Ready Freddy loved his red fire truck more than anything.
It had flashing lights and made real siren sounds. One
sunny afternoon, his friend Billy came over to play. Can

I play with your fire truck? Billy asked eagerly. Freddy
hugged his toy tightly. No, it's mine, he replied. Billy's
smile faded. Okay, he said softly, turning to play alone.
As Freddy played by himself, he noticed it wasn't as
fun without Billy. The sirens weren't as exciting, and the

lights didn't shine as bright. Part two. Making amends. The
next day, Freddy knocked on Billy's door. I'm sorry for
not sharing my fire truck, Freddy said, Do you want
to come over and play with it together? Billy's face

pretending to be fire fighters, rescuing kittens from trees and
putting out imaginary fires. Freddy realized that sharing made playtime
more enjoyable. Part three, Helping a stranger. Later that week,
while playing in the park, Freddy saw a little girl
crying what's wrong, he asked, I lost my doll. She sniffled.

Freddy remembered how sad he felt when he thought he'd
lost his fire truck. I'll help you find it, he offered.
They searched high and low until Freddy spotted the doll
under a bench. The girl's face beamed with joy as
she hugged her doll tightly. Thank you, she exclaimed. Freddy

felt a warm glow inside, knowing he'd help someone in need.
Part four, a Generous Heart. One day at the store,
Freddy saw a boy looking longingly at a toy. Why
don't you get it, Freddie asked, I don't have enough money,
the boy replied sadly. Freddy reached into his pocket and

handed the boy some coins. Here, you can have this.
The boy's eyes widened with gratitude. Thank you so much.
Freddie's mom smiled proudly. That was very kind of you.
