Speaker 1 (00:03):
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, chilling them all ages.
Welcome back to another episode of pc W podcast Championship Wrestling.
I am your host, Wayne also known as Semi Dry Chicken,
and we are back from France. Uh maybe the annoying
interrupting chance are over with for now now that we're
back in the states. I believe we're back in the States.
(00:27):
I mean, it's you can't you can't just have plan
old entrances without people chanting, uh and singing and matches
taking far, far too long because of it. But uh,
you know, let's let's get into these matches. Uh, let's
just rip into this whole fucking pay per view, shall we?
Here we go?
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Might? Okay, like it's on me now.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I want to get him all.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
I wanna get him all.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Oh ye, don't you.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Welcome back?
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Oose Andre. Pc W crew man andre Uso is on
your podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
How long did it take?
Speaker 4 (01:37):
That was a terrible fucking friends.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Dracula, Yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Got too much rolling over the rs the first.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I appreciate the trying them. Maybe maybe we got one
French guy you know that that listens to our podcast.
He goes in not so bad like this guy hit tries.
Now we're not good with our French accents. Clearly speaking
of French. Ah, I haven't had it on my stream
(02:11):
deck labeled French.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Here we go, Champanade, cave, zombie, the part, the King,
(02:33):
the King, it's if he's at about it.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Is?
Speaker 6 (02:52):
I mean, I mean you had to discover chan is
a Doyle.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Oh, I'm dying on the other end. Thank When you
send that to me and I was listening, I was like,
what the hell is this? I was like, I don't
even know what the hell this is. I click on it.
I was like, I don't know this wrestler? Is this
a wrestler? Even I started hearing the lyrics and then
(03:22):
I started dying. I was like, yes, this is perfect.
Speaker 7 (03:25):
I'm pretty sure it's the end credits to a Wes
Anderson movie.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Like, damn, can I use this in like a bumper
or something? This is this is nice great classic?
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Man, So how are you guys doing? How is your
labor day? Uh? How is your labor day?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Man?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Useful?
Speaker 8 (03:53):
Yeah, I've been working like a motherfucker for the last
two weeks and I'm just gonna continue in the next week.
So I'm using every leak. Last one of my days
off to just rest right now?
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Nice h Doyle Man, how is your How was your
Labor Day vacation?
Speaker 7 (04:08):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (04:09):
It was also RESTful, I guess.
Speaker 7 (04:12):
Sunday before the show, I went on and did a
little day drinking, which is kind of rare for me.
So I had to rewatch the show because I didn't
really remember it very much. And the good thing I
did because I think I actually thought that Nicki Bella
Jesus Becky match wasn't that bad boy?
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Was irob.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Oh Man? I can't wait to get into that one.
Uh yeah. I had time to go down to Ocean
City for a bit and went to the beach, went
to Aestic island, saw some wowse.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
Ocean City, Ocean City, New Jersey or Ocean City Maryland, Maryland.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
By far, by far the superior Ocean City.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yes, by far. Clean, cleaner boardwalks, you know, homeless people
can't you know, have sex underneath the boardwalk because it
sits so low. You know, it's nice, not a lot,
you know.
Speaker 8 (05:10):
Yeah, So where there's a will, there's a way, time
to think about how to figure how to do it.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
So yeah, right, the season is just about summer's just
spot over. Like I went swimming for a little bit,
I finished my book, I got one last sunburn. Uh
you know, I went to the Haunted House on the boardwalk.
I saw tons of wrestling memorabilia on the boardwalk. Of course,
shirts of course, like wrestling shirts galore, way overpriced, way
(05:39):
way overpriced. Uh you know, made it, made it back
here in time to show the p l E at
my house, and like six or seven people show up.
Well I didn't realize how early it was going to be.
It was like one o'clock, but I had everybody to
come over like seven, you know, and uh, I guess
(06:00):
with like ads and whatnot. It just I was like
holy shit. Like we go on to like almost like eleven.
Uh yeah, maybe I won't be doing that again. I
was starting a little bit earlier next time. So so
and a lot of people who came to the party
are listeners of the show. Uh you know now that
I caved with somebody else and got ESPN plus, So
(06:23):
I'll be continuing having pls at my house. The tradition
will go on, so guaranteed. Uh, whatever date there is
a wrestling pl my door will be open.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
And then I had labor Day with the family next day.
It was pretty good, you know. And then and then
you know what, I'm sitting there in the afternoon having
a picnic with the family. I get a message here.
Didn't know this either, Monday Night Raw. It's going on
in the middle of the afternoon. I'm like, fucking nice, Hey,
I ain't go home. Start Monday Night Raw right away.
(07:00):
So I was done by like eight o'clock. I wrapped
it up. I was ready to go to bed, get
ready to go to work, go back to work. I
was like, this was a pretty nice weekend, pretty nice
little labor day vacation.
Speaker 8 (07:11):
So but ulved and you caved and got unlimited.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
No I no, I caved by how do I how
do I say this piggybacking off of somebody else, reaching
out find out who had it? What's it gonna take
to get my ass in that contract with you? You
know I'm not paying full.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
Price, You're doing less down with the revolution on.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
It gonna be a fucking pirate, huh. You know who's
our captain to find out holding Stephan McMahon's our captain, y'all.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Can have that.
Speaker 8 (07:55):
I'm holding out that YouTube TV is going to strike
a deal with ESPN.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
I guess Hulu.
Speaker 8 (08:02):
Hulu's got a deal struck with them, Which bigot.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Who owns Hulu? Disney who owns the ESPN Disney Wow negostiation.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Yeah, I'm surprised. I wasn't even a thing right.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Yeah, like we said, I mean packages, deals, they're all
going to change within the next few months. People are
adjusting me new deals there. There was just a recent
one I guess for Disney Hulu HBO and now that's
now switched to the Hulu Disney ESPN. So all types packages.
I was going around work assing people, like, you know,
(08:40):
out of curiosity, like do you have ESPN? If you do,
like what got the package do you have? You know,
just weird. They're so just grandfathered in old package deals.
So my guess is like me, Yeah, either either make
the decision, you know, if you got a good deal now,
and camp out wait for a better one to come along.
(09:01):
Sometimes they do, sometimes they do. Sometimes you're like draining
and just hang on what you got, you know.
Speaker 7 (09:08):
God, Yeah, yeah, I'm holding I'm holding that hope that
exccinity will figure out something deal. Uh So I'm not
going to purchase anything in the meantime, because I.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Know it's I do. Like an hour later, I'm going
to email like, well, we reached the deal and you.
Speaker 7 (09:28):
But at the same time I'm probably gonna be uh.
I guess I gotta wait to see if they're available
via traditional pay per view still, because they are, I
have especially a twenty first century black box, so I'll
just watch it there. But if not, I'm going to
be hanging the Jolly Roger out. I think I can
(09:50):
cover in one of my eyes and talking.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
We're talking like it.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Is, oh knows.
Speaker 8 (09:57):
So maybe at the very least this time around, I'm
test the VPN capabilities of my web browser.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
And see if I can access it through Netflix.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
I've watched SmackDown one day.
Speaker 7 (10:15):
When they've you know, taped it in Europe at two
in the afternoon and not shown it here. It's still
airs live in the rest of the world, like like
it does here when raw ye, so I've successfully watched it.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Now.
Speaker 7 (10:27):
I don't know if it like only leaves you half
an hour for free and I'm watching to pay for
more time.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
I've only watched it to see if I could do
it and then really sit down and watch it for
any length of time.
Speaker 8 (10:39):
Yeah, I may do a trial run, just like pull
up the browser, turn on the VPN, sign into Netflix
and see what type of menu it gives me. If
it gives me like the full WWE menu, then I'll
guess I should be good, probably for the Wrestle paloser,
but we'll see.
Speaker 7 (10:59):
Yep, you can find it if you can find its
people on VPN, and I think what is that five bucks.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
A month or something like that.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
That still.
Speaker 8 (11:07):
Yeah, there's still a ton of them out there, like
Nord VPN and stuff like that, I mean, which are good,
but I think, as I said before, you're with those,
you're kind of limited to your PC or your phone.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Or something like that.
Speaker 8 (11:21):
If you if you're somebody who wants to watch you know,
on your big TV like most people would do, then
you got to figure out something else like a firestick
or that has or some way to you know, backload
or you know, third party some sort of yeah, some
sort of app or something of VPN, which I don't know.
(11:43):
I think you can do that with Android TV, but
it may depend on what type of TV that you
have and what type of you know, overlay or os
they have up there. I've heard some people say that
they can do them with the uh the Walmart on
brand Android TVs. Apparently those you can uh load third
(12:07):
party apps on. I've got a Sony Bravia, which is
a bit more high end, so I don't know. Those
may be a little bit more you know, secured against
stuff like that. And even with that, just loading third
party apps like that, I'm somewhat skeptical about.
Speaker 7 (12:27):
I think just getting a witch or a magician or
something like that to help out.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Yeah, we know.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
If you don't subscribe to ESPN Plus within the next month,
we'll just call you a.
Speaker 6 (12:40):
You are a smelly pirate hooker.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
M M.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I found a bunch of pirate.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
I'll change my interest. I'll change my intro music from
Jay Uso to Kyrie says music.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Was that of the caravan?
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Who was he? Who was what was it? Paul? Yes,
he's a swinging and.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Oh my god, yeah right, some of Vince must have
just got done fucking dodgy. It's great, it's it's funny.
Speaker 7 (13:26):
And then wasn't that one of the incest storylines? It's
amazing that there were more than one.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure he was working.
Speaker 9 (13:35):
I'm pretty sure he had a sister, a famed sister
he was involved with, but that was like that was forever,
No I remember him.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Paul Bill interesting fellow.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
I'm almost certainly he had a he had.
Speaker 7 (13:53):
A relationship with his sister and all going.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 7 (13:58):
I believe that too, And I think I think when
they went pg is just kind of fizzled out and died.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
This may never mentioned it.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
All right, beginning of this episode. I do not have
a thumbnail picked out, but I will try to find
one before the episode is done. Try to find a
good one, a good one. Figure out what I'm gonna do.
Somebody's got to have a goofy looking face somewhere. It's
always John Cena or Paul Haymon or seth Rawlins. I'll
(14:30):
find somebody, Yeah, guys. Clash in Paris Tenants record was
thirty and forty three, and the Paris a lot of
defansee arena. I'm pretty sure that's probably not how I
say it, but the law defense arena. Uh. I'll tell
(14:55):
you what, man. As soon as this show started, the
crowd immediately hijacked it, immediately, just singing and but we're
accustomed to this when whenever it's outside of the country.
I still think to this day, the biggest pop I've
heard outside of the country was when they were in
(15:16):
Puerto Rico with Bad Bunny. Maybe one of the biggest
out of the country, you know what I mean, like,
oh yeah, involved, the crowd involved, you know, I mean,
just it was. It was so intense and.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Yeah, and his music worked like it's his own song.
Speaker 8 (15:34):
But it's like a perfect w W interest theme. So
soon as it hit, everybody immediately responded to it. And
then the whole fucking arena singing that song. Right, oh yeah, right,
that ship was let as fuck.
Speaker 7 (15:49):
But uh, speaking of the crowd, I don't want to
harm on this too much, but they later on the
show will announce that it's the biggest gate ever arena,
right and beating Taylor.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Swift, and oh we beat Tailor Swifts. And this is
the kind of that I stunk in my crawl a
little bit, and I went and dug around a little bit.
Speaker 7 (16:08):
Now, any any financials for the showff as far as
I can FINDE. But that Taylor Swift tour was the
highest grossing tour of all time. And if you remember,
while it was going on that the people the complaints
about the ticket prices were inescapable. Now she had forty
(16:32):
five thousand people in that building and w W said
they had thirty.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
So I don't know if that speaks to how crazy expensive.
Speaker 7 (16:42):
Ww E tickets are at this point that they were
able to make up fifteen thousand.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
People for the highest grossing.
Speaker 7 (16:50):
Concert event of all time, right, Like, this just blows
me in my mind that I didn't give us a number,
so who knows what the truth is?
Speaker 3 (16:58):
And I also didn't mention that Taylor's.
Speaker 7 (17:00):
Did get forty five thousand in that building, but Johnper
did it four days in a row, which is not
something that our friends in Stfford, Cannickant were able to do.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Sorry, I just stuck in my crawl and all this.
Speaker 7 (17:13):
You know how fucking expensive this kid is, if it's true, God,
to make up for fifteen thousand more people just seems
crazy to me.
Speaker 8 (17:27):
Confirmed Doyle's was swifty Hey, yeah, immediately out.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Yeah, I mean, MGF can't even like fucking Mark you
fucking swift et.
Speaker 7 (17:44):
Yeah, I'm more of a mind the Siris guy.
Speaker 8 (17:48):
I really wanted another truths Oh okay, Team Hillary Duffel
in the USA.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
That's all I coming in like a wrecking ball. I
got agree with Dre team Hillary damn Ye.
Speaker 8 (18:02):
Only one that only one that didn't get into no
bullshit m m. The only one that came out of
Disney semi normal.
Speaker 7 (18:11):
Or maybe she's the only one that figured out how
to cover it up. Yeah right right, Wow, anyway, enough
swift talk.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
We'll be talking more about Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
No, no, definitely not.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
Oh yeah, football seasons coming were about to get overloaded
with the swift to talk.
Speaker 7 (18:37):
Yeah no, fuck yourself, all right, Yeah, let's get into
this paper view.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Where was I before I was Swift Heed?
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Yeah? Thirty three. We did have another match added to
the card. That was the Wyatt six Joe Gacy Dexter Limus.
It's the Tag team ww Tag from Champions versus the
Street Profits, Angela Dawkins and Montese Ford Trey. You want
to take it away at this pay per view?
Speaker 3 (19:13):
Sure?
Speaker 8 (19:15):
So match number one so the Tribal Thief versus the
Tribal Chief Bronson read versus Roman Reigns, the Shoe Lafalla
versus the Tulafalla. I gotta say this was a great
(19:35):
match to kick off the pl with I will give
him that, Like, Bronson looked like a million bucks in
there with Roman. Roman did everything he could to make
Bronson look like a legit powerhouse and like a legitimate
threat to him. I mean, Broman every time he would
get some offense on Bronson would shut it down. Country
(19:57):
had a counter for practically everything he do. Beat the
shit out of Roman range from pillar to post, and
they got a good amount of time to cook in
that match.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
I don't know exactly how long the match went. We
looked that up real quick.
Speaker 8 (20:12):
Twenty two minutes. Yeah, so, I mean that's third longest
on the car. So they got him, gave him plenty
of time to work with. Of course Roman won eventually,
but from bell to bell this was a great match
of which afterwards we got a lot of shenanigree.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Yeah I said that. The masses twenty minutes say after
match was that?
Speaker 8 (20:46):
Yeah, yeah, all the shenanigans after the match from Roman,
from Paul checking on Bronson and Roman getting up to him,
to Paul Hayman kissing Roman's ass and saying.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
Oh you're my travel chief, I love you, YadA YadA,
and trying to.
Speaker 8 (21:02):
Present the shoes back to him, just for him to
get guillotined and choked out, which led to what then
bron and Bronson coming in beating the fuck out of Roman.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
You forgot about you forgot about.
Speaker 7 (21:17):
What I think is the most dangerous uh part of
this entire pay per view uh, and that includes the
Donnybrook match, is that Romans find still on the sneakers
and throws them in the crowd.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Like, how how did would there were not reports that people.
Speaker 7 (21:31):
Getting uh have to having to be hospitalized because.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Of the fight for that one.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
Yes, exactly that that was? It was what is he crazy?
You see? You tell the asshole? Did you see this
guy at the US Open steel a autograph from a
killed or something like that?
Speaker 7 (21:50):
Like, I can't imagine what's going on here trying to
get to the fucking Roman reigns Jordan's friends.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Man, Well, you know what, I think?
Speaker 1 (21:59):
So quick they saved them.
Speaker 8 (22:02):
If anything saved them, it might be the fact that
it was only one. Now, maybe if he had thrown
the second one out there, you might have seen whoever
got that first set and the second shoe, they might
have fought to the death to complete the set.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Yeah, shoe. Yeah, but she wants broke bunch of orbital, right.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
But the French layover so easy though, you know, like, hey,
give me that shoe, I'll give it.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
To French French ront fighters that too.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
That I have my own.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
More and more, they probably got mad because they weren't
the right colorway, like I don't even want this ship.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
More and more like these entrances, it depends on like
the TV that you're watching them on, if you're watching
them in four K, you know, when they use the
like it was that eight K for them to come
in it. I swear to god, man, it looks like
I'm watching a two K video game. That's what it
feels like sometimes with the lightning and stuff. And it's
(23:13):
not every arena, but there's some arenas with the entrances.
This looks so clean and crisp, you know, it's like, damn,
this almost like a almost looks like a video game
nobody else just made.
Speaker 8 (23:24):
Okay, Well, speaking of entrance, I guess one thing we
do need to touch on is what I think you
brought it up du All in the discord when the
show started, is the fact that we actually have some
effort in the entrance way this year. Always in the
stage set up. Those are the monitors that they stacked
(23:47):
up in order to project an image of the Eiffel Tower.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
Granted probably didn't cost so much.
Speaker 8 (23:54):
They probably had those monitors sitting in the warehouse somewhere
not doing shit from when they broke down the old
big as we're all set.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
But still they tried. I give them that.
Speaker 7 (24:05):
I mean, I'm sure part of it is is T
K O. H. Nickel and diamond Ship. So, like, one
of the things I definitely miss about the Vince era
is some of those sets, you know, the sets, the
pay per view specific sets. Uh, you know TLC would
have ladder, it's all over the place, you know, like
(24:25):
and then it's just that kind of a little detail.
I'm sure it was expensive, you know, and I'm sure
one of the first things when they opened the Bucks
and says, well we can we can lose millions just
by doing a generic screen and every crow right, they
don't do that.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Yeah, when they don't do that, it's kind of refreshing.
Speaker 8 (24:44):
Yeah, yeah, definitely that Yeah, Because one was that will
forever stick in my mind was Bad one of Bad
Blood pols where they had the big giant drops of
blood hanging.
Speaker 6 (24:56):
Ah.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Yeah, I'll forever remember that one. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:02):
But yeah, nowadays it's just all right, stack some screens,
get the graphic team up there, all right, make an image,
put it up there.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
Done.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah, man, it's yeah, it looks so nice, especially with
like John Cena's engines and stuff, just with the proper
lightning with some of these entrances. Yeah, I loved it.
Big Eiffel Tower. Nice.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:25):
So but back to the match, Yeah, bron and Bronson
put the beat down on Roman, spears tsunamis everybody trying
to referee, trying to call out there, stop them being
completely useless. And then Jay comes down to help his brother,
(25:47):
just for him to get that work too, and Roman
laid out on the stretcher, and then Bronson really comes
back and give one more Tsunami to grow on. So
presumably Roman is and taken out and off of television
again so he can return again.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
At some point. It's really getting ridiculous with him. He
comes back, he does.
Speaker 7 (26:13):
Maybe two promos, has a match gets beaten down, my
heels and it's gone for a month or two, does
this big return rinsed repeat. It's just like can we
either get him around for a couple of matches in
a row maybe or something like.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
It's just so formula.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Definitely at this point it's if he's up there, he's returned.
It's not just Roman's just here. No, he's got to
return all the time.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Yeah, I mean it just matched. I think definitely.
Speaker 7 (26:51):
Uh, it's great, a great opener and received all of
I think we kind of made a checklist of things
that this match maybe do achieved, and it was some
of them were contradictory a little bit, like we thought that, uh,
you know, they might write Roman off, but we all
thought Roman would win st I think we kind of
had a the lemma as to how that would happen.
(27:12):
I think they hit.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
I mean in terms of even though.
Speaker 7 (27:14):
I just complained about us the cycle of Roman, the
way they handled everything was great. I thought, I really like, uh,
when Bronxton Raids starts playing somebody out with with five
six seven whatever in his tsunamis uh, he's real great
with the whole Like.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Okay, I'm leaving, I'm leaving halfway down the ramp. Well
now I'm running back. I'm getting up there, and it's
jumping a gun, you.
Speaker 7 (27:40):
Know, like it's almost uncomfortable, which is good, you know, Like,
and he really looked like he belonged in the ring
with Roman reigns, which is no small feet.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
You know.
Speaker 7 (27:52):
I think I said something about, you know who made
the second most money back in the back in the
Golden eight Days, in which the guy was wrestling Halkogan, right,
so like to be it's just there's no Tamman lives
in the Roman range, and being in the range just
at all with Roman rains is huge, huge opportunity, and
I think he absolutely made the most of it.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Yeah, yeah, he looked great.
Speaker 8 (28:18):
Yeah, and not just being in the ring with Roman,
but being in there and looking good, Yeah, looking strong
and powerful. Like how many people that we see encounter
a Superman punch. Most people just eat that shit. Whereas
he actually had a spot in the match where he
countered the Superman punch, caught Roman and put him into
a death valley driver.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Was a pretty cool spot and encounter. But Hop and Wayne,
what were your thoughts on the match?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Man, Like this guy got to go with Roman for
twenty two minutes. You know, some people who think that
Bronson can't put on an interesting match, Yeah, he can
with the right guy, and that right guy was Roman.
This you know, this night great rub for him. You know,
dancing in the ring with Roman. Not many guys get that,
(29:06):
especially a one on one. We're getting a lot of
tag matches. But I think Doyle brought it up last
episode with women was the last time Roman got a
singles match. You know, it's been a minute, you know,
it's it's been a minute since he's had a singles match.
Uh So I was pretty satisfied with this match, dude,
Like it told the whole not just the match, but
(29:28):
afterwards we got you know, it told in such the
amount of time that we had. It told a lot.
It filled in a lot of gaps of stories. It
wrote Roman reigns off. It elevated, you know, once again,
it elevates the group, you know. Uh and for the
match itself, I mean I was impressed. You know, the
(29:49):
way he handles himself in the ring, and I'm talking
about Bronson, Like the way he was able to pick
up Roman and give him that sit down power bomb
made it very believable, Like, you know, he's ready to
put his ass away taking that massive Samoa drop from
the top rope. But you know, at the end, you know,
we just got the spears of one, two three. But uh,
(30:13):
you know, like Doyle says, it's even the guy who
loses is still gonna make money, and not just that
he's his popularity is elevating because I don't think a
few years ago, you know, Bronson was unemployed. He got
let go, I don't think he was ever going to
come back to the company. And when he did, and
I think he really started to gain a lot of
(30:35):
momentum once he started tying himself with the bloodline somehow,
you know, once he got into war games, and I
feel like his career is finally going.
Speaker 10 (30:43):
Somewhere, you know it it's rare started a little Yeah,
I think I thought it a little bit before that, right,
but like he kind of started to pick up that
momentum really when he went after Seth Rollins.
Speaker 8 (30:57):
Once he started inducting people in the Tsunamis eight, it
just comes to the ring and just hitting multiple tsunamis,
and I think Seth was the first one.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
And they remember he had the feud with braun Stroman, Yeah,
where they were going at it.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Yeah, I remember that for that short amount of time.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
That was cool.
Speaker 8 (31:15):
Yeah, Yeah, they made the mistake of making braun Stroman
go over. It should have been Bronson, but uh, you know,
they did have that, and then he kind of got
he got affiliated with the bloodline, and that's when we
saw him in Jacob's side by side and thought that
was perfect.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
But yeah, it's it. Definitely he had that momentum going
before he fucked his foot up and wargames.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Oh yeah, dude, Yeah, I imagine where he'd be if
he didn't injure his foot. You know, actually, you know
it could be for the best too, because maybe he
wouldn't be where he is now, you know, aligning himself
in the picture with Seth Rollins being on TV every
Monday night, being on p Elei's now given the fact
(32:02):
that how many people are on the roster. I we're
only getting six matches, you know, out of like a
four or five hour show. I for after the match,
as soon as they removed that top cover on the table,
I was like, Okay, somebody's probably gonna go through that.
And then Roman, you know, he got the shoes back, which,
by the way, clever tying all the shoes together and
(32:23):
make them look like a fucking necklace. That Paul Hayman
wore out great. You know, just like I said, they
were gonna come out with the shoes and I was like,
is he gonna get him back? You know, is he
gonna just like take the shoes back? And yeah, we
were right, he's gonna take the shoes back. We've seen,
we saw him get a you know a little bit
of revenge on Paul Hamon got to choke his ass out.
But the second he stood up on that table, I
(32:47):
was like, why why, why why do you gotta go
to the table. And I was like, you know, worst breaker.
You know if we we mentioned that too last episode,
like you know, you're not gonna fucking fly out every
everybody else but not Braun and not you know, use him.
So this is exactly the perfect spot for him. And
it was great dude spearing him through that table and
(33:08):
and then the students, the multiple tsunami splashes and and Doyle,
I agree. The the they get me sometimes, man, Like
they're walking up the ram, I'm like, oh, they're done.
And then I even get up like okay, I'm gonna
go get a drink or something, and then they're like,
you know, Wade bears.
Speaker 6 (33:23):
Like oh, my god, he's coming back.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
We'll go ahead's stop him. And there's like ten men
trying to stop him, and then they can't, you know,
so they just get the hell out of his way, and.
Speaker 7 (33:34):
You know, and yeah, I mean he reminds me of Yeah,
which I guess is kind of a pretty obvious comparison.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah like that.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah, And you know what, though, to be honest, to
have a guy with that fucking size to like trust
that he's gonna jump off the top rope and do
it multiple times and not kill you, you know what
I mean, Like, there's a lot of trust in that
because that's that's a big board right there.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
You know. I loved him doing it on the on
the backboard too.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
That great.
Speaker 8 (34:07):
Uh yeah, dude, you know I And for him to
be willing to take the big bumps himself, not just
be the one to dish him out because exactly someone
drop off the top rope from Roman as well.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
You're seeing him take a bunch of big spots.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
And then you know, the for me, the hilariousness of
Roman like fucking strapped to that gurney or whatever, and
then them just beating the ship out of him while
I still strapped and like, you know, I always think
it's funny, like when when the face wrestler is all
like getting medical help. They're in like the backboard and everything,
(34:48):
and they're they're in the little next strap thing and
they're on their way of like something's just like rolling
them out, and all of a sudden, the heel comes
back and like pushes them just fucking pushes the card
over or just rams them into a wall, and just
like you know, I always think it's funny. It's it's
dick because like your hands are tied your next tide
and you're just gonna like tip me over on my face.
(35:09):
Like come on, dude, as long.
Speaker 8 (35:12):
As you don't do something reckless like Big Show when
he slammed Ray mystereo into the post and dropped him
on his head.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
I've seen that video so many times it blows my mind.
And like he just picks him up like he's nothing,
dude strapped to the backboard, just slams against that ring post.
Like if you haven't seen that, like google that Raymond studio,
his ass handed to him by Big Show.
Speaker 8 (35:32):
Uh, and then let Ray go and Ray falls smack
on his face onto the floor. I'm pretty sure. I
think Ray got a concussion from that.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Why am I laughing? That's fucked up?
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (35:48):
Yeah, And I did you know, we had talked about
how Seth's cronies were gonna, you know, whitch match would
they effect or with you know, would they affects both
the Seth match and then Bronson reidmatch or whatever.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
And I think they did a good job.
Speaker 7 (36:00):
Of kind of even though it kind of made things
maybe a tad predictable, you know, then the great way
to get rid.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Of them also, you know, for the from the main event.
Uh So I thought that was kind of clever.
Speaker 7 (36:13):
And it's always good when they were able to, you know,
matches depend on other matches.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Or or or related to each other somehow, you know
what I mean. That's that's always a good thing. I
think when they're able to to do that like that, synergy.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
Definitely that.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
I saw a meme today of it was Roman Reigns
and Paul Hammond in the hospital together playing video games
the New two K. You were sitting in like two
hospital beds. I was like, dude, AI R is fucking crazy.
So someone comes to wrestling, Uh yeah, man, that's all
(36:53):
I got for this match. It ate up a lot
of time. It ate up almost like like the first
like fifty minutes of the show.
Speaker 8 (37:03):
Yeah, huge chunk. I was kind of surprised Roman choked
him out. I knew Roman was gonna do something to him.
I thought he was just gonna like turn around to him,
turn back and Superman punch him and just lay him out.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
Right.
Speaker 8 (37:17):
But as if for that match and it's aftermath, moving
on to the second match of the night, which was
the very disappointing and frustrating The Borderlands for Brawl, also
(37:41):
known as the tag team match for the WWE Tag
Team Championship, which saw the Wye Six, a team of
Joe Gacy and Dexter Loomis, coming out to defend against
the Borderlands Minions that the street profits have been reduced
too coming out commercials.
Speaker 7 (38:04):
See what right, it's not enough fucking commercials and adds
oncovery everything. We need to turn the entrances into ads.
I mean, I think we've done this before, right, didn't
do it?
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (38:14):
We did it with the war Raiders, Yes, yep for
I don't remember what game it was, but yeah, they
came out and cosplay for a game once.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
Yeah, this needs to I got.
Speaker 8 (38:30):
I was hoping it wouldn't. It would have been a
one time thing with the war Raiders, but clearly it's not.
Clearly if somebody has a product that they want to
shill and they're willing to fork up the right amount
of money for it, wwe will make some of their
wrestlers put on some gear.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
And say this match was brought to you by blah.
Speaker 8 (38:50):
So, in other words, the match wasn't brought to us
because you know, motherfuckers actually earned a match or warranted
a match, or there's a reason actually behind it. It's
just nope, somebody paid for it, so YouTube motherfuckers get
to put on this gear and go out there and
have a match that will ultimately mean nothing.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
And then the add freaking you know, salt to the wound.
Speaker 8 (39:12):
Of course, the Wyatt six successfully defend, which means the
Street for Offits have now taken another l.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
I could care.
Speaker 8 (39:25):
There was nothing to else really about the match worth
talking about. The only thing to me that was even
remotely interesting or possibly interesting going forward is the fact
that they seem to be teasing a potential breakup in
the Street Profits. We saw a few weeks ago montes
(39:46):
Ford had a promo by himself or a backstage vignette
by himself with no Angelo Dawkins. I think we've seen
another segment where there was a backstage promo and BFAB
and Dawkins were the only ones that talk and montes
four didn't say anything, and I think wasn't it at
the beginning of this match. Normally TZ is the one
(40:08):
that starts the matches, but instead Dalk stopped him and
Dangel Dawkins chose to start the.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Match, and Tes kind of just looked down, like the fuck.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
S.
Speaker 8 (40:20):
They seem to be teasing a potential breakup between the two,
which if that's where this goes, I'm okay with it.
If it leads to a montes Ford push, which is
long overdue. Nothing against Dawkins, he can go in the
ring as well. I wish him success, But clearly, between
(40:40):
the two, TZ is the one that has the main
event potential. And yeah, definitely, yeah, they were talking before
the match like they was gonna as far as who's
gonna go out there.
Speaker 4 (40:55):
There was definite tension there.
Speaker 8 (40:56):
You can see they going back for about who's to
start to act like he was going through when Dogs
stopped him and just throw them to the back, like
now you get out the ring. So there's something there.
Hopefully it develops into something. But the match itself, yeah,
fuck the match. Nothing special happened.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (41:19):
Yeah, the Greek profits had had communication issues or whatever.
They also had had lost the numbers game as well,
so they kind of felt like there was they were
in a no win situation. Usually when the the WIA
six music starts, my eyes usually start going to the.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
Telephone machine, uh, because I think they're fucking stupid.
Speaker 7 (41:44):
So I haven't really watched much of them, but i'll
tell you what, Man Gacy uh impressed the sit out
of me.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
He looked really great.
Speaker 7 (41:51):
Uh, and I hope he got some more to do
than being the living embodiment of a puppet.
Speaker 3 (41:59):
Just why it's ext things just dumbished it, I think.
Speaker 7 (42:02):
And then I feel like that they fucking we were
talking about how great this backdown Tag division was. It
seems like just a couple of episodes ago, and I
feel like they've just taken all of that and fucking
fucked it up.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Yeah, you know, like the moment they put the titles
on the six, they sucked all the momentum out of it.
It's just like, yeah, because the.
Speaker 3 (42:26):
Matter, but it's just why I think it's so dumb.
I can't get over it.
Speaker 7 (42:30):
And then you put on top of that, uh, one
of the teams is consemplated the video game for a
comer and that we're finally doing this. Maybe I think
we've I feel mc kee's it a few times. Uh,
the street profit brain comes and.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
It's like, we should have done this fucking two years ago.
Speaker 7 (42:48):
Like I feel like it's gonna be like John Cena
Seal term, like yes we we, yes, we did want this,
but we wanted it fucking years ago.
Speaker 8 (42:57):
Right, we're over now, and when we wanted it, we
wanted it to be Yeah, And plus we wanted to
be an amical breakup, not a beef breakup. Like, Okay,
we've done this as far as we can. We can
go our separate ways. One love, brother, always got your back,
you do you, I'm gonna do me. But now they're
going back down the same old traditional route of their beefing.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
The third time. I feel like, so it's just like
why should I take it seriously?
Speaker 4 (43:24):
This time?
Speaker 3 (43:25):
You guys are almost programs? How many other times? Like
why should I care?
Speaker 4 (43:33):
Yeah, it's just it's it's frustrating and it's annoying. And
like you said, they sucked.
Speaker 8 (43:41):
Why Six have come in and sucked all the momentum
out of the tag division before we had all these
competitive teams going back and forth beating the crap at
each other. You know, justifiable reason for the tag titles
to be hot potatoes in this situation because it makes
all because all the teams are fairly even and equal
with each other, so anyone could beat anybody at any
(44:01):
single moment. But then all of a sudden, here comes
to ya, six out of nowhere, and they just show up,
take the tag titles, and sudden they can't nobody beat
them right, and they supposedly they have the numbers game,
but yet every tag team in the division hates them.
So why don't they all just get together, gang up,
beat the fuck out of them, get the tag bet
titles back, and let's all fight amongst each other. And
(44:23):
anytime they could show up, we get together, We jump them,
get them about the paint.
Speaker 1 (44:29):
Well, we saw a little bit then that ladders match
we saw last where it was like multiple teams they
hauled us kind of ganged up on the wyats right away.
Speaker 8 (44:40):
Yeah, for all of five minutes at the start of
the match, and then went back to beating on each other,
and then still didn't have enough sense to say, oh shit,
these motherfuckers getting the numbers game back on us. Uh,
let's jump back on them.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
Nope, yep, man, you know what, agree this match was
the worst, probably on the car. It could have been
left off the car.
Speaker 4 (45:07):
Who whoaha, whoa whoa whoa whoa? No, no, no, no, no,
we don't care about it. It sucked.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
Oh okay, okay, oh controversy.
Speaker 3 (45:21):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Uh, you know what, this match really does prove that,
like montes Ford has it all to go, main event,
this man is thirty five. Let's not waste any more
time here. I mean, this man was getting the crowd pumped.
This man is athletic as hell. This man has charisma,
he has I feel like the factor. Like you know,
(45:44):
sometimes when you're looking at a professional wrestler, you know
there's a checklist of things, you know, like you got
to have a decent gimmick, you gotta have, you know,
connection with the crowd, you gotta have a good mic ability,
a good in ring ability, And I feel like sometimes
you just need to check off all those things to
be up there in the main event, And now is
(46:07):
the time I think montest Ford has that ship like
they're like there were several times in this match I
was like, oh shit, oh shit, that's because montes Ford
throwing ship. You know, like that that spot where he
jumps over the corner ring post up over you know,
clearing the steps and everything like, that's fucking crazy. That's
some that's you know, that takes some athleticism to fucking
(46:30):
jump that high and clear that not not jumping off
of the ring post, just totally clearing it and the steps.
You know, in the fucking way I'd be trying that ship.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
But.
Speaker 8 (46:41):
You know I've stepped for the longest. That Shaw that uh,
montes Ford reminds me of of early Seawn Michaels.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
Yeah, yeah, that's not.
Speaker 8 (46:53):
Again, that's not to say that his career is going
to measure up to Shawn Michaels, that he would be that,
but he reminds me of of early nineties Shawn Michaels.
Like Shawn Michaels fresh out of the breakup with the Rockers,
Montez gives me that same vibe.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
Yeah, and yeah, man, like we all have no idea
what's gonna happen if they break up, What's gonna happen
to Dawkins?
Speaker 3 (47:18):
You know?
Speaker 1 (47:18):
And I mean just watching the match now with them.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
Hopefully he turns out better than Margins and you.
Speaker 4 (47:28):
Just like find some decent fitting wife beaters.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
Yeah, at this.
Speaker 7 (47:33):
Point, I kinda I kind of want some type of
like barbershop type scenario where uh Montage just fucking throws.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
Dawkins off the citage or whatever.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
You know.
Speaker 7 (47:46):
Like sometimes at this point, I just I don't even
I don't even think I want a story, like a break.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
Up story between them. I just want him to snap.
Speaker 7 (47:55):
We don't maybe don't see Dawkins for a couple of
months until there's a draft or whatever, and then he
goes see and maybe I don't need the whole break
up storry. I just want to see Teds get rid
of them and go.
Speaker 1 (48:06):
Yeah, there's talk of ESPN doing a draft WW draft
style for ESPN. I heard rumors of that that would
be around a good time to possibly break this tag
team up, because I mean I am constantly, like I said,
we're seeing cracks in the foundation. Finally we're seeing something
(48:28):
is changing within the street profits. So there's things that
didn't work.
Speaker 3 (48:33):
You know.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
Obviously they were Bobby Lashley for a while. They were
healed and they were faced. They were healed and they
were faced. That didn't work.
Speaker 5 (48:39):
You know.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
Then they they're doing their own thing again without Bobby
Lashley when he left kind of floundered for a while.
I mean, they need something, they need something. They added
b fab Uh.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Yeah, I thought that was a good aggestion.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
What's that.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
I thought she was a good addition for them.
Speaker 4 (49:00):
Yeah, yeah, she is. She's a strong mouthpiece for him.
She can go and.
Speaker 8 (49:07):
You know, if they would ever wherever to go the
heel route with them, she obviously could have been that
you know, interfering manager and such.
Speaker 4 (49:14):
But no, she has been a good addition for them.
She jails well with them.
Speaker 8 (49:18):
And yeah, and she's also you know, finally getting some
shine on herself and the occasional opportunities to go out there.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
And get physical.
Speaker 8 (49:25):
So yeah, I totally agree, And if I would like,
I agree with you as well that I don't want
to see a breakup storyline. If they're gonna break up,
just break up, whether it's amicably or with beef move
them to the other brand, split them up, and just
go from there. I don't want to see the storyline
(49:45):
where they're beefing with each other and at least to
matches or anything like that, because that never goes well
for the person who's on the losing side, right, And
we know if they were to beef, montes Ford is
the one who was going to come out on top,
and Angela Dawkins is going to be the one who
comes out on the losing side.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
Right. Seeing tag teams like this never work out. We've
seen tag teams getting broken up before new in neutral
terms because of the draft. You know, I remember the
Dudley's being separated for the first time. That's how we
got Devon Dudley.
Speaker 3 (50:19):
That's awful.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
Yeah, I mean it doesn't work for everybody, you know.
Speaker 3 (50:23):
That's how we got that's time we got Batista.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Yeah, and you know the draft also, the draft also
led to the Hardy Boys being separated, you know, Left
Edge and Christian being separated.
Speaker 4 (50:38):
How we got version one. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
Some some people grow from that and you know, they benefit,
but some people just they can't. We have unfortunately, Uh,
there's probably a support group out there for Tag team
partners that didn't make it after the split up, you know,
And I'm sure Marty Jeannetti is part of that group.
Speaker 4 (50:59):
Yeah, Marty, and they would be the president of that group.
I mean.
Speaker 8 (51:03):
But even among the tag teams you mentioned, there's always
one who shines and one who doesn't. Out of the Dudley's,
Bubba Ray is the one who probably had the better
singles career than Devon, although neither one of them was
that spectacular. Among the Hardy's, I mean not then among yeah,
Mongharty's Jeff was clearly the biggest star. It took a
while for Matt to find his footing, Like the version
(51:24):
one thing was okay, he made him a decent big
card talent, but it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
Stuff was elsewhere right right.
Speaker 8 (51:33):
Matt made the most of this ship when he got
out of w WE, you know, was he started the
whole what was the ship called.
Speaker 4 (51:43):
Escape?
Speaker 8 (51:44):
Yeah, the delete stuff what he was calling then. But yeah,
that's when he finally found himself. Yeah, and with Edge
and Christian. Clearly Edge was the initial star and Christian floundered.
Remember the let's not forget his whole temper tantrum bit
that he was doing.
Speaker 4 (52:06):
That and whatever you did it first, fucker. But yeah,
it's always it always goes one way or the other
with one of them is perfect.
Speaker 8 (52:21):
So I mean, I don't want to see dangel o'dawkins
potentially join that club, even if he may find his
place eventually. I would much rather him have a better
start out than being the loser of a tag team beef.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
Oh, can we move on to my next favorite match?
Probably match of the night, right, Doyle? Oh my god,
I'm so excited to hear his opinion. Please let him
go first.
Speaker 8 (53:00):
I mean, well, the next match, yes, was Becky Lynch
versus Nicki Bella for the Women's Inner Continental Championship. And
the only thing I have to say about this match
is I understand that we want to celebrate our legends
(53:23):
and that we want them to be seen as much
as possible and get their moments for the fans to
you know, show their appreciation, celebrate them, and all that
that being said, I don't see any reason why in
(53:45):
the hell John Cena had to insert himself in this match,
and I believe Nicky Bello was absolutely in one hundred
correct by disaster kicking him off of the top.
Speaker 4 (53:56):
Rope in the middle of the match. That's what the
fuck he got jumping in there. She was too good there.
That's all I've got to say about this match, you.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
Know, I mean I totally agree with you. I mean,
some of these people just do not belong back in
the rain. But uh, she was. I mean, Nicki mill
wasn't very good.
Speaker 7 (54:19):
Uh, you know a decade ago or whatever when she
was regularly you know, on the show and they kind
of started up, they were like, yeah she was.
Speaker 3 (54:29):
She was you know, she was named the top of
the card at the time when women's wanted very good,
you know. And it's just like.
Speaker 7 (54:36):
The crowd fucking hated her and they loved Becky and
give me to Heel, you know, the crowd the ship
all over Nicki Bella. They said that she was fox machine.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
Uh, you know, kick whatever front find whatever the hell
it was supposed to be. Was terrible. You know.
Speaker 7 (54:52):
There are a couple of moments where she had she
was openion Betty set off the announced tables.
Speaker 3 (54:59):
It was awful. Well, her head with the even close.
I'm not saying she needs to actually make contact, but
at least looks like you're trying, you know.
Speaker 11 (55:09):
And then she did a similar thing against the post
outside the ring. It was not even close. It's just
I mean, I know it's a fake quote.
Speaker 7 (55:20):
Unquote, but it's like Jesus Christ, like she's trying to
make it look somewhat unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
I don't know. Nicky's just terrible.
Speaker 7 (55:32):
God, I hope this if they had something grandiose planning
for her. God, I hope somebody is reconsidering that. But
you know, I think we're going to see the exact
same thing with somebody else.
Speaker 3 (55:44):
In the not too distant future. But I don't think
Becky belongs in the ring anymore, or not that I'm sorry.
Of course Becky belongs to the ring.
Speaker 7 (55:52):
She's only greats of all the time, Nikki, I don't
think belongs to the rig anymore.
Speaker 3 (55:56):
I really don't need to see her again ever, Wayne.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
Oh Man, Dude, I think Nicki looked fantastic in that ring.
I mean physically, she looks fantastic, you know what I
mean for forty one years old. I mean she looked
fucking good, right. I mean, I mean we can at
least all agree on that, right, I mean, she came back,
she looked in great shape. For a lot of the
(56:27):
women who come back, you know, or any wrestler comes
back from being gone for such a long time. You know,
it's always hard, you know we uh were we so
accustomed to, like, I guess what you look like last
time we saw you? You know, you know, Seamus was
always jacked and he came back fat, and we were like,
that's not the Shamus we know, go back, go back
(56:49):
and fix it.
Speaker 4 (56:50):
Well, yeah, well Seamus wasn't well.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
One.
Speaker 8 (56:53):
Shamus is still an active wrestler, yeah, yeah, not training
as well. Nicki has been perfectly healthy, so there's no
reason for her to not stay in shape unless she
just completely let herself go, which we've seen you know,
her in tabloids. She obviously has not done that. If
she had let herself go, she wouldn't be coming back
(57:13):
to w w EE, right, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (57:18):
I mean I didn't. Honestly, I didn't think we'd ever
see Nikki Bella wrestling again, period, unless it was rumble appearances,
because I have heard her previous neck injuries. Uh so,
I honestly didn't think we'd even get her wrestling with
anybody from the modern you know, this modern roster, hopefully
(57:40):
not too anymore. I mean, I agree with Doyle, there
was so many botches. I mean, you guys, obviously the
given you know, the the kick to John Cena off
the rope. Uh god, it's fucking all. And you couldn't
even Becky should have played it off like Samoa Joe,
you know, just like walked away like it was planned.
You know, could have easily have done something like that,
(58:02):
just you.
Speaker 3 (58:02):
Know, it looks like she was running to sell it. Kicks.
Speaker 4 (58:05):
Yeah, it's kind of hard.
Speaker 8 (58:06):
That's the problem is it's hard to play it off
when it's that bad and out of place.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
Right, yeah, yeah, really bad.
Speaker 4 (58:17):
Just saw a Nikki midair, like the fuck yeah.
Speaker 1 (58:22):
I mean, it's come on, it's bound to happen, right, yeah, yeah,
somebody's bound to forget a sequence or two, or I mean,
if we get her down to brass tacks. How hard
it is probably to run an entire layout, an entire match,
you know, and remember all the steps and the timing
and that's all. But uh yeah, yeah, Doyle, I also
agree with the I even have it written down here
(58:45):
with the slam in the head on the table. Becky
was just awful with it. It wasn't even just Nicky,
it was Becky too.
Speaker 3 (58:51):
Just not selling any.
Speaker 1 (58:54):
Oh my god, it was so cringey. You know, there
was a few spot I enjoyed and enjoyed the bellabuster
on the outside of the steps. I enjoyed the the new,
the fearless Locke. It's it's just like Johnsena's s t
f U, but she kind of has her like Torso
turned out the direction.
Speaker 3 (59:15):
You know. Michael Cole was like, Oh, she's put so
many opponents away with this roof. She called one before
exactly not one.
Speaker 1 (59:28):
Yeah, though I even wrote it down, I was like,
I've never seen this move done before by her.
Speaker 7 (59:36):
Michael Cole is getting getting to be insufferable. He's getting
like a different kind of bad than he.
Speaker 3 (59:41):
Used to be.
Speaker 8 (59:42):
Yeah, And then you know, they was the same thing
about her a little bit, a little bit of over
selling in some of his commentary.
Speaker 1 (59:49):
Oh my god.
Speaker 7 (59:52):
One thing I could say with the rations, I like
winning the ratchs for the the backslide.
Speaker 3 (59:57):
That's kind of funny. They're they're calling it the lynch pin.
I kind of like that, yeah character than John did.
Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
Yeah, that is true.
Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
I mean she's ruin and wrestling. You know, she's gonna
start winning with a backslide.
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
You know, Nikki Bella wasn't even worthy of a man
handle slam.
Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Yeah, but she gave one though, which was weird. Not
worthy of taking one, but worthy of giving one.
Speaker 4 (01:00:26):
That was weird. Yeah yeah, I forgot about that that part.
Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
Yeah yeah, And then they had the lynch pin.
Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
I kind of like the lynch pin. It's nice because
it is kind of heals, you know, like I got
one over on you. What what the hell you're gonna
do about it? You know, but if you can't keep
him down for the three count, you know, down down.
Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
Were ang with this match. It was just like thirteen minutes.
I think, like what I mean, that's way too long,
you know, like I don't know, we never talk about again.
Speaker 4 (01:01:05):
Yeah, three seconds shorter than the Borderlands match.
Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
Really, that's atomach longer, right, forty five minutes.
Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
That's what the that's what That's a difference in action
right there. Make Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:01:32):
Well the next match after this was Russev facing Seamus
and a good old fashioned like they really have that
in the whole name, good old fashioned donnie Brook match,
Like not donny Brook match. No, it's a good old
fashioned donny Brook match as opposed to the new and
(01:01:53):
improved donny Brook match.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
M hm.
Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
So, but this match was.
Speaker 8 (01:02:00):
Pretty much what you would expect it from a and
E no DQ match with a bunch of big excuse me,
big strong guys in it.
Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
They beat the crap out of each other. They used
a lot of weapons.
Speaker 8 (01:02:11):
It was dinning Brooks, so they integrated, integrated some dinny
Brook elements like Lalley's and barrels and stuff, and eventually
russe F Baye Chamus tap out went on for twenty minutes,
which surprised me that this match went that long. I
(01:02:31):
did I think they was gonna give this match twenty minutes,
but they did.
Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
Yeah, this one could have been a little shilter also,
I thought.
Speaker 4 (01:02:39):
Yes, it definitely could have it.
Speaker 8 (01:02:41):
Really it took a long time to get going. And yeah,
I mean, and it wasn't because that. It's because it
was just basically the a standard fair match that you
would see, like I said, from big guys. They did
all the typical big big man power moved stuff, they
(01:03:02):
did the typical spots like there wasn't really anything that
made it unique or special or isolated until you got
much later in the match. And that's when it finally
started to get interesting when it got much later and
then dragged on like you know, Russev hitting the Russev
lock on or the clutch camera clutch or whatever on
(01:03:23):
the what you call it on the barrels.
Speaker 4 (01:03:27):
That was at least yeah, that was at least unique.
And then.
Speaker 8 (01:03:31):
Seamus turned around and then hitting was a white noise
onto the table from the barrels. Like it was around
that time when the match finally started getting interesting. We
were finally getting some unique, some actual unique spots integrating
the props and stuff that were there and which was
then turning into near falls that people were kicking out.
(01:03:53):
That's when the match finally got interesting. But they really
could have cut out a lot of the fluff in
the middle. It got to this stuff better, and I
think it would have made for an overall better match. Yeah,
I'm in agreement with you. Do all, this match did
not need to be twenty minutes. It could have been
a good, solid, hard hitting fifteen Yeah, and I think
(01:04:14):
it would have been an overall better match.
Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
Were your thoughts on it?
Speaker 3 (01:04:20):
Well, Yeah, I mean I agree with you. I think
it went on a little longer than he needed to.
Speaker 7 (01:04:26):
Yeah, But and it was fun, don't get me wrong,
and you know, as predicted, Chamis looked like the events
for me crying by the end, but it was just
kind of standard and nothing really stood out particularly, you
know that even that white noise off of the barrel
I think we saw the last time. It is one
(01:04:47):
of these Donnybrook matches right with with Pete Dunnan Seamus,
I think, even the exact same thing. So that's kind
of why I thought that they might do, you know,
one of those big theatrical kind of things where you know,
they go off and you know, fly off the stage and.
Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
Spark food uppers.
Speaker 7 (01:05:09):
You know, I thought I thought we might get something
like that, a little more flatty or something, if you will.
Uh yeah, the accolade, I think that's a move on
top of the barrels of school.
Speaker 3 (01:05:19):
As well as him doing it with the still alien
his mouth, that.
Speaker 7 (01:05:22):
Was pretty pretty pretty uh pretty gnarly, you know, and
Shamus doesn't tap out very often. I just don't know
what the fuck they're doing with Recess.
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
He needs to be something other than you know, foreign heel.
Speaker 7 (01:05:37):
I think, right, it's some kind of other depths to him,
and I just don't see where that's gonna come from.
Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Hell.
Speaker 7 (01:05:47):
I would he was, he was, the crowd is doing
recept great chance, and he was you know, covering his
ears or whatever. Fuck, I'd go back to that. I mean,
that was market for him and at least that was
something unique that that he had. You know, uh, right
now he's just you know, he'll foreid heel X really.
Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
With nothing special about him. Yeah, that's not a good
question out of this is what what we're famous killing
war or not shamous? What where's rusup going? What the
hell was the point for bringing him back to just have.
Speaker 7 (01:06:23):
A social hardcore matter of famous. You know, there needs
to be something more. I fairly hope there is.
Speaker 8 (01:06:31):
Yeah, that's the problem with this match and this whole
feud is yes, the obvious guy won, and probably the
right guy won, but now what now you got the
problem of now what now?
Speaker 4 (01:06:45):
What do you do with them? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:06:47):
I propose the idea of him going after the Intercontinental
Championship and going after DOM. That could create for some
interesting dynamics. But that's not the only thing I could
think of. But I don't know if they're willing to
go that route given what happened on Raw Monday, and
the fact that there seems to be, for some dumb reason,
(01:07:10):
some backlash to the fact that aj Styles didn't win
the Inner Canals Championship. Fuck people mad for about that?
I don't know, but apparently that's the thing. Hum AnyWho,
what are your thoughts on the Dolly Brook match?
Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
Wayne?
Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
Dude, just good old fashioned Donnie Brook match. How many
good old fashioned Donny Brook matches have we had?
Speaker 4 (01:07:34):
I can't tell for them to be good and old fashioned, good.
Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
Old fashioned Donnie Brook. Let's see, there's large wooden barrels
Irish Brandy, which I didn't see any some chilalies at ringsign.
We did have a Seamus Andrew McIntyre had had one
in twenty twenty two, the Brawl and Bruce. Oh yeah,
(01:07:58):
Shamus and Pete Dunn uh and Rich Holland versus Imperium.
Speaker 6 (01:08:04):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
Actually, you know what, Doyle, wasn't that match in Philadelphia?
I believe that was the brawling brutes versus uh Imperium
in Abra? Yeah, dude, I believe it was the goo
old fashioned donnybrou Yeah that Uh. Let's see here August Yeah, okay,
(01:08:29):
maybe yeah, maybe So that's pretty cool. Uh yeah, so
it's to be like the third one we've seen and
then god knows how many matches we've seen of these
two together. But uh, I enjoyed it, but I wish
it was a lot shorter. Don't get me wrong. I
enjoyed the French counting as he beats the ballery, so
(01:08:53):
we get the French numbers. So that was that was
pretty funny. Uh beaten him with the chalale across the chest.
I felt that there's a few Kendostick shots that made
me cringe. There was a really cool I wish shame
is to the bro cake that that connected. Just the
(01:09:13):
timing of it looks so clean, and uh they they
played it over again because it was so good where else?
Uh Yeah, I I put when he had him on
top of the barrels, stretching him out there, I call
it the whiskey stretch.
Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:09:32):
You know, such an I conic movement going on, you know,
of course, Uh I thought. I thought putting him through
the table, though, was pretty cool. I was like, that
hurt looks like I hurt him more than they hurt Russive,
you know, putting him through that slim gym table. But
I agree, J like what do we what do we
do with either of these guys after this? Where either
(01:09:54):
of them go?
Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:09:57):
How much Shame is going to go the same place
he's been going for the last couple of years.
Speaker 12 (01:10:01):
Nowhere, Yeah, you know, uh yeah as an institution at
this point, you know what I mean, they want to
heat him up for something they can pretty easily.
Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
I just feel like no direction and no no presence,
no nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
Really this is this has been his big few since
he's been back. This is the big one. I mean,
he's on the card. You know, you can't argue that.
Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
So it was in Europe?
Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
Yeah, I know, But have we been Is this what
we were building up to? Is this what all those
matches were for us? Because this is this what we wanted?
Well not us, but you know, I don't fly, I
guess sure, Okay, now what now what? I don't know?
(01:11:00):
Far too long this would have been like maybe knock
all like five minutes of this fucking thing.
Speaker 4 (01:11:06):
But this could have been on raw, yeah for sure,
like it like.
Speaker 1 (01:11:11):
It has been the past couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
Huh huh, yes, that's really yeah, that's another thing.
Speaker 7 (01:11:17):
We've seen this, We've seen this match or these two
every week for the past couple of weeks. It's just yeah,
it's just like another rider.
Speaker 8 (01:11:28):
Yeah, that doesn't help it out all either, when they're
giving us the same match over and over again, and
this time you just throw a stipulation in it to
open them up to add more spots in the match,
and we didn't get those spots until late in the match.
Speaker 3 (01:11:47):
And it didn't give us a j DOM on pay
per view. They did it the next night. Yeah, then
that could have been the next night.
Speaker 8 (01:11:55):
It's right, like a J and down for the IC
title could have been on this pl and then they
could have saved the other match for Raw exactly because
or at the very least, if you're gonna have the
aj Don match on Raw, not to jump ahead a
little bit, but to jump ahead a little bit, that
(01:12:16):
match could have.
Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
Been the fucking main event.
Speaker 8 (01:12:20):
It clearly probably should have been based upon the pop
that AJ got, Like did they forget about backlash last
year when the whole fucking camera was shaking from the
people going off for aj styles like, and they thought, yeah,
we're just gonna throw that match in the middle of Raw.
(01:12:42):
It'd be fine that I could see people being upset
about but not retaining.
Speaker 4 (01:12:50):
No, no, get over yourselves. AJ wouldn't win in that
shit by damn sure deserved the main event.
Speaker 8 (01:12:58):
Like who'ld have thought the down South Georgia boys home
court would be Paris, France?
Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
Yeah? Right, yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Any other thoughts on the donny Brook match?
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
No, that's pretty good. Uh Shamus once again beating his
body to a bloody pulp for us?
Speaker 3 (01:13:21):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
What do you think would happen if Shamus went away
for like six months and came back with a tan yo.
Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Heart?
Speaker 8 (01:13:38):
Oh yeah, ain't no way in hell he fucking tan naturally.
He fucking around trying to tan naturally and fuck around and.
Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Get skin cancer or some ship. Ain't no way.
Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:13:53):
Anyhow, moving on, next match was John i'n seen a
facing Logan Paul and a match that went on that
was the longest match on the card. This match went
on for twenty six minutes in twenty seconds, which.
Speaker 4 (01:14:20):
I won't say it was.
Speaker 8 (01:14:21):
A bad thing, but I don't know it was a
great thing either. I don't know that they needed all
twenty six minutes. They probably could have shaved off a
few themselves.
Speaker 4 (01:14:32):
Of course.
Speaker 8 (01:14:33):
Saying that then bows the question what the hell match
on this card deserved more time because I think all
the other I think the Roman matches had an adequate time.
Maybe you could put more time into the main event match,
but eh, maybe maybe not. The other three matches on
the card we already said two or the three of
them fuckers had way too much time.
Speaker 7 (01:14:56):
So yeah, well, I personally, if if Seen is forced
to last match or whatever it is, is five minutes
too long, and I don't think that's the end of
the world.
Speaker 4 (01:15:08):
Yeah, that that is a very valid point. This isn't
the tail end, So yeah, let him cook and cook
he did.
Speaker 8 (01:15:17):
I think him and Logan Paul put on a very
good match as John Cena paid homage to his opponents
of the past by stealing all of their fucking moves,
Like geez, like, how how many moves did he use
in this match? I think he saw an end of days. Yeah,
(01:15:40):
I'm not saying it as a bad thing, like, yeah,
seeing him at the end of days was cool as
ship because lord, when the last time we saw that
with one w W television.
Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
Yea European.
Speaker 4 (01:15:59):
Yeah, yeah, John cenas clash on the.
Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
Joel's Wing from Chris Daniels. Yeah, you know, seeing John
Cena do a Hert Corona is always cool.
Speaker 4 (01:16:11):
Mm hm, even Stole Rocks and Perez pop rocks.
Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
Yeah yeah, and omage to a lot of wrestlers. I mean,
I I think I I rather enjoyed this fucking match.
You know, if we're gonna get a few more John
Cena matches and uh, you know you're gonna give somebody
like the logan Paul, then give us a good quality
fucking match and that and that's what we got, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:16:35):
Hell yeah, I mean let it. Let it all hang out. Yeah,
the last couple get fuck it. Yeah, let it all
hang out.
Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
The entrance with the the just the black background the
white letters of John Cena and then they change it
to you know, like the face with all the colors,
like the crowd just pops. Man. You know, this is
what I've been waiting for, Like John c like as
a fa you know, towards the end of his career. Man,
just enjoying it to the bitter end, you know, having fun.
Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
Uh. Well, not only is he enjoying it, the whole
crowd is enjoying it, not just.
Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
The whole crowd. Yeah, it's great, It's great.
Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
I wish you know, of this year, just stupid the hunter. Yeah,
I wish it was that's all year. That's what I
would have been trying with.
Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
That, right, Yeah, that's gonna be that.
Speaker 8 (01:17:31):
That's gonna be the never ending debate once Johnson retired,
is you know, in retrospect now everybody saying, yes, the
heel turn was a mistake, and you know, because we're
getting so much good now that man, we could have
been getting this all year. We should have been getting
this all year. But I think there's an argument to
(01:17:51):
be made that if he had remained at babyface all year,
would we have been getting this level, this quality of
John Cena all year.
Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
I think.
Speaker 7 (01:18:06):
We certainly wouldn't have had that awful couple of months
to compare it to make it look that much better
in comparison.
Speaker 8 (01:18:12):
Yeah, but I think we right, and I think it
could have It could have been maybe equally as dull
towards the middle had he just been a babyface, because
what would he have been doing. He would have been
contra by contrast, he might have been feuding with Heels
and so what we swap out see him punk for
(01:18:36):
Drew McIntyre. Few we swap out Randy Orton for somebody else.
So I mean, I think that needs to be taken
into consideration as well. Like you know, his his greatest
foes are currently all babyfaces, so we've just been getting
face on face matches or something, and let's not forget that.
(01:19:01):
Even if the execution afterwards was, you know, left something
to be desired, the moment itself of John C and
Attorney Hill was still very major and very impactful and
had the entire wrestling world talking. So I don't think
the moment itself was bad or was a mistake. I
(01:19:25):
just think the execution afterwards is where they fell off.
They went for the moment, but they didn't really appear
to have a plan afterwards, or the Rock sabotaged the
plans afterwards by just chucking up the deuce.
Speaker 4 (01:19:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:19:43):
We'll see maybe on Unreal next year or whatever, or
some documentary ten years from now where people will feel
free to talk about it, but that we shall see.
But I think a lot of what's making this so
great now is part of maybe Johnson are feeling motivated
to make up for lost time during his heel run,
(01:20:07):
and now he's at the tail end, he's just letting
it all hang out.
Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
Mm hmm, yeah, that could certainly be.
Speaker 7 (01:20:15):
Yeah, I mean this, this was I thought the best
John Cena match this year for sure, Bye.
Speaker 3 (01:20:20):
By leaps and bounds, and I love that, you know, yeah,
I like this a lot better. I'll tell you why.
I know.
Speaker 7 (01:20:35):
I liked that they didn't have fucking Logan Paul stupid
influencer friends fucking around in there, and they didn't have uh,
you know, Kim trying to do some viral.
Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
Fucking moment with a throne and a clip or whatever
the fuck.
Speaker 7 (01:20:50):
Even in real time, I was complaining that Logan Paul
was getting in one of John Seeny's last matches. Like
you said about the homage thing, I thought that was great,
and I thought Logan Paul was actually in the perfect
first and kind of do some you know, other moves
that you don't always see and because you know, we're
not see this match, you know what I mean, And
(01:21:14):
this is maybe the next best thing.
Speaker 3 (01:21:15):
It's like a wink and a nod or a homus.
Speaker 7 (01:21:17):
Do you remember there was a towards the end of
Gunsa's Icy Pat already need a master with a mizz
and there was a little bit of back and forth,
like I think there was like a lion tamer and
there was.
Speaker 3 (01:21:28):
A couple of like former Icy Championship moves, and I
remember saying, I love that. I wish they had done
more of that, And this match is kind of kind
of that, which I've been hoping for. Uh So I'm
glad they just kind of played It's great. Uh you know,
they kind of played the hit teena one.
Speaker 7 (01:21:50):
It's choice though, to go go hug the little chubby
Belgian kid right and right into a sticking your tongue
right down your weight throat right there, a little fads.
Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
I thought that one's kind of interesting. Whatever, so he
can do whatever he wants. Yeah, I mean, how many
more matches is you gonna have? Three? Maybe four?
Speaker 7 (01:22:13):
You know, so we're getting down there, and so you know,
like I said that, if I've johnt seen them, you know,
these last level matches, If John Cena match.
Speaker 13 (01:22:21):
Was an extra five or ten minutes, I'm really historic
complaint about it, because you.
Speaker 3 (01:22:26):
Know, you're just gonna enjoy, you know, love him or
hate him or whatever he is.
Speaker 7 (01:22:30):
He is one of the best that's ever done it,
and I think you should just you know, try to
try to breathe it in, you know, while you have
the chance.
Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
I think we'll miss him when he's gone.
Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
Yeah, that's very very much true.
Speaker 8 (01:22:46):
And I think as much as we are, as much
as mean we may have been chagrining the fact that
one of his last matches is was against Logan Paul,
we now have to consider the fact that one of
his last matches is going to be with brock Lesnar.
Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
Yeah, it's fully effected brock to interfere.
Speaker 7 (01:23:13):
But again, like I said, I'm glad that fucking Logan
Paul's little stupid friends didn't interfere. I'm kind of glad
that brock lest I didn't either, although storyline wise, it's
so like, why the fuck is he there at one time?
Speaker 3 (01:23:28):
Uh, don't try to a hanging thread out there. But whatever,
they'll pull up whenever they want to. I suppose. Uh,
it's advertised for two SmackDown sewing up, so I imagine
that's all we'll find out.
Speaker 8 (01:23:42):
Yeah, and I think we can all agree John Cena
when he came out, that was probably the pop of
the night by far.
Speaker 3 (01:23:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 7 (01:23:55):
People he's always been so polarizing, and I think everybody's
so it's like, well, this is the this is it,
you know, so let's you know, let's show him the love,
as they say, give him as fowls. They were even
chanting the supersede at one point during the match. It's
like that, you know, that was the big that was
(01:24:16):
the big lament against Sina for so long. Uh and
now they're chanting supersede. Well, I just thought it was
kind of a cool moment for him.
Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
M h. And he seems like such a good dude.
Speaker 8 (01:24:29):
Uh, you know, yeah, I think I was surprised by
some of the reactions he was getting. It seemed like
even surprised him a bit, like just how how big
of a pop he got. Yeah, he wasn't there for
Backlash last year, so he obviously, you know, didn't get
a sampling of how much this French crowd can turn up.
Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
Yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
Any other thoughts on this match before we move on
to the main event.
Speaker 1 (01:25:02):
No, I mean, like, I enjoyed this more than I
thought I was going to. So yeah, me too, I
thought the night Yeah, a lot of people complaining, you know,
we're wasting Johnson his matches, you know, No, not after
I saw this one, I was really.
Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
I went into that thinking that, and I left not
thinking that anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:25:23):
Yeah, John Johnson entertained, entertained me, him and Logan Paul
from belld Bell, So I couldn't ask for more from
from uh a fucking YouTuber and a guy who's on
his way out peacemaker. I can't complain about the two.
They gave me a fucking good match, So no.
Speaker 8 (01:25:41):
Yeah, Well, moving on to the final match, Ain't Event
Fatal four Wave for the World Heavyweight Championship. Seth Rolins
our champion, defending against see Him Punk, Jay Usso and
l A Knight.
Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
This match in France, it's night, Oh yeah night or
chevalier if.
Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
You will, La Night we.
Speaker 3 (01:26:22):
So in.
Speaker 8 (01:26:23):
This match, again was another good match. They had some
fairly good storytelling elements in this match. Obviously, everybody jumped
on Seth Rollins from the jump and seemed to try
to have a united front of all right, let's take
out Seth Rollins and then three of us all duke
(01:26:43):
it out, to which ju So very quickly said yeah,
fuck that ship and super kicking the fuck out of
see Him Punk in the face when they tried to
put Seth through the table on the outside and at
multiple points in the match when it seemed like they
were going to do one thing, Jay was like, nope,
it's about me. I'm taking all y'all out. I'm not
(01:27:04):
missing or not about him. But he wasn't letting any
moments go to waste. Rather, and kudos to him, I
mean I would appreciate a more serious Jay Usso, yes,
the yeaton and all that stuff is fun, but he
needed to be able to get down to business when
(01:27:26):
it's time to get down to business. I think that's
part of his hopefully will be part of his growth
and his evolution as a singles competitor.
Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
And obviously Punk Knight.
Speaker 8 (01:27:39):
They did their thing, but ultimately Seth Rollins came out
on top because he had a plan. Despite the fact
that Bronson, Reed and Braun were kicked out of the
building by Adam Pierce, despite the fact that Paul Hayman
(01:28:01):
was laid up in the hospital after being choked out,
Seth Rollins had somebody who.
Speaker 4 (01:28:08):
Would have his back.
Speaker 8 (01:28:10):
He had a fourth man, and that fourth man was
the man in the form of Becky Lynch, who nutshot
to see him Punk when he thought he had the moment,
allowing Seth Rollins to pick up the pen and retain
the World Heavyweight Championship, and props to them, because I
(01:28:33):
don't think anybody had Becky Lynch pegged as the fourth Man,
Assuming that she's moving forward, she's being a part of
this faction, and that this isn't just a temporary thing
to set up something else, I would like I would
like her to remain a part of this faction. Honestly,
I don't want this just to be a temporary thing.
Speaker 7 (01:28:55):
Yeah, I mean, I think we had about half a
dozen guests that he used to hoot a fourth man
with hind Man and not one of those.
Speaker 4 (01:29:03):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:29:06):
Now that does made me just you know, thinking off
the top of my head, wonder. I don't think I
want this faction to get too big, but it would
be rather interesting if Becky Lynch now got her own
bron breaker and uh Bronson Reid on her end, and
(01:29:28):
then we have Seth and Becky at the top and
that you know, he has his vision and her vision
and collectively they are the vision. Might be too much, maybe,
but it could be interesting, could be interesting, just throwing
it out there. Wayne, what are your thoughts on this match.
Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
Oh man, dude, this match was awesome. The you know,
immediately soon as that bell rang, the beat down on
Seth rawlins, you know, like immediately, why not, right, this
guy's been the cause of all this trouble. Uh so
they immediately turned on him. But the alliance didn't stay.
You know, it was not too long because you know,
(01:30:11):
Punk and l A. Knight have been beefing with each other,
and you know, Jayuso has been told by even Roman
not to trust anybody in this match, and he didn't.
He started super kicking on left and right once they
tried to start up set up the table. There's a
bad table spot with Punk, you know, getting pushed out
the ring by l A. Knight going through the table.
(01:30:33):
He kind of like went through the table, the table
kind of broke, then he slid off the table. It
was a bad table spot, and I think it doesn't
I think La puts himself through a table. I believe, Yeah,
he puts himself through one of the announced tables. I
believe he tried to elbow drop in. Nobody was home.
(01:30:58):
I did like the spot we were going to get
when we were getting these curb stomps. Seth was putting
Seampunk's head in a steel chair. I was gonna curb
stomp him. I thought that was a new interesting way
to curb stomp somebody putting their head through the steel chair. Yeah, dude,
And once again we get close Punk's giving him to
go to sleep. The camera angles all right there, it's perfect.
(01:31:21):
We get that person in the black hoodie. You know,
for the longest time, I I I was always thinking like, yoh,
maybe cool if Becky was with Seth, right, but I
thought like they would never pull the trigger because it's
like a too obvious of a of a of a
thing to do. And once you know Becky was full
(01:31:44):
on heel with the icy title, I was like, oh,
this would be perfect. You know, they're both heels, they
both have gold Like.
Speaker 3 (01:31:50):
Why not.
Speaker 1 (01:31:53):
You know, uh, you know, why not? Because we're gonna
talk about it after this. But you know, with a
few going forward, I mean, these titles are gonna be
on the line. I assume going forward, both of them
are in jeopardy. But you know, Seth wiggling his way
out here at a fatal four way. I think we
(01:32:13):
all saw this coming. But I you phrase it perfectly, Dre.
It's like you know, everybody's wondering who was the man,
you know, who is the fourth man? And the fourth
man was the man that is fucking perfect? And you know,
I'll get into Monday Night Raw after this, Doyle, what
(01:32:36):
did you think of the match?
Speaker 3 (01:32:38):
I liked it a lot. I didn't love it though.
Speaker 7 (01:32:40):
It had a little too much two guys in the
ring and two guys outside formula for my liking. I
wish they had kind of kind of a way to
mix it up a little more. You know, who really
said out to me? Who I have had a lot
of not so great things should say about. Uh? But
(01:33:02):
was uh the night he he looked like he belonged
in there with three bert and or former world champions
being the.
Speaker 3 (01:33:11):
Only one that isn't or wasn't. But he didn't look
at a place at all. I still just don't quite
see him ever as winning a world title. But he
looked a lot less out of place that I kind
of expected him to look. And yeah, I mean the storyline,
uh wise, you know everything.
Speaker 7 (01:33:34):
I think we all were, you know, like I said,
were all expected once once Breaker and once Brawn and
Braun Incorporated got banned from the building. Obviously, there's somebody
else that's coming. Uh, but none of us thought it
was not gonna be back you, So, you know, coganes
to them for.
Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
You know, we don't get very many.
Speaker 7 (01:33:52):
Sur practice, especially if you read the dirty like I
do by jamming them into my eyes.
Speaker 3 (01:34:01):
So you're not surprised too often. Terms likes to be
kind of surprised.
Speaker 7 (01:34:04):
It's funny, Uh, you know, you see the figure in black,
and I kind of did the Okay, here's the fourth person.
Speaker 3 (01:34:11):
Oh it's a woman. That's a woman.
Speaker 7 (01:34:13):
It has to be Becky and it's Becky. Like just
the mental techlist. I kind of went there as it
was all happening. Obviously, in a minute, we'll talk about
going forward. But I thought of like the idea I
had never sawn Beechy having her own side in the envision.
Speaker 3 (01:34:32):
That's that's kind of a good idea, I thought.
Speaker 7 (01:34:35):
And I think because Seth and Becky will be tied
up with something for at least the next couple of weeks,
it kind of gives Ron Braun Incorporated and Paul Hayman
a little more time to kind of be a trio
almost kind of as they were in sets absence while.
Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
He was taking the knee injury.
Speaker 7 (01:34:55):
I think just a couple of weeks, I did wonders
for both Throwns, especially you know, being with him, and
just as the whole air of credibility that.
Speaker 3 (01:35:05):
You can't really recreate otherwise, you know.
Speaker 13 (01:35:10):
So I kind of like the idea of having that
half of the vision and then really at the end
of the day, the whole point is to elevate the
two Bronze I think, so I.
Speaker 7 (01:35:21):
Kind of like having them off doing their own thing,
while Seth and Becky are kind of off doing their
own thing. I don't know if Becky stays in the
group or not. I guess that will remain to be seen.
I can't say him make a cast for either either
her saying or either her going. I don't think that
the storyline we're respecting the result from Becky's interparent here
(01:35:46):
is going to be a particularly long one.
Speaker 3 (01:35:49):
But I guess you'd get into that now if you want.
Speaker 8 (01:35:54):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, if we're if we're done with
the the PLI itself, sure, I think we can move
on into the aftermath and were followed up on Monday
Night Raw. Just to touch on your point about Ron
and bron and Bronson uh together. Yeah, I think them
(01:36:16):
two clearly work good as you know, the being by themselves.
I wonder if they're gonna give them a few weeks
without Paul Hayman, because as they've mentioned Monday, you know,
they're now yeah, yeah, they're two now two dogs off
the leash. There's no Paul Hayman to hold them back.
Collins is, you know, preoccupied with.
Speaker 4 (01:36:38):
His problem with.
Speaker 7 (01:36:39):
Pun Okay, that's that's not a bad idea. See, I'm
just looking at like Haman, but the dogs are off
the leash thing. If they ran with that, that might
be fun.
Speaker 4 (01:36:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:36:51):
And and they just basically while he's steths preoccupied, they're
just running rough shot over everything in sight and just
completely unhinged given you know, Adam Pierce heart attacks every week,
just fucking up everything in sight. That could make very
that could make it very compelling and keep them to
looking strong while not being you know, handcuffed to Paul
(01:37:13):
Hayman or Seth Rollins.
Speaker 3 (01:37:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:37:17):
I mean, I just feel like the problem is if
you keep them with behind Seth and then you add
Becky to that, it's just they're just I feel like
they're just showing so much brighter than they do, you.
Speaker 7 (01:37:29):
Know, not necessarily through any faults of their own, perhaps,
but I feel like they would just you know, feeling
back of a hard time catching up, you know, just
by the sheer magnitude of Seth and Becky together bring
it in like a more texts of heat.
Speaker 3 (01:37:49):
Hard to kind of stand in the shadow.
Speaker 4 (01:37:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:37:54):
Yeah, that's a valid point if it was just them too,
with Seth and Becky at the top. That's why I
kind of think maybe if Becky had her own half
to kind of you know, pull her attention, draw some
of her attention towards that as well, that could maybe
help balance the two of them out. So the way
(01:38:15):
she's not just there in Seth's circle or in Seth
or and it's not just those two together all the time.
They kind of each have their own thing that they're
managing while also being the power couple together again. And
there's the risk of obviously the faction itself being too big,
with having what would be basically six members plus Paul Hayman,
(01:38:40):
that could be you know too much. Many fact, not
to many factions work with that many members in it.
Speaker 4 (01:38:47):
But I think.
Speaker 7 (01:38:51):
One point they had about thirty people in the right
nWo had half the roster at full point ridiculous.
Speaker 8 (01:38:59):
Yeah yeah, so, I mean it would have to be
done obviously with care, but with a certain level of restraint.
But I think if balanced out properly and being split
obviously with the men and women's division, there's potential there
for it to work.
Speaker 4 (01:39:15):
It would just be a question of you know, which
women do you call up to do it?
Speaker 8 (01:39:21):
And my guess is it would probably have to come
from NXT because I don't know that there's anybody on
the main roster. Of course, the other problem is that
all the women on the main roster seem to be
all tied up in their own feuds as well. So
what would these potential to women do? Would they just
insert themselves and everybody else's beef? You just go around
(01:39:43):
beating shit out of folks at random.
Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
M I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:39:50):
I don't think we're gonna get you know, Becky and
her own group, I don't think so. I just I'm
on the boat of her came of seth uh yeah,
uh yeah. Let's get into what happened on role here
because a lot of people were I guess the main
(01:40:11):
thing we were all curious to know about is what
where is this punk? Seth Rollins angle going? Well, Seampunk
came the ring called out Seth Rollins, but instead he
got Becky Lynch, which was brilliant. Becky coming out Seth's music, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
She was mocking the crowd because they were chanting for
(01:40:34):
a j Lee, you know, giving into the crowd, acknowledging her,
you know, saying, you know, she doesn't work here anymore.
Speaker 4 (01:40:42):
Work here.
Speaker 1 (01:40:43):
Yeah, and then she ripped into seeing Punk for attacking
her husband repeatedly, you know, calling him, you know, amazing,
he's he's sexy and what else do you say, like
he's better looking than you and everything?
Speaker 3 (01:41:01):
Uh uh, she called, well, it's always it's always my
hot husband.
Speaker 7 (01:41:07):
But I enjoyed her in Europe when she sat American husband.
Speaker 3 (01:41:11):
Yeah, yeah, it's just it's a little thing.
Speaker 1 (01:41:16):
You know, basically saying everything, you know, he's everything Punk
will never be. And the Visionary then eventually came out
and told Punk that he said that he has to
say to his face, but uh uh, you know Becky
Lynch standing in the way. Yeah, Becky wouldn't let him
(01:41:36):
man like, you know, Seth send his woman out because
he got nothing left and got his boys are off
the least. You know, Paul Hayman's in the hospital with
Roman Reigns. It's you know, uh, he had to get
he had to get the man, and she decided to
(01:41:57):
put her hands on him and like good old fat
and like Stephan mcman slaps, you know, like slapping the
ship out of punk.
Speaker 8 (01:42:05):
At one point it was damn near three stood just slapping.
At one point, she was just doing it just antagonis.
Speaker 4 (01:42:12):
Yeah, I mean it was motor boat, you.
Speaker 1 (01:42:14):
Know, telling her basically like you know, you you know,
your husband made a big mistake by cashing in on me,
and I'm going to make sure he pays for that.
And you know he said that he's going to make
sure that she pays for that.
Speaker 4 (01:42:30):
You know, you know she never her hands on me.
Speaker 1 (01:42:33):
Yeah, and you know what before when Raw first, Yeah,
when Raw kicked off, we saw, Yeah, that was.
Speaker 8 (01:42:44):
A weird thing too, Like people are acting like, oh
my god, why did he put it? He didn't do
anything to her. This whole thing is stupid. W W
can't hit women. And yeah, I'm like, yeah, I get
it to a certain extent, but that's where we're at
right now, and obviously there's a big your story at play.
I don't think WWE is opposed to men, you know,
(01:43:06):
hitting a move here and there on a woman. Yeah,
I mean, are we going to go back to the
days of the Dudley's putting women through the table every week?
Speaker 4 (01:43:14):
Probably not, Yeah, but there's somewhere between.
Speaker 8 (01:43:17):
There's some space between Dudley's putting Grandma to a table
and you know, Barry Corbyn hitting the End of Days
on Becky Lynch.
Speaker 1 (01:43:29):
Yeah, we had Fair. That was June twenty nineteen, was
when the last time we saw a good mixed gender match.
In the beginning of the raw, they had Punk guarding.
You know, I guess Punk things there's only one way
into the fucking arena.
Speaker 3 (01:43:47):
So.
Speaker 1 (01:43:49):
Waiting for Punk, waiting for Seth Rollins to come in,
and then he finds out that he was already there.
Apparently there's another tour. Yeah, I think he was. They
were they better not do it, But it looked like
he was hinting like maybe Rha would be the person
(01:44:09):
he's going to go.
Speaker 7 (01:44:10):
To to get I think they're gonna tease Rea, you know,
like similar well similar to like I think it might
have been the first raw on Netflix when everyone and
their mother knew.
Speaker 3 (01:44:26):
That Rock was going to be there.
Speaker 7 (01:44:29):
Tweeted out, they tweeted out, Hey, everybody, a former world champion.
Speaker 3 (01:44:34):
Is gonna be on Raw tonight.
Speaker 7 (01:44:35):
And then Row comes and they said, here's the former
world Tampy and then out comes Tender.
Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
You know, I think I think it's everyone in their
mother know it's going to be a Lee.
Speaker 4 (01:44:46):
Think I remembering that that wasn't the first raw on Netflix.
That was the was it Day one or whatever that
they did the raw? Yeah it was. It was the
first all of the year, I believe, but it wasn't
last year.
Speaker 7 (01:45:05):
I feel like when the when something is is everyone knows,
you know, Like I feel like they will try to
swear about somehow, even if it's the announced Ria is
the partner, and then she gets taken out, you know,
at the last second, and Funk's like, hold on, I'm
gonna make a phone call, you.
Speaker 3 (01:45:22):
Know or whatever.
Speaker 7 (01:45:24):
Uh, it wouldn't surprise me. But of course it's absolutely
one hundred percent going to be a jay Lee.
Speaker 5 (01:45:29):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:45:30):
And I love a good mixed time. But I'll say.
Speaker 7 (01:45:34):
Mickey Bella is she's not that great in her in
her prime and that was ten years ago, and she
hasn't wrestled in and she also has I think the
bad next too, and it's just like, why are we
bringing it?
Speaker 3 (01:45:47):
Like, you know, I hope she performs great. I hope
everything goes great.
Speaker 7 (01:45:50):
But I just feel like it's setting his tough up
for failure by throwing somebody that hasn't been out there.
Speaker 3 (01:45:56):
And wasn't that great. They were great supposedly.
Speaker 1 (01:46:01):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:46:02):
It just seems agressive people for disaster. I think.
Speaker 8 (01:46:07):
There's valid concern there, But I will say to her credit, One,
even if aj Lee isn't on the level of today's
women's wrestlers, she's better than Nikki Bella.
Speaker 3 (01:46:21):
Well. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:46:22):
Two, I think aj Lee has been putting She has
the advantage of being married to an active wrestler, so
she's been probably been putting some ring time in and
some quality ring time into it the very least shake
off some rust. I think there's even some footage out
there of them practicing in the ring together. Also, aj
(01:46:47):
did do has she has kind of shaken a little
bit of the rust off because she did some work
I think in Heels season two, The Steven.
Speaker 7 (01:46:57):
Emel Show that that's the footage you're referring to, have
them working out was done training for that Stow?
Speaker 4 (01:47:03):
Yeah, so I mean she's been shaking some rust off.
It was that was she was? She wasn't it something
else she did. She wasn't in the the rest of
the movie.
Speaker 3 (01:47:13):
I don't think she could. I think she was an
announcer or something like.
Speaker 4 (01:47:18):
That in the movie that came out earlier this year.
Speaker 3 (01:47:21):
Right, was she in the I don't think she was
in the Queen of the Ring Queen.
Speaker 4 (01:47:27):
That's that's that. That's the one. Yeah, I was trying
to think of she was involved in that and I
can't remember.
Speaker 1 (01:47:30):
Yeah, I don't think.
Speaker 3 (01:47:31):
I don't recall her being involved in that, But that
doesn't mean she wasn't.
Speaker 4 (01:47:34):
Okay, But yeah, she was definitely involved in the Heel
season two. So there's again, is she gonna come out
there and look like EO Sky?
Speaker 3 (01:47:42):
No?
Speaker 8 (01:47:43):
But I think there's at least some reason for optimism
that she can come out there and look reasonably competent, right,
and at the very least looked better than Nicky Bella did.
Speaker 7 (01:47:56):
I think I think we thrown this fantasy match out before,
you know, like I wouldn't be cool to say that,
so it's kind of funny that actually now would do it.
Speaker 4 (01:48:08):
Yeah, and the pop is going to be massiveinate that.
Speaker 7 (01:48:15):
I get the shackdowns in Chicago, But like, I feel
like giving us a j lee immediately will be too soon.
Speaker 3 (01:48:21):
I think they need to milk it more. That's why
I want them to tell us it's gonna be.
Speaker 7 (01:48:24):
Ria, or strongly hint that it's gonna be Ria, and
then Fainton frets and it's not real.
Speaker 8 (01:48:30):
It's really a problem is Ria is currently tied up
in something, so it doesn't it wouldn't make much sense
to pull her out of her thing with Oscar and
EO and them just to go, you know, lend a
hand in the punk. I feel maybe as much as much.
And and you're you're absolutely right. When it seems super obvious,
(01:48:51):
they try do try to find some way to swerve us.
I just I almost kind of wonder from my is
it so obvious? Is that anything any attempt to swerve
could go the wrong way for the person that they
try to swerve us with, Like I think somebody floated
the idea, or if they go with Page instead of
(01:49:12):
AJ And.
Speaker 4 (01:49:14):
I'm like, that would go very bad for Page. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:49:19):
Yeah, But if Paige is gonna come back to the
WWE let her come back on her own terms of
being its own thing. If she is used as a
swerve for aj Lee, oh, that will go all kinds
of bad for her. Fans will turn on her quick.
That will not be a pot that she gets what
her music. It will be a fucking boy, especially in Chicago,
(01:49:45):
sh at her. And then that would in turn ruin
the moment when we finally do get Paige, because you've
pissed off the fans and then it's now you're trying
to win back angry fans.
Speaker 3 (01:49:57):
See.
Speaker 7 (01:49:57):
That's why I like that role, because I feel she's bulletproof. Well,
I think I don't think she would have and I
don't think the fans would.
Speaker 3 (01:50:05):
Be pissed off. Uh, And I think you're absolutely right
that they wouldn't be if it was say a Page
or something like that. I don't think. I think. I
don't think Ritt could do anything.
Speaker 7 (01:50:18):
I think Ya could go out and take a shit
in the ring and everyone would cheer wildly.
Speaker 3 (01:50:24):
Like I think she is is bulletproof right now.
Speaker 4 (01:50:28):
Oh, you ain't got to tell me twice.
Speaker 8 (01:50:30):
I've been on the you know, talking about you know,
her blind the blind loyalty that she has from the fans.
Right now, I even think a moment like this, though,
could potentially be a test of it. You would probably
still get a pop, yes, but it'd be a Yeah,
it'd be a bit of a disappointing Hey Rea, glad
(01:50:52):
to see, but you know who want wanted to see.
But okay, I think it'd be a pop, But I
don't know how. I don't know if it would as
enthusiastic of a pop, because again, the fans in this
moment very clearly want one thing, and I think to
give them anything, even rear ripley, but anything short of
(01:51:15):
that one thing.
Speaker 4 (01:51:17):
Is dangerous.
Speaker 7 (01:51:18):
Clear I think they are going to give them that,
saying just I don't you just don't think they should
give it to them immediately. I think they should make
you wait for it a little bit, make your salivate
a little bit, you.
Speaker 4 (01:51:29):
Know, if you're gonna make it.
Speaker 7 (01:51:31):
If you're going from from there's no possibility whatsoever of
a j Lee ever wrestling again to a j Lee
is back in under a week.
Speaker 3 (01:51:40):
I think that's too bad.
Speaker 4 (01:51:43):
Yeah, if you're if you're not going to give us
AJ in Chicago, don't give us anything.
Speaker 8 (01:51:50):
Tease it, but don't don't. My thing would be, don't
throw out a substitute, don't pump fake us if you
either give us a J or tease AJ in some way,
shape or form.
Speaker 3 (01:52:04):
Yeah, I mean, maybe he says like.
Speaker 7 (01:52:07):
I got somebody in mind, but we're gonna fill on
the paperwork first, or something somethingthing that just dragging along
a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:52:13):
Yeah, I don't know what type of.
Speaker 8 (01:52:16):
Yeah, I don't know what type of symbolism you could
use to represent a j Lee or anything like that, But.
Speaker 4 (01:52:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:52:26):
Maybe he says, maybe he uses her lot what was
her interesting? Lighted up or something like that, Yeah, light up.
Maybe maybe he gives a tease like that, like I
got somebody in mind and when she come best belief,
we're gonna light it up, or something like that.
Speaker 1 (01:52:40):
Maybe like that he made a mistake on Raw when
he asked, like, where's all gonna be SmackDown? He's like,
we're smackedown, gonna be next week Like Chicago, he should
be like, good, light it up.
Speaker 8 (01:52:53):
Yeah, I agree that was way too heavy handed by
doing that. I think they should have They should reversed it.
They should have had AJ. I mean, they should have
had Seth and Becky say that they were going to
show up in Chicago and then let everybody be hyped
and anticipation of Punk showing up as well, and then.
Speaker 4 (01:53:14):
We could, you know, speculate about AJ or something like that.
Speaker 8 (01:53:20):
But the fact that they went with you know, Punk
first being the one who appear in Chicago for one,
why that's the first thing, Like, it doesn't make On
the first hand, it doesn't make much sense for him
to appear in Chicago other than for any reason other
than the fact that it's in Chicago. So is he
(01:53:40):
just gonna come up in Chicago just to cut a promo?
Like I On the one hand, I don't like that
because that's taking time away from SmackDown talent who should
be getting at their time on that show. But it
said somebody's going to lose out on a time or
lose out on a segment just so this raw guy
(01:54:00):
can come out and cut a promo and he's about
his wife that again, like that I don't like.
Speaker 4 (01:54:08):
I think it would have been better if they would
have gone with Seth Rollins is gonna appear in Chicago.
Speaker 8 (01:54:15):
There would be justifiable reason for it because right now
he's the only active champ really appearing on TV regularly
because our WW champion is somewhere Sonic booming a person
in the face.
Speaker 4 (01:54:26):
So for all intentsive purposes, Seth.
Speaker 8 (01:54:30):
Is the top guy right now as the champ, So
if he pulls double duty on both shows for a
few weeks, it makes sense. So they could have gone
that route first, and Becky, you know, tags along with
him because she's his wife, and then you get to
the punk showing up and then to the aj Lee
joining him as well.
Speaker 4 (01:54:51):
I think that would have been a better route to go.
Speaker 1 (01:54:56):
Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 3 (01:54:58):
Well, we'll see what they do.
Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
Say what they do, man, I'm pretty excited. Sucks is
being waste on a SmackDown, but whatever.
Speaker 8 (01:55:09):
Yeah, it sucks that it's gonna be the SmackDown before
the spackdown that they come to us because this is
gonna be a big high in Chicago. Does that mean
the following spackdown is gonna be a letdown? I would
hope not, considering they you know, they got this whole
rescl bal loser thing they got to build up in
three weeks which means they got Chicago, Norfolk and whoever
(01:55:29):
the fuck is after us. I think they would have
to kind of bring it for all these shows to
build up this thing.
Speaker 4 (01:55:38):
But we'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:55:39):
Yeah, uh Doyle, do you want to plug anything before
we go?
Speaker 3 (01:55:47):
Oh? Man, no, just you know, I'm gonna decie if
you want to chop it up and give a.
Speaker 12 (01:55:56):
Like to the Facebook page BCW Podcast Championship breast it.
Speaker 1 (01:56:01):
Nice, Dre, you want to plug anything?
Speaker 8 (01:56:07):
As always, Instagram dot com slash PCW podcast. As I've
already alluded to, Raw will be in my town next week,
not Raw spack Down. We'll be in my town next
week at the Norfolk Scope. So I will be there
and I will be uploading picks to the I G
from there.
Speaker 4 (01:56:26):
All right?
Speaker 7 (01:56:28):
Oh yeah, awesome, Uh yeah, I got oh yeah, look
look for look for look for the PCW logo in
the background and on Telation this week.
Speaker 3 (01:56:37):
Oh oh yeah, I'll be there.
Speaker 1 (01:56:42):
I'll be there, fucking awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:56:44):
Man.
Speaker 8 (01:56:45):
All right, I gotta think about what I'm gonna wear
the row, depending on where I see SI. If I
sit across from the hard cam shirt, I put on
a PCW shirt I was playing on just rocking and
regular j so ye.
Speaker 4 (01:56:56):
Jank this guy.
Speaker 1 (01:56:59):
Yeah, get yourself pc w S if you don't have
