Speaker 1 (00:00):
Freddy Goes to the Zoo. Part one, A Big Day
at the Zoo. Ready, Freddy had been counting down the
days until his zoo trip. To day was finally the day.
He jumped out of bed, put on his favorite animal
t shirt and couldn't stop smiling. When Freddy arrived at

(00:21):
the zoo, his eyes grew wide. Wow. He said, the
zoo was much bigger than he imagined. There were animal
sounds everywhere, roaring, trumpeting, chirping. First, Freddy visited the elephants.
They're huge, he shouted, watching them flap their big ears
and spray water with their trunks. Then he saw the

(00:44):
lions resting under the trees, the tigers pacing back and forth,
and even some silly bears scratching their backs against trees.
He giggled. When he reached the monkey house, the monkeys
were swinging from ropes making funny faces at him. Part two.
Meeting Leo the Lion Cub. As Freddy walked by the

(01:08):
lion enclosure, something amazing happened. A small lion cub patted
up to the fence. Hi there, Freddy said. The zoo
keeper smiled, that's Leo. He's very friendly. Leo gave a
little roar and wagged his tail. Freddy laughed. Soon Leo
and Freddy were playing together. They pretended to chase each other,

(01:32):
and Leo even let Freddy scratch behind his ears. Freddy
felt like he was part of Leo's pride. Part three
A scary moment. Suddenly, a loud noise startled Leo. He
ran and hid behind a big rock, trembling. Freddy felt worried.
Oh no, poor Leo, he whispered. He slowly walked toward

(01:54):
the rock and spoke gently. It's okay, Leo, I'm here safe.
Leo peeked out. His little ears perked up. Freddy knelt
down and held out his hand. Come on, buddy. Leo
stepped closer, then rubbed his head against Freddy's hand, purring softly.
Freddie smiled. See Everything's okay. Part four A Dream for

(02:20):
the future. Freddie and Leo played a little longer until
it was time to go. Freddie gave Leo a hug.
I'll come visit you again. Soon as they left the zoo,
Freddie thought about all the animals he saw and everything
he had learned mom. Freddie said, when I grow up,

(02:42):
I want to work with animals. I want to be
a zoologist, His mom smiled proudly. That sounds wonderful, Freddie.
Freddie looked back at the zoo one last time. He
couldn't wait for his next adventure, the end. As always,
