Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Columbus Hastings and DMAC on demand. Listen to
PhD Live every weekday from noon to three on Altitude
Sports Radio ninety two five and on the Altitude Sports
Radio app.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Broncos will beat the Jets in my opinion thirty four
to thirteen. I don't hear anybody on the station saying
anything else but a Bronco's victory will happen. But we'll
get into We got so much good stuff today, it's crazy.
But just as we just get going, any other hesitations,
gott you good to see you, man. I'm sorry you

(00:36):
weren't feeling so hot yesterday.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Still feeling bad.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
We sent the picture of the None of the Die
and I said, she feels better than I do right now.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
She was one hundred and six years o six on.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
She just retired.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
She just retired. There's some beautiful poetry with all of that,
and I think she's an amazing person and has an
amazing life. Kind of an inspiration. But yeah, she just
retired one hundred and six. So you're feeling worse than
one hundred and six year old nun who's sat.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
A hundred six year old dead person. Okay, yeah, I'm
glad you got that. Yeah, because you know she's probably
having a new body and around.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
She's where are you?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I was somewhere between COVID and head cold.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Okay, somewhere floating somewhere in there there.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, I'm glad you're here.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Are you feeling good enough to well, you know, a
couple of hours?

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yeah, okay, I almost turned around on the road, but
you know I did. I ordered sandwich, and so I
don't want to waste twenty dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Not I want to waste, say, cost twenty bucks, not
where he goes. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
So okay, anyway, that's right.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Let me just say this before we get all set
on what the Broncos. How easy this game the Jet's
gonna be?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, you watch that game last night?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Hell yeah? What what am I wearing today?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
The Jets? The Jets now become a trap game? Oh man?
A couple of days off.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Right, they've been talking about this is a trap game
all week.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
You know, Scott's talking about the Giants. You mean giants?
The Giants?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Well, I don't know what giants a trap.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I always consider the game that you don't care about,
or you think it's gonna be easy as the trap
that would yet, so I think it's the trap game
people are thinking about because you just had a big
win against Philadelphia. Well, the Giants said, hold your horses,
that win wasn't as good as you all thought it was.
He and we're gonna be waiting here for ten days. Yeah,

(02:29):
while you're eating.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
You know, the schedule makers really did the Broncos no
favors on this one going across the pond to London,
and and the Giants get a long week, Like, that's
not right, that's that's not funk. I don't care what
the team was. I mean, obviously, I'm not like overly
scared of the Giants, but you respect the hell out
of the Giants. It's a team that you could lose
for you just don't you don't do that with the schedule.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
The Giants have beaten the Eagles and the Chargers. They
have a They are the most exciting team right now.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
And the Jackson Dart did make me laughed my ass
off last night when he high five that referee. I
couldn't help him laugh my ass off at that.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
That was awesome.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I was like, you know what, just like that, I
love you. I mean he's you know what he's gonna be.
He's gonna be the next Baker Mayfield, but he's gonna
do with more swagg like even more Swagan Baker does.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
He What they are is a team now being run
by two young fellaws, Yeah, that have young fellow enthusiasm, excitement,
and the energy. I gotta believe in New York is
going nuts for those I mean my got songs going

(03:39):
on Instagram day and also my algorithms. I watched one
video scattery that I sent you guys, I end up
getting fifty others, you know, from It's amazing another number
of people that have been, you know, sending out these
crazy videos. Then I start getting Peyton Hillis videos and I'm.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Saying, okay, okay, who.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Is camp scattab And I'm like, okay, it's like if.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
A baby Well, I was thinking Hills, Chris Cooper and
Chris Cooper. Yeah, and because he catch ball to now
and uh, what's my what's the big blocking tight end
the charger's hand forever, I mean full back the charger
Lorenzo Neil. I think he's a commination. I think Neil
can I just Cooper all had a baby.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Can you talk to me about Chris Cooper's hands.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
You mean, Marie Cooper, Chris Cooper, Chris Cooper.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Are you talking about our guy? No?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Not Chris Cooper Cooley, Chris Cooley.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Chris Coo Cooly, Okay, I wouldn't. I wasn't trying to
call you out for dat. I was just legitimately like,
what the hell is he talking about? Chris Cooley? Who
I love? Chris? He's my boy, my boy, talk about
the most interesting man on earth. That dude seem like
that guy. That dude is straight out of Dosaki's commercial.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
They were describing cats. I feel you out as a
as a meat as a.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Mead a little Minaji twine.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
You like meatheads? Meatheads are fun in football. Who doesn't
like a good meatacks.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
And a lot of rough tight ends aren't kind of meatheads?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Yeah? I mean, listen, Camp's Kataboo is going to average
about three point four eight yards per carry over the
course of his career. But he's gonna be willing to
give him sef CT every single time he does it,
and he's gonna be a load of fun to watch, and.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
He's gonna blow at least one, if not two people
up every game, So.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
What would you rather have a guy like that or
RJ Harvey who may break two or three runs a year.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Rather, I'd rather I was. I'm glad you brought that
because that was gonna be my topic today. I'm like,
they screwed up in this draft?

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Did for?

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Was I not clamoring for Scantaboo the whole stupid mock
draft stuff we were doing.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
I've been telling you guys about Skattaboo since last fall
because nobody was watching ASU games because they're so late
at night except your boy over here and you not
you guys. But I was treated like, oh, what a
joke because of how short he was. And I'm like,
wait and see, wait and see, wait and see, and
hey had that epic game Texas. I'm like, and people
still dismissed him because of his size, and I I

(06:05):
think it's a terrible mistake that the Broncos made. There's
no doubt you'd rather have Cam Scataby than Nargie Harvey.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
And I could fight it. I could argue, I could
argue it and and and I love cam' scattaboy as
much as everybody else. So I'm not I'm not trying
to knock him at all here because he has just
flat out a blast to watch play football, like that's
how football is supposed to be played. But I could,
I could make the argument and it's not too tough.
I mean, listen, Cam is going to be limited. You
know what He's going to be the rest of his career,
and that's really a second running back. That's what you

(06:32):
want him as. You want him as a specialty type
of runner that will be in there in specialty type
of situations.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
R J.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Harvey still does have the ability to be at every
down back right and Cam Cam will never be that.
He won't be like this. He'll have spurts where he'll
be featured. But in the long run of his career,
he's going to be a specialty back that is going
to be used quite a bit. But R J. Harvey,
although not there right now, does have the ability to

(06:59):
be in every down.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I don't know, man, I think RJ. All right, simple question,
would you rather have Cam Skattabou and JK. Dobbins or
R J Harvey?

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Okay, well, I mean if I got JK. Dobbins, yeah,
I'd love to have Camp Skataboo. But are we gonna
have JK.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Dobbins forever, not forever, But how long do you need
somebody for? By the way, like, what's the magic year?

Speaker 3 (07:18):
I think to plan a four year contract?

Speaker 2 (07:22):
You don't think kamp Scattoboo's going to be an effective
runner for four years?

Speaker 3 (07:25):
We were talking about JK oh Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
I mean, I'm just talking about the criticism I hear
about Camskataboo is. And you're saying kind of about R. J. Harvey, like,
but term, he's gonna be good, But it's like, who
cares about the longer term when he comes running back?

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I don't. I actually don't know that kamp Scatboo is
gonna how much longer shelf life than four or five
years total?

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (07:46):
I don't think so either. But I don't care because
I think that's the way running backs are. I want
a running back. I don't need to develop running backs.
We can just draft new running backs every three four years.
There'll be new guys that come along. I'm not worried
about that. What I want out of my running backs
it is an immediate impact if I'm drafting them, immediate impact,
and that's what he's given them. And listen, I got
no beats with RJ. Harvey whatsoever. But in my opinion,

(08:09):
that's a miss by the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Nineteen carries, ninety eight yards three touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
It would have been over one hundred, but he got
penalty yards and like, I guess that counts again. Shift
for your what he was he hadn't They haven't had
a three touchdown running back since like the fifties or something,
a long time between Cam and the Philly right, I
don't think he had three touchdowns for the Giants.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
One between Cam and Jackson Dart and the young energy
they got going on all of a sudden. The Giants
are one of the more fun teams NFL to watch.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, and that is going to be, boy, that's going
to be one hell of a game with the Broncos
and the Giants on your reunion weekend for Super Bowl fifty.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
And you know what about Brian day Ball, who we
all questioned for playing Russ. Maybe it was good, but
I will.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Say this, he had a funny moment.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Yes, you didn't hold on it too long, did he?

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Dude, you didn't hold on to that started too long
for it? What d is about to bring up?

Speaker 3 (08:56):
That was? I mean that was so old school. I
loved it because it brought me active memories of my
playing days. I mean, I can't tell you I've been
in that situation. I've been the player next to a
doctor as my coach is straight up cussing him out
for not getting me back out on the field and
quick enough. When when day Ball went after that, that
that doctor, that was epic. It gosh, it was just

(09:17):
it was flashbacks of the good old days.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
So Dark goes for concussion check into the blue tent.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Hey, they're gonna be people checking on him every.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
D day Ball is going nuts, and he explained it
later like, hey, I gotta know whether to call this
time out or not. It's just tell me if he's
gonna be okay or if he's not gonna be okay.
Scataboo goes into the tent to check on him, and
day Ball is melting down when he puts Russ in
and Russ does not have a couple of good plays
there and did not go Russ's way for a couple

(09:47):
of plays in there. So I was like, you know,
a meltdown on the doctor and there is listen. I
don't know if it's directly about Russ. Maybe it's more
about how much you want at Jackson Dart, but it
is being interpreted that this is how much you don't
want Russ in the game, the degree that you're melting
down on the doctor to get Jackson Dart.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Well, I would say this, most teams would probably feel
the same way when you're when your starter's in the tent,
your backup's coming in, even even.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Yeah, I guess you're here. You're backup is the guy
that you got in free agency for ten million dollars
and is a borderline Hall of famer. That's where he's
gone in Dable's eye. That's where Dable is right now
in terms of how he views things.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I was on the sideline one time and my index
finger was in an L shape, and and and and
and my they're they're yanking on this thing and they
can't get the damn thing back. They just can't pop
it back in. My coach walks over, says, what's wrong
with them? Well, his fingers in and out, we'll pop
it in. We're trying.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Let's go. I gotta I gotta know if I gotta
call a timeout or not. There's a timeout on the line.
Is his head messed up or not, because I got
a time out here. Meat head football. That is the
New York Giants right now. Baby, it is meathead football,
and it's exciting and skataboo with Ryan Fitzpatrick ripping his

(11:07):
shirt off.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
I'm still not that convinced that Jackson Darts any good,
but he's fun to watch. He's fine. I don't know
if he's any good either.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Yeah, I don't know if he's a ten year guy
or you know what he is, but he's the.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Right guy right now.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
He's a leader. Yeah, and it's to see vets circle
around a rookie is pretty cool. They're riding that wave
right now. Big Blue is riding and we get to
see it in person next Sunday, and we're gonna have
some lengthy investigations. Is not going to be like this
Jets game, that game against the Giants. Who's just a
two and fourteen? But boy, oh boy, is that a

(11:40):
different story.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Well, and then you got another young athlete that brings
the mom.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
To the table, brings some mom to the table.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
It's on that. Oh you haven't seen Jackson Dart's mom.
I have.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
He's a good looking guy. Let me just say that
phenomenal looking.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Dude, probably probably real stretchy too.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
All right, it's a bud Light Football Friday. Bud Light
You doing okay?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
All right? No, I don't feel good.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
The official beer sponsor of the Denver Broncos. Remember to
enjoy responsibly. We do have some Broncos news from across
the pod. Details on that. Next, our salute to English
music rolls on. Because I'm a creep? The hell's wrong
with me? An altitude? I don't talk about any song

(12:33):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
I feel this should be like damns, like themes are.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Creepy.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
It was nickname when he first got You are sitting
here talking about Jackson Dart's bomb Hell.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
You want to talk about Bill Belichick again? Scott? Huh?

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Scott doesn't have his headphones on yet.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Dan, Bill Belichick's girlfriends on us.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
She's legal too.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
You're a creep? Go on, come on, Scot, good song though,
great song.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
I'm all weener.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
What the hell am I gonna do?

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Now?

Speaker 4 (13:25):
Could you not hear this song and think of Cartman
though singing it on?

Speaker 2 (13:30):
It's the Injury Report powered by Ramos Law, the official
injury law firm of the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Out.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Jona Ellis is out out so tending to go that way,
and that's got to be a surprise for them too,
because if they felt bad about him in the first place,
they wouldn't have even taken him to England. So so
out questionable as Malcolm Roach. But that actually feels like
he's gonna go. Like it's their rad of rock and
roll with Malcolm Roach, which is a good thing. Jets

(14:00):
are strong with the run and that's you know, his
job to be a big, huge dude that just you know, yes,
your take up space. That's his job. Meanwhile, for the Jets,
Michael Carter the second is out. Alan Lazard has a
personal issue. He's had that all week. He's out questionable,
Brandon Stevens and JaMarcus Weston with a croin. Other than that,

(14:26):
everybody else is good. So that's how it sets up
there for the injury stuff, any you know, Malcolm Roach,
John Ellis, any issue there one way or the other.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Well, Joe Ellis has been great. We got lots of
pass rushers, so fortunately you've got other capable bodies.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
You know, who's up then is Kei Robinson time to
time to go? My man?

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Cool cool? So yeah, yeah, he did some good things
in the preseason.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
All right, here is we'll give you a little like.
All right, the old line did go down. It would
from I'll give you a couple of like okay, because
I still think they're going to kill the Jets, but
the line did go from seven and a half to
six and a half. And this Giants, this Eagles win. Rather,
there's a little shine off this Eagles win because of

(15:15):
what the Giants just did to it.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Yeah, I think. Oh, but I was getting hated on
all week for not calling a statement when.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Okay, yeah, by the way, not that I want to
take another victory lap and I told you so, Mountain,
but if you will, I will right now. I said,
if the Broncos can be plus two and give away takeaway,
they'd blow out the Eagles. The Giants were plus two yesterday.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Well how is that? How is that?

Speaker 4 (15:40):
I told you so?

Speaker 2 (15:40):
But because it's a whole different game, because the Eagles
are weak, they're soft, and they were hanging in there
because they weren't making any mistakes.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Now they're making mistakes.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Yeah, well they did last night. They had an interception
in a fumble and that's very unusual by the way
the tush push four times in a row. All right,
I kind of get people that hate the tush push.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
I know.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
I mean, I'm not against it and I don't think
it should be banned.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
But that was pretty ugly.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
Just go get you a scatter boon do him four
times a row?

Speaker 2 (16:09):
What it's just?

Speaker 3 (16:10):
I mean, I ask you a serious questions, like if
they're if they're willing to do that four times in
a row. And I've been about a staunch of a
toush push supporter as there is, And even I was like, yeah,
that ain't pretty. That ain't fun to watch, Like, come on,
what are we doing? If they're gonna do that four
times in a row, why wouldn't you just do it
every play when you pass the forty yard line, average
two and a half three yards of pop there, you

(16:32):
pick up a first down, take your chances, keep going right,
come up with three or four little uh trick plays
off of it, run those every now and then be like, uh,
you know you.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Could run it three times in a row, and you
have an option use it like play action. I don't know,
You're right, it's I guess until somebody does it. I've
never seen they ran it from like the four yard.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Have they ever done that before? Have they ever done it?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Was a weird situation because they could get a first
down inside like the two, so they did it to
get the first down. But now we're inside the two.
So while we're here, let's do it a couple of
more times.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
So maybe we need to ban how many times they
could do it in a row.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
It looked ridiculous and it's hard. It's just like, okay,
that is what it is.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
You got your butt kick and you still got to
do what you want to do.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
So what Oh no, I got you.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
I'm not it's like thirty one dive off the wing
t formation.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
I'm not for bandit either, but it was definitely a moment.
If you're an anti tush pusher, there you go, all right,
here you go with the Jets.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
Sean Payton, Yeah, there's a number of things. Obviously, they're
running the ball extremely well, really well. We've seen fields
and you know his explosiveness, he's involved in the run game.
I think the runners having one of his better seasons.
The young receiver is explosive. You know, the run game

(17:54):
is going to be really important, and then offensively, you
know that first half last week. Eliminate some of the
self inflicted, the things that slow you down or keep
you from, you know, getting momentum. They do a really
good job in the special team's face.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Are you guys buying any of this stuff? Buying any
of it?

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Again?

Speaker 4 (18:18):
And I and I think we said this Philadelphia, it's
not really gonna be about the Jets.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Feel me about you.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
You know, you you end up beating Philadelphia because maybe
dmac is right, they're a soft team and you only
played one quarter. You gotta play more than one quarter.
You come out and if you're right, if your offense
isn't going six of the first seven possessions punting, then
then you're gonna be Okay.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
This is all about you. This game is about you.
What are you and who are you? Yeah, to keep
it simple, stupid game, that's what it needs to be.
I think as a play caller, a lot of times
when you look at games like this and you're like,
all right, we should have some success. Well, you're you're
tempted to put things on film that you just want
other teams to study, things that you're not really playing
on running, whether it's a trick play, whether it's just formations,

(19:09):
whether it's tendency breakers, you know. But the dumbest thing
you could do is have some wide receiver double screen.
They throws the ball down the field and he tosses
an interception. Just keep it simple, stupid, at least until
you get out to a lead. And then if you
want to dink around a little bit and put some
stuff on film, you can do that. And defensively, you know,

(19:29):
I mean, I hate to tempt fate the way that
the Steelers did against a Tim Tebow, but I mean,
you know, they suck at throwing the ball. They're great
a running the ball, take it away. Make them beat
you at something else. They might not suck it throwing
the ball.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
But you guys got you want to throw out a score?
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Twenty four to thirteen?

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Okay, you got a little more, you got got a
little relatively close.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
It's London, it's weird, it's sleepy, you're tired, your body
just got changed.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yeah, do you catch what they did today? By the way,
so there's no police escorts out there, and their thirty
minute drive became an hour drive to Tottenham's training facility
because it's just London. Traffic, so maybe they made arrangements.
They must have had made some arrangements. They just went
outside of where they're staying in their castle because it
got just a big lawn out there today. They were

(20:20):
just out there. They just want They did paint the field, so.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
It had to the hell would they have a painted field?

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Yeah, no, they had to plan it to a degree.
I guess maybe they did plan it for Friday. But
I was told, you know, reading the reports that the
commute had become kind of sucky too. You know, they
probably had the option to do either, frankly, you know,
and they they they chose today just to walk outside.
I mean, they had goalposts up there too, so they're
having some sort of preparation, no doubt. I bet they

(20:50):
had the option. I bet they They were prepared to
do it, you know, one way or the other. But
driving an hour in traffic was you know, we'll.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Just go outside the traffic. The bus rides were a
lot long. No police, they said they were supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
It's like, oh man, where's our police escort? What do
you got? First course? God, come on?

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Uh twenty three to ten, twenty three, ten, maybe twenty
three nine. Again this defense is not gonna let them.
If you can hold Philadelphia to seventeen points, I think
this offense in as good as Phillies.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
I don't see them moving the ball a lot on you.
I think Malcolm Roach coming back will be a big
time for him to come back because their one strength
is his one strength, and I think that helps you.
LEGGI said that on Wednesday. So I don't think they're
gonna be able to move the ball. And the question
can be what's your offense gonna be? Are they are
they gonna show.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Up the Jets offense or these the Broncos are just
gonna pound away at them. They're gonna just force the issue.
I think they're gonna, you know, test the will of
the Jets. So it could be like you guys are saying,
I got it higher scoring because I just, you know,
I think the Jets are just gonna quit. But okay, sure,
I mean, if they're just gonna take thirty four to thirteen.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Oh that is pretty high scored.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Yeah, I mean very similar. I see it kind of
like last night's game. I think they're gonna get a
couple turnovers and that's gonna be way too much for
the Jets as it was too much for the Eagles,
and you're just gonna go from there. And I think
they're similar to the game last night. I think the
Broncos are just gonna keep pounding the ball. Seriously, I
think they're gonna pound away. I think you could have
a big game from R. J.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Harvey.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
It's not Camp's kataboo, Barnes skataboo too. You realize it's
his energy. It's just everything. It's the it's the whole package.
It's not you know, a lot of running backs perhaps
could do what he's doing.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Taking your shirt off on Prime post all.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
It's it's like, like, we're a cool team. It's cool
to like this team, Like check this out. It's meathead football.
Meathead football is fun.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Kind of when did the Giants when they were winning
Super Bowls when to kind of meadhead football, at least
with parcels.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Maybe, I mean it was old school for sure. So
teams that play in London and have been favored by
four more points they are sixteen to nine, which is
that that's actually a little bit on the high side.
So you know, history tells you that the favorite usually
does handle their business. When they're over in London.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Yeah, I think listen, man, we'll be watching the game
getting up after church. We didn't see later the whole thing,
And I just think this is going to be one
of them games that were just like, oh yeah, you
know they won that one too. I do believe that's
the way it's going to be. I think next week
against the Giants, where so many of the odds are

(23:44):
stacked against the Broncos. I mean, you want to talk
about like a rough home game to have. Look at
next week against the Giants and perhaps hey, are there
other like things planned next week to honor Super Bowl
fifty even like during the week, like you guys invited
out to practice at all or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Mabe. We've got a full weekend of activities, but just on.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
The weekend, yeah okay.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I mean we're doing some stuff unrelated to the team,
like that we're going to the Boys and Girls Club
on Tuesday because that was DT's favorite thing to do.
So there's some stuff throughout the week, but I don't
think any even involves the team.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
I'm just wondering if there's a spirit of you know
that that you know, some intangible stuff that that matters.
It doesn't matter. I know the game starts and it
is what it is, But the Giants are gonna be hyped.
You just got to put these Jets down like the
sad dog they are and then just pound them into submission.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Let have team take an early flight home.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
We got some David Adelman stuff I want to throw
your way, and we'll get into the the abs and
the whole thing. But there is something interesting about David Adelman.
Did you see he put up a Latin quote in
the practice facility.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
That's all the picture.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
How's your Latin? Tyler Scott? Where are you guys on Latin?

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Read it to me?

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Can I spell it for you?

Speaker 3 (25:06):
And you can?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Well, I don't know how to. I'm not good on
the Latin. It's age one word?

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Okay, okay?

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Q U O D do you.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
A good quote?

Speaker 2 (25:21):
A G I S.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
I'll just what does it mean?

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Uja quote? Here is David Adelman. This is huge by
the way that he put up in the facility. So
let's get our Latin or Latin on and why David
Adelman put up this garganguan Latin statement in the Nuggets
practice facility.

Speaker 6 (25:46):
Ah, that is just something I've always lived by something
I've always loved.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
You know it.

Speaker 6 (25:52):
Basically, it just means do what you are doing. That
means if you're you know right now, if you're working
in PD, then work on and be fully concentrated on
what you're trying to do.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
If you're at home with your family, be with your family.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
And I think in today's world, we're all thinking about
three different things at once and that leads to a
lot of subpar activity in life. So it's just something
I told them about that I believe in, just to
stay in the moment. It's a long season, and that
that quote.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Means a lot.

Speaker 6 (26:20):
It's real simple, but nothing is these days, and simplicity
usually wins out.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
It's ultimately an anti multitasking thing. So if you're doing
something else besides being engaged in this conversation right now.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
All right, I'll put my phone down.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
You're not going along with a quad, I gus, be
present whatever you're doing in that moment, be present.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
Can we just said be where your feet are?

Speaker 2 (26:52):
It's the same thing.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Yes, maybe the Greek translation be where you're feet are.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Wouldn't the guys have understood it a little bit better
if it said where your feet are.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Yeah, but you know what that does by putting it
up and what's that you have to make them look
it up and see what it means. Yeah, but what
if they don't look it up, then you got the
wrong guys?

Speaker 3 (27:12):
That was that was you know that? You know that
was a Josh McDaniel's specialty.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
He would put up a thousand different quotes in the
building and in the middle of a team meeting, he'd
be like, hey, pull up, it's stand up. What's the
phrase say about the second cafeteria door as you're walking
through the second opening wall, whatever, the sliding glass in
the door. I'm like, oh god, iron sharpen t iron, No, that's.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
In the trading room. Do a lap?

Speaker 5 (27:45):
What is just.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
You like it?

Speaker 3 (27:49):
You like?

Speaker 2 (27:50):
I mean, you know in the world of motivational you
want me to be honest, of course.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
I find it horribly uninspired. Why first off, it's not
an English I think that's silly. I really do like
just put it in English so I can look at
it every day and I know exactly what it means. Remember,
he's in the generation that doesn't care. He's got I
got accepted this to football Stanford don't you ever forget it? Okay, Yeah,

(28:15):
I got accepted football Stanford. Do you ever get in
football Stanford? No you did not. They look at me. Yeah,
okay and blah. This is blaw.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
So you're inside the Latin quote in the in the.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
It's really big.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
It's really big. You cannot miss it.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
Be in the moment.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
I think he could have done it more simply, but
I think you do that. There's a refinement, David.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
David. Animal's his first year of coaching. Here the full time.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
He's gotta put his own stamp in and he's he's
a being the moment. Guy. Be in this moment, this moment.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Here, Dan, are you aijah?

Speaker 3 (28:54):
He's sitting there, huh. I don't know. She said something
about me not paying attention.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
So if any of us, that's an easy one.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
My guy over there knows that. But you guys are
both kids. No, you should know this one.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
We'll say the clote again.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
I don't know. She said something about me not paying attention.
I wasn't really listening.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
I heard a quote like that, you should I wasn't
pay attention. I go, that's a strange way to start
a conversation.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Dumb and dumber, I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
So from now on, if any of us is not
paying attention and one of us wants to point it out.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
See I can't. I still can't even remember what the
heck the phrase was, but I know.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
It says I want to get the pronunciation. I have
a feeling you're butchering the haillout it.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
I probably am. I you know what's gonna be fun
started saying that I don't know how to speak in
five months.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Let's go. Let's go ask Jamal Murray no to pronounce
what's on the wall.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
You can do that with Jamal. That sounds like fun.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Yeah, you want to do Aaron Gordon, you can do AG.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
I'd happen. I'll definitely ask AG. I got no problems
asking AG that.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
I wonder if there's anybody here that's studied.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
That, huh who who would that?

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Well?

Speaker 4 (30:13):
If he was here, if maybe Dwayne or if DJ
were still.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Here, would not surprise me.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
If DJ would, well, he was taking Japanese classes, So yeah,
I mean, yeah, DJ, for sure I could see.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Aaron Gordon maybe know what that was.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
I could definitely see an AG into that, no doubt.
Plus it starts with Agja or whatever it is. Ajia
quid a just y'all just be where your head is.
That's the Nuggets mantra. At least that's what Adalman wants.
We have some huge breaking news for your Denver Broncos,

(30:49):
big time news. Interesting time to break it too. Details
coming up next. You should head over to number thirty
eight in Rhino today. Was there last night? What a
great great place there in Rhino. Number thirty eight is special.
It's a bud Light Football Friday and Nate Andy are
there at number thirty eight. They'll be live until six o'clock.
You have a chance to win tickets to the Broncos

(31:11):
and the Giants whoof and the bud Light VIP tailgate
courtesy of bud Light, the official beer sponsor of the
Denver Broncos. So we'll see you at number thirty eight
starting at three o'clock. I don't know if this is
the most appropriate song for the following news, but I
guess kids do need an education sort of.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Boys.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
We need to congratulate bo Nix and Isy Smoke. Isy
Smoke on her Insta has posted a picture of her
and Bow walking through a field I think in England.
He is holding a sonogram and the headline is Nick's
party of three and then Jeremiah one to five. Before
I formed you and the womb I knew you before

(31:56):
you were born. I set you apart. This is how
they're using to announce for pregnancy and the young couple,
I have a beautiful home up there in Castle Pines
is gonna have a kid?

Speaker 4 (32:08):
Coolngratulations, you got that big sports news for us Stocking,
that was the breaking Broncos news.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
That is the breaking Broncos was.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Okay, all right?

Speaker 4 (32:19):
I mean, you know Stocker, grandmother king of King of
the radio teas, even if we're lying to the people.
But you know, congratulations though, Is that not big news?

Speaker 3 (32:29):
The young couples having a kid. Yeah?

Speaker 4 (32:31):
Huge fow all right, man, well you set it up.
I'm like toward their a c L. Who are we
getting back? God, Drake Greenlaw ready to rock and roll?

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Cow.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
I thought I was bringing some good news and some
sunshine and some positive energy.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
That would be a great way to tease it. That
would have been perfect.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
You just assumed something negative is going to be happening.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
No. I thought, maybe Drake Greenlock is like breaking they
come back early almighty.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
We can go into the negative.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
He's just more into this. You stalking? Is he?

Speaker 4 (33:03):
Me?

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Stalking?

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Is he? That's illegal most places.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
She put it on Instagram.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
Yeah, but did it pop up in a notification for you?

Speaker 2 (33:12):
It did not. Somebody said it. Actually one of our
Texters had it first.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
They did.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
They look at the text lights off. Yea, god, you
guys holy, I mean, hey, yeah, man.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
I just feel that they were sitting in the home
Depot parking lot and didn't go in because they needed
the Broncos breaking news.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
We can get to what happened in a baseball game yesterday.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Phillies blew.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
Oh my god, dude. All right, let's dan. What do
we got here? Do you got the yeah, well we'll
start with the uh with the play itself. All right,
here we go, gotta find it.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Turn to the play.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Oh my goodness, it throws it away and the Dodgers
of one.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
The Dodgers Extra innings series season on the line. A
comebacker is a twenty four year old Oorrion Kirkering, and
he has two plays to get out of the inning.
And you know what, you just never know. You get
out of that inning, you could win the game. You
win that game. You just never know it ain't over.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
This is this one.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
The series goes to two on the series and hey,
here we go. You know what I'm saying, Like, dude, it's.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Just two outs, two outs. Oh, he's got to throw
the first base.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Scott is painful to watch.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
Yeah, that was one of the more boneheaded baseball players
I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
That's a little league play. Tell me you haven't seen
that a thousand times.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
On thousand and ten times because you lose your composure
and you just don't pick the ball up with the
ball that makes it easy play.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
When the ball did get to clean all it's like
a twenty four second clock right all sudden in your
head it's gonna one, two, three, four or five six.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
And it's not.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
It's not. You got tons of time. It might be
close at first, but you're a pitcher. You practice this.
Pfpsa pitcher, freedlam p. You do this endlessly. You have
your whole life, your step, You make a good throat
at first, you walk home and we'll see what happens.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Because I don't know, didn't pay attention. Are they doing
the stupid started guy on second base?

Speaker 2 (35:16):
No? Nope, nope, nope, No, that's out.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Well, why because it's not real baseball.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Because they changed the rules in football, Basketball, hockey, and
baseball in extra play time in all four sports once
you get to the playoffs, like what, well, maybe not basketball.
Actually basketball is still just five minutes, even in overtime. Yeah,
I guess it is. Hockey is different. Hockey is different,

(35:45):
Football is different. There's no ties in football in the playoffs,
so they just have.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
A running clock though, so now it's very similar to
the current format, other than they would just continue to
play until whatever.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
I guess basketball is the only sort that stays exactly
the same in the playoffs and in the regular.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Tru real basketball, real baseballs. You don't give somebody a ghost.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Runner on what are you up said about?

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Why even put a man there? Just say ghost runner?

Speaker 2 (36:12):
You were upset about a rule that's quick in games
and gets was satisfying and one hundred and sixty we.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Talk about it with you here.

Speaker 4 (36:19):
I don't care about the quickness of the game. Okay, No,
they used to put a guy on second even in
the playoffs. It's fun, doesn't forget forget baseball? Where's your tradition?

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Where's your heart?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
For?

Speaker 2 (36:33):
From thirty seven feet away he put it nine feet
over the catcher's head. It was so far away from
the catcher. The runner for the Dodgers actually missed the plate.
He ran past, and he came back and tagged it.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Well, it's really fun.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
I don't know if you saw that he actually come back,
because all I saw was the clips of not touching it.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Oh, he didn't touch the plate.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
He came back, and he had forever to do it.
There was no the ball was who knows where the
ball was.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
I don't know if you heard the interview, but the
interview Bill Buckner, and he even called it stupid playm.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
You're such a jerk.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
It's kind of Bill, You're jerk.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
God, what an easy plays play? What an easy play?

Speaker 3 (37:12):
All right? Uh?

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Here do you have a little of a roar?

Speaker 3 (37:15):
What do you like to go out like that? As
a sportsman?

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Here is Uh, it couldn't happen to a group of
better group of fans though, right, you're not you're not
mourning today for the Philly.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Fans are and we will get to that. Yes, but
do you feel bad for here's a little bit of
orient I feel just.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Kind of once that pressure got to me, I just
thought it was a faster throw the JT lit a
quicker thrower than trying to cross body at the price.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Just yeah, did you did you hear them calling telling
you to go to first at all? Or were you
just in the moment that it wasn't.

Speaker 6 (37:46):
Even just in the Yeah, can you see JT pointing
in that moment or is it just kind of looking up,
just kind of looking up?

Speaker 3 (37:52):
Just be ready?

Speaker 2 (37:52):
All right, that's it. He goes on for about a
minute a half. I give him credit for talking to the meeting.
He's got tears in his eyes. Guys.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Yeah, that sucks.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Yeah, I feel for him. I do feel for him.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
But what you ever felt like you lost the game? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Yeah, I know it, did ye tell I'll tell you that.
But let me just say about this. You said the
first he talked to him, he did. I mean, guys,
and we've seen it in this town. Have a tough game,
but feel like it also don't show up and and
and don't want to talk to media. Man, we saw
it in the Ryder Cup, uh with scottis Scheffler and
and Dave Chambeau after the one day they didn't want

(38:32):
to talk about it.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
I give him a lot of I gave a lot
of credit for talking and my heart breaks.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Get over it and he'll be better. Well, it sticks
with you, but he'll be better.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
That's gonna stick with you.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
Yeah, but but I'm telling you get down and at
least fast en up. No, just bonos in the moment.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
You guys both have felt responsible for blowing a game.
Oh no, But have you ever blown a game that
cost your team a season and cost your team a
chance at the championship?

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Well?

Speaker 4 (39:00):
Miss, the last second shot still count. I at least
took the shot.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
I think I would say the context like, are you
inside the paint? Are you wide open? Are you.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
My last shot of my college career was a baseline
sixteen foot with the clock going three two one, nuss
down one and I thought it was in hit. The
rim bounced straight up and didn't go it. So my
last shot in college was a miss. Could have been
a game game winner.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Yeah, did it cost you, guys anything?

Speaker 4 (39:32):
I was in the season. It was in the inn
the CUAA tournament.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Oh okay, that's a big one.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
Well there you go.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
So you had a you had a moment.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Could have been a hero, you know? Instead I was.
I've kind of had similar experiences to both, right, that's
what you feel like. I mean, one time I was
with the Broncos playing out in Washington against the Redskins.
I was playing for the Broncos. I believe Chris Simms
was our quarterback at the time, if I remember correctly.
For whatever reason, Chris the game in this one and

(40:01):
we were driving to win the game. Two minute drill,
we driven the majority of the field, got down to
like the twenty five yard lines. We weren't quite in
scoring range, but like the drive is going well, you know,
gave up strip sack to Andre Carter who was like
forty eight years old at the time, and final play
that's it, Like Tyler Plumbus gave up stripsacked in the game,
you know. And I remember I had tears in my

(40:23):
eyes after that game, you know, And it was just
it was just a regular season game. It was not
not the end of the season or anything. You know.
I had another one that didn't like end our season,
But I just had a really horrible game in the
final game of a season that was already lost. And
just when you got to taste that the entire offseason
and he got but it was it was my junior

(40:44):
year of college, and I ended up I was going
up against guy who ended up being my teammate for
four years out Washington, Adam Kerriker. We played Nebraska on Thanksgiving,
and good lord, this guy just abused me. I mean
he just he gave me the business. And I had
to I had to taste that. I had to feel that,
live with that the entire offseason, and then I had
to be teammates with a freaking dude. He's the nicest

(41:05):
dude on planet Earth. But I had to be teammates
with the dude for four years knowing that you whooped
my butt in the final game.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
I got something for us all to feel better though.
The Philadelphia fans the New York Giants put up on
their JumboTron the final score of the game for the
Philadelphia Eagles fans and attendance, world class troll the Flyers loss.
The Eagles lost to the Giants, and your Phillies season

(41:34):
ended on a little league air. For all those reasons,
Philadelphia fans, and thank on for the Internet and reaction videos.
We present a montage of Philadelphia. I don't know, We're
not gonna watch. We don't have the digital editing thing.
Dan put them all. It's audio. Here is a reaction
