in Peacemaker, and I think he's fucking
greatest Peacemaker. So I have promising and hopeful, you know,
vibes for him you know, after he leaves here. So,
(01:09:23):
I mean, it's really cool to know once he retires
from this man's in good hands. So and if you haven't,
I recommend checking it out. Uh all right, yeah, all right,
what's the what's our next match?
Speaker 10 (01:09:39):
Here?
Speaker 6 (01:09:40):
Chat about? Oh fellas? How about Becky Lynch the Women's
Intercontinental Champion versus Nicky Bella. Ooh ooh ooh you can't
you guys, you guys, you guys ruining it. You're ruining
my moment. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure solid
(01:10:06):
w for Becky.
Speaker 7 (01:10:07):
I mean, look, I like, be like, why is this
on this card? Match?
Speaker 6 (01:10:13):
Yes, I I like, don't get me wrong, don't get
me wrong. I'm a I'll even play it. I'm a
mark for Nicky Bella. But that time has coming on,
that time is coming gone. Man, like you were not
the fact that they're trying to make Nikki Bella bigger
than Becky Lynch. No, I'm sorry, it's just.
Speaker 7 (01:10:35):
Not bea and just some kind of like real.
Speaker 6 (01:10:41):
Something. Is it because of her? Is it because she
has star power? You know, the dancing with the stars
and like you know her, Is that is that?
Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
What?
Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:10:56):
Total Divas is that why they make her seem like
she's larger than Becky Lynch, but we know, damn well,
Becky Lynch is the larger, more, you know, better wrestler.
Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
Like Nicky Pella was on e Nicky Bella was on
a non w W show that wasn't part of Raw
spack Down. It was total divas. It was people Washington
who weren't w W fans. So she's like.
Speaker 6 (01:11:26):
Popular on Gilmore Together.
Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
All I'm saying is Nicky Bella gonna have to prove
to me that she can go or still go in
the ring. Unlike a Tris Stratus. We see trishan the match,
we have expectations of a good match because we know
Trish can go. Tris can still go at this age.
Speaker 10 (01:11:50):
I ain't.
Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
I ain't given that same type of faith to Nicky Bella. No,
if she go out there and she cook and she
put on a bang of a match, by all means,
clap for her. But I got to see it first.
Speaker 7 (01:12:05):
Yeah, she was never her prime, wasn't very good. I
don't like like Chris Christmas one hundred thousand times better
than Nicky Bella ever was.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
Wait what I don't know, I just I've never thought
Nicky Bella was very good and I don't need to
see her in Funny twenty five at all.
Speaker 7 (01:12:32):
And like I just a just trying to make her
end and it's like like she was some.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
I don't know she was.
Speaker 7 (01:12:40):
She was championed a couple of times in the time
when women's dressing was a fucking joke. Like, yeah, she's
not at all Ondigulus's level. It's ridiculous.
Speaker 6 (01:12:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
I granted that change that they had in the ring
on Monday, not not the verbal back and forth but
the actual when it actually got physical that they had.
It wasn't very confidence expiring it. It looked very slow. Yeah,
it is not gonna be good.
Speaker 7 (01:13:09):
No, I mean.
Speaker 6 (01:13:12):
There's yeah, there's no reason to even put it on
nick Bella.
Speaker 7 (01:13:15):
This is not gonna be good. And why yeah, and
why why on pay per view? Mm hmm? And like
dom Aj isn't.
Speaker 1 (01:13:24):
Right? Like what the fuck? Like did they just completely
forget about how fucking over Aj Styles was in France
last year at Backlash. Yeah, and they don't capitalize on
that and bring him back on the show this year? Yeah,
I'm aj. Hell domin Aj should have absolutely probably replaced
(01:13:48):
fucking Seamus and Rousseph. Yeah, Seamus Roussef could have been
on the go Home Raw and we could be getting
domin Aj on the p l E.
Speaker 6 (01:13:58):
No no tag titles uh at all.
Speaker 7 (01:14:03):
Match? Yeah, one world only match with four world titles
only one.
Speaker 6 (01:14:11):
Like but Cody's filming street and then.
Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Only one match featuring feature SmackDown people. This is pretty
much an all Raw show minus scene in logan, Paul, Yeah,
unless they unless they add a last minute match this Friday.
Other than that, Yeah, this is damn near like Jesus
would this throwback to the original brand split?
Speaker 7 (01:14:35):
Yeah, Jesus Rie. Yeah, it's lean times.
Speaker 6 (01:14:45):
Hm hmm.
Speaker 7 (01:14:46):
Yeah wa title.
Speaker 6 (01:14:52):
Not not to Nikki Bell now, but you know, good
for her for competing. You know, she she changed women's wrestling,
remember that?
Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:15:07):
Change?
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Is it always for the better? Yep?
Speaker 6 (01:15:12):
Yeah, let's move on.
Speaker 7 (01:15:16):
As like that strange wordy.
Speaker 6 (01:15:21):
Speaking of street Fighter, then the next guy is gonna leave.
He's gonna be Roman Reigns. He's gonna be leaving after
this match, though, is he's gonna take some time off
and go do his Street Fighter unless his stuff is
already filmed and in the end, that's why he's here. Now,
but I don't think so. I think he still has
some stuff the film, so I could see after this
(01:15:45):
match and him dipping out for a while. But I
I think he's I think he's gonna win the feud.
Speaker 10 (01:15:53):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:15:54):
I I think uh they should have his shoes on
a pole, you know, sneakers on a pole match, you know,
Roman Reins versus the shoe La Fala, the the tribal thief.
Was there any other names?
Speaker 7 (01:16:10):
What?
Speaker 1 (01:16:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:16:15):
Yeah, I was saying if there's any other names they mentioned,
because I think I do think it's funny comes out
and Bronserene has both his shoes like around his neck.
But it seems like Roman Reigns gets his ass whooped,
his things taken from him, and then he has to
fight for him back. You know, we just saw this
with the uh uh man was Itala or whatever that's
(01:16:38):
around his neck?
Speaker 7 (01:16:41):
The yeah?
Speaker 11 (01:16:42):
Well yeah, yeah, yes, well we don't forget. We also
had a feud over a friendship bracelet earlier. Also, yeah,
a lot a lot of feuds about club or accessories.
Speaker 6 (01:16:55):
Accessories that can be turned into products on ww shops
on dot com.
Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
Yep, Unfortunately you cannot do that with the shoe. La
Fallow because.
Speaker 6 (01:17:06):
Nikeeah, yeah, you know what don't doesn't Nike have? Like
would that'd be cool they had like a Roman reigns edition.
Speaker 7 (01:17:15):
I thought, I think he.
Speaker 1 (01:17:18):
Has to deal with brand with Jordan's brand, right, a
personal which is underneath Nike.
Speaker 6 (01:17:24):
Yes, huh.
Speaker 7 (01:17:28):
Maybe coming soon to uh.
Speaker 6 (01:17:32):
Near you.
Speaker 1 (01:17:33):
Yeah, but yeah, but I do think his deal was
like specifically with brand Jordan's. Yeah, I think come out
from it.
Speaker 6 (01:17:41):
I don't know, but after this match, he like takes
Bronze and Reid's shoes like that, and now that just
becomes the thing, like now he has his shoes, like
what the fuck? It'd be cool though if he took
the When he does get his shoes back, you know,
he goes over to Paul Hayman and gets them back,
and I could see Paul Hayman I'm wearing around his
neck during the match. But yeah, he could like auction
(01:18:04):
those off then those sneakers, I mean, I bet they
would go for a lot of money being involved in
a shoe lefalla storyline. But that'd be cool.
Speaker 7 (01:18:17):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:18:18):
Yeah, I think this is a pretty good match, even
though I don't. I don't think we're gonna see the
the sunami splash. They've been protecting that pretty well with Bronson,
So I think Roman's gonna get the the w over him.
I don't think he's gonna land a tsunami on him.
(01:18:41):
I think we're gonna get a pretty big ass spear.
Speaker 7 (01:18:44):
You know.
Speaker 6 (01:18:44):
I could see a Superman punched from the top rope
knock him off before he gets up there. But I'm
sure it'll be a good match. I'm sure it will be.
It's just a singles match. Paul Haymen' is gonna be there.
We don't have what's his name, bron Breaker at all
(01:19:06):
in the card, so remember that. Yeah, he'll pop his
head up somewhere. If it's not here.
Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
Working matches, He's gonna pop up in somebody's match.
Speaker 6 (01:19:21):
Yeah, yeah, you're not. You're not not flying bron Breaker
all the way to fucking France, right, Like what you
you're taking Bronson and and Seth and Paul. You're not
taking me? No, No, you're staying here. Yeah, I doubt that.
I'm pretty sure he'll show up, you know, and I
don't Honestly, I should have brought up before, but like,
(01:19:44):
you know, what, do you guys think the chances of
brock Listeners showing up, you know with Johnson and Logan Paul,
you know that that's possible as well, Like.
Speaker 1 (01:19:55):
This comes broke it down. It's like broke it down.
God depends on where it falls on the car. I
don't think Bros Is gonna interfere unless unless that matches.
Speaker 6 (01:20:06):
Yeah, exactly, Like it's it's just that this card is
so stale, man, like somebody there has to be some
sort of surprise, you know, either a turn or somebody
shows up, Like I don't know something because this card
is it sucks, like it's not the best, Like it
(01:20:29):
really isn't, dude, Like I'm not fucking excited for Becky
versus Nikki Bella. I'm not excited for Shamus versus Rusive.
You know, you know, I mean give her a take
Roman versus Bronson. Uh, but I'm pretty damn sure unless
there's unless we do get some Shenanigans that you know,
bron Breaker shows up and it's just a d Q
(01:20:50):
and then Nana's just beating But then what's the point, right,
you know, just beating down Roman rains wet the thing,
you'renna take his shoes again? Then we don't see him
for a while because he gets a beat down so
bad they get tsunami splashed like five times. Then we
don't see Roman for a while. I don't want to
go that.
Speaker 1 (01:21:07):
I highly Yeah, personally, I kind of doubt that Roman's
gonna lose this match, just because we know Romans ultimate
target is Seth. It's Seth Rollins in the world everyweight championship,
right So right now, Bronson is a stepping stone in
that path, and the main reason why he's going after
(01:21:27):
Bronson is because Bronson begetting them four shoes. So obviously
he got to link back on Bronson and settle that
before he can move on to the next step, which
will probably be bron Breaker and their clash of spears
and which he'll overcome that and then all that will
(01:21:48):
be left is Seth Rollins. So to me, it's just
a matter of what's the timetable in this journey. I
think the path is already laid out, and I'm pretty
sure Creative probably already has some idea of what timetable
they're working with, whether this is all gonna culminate as
Survivor series or culminate at the Rumble next year or what.
(01:22:14):
But that's in my eyes, I think that's where we're heading.
So this is just step one. He's gonna win, he
gonna get his link back. Shoe la Falaw's gonna die.
Ronson will move on to something else, maybe being just
the lackey or I hate that for him to because
(01:22:36):
I feel like he could be doing much better. But
maybe they'll drop the the Shoelafala and tribal thief thing
with this feud and he'll go back to being the
Dean of Administrations for TSU also known as Sunami State University.
Speaker 6 (01:22:55):
Shoe no man.
Speaker 1 (01:22:57):
Yeah, I still wish they'd have ran with that much more.
That's the one thing I hate about that, fucking uh
him getting injured at that in that War Games match
last year, because remember when they had it and they
had them all due the intros like they were college
like it was Sunday night football. Yeah, and Bronson Reid
did the whole thing. Yeah, Bronson reed to know me
(01:23:18):
State University. I was like, there's money in that ship.
There's fucking money in that. You come out with a
TSU collegiate Tsunami State University shirt. I'm buying that ship.
Speaker 7 (01:23:33):
Thinking about that the other day I was thinking about
that the other day. If he hadn't got hurt, Uh,
he would have just.
Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
Continued to be lacking number three and Bloodline two point zero.
Speaker 7 (01:23:45):
I think the best thing that happened.
Speaker 1 (01:23:48):
I don't know, maybe maybe not, I mean maybe when
he got hurt, But yeah, I really thought him and
Jacob could have been something. I think him Jacob could
have been an absolute monster tag team. They could have. Honestly,
Bloodline two point zero might have had more leg more
(01:24:12):
runway had he not gotten injured.
Speaker 7 (01:24:15):
I mean that's certainly possibility.
Speaker 1 (01:24:16):
Also, I remember us all seeing him join up with
them for the Wargames match, and everybody had the same
thought that he looks so right in that grin. He
looked like the perfect fit, and Jacob was still the
heel then.
Speaker 6 (01:24:32):
Yeah, who knows, right, Like, would Jacob not have left then,
like the blood Line would have been due they would
have been unstoppable.
Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
Yeah, we probably wouldn't. Yeah, they might not have signed
what's that boy dude name, Jason Mittel, Jordan Matteo, j C.
J C. Mitea. Yeah, well the tallest stuff Tonguas might
have still gotten signed, but j C. Mitteo might not
(01:25:02):
have gotten signed if it wasn't for Bronson Ree's injury.
Speaker 7 (01:25:06):
Yeah, that's a good point.
Speaker 6 (01:25:08):
That's the guy that looks like built like Rhino, looks
like Bo Dallas, and it's tall as Taz, tall as Taz.
Yeah yeah, man, what a what a creative character. I
mean that's literally what it looks like, these Samoans, Like,
there's so many Samoans that it's just like when you
you know, when you're just creating characters and you just
(01:25:29):
don't care anymore. You just put the random and yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
God, yeah, Talla Taga is just really tall samoan Xbox.
Speaker 6 (01:25:38):
Yeah, yeah it is. It is.
Speaker 1 (01:25:45):
Do look like Xbox?
Speaker 6 (01:25:52):
Oh my god. Can you imagine a Bronco butsterer from
that fucking dude?
Speaker 1 (01:25:56):
Oh my god.
Speaker 6 (01:26:00):
Oh all right, let's go on to the oh wait
no Doyle.
Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
Oh wait yeah, yeah, yeah. A couple of things, A
couple of things.
Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
Uh, you know, you know back in the day, you
know who made the most money back in the day
was Hogan, and the guy who made the second most
money was that he was losing to Hogan.
Speaker 7 (01:26:23):
Uh So, like, I don't think that losing the Roman
range on paper view is a is a huge step
down or something for Frost read.
Speaker 2 (01:26:36):
I think it's actually probably the biggest match of his
career in the WWE.
Speaker 7 (01:26:40):
Anyway, there's no shame in.
Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
Losing the Roman Rains and uh it's weirds. This is
gonna sound Roman Range actually really really could use the win.
Does anyone know when Roman's Reigns was the last singles win.
Speaker 7 (01:26:54):
On pay per view?
Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
Wise, last singles win on pay per view? It has
to be before God, don't say it? Well, no, ship
was that? It would have been him beating Cody?
Speaker 2 (01:27:07):
Was it?
Speaker 7 (01:27:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:27:08):
Was it been beaten Cody at forty?
Speaker 7 (01:27:11):
No? I was one recently than that?
Speaker 1 (01:27:13):
Okay? Uh as a singles match?
Speaker 6 (01:27:17):
Oh, singles match?
Speaker 1 (01:27:18):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (01:27:19):
God?
Speaker 1 (01:27:21):
Lost that? Meaning of this year?
Speaker 6 (01:27:27):
Sammy's a who did.
Speaker 1 (01:27:32):
No No, No, no no, because Sammy's ann was before
forty yeah, and then had to been no because he
pretty much didn't wrestle much. He lost the he lost
the tag match when we had to blow a lone
Civil Wars this solo.
Speaker 6 (01:27:51):
It was against solo.
Speaker 1 (01:27:53):
For THEA No because that was at the raw premiere.
Oh yep, well that was the raw prem Here are
we got that?
Speaker 7 (01:28:02):
No? Some paper views.
Speaker 12 (01:28:05):
I'm getting closer, so I just I was Okay, it
was Uh, it was in November of twenty twenty three.
Speaker 7 (01:28:15):
It was when he beat l a Night and Crown Jewel.
Oh god, it's been almost two years a year, a
good year and a half, almost two years since he's
gone on paper.
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
So it's crazy as a challenge Roman range reality just
went and I think he'll get it.
Speaker 7 (01:28:34):
I think I'm sure.
Speaker 10 (01:28:35):
There'll be all kinds of uh shating against, but I'm
sure I'm sure Roman will will win at the end
of the day here, whether or not he goes away
for a couple of weeks to film whatever.
Speaker 7 (01:28:50):
You know, every nobody returns more than so. Yeah, and
I'll go away even if he wins. I ay for
three weeks and then rubber rains will be turned on.
Speaker 1 (01:29:01):
Well, you know, every time Roman reins he's back.
Speaker 2 (01:29:05):
Yeah, so no consequence. What's the effort to me that
he may be gone for a month or two after this?
Uh really doesn't matter. Let's just interern him right back
and pugging play. Yeah, And I'm sure I'm sure they
know where they're going, and I'm sure all roads will lead.
Speaker 7 (01:29:22):
The staff eventually when that happens. Remains to be seen,
of course, I don't think it maybe even Mania, but
that's the way, easy way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Roman takes.
Speaker 1 (01:29:36):
To w I think I'd be surprised if they if
they push it all the way out to Mania for
Roman versus Seth. I mean, granted, that's very a very
very possible WrestleMania match, and certainly a WrestleMania caliber match.
I'll just be surprised if they pushed it out that far.
I'm still partially somewhat of the mindset that we're gonna
(01:29:57):
get uh, Seth and Punk at Mania for the title.
I think that's again, that's my very long way out
Hail Mary booking at this point is that we're probably
that's the pack, probably going to be the match at
(01:30:17):
my Mania.
Speaker 7 (01:30:22):
It cob I.
Speaker 6 (01:30:25):
Put money on that. Yeah, that's that's a good bet
to put. All right, guys, let's move on to the
main event here. Probably the only thing that I might
be excited about watching here Seth Rollins, which is our
world heavyweight champion. It's crazy to think this is where
(01:30:46):
we are because not too long ago Seth we thought
was that with a knee injury. But here we are.
I love it. Seth Rollins World Champion ceing Punk, Jay
Usso and L A. Knight in a fatal four way match.
So basically fatal four way works like a no DQ right,
(01:31:07):
like just anything go.
Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
That's why I thought, Okay, people have it out.
Speaker 6 (01:31:12):
I mean, I think this is gonna be a fucking
sellar match. I mean we saw was it raw? I
think it was raw? Yes, that Punk L A. Knight
couldn't work together as a tag team, and and you
know J couldn't keep these guys on the same page.
And then even J couldn't take their ship. And I
(01:31:35):
mean I like it. And Seth was like, you know,
let's not let's not go beat them down. They're they're
doing it themselves. He's like, you know what he planned
the whole time was, you know, for them to demise
against themselves. But you know the thing is, as a champion,
you know, I'm thinking as if I was world champion. Yeah,
(01:31:55):
you want that these guys to to hate each other.
You want to tear each other apart, right even before
you get to the pay re view. But damn man,
like you don't even need to be pinned in this match,
and as it's gonna be hard keeping eyes on three
other guys. You know that three count can happen so quickly,
you know, Uh, I love triple threat matches, but a
(01:32:19):
fatal four way is also pretty good.
Speaker 7 (01:32:21):
You know.
Speaker 6 (01:32:22):
Uh, there's there's gonna be there's gonna be so many
people eating finishers and and getting saved because you know
these guys, how these finishers are protected. You know how
the curb stop is protected, how the GTS is protected.
You know, so I expect you know, not kickouts. We're
(01:32:43):
gonna get saves, like, you know, saves. I think it's
gonna be a great fucking match. You know, it's nice
to see three former world champions in this match. And yeah,
you know you kind of put the question mark up
there when you see Elle Knight, like where does he
fit in all this? I mean, damn, And it's not
(01:33:08):
it's not gonna happen, you know, damn well, it's not
gonna happen. But could you imagine if l A. Knight
left here with the title you know how and caused
you know, by punk you know the reason why Ellie
Knight got that title just to screw over Seth. I mean,
I highly doubt that, but that'd be funny shit. But
(01:33:29):
Ellen Knight's he's just always gonna get so close and
just never get it. I think he's just always gonna
be one of those guys. And you know, I guess
you're right, Doyle, like it's you know, Hogan is the
top drawl, right, but who also made a lot of
money was the guy he fought. And this guy, he
may not be winning a world title, but he's in
(01:33:50):
the main event of a pay per view. So you know,
as much as we thought Ellie Knight was kind of
spiraling down after losing the Unicies, that he might flounder
and disappear, I mean, this guy is still in the card.
It's only five matches and he's in the main event.
So but with that said, seth Rowns is gonna win this.
(01:34:14):
He's gonna weasel his fucking way out, man, whether it's
gonna be help from somebody in the group, whether it's
gonna be help from both of them. You know, like
we said, we didn't see braun Breaker at all on
this card. Where does he fit. There ain't no way
They're not taking him all the way to fucking France
and not using him. So we gotta factor him in.
And you know, I still believe deep down that some
(01:34:39):
point between now and Wargames, we're gonna get a fourth man.
I don't know when, but I feel it. I Mean,
you guys can call me crazy man, but I think
this year's wargames seth rons group. His core group is
gonna be involved in war games, and I just think
there's god another person involved. There can't be just the
(01:35:02):
three of them, right, Like, at some point, he's just
gonna his hands are gonna be tight, he's gonna run
out of options, but he's gonna have a plan B.
And I just want to who the fuck that's gonna be,
Ah Drake, I want to hear what your thoughts on this.
Speaker 1 (01:35:18):
He used to think that this group was gonna get
a fourth person at some point they were, you know,
because that seems how all stables are at least four people, right,
I don't think that's gonna happen with this one. I'm
I'm at the point now where I think it's just
gonna be these four with Paul Hayman as a fourth guy,
(01:35:40):
even if he's not an active wrestler. I think he's
gonna be those the three wrestlers and Paul Hayman and
that's gonna be the four. I don't know that they
need a fourth person. I think they work as is.
Seth could be the champion, And if they decide that
they want to make tag champions out Ofhnson and Braun,
(01:36:01):
they can do that. If they decide they want to
make them both the mid card champions, they can do that.
If they decide to, you know, they want Braun to
be the I C CHAMPI and you know, freaking send
Bronson over the SmackDown to snatch up the US title,
they can do that. I think it works as is.
(01:36:26):
So that's just my two cents on that. As far
as the match goes, Yeah, Seth is gonna win. It's
too soon for him to drop the title. He did
not just cash in on cmpunkin SummerSlam just to drop
it at the very next plea, So he's clearly gonna
win it. He's obviously gonna hold onto it for a
good while. So you know, the match is just more
(01:36:49):
or less about the match and how good it's gonna be,
and you know what managed manner of shenanigans are gonna
take place. I will say touch touching back to what
happened on Raw with you know, Punk in La Knight
mixing it up and not getting along very well, and
Jay trying to play the middle man until he got
(01:37:10):
sick of they shit and fucking superkick to both of them. One.
I loved it the fact that obviously he superkicked La
Knight because La Knight bumped him, but then he standing
next to Punk and next thing, you know, just Wow
lays out Punk. Two like man, fuck you too. I
love that because the left J is the one standing
(01:37:30):
tall in the ring and instead of being the one
being saved by somebody else. And Two, it's a subtle,
subtle bit of character development for Jay usso because we
remember the conversation he had with Roman earlier that night,
and Roman was basically telling him to be selfish, stop
trying to be the good guy, stop trying to be
(01:37:51):
the guy who saves everybody. He's like, Roan was like,
fuck that. Do you be selfish? See an opportunity and
fucking take it? Do I think this like, you know,
playing any kind of subtle seed for like a Jay USO.
He'll turn no, But I think we could see a
more serious and maybe a bit it'd be nice if
(01:38:11):
this if that conversation with Rowman translates to a bit
more of a serious and more aggressive jay Uso in
some aspects. Obviously, he ain't gonna give up the yeaton
because that's way too popular of a thing right now,
but it'd be cool if that could be balanced with
a certain level of seriousness from them that doesn't require
(01:38:34):
his brother getting beaten into a bloody pulp or something
for it to happen. And I'd also still appreciate that
they are still keeping jay Uso as a viable champion contender,
because for a while, it was nervous that they was
gonna drop him down to the tag division with his
brother again. And I'm glad to see that they're not
doing that.
Speaker 7 (01:38:58):
But yeah, that's the way they were gonna do that, Huh.
Speaker 6 (01:39:02):
I thought that. I'm sure thought that's the route that
they were going.
Speaker 1 (01:39:06):
Yeah. I think we all thought that was was on
the table for a while because that was kind of
the rumor.
Speaker 6 (01:39:13):
Mm hmm. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:39:20):
I have similar uh feelings to dre Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:39:25):
Just I look at this match, just my first thought
is it's way too soon for tests the title, right,
he just wanted uh And you know, after all that,
it just I just don't see them slips off on
the title as quickly, although I think it would be
awesome with the dead Like, look, I'm talking about the
unpredictability factor and like if they just fucking put it
(01:39:47):
on all A Knight here out of nowhere.
Speaker 7 (01:39:48):
Like that would be great. That'd be awesome. But I
have that's what's gonna happen.
Speaker 6 (01:39:54):
Uh.
Speaker 13 (01:39:55):
Beyond that, it kind of seemed the the l A
Knight Yeah, used to Phil Love hate triangle kind of
can't throwing each other out.
Speaker 7 (01:40:07):
And another reason I think US will retain the title, well,
it will it be a dominant win?
Speaker 6 (01:40:14):
No?
Speaker 7 (01:40:15):
Is he in a triple stack? He's pin them.
Speaker 2 (01:40:17):
No, it's gonna be weaseley stunts. He's just gonna barely
make it out alive. Uh, there's gonna be Shenanigans in
the lore. Yeah, I mean, if they're going to add
a fourth, this would certainly be a fine place to
do I'm not sure that that's gonna happen, but this
would be a great place to do that. But yeah,
(01:40:41):
I can't see any reason that they would take the
title office that's here.
Speaker 7 (01:40:50):
Yeah, I mean, will it be a fun match? Sure?
Speaker 1 (01:40:53):
Will it be?
Speaker 2 (01:40:54):
You know, kickouts and near falls and you know, just
made into the road. So yeah, sure it'll be fun.
But I just actually, i've seen no education that sets.
Speaker 1 (01:41:06):
We'll leave or whatever the hell I said.
Speaker 7 (01:41:10):
It was, Uh, we'll leave outside of Paris as still champion.
Speaker 6 (01:41:18):
Nice. Yeah, very lackluster card, you know. I I'll be honest,
I'll be at the I'll be at the beach, so
I will I might be home in time. Like if not,
then like I'll definitely catch it the very next day.
And I'm not even like upset that I'm missing it. Uh,
(01:41:40):
Like I remember I almost was gonna miss Summer Slam,
and I was like, oh, I can't miss Summer Slam.
This this this is one of the second biggest pay
per views of the year. Now it's two days. Me
trying to explain to some people a Summer Slam is
two days now, was like what, like, no, only wrestle media.
I'm like no, no, no, not no more. No.
Speaker 1 (01:42:02):
I mean I'm working this Saturday, so it'll be my
normal Saturday routine with these pos. Then when they line up,
go to the work, go to work, go to the gym,
come home and watch it.
Speaker 6 (01:42:14):
Yeah, but it's on Sunday. Man, it's on Sunday. Oh
ship it is on sand It's on Sunday. That's the thing.
I remember they announced when it was going to be
going back to Sundays, and I was not a fan,
you know. It's what I mean, like, there's these subtle
things that w W has been changing, and as.
Speaker 1 (01:42:32):
All are going back to this one.
Speaker 7 (01:42:35):
Yeah, they're going back to Sundays, right, and.
Speaker 6 (01:42:39):
I understand this one's out of the country, but they
they did say they wanted them to go, yeah, go
back to Sundays.
Speaker 1 (01:42:46):
I don't think they're gonna. I still don't think they're
gonna do that full time, just because I think Saturday
works too well for them, right especially football seasons coming.
So they're damn sure not trying to compete with the
NFL for viewers because they will lose every single time, right, Like,
(01:43:08):
especially when they're trying to trying to make this thing
work with ESPN on the freaking and draw eyes to
their products to tune in. Motherfuckers ain't gonna be tuning
in if they got to compete against Sunday Night Football
on NBC. Yeah, Sunday Night Football or random WWE pole.
I'm gonna watch football. It's like they will lose every
(01:43:31):
single time. So no, they're not. They're definitely not going
to Sundays anytime soon. This one just happens to be
on Sunday. And I think the only reason why they're
even trying to pull this one is because it's right
before the start of the regular season, so there's no
there's nothing for it to compete at to compete against,
so they can manage to squeeze this one in. Whereas
(01:43:53):
I believe, if it hasn't already, I think this weekend
is the real kickoff of the college football season because
usually the college football seasons kicks off like a week
or two before the NFL regular season starts, So that
could be another reason why they chose to put this
one a Sunday as opposed to a Saturday, because they're
(01:44:15):
not trying to Yeah, this is like.
Speaker 7 (01:44:16):
The weekend where Michigan plays East West, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:44:20):
Right, they're not trying to compete against Yeah. Yeah, they're
not trying to compete against the primetime college football games
on the kickoff weekend.
Speaker 7 (01:44:33):
East West Underwater Basket Leaving University m hm.
Speaker 6 (01:44:41):
Huh. Yeah. After this, it says there's a World's Collide
Las Vegas, and then Yeah, Russell Palooza, and then No
Mercy and then Crown Jewel Man. No, it's coming so
quickly John Soon's retirement.
Speaker 7 (01:45:04):
We don't have a location for that, do we.
Speaker 2 (01:45:07):
The final match is going to be a Saturday nine
million event, but I don't think we have a have
a location yet.
Speaker 1 (01:45:16):
I don't. Yeah, I don't think so either.
Speaker 6 (01:45:19):
Mm hm.
Speaker 1 (01:45:21):
We shall see. I guess whenever that finally comes around. Yeah,
it's interesting.
Speaker 6 (01:45:30):
Uh yeah, I got nothing to plug man, Uh, Dre
you got anything you want to plug? Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:45:38):
Nothing at the moment, just as always Instagram, dot com,
slash PCW podcast yeah, Doyle.
Speaker 2 (01:45:48):
Yeah, just I mean the disc and gives the Facebook
page like it's PCW a podcast future wrestling.
Speaker 6 (01:45:56):
Yeah. And uh for all the people who are willing
to spend thirty dollars a month for ESPN like us, Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:46:08):
You fucking fuck you are the worlds dumbest sign up
a bitch.
Speaker 14 (01:46:17):
The fact that day in and day out, for almost
six years, I improved everybody in the world that I
am the best on this microphone, and in that break
given in commentary, nobody can touch me.
Speaker 1 (01:46:30):
You are not plenty far.
Speaker 5 (01:46:35):
It's because the street puppet and we want the stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:46:42):
Your yes, talk about, your sobs, talk about job three
sixteen Obstad three sixteen says I just whipped your ass.
Speaker 1 (01:46:54):
Well, let me tell you, fucking brother.
Speaker 6 (01:46:59):
Far right New Dame.
Speaker 2 (01:47:07):
Queen praised to the tip more year, my true man,
this year, welcome to the.
Speaker 7 (01:47:13):
Top and Owen Show.
Speaker 6 (01:47:16):
Lately he just hasn't been Erry Housey.
Speaker 4 (01:47:22):
Because I'm know this.
Speaker 5 (01:47:25):
And I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:47:30):
Oh, my son, those rotten bastard.
Speaker 7 (01:47:41):
Bye bye.
Speaker 1 (01:47:41):
It's
