Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Columbus Hastings and DMAC on demand. Listen to
PhD Live every weekday from noon to three on Altitudes
Sports Radio ninety two five and on the Altitude Sports
Radio app.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Now each tweet it's the ability to refocus on the
next challenge, you know, And I think oftentimes the games
are one lost right here today, tomorrow and Friday. So
these guys understand in our league it's different than college.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
You know.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
We're not getting a chance to play a one double
A or FCF school. These are all professional teams and
we'll handle it that way.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
That's the message, and that's his job. But our job
is a look at things and be like are you
kidding me? And the Jets are one of those teams.
Jeff Legwaald live from England. Awesome, Jeff, brought to you
by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers i b W
Local sixty eight. Start with a job and with the career, Jeff,
I should not be that dazzled by technology, but still

(01:09):
there's something cool about on the other side of the world.
I know, I don't know why I feel that that's
so cool, but I but I do. How you doing?

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Actually, I'm in the next room. I just didn't want
to say anything.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Is that curtains or a flag behind you?

Speaker 6 (01:25):
It's uh, I think some really uh probably curtains from
when I was in high school.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Well, why don't we just start with that, the town,
the location, just the leg school. No, I'm just going
back that. Everything seems to be slower speed, old fashioned.
You're you're in a different time, it feels like. But
tell us, tell us what's like out there with the
logistics and everything about how this week is actually going.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
Yeah, I mean they got the team, uh, north of London.
When he said he wanted to go to the middle
of no where, you know, he wasn't kidding around. Really,
they're in like an old castle type place that's been
turned into a hotel and a h They don't even
have all the team personnel in.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
The same place.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
It's it's the coaches and the players and some other
key folks in one hotel and then the rest of
the traveling party elsewhere. So when he when Sean Payton
said he was gonna, you know, take an all business approach,
he's he's done just that. But they're they're practicing at
Tottenham's the Premier League team's training facility.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Uh, and that's fairly palatial.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
So there they did all right in the battle of
the team's practice facilities. Because I can't imagine the Jets
have something better than what the Broncos have at at Tottenham.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
How is the immaculate How far is the training facility
from where they're staying?

Speaker 5 (02:56):
I think about a half hour forty minutes?

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Right one was really dedicated to be in the middle
of nowhere. He wasn't lying about that.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
How far is your room for the closest pub and
room timperature Guinness.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Across the street, so it wouldn't be far.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
You look like you got your job going out in
a minute to close on.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
You know that's not correct.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
No, I'm still apparently this whole time change thing means
I'm still on deadline, so I've still got some.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Things to do there you go. Hey, hey, when you
look at this game, dmac broke down the Jets a
while ago. What do you see for the Jets? Is
there really any way that the Denver Broncos should or
could lose to the Jets?

Speaker 5 (03:38):
You know, Scotty, I think it's always turnovers.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
You know, your quarterback throws a couple early picks, any
of that stuff is what gets you in trouble against
a team that hasn't done well. So you know, I
I think that's the one thing that gets you. And
you know, Aaron Glenn is a respected so I think

(04:02):
that too is you just hope they don't put together
you know, not lucky, but uh, you know, an opportune
play or a red zone turnover so they get two
short fields and they get ten points.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
They didn't they didn't really earn.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
I think that's the only thing that gets the Broncos
in trouble with this one, because they you know, they've
been pretty focused at least today. You know, the practice
looked very very much like a normal practice. You didn't
see a team that had traveled or was sluggish in
any way.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
What do you make about how Justin Fields has been
playing a quarterback this year?

Speaker 6 (04:40):
Well, I mean some people in the league, I think
part of that's, you know, Tyler to structure what's around him.
That they're this is a rebuilding team that maybe folks
got a little too excited for, you know, talking about
it before the season started. But I don't I don't
know anyone in the league who believes they're they're sort
of their talent level is where it's gonna need to be.

(05:02):
And you know, Fields has the same problem the other
quarterbacks did. When you when you take Garrett Wilson away
from him, you know, what are his options?

Speaker 4 (05:12):
His options are breeze, haul up the middle. I guess,
I mean, but that's it, Jeff, as far as I
can tell, I.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Mean to scream, he can he can hear.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
I'm sorry the microphones.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
They've earned their zero and five that, there's no question
they've They've earned every bit of that.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
What is Malcolm Roach coming up the I R for Dinverban?

Speaker 6 (05:34):
Well, if he played, you know, I'm assuming he looked
pretty good today, So I gotta believe they did this
with the intent of him at least getting some snaps
uh Sunday.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
But you know, he's their.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
Only true No's tackle, So I think it does help
them in their some of their run fits or they've
gotten stung a little bit from time to time this
year since he got hurt, So I think that's the
biggest thing. It makes them more physical upfront, and he
gives them even more ability.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
To play.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Some of those nickel and dime packages on some rundowns.
If they'd like to match up a little better because
he's a little more physical in the middle.

Speaker 7 (06:15):
What do we know about Ben Power's bicep injury?

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Did he tear it?

Speaker 7 (06:18):
Do we know?

Speaker 6 (06:20):
I've been told he tore it and I've reported it
that way?

Speaker 8 (06:23):
Is that?

Speaker 6 (06:24):
And he's had surgery to repair it already, and well,
you know I put in a story and previous players
you know it's been season ending. But behind the scenes,
Sean Payton won't say anything regarding the timetable. But I've
been told behind the scenes that they the best case

(06:47):
scenario is sort of a two month recovery. But look,
you know I was absent today. They taught medical medicine
at medical school. But I've never heard of that. But
that doesn't mean it it couldn't happen.

Speaker 7 (06:59):
Yeah, it's one thing for a wide receiver or something
to come back from a bicep. Then ery quarterback Elway
tour his right and the one Super Bowl year, Oh
that there you go. I guess I wouldn't think that
would be easy, but I would I would think for
an offensive lineman that'd be insanely difficult. All the wrestling
that we're doing in there so is are we think
of Matt Pert is the guy that's filling in.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
You know, that's the way they lined up in camp,
and that's the way they, you know, have done it
when Powers, when they've tried to like give people reps
there when Powers wasn't in practice, or you know, they
were rotating guys in, it was it was Pert. So
I'm you know, until I see otherwise, I think that
will be the move.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
How familiar were you with Sean Payton's career at Leicester
Panthers football when he was at twenty three years of
age over there in England.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
I mean, I know all that league and I knew
he had played in it. And I've actually spoken to
some people in Leicester trying to locate somebody who was
around the team when Peyton was there, but not successful yet.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
But I'm on the case.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Well, tell us about the league and the like, what
the hell was it? And does does that?

Speaker 5 (08:14):
Yeah, it still exists.

Speaker 6 (08:15):
It's it's like a Tier two or Tier three. I mean,
that was a very early version of American football in Europe.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
At the time.

Speaker 6 (08:26):
They had rules of only four American players per team.
It was a lot of teams northern in the country.
You know, not so much London, but you know Lester, Birmingham,
England and some other places had teams.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
It was the.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
You know, British British American Football Association.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
I believe was the name of the league.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
And they actually had relegations in that league, so if
you finished too far to the bottom, you went to
even a tier below.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
I can't believe there were that many teams.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
That's well, I mean you're not talking you're not talking
about full time employees.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
You know, these were guys with jobs during the day.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Who would you know, drive up to practice in there,
you know, plumber van or whatever they were doing.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
So that's the kind of league he was in. And
Sean actually made it.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
Peyton made a joke today about you know, once they
told him he was done there, he knew he was
done done, like he's going to be a coach.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
But I think I think when they made you an
offer there, you might be figured out you were done.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
Well, he said, But uh, you know, they even gave
him a little signing bonus and when he when he
saw it go into his checking account, he figured he
better come come over and actually play. But he actually
was a player coach, he said, the American guys had
to coach during practice a little bit too, so there
must have been.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Quite It sounds like that was kind of a good
thing for him because he was thinking about getting to
coaching anyway, Like this was kind of actually for him.
Made sense, I guess at twenty three.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
Yeah, but I mean the American guys like made the
practice plans and everything for the.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Team, So I think that's pretty funny.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
So is Jeff Legwell gonna get any tourist times? Is
he going to go down to r UP I don't
know which way to London? Or are you gonna go
over to Liverpool and see eleanor Rigby's grave? I mean,
you got any plans like that?

Speaker 5 (10:22):
I have not made any yet, but we'll see.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
Hopefully Saturdays show shapes up to be a little bit
of adventure time.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Hey, the Winston Churchill Museum in London is fantastic.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
I did actually go to that last time the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Were here, So yeah, it's unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
Was cool it is?

Speaker 6 (10:39):
I mean some of it they just it's in the
exact state it was in nineteen forty five.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
I mean, it's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
What a last one for me? What can you compare
this to compare to Greenbrier? Is this really yield Greenbrier?
Greenbrier Part two? The original Greenbrier?

Speaker 6 (10:57):
I think it's probably you know, like like Greenbrier was
in the League of Castles and got relegated. Maybe that's
the way it went. You know, I think this is
a little more old school. You know, here's some built
of humongous stones and things.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
So you got you probably got some ghosts and stuff
run around that place.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
Probably not as many of the Greenbrier. If you talk
to the people with the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
In terms of like a bonding sort of team though thing,
it sounds like Sean was dying to have this moment
though that he feels this is really important part of
the season.

Speaker 6 (11:32):
He thinks those are epically important. And I can't imagine
they won't have some kind of trip every year during
the regular season, however they put it together, you know,
whether it's playing an international game or going to the
Greenbrier again between two East Coast games. I you know,

(11:52):
the way he talks about it every time, I find
it hard to believe he won't try to find a
way to do one every season.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
All right, anything else for Jeff, is any other any
other little English details you want to throw our away?
Anything we're missing out there.

Speaker 6 (12:09):
Well, I'm gonna say if NFL teams see the training
facility Tottenham has, they're gonna they're gonna like want some upgrades.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Well cool, Yeah, I would say look for a bombers
on ice or just get you get us one or two.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
I'll do what I can, all.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Right, Jeff, thank you for joining us from England. That
was awesome. Brought to you by the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers IBW Local sixty eight. Start with the job
and with the career, Tyler, does it matter in football
that you can bond together and travel for a week
in the middle of the season. I mean basketball obviously
does it all the time?

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Well, every sport, Frank, Well, I mean, I mean the
Nuggets have been going to San Diego for the week
start the season, right for training.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
Cap Yeah, that's in the beginning. I think there was
a little griping about facilities and stuff, but that's not
what it is. Because you could just go to the
Air Force. You can go anywhere and have multiple courts.
There's something.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
Yeah, yeah, I had training camp at the Air Force.
You know, I never did the mid season deal. I mean,
the closest I ever had to have played in Seattle.
When we would go East coast, we would go for
two days, you know, and that was like a big
road trip for us because we were gone for two
whole days. But I did, you know, as a young player,
I used to hate like the idea of having to
go away for training camp. But as I got older,

(13:24):
we played out there in Washington. We'd go down to Richmond,
Virginia for training camp for four years and I love
that period. Ban I mean, there is something unique in
Majestic just it's special when it's just you and your guys.
You go out, get get a beer after practice, whatever,
play some cards with the boys. It's just it's nothing
but time. It's it's Yeah, I think it's a cool thing.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Let me spitball theory, because I certainly don't have the
experience like you guys. I would guess if things are
going well for your team, it's an awesome experience. But
I do wonder if things are going poorly for your team,
if it's just the worst.

Speaker 7 (13:58):
Thing, that you'd probably be surprised. I don't know, Scott,
I think you'd be surprised that the guys even when
you know it's weird, like the teams that I feel
the both connected to the boys. Yeah, the worst teams
I was on and the best teams I was on,
and and and it's almost equal. I mean it was
a very unique bonding experience one way or the other.

(14:19):
So I think I think they probably have a lot
of fun about teams.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
The one thing, if if people are throwing contender on
your name and you were to have gone in and
lost in Philly and then completely not ready to play
and find a way to lose to New Jersey, New Jersey,
the hits that could set you back, though, I mean,
oh yeah, it sets you back. And instead last year
they went on that two game East Coast, changed the Sea,

(14:45):
changed the season. And maybe now starting off with the
winning Philly, this could be the catapult the other way
for the season this year.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Why is should Dart a car dealership talking about Joe Flacco?
We'll hear it coming up next playing Here comes the
Sun for the Browns? Did they ever see the sun
in Cleveland?

Speaker 7 (15:07):
Dooton doo doo backs there ah t back stays up
till the sun.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
We made this, We made that city Rock. We had
a night.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
So a sidebar's semi story on English music Jim Sure
Saturday at corus Field. Paul McCartney in time, how about that?

Speaker 4 (15:28):
You got some interest in seeing that one?

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (15:30):
We're going okay, all right, you guys don't miss a concert.
The warden.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
The warden gut tickets. So it's warden. I in in Ellie,
who's excited.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Does she know the music?

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (15:41):
She knows some of it. You know her name right?

Speaker 4 (15:44):
I didn't. Is that a that's a Beatles name?

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Ellie eleanor Really? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Well eleanor Rigby was pretty tragic musical. I mean it's
a great song song, but it's a little bit of
a sad story about GOODI Elean.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
My older daughter. Today, Elly go to school and she
was told her she's gonna go see Paul McCartney. And
she goes, wow, how lucky you are that you're gonna
get see the Beatles a beatle?

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Yes, there's only two left.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
And Ellie goes, yeah, this would be my second.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
One she's seen.

Speaker 7 (16:14):
Ringos shar Ringo Star was in town last winter sometime
like in last October November, ring with his all Star
band Ringo Star and his traveling all Star band. So
she got to see Ringo Star, like at the Paramount
or someplace like that, joined.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
To see him. And and uh is seeing Paul McCartney
this week?

Speaker 4 (16:32):
You have ever seen Paul McCartney.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
I've not seen Paul McCarty.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
I have, Tyler, No, Paul McCartney. I have seen him.
It's an unbelievable show.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
He was here what years ago, and.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
He's still killing. It's great shape. Every hit is a banger.
The band sounds unbelievable. You're I mean, you're gonna have
a great time.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Well, we've saw Billy Joel course Field that had a.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Blast, seen him twice a course Field.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Yeah, I thought he was I thought he was great.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
I had There was fat Billy Joel and then there
was kind of skinny Billy Joel.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
I think I was skinny the second one, yes, yeah,
that's all that one.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Yeah, fat Billy Joel was like, hmmm, you're okay, stop drinking, buddy.
But he got himself in a better shape. Well, good,
have a class.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Where are you sitting for that one third base side?

Speaker 4 (17:18):
It's concerts. It's Tyler of your concert of course Field.

Speaker 7 (17:22):
I've not done that.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Either they're they're they're quirky. Yeah, like you gotta have
you know, you're just sitting back kind of no matter
where you walk.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Yeah, unless you get one of those on the field seats.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Even the on the fields, I guess if you're in
the first three four rows something like that. But those
are hard tickets actually come by, and I don't know.
Whatever it's it'll be great. Hopefully the weather's good.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
That's it's sposed to be a nice day.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
The Abs are actually playing that night as well, so
downtown will be uh hopping and see you against Iowa State.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Yep, that's an early game. It's a one thirty game.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
It said, finally we're going. Why we're going to the game.
Oh cool, cool, Yeah, so it'll be our first CU
game this year because the time, the time's good. And
working a little bit at Rally House from tend to noon.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Oh paid again, there we go.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
But we're gonna do that. That's interesting. Better night, Paul
McCartney at Corsefield or watching the Avs play the Stars.
You go random back in town on Saturday night.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Well, I got the game tape, so I will I'll
get to see the game. Sunday sometimes after I watched
the tape Bronco game because Church Church, that church.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Am I stupid to think that that's thank you? See
you could pull an upset this week.

Speaker 7 (18:49):
I don't know, man, I mean, I'm kind of on
this kick lately that I'm actually convinced Colorda's pretty good
football team. I know they've got their deficiencies. I know
they've got problems. They don't have quarterback and that's the
biggest problem they got on that football team. But even
with the defensive deficiencies, I don't know if you guys
been tracking like any of the any of the college

(19:11):
statistics of like pro football focused and stuff. Colado's got
the best offensive line in the country. Like, they've got
the best offensive line in the country. They're bolving, I
mean time to time to pressure. The Buffs are averaging
like four point five to seven seconds before the quarterback
gets any pressure at all, which just goes to show
how insane it is all these dumb sacks that we've

(19:32):
actually been giving up.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
They do a lot of things.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
Well, they played TCU great, they played Georgia Tech well,
they played BYU well, I mean three top twenty five
teams that you probably should have won at least two
of the three even with your quarterback problem. If you
had half the quarterback at all, you might be an
undefeated football team. So no, I don't think you're insane.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
I just got a feeling about this one. And I'm
seeing this video of Prime, and I am curious, Dan,
if there's any reports of him being at practice to
day like you've out he would be and man and man,
is he putting things out there on social media, like
really personal stuff like him in hospital gowns and being
wheeled into the.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
That's why I said, I just don't know, man, I
just don't know, not because he's done coaching or board
or anything like that.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
I said. He said it was the sixteenth time that
he's been in like a hospital bedting years. Three years, Yes,
but but yeah, I mean a short period of time.
I'm like, wow, man, like I've only you guys again
would beat me on this. But I've had surgery one time.
One time I had an ACLMCL. I mean it felt

(20:40):
like a big deal to be in the freaking hospital.
I had some facet injections of my neck too, So
I guess that was twice.

Speaker 7 (20:49):
That's a procedure.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
That was definitely a procedure, ain't no doubt about it.
But they still put you in the gown, they put
you in the bed that you know they're still doing
all that, But no doubt, that's just a procedure for
the acl of course, did they not get.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Dan's got a picture of he's out of practice? There
you go, man, if you're out of practice, that's a
procedure in any surgery.

Speaker 7 (21:09):
Yeah, but you don't still put it under though they
said it was a four hour procedure. That sounds like
a surgery to.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Be well, that should be well again, I do I
count my putting me out and going up and blasting
two big old kidney stones? Is that surgery? Is that
a procedure?

Speaker 7 (21:28):
No? I think you had to count that. I don't know.
I mean if I was counting all my facet injections
and cortisone shots and all that, I mean, gosh, I
mean we're talking about in the twenties, right, Yeah, you know,
I've been through eight in my lifetime, eight legitimate surgeries.
And I feel like that's insane.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Right.

Speaker 7 (21:47):
Deon's had sixteen of these things in three years, And
how old.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
Is he fifty fifty eight.

Speaker 7 (21:52):
It's just a little bit older than the meame, yeah,
your body doesn't respond like.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
You think it's crazy. Good for him, man, I'm glad
to see the video of him out there. And let's
let's pete Iowa State. You know what I'm saying, Tyler.

Speaker 7 (22:03):
Like, let's go. The Sanders family is kind of coming
out against the Browns here late, aren't they? Well probably well,
I mean first it was dion Adis Presser when he
was asked asked about the Browns. He's like, I don't
give a darn about the about the Browns. I couldn't
care less about the Browns. I care about Sad. I
don't care about the Browns. Right now, we got Bucky

(22:24):
talking off.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
And Bucky was like, uh, if you told me a
year ago, we'd be two and four, my brother wouldn't
be out of the league, and my others on practice
squad you know, mother.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
A practice squad guy?

Speaker 7 (22:36):
Did he call him practice squad?

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Is that the way he used? Yeah? Wow? Didn't he
say that is a practice squad?

Speaker 4 (22:42):
Or texts scout scout scout scout scout scout scotch Okay,
well that sounds bad to Meanwhile, Shadur is at an
accurate dealership. It looks like I was looking at the
Kyahoga Acura.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
I was looking at the h the wheel right. It
looked like it was a little accurate somewhere in the
wheel cup.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
All right, So hear it? I am dying to know,
like why is he at the dealership? How did this one?
You know Cleveland muggle catch up with him? Like there's
so many questions here, but here is his back and forth.

Speaker 9 (23:15):
What did you think about the news today about Joe
Flacco getting traded to Cincinnati? Oh, Joe flaggo again? Traded
here was definitely somebody I leaned on for wisdom, and
I feel like he helped me a lot.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
He helped me a lot.

Speaker 9 (23:29):
One my time being here in Cleveland and his time
being here in Cleveland. So now, you know, everybody has
their own destinies and have their own plans they have
in life. So I'm just happy for him.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Have you talked to him yet? Yeah, I've seen him
in the facility.

Speaker 9 (23:44):
I've seen before or after the news after for sure.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (23:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (23:47):
And then he told me, I'm like, dang, that happened quick,
like that was crazy.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Okay, So certainly it's just gonna be Shadurbi in the backup.
So here comes Kevin Stefanski doing his Wednesday meeting you
and you know, obviously they're going to ask them about
the whole thing. Listen to what Stefanski has to say,
and you tell me how to interpret it. Here's the
fans when the trade took us by surprise.

Speaker 10 (24:10):
That was not something that we saw coming. You know,
they called us and you know that's uh. It was
happened very fast, and happened not too long ago. So
still working through all roster type of things. I just
I always have to be mindful of our players and
our players development, and you know, I want to make

(24:31):
sure that I'm always doing what's best for our players
and of course our a team. But you know, with
young players, I'm always thinking about last week making the
change to Dylan. You have to think long and hard
about that because these are these are young players that
you're so invested in their development. So I'll let the
week play out, make a decision later on that why not.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Yeah, there's number two next que.

Speaker 7 (24:51):
Yeah, how about to answer to answer the question, It's
not that difficult, and you know what I mean, Obviously,
it feels like it's leaving the door open for Bailey
Happy to be the backup quarterback. I mean that that's
very clear he's leaving the door open. But even if
he's not, you know what he's really doing, Like my
gut tells me sh is going to be the backup quarterback.
I think for reasons Scott brought up earlier. You want

(25:13):
to talk about a riot, you want to talk about
an outcry from the fan base, to share this coach, yeah,
to fire the coach, all those reasons, Like I don't
feel confident about anything anymore, but I feel relatively confident
he's gonna be the number two. But at the bottom line,
what that what that little presser was, that was just
continuing to put Shdur in his place, That's all. It

(25:34):
was like, Hey, Shander, yeah you might be the backup,
but I don't want you to feel like you earned it.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
You didn't.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
You didn't earn being the backup, but uh, yeah you
might be the guy.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
What has he done behind the scenes to piss all
these people off? With the Browns?

Speaker 7 (25:46):
I mean, honestly, he could be as simple as this, uh,
because I went through this uh in twenty twelve when
we drafted RG three with the second overall pick, and
then we drafted Kirk Cousins in the fourth round, and
Robert was just never likes guy. Just wasn't his guy.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (26:04):
That was the owner selection. And if if sad is
Shadur Sanders is the owner selection, then he didn't do anything.
It's just it wasn't his guy. It's like he's like, no,
I didn't pick him. So you know you're you're at
this point the fancy is probably almost darrying him to
fire him, like how Zapi is guy?

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (26:25):
But but what Tyler I think is saying, is anybody
but should exactly, it doesn't even matter, Like, hey.

Speaker 7 (26:30):
You made us pick somebody that I didn't want to pick,
so I'm not going to use it.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
I mean, if you want to make the Zappi reasoning,
the guy's actually played an NFL games, Bailey, Zappi has
started NFL games. I mean, I'm not saying it's great
or anything.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
But he's actually won, at least won last year.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
So do you want a guy as a backup who
has NFL experience or will be coming into the NFL
game for his first time. Stefanski's saying like, I'm worried
about the guy's development, and all that was pound sand coach,
give me a break. Okay, you're development like like you're
a high school or a college coach. Please you'd be
the first coach in the world that.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
And then find you a friendly writer and so well, yeah,
coach said he was worried about my development. Then I
wonder how you get development and get one snap of
practice every day.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
I agree, And like Dion said what he said, I
never got better by sitting on the bench. But this
would be the I don't know what you even do
if you're in this situation. If you get passed over
by daiies act.

Speaker 7 (27:32):
There's nothing you can do. And I guess the best
advice I would give to Shandur is don't start playing games,
even if you want to get out of there. The
whole league is just waiting for confirmation of whatever bias
they had coming into the draft, that you are a distraction,
that you are a problem. So he's not going to
do himself any favors by going out there and causing
a scene. And then, honestly, what I would really tell

(27:53):
him if I was giving him advice, Hey, shoulder your
best chance, especially at this point, your best chance of
any thing by your time until Kevin Stefancy he gets fired.
And if you were the owner's selection, if that really
is how it went down, don't be shocked if the
next owner actually hires a coach for the sole intention
of making Sdur Sanders work.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
All right, because he's still maybe named the backup. But
how big of an insult was it today that he
just wasn't named the backup by the coach.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Well, I'm kind of Tyler. It makes sense. He said.
This is another way to keep a thumb on the
kid and remind him who's in charge. The problem is,
if it doesn't work out, Gabriel sucks. Zappy comes in
and he sucks because he's only had a few days
or really don't know, he's been on the practice squad.
Right then they're not gonna be a soul in Cleveland.
Watch Stefansky to be there for next week. They're not

(28:45):
gonna be a soul. Lose this game. Gabriel looks bad,
and then and then what watch what this crowd does?

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Who they got guys? Anybody know the brown I don't
even really thought about it. Let's see the Browns got
this week. I thought it was Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh in Cleveland
or in Pittsburgh. In Pittsburgh.

Speaker 7 (29:07):
Well, and they're coming off of bye week.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
The Steelers, Wow, they didn't early buy. Well the Steelers
are what three and one?

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Then?

Speaker 4 (29:14):
Yeah, in first place, you're one and four, you're the Browns.
I don't know, man, It's probably not gonna go well
for Dylan Gabriel.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Right, we'll see.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
That's week six there, Scottie boy, you'd be but you'd
have schadur by your predictions starting next week.

Speaker 7 (29:36):
Yeah, I think you're gonna be close. But I bet,
I bet it's week nine or ten. I mean they're
gonna give Dylan Gabriel at least four games.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Right, Well, Gabriel comes in just to spit in the
bed or it gets hurt early and then boom boom boom,
Shoudar comes in. Don't let him come in and do
something good and then once again the fan base is
ready to explode all four Schudeur. I mean, that's one
thing his social media stuff has done for He's made
him but love by fans. So let Gabriel have to
come out and should do her get in there and

(30:04):
play well, do a couple of good things, and then
then watch what the fans are clamoring next week.

Speaker 4 (30:10):

Speaker 4 (30:54):
All right, let's get it rolling here. No dumb question. Uh,
let's see here, no dumb question. Is this the modern
version of the fans wearing paper bags for the Browns?
I don't think the Browns are quite there. I think
the Jets fans may be there.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
Be there in the past, so they've had bags in
the stadium in Brown Stadium.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Oh yeah, I don't know. I still feel like the
Browns have some like good pieces and ways to win
football game.

Speaker 7 (31:26):
Yeah, they You think they're worse than the Jets. Oh well,
the Jets are winless. I mean, I guess, technically speaking,
the Jets are the worst football team. But I put
them in just one giant pilot crud.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
I'm glad their defensive lineman, you know, wasn't about the
money and he just want to be on a contender
until they are offered Garrett but million years. He is
really good though. I mean, he's you're talking about Cleave.
That's one thing they've got because he can play. I
don't know, man, Dylan, Oh no, no, you're going good.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
You get five weeks into the season, you get a
pretty good picture of what teams are all about. Yeah,
you know, I mean, at least you really see the
bottom feeders. And you're right, like the Jets will probably
figure out how to win. I don't know, every team
Tyler seems to win a game.

Speaker 7 (32:16):
They're gonna win a couple of games, and nobody's gonna
think they're gonna be the team shooting. I'm sure the
Eagles didn't think they were gonna lose to the Broncos
last week. Right now, I'm not compared to the Broncos
of the Jets. That's not what I'm trying to do.
But they weird things happen, and that's why I just say, like,
the only thing that makes me a little bit uneasy
about this game is the fact that it's in London.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
Yeah, let's travel. You just never know.

Speaker 4 (32:38):
I grew up in Cleveland. I love all the smack
talk about the Brownies and Stefanski. He deserves to be fired.
Do you think Stefanski will be fired? No, dumb question
during the season, Susie.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
I think he's the leading candidate of any en season
coaching Incorrect, there's another.

Speaker 7 (32:59):
I think there's two that are bumping in season.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
Yeah, well, let's play this game a little bit. Yeah
you think there's two. Yeah, well, I don't think Aaron
Glenn's one of them.

Speaker 7 (33:09):
Nope.

Speaker 3 (33:10):
Okay, New Orleans just got a new coach. They're not
one of them.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
Nope, Carolina, I would. I don't even know the Carolina guy. No,
I don't think so he's new? Is Dave canw Is
this is his second year or his first year, second year,
I think second, second year. Yeah, so maybe him.

Speaker 7 (33:29):
You guys can't even think of like the contenders.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
Who in season firing. Yeah, hold on a second, let's
think about this for a second. Who how about Jonathan
Gannon in Arizona? Many times? Can you beat up your players? Well,
by the way, he did get fined. You see what
the fine was?

Speaker 3 (33:49):
A grand. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
So you hit a you hit a player, if you
get am if you give the middle finger to a
fan on the other team, like Jerry Jones, you get
two fifty. You can hit a player in the NFL,
physically hit him. Hunder grand. We're laying down the parameters,
all right, Who.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
Do you got what?

Speaker 7 (34:08):
Mike McDaniel and and Brian Callen.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Okay, because it's his second year too.

Speaker 7 (34:16):
They're the two code there, They've got the two hottest seats.
I mean Mike Mike's response last week. I mean, I know,
we have a lot of fun with Mike and his
slow delivery and you know, his stuttering and his arms
and all those sorts of things. But when he was
asked about his meeting with the owner after the game,
oh my gosh, he literally couldn't find words. I mean,
that that's how that's how you know it was a
bad meeting. They said, well, what did the owner say

(34:38):
to you? And he's said, well, you know, he relayed
the fact that he was disappointed as I was. We
were disappointed in the outcome. Mike's my guy. I love Mike,
but he's under a tremendous amount of pressure right now
in season.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Huh paid their quarterback?

Speaker 4 (34:58):
No dumb question in Mark Sanchez have surgery or a procedure.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
I bet it was surgery.

Speaker 7 (35:06):
Have you guys seen the photos of another dude?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Are those real or those ai? Those are real? I
think they're real. I mean I saw a photo. I
mean they were disturbed.

Speaker 7 (35:14):
I mean the dude's face is like it's it's so
like the wound is so deep you can basically see
the teeth.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Yeah, okay, I just I'm just so dubious about everything
online now, whether it's it's real or if it's fake.
I mean, if that is real, I'm pretty sure they're real. Well,
it's disturbing and and Mark Sanchez maybe going to jail
if if, if all that is what it is. I mean,
I don't know what to say about uh, a surgery

(35:43):
or procedure. He got stabbed to the chest.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Stitches procedures you've got if you got nick dating veins
or anything inside.

Speaker 7 (35:52):
Yeah, you know, I mean, you know, as long as
long as you're just a clean stab, that's just a
minor procedure.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Text is a long suffering Dolphin fan. Good rids to me, Daniel,
get rid of our GM two O.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Guy.

Speaker 7 (36:07):
Shoot, I saw someone brought up on the text line
this weekend the high school game.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
I was calling a coach God that made well, that's
making some news. Now, did you know what he got
suspended for?

Speaker 7 (36:18):
It was like two weeks or something.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
How about that? Did you guys have that in your call?

Speaker 7 (36:27):
Like? Could you see what was well? It was definitely
a part of the broadcast, but it was like the
second to last play of the game and Valor was
driving trying to win the game. They threw an interception, uh,
and then Valor tackled the Mountain Vista kid into the
Mountain Vista sideline and it turned into just like a
male not not a melee, like just a just a

(36:48):
huge body of of of human beings and you couldn't
see what the hell was going on. Clearly something was happening,
But there is video evidence. I don't know if you
guys see the video, there there's video that shows it.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
I saw it was a mom mom or.

Speaker 7 (37:01):
It wasn't so much like a hit. It was like
it looked like it was like a grab of the
guy's head in like a strong shove.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
I thought he was shoving the guy out of the pile.
That's what I thought. I didn't. I didn't see a punch, correct,
like the coach, but the way they coached in Arizona
was a punch. Oh yeah, this right here would look
looked at me like he's shoving people out of the pile.

Speaker 7 (37:24):
But the way the referees announced it was a coach
has been ejected for hitting a player.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
Yeah, no dumb question. Is it considered elder abuse to
start Flacco behind the Bengals?

Speaker 7 (37:35):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Line, he's going. He's starting this week for the Bengals.

Speaker 7 (37:38):
Yeah, pretty amazing.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
How do you think that's gonna go?

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Ad? No dumb question. Then, does Browning play in this game? Well?

Speaker 4 (37:47):
I don't know what their situation is. What I mean,
does he is he the backup? I have no idea
what they're doing. No dumb question. Who has been the
bigger college letdown this year, Clemson, Penn State or Texas. Well,
I think it's gotta be Texas. I don't know, man, dude,
They're top they were top five to start the year.
They're not even in the top twenty five.

Speaker 7 (38:08):
They dropped two straight games to a top ten team
and ranked team. They're They're pretty far down that list.
Clemson's pretty far down that list.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
And Clemson had a you know, big time quarterback too.

Speaker 7 (38:19):
I was I was reading stuff yesterday that their question
whether Arch Banning will even be invited back to the
team next year. What yeah, wow, yeah, we'll see you
can use it. I mean, how much of that is hyperbole?

Speaker 3 (38:34):
You know?

Speaker 7 (38:34):
I don't know. I'm just saying I read an article
that that was the headline.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
Well, if it's going in that direction, the bigger disappointment's
got to be Texas. I mean, we're talking about a
guy who was projected to be a top draft pick
this year before the season started.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Well, yeah, he's he's and it's not fair really, but
he's following under the hype of the last name too.
He's carrying he's carrying a serious weight of that last name.
He might need to go What's what's the dude that's
dressing up and pretending Devin quarterback.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Chad Powers.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
Yeah, he needs to go Chad Powers and go to
some other school transfer.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
Ind As you know, I'm not trying to do a spoiler,
but do you know what the premise and it's in
the first minute of the of the TV shows. I
don't think I'm spoiling that much, but do you know
what the premise is of Chad Powers going to the
dark side and getting pushed out of the limelight.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
He blew a game or something?

Speaker 4 (39:32):
Did he He's playing for Oregon against I think like
Georgia or something like that. It's a national championship game.
He runs for what it should be a winning touchdown.
He drops the ball before the goal line, the ball
is picked up and his time expires. Georgia. For the

(39:53):
sake of argument, I think it's Georgia runs in for
the winning touchdown, but that's not it. As they're celebrating,
there's a kid in a wheelchair with his dad on
the sideline who's an Oregon Ducks fan. And by the way,
for the show, they're using all the logos, so he's
in an Oregon Ducks outfit the kids in ducks gear.

(40:17):
He hits the dad who knocks over the kid in
the wheelchair, and that is how he is like thrown
out of everything. That's how the show starts. That's how
Chad Powers like goes from you know, being a hero
to a zero. It's like, wow, man, I mean we're
going not only losing the game, but we're knocking out

(40:38):
a dad who knocks over a kid in a wheelchair.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
Who's the running back to punch the kid after the
bowl game and end up having ten.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
Oh my god, I.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
Think, yeah, punch somebody like in the celebration after the game,
and yeah, I think he got ten years in the league. Didn't.

Speaker 7 (40:54):
Oh yeah, he had a great career. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
In fact, when did he sign late with Tampa the
year that want it?

Speaker 7 (40:58):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (41:00):
I don't know what the future for Chad Powers. Are
you guys gonna watch that show or not? Should I
just shut up about it?

Speaker 7 (41:05):
Or it's not on my list?

Speaker 3 (41:08):
Right now?

Speaker 7 (41:09):
I'm watching Jason Bateman.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
I'm watching that.

Speaker 7 (41:12):
Oh I'm like four episodes in.

Speaker 4 (41:14):
Oh so you're about halfway or so?

Speaker 7 (41:15):
Yeah, good show. I'm falling behind on task. I got
to get back to task.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
Yeah, I'm almost done with angels singing. You know, they
went off for a romantic weekend or out by the
lake by themselves, got away from the cameras.

Speaker 4 (41:30):
Okay, big question of the day comes up next
