Rubén Darío. (Metapa, República de Nicaragua, 18 de enero de 1867 - León, República de Nicaragua, 6 de febrero de 1916). Poeta, periodista y diplomático, está considerado como el máximo representante del modernismo literario en lengua española.
Su nombre completo es Félix Rubén García Sarmiento. Su familia paterna era conocida como los Daríos, y por ello adopta apellidarse Darío.
